It's Almost Here! North American Solar Eclipse, 2024
As I mentioned in that other post, it will be visible as at least a partial eclipse to most of North America, with the path of totality cutting a diagonal from Sinaloa, Mexico to Newfoundland, Canada, including 15 US states from Texas to Maine.
Don't be fooled by how we just had one back in October, and another one a few years ago in 2017: total solar eclipses are rare! They only happen when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up just perfectly--and only for a small portion of the Earth's surface each time.
It's a wild coincidence that North America/the US has gotten three in such a short span of time; the last one before the recent trio was in 1979, and the next one won't be until 2044. (We do have a big partial coming to us in 2033!) The Northeastern US won't see another until the 2070's.
(Note: If you are not in North America, you can use these maps to see when your continent will have its turn!)
This eclipse is also really special in that its path of totality sweeps across a lot of heavily-populated areas. About 31 million people live within the path of totality, and millions more are expected to visit.
So, it's a pretty big deal, and now's the time to get ready!
If you live in the path of totality:
Lucky you! Look up your location on these maps to get the exact time and duration of totality.
Be ready for extra traffic & crowds--especially if you live somewhere with stuff for tourists, or a place that people outside the immediate area will have heard of.
Totality times are in the afternoon, ranging from about 1:30 in Texas to 3:30 in Maine (local times), so if you'll be at school, or at work in a setting where you can't choose your own break times, now's a good time to talk to whomever you need to. It's not unreasonable to ask to step out into the parking lot for the three minutes that people will be coming from far and wide to see--but depending on your setting, it may take some arranging ahead of time. (If you're in school, hopefully your science teachers have already thought of this, but if not, ask them. And if your science teachers are jerks, try other teachers.
If you live near the path of totality:
Try to go! As the American author Annie Dillard says, "Seeing a partial eclipse bears the same relation to seeing a total eclipse as kissing a man does to marrying him, or as flying in an airplane does to falling out of an airplane."
(Link is to the Atlantic; if you hit a paywall, the 12-foot ladder works.)
Here's a map of approximate driving distances to the path of totality, in the US (from this page).
If you're close enough to think about going, here are some Google maps with eclipse overlays for more detailed planning. (I like the Xavier Jubier one.)
Once you're inside the path of totality, anywhere you can see the sun is a valid viewing location, but if you're making a day of it and you want to find a special spot, check local visitor's bureaus or tourism offices for the area you'll be in. They'll probably have a list of parks and other places. For instance, here's what Erie, Pennsylvania has.
Seriously, If you are able to drive/have a car, live within day-trip distance of the path of totality, and can be away from work/school without losing your job/being arrested for truancy, you should go. This is a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing, and there's still loads of time to plan a day-trip.
(Note: If you aren't in day-trip distance, but now you want to go, you don't have a lot of options: hotels and flights have been full for ages. However, if you're in two-days-driving distance, you might be able to find a Sunday-night base camp, from which you can get up on Monday morning and drive several more hours to the path of totality. For instance, in Pennsylvania, there are still reasonably-priced hotel rooms to be had in State College, which is--in normal traffic--three and a half hours from Erie. (You might even be able to get a little closer than that; I just checked State College because they have a lot of hotels for the Penn State football crowds.} So if you're coming from, say, Maryland or Virginia, that could work, and there may be similar creative options for other regions. Again, if this is something that's feasible for you to do, without bankrupting yourself, getting fired, or other long-term consequences, I would strongly consider doing it!
If you live in North America, but have no way to get to the totality:
A partial eclipse is still pretty cool! And again, it'll be a while before you have another chance to see one, so it's worth it to make the time.
All of the 48 contiguous US states will be able to see some amount of eclipse. So will Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, and most of Canada and the Caribbean islands, plus a little bit of South America. (Alaska and part of the Yukon are SOL, but you will have your turn in 2033!)
Use these maps to look up the time and extent of the eclipse in your location.
As of this writing, you can still get eclipse glasses here, among other places. If you run out of time to get them, check for eclipse-viewing events at local parks, libraries, etc.--they may also have some to give away ahead of time, but even if not, if you go to an event, there will almost certainly be some to share.
The plus of a partial eclipse is that you have a fairly relaxed viewing window--as much as a couple of hours, depending how far you are from the middle of the eclipse zone--rather than a standout moment that you want to make sure you're in position for.
That makes it pretty easy to get a chance to see it even if you're at work--everybody can take turns stepping outside for a look. You can share eclipse glasses, too.

How abt a crack au where after the cultural festival class 1a decide to all quit school and be a band full time, and they become so popular that most villains give up villaining to go to shows instead and to make sure 1a dont feel the need to switch back to being heroes
1- a quarter of the class has already committed vigilantism, Izuku just encountered two more and is musing on the meeting while riding the high of Jiro's song being able to do for Eri what several heroes couldn't, so a lot of the class is like "well it'll be fine, we can do music and help people on the side, technically until they cancel our provisional licenses or they expire in three years, it won't even be illegal."
2- Todoroki, who doesn't have his licence yet, weighs the pros and cons. He'd like to not have to go to any more remedial lessons where his dad shows up when when he's not supposed to. He asks Jiro about more ice and fire effects, and agrees to go. Tensei was in the family audience and tells Tenya he did an amazing job, which Tenya takes as permission and encouragement to go even though that's absolutely not what Tensei meant and he had no suspicion of the plan at the time. Uraraka looks at the streaming numbers and how much they can earn even with low priced tickets, and agrees. Etc etc etc
3- Bakugou only agrees because Kaminari needled him about being too good to. Unlike Todoroki, he does still attend remedial classes and sends in his normal assignments to UA, somehow while in the band full time, and in the group constantly on the run from Nedzu and various others trying to hunt them down.
4- crime rates plummet to pre-Kamino levels due to villains realizing if the kids stop the band, they're all screwed. The fact that several different villains go to a show and somehow aren't seen again doesn't really get out though to warn anyone off, probably because nobody cared about the Chimera and Mummy, and because when Tomura sent Dabi to find out where Twice and Toga had vanished to, he didn't bother to look.
5- Most of the vestiges are unhappy with this decision to join a band, Second and Third loudly complaining about the immaturity, Yoichi quietly confused and disappointed, Hikage nursing a permanent headache, but Banjo is thrilled, En doesn't say anything either way but wanted to be in a band himself when he was alive, and Nana's just glad Izuku's having fun and helping people smile. For his part, Toshinori is having a blast and is amazed at how Izuku is getting stronger with his quirk even focused as he is at using it for shows and dancing. AfO is a distant threat but one he knows Izuku can handle if he ever breaks out of prison, and in the meantime he needs to make sure all his former students are eating enough to keep up their strength. Hey what's that black stuff coming out of young Midoriya's arm-

Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Season 2 Episode 6 Review
- Suletta needs to learn proper coping techniques fast. Just ignoring the problem doesn’t make it go away. All that does is let it build up inside you until you snap. However, since the very beginning, Suletta has acted as a doormat, letting people walk all over her without speaking up for herself. She deserves to be sad, she deserves to be angry. Being a people-pleaser will only just tear her apart more. Luckily, both Chuchu and Eri realized this, and while Chuchu went about it the healthier way, it was good of Eri to finally cut off Suletta. She needs to establish a life outside of being Aerial’s pilot. It might have been what she was made for, but fuck destiny and parental expectations! Live your own life tanuki!
- Earth House claiming the best supporting character spots simply by recognizing what’s wrong with Suletta and actually acting on it, especially Chuchu. She pushes Suletta to express her true feelings and makes the plan to go see Miorine so she can explain herself. She’s grown up from the violent little doggy she was before. She uses her anger to push her forward, but she isn’t letting it take over her like Norea
- Poor Lauda is projecting his insecurities onto Suletta (though he isn’t really wrong.) He’s dedicated his life and self worth into supporting his brother, much like Suletta with Aerial, and now that Miorine’s the one by his side, he feels empty. He needs to come into his own as person and separate himself from his brother. I can only hope his adorable girlfriend Petra can help him through these times.
- Lauda and Felsi thanking Chuchu made me weak. They’re so honorable. But what shot me in the heart was Felsi’s smile and look back at Chuchu before she ran off. She loves that poofy girl so much. I’d love to see the two go to Earth and fight together
- I feel so bad for Martin. He did the right thing in reporting Nika because she never explained herself despite him giving her multiple chances, and he wanted to protect the rest of his friends. Dude’s carrying a heavy weight on his shoulders, but his little therapy session just made it worse.
- WHAT THE FUCK SECELIA!
- Girl created a whole catholic confession booth on the school to figure out the student’s dirty secrets. Interesting thing though, is that it’s Rouji’s Haro instead of the normal ones. The normal Haro’s are connected to the authorities and report everything but since Rouji’s is custom, it probably doesn’t have that feature. And is Secelia doing this just because she likes gossip or because she’s now taking her job seriously and wants to weed out any dangerous individuals? Or is the Burion House sort of like a secret police that monitors everyone?
- Shaddiq ONCE AGAIN is a total snake, but he’s definitely bit off more than he could chew by meeting with Prospera. If Shaddiq is two steps ahead of our main cast, Prospera is at the top of the stairs ready to push him down
- Peil House is the worst group of people I’ve ever seen in my life. They literally just let a computer decide the fates of orphaned children and pick out which ones they’ll experiment on. Elan Prime was lucky. He could have ended up another Enhanced Person if fate decided to be a dick. Which probably only makes El5n even more pissed. Like, he could have been the special one, but instead some computer decided he wasn’t important enough
- Speaking of El5n, my beloved, tight lips my ass. Bro just spilled the whole tea on Peil to two random fugitives. Shows just how much he hates them. But poor Nika wasn’t expecting to have to deal with all that and now she’s floundering. Maybe she’ll start working on Gundams that don’t kill people. Also El5n calling out Norea and pointing out the similarities between each other all while she’s trying to stab him is hot and I ship them so hard. Nika should ask Sabina for a separate room or she’ll be witness to their hatefucking
- Finally we see the Schwarzette! There’s been so much discussion about this suit, what it was or who would pilot it, and now we get to see it in all its glory. We’ll have to see if the AI will take on the Permet strain or if it’ll hurt the pilot.
- If this anime wasn’t political already, then we’re about to get sooooo political. Miorine is gonna have a hard time connecting with the rioters considering her position and personality. Maybe Guel will be able to help her navigate, and maybe even use his Dawn of Fold connections. Personally, if they want to help, I think setting up field hospitals would be the first best step but that’s just me
- The swole chad Kenanji has now joined the group and I’m so excited. Bro was hyped up in the prologue and then dropped off the face of the earth. But considering he’s on the same spaceship as Prospera, I don’t think he’ll be getting out of it alive
- Eri’s a savage. She allowed Suletta to come to her just to tell her she’s ditching her. Like, I know she’s trying to help, but she could have been gentler. And activating the Permet really didn’t help either.
- Prospera actually does something nice and stops using Suletta for her revenge. But she still doesn’t explain anything and this leaves Suletta a sobbing broken mess out in space. Truly the mother of the year. But the way she defers to Eri shows that ultimately, she’s a broken woman who just wants her daughter back. Everything she’s done is all so she can be with Eri again, ignoring the thousands of people she’s trampled
Next episode is gonna be painful as well. I don’t expect good things to happen on Earth, especially not since karma magnet Guel and warcrime MILF Prospera are there. Also since Shaddiq was the title vocalist, maybe we’ll get more of his backstory?

Your OCs first impressions of Kyle? This could be either in his high school recovering asshole phase or him as an adult.
Oooh thank you!
Rae: She's dealt with the same "suave asshole as a front" personality back when she first met Warren, so she's able to see through it pretty quick and tell him to cut the crap. After that, they probably get along pretty well, since Rae's no stranger to a sharp sense of humor.
Robin: Would probably just avoid him back in his recovering-asshole phase, but would kinda hit it off as adults. He seems really nice, and genuinely compassionate, and she'd offer to help out at his nonprofit on the weekends.
Madison: Would hate his guts back in his recovering-asshole phase, since she's had a lot of bad experiences with dickwad jocks like him. She'd respect him a lot more as an adult, but they probably wouldn't talk much.
Ophelia: If they met in high school, he'd probably have bullied her, quite honestly. She was a weird kid, and hadn't grown into her confidence and wit at that point. As an adult, she'd be fascinated by his abilities and would insist on running (harmless, painless) tests - which might end in a pair of gloves that insulate his ability from nearby tech, so he can use technology normally.
Gia: As an adult, would appreciate how much work he does for the community and would offer to help out herself - she struggles to be away from her shop, but she'll donate a bit of spare cash when she can and doesn't mind people crashing on her couch if they don't have anywhere else to go.
Jasper: (as an adult) Thinks it's pretty funny that he has the exact same name as their boyfriend, and respects how much philanthropy he does for his community. Also offers an open-invitation for free medical aid to anyone involved with his nonprofit.
Kestrel: Can definitely empathize with trying to become a better person from your past, and would probably connect on... well, probably a much deeper level than Kyle really expected. They don't mean to turn the conversation in that direction so quickly, but it's rare that they find someone who really understands what that feels like, and how much effort it takes to really improve as a person.
Katherine: He reminds her a little of Jace, though that could mostly be the whole good-person-volunteer thing (Jace volunteers at a senior center, sometimes Katherine goes with him to help out). They'd get along well, though she might struggle a bit to learn about how he was in high school, since she was severely tormented and bullied by the same type of people when she was that age.
Quinn: Kind of a blend of annoyance and respect - annoyance for how capital-G Good he seems, at least on first meeting him, but respect for his cause since he really did pick one she can get behind. She'd probably assume he's one of those obnoxious holier-than-thou Mr. Altruism types, but once she actually met him they'd probably get along a little better.
Eris: Similar reaction to Quinn, but a bit more intense - they'd definitely be annoyed by him, no matter how much they might respect his cause (and really, if she's going to respect any noble cause, it'll be that one, since Amazonians are canonically reincarnated victims of domestic abuse). He'd probably scoff and brush it aside, maybe taunt him for being a goody two-shoes or something... but Kyle is surprised when they show up at the shelter that weekend with a huge basket of (possibly stolen?) toiletries, laundry detergent, feminine supplies, pet food, and other much-needed donations. Eris ends up sitting in the corner, passing out supplies and generating a list of names for who to hunt down once they leave. She glares at Kyle when she leaves, warning him not to say a damn word about this, but it seems this particular cause has struck on something awfully close to the heart for them.
Nikoletta: Kyle probably recognizes her behaviors from some of the people in his shelter - the she's been through a lot of trauma and has made herself cold and guarded as a defense mechanism - and Nikoletta gets really uncomfortable at the way he seems to look straight through her. He also offers his help, as tactfully as he can, in case she's in a bad situation and needs to get out. Nik just ducks the questions for as long as she can, but eventually admits that no, she's actually in the most stable home situation she's ever been in, and the wounds he sees are much older. She still avoids any offer of help, she's too proud for that.

I put far too much effort but I went through every AU and made a list of every single AU I think Izuku would know how to tie a tie in, with a few that he doesn't because I thought I could write something funny about it. (Honestly if you don't "answer" this ask just so you don't have to tag 42 AUs I completely understand.)
AOYMBA: All Might + 19 new siblings Bakugou Izuku: Mitsuki refused to let him not know Batfam: Alfred taught him Blue Sky: Hana taught him CTG: He learned to earn more XP Chaos for All: Nedzu taught him Childhood Friends: Mitsuki or Bakugou. Cleaner: Kaina had to learn it from the HPSC and decided to teach him for some bonding. Clone for One: Legitimate Businessman Midoriya Hisashi doesn't even bother with ties, and is in fact encouraging Izuku to not wear one at all. Early Meeting: All Might again. Equivalent Exchange: He actually doesn't know how to tie a tie, but he can rearrange the tie with his quirk so it's perfectly tied. Exciting New Problems: Learns it to spite his dad, who has also no idea how to tie a tie despite being 200 years old. Gentle Whisper: Gentle taught him. Grandfather for One: Hisashi taught him. HPSC President: He probably would here just to appear more professional, but it'd be so funny if he didn't. Hustle and Bust: The more professional you look, the easier it is to hustle. Inhumans: I think it'd be funnier if Cathleen doesn't know how to tie a tie so neither does Izuku. Inko/Cathleen/Kaina: Kaina again. KEM: Mitsuki or Bakugou again. Little Mouse: Nedzu again. Longshot: Kaina again. Mahoudoriya: Mascot teaches him, cause the Mascot understands the importance of presentation. Midoriya Shoto: Natsuo teaches him. Midoriya Yo: Yo teaches him. MPMS: Ashido and/or Kirishima teaches him. Neighborhood Vampire: You know what? Toga taught him in middle school to help him be Normal. Protégé Swap: Nighteye teaches him. Psychic Stockpile: He reads the nearest mind to help tie it most of the time. Quasar: Toshinori teaches him. Relocated: The Yukiyamas teach him. SLC: All Might again. Secret Rat Society: Nedzu again. Singularity: Nana teaches him. Star Spangled: If Cathleen knows she teaches him. Tamama no Mom: Tamamo no Mae teaches him. Thorns: He can use a tie to kill a maximum of 3 people at once with 12 ways, but he can not properly tie it. Toontown: He can use his quirk to get a wacky tie as part of a gag, but he himself cannot tie one. Vampire Lord: Thank god he has minions to teach him, Toga again. Wonder Duo: Mitsuki or Bakugou again. Yakuza Inko: Important to look the part. Yakuza Princess Eri: Eri either teaches him, or he learns under Eri's orders. Yami: Yami teaches him.
To be fair I generally stopped tagging my 'list of X aus' asks
I am going to say that Yami has never seen a tie before on account of being an ancient spirit

Okay, so Things are definitely happening in Episode 18. Suletta coping in her usual, unhealthy Suletta-like way, with the remainder of Earth House recognizing how unhealthy it is for her to be acting the way she is, and Chuchu in particular encouraging Suletta to give Guel and Miorine a piece of her mind. Which... kind of falls apart, fast. Rather than meet Miorine, Sulettta uses the opportunity to have a heart to heart with the Aerial, and learns the truth of what the Aerial is, or rather, WHO it is... and that Eri no longer needs her. As Suletta is trying to make sense of it all, Eri tells her to let go of both her and her mother for her own sake, and ejects Suletta from the cockpit, and is met by Prospera, who Suletta seeks comfort from, only to be left drifting alone by her mother, who tells her to go to school and live her life.
In a surprising turn of events, Prospera... lets Suletta be, because Eri wanted her sister to live her own life. This is probably the kindest thing Prospera has done for Suletta, when previously she'd done nothing but manipulate her own daughter for her own ends, and from her own subdued actions and tone of voice... it feels remarkably genuine, even as she tries to suggest to Eri that they take her along anyway, but in the end agrees with Eri to leave Suletta alone for her own sake. But even then, it's only served to hurt Suletta all the more, especially as she is desperately trying to find a way forward, and is unable to do so on her own. Miorine cast her aside, even if it was to protect her. Prospera and Eri cast her aside, because Eri wants her sister to live a normal life, and Prospera does so at this point because Eri asked her to, and Prospera herself has no real need for Suletta as Aerial's pilot anymore. She is, as Lauda states... "empty." As hurtful as his words are, he's right in a way. At this moment in time, Suletta's a puppet with her strings cut, struggling to find a way forward out of the darkness she's found herself in.
But then of course there's the B-plot, with Guel and Miorine struggling to find support for Jeturk Heavy Machinery in the wake of his father's death. Prospera reveals that they have a Gundam in development, which angers Miorine, but as Prospera points out, the Schwarzette was a joint venture between Jeturk and Shin-Sei, before the latter was acquired by GUND-ARM Inc.. Miorine refuses to deviate from her vision to have GUND-ARM remain a medical tech company, but plans to bring Aerial to Earth to help de-escalate the riots, but without fighting. Only time will tell how that works out for them, but in the mean time, they confront Shaddiq, who had been attempting to sway Prospera to her side, but is interrupted from his under the table bullshit by Guel and Miorine. Shaddiq then takes that opportunity to declare himself their opponent in the race for the presidential seat.
Meanwhile Martin confesses what he did, trying to convince himself that what he did was the right thing to do, but SURPRISE BITCH, IT'S SECELIA DOTE, calling him a dirty double crossing rat while looking like the cat that just caught the canary. She's found a BIG scoop, and she's not about to let Martin go any time soon. I'd feel sorry for him, because while what he did makes sense from a certain point of view, he still sold out Nika without understanding her side of the story, believing her to be no better than the other terrorists when the viewers know otherwise. Thus, this doesn't make me feels as sorry for Martin as I thought it would, and instead feels more like Karma getting the guy in a chokehold.
frst of all I need t oknow who the FUCK let Secelia into that room. Like she has a talent for making things worse why the hell is she in there
This episode left me so confused. Is Eri trying to protect Suletta by breaking her heart too? From what I read in the short story, Aeria's priority has always been protecting Suletta from Prospera. Eri wants Suletta to be free, is that why she also broke her heart? And what about Prospera. Prospera wanted Suletta to come along but agreed with Eri in which she should be free. Does she care about Suletta after all? Like you said, this was the kindest thing Prospera has ever done by Suletta.
But I'm also realizing that Suletta has had no agency in anything since the start of the series. She's always doing what someone else wants, be it her mother, Miorine, or even Aerial. And now for the first time those bonds of dependency are broken. It destroyed me to see Suletta cry so hard but for the first time she is truly free and she is empty. What is she gonna do with that freedom?
Another thing I actually loved about this episode was EL5n. He really has reached a level of desperation where he doesnt' care about the consequences anymore because he knows what's waiting for him at the end of the line. He knows he's going to be scraped like El4n and he's like hey might as well explain what I'm about. I have come to really like El5n after all because I'm a garbage lover and also because his story is as sad and heartbreaking as El4n. He's a teenager who got genetically manipulated to pilot gundams and had to throw away his identity only to be killed when he isn't useful anymore, and he has become increasingly more desperate, and he is empty because he also has no agency over anything. Him telling Norea and Nika the truth about himself was probably the only act he has ever had control over.
ngl I was really excited for the Schwarzette reveal. I thought we weren't gonna see it until a final battle or something. I'm so worried about Guel and Miorine too. They're going againt Shaddiq, with Prospera as an "ally". Shaddiq has ties to earth and a whole team of shady lesbians who support him, and we know Prospera is manipulating Miorine to do what she wants. And Guel is getting dragged into this as well. It's funny how Miorine is going to earth now. Will she realize her dreaming about going to earth for freedom was childish once she gets to see the situation there? (I have a lot of trouble following through with these bits because I'm not very brigh so I'm also hoping they will dub this into spanish soon so I can keep up with the company stuff)
anyway what an episode. my brain is mush

started watching p5t consensus seems that's it's on par with other persona sidegames so alright but not good on its own. seems like its taking the worst of p5 aping on the language of revolution while not engaging with any sort of actual rebellion. with its like middleschool understanding of the french rebellion nobles evil rebels good. shame i like grid tactics games guess it'd time to watch a playthrough and see for myself.
lavenza looks older. like in p5 she was like half joker's height. but she also looked like a child because yald was messing with her power so maybe this is closer to her true appearance.
Tumblr media
wtf. why does his chibi make him look older. his chibi looks like 45 but his full sprites make him look like he's in his 20s.
wedding ring as slave collar. huh.
...this is all an elaborate capture the flag game.
Toshiro acts like he's 45. but he's the youngest diet member so i think he's between 28-36.
Getting the impression toshiro is the main character of this game. Everything in the collective unconscious related back to him. The thing i cant figure out is how erina relates to him.
I do like how the war general is going around looking like buddha and talking like a love cult thats christianitys deal.
Been wondering the party treats the little hat dudes as normal so I've been wondering if they see them as humans and the generic sprites was for the audience or if they actually are little hat dudes and everyone is cool with that.
Hmm so erina is some version of toshiro's highschool classmate that explains why she's phantom thief age. But why was she in the first world?
Yeah this is all toshiro all the way down. Finished with the school and so far tactica hasn't really impressed me.
What is UP with makoto's characterization in this game. The others are mostly fine but for her the violence anger gag is like half her character here damn tactica writers hate makoto.
Oh eri lived thought she was dead dead for a minute. What with erina's whole deal.
And since eri isnt actually here to affect things this is all from how toshiro sees things. That means he forgot or couldn't accept what eri actually said (rude).
Huh this shadows eyes are white (inverted). Weird because in the first curscene they were yellow but every appearance afterwards has been white.
Oh i like that take for erina. Whats interesting is this is the only example i can think of where the user and persona are different genders. In most instances if the persona user is female the persona is feminine and if the user is male the persona is masculine, with a few more gender neutral persona designs in the mix.
Look im all for fighting gods but this feels a little forced.
P5T is meh. It's mid for persona side games which themselves are not as good as the main games. Tactica has fun interactions if someone already likes the p5 cast but beyond that it doesn't have much. Story is kinda weak i mean it's ok but there's also not really anything really engaging about it. I did like how it was essentially a toshiro vignette instead of trying to juggle multiple characters and stories, nice and focused.
It seems dlc is another entirely separate side story (a side story to a side story) but maingame didn't impress me with it's writing so i probably won't look into this. I kinda want to play tactica because i like tactics games but no way is this game worth $60? 70?, It's worth like 15$ maybe 20.
Hold up you telling me toshiro's persona is THE CHE GUEVARA. and they queered his gender and turned him into a woman.

3.1- Any game involving Dazai is rigged (and other complaints)
Me, looking at 6 major unfinished school assignments: haha I could do that later :)
Me, looking at chapter 3 of the BSD manga: I Must Bring Justice To The World Via Anti-Dazai Posts.
[DISCLAIMER: I use a fan translation of the manga for this, so any quotes may not be exactly the same as the official translation]
Chapter 3 is the first chapter in which the majority of Dazai’s crimes are not against Atsushi. However, he still makes sure to do a lot of asshole-ery, so there’s much to write about.
Let’s start off with a small and petty complaint before getting to the bigger issues— Dazai’s first slight offense comes in the form of mocking Kunikida’s act during the entrance exam. Of course lightheartedly roasting your friends is normal. I wouldn’t complain about that alone. Even taking into account Kunikida’s reaction (clear annoyance, not finding it funny), I wouldn’t be complaining about such a small thing. However, it’s the fact that he’s doing this in front of Atsushi— someone who’s practically a stranger to them both— that bothers me.
Possibly I’m judging by personal standards, but then again, what other standards should I judge by, if not my own? If it were me, I’d be fine with my close friends lightheartedly making fun of me, but if they try to do that when there’s a new person that I don’t know involved in the conversation, I’d be significantly less ok with it. I’m sure many, many people feel the same way. Additionally, Kunikida follows up Dazai’s teasing with “I was told to do that!!”— and he’s right- he was just following his script. A script that, need I remind you, Dazai probably played a significant part in writing.
But Dazai’s just like that. He gets people to act according to his whims, and then mocks them for actually going through with whatever form of humiliation he allotted to them. [That may be a bit dramatic, but. If the shoe fits.., y’know. It’s a commonly occurring thing for him to do, and if the first example is a bit petty, that won’t stop me from pointing it out.]
After that brief exchange, Kunikida asks Dazai to confirm his commitment to looking after Atsushi (something he promised to do in the previous chapter). Dazai ignores him in favor of getting distracted by a waitress, who he’d like to invite to join him in his quest to end his life.
Now, how many times shall I call out all his sexual harassment? Every time he asks a woman to commit double suicide with him? Since Dazai doesn’t actually go through with this, and doesn’t ask the waitress anything, I’ll let him off with only being guilty of Planned Sexual Harrassment. Maybe in some future chapter a woman will finally call the cops on him. That would be great. I would love that. That would be the funniest chapter in BSD. Just imagine it— Dazai asks some lady to commit double suicide, and the woman promptly takes out her phone and calls the police.
Dazai’s not done harassing Kunikida. Obviously not- he’s never done with that. So when Atsushi asks what everyone’s previous jobs were, Dazai insists that they turn it into a game. They’ll go around the table and he’ll get to guess everyone’s prior profession. The people sitting at this table are Tanizaki, Naomi, Kunikida, and Dazai (and Atsushi of course, but he doesn’t count since he’s the one guessing). Keep that in mind— there are only four non-Atsushis here. This will come up later.
So Atsushi starts with the obvious: Tanizaki and Naomi must both be students. They’re around his age (18), so it’s most likely they have not had a past job prior to joining the agency.
Of course this leaves Kunikida and Dazai still un-guessed. Dazai prompts Atsushi to guess Kunikida’s job next- which, by the way, is skipping over him [Dazai] in the order of the table. He does this for two reasons: one, to make sure that he gets guessed last, as a sort of dramatic non-reveal, because he likes the attention and likes coming off as mysterious. And two, to make Kunikida uncomfortable. The anime doesn’t show how adamantly against this game Kunikida is, but he truly and genuinely does not want to be playing this. When Dazai prompts Atsushi to guess Kunikida’s old job, Kunikida responds immediately with “STOP, even my former job—”
Atsushi guesses incorrectly and Dazai’s quick to reveal that he was a math teacher. Atsushi is momentarily surprised by this, but Kunikida shuts down any possible questions with “It’s in the past, I don’t want to remember it.”
Does it get any more straightforward than that? He says outright that it’s something he wants to put behind him. From his facial expression and body language he’s clearly very uncomfortable with the conversation. Any decent human being would never purposely bring up a topic that makes their friend this uncomfortable, especially not just for the fun of seeing their friend’s reaction.
And to make matters worse: let me remind you that there are only four people at this table—- two of which are obvious students (Naomi’s even wearing her uniform!), and therefore there’s nothing to guess with them. One of which is Dazai himself, who has no plans of revealing his prior job. And the last? The last is Kunikida himself. So let me make this clear:
1- There was only one (1) guessable person in the Prior Jobs Guessing Game
2- That person is Kunikida
3- Kunikida is uncomfortable talking about his past
4- Dazai is aware of this
5- Dazai suggested The Game solely for the sake of exploiting this, for his own entertainment.
And as for guessing his own past job— that was an impossible task from the start. Not because he was a mafia executive and people wouldn’t expect that from him— on the contrary, Kunikida says outright that he “already guessed that he was a type of criminal, but he said [Kunikida] was wrong”. The reason no one would guess it is because Dazai’s a liar. That’s it. He already lied about not being a criminal, which eliminates any possibility of him being a mafia executive. It’s impossible to guess because the correct answer has already been ruled incorrect by Dazai himself.
Dazai says the cash prize for the winner is 700,000 yen. Kunikida clearly won when he guessed that Dazai’s a criminal. Dazai owes Kunikida (at least) 700,000 yen. He better pay up.
The scene ends with Dazai saying “I’ll leave the bill to you”- I’m not sure if he’s talking to Atsushi or Kunikida, but given the context I’ll guess Atsushi. Regardless of who he’s really leaving the bill to, he should probably start paying for his own meals, like the mature adult he’s supposed to be (@ anyone who’s 22+ and reading this— it’s ok, you don’t have to be a mature adult. Only Dazai does. I’m holding Dazai to standards that I’m not holding you to, mainly because when I eventually turn 22 I doubt I’d want to be a mature adult. But Dazai is well aware of how to be a mature adult- after all he was a mafia executive. So he has no excuses for not doing something as basic as paying for his own food with all that mafia money he undeniably has stored away somewhere.)
In conclusion, Dazai is a terror and a menance to society.
Join me next week after finals when I’ll tell you all about how Dazai causes way more problems than he solves, and if Bungo Stray Dogs was set in a realistic world, he would have been fired a hundred times by now.

i havent even watched past the school festival arc but i have two more new villain/vigilante/SOMETHING babies. if it doesnt make sense its because hitomi especially is so up in the air rn lol
chisaki gou, a quirkless (as far as everyone knows -- im thinking he can actually fuck with people's brains. manipulation maybe, voices in their head, probably) yakuza legacy who's not all on board with this quirk love. eri remembers him, and in the oha canon eri only ends up telling midoriya and mirio after shes rescued. this haunts them for years, knowing there was another child chisaki still managed to keep his hands on. but even after investigation, gou was never found. he mostly makes use of throwing knives and a magnetic bracelet. no one's super sure what he thinks of his father, and no one knows who his mother is.
takami hitomi, (im SORRY i fell down the dabihawks rabbit hole -- i havent even seen them interact yet im just so normal about how they look together. i could not tell you when hitomi was born bc i dont even know if dabi's alive rn) who honestly is bouncing around with parentage rn lol. she went from being a shigdabi kid to a dabihawks kid. bit of a bitch, but is in more of a grey area than gou. she only really works with him because she believes the quirk dominance of the world is killing it and other people. her quirk, phoenix, allows her a pair of fire wings but shes also capable of pyrokinesis...sort of. she can manipulate the heat from anything to effectively combust it from the inside out -- you can imagine she occasionally does this to people.
EDIT: i do not know how fckin old hitomi is. this will be updated eventually.
these two are at the sorta kinda head of a lot of trouble in oha. oha suffers mostly from the very distinct hero worship of those on the billboards (deku specifically and pressure on him to 'make up for' kimiko's quirklessness). gou specifically restarted the shie hassaikai just to get the rumor mill going and throw people off his scent. hitomi, whether shes still with keigo or not, is disturbed her quirk could eventually kill her and is overall disgusted by it and with how many people that tell her she could either be a villain or tell her she could be a hero, she fell down the quirk hate pipeline ... which led her to gou.
fallen angels (the working title for the actual villain/vigilante org) wanted hitomi specifically because of her connection to the hpsc, and as a susceptible teenager...well they succeeded in convincing her. gou however took quite a bit more convincing until they really nailed into him how his quirklesness was useful to them. and then he cracked and,, well now the pair of them just run odd jobs for the angels together.
they hate each other but the angels are the only family gou's ever known. kai was the only person he ever really cared about but gou was a means to an end, especially when kai sent him away shortly before the raid. he has mixed feelings about kai, noted when he restarts the shie hassaikai but rejects his father's methods.
and yeah idk im just rambling at this point. (also in my brain hitomi's kinda hot and their banter makes me want to write lol)
gou goes by cavalier, the same way his father went by overhaul.

Character study??
ok so the post 8 just reblogged inspired me to post a short writing peice I made about a year ago that's just pink 243 and blue 312 hanging out (btw if ppl like this I'll finish the second one I started lol)
Btw this is what the characters look like(p.s apologies for bad writing I wrote this a year ago)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I woke up at 730 am on a Friday. I have a day off from work today so I planned to meet my friend pink243 at the coffe shop. I sat up from my pink bed and looked out my large window. The lights from the outer ceiling looked extra bright. I wish our planet had stars at night like other instead after 10 pm all the lights on the roofs of the eri station would go dark. I got up and fixed my long Blue hair by putting it up in clips. And gest dressed for the day. I wear a blue tank top and matching shorts, it is always warm enough you can wear things like that on eri. I Double check that I had worn my silver heart necklace. I put some shoes in before pink3 stopped me " hey are you gonna eat before you leave?"She asked "oh, no ill get some food at the coffe shop" I replied. Pink3 sighed, normally I dint see her in the mornings cause her work started earlier than mine. She is like a mom to me, the closest thing I've had, anyway. She's so cool shes a teacher at the spirit high-school of magic. As one of the oldest spirits in eri She teaches animal magic, the magic she desighned and founded, to other students at my old high school. I was kind a glad to br out of there school was rough for me, I was frieny and tried to be nice but I wasn't very pretty, and Always did my makeup all funny, I just dont wear makeup anymore. I hopped out the front door of our house gently running my hand along the railings on our porch before quickly walking to the coffee shop. When I arrived pink 243 was already there waiting for me. She was sitting at her table. Wearing a eri fashioned jumpsuit. I didn't wear clothes that fit eris fashion style much. Other planets fashion was Far less futuristic and way more comfy. I walked up to my friend and sat at the table next to her. "Hello" she said, waving shyly.i waved back " so, pink, what did you do this week, i really like your hair by the way" she blushed a little at the complement. "Thank you. I've been writing an essay on our history" she replied. Pink 243 has always been pretty blunt, it make it hard for her to find friends in school, she rarely even talked to me when She first moved to this segment of eri, now she's probably the best friend I've ever had. I smile at my awkward friend " that sounds interesting. You should show me sometimes" I smiled "mabey, but I wish I could write about familiar magic." Pinks always been facinated by familiar care. She's even told me she'd like to go into a work field of studying them. I also find them neat but not nearly as much as she does. I'm more ineterst3d in robotics and intend to go I totally feild when i get accepted into one of eris collages. "Do you mabey wanna grab some food from inside?" I asked, remembering why we cane here in the first place. "Yes, let's go" pink 243 replied. Today is gonna be a good day. I just know it.

Persona 5 Tactica revived the Persona 5 fan in me and now I'm making it everyone's problem by rambling about this original Persona story idea I made some time ago
It's just as the title of this post says: I watched a playthrough of Persona 5 Tactica and fell in love with the Persona franchise again which sort of reignited my will to think about this original Persona story idea I've been cooking for some time now.
I call this story "Persona Crossroads" (title still work in progress)
The gist of it is that after the P5 cast's journeys, the real world has been merged with the Cognitive World so many times that the barriers between the two have become fatally weakened. This becomes a problem when humanity begins wishing once more, hoping and praying that they could become the heroes of their journeys, to embark on a great adventure, and to live in a world, unlike the one they live in now. This wish ended up creating a being known as Anansi, a non-malevolent deity who decides to assign themself the role of narrator, who creates another being named Eris to be the evil to oppose humanity.
As Eris does in Greek Mythology, this Eris creates sheer c h a o s. I don't have all the details yet, but what I have so far is that the wildcard of this journey and their team go to Eris' realm with the help of all the previous persona users to fight her off and return the world to normal, except this ends up being a trap that results in the Real World and the Cognitive World to be merged into one once more and there's nothing any of them can do about it as people get attacked by shadows on the streets.
One of these people getting attacked turns out to be the current wildcard's younger sibling who- in a twist of fate, awakens to her own persona! Except it's not a mythological figure or a character from literature! It's... Raiden Ei? As in the dango-loving Electro Archon from the video game 'Genshin Impact'??? (Originally I was gonna make it Bayonetta, and then I was going to make it Venti, but Ei made more sense for her) which is kind of funny since not long ago, the wildcard's own persona evolved into the rumoured Raiden Makoto from the same game... and then they have an epiphany or something where they realise that there's no way to separate the Cognitive World and the Real World at this point in time and the only way they can pull it off is to wait for the people's wish of peace and normalcy to become strong enough to summon another god to help them separate the two worlds. So what the Wildcard does next is put their sibling into a Sleeping Beauty-esque sleep where they will awaken once the time to reach out to this new god is right.
All of that... was just backstory stuff lol. The real story doesn't take place until... like... 200 years later. In the future, being a persona user that fights shadows is basically a profession now... albeit a bit of a rare one since it's still uncommon for people to awaken to one, so instead of opening schools solely dedicated to training persona users, pre-existing schools will offer Persona Programs to newly awakened Persona users to teach them the ropes.
One such school, Kousaten High, end up being the ones to find the new wildcard's body and once they awaken (with amnesia for plot convenience), they are enrolled into the school's Persona Program where shenanigans ensue.
The funkiest part about it all is that because their story takes place in the future, all the characters' personas are characters from modern media lol
I'll probably talk about the story idea more later lol

Story Pile: My Hero Academia, Season 4
Story Pile: My Hero Academia, Season 4
Alright, now we’ve hit our stride, we’ve done most of the set-up stuff required to have stories and character information all out there. The major characters are all laid out, we have a villain on the horizon waiting to happen to people, and we just had an introduction of some new boundary characters, so it’s time to immediately do something with all of those. This is a series that has got a handle on the basic ideas of what it’s going to do, and each season can be snapped apart into a few short story arcs you can consider on their own.
There’s something to the experience of enjoying My Hero Academia, season to season. It’s got all the joy of a catchy pop song, popcorn playful and full of classic shonen anime battle feelings, but this pop song also includes a few slurs? And probably says something condescending about women. Basically, I’m enjoying it but I’m sure as hell not going to defend it.
What we get in this season is some high drama with a big battle, one of those stories that focus on the characters in the setting dicking around with the infrastructure that exists to deal with the commonality of superpowers, and then an absolute top-tier banger of a story arc about excellent nearly-zero-stakes hero bullshit.
I’m going to talk more about it and that’s going to involve spoilers, so, below the fold!
The first arc (the Shie Hassaikai arc) is a real solid rendition of something the genre does well. It’s a villain that gets attention and then the heroes who can be mustered quickly engage with it. It’s got a good personal connection to the inciting incident, with Mirio and Midoriya meeting Eri and needing to get involved. It’s got an escalation of the threat, and the enemy organisation is presented as exactly that — an organisation of people, with limited communication and means to take advantage of one another.
This was a mix of good and bad parts. There’s a bunch of questions of like ‘hey, why are you here?’ characters – like Bubble and Nighteyes – and a bunch of ‘hey, they’re here, this rules,’ – like Twice and Toga and Mirio and Ryuuki. The final villain fight even ended earlier than I thought it would, and put some real serious pathos into how it handled Mirio losing his powers. Like it’s very ‘boo hoo, I don’t get to be a superhero any more’ in a setting like that, but it’s still showing something of a serious loss of a character.
The second arc (the Remedial License Arc) continues the way this universe seems to think you don’t get to be taught things before you’re tested on them. The way Bakugo and Todoroki react to being asked to do things in a class environment makes it seem like it’s the first time they’ve heard the idea mentioned, and that either makes them poor students (and they’re not, Todoroki scores very well) or it means their class is failing them in a big, fundamental way. The idea here is great — show you can command trust and respect. I like that!
The biggest concern here is the focus on Endeavour and his inner life, because Endeavour sucks.
The third arc (the Gentle Villain Arc) is about an ancient, withered husk of a man who starts his youtube career in the silvery fragility of his eldest days, ie, in his thirties, and speaking as someone who did that, yeah, it feels really pointless. But this arc is about a single self-styled gentleman villain who wants to try and breach the UA campus because he believes that villains are the ones who change the world and heroes react to improve the world because of them — he’s charming as hell. Meanwhile, Deku wants to make sure this doesn’t become an incident because if it does then the whole school fair that’s about to happen gets shut down, and that means Eri doesn’t get to have a normal school day and candy apples and learning to smile.
The Gentle Hero arc represents two things this series has direly lacked: Something where the stakes are vitally important to our protagonists, and something where the stakes for the world are not dire. It shows a story where being a superhero means your solutions to problems get to be big, high scale things like rubberised buildings bouncing people off the walls and love-powered sandwiches of air, but the core of what they’re addressing are still things like saving one little girl’s smile. Good! Stuff!
By the way, if you’re curious, La Brava is 21, and Gentle is 32. It’s a gap but it’s also not nearly as bad as it looks considering La Brava looks like you asked a porn artist to design a lawn gnome.
The idea of having to break a hero’s spirit resulting in explaining things in combat is a good one. Fatgum explains it to Red Riot at one point, that the reason heroes talk about their powers, the reason they explain to enemies what won’t work is to cut off their options and to bring fights to a close quicker. It can demoralise an enemy, it can make sure they know what won’t work, and force them to confront what they can’t get away with. It’s good! It’s good because it also fulfills an important thing in the context of a story that’s about how and why interesting combat abilities interact, by letting you, the viewer, find out what is going on, what those combat abilities are and what they do without pulling the story to a halt and presenting an essay on combat stuff.
Oh, while we’re heaping praise for how it depicts and explains powers? Mirio’s powers are dope as shit, he doesn’t need One For All! He just needs to keep doing good! Oh wait, hang on, that didn’t work out so well. But still, the loss of his powers is the loss of something meaningful: His powers were cool, he worked hard on them, and they let him do something he wanted to do that we can look at as a fundamental good!
Twice and Toga showed up in the first arc here, and they’re still great, but not only are they great, but they did two things I really liked. One, they got super mad at Overhaul for misgendering Magne after her death, and two, the second they weren’t having fun dealing with the yakuza, they bounced. It was really nice because it plays with the idea of these characters having their own inner lives, and I think the fact we see those is why I think those two characters are amongst the best villains. We know what they think, and why they think it. We have an idea of their values, that’s cool.
Finally, and this isn’t really a thing the series is doing, just something I personally find funny, Nighteyes sucks and dies, and the last thing he learns as he dies, is that he was totally wrong about how his powers worked for his entire life. Like, how many plans and positions and projects did he dissuade people from trying because he was so sure that his power was right and there was only one way the future could work out, only to find that it turns out, nope! The future is yet unwritten and his powers didn’t work the way he thought they did.
Wait, though, hang on, it can’t just be an unalloyed good, right? Well, of course not, no as the fact I was delighting in the death of All Might’s former sidekick with a vibe of ‘eat shit and die.’ There’s a bunch of stuff in this season that builds on previous bad decisions, and the introduction of some new, equally bad decisions. Mineta is still here, for example, and he’s not changing — the closest you can claim to some kind of redemption or adjustment to the character is how he said something, just one thing in this whole season, which wasn’t revolting. It’s still a series where Bakugo, Todoroki and Midoriya are central, important characters who act on the world and who we’re meant to be invested in, and their powers all boil down to a form of punch a guy.
The story still features almost nothing for women to do on their own, even women with amazing and cool powers, because they are simply not chosen by the story to do the important things, and it’s just a coincidence that women do not have powers that can be simplified to punching a guy. There’s sexual harrassment (you do not get to put your coworkers in bondage equipment when they are explicitly asking not to) which is framed as a quirky thing for a particular ideological position and not, y’know, a crime.
This season is still fundamentally just My Hero Academia, and it’s just not going to do anything to change that.
There are still however two special things in this season that really ticked me off and I wanted to highlight them. First of all, this season spent more time focusing on Endeavour. I can’t say for sure but I’m pretty confident that this is the first time we’ve been seeing things from Endeavour’s perspective, with his inner life presented to us as a relatable position, and that’s a thing that suggests that this story thinks that this guy is a guy we should be able to empathise with. Sure, whatever, of course, this series seems to think that whatever it was he did wasn’t that bad and therefore the whole physical and emotional abuse of his wife and children is a thing that you can be redeemed from.
I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about this, particularly in that there’s a lot of effort being put into making Endeavour relatable, to make his pain and the complexity it represents important to the audience, and none of that effort is being put into, say, giving Creati or Froppy a second thing to do. It’s a demonstration of what the story thinks of as engaging, what it thinks is worth using its setting and its superheroics to highlight.
It thinks Endeavour is interesting and it thinks say, Ryuuki isn’t.
There was another special boo tomatoes tomatoes I am throwing tomatoes moment, which was the fight between Rappa Kendo and Fatgum. Fatgum is already a character hovering on the edge of being a problem right there (I mean his title is ‘the BMI hero’, come on), but I appreciated the way the story treated the goofy character as if he had some room to be a cool hero. What I wasn’t wild about was the way that his framing was that to be powerful, he had to stop being fat, and that’s rotten. Like commit to it, don’t go ‘boom, surprise, he’s actually conventionally hot when he’s being powerful!’
I was real close to liking how they handled Fatgum and then I found myself incredibly disappointed.
This isn’t a story about school or superheroes. We don’t generally see the students talking about subjects in class, listening to or discussing complex topics of morality and ethics or public responsibility. We already know that they have to learn ideas like ‘protect people’ from the exams themselves, without seemingly any education about it ahead of time.
It really is the anime version of a superhero comic; superhero comics are famously sprawling, with many different characters in many different stories having a variety of different starts and finishes that can make tuning in at any given point a challenge, My Hero Academia is a lot more linear. The end of the last season introduced you to Mirio and Nighteyes; this season features Mirio and Nighteyes. There’s not a lot of distance between plant and payoff in this series, which can mean that the story is a bit easier to handle, but it also can make it feel a bit obvious; at the end of the season, there’s a focus on Endeavour and Hawks, and I’m going to take a wild swing that those two characters are going to be focal in the next season.
You can consider this as a good thing or a bad thing: I don’t particularly like the way that it follows the simple pattern of introducing a thing, then telling a story about that thing, because it does tend towards making narratives a little predictable and does make the world feel smaller. A character is introduced, and then we immediately learn about them because there’s nothing to focus on about them until after we already know. This runs the risk of being a real deflating move if they try and do an arc about (say) traitors or hidden instigators, which I think they’re going to want to do, since there are at least two characters introduced who can impersonate other people.
On the other hand, who cares? This is a series about feeling very big and hitting things very hard, it’s not really a series about smart superheroes outwitting people or standing on principle. I wish it was, but I can wish all I want and it’ll never be the thing I wish for.
See, superhero fiction doesn’t make sense unless you force it to.

Oh and I read something about a lesbian yn in one of the asks and you also mentioned that youre not fond of atsumu but I feel like it would suit him the best after Oikawa and Oikawa has already been used so: atsumu knows that he could get anything he wants without trying whether that's a new phone or a new girl. Atsumu current new girl or plaything is ok but she's not a challenge however there's a new girl in his school by the name of yn. whenever he sees yn she rolls her eyes at him and-
Tumblr media
FINALLY DID A FIC- My writer's block is mostly poof! (Except Betray is still going slow because of stress)
As much as I hate Atsumu, I do agree this fits him perfectly LOL! Although I do have him originally pursue Reader out of fascination, I also made him fall in love with her too because I’m a sucker for that-
I love this idea btw! I’ll write for characters I love, hate, or don’t know well and just be happy to be honored enough to get a request!
My disclaimer: I’m straight so I might mess up, I’m sorry if I do!
I made Eri Miyanoshita the girl Reader likes.
Tumblr media
Title: Bait
Pairings: Atsumu x Reader; minor Eri Miyanoshita (non-yandere)
WARNINGS: Yandere themes, lesbian reader, blackmail, swearing, Atsumu is a sleazy guy but what’s new?
Summary: Is it wrong for Atsumu to use his girlfriend as bait to lure you towards him? Yeah, probably. Does he care? Not even a little.
Tumblr media
bait
/noun/
food used to entice fish or other animals as prey.
Normally, Atsumu would have thrown Miyanoshita away by now. Actually, before now. She was kinda dragging on his reputation.
“Atsumu’s been with her for almost a month now!”
“Do you think he loves her?”
“Are they in a serious relationship, then?”
The gum in Atsumu’s mouth was bland, just like his “girlfriend”, but he continued to chomp on it mindlessly as Miyanoshita blabbed on about something or other. The blonde setter paid her no mind, choosing instead to scan the gym for the girl he actually wanted to see.
The reason he’d stayed with Miyanoshita for so long was for one reason:
A pretty little thing that caught his attention and refused to let go of it was always near Miyanoshita.
Atsumu wasn’t one to pine for a girl, but this one… this one was making him double-think a lot of things. Act in strange ways. Think strange things.
Date a girl for a month for the chance to earn a little of your attention.
She’s blushing again. Atsumu blew a bubble, face betraying none of his conflicted emotions. Once upon a time, he’d thought she was blushing because of him (like most girls at the school) but, no, it was because of a different person.
Who? Miyanoshita, of course.
Yes, the reason Miya Atsumu was dating a girl was because he was trying to get the attention of a different girl. Like he was luring you in with Miyanoshita as the bait on his hook.
So far his plan wasn’t working. You were just as challenging and- hey- don’t get him wrong, Atsumu loves a challenge, but it was getting tiring watching you look at his girlfriend in the way he secretly wanted you to look at him.
The way you actually looked at him was… less than desirable. To put it lightly.
The fire in your cheeks died and the softness of your eyes sharpened to daggers when your attention was on him and, for some reason, it tugged painfully on his heart to see you look at him that way.
You were so… fascinating. As much as he wanted to believe it was the fact that you were a challenge- someone that’s interested in his girlfriend and hates him- there was something about the loving look in your eyes that caused the green-eyed monster to grow inside of him.
Atsumu was one of the most popular guys in the school- no, scratch that, he was the most popular guy. He had been since his second year, and his fame only increased into his third.
He was handsome, talented, and popular- so why were you always glaring at him like he personally insulted your mother? He never did anything to you- not that he knew of, at least. You just disliked him for no reason, other than maybe him dating your crush.
You weren’t outright aggressive, no. You waited until you thought he wasn’t looking to shoot your dirty looks and disgusted glares his way. It’s too bad for you that Atsumu’s gotten good at seeing things in his peripheral vision. If he never caught your expressions, you’d probably never have caught his attention.
But you piqued his interest. Stoked his curiosity. Invoked his fascination.
And because of that, you were doomed to be his next plaything. If he had it his way, and he would make sure he did, you’d end up his permanently.
The bubble popped, splattering Atsumu’s pouting lips with gum. His tongue gathered it up and brought the excess back into his mouth to chew. Miyanoshita looked grossed-out, but she didn’t let it stop her never-ending blabbering.
Atsumu was really getting sick of this chatterbox. It wasn’t so much that she was talking or even what she was talking about… it was her very existence that angered Atsumu.
Stupid pig won’t stop squealing. Atsumu’s teeth ground together a little in agitation. He sought you out once again, your head sharply turning away so that you wouldn’t be caught staring. Newsflash: you were so fucking obvious it would be endearing if it weren’t for the fact that your crush wasn’t him.
Atsumu let out a noncommittal grunt in response to some question his “girlfriend” asked him and leaned back against the bleachers behind him. What the hell do I do now?
Using Miyanoshita as bait was working. Sort of. Pretty little (Y/n) fish was circling around the bait, but he didn’t account for one thing. This fishie wanted to look at the bait. Not eat it.
A fisherman had to make the fish bite down on the worm and, subsequently, the hook to catch it. Obviously, this bait, although flashy and good at attracting you, wasn’t dinner-material for you. What Atsumu needed was better bait.
Suna was good with computers and all it took was some annoying to get him to help the blonde setter. Atsumu found himself privy to all of your deepest darkest secrets. You may have tried to erase your search history, but sometimes you didn’t clear cookies. And there were always secret ways to trace things.
Atsumu likes when you’re blushing, yeah, but you’re somehow still so cute when tears are streaming down your face and your pretty little voice is begging him not to tell your family, friends- hell, the entire school- what you’ve been reading in your spare time.
You still give Miyanoshita looks from time to time, but your eyes are duller and you don’t blush now. It’s not like you could watch her when your loving boyfriend Atsumu is there to make sure your eyes don’t stray.
You aren’t attracted to him at all, you don’t even like the guy! You want to just tell everyone what he found so you can get away from him… It’s been six months and he isn’t bored of you. You’d even caught him dreamily scrolling through ring options on his phone.
He’s clingy as hell- calling you at every hour, texting you constantly, and throwing a tantrum if you even think about spending time with someone other than him.
Maybe… if you tell everyone everything… it’d feel awful but at least you’d get away from this psychopath. The people who truly love you would understand.
But with the way Atsumu acts, you have this lingering feeling that, if you manage to get free, he’ll give up on using bait and just use a net instead.

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Episode 6 Review
- I can no longer be happy
- Poor Elan. I knew he wasn’t going to live to the end but he DIED in episode 6! Maybe I’ll get attached to the new one, but I won’t ever forget Elan 4. Also there’s the fact that Elan isn’t a clone, but instead a kidnapped child (probably from Earth) who’s been forcibly experimented on. Those Peil technology guys make Guel’s dad look like a saint.
- Elan was really going through it this episode. His mental break down in the Pharact was really sad. He just wanted to have his own life. He wanted his own birthday! Though at least Suletta gave him a small bit of happiness before his death. The two really had a bond, and when Suletta finds out what happened I don’t think she’ll be able to recover. Really gotta wonder how long she stayed sitting at that bench waiting for someone who would never arrive
- Also real Elan is pretty adorable as well, though I also want to punch him and shove him in a locker. I’m going to guess he’s the real leader of Peil Technologies and the witch Prospera was referring to. I can see him taking up the second arc big bad spot.
- As for Suletta. The Eri clone theory is becoming more and more real, but it got even more horrifying. Bel drops that the events of the prologue happened 21 years ago, which is weird cause Eri was 4 at the time and Suletta is 17 now. That would mean Suletta is really just an Eri clone, in fact, she’s not even the first. There are twelve GUND bits in total, Aerial, and eleven drones. Those eleven drones are probably failed Eri clones that got five nights at freddy’d into a machine. This is corroborated by Elan’s GUND vision of multiple young girls firing at him.
- Prospera now seems to be an old, bitter woman trying to get revenge for her husband’s death and her daughter’s robotification. While normally I would agree, the fact that she’s been cloning her daughter and then turning the failed ones into robots is fucked up. She probably doesn’t even see Suletta as human, just another tool to get her revenge. I also doubt she’ll treat Miorine well even though she also hates Delling.
- Now let’s talk about best boy Guel once again. Dudes reenacting one of the hit slice of life shows in the past five years, Yuru Camp. His homeless arc has started and he’s already thriving. Dude is so fucking stupid I love him. Our Earth House group is probably going to find him one day sitting in the woods like a gay cryptid and Suletta’s gonna want to take him back. At least his dad is nice(?) enough to keep paying for his tuition, though that’s probably just so he could use him again if Guel ever ends up looking promising again.
- Miorine is such a supportive wife, it’s great. She’s caught between wanting Suletta to act in benefit for the both of them, while also wanting Suletta to enjoy her school life. She’s understanding that Suletta was forced into the marriage and wants to experience things at her own pace.
- I’ve seen some people get mad that Suletta has been getting ship tease with the guys, but like, Suletta hadn’t heard of gay marriage until she arrived at the school and was suddenly engaged. Just like how Miorine doesn’t deserve to be forcibly married, neither does Suletta. If she wants to experience love on her own, then she should be allowed. And for anyone scared of being queer baited, Utena did the same exact thing and it ended fine.
- Now for the future, I’m not quite sure what will happen. Shaddiq will probably get a couple episodes to shine and Guel will join the Earth squad but other than that… *shrug*
- The final thing I want to leave off on is the theme of birthdays. Eri’s entire life was destroyed on her birthday and Elan never had one. Birthdays are something that humans created and celebrated, so to not have one makes one feel less human. Since Miorine and Suletta’s engagement will be finalized on her 17th birthday, I’m expecting Prospera to start some Red Wedding shit. It’ll probably happen either at the end of the cour or the end of this season (if we’re getting two)

I Hear a Symphony
Midoriya x fem!reader
Summary: Midoryia couldn’t tell the difference between romantic and platonic feelings. It took 4 conversations for him to realize how much you meant to him and how he had fallen completely and utterly in love with you.

Eri was spending the day with class 1-a. You, Izuku and Eri were relaxing in the living room watching Disney movies. This time Eri wanted to watch her favorite, Frozen 2. The three of you were snuggled up on the couch together; you were seated to the right of Deku and Eri was to his left. He had both of his arms wrapped around the two of you.
“Hey izuku, what time is it?” you asked.
He picked up his phone, “4:25”
“Shit, I’m studying with Yaomomo and Tsu in five minutes,” you promptly stood up and grabbed your phone. “I gotta go, see ya later guys” you waved as you jogged to the elevator.
Eri and Deku stayed in the living room watching the movie. He was really glad that Eri took a liking to you. At first when Eri started to visit the 1-a dorm she was shy and mostly stayed with Deku, and sometimes Uraraka, Tsu, and Kirishima because they were familiar to her after the overhaul mission. But after a short while she started to open up and talk to his other classmates; especially you.
“Hey deku, what is a girlfriend?” Midoriya’s eyebrows raised, “Huh? What got you thinking about that?”
“Someone in lemillion’s class said they had a girlfriend.” Oh well that made a lot more sense.
“Well um a girlfriend, a girlfriend is,” he wasn’t sure how to explain it, he’s never had a girlfriend before. He also didn't want to explain it in a way that she would be confused or misinterpret what he said. He glanced up at the tv . . . Wait, that's it!
“I know, it’s like Anna and Kristoff. So you know how they fall in love and get married at the end of the movie?” He asked.
“Yea”
“Well before they get married they’re dating, and when a girl and a boy are dating they are boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“Oh ok, I think it get it,” she responded as she smiled. “So it’s like you and y/n?”
WHAT? Where would she get that idea? One minute ago she didn't even know what a girlfriend was. Midoryia’s cheeks turned a shade of pink and his voice cracked when he spoke. “Um not really, we aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend,” He replied as he shifted his weight in his seat.
“But you always kiss her, and Anna and Kristoff kiss,” She added as she pointed to the characters on the tv screen.
“I uh, well they kiss on the lips, y/n and I kiss on the forehead and cheek, and sometimes friends kiss each other on the forehead and cheek.”
“Ooooh, ok!” She turned her attention back to the screen and leaned into him as she grabbed onto the blanket.
FEW, he was beyond thankful that she seemed to drop that topic. Although, it did stick with him; was it normal for him and you to kiss each other? It’s not like you guys made out or anything, but fairly often you guys did greet each other with a kiss on the forehead or cheek. But you guys definitely kissed in a not romantic way though. Yea definitely not in a romantic way. Yea, definitely.
“Hey deku, is y/n a princess? You call her princess a lot.” Eri questioned.
Midoryias heartbeat sped up. “No she’s not a princess.” He replied calmly even though his brain and heart were going a mile a minute. But then again what did he have to be worried about, you two were just really close friends that happen to be very affectionate and call each other cute nicknames. He called you princess, and you called him pretty boy. It was just a fun game between friends. His pulse slowed as his train of thoughts centered around you. He’s called you by that nickname for a while. He doesn’t remember when or how he started to call you princess, but he sure as hell knew why. “But she’s a princess to me,” he added.
Eri turned to him, eyes widened with excitement, “Am I like a princess?”
“Yes Eri. You are like a princess.” Eri smiled with one of the brightest smiles he had ever seen.
~
A few days later Deku was meeting with All Might in their usual teacher lounge room. Although originally they were talking about one for all, the topic of conversation shifted to you.
“And it’s not so much that her quirk itself is super cool and powerful, but it’s how she uses it. She’s always so creative and has brilliant strategies.” Deku beamed.
“You sure do talk about her a lot.” All Might chuckled. He watched as Midoryia’s bond with you grew rapidly as school went on. He also noticed that his successor would bring her up a lot and would bubble with excitement at any chance to talk about her.
“She’s amazing! She’s super nice and always looks out for others. And I love how passionate she is about the things she loves like music, she absolutely loves music. OH and she’s an amazing fighter. She does this thing when she’s fighting like she always raises her left eyebrow, never the right one because she can’t. AND she  . . .” Midoryia realized that he had been talking a lot. He pulled at the collar of his shirt. “I’m sorry, I’m rambling,”
“Don’t worry it’s ok, it’s cute listening to you talk about your girlfriend,”
What? Not this again. “Uh, y/n and I aren’t dating,” he squeaked. He coughed and cleared his throat so that hopefully his voice would go back to normal. Why was his heartbeat speeding up? He was so calm a second ago, why does it feel like his heart is about to fly out of his chest or like he’s going to pass out.
All Might could see the boy tense and his nervousness still lingering. “Oh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know,” He apologized frantically, waving his hands in surrender.
The boy seemed to calm down a bit but was still visibly tense and nervous “It’s ok, but um why would you think that?” Damn his voice was still squeaky, he cleared his throat again.
“Because the two of you are so close and during class you’re always together. Also because of the way you talk about her. Like, I don’t know you have this smile on your face that I only see when you look at her or talk about her.”
“Oh but I don’t think I treat her any differently than my other friends,” Midoryia added. He really didn't think he gave you any special attention. He was close with all of his friends and is just a super affectionate person. Whether it was hugs with Tsu or linking arms with Iida. But then again he didn’t kiss them on the forehead and cheek.
“It seems to me that she’s more than just a friend,” All Might implied. He saw the boy's face turn a dark shade of red. “Sorry, if I made you uncomfortable.”
“Huh? oh it’s ok don’t worry about it,” Midoriya stammered. He played with the fabric of his jacket sleeves. “But ya know you’re not the first person to think that we’re dating.”
“Really?” All Might tried to sound as surprised as he could.
“Yea the other day Eri asked me if y/n and I were boyfriend and girlfriend, like in the Disney movie we were watching.” Midoriya felt like he was experiencing 30 emotions all at once. He didn’t know what he was feeling or how he was supposed to feel.
The school bell rang and zoned him out of his thoughts that we’re running wild. He quickly said goodbye to All Might and ran to class. He couldn’t stop his mind from racing. Did he like you? Like in a crush type of way? He’s never liked anyone before so he isn’t sure.
Once he reached the class room he passed by your desk on the way to his.
“Hey pretty boy!” You beamed. When you saw his expression you were filled with concern. His face was red, eyes were wide and his eyes were darting all over the place but refused to land on you. “Hey are you ok? You look stressed.”
He finally placed his eyes on yours and took a deep breath. “Yea I’m good I’ve just got a lot on my mind and I’m trying to figure something out.” He stuttered.
You stood up from your seat, “ok, well if you need some help or maybe a hug, i'll always be here.” You leaned forward and pecked him on the cheek like it was normal, because it was. He couldn’t believe it, that this was his normal. The fact that the two of you casually kiss each other and so much apparently that when you do it in front of your classmates they don’t even bat an eye.
“Thanks,” he replied as he awkwardly walked over to his desk and sat down. He placed his arms on his desk and rested his head on his arms. Bakugou turned around and gazed at the kid that he’s known for most of his life. “You look like shit.”
Midoryia raised his one arm and gave a thumbs up, “Thanks Kachan, I really appreciate it,” he quipped. Bakugou grumbled and turned back to face the front of the room.
~
He was stuck. Figuratively and literally. Literally, he was stuck in his bed because he was unable to move. Figuratively, he was stuck with how he felt about you and what this means. Right after school ended he stayed in his room analyzing how he felt about you. He wasn’t 100% sure if he actually had feelings for you and at this point he’s worried that he is over thinking things. Which he probably is.
During all of his freaking out he received a text from you. Great 🙃. He unlocked his phone and opened your text.
Princess: hey, this song reminded me of you
He opened the song, I Hear a Symphony by Cody Fry. He’d never heard it before but he always loved your music recommendations. He pressed play and listened to the lyrics.
I used to hear a simple song
That was until you came along
Now in its place is something new
I hear it when I think of you
Huh, so now that he is in her life he changed her, but in a good way (or at least he’s hopping). He loved the melody and the way the song started off with piano. It was very calming to him.
As the song went on he continued to listen to the lyrics carefully. There weren’t that many lyrics so he was relaxing listening to the beautiful build up to the chorus. He felt like he was entering a fantasy listening to this song. It was graceful and peaceful, but also powerful and full of emotion.
I used to hear a simple song
That was until you came along
You took my broken melody
And now I have a symphony
He was frozen as the song finished. That remind you of him? He knew that you always pay attention to the lyrics and the meanings of songs, so this wasn’t just any old song. Did he really make that much of an impact on you? Listening to this song knowing that you thought of him made his heart ache. His stomachs filled with butterflies and his pulse slowed down from its former fast tempo.
Not long after, Uraraka and Todoroki stopped by his room. “Hey deku. Can we come in? I’m with todoroki.” Uraraka chimed.
He got up from his bed and fixed his hair after lying down for the past hour. He opened the door with a genuine smile, “Hey guys! Yea sure come in, what’s up?”
Uraraka sat down in his desk chair, “We wanted to check up on you to make sure you were ok. You were really quiet in class today and you’ve stayed up here all afternoon.” He really appreciated his friends and how much they cared about him.
“Yeah, I’m ok. I was just kinda um freaking out about something earlier and had to think things through. But now I’m not freaking out anymore, well maybe, it's just a lot to process.” Midoryia rambled.
“What's the problem?” Todoroki asked.
Midoryia scratched the back of his neck. “Umm can you guys promise not to tell anybody?”
“Of course”
“Promise”
Midoryia anxiously placed his hands in his pockets. He needed someone’s advice. “I think I might have feelings for y/n.” He babbled.
The two friends in his room had very little reactions, if any at all. This’d made no sense, he just confessed that he might have romantic feelings for their friend and they don’t react?
Todoroki was the first to speak, “I thought you knew that.”
“Todoroki!” Uraraka chimed in a scolding tone.
“What? What do you mean? I just figured this out today!” Midoryia stammered. He was beyond confused. “So wait a second, you guys knew that I like her and didn't say anything?”
“Not to be as blunt as Todoroki but, we thought you knew you liked her. It was kind of obvious. You guys practically act like a couple already.” Uraraka answered.
“Do you mean like the nicknames, and kissing?”
“It’s not just that, you guys always slip in physical contact when you’re together, you both are very flirty from time to time, and any chance you get you start rambling about how great she is.” She replied. Well then that makes sense why he was going on a whole tangent about her with All Might earlier.
Uraraka’s features softened, “You really didn’t know?” Midoryia grabbed a fistful of his curls in frustration. “NO! I didn’t, not at all! I thought that was all normal friends stuff ya know!” He explained anxiously.
“We’re friends and you’ve never kissed me,” Shoto added. Uraraka giggled in response.
Midoriya sat down on his bed and played with the material of his hoodie. “So what do I do now?” He asked.
Uraraka walked over to his bed and sat down beside him. “I’m not sure, but if you really like her, then I think you should tell her. I know this is all new to you so don’t freak out about confessing right now. But I’d say give it some thought.”
Midoriya sighed and gazed at the floor. He had so much to process right now. “Thanks you guys,” he said.
~
It had been about a week since Deku had his mind blowing chat with his two friends. He was lying on the couch in the common area. But it was completely empty because it was 1:30 in the morning. At first he stayed up late studying, but then around an hour ago he tried to go to bed but could only stare up at the ceiling.
He figured maybe he needed a drink or snack or SOMETHING. He grabbed his blanket and wrapped it around his body. He knew it was going to be cold downstairs since it was snowing outside and the heater turned down at his hour. He made his way downstairs, but when the elevator opened he was too tired to head to the kitchen and make tea so instead he just plopped down on the couch.
He stayed there for a little while thinking about you. His thoughts recently always traveled back to you. Ever since people kept asking if you guys were dating, he hasn’t stopped thinking about doing romantic things with you. He smiled at the idea of holding hands with you and rubbing your hand with his thumb. Or cuddling with you in one of your dorms and saying sweet nothings in your ear. Or going on cute dates with you, like ice skating in the park. Or putting his hand on the small of your back and pulling you into a kiss.
Midoriya was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the elevator open. He couldn’t see who it was from his view on the couch. The steps grew louder and stopped when they reached the lounge area. “Why the hell are you down here?” He heard from a deep voice.
He sat up and looked over at Katsuki. He was rubbing his eyes and his voice was groggy, he must have just worked up. “You’re down here too ya know,” Midoriya replied.
“Tch, yea but I just woke up, you probably haven’t slept at all have you? Ya damn insomniac.”
“I’m not in the mood Kachan.”
Bakugou grew suspicious of Midoriya’s response and tone. Usually he would respond with a snarky reply or a rambly explanation. He also sounded physically and mentally exhausted. Bakugou walked closer to the boy wrapped in a blanket and poked him. “What’s wrong with you?” He asked in a calmer but still rough tone.
The green haired boy shrugged his shoulders in response. “Nothing.”
“Yea sure, you’re alone in the dark in the middle of the night, and I can tell something’s bothering you.” Bakugou poked him again, “Now talk.”
Midoriya sighed, “I told you it’s nothing.”
Bakugou shoved his hands in his pockets,
“Fine don’t tell me.” He started to walk in the direction of the kitchen; But he stopped in his tracks after what he heard next.
“I’m in love with y/n,” Midoriya Mumbled.
Bakugou turned to face his childhood friend, “huh?” Midoriya pulled at the fabric of his blanket. “I said I’m in love with y/n. And I don’t know what to do,” he replied louder.
Bakugou made his way back to the couch. “Tch what the hell do you mean you don’t know what to do, if you like her so much then just ask her out.” Midoriya covered his face with his hands and sighed. Kachan was the last person he would expect to have this conversation with.
“I would, but I don’t want to make things awkward if she doesn’t like me back. I’m worried it will ruin our friendship,” Deku confessed.
Rolling his eyes, Bakugou sat on the couch adjacent to the one deku was sitting on. “Listen ya damn nerd, you’ve gotta be an idiot to think she doesn’t like you back. She follows you around like a damn puppy, it’s gross.” He cringed at that last statement.
“It’s not gross, it’s sweet. She cares about others a lot,” Midoriya corrected.
“She sure cares a whole lot about you for some reason.” Bakugou stood up again and slowly made his way to the kitchen to retrieve a water bottle he had been meaning to get. Midoriya was silent, Bakugou took note of this. The nerd was probably lost in his own train of thoughts at this point.
“Deku.” Midoriya turned to him, his blanket falling off of his shoulders. “Just suck it up and tell her how you feel. And don’t act like an idiot and say she won’t like you back. You may act like an idiot almost of the time but your not stupid. You know that girl would do anything for you.”
A small smile grew on Midoriya’s face. Bakugou saw and retorted, “If you tell anyone I said all that I’ll blow your ass up, got it?”
“Sure Kachan,” Deku laughed.
Midoriya couldn’t see it, but after Bakugou turned his back to him, there was a small grin on his face after hearing his “friends” normal tone again.
Not long after his chat with Kachan, Midoriya felt a lot better. He wasn’t stuck, not any more. He knew how he felt and he knew what to do.
~
You didn’t intend on staying up late. Originally you were going to watch a little Netflix, maybe go on your phone, and then go to bed around 11:30 or midnight. But then you found a new show to watch and 8 episodes later, it was 1:30 in the morning.
Around the middle of the 8th episode you heard a knock at your door. Crap. Just your luck. Every so often Aizawa would walk around the dorms if he didn’t go to sleep or woke up. He would check on the students to make sure they were asleep and in their own dorms.
About twice you and Midoriya got in trouble because one of you was in the other's dorm after curfew. Thankfully he didn’t catch you guys the other times you snuck into the other dorms.
It was actually a pretty common occurrence. Whether one of you couldn’t sleep and just wanted to talk, or if one of you woke up and needed help going back to sleep. Oh wait yea the  knock at the door.
You paused your show and didn’t move. You waited for Aizawa to say something like open the door, or go to sleep, or Midoriya go back to your own room. But, you didn’t hear anything.
There was a second knock on the door, much weaker than the first. I guess it’s not Aizawa, you thought to yourself. You slowly got out of bed and tiptoed to the door. After opening it you didn’t see anyone. Huh?
You peaked your head out and looked around the hallway. “Hey,” You whispered.  You saw Izuku slowly walking away from your room. He turned around and faced you looking frazzled. “Hi,” he replied with a small wave.
“What’s up? Can’t sleep?”
“Something like that. I didn’t think you were awake and I didn’t want to bother you.”
You opened your door wider, “Come here, get in.”
A small smile grew on his lips. He made his way into your room and sat down on your bed, you followed suit. “So what’s . .”
“I need to tell you something,” he interrupted. A small blush danced on his checks as he spoke. “Yea sure what is it?” You asked, voice filled with concern.
Midoriya was frozen, he wanted to speak but no words came out. This was a lot harder than he expected. He even went through what he was going to say beforehand in his dorm. Crap. His heart rate was picking up and his breathing quickened.
You could tell he was anxious and placed one of your hands in his. “Hey it’s ok, you can tell me anything.” You comforted him. “I’ll always be here for you.”
His features softened, “That’s what makes this so much harder,” he replied. He took a deep breath and tried to slow his rapid heart beat. He looked at the floor, too scared to look you in the eyes.
“I’m in love with you,” he confessed. He did it, he finally did it.
“You make me feel safe and happy. Your smile is  beautiful and your laughter is contagious. I’ve never met someone like you. It’s like that song you sent me last week. My life was pretty boring and a little sad, but then I met you. You turned my broken melody into a symphony y/n.”
He couldn’t see your reaction but he felt your hand tighten its grip on his.
Now you were the one that was frozen. The two of you sat there for a minute in silence. He started to get worried. “Look, I get it if you don’t like me back, just, promise it won’t mess up what we have. Your friendship means too much to me to lose it.” He muttered.
You placed your hand on his chin and pulled his head to face you. Your faces were inches apart. You made sure to not take a pause in between what you were about to say, in fear that the first statement would give him a stroke. “I don’t like you, I love you.”
He didn’t know what came over him. Maybe it was the look of joy in your eyes. Maybe it was his blood filling with adrenaline. He didn’t know. He leaned forward and pecked you on the lips. The blush on his face only grew as he watched your eyes widen and cheeks turn red.
Only a few seconds after the first kiss, you leaned forward and matched his lips with yours. This kiss was nothing like the first one. The first one was an electric spark that filled you with happiness. The second kiss was more passionate and gentle. Although, it was a bit awkward at first and it took you guys a second to figure it out. But, pretty soon you both were in sync. You placed your hands on his neck and he reciprocated by placing his hands on your waist.
It felt like the world stopped spinning and it was only you two. You’ve waited for this moment for so long, since the culture festival to be exact. A moment where you were kissing the boy that you had fallen in love with and there wasn’t a care in the world.
The two of you pulled apart gasping for air. Your head was spinning. “I’ve wanted to do that for a long time,” you sighed with a smile. Izuku giggled in response.
The two of you stayed in your room and went to sleep in each other's embrace not long after. You felt so safe in his arms, like you belonged there.
The next morning you woke up the blaring sound of your alarm. You turned around and shoved izuku’s shoulder. “Yo, pretty boy wake up,” you mumbled, voice groggy from just waking up.
Eyes still closed he wrapped his arms around your middle and pulled you towards his chest. “Nooo, I don’t wanna wake up. I stayed up super late confessing my love to the most beautiful girl in the world.” He whispered in response.
Before last night you two flirted or responded with wiry remarks like it was normal Tuesday. But now, it felt different. It wasn’t coming from your best friend, it came from a boy who had stolen your heart, and you stole his.
“I mean it. If I have to wake up you have to wake up,” You returned. He smiled and opened his eyes, “Good morning princess.”
You chucked and leaned forward to peck him on the corner of his lips before getting out of bed. “If I were you I’d head back to your room so you don’t have to sit through detention and have to explain why you were late.”
“Yeah you’re right,” he walked towards the door. “See ya later y/n.”
“See ya.”
