A 5 Star read for me | This book was PERFECTION
Erin, girly, come here and let me give you a kiss.
FINALLY, after what feels like forever I found a good wotch book. I love witches, I want to read all about witches but no book hit like this. NO. BOOK. It's such a cute and funny and cozy read for spooky season!
The little breakup at the end was unnecessary but I can look over that. I devoured that book! The writing was great, the plot made sense, the romance was amazing, the characters have my heart
Love love LOVED IT

I'm very behind in posting what I've read this year lmao
The Ex Hex was my first book of Feb and I really enjoyed it. I picked it up ages ago when I was trying to get more into romance, without really knowing anything about it, so I was a little nervous when I realised it was a second chance romance which I generally do not see the appeal of. But the way it was done felt reasonable and not too hard to believe.
I did find it a little harder to get through than I'd thought I would but I think that was more to do with me (it was the middle of summer which I hate and work had just gone back so i was exhausted), rather than any problem with the book. The minute I picked it up and started reading I had a good time.
The two leads had good chemistry and I really enjoyed their relationship, the witchy vibes were fun, and the background characters were all interesting. It was cute and I would definitely consider reading the next book in the series.

“May I kiss you? and she’d said, Now? and he’d smiled that slow smile and said, Now is preferable, but I’m open to whatever your schedule allows, and how was any woman supposed to resist that?”

finished recently:
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross - LOVED IT. Simple but excellent writing, unique plot and worldbuilding. it does need a bit more detail but im satisfied with what I got and I'm sure there's more info in the sequel, which I'm definitely tuning into. Great MC's with superb dynamic and chemistry, and well written indivual developments for both characters. Had A LOT of fun with this one.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5.0 stars
What The River Knows by Isabel Ibañez - has a very interesting and unique premise that could've easily been entertaining but instead it was stressful and predictable in a not so good way. I liked this but reading it was so exhausting. Not sure if I'll tune in to the next books.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.0 stars
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling - A much needed an deserved break from the previous book. Simple and fun, MC's were both great characters in their own right, with believable chemistry. Plot was little underwhelming and definitely needed a bit more "oopmh" is a fun way to put it (lol), but I still liked it. Not usually a fan of second chance trope in romance, but it worked really well in this one. I did hope there was a bit more depth into their relationship and how it blended in with their individual character developments, but all in all, I'm not complaining. Also, there's a talking cat. How could I not love this.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.0 stars

The Kiss Curse
Tumblr media
A 4 star read for me | Vivi, Rhys, Gwyn and Wells are great but Percival has my whole entire heart! Treats! And he calls Gwyn Mama 🥺
I loved Gwyn and her baby Witches, together they were adorable
The book was funny, it made me giggle a bunch of time
I wasn't the biggest fan of the pacing in this book. It wasn't the greatest, kinda different from the first book.
Also, I listened to this on audio and was disappointed that there is a different narrator. I really liked the narrator of the first book but eith this one I didn't like the male voices, it gave me slight cringies

Thoughts:
I really liked this novel. It was such a fun read! It has a vibe that reminds me of Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
The relationship between Vivi, Gwyn and Elaine is heartwarming and I'm always up to read about a fun family of witches.
Also, I quite liked that Rhys was a witch himself as well as his father and brothers.
The danger didn't feel as much and the climax wasn't especially nerve-racking, however I didn't mind it.
This is a light, fast and funny book.
After I finished it, I found out there would be a sequel, this time about Gwyn and Wells. Needless to say I will be reading it.
