Dam being a Jason Grace stan in the fandom is a fucking tragedy lol. Not only do we have to deal with him being screwed over by uncle Rick, but we have to deal with the fandom hating him aswell lol, i feel like Jason Grace slander wouldnt affect me half as much if his character had gotten a happy ending. I just saw an Instagram reel about a "character's povs you skipped through'' and the comments were flooded with Jason Grace just like I'd expected lol 😭 like blud has no mercy there.

It took all my will power to not defend him under a comment that called him "homophobic", I cannot believe that comment had 4 people agreeing aswell like- did we read the same books? Did they completey skip over the coming out chapter in HOH where jason was literally the first person to tell Nico not to be ashamed of liking guys and that no one would judge him? the guy is legit one of the least problematic characters and does nothing mean, how is he even CONSIDERED in the homophobic area anyway? (he also gets slandered for being "too nice" aswell lol) so seeing him wind up in such a contradictory accusation just screams tone deaf and anti-jason bias tbh, Nico legit said he considered jason as one of his first friend/supporter (apart from his sisters) in TSATS :') its like ppl keep throwing in these false stuff bc they WANT to find a reason to hate him. (dont take this as me saying you are not allowed to hate him or something cuz that would be quite hypocritical of me, wouldnt it? i just hate that ppl make up problematic hcs of him and push them as canon, it would taint non-reader's perception of him because of false info, what if a non reader stumbled across that comment and immediately figured that jason was indeed homophobic even when he wasn't?)

Also, can we please normalize NOT judging a person for their character preferences? I like jason and i am aware that its an unpopular take, but that doesnt make me any less of a pjo fan. The fandom seems pretty aggressive when we dont follow the popular opinion. i have seen multiple ppl pretend to hate jason simply bc they WANT to fit in and "look cool", since the fandom has a tendency to use Jason as a punching bag to insult like "he's a knockoff percy" or "he thinks he's so cool but he's not". or smth, so when people do claim jason as a favourite, a huge chunk of the fandom start belittling them and go like "really? You know how a tiger will gnaw off it's own leg to escape a trap? Well, the Minis certainly got a feast out of it! After taking a small vat of acid to the face and resisting the Prototype, Poppet was strung up with the rest of the Smiling Critters and left to the mercy of the Minis. So, despite the agony and the blood loss, Poppet chewed through sleeves and sinew until they were free. They've mostly been hiding in their box ever since.

Fun Fact: Poppet's box is hooked up to the Gas Production Zone, so it functions like a stasis chamber. Whenever Poppet is inside, the lid locks, and Poppet basically goes into hibernation. It's the only reason they haven't starved, and why the box must be wound to open! Turning the crank shuts off the gas so it doesn't leak when the box is opened. There is an internal mechanism so Poppet can get out without help, but it takes a break in the gas for them to be awake enough to pull it.

rewatching bones for the first time in like 13 years and this show is so fucking strange i somehow completely forgot? like not even talking about the premise which is wild in and of itself (why is the lab in the museum when they regularly deal with things that could destroy priceless artworks? how is brennan allowed to basically be an FBI agent?) but i forgot that hodgins and angela have sex in cleopatra's bed in art storage?? booth's therapist just randomly meets him in diners and and the lab and everywhere that's not a therapists office? it turns out brennan supports safe use sites and harm reduction in a show that is coming out of the war on drugs era, but we also get scenes of booth enacting police brutality on people for minor drug offenses? booth hallucinates a character from family guy and it turns out he has a brain tumor he needs removed immediately and then he falls into a coma where he dreams about impregnating and marrying brennan? despite the fact that booth and brennan are obviously very in love with each other, instead of getting together or even having sex, brennan just asks for booth's semen so that she can have his child and justifies it because i guess booth has good genes or something truly what a wild fucking ride. did i mention brennan's sweet intern becomes an apprentice to a serial killer?

Y'know Lemres probably doesn't know why Schezo is the Dark Mage, he just know that he is one. I feel like if he did, he'd probably have a panic attack, knowing his past compared to Schezo's. He's to much of an empath to not be concerned.

Anyway, on the topic of the comic at hand. This whole comic hinges on an idea I've had for a while now, less an idea and more a question

[Does Schezo still consider himself Human?]

Not in a, Schezo thinks himself as to high and mighty to be lumped with plain humans, more of a with everything Schezo is, his abilities, his goals, his very existence, can he still consider himself human?

Schezo as a person cannot be considered normal by any means. he is a recluse, extremely socially awkward, the closest thing this series has to a cannibal, probably has enough power to destroy everything if it wasn't for a.) his moral compass and b.) how easy it is to stop him at any point, the guy's a mess.

But if there's one thing I've noticed about him, he never really antagonizes any of the monster characters in the series (please correct me if I'm wrong), unlike every other person he meets. He still gets mad at some of them, but he never actively engages against them unless they make the first move. Hell, his closes friend is literally a Siren. Honestly, disregarding his neutral stance on monsters, he seems to have a much easier time befriending anything that isn't a human than the other way around. (ie: Dongurigaeru, Tenori Zoh, Lynx, Onion Pixie)

It's not like he has a choice, for one he's was extremely antisocial even as a kid, with the exception of his family he never really made an attempt to connect to people. Secondly, because of his abilities his prime targets are always going to be mages, who will most likely be human. It's not like he can change either, he's already to used to the fact that he has to drain magic out of people, he can't just decide to stop, it takes time. Not to mention the people he is close to aren't exactly okay with change. Arle and Satan have both gone on record stating they like the status quo the way it is now. Schezo just deciding to reject being the Dark Mage is such a massive change that they might be uncomfortable with, even if it greatly benefits Schezo.

So until the day he dies, which will be when another Dark Mage is chosen. He will always be the Dark Mage he is now. A magic eating, cannibalistic mage recluse, who isolates himself from humanity and finds comfort more in the creatures surrounding him. Maybe this is just what he's meant to be.

Maybe he's just meant to be a monster.

Shinsou had a crush on you since like, young kids days and never thought you noticed him, but that was good cause maybe you thought he was a weird kid, so once he beefed up and finally got the confidence to talk to you it gets shut right tf back down when you're like "Of course i remember you!"

I don't know which part is worse............................ Shinso being so absorbed in his own supposed loser-hood in his youth that he essentially ignored you for 5-10 years while he was working out his self esteem issues ... or the fact that you not only DO remember him, berry well at that, but don't really think anything of it because you thought HE was kinda... a jerk for never being nice to you back.

(Cuz on one hand, you're so sweet, smiling at him when he approaches you, genuinely, just like you did back when you were both under ten and you'd smile at him from the other side of the park... but on the other hand, you don't hesitate to turn right back to your own friends after he barely manages to answer your "how have you been" question and you give him pity eyes like you still think he's a shy headass.

It's just... he doesn't want to fuck it up a second time and lose his momentum... but all the confidence he put into the moment deflated the second he realized you were even more beautiful and more kind than he remembered you and it got him tripping over his words)
