“Surprise! Your favorite is here now!” A melodic voice rings out behind you in the courtyard, and you skeptically cross your arms in front of your chest as you turn to face him. He pouts at your serious expression, frowning down at you over the rim of his sunglasses. “Why the face?”
“Where’s the kid?”
“I asked first, but he’s fine.” He draws out the last vowel, throwing his head to the side casually. You track his lanky, carefree movements with a narrow stare that Suguru would be proud of. “I put him in one of the spare rooms for the night.”
Your eyes widen in disbelief. “And then you just left him?”
“Like I said, he’ll be fine. He’s a tough kid.” He gives you one of those heart-stuttering sly grins, but you’re too exasperated to dwell on how handsome he looked.
“He’s four, Satoru, and fatherless. You’re not doing very well with this whole ‘mentor’ thing so far.” You shake your head, turning on your heel and heading for the dorms. Satoru falls into step next to you, still attempting to flirt some affection out of you, but you’re unbreakable. “Remind me his name again?”
“Fushiguro Megumi.”
“And his dad–”
“Tried to kill me.”
“But you–”
“Killed his dad, and bought him from the Zenin clan to train here.” He finishes your sentences naturally and patiently, opening the door for you as you approach the boys’ dorms. “I put him in here,” Satoru says, guiding you through the halls to a room in the back corner of the building.
“You really put him all by himself in the back?” Your chest hurt at the idea of a little elementary school boy alone in the dank halls of the building.
“Nanami said he didn’t want to be bothered by a child all night.” Of course he did, and of course, Satoru listened.
“Neither of you know how to handle children. Where’s his sister?”
“With relatives on his mom’s side. I’ll be in contact with them at some point.” You nod, reaching for the door handle when he stops you, slender fingers wrapping around your wrist. “Whatcha doing?”
“I’m gonna talk to him, Satoru. Sorcerer or not, he’s probably terrified of being in a new place with people he doesn’t know.” A thoughtful look crosses Satoru’s face, and he reluctantly releases you.
“Fine. But be warned; he’s not the most talkative kid.” He shrugs, leaning against the dead end of the hallway to wait.
You find Megumi lying awake on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Spiky black hair falls around his face, and the blanket looks oversized for his small body. He sits up carefully when you open the door, pulling back the covers and sitting cross legged as you kneel in front of him.
“Hi, Megumi.” He’s silent, eyeing you warily with a guarded expression. You smile warmly and look at him as softly as possible. God knows how Satoru was acting with him before he came to you. You introduce yourself and watch his eyes twinkle when you mention that you’re a student at Jujutsu Tech. “I’m the same age as Satoru, that guy who brought you here.”
“He’s weird.”
You can’t help snickering, especially when you know that Satoru was probably eavesdropping from the other side of the wall. The scowl plastered across his face is probably very entertaining. “I know; he is pretty weird. But you’ll grow to like him, I promise. Are you hungry?”
“No. He bought me McDonalds.”
“I see. What’s your favorite thing at McDonalds?”
“I like chicken. He ate four burgers.” His voice stays relatively even, but the corner of his mouth quirks up when he describes the ungodly amount of Big Macs Satoru consumed.
“Yeah, he’s…like that. Well, I just wanted to check on you before you fell asleep, if you needed anything? A glass of water or something?” Megumi falls silent, eyes flicking around the room anxiously. He wrings his fingers, adjusting his seat on the bed and avoiding your gaze. He must have been nervous to be sleeping in a new place, in a bed he didn’t know and surrounded by strangers.
You redirect your attention to the open air beside you, spreading your fingers and summoning a small black portal on the floor. “I have a few things for you, if you’d like them.” Despite his hesitancy, innocent eyes peek over the edge of the bed to the void on the floor, fascinated. You reach your hand into the portal, feeling the cold air on your forearm while you rummage around for Megumi’s gifts. Your fingers find faux-fur and you pull out a stuffed gray wolf with pointy ears in a sitting position. His mouth falls open in surprise, boyish and sweet. You reach back in again a few more times, retrieving a blanket, a toothbrush, and a nightlight that cast constellations on the ceiling.
Megumi’s eyes zero in on the wolf, and you hold it out for him to take. His fingers delicately sink into the plush fur, and your heart feels a little lighter as he places it on his lap, leaning over the edge at the other goodies you’d pulled from your domain. Even if he was technically a Zenin child, to you, he was just a little boy whose curiosity got the better of him. As you continue to wordlessly hand him items, you see him visibly relax, examining the nightlight and fiddling with the corner of his blanket.
You clear your throat, keeping your voice as gentle as possible. “I know you don’t know anything about techniques yet, but if my research is semi-correct, the first shikigami you’ll be able to summon are dogs. I picked this little guy up for you to have. If you don’t like it or don’t want it, I can get you something different–”
“I like it.” His soft voice quickly cuts you off, and he hugs the toy closer to his chest as if you were going to take it from him. “I want to keep it.”
You smile at him, and he finally meets your gaze with less fear than minutes earlier. “Okay,” you nod. “I’m happy you like it.”
He’s barely able to murmur a “thank you” before the door aggressively slides open and Satoru dramatically drapes himself in the doorway. You and Megumi stare at him, unentertained by his theatrics. “Alright, kid, that’s enough chit-chat. Time for bed.”
“I am in bed.” As Megumi fires off replies, you reach over and plug in his nightlight. Little stars scatter across the ceiling in different shades of yellow and blue.
“You know what I mean. Time for you to go to sleep.”
“You just want your friend back,” Megumi states boredly and you bite back a smirk at Satoru’s reddening face. The boy looks at you, down at his wolf, and back at Satoru. “I like them better than you.”
You snort, and Satoru looks like he’s been shot, throwing a hand over his heart in agony. “Cast out by my own kin. How cruel fate is!”
“I’m not related to you.”
“That’s not the point, Megumi.”
“You said during dinner that was the whole point.”
“You’re putting words in my mouth.” Children, you think. A child arguing with a taller child.
Your hand reaches out to lightly ruffle Megumi’s hair and you rise from the floor. “Sorry, Satoru. You heard the kid– I’m his favorite.” You wink at Megumi, laying out the blanket and patting the pillow to encourage him to lie down. “Unfortunately, he’s right. It’s time for sleep. We’ll be around in the morning to get you, okay? And then maybe we can get some breakfast. How’s that sound?”
Megumi nods, curling his body around the stuffed wolf and letting you pull the covers over him. His eyes find the star-shaped projections on the ceiling and trace invisible shapes on them. Satoru’s arm naturally wraps around your shoulders as you make to exit the dorm, but before you step out, you hear Megumi’s tiny voice in the darkness.
“Goodnight.”
You can still slightly see him from the glow of the rising moon, and you smile over your shoulder. “Goodnight, Megumi.”
As Satoru walks you back to your dorm, his arm doesn’t leave its place around your body. If anything, he pulls you closer, and you let him. He’s taken his sunglasses off, allowing the light of the stars to reflect off of his hair and his vibrantly blue eyes. You always thought Satoru looked most handsome at night, and tonight was no different. Allowing yourself to consider him like you were was walking a fine line between friends and more than friends, and you weren’t sure if you were ready to cross it.
“I’m just irresistible tonight, aren’t I?” His teasing snaps you out of your love-struck daydream, grounding you back to the present. He must have caught you staring.
“You’re definitely something, Satoru.” He hums smugly, and you look at him out of the corner of your eye. “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing. Just find it cute that I rendered you without a spunky remark for the first time.”
“You’re gonna get a lot more than a spunky remark if you keep looking like that, asshole.” You poke his side and he yelps, contorting away from you like one of those car dealership inflatables. You can’t help the giggle that falls from your lips and Satoru can definitely see the heart-eyes you were giving him. For once, the mutual flirting seemed that it might actually mean something tonight. You reach your dorm, and Satoru follows you in without invitation like he’d done hundreds of times before.
“You’re really good with the kid.” His limbs stretch out as he flops onto the covers while you slip off your shoes. “How do you do it?”
You toss sleeping clothes on the bed, debating on aiming for the white-haired idiot on it. “I just pretend he’s you.”
“That’s rude. Are you calling me a toddler?”
“That’s exactly what I’m calling you, Satoru. This whole thing is a little kid taking care of a slightly smaller kid.” You stand between his legs with your hands on your hips, and he sits up to look at you. For once, he needed to look up at you, and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t like it.
“I’m not nervous, if that’s what you’re wondering.” Gojo Satoru doesn’t get nervous about anything, you know, but it was still a bold move to basically adopt a child right out of high school. Even for him.
“You’re not?” He shakes his head confidently, peering up at you with those stupidly bright blue eyes. “How?”
“Because I have you.” Your stomach does a backflip. “I never get nervous because I have you.” His hand finds its way into yours, and you bring up your free hand to caress his cheek with your thumb. You guess tonight was the night to cross the line.
“Did you just baby-trap me with a child that is neither of ours, Satoru?” Your hand cups his face, and he leans into your touch.
“Oops.” You chuckle, letting him pull you closer until he’s able to press his lips up to yours. As he stands at his full height, his hand comes to tilt your chin upward while your arms slide around his neck. You stay there for a few moments, drowning in the overwhelming presence of his body. “I think we’re gonna be great at this whole parenting thing,” he murmurs against your lips when you pull back to breathe.
“I can’t believe the way you ask to date me is with an orphan. That’s emotional manipulation.”
“I call it effective persuasion.” You shake your head at his antics, and he presses a feather-light kiss to your temple. You sigh, face falling in disappointment as you check the time.
“Alright, get out.” Your hands reluctantly press against his chest to no avail. He never turned on Infinity around you, but he was immovable on his own.
“Ouch, tired of me already?”
“That, and we’re taking Megumi to breakfast tomorrow. For all three of our sakes, you need to try to rest.”
“Scared that I’m gonna die and adopt my murderer’s kid again?”
“Don’t even joke about that. You can’t just kiss me and then die. It’s not fair,” your mumbles trail off when Satoru kisses you tenderly one last time, nudging your nose with his.
“You’re a menace.”
“I know you love it.”
“I guess I do.”

Bulls**t - Gojo Satoru
Tumblr media
gojo satoru x non-specified reader
I don’t think I used any gender specific pronouns or character descriptions, however, I have written this with female reader in mind.
Summary: Gojo Satoru is the king of making up stuff. There is one thing he keeps saying that is actually true tho.
Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru is a knowledgeable guy, especially when it comes to Jujutsu sorcery and the history of it. He is also the type of person to have many interests. He spends hours learning about his favorite topics and has an opinion about everything. When people bring up stuff he doesn't know about he listens carefully and is deeply invested in the conversation, and once he has enough free time he will read and learn everything about the subject matter so that the next time he can be an active part of the conversation. That is the sole reason why people never question all the random shit he says. You see, Gojo Satoru enjoys messing with people more than anything. Hence, he makes up random facts and stories and he is insanely talented in delivering them with such confidence that they are easy to believe.
One time in high school he managed to convince Shoko that the famous J-Pop idol from the late 90s, Ayumi Hamasaki, was his half-sister. He spent 15 minutes explaining to the young healer that before his mother met his father, she had an affair with a man from Fukuoka named Netero Hamasaki and got pregnant. According to Gojo, his mother was young and had to give up on the child, but Hamasaki-san was more than willing to raise her with his wife who was unable to have children. The special grade sorcerer also explained to his classmate that his mother and Netero were not getting along, because after Ayumi became famous they started ignoring the rest of the family and they became too full of themselves. Shoko listened to Satoru's words in awe, eating up every single word leaving his lips. Two days later, a very excited Yu Haibara approached him, begging for an autograph from Ayumi, which resulted in Gojo telling everyone the truth, resulting in a deeply annoyed and humiliated Shoko.
In another instance, he made Megumi believe that he was supposed to have a pelican Shikigami right after he got his demon dogs. He also showed the young, impressionable boy a series of goofy hand gestures and dance moves that were "supposed to summon the pelican, the most powerful shikigami of the Zenin clan's ten shadows technique". Poor Megumi spent a week going around night and day, doing the insane moves taught by the special-grade idiot who was supposed to take care of him, but the pelican never appeared. However, Gojo enjoyed the situation way too much, bursting out in uncontrollable fits of laughter every time he caught the raven-haired boy while he was trying with all his might to summon his second Shikigami. Thankfully, Principal Yaga cleared the air one time he was taking care of the child while Gojo was out on a mission, however, Megumi never asked Satoru to help him with his technique again.
During their second year, as he and Geto were bored out of their minds with the recent missions they were sent to, the two convinced the higher-ups that they encountered a special-grade curse that injected them with some kind of venom that took away their cursed technique until further notice. This scheme included Shoko as well as she was the one to forge a medical report, claiming that a few days off in Okinawa or any beachy environment would make the toxins release from their bodies faster. The young healer made sure that she was included in the trip claiming that constant medical attention was an absolute must in the current situation. They spent a total of 10 days not doing anything on Jujutsu Tech's account.
Recently, as an assistant teacher, you witnessed how Gojo Satoru tried to convince the first years to do his chores, claiming that it would make them stronger. Yuji didn't question this ridiculous statement, given his circumstances of recently learning about the mere existence of the Jujutsu World, however, Nobara and Megumi knew better, instantly protesting doing his chores. Gojo Satoru is determined as fuck tho, so he managed to spend 30 minutes trying to change the stubborn children's minds until you intervened and dismissed them from class.
"Oh, c'mon sweetheart, I was about to break them." he whined, following you to the teacher's lounge like a lost puppy.
"You shouldn't lie to teenagers like that, Gojo. Especially not Yuji, he's in a vulnerable state, and he will believe everything you say. I know you like to come up with the most unhinged stuff, but one would think that your students were the limit of your idiotic shenanigans." you chastise.
"Everyone thinks my lies are funny though!" he exclaims, his voice laced with fake hurt.
"I doubt that." you whisper, your mind drifting towards all of the instances he claimed that he liked you and wanted to take you out on a date. You knew better than to believe anything coming out of his mouth, especially when he used the tone he always uses when he tries to sell one of his elaborate stories. You had to protect yourself from falling for him or his lies after all.
"What's wrong?" he asks. He recognizes a shift in your cursed energy, it falters and he knows you well enough to able to tell that it's because you're sad.
"Nothing, leave me alone, Gojo!"
"Nu-uh, you're the love of my life, I have to know who or what made you upset so that I can blast them across the universe with Hollow Purple."
"Stop lying, Gojo!"
"You think I'm lying??? I would never lie about my feelings for you!" he exclaims, now he's offended.
"Bullshit!"
"What do you mean bullshit?! I've liked you since day one, y/n!" he steps closer to you, lifting your chin up so that he can look you in your eyes. You are surprised to notice that his blindfold is lowered to sit around his neck, his cerulean eyes on full display. The two crystalline orbs reflect nothing but honesty and you even question how he was ever able to sell any of his lies when his eyes seem to be telling the truth at all times. Of course, he's always covering them when he's about to come up with his most unhinged stories, however, now he's confessing the most important truth of his life. "Do you believe me now, sweetheart?" he asks, his voice breaking, afraid of rejection. You nod shyly, blushing as you realize how close his pretty lips are to yours.
"Can I kiss you?" he asks enthusiastically and you don't answer, you just eliminate the small distance between you two, inviting his lips into a sweet dance with yours. His arms wrap around your hips, pulling you closer, savoring the moment he's been dreaming about for years.
Gojo Satoru has many made-up stories and anecdotes to share, but none of them can compete with the story of your first kiss. That's one he'll be telling for a long time.

Hi! I love your stories. They're so creative, and I know you put a lot of thought into them! 💙 Can you make a story about dragon Gojo and his phoenix mate afab y/n who's curvy and plump. Their families force them to do an arranged marriage. Gojo was heavily against it, but one look from y/n he knew it was love at first sight. Y/n thought he would be a mean and disrespectful dragon but finds out he's so funny, charming, and kind. Fox Geto would gojo wingman, always helping to clear misunderstanding. While love is brewing through the air, conflict arises from dog Naoyo Zenin. Who wants to take y/n and make her his? She is the beautiful smart legendary Phoenix born through every life cycle.
Dragon and Phoenix
Tumblr media
Dragon Gojo x afab phoenix reader
Summary: You are the phoenix. And you were going to be the wife of the dragon of the Gojo family. Your families arranged your marriage He wanted a mate, not a forced wife. But you, you are his mate. He knew when he first saw you.
It is said that the legendary Phoenix is alive as the only one in the world. Only one in the world. When one dies, the second cycle of life begins. It rises from the ashes.
It was normal to look for a dragon mate.
And especially if it was an important family, a wife/husband was sought for the dragon who was to become a mate.
It can't be an ordinary person. It must be someone important or powerful.
Someone special.
The Gojo family has heard that a phoenix has been born. And he's the same age as their son.
It was asserted that the Phoenix was born as a woman. And Gojo's parents were delighted with it.
Because that's the kind of Phoenix that could give offspring to their son.
The perfect mate for their son.
Phoenixes are always beautiful and smart.
You found out that you are to marry a dragon.
He was very much against such a marriage. He didn't want to marry someone because his family told him to! It doesn't matter if Phoenix or not! He didn't want to be married by order!
Having a mate is different from a forced marriage!
Someone who was forced to marry him cannot be his mate. It won't be natural. And he would rather find a mate and live with that person for the rest of his life than be forced to marry a person he did not know.
That was something he didn't want. He will be tied to his marriage partner. He will never have a mate because his family won't let him bond with the person he bonded with.
For them, the most important thing was that their most powerful son, the pride of the whole family, gets a wife. Phoenix.
Even if he was so against it and could argue so much about it, he couldn't change anything anymore.
Have you heard about what your husband is supposed to be like...
Dragons are always so...
Rude and disrespectful to others. Because that's what dragons are. Because they are few and they are very powerful.
If your husband is a dragon, you don't want that...
You asked your parents to call it off because he wouldn't like you anyway.
But they told you not to like him. You are simply supposed to be his perfect wife who will bear him a child.
But you don't want to bear children for someone like that! The phoenix is to give birth to a child for the dragon? It is not normal! You can not! Your psyche tells you no! You don't agree to this!
But you couldn't refuse anyway.
Because before you knew it, it was your wedding day.
And you, beautifully dressed, arrived at their mansion on the mountain.
Beautiful trees bloomed all around. Everything looked so magical.
Everything is so delicate yet strong. Beautiful but indestructible. Something that characterizes dragons.
Beauty and strength.
People stared at you as you walked along the stone path.
You don't look like what you're supposed to look like. Phoenix must be a miracle.
And you are just you.
When you finally understood which of the men would be your husband, his eyes were fixed firmly on you. A blue crystal with a thin pupil.
The traditional wedding ceremony is a ceremony where everyone has to show something that makes them special.
You in your family were born as a phoenix. And your parents are fiery harpies. Descendants of the legendary primordial phoenix. The blood of this flows in the veins of each of you. However, you were born a phoenix.
Your hair has changed slightly to a warmer color. Your golden kimono has allowed flame-colored feathers to come out from the bottom of your back and stick out under the long back of the kimono.
It was felt that the wings on the back would be unwieldy during the wedding ceremony, as it is said that you are supposed to be smaller than your husband. And with wings on his back, it would look different than it should.
That's why your feathers from the bottom of the golden outfit matched.
You saw the young man standing next to the older one still looking at you.
His eyes became sharper. Dragon eyes.
On his neck, light blue scales delicately patterned.
From under his kimono came a white tail with the same light blue ropes.
Long tail finished decoratively. blue.
Bright dragon horns appeared on his head.
And if you had to say what you think about his appearance, you have to say that he looks very majestic.
As befits a dragon.
But most likely he is like any dragon.
Standing in the square where your wedding is about to begin, you watched your future husband as he started talking to someone.
As tall as he is. However, unlike your fiancé who is conspicuously bright in dress and natural appearance, he is otherwise. The other way round.
Blue and white dragon kimono with silver.
The other person had black hair. A black kimono with a gold belt and small trinkets. His long black hair blending into his clothes.
You saw him chuckle at something.
Was he an ordinary man?
Or maybe just a sorcerer?
Somebody important?
Would an important family let a man attend their son's wedding?
Suddenly you saw him turn around, his tail sticking out from the bottom of his back. It certainly had a hole in the fabric to have it there.
Was he a cat or a dog?
You saw black ears on his head.
And as they continued talking, you noticed that he had more tails.
But you turned away as your mother started talking to you, adjusting your hair and feathers.
When you stopped looking at them, he looked at you.
"This is my future wife?" White Hair asked looking at you from a distance.
"Yes. Do you see any more phoenixes here?" His friend laughed as he combed the fur of one of his tails.
"I didn't expect her to be like this..." he muttered softly.
"I don't see a problem with her appearance. Besides, there's still a chance you'll see a mate."
"I don't mean looks... But she's so pretty... Her feathers..."
He was looking at you intensely.
On your face.
"I didn't expect her to be like this... She smiles so sweetly... She's so nice. Not what I imagined."
"Satoru... Is it you?"
"(y/n) will be my wife and mate..."
You were standing next to your mother when suddenly you saw some people enter the property.
You moved away a bit. There is a little time left before the ceremony begins.
But you never expected a clan to enter this place in such an unflattering way.
Your fiancé disappeared from your sight and you didn't know where he went.
However, now you were focusing more on the people who came, and they weren't trying to give as much respect as they should as guests.
"Zenin."
You looked at your father who stopped king in front of you.
"Father?" You moaned softly as he lightly covered you.
Zenin Clan...
People who want to be stronger than the rest.
He stared at their ears on their heads and thin tails. They are dogs.
As the head of the clan went to greet the head of the Gojo clan, you saw one of them turn around and look at you.
His smile on his face...
Your father didn't like the Zenins very much.
Because he couldn't forget one moment when they wanted to buy his baby. To gain a wife for their son. The future head of the clan.
They didn't want an ordinary person. They wanted legendary.
The Gojo clan had no daughters, dragons. The Kamo clan also had no daughters - bats. However, bats were not legendary.
There was only one nine-tailed fox. And he was a man. Fire Harpies...
It was something they could want, and it was the only person they could accept.
However, a miracle happened. Because among the fiery harpies appeared a descendant with the blood of the phoenix. Which means the previous Phoenix has died. And you showed up.
They wanted a great phoenix.
Naoya wanted a phoenix for him.
It was something he wanted.
Your hand was suddenly caught and you were turned around.
"Hello, my Phoenix." He said as he bowed with a slight smile.
And then he smiled more and wider.
The doggy grin on his face was a little scary.
It wasn't as nice as your fiancé's smile.
"I'd like to get to know you better. If you don't mind–."
"No. My wife won't allow it."
You turned your head to see a tall, pale figure.
The his tail's tip tail curled gently around your wrists as he roughly grabbed Zenin's hands, pushing him away.
He then took your hands gently, looking at you questioningly.
"She's not your wife yet." He said with a laugh.
"But she's meant for me. She's my mate." His head snuggled against yours as his nose nuzzled your cheek, and he cuddled up to your head.
Mate?
Is he really?
You felt so warm next to him.
He held your body so gently and protectively.
"Why would I give you my mate? Someone I love?"
You felt your heart beat faster as he said that. Your heart melted at his words.
"Are you okay?" he asked in your ear.
When you looked at him, you saw his little smile. His pupils dilated as he looked at you.
And the dragon's eyes couldn't lie...
There have been so many legends that dragon eyes are sincere.
And when he looked at you now, he looked at you with love.
You felt a warm tension between the two of you.
And then you felt his tail brush your feathers and wrap around your legs.
And then your fiancé's sharp gaze as he looked at Zenin.
"Take it easy, Satoru. You don't want to spoil your wedding, do you?" said his friend, standing next to him, between him and Zenin.
His tail hooked your ankle, keeping you under your kimono.
You looked at the man who came. The one you saw.
But now you understand what he is.
Nine-Tailed Fox.
"We can take care of him after your wedding. You want to spend time with your wife."
You sent a small smile to the black haired man.
He also smiled pleasantly.
And then the dragon's arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you to his chest as he kissed your forehead.
"Let's go get married, my beloved phoenix."

Yandere Megumi tries his absolute HARDEST to keep his sweet oblivious and very beautiful mother from everyone else, but they just can't get enough of her(Slight yandere Gojo, Nanami, Itadori, Nobara)
Hi hi :))))
I'll be writing her a year younger then Nanami (27)
I'll be switching things up a bit I hope you don't mind ;-;
I'll be writing Megumi's mother as his sister instead . That protected him ever since he was young and ever since their parents died . She has barely any cursed technique but she knows how to use reversed cursed technique .
Y/n : 26 years old
Megumi : 15 years old
The rest : same in anime
---------------------------------------
Ever since you were young, you never remembered having a father figure. Toji was the closest thing to being a father figure towards you. Occasionally giving you a lollipops or buying you some candy but that was all. All you remembered was seeing your mother and Toji laying on the couch exhausted and covered in blood from working and hunting curses. No matter how long of a shower they took, the smell of death always lingered on them.
- "Y/n this is your younger brother Megumi. Say hello to him."
The first time you saw Megumi was when you were 11. Sure biologically he wasn't your brother but with how often your parents were working, he practically lived with you. How his tiny hands wrapped around yours, as Toji's wife let you hold him. He was so tiny and so fragile, those pure black eyes that seemed to hold everything in them. You were scared of hurting such a young precious thing. It was the first time you've ever saw uncle Toji smile.
That was the last too. In just a blink of an eye, mother, uncle Toji and aunty Fushiguro disappeared. You were abandoned. The realization only set in when a month came and they never came home.
"They don't want us anymore . They left us."
"Where's mom ? Where's dad ? Where's aunty?"
Leaving two defenseless children behind. One was 14 barely in highschool and another was a mere toddler. What else could you do but bite the bullet and drop your education. It was between school and Megumi. Of course you were going to pick the latter option. Picking up any jobs that were willing to hire you, working day and night to put food on the table. Some nights you would sob silently, whilst you tucked Megumi into bed petting his back trying to stop him from crying. A child trying to calm another child. The nights that were especially hard were when Megumi would sob, eyes filled with big fat tears cruely asking you
- "You're brother is getting sold to the Zenin clan."
He would wail whilst he rubbed salt into the wounds of being abandoned. All you could do was wipe his tears and tell him they were working. Was it to comfort him or was it to comfort yourself? You couldn't tell. One day, returning from work to find a tall stranger in your living room sitting opposite from Megumi. He was intimidating with how tall he was. Most of all how did he even get into your house? The first words he uttered from his mouth were
-"Would you like a glass of tea, sir ? "
It felt like the whole world had crashed on you for a moment. The Zenin clan ? Wasn't that the clan your mother and uncle Toji hated ? This man is selling him to them ? Gojou was a threat in your eyes and a threat you had to get rid off. You smiled at him gently, trying to hide your fury and mostly your fear.
-"Yes, please !"
God, did his voice annoy you. You wanted to punch him in the face seeing that stupid smug on his face. You walked calmly into the kitchen preparing a cup of tea and grabbing a bottle of cooking wine hiding it behind your back, exiting the kitchen calmly. Only one agenda on your mind. Get rid off him. Walking calmly behind the man, mustering all the strength you had, swinging the bottle of cooking wine at him.
You were dumbfounded. He had already grabbed the bottle of cooking wine out of your hands and grabbed the top of your head. Inching his face closer to yours, practically feeling his breath on yours. What just happened ? Your brain was still registering what was happening, small footsteps could be heard running towards you. Little Megumi kicking his leg.
-"That's not very smart of you, young girl . Before you do something stupid at least hear me out. The kid and I got an agreement, Megumi won't be sold and in exchange both of you will be coming with me to Jujutsu kaisen tech."
-"I promised to go with you so why are you bullying her you jerk !?!!"
-"Stop that you brat that hurts."
----------------------------------------------------------
The upcoming week you and Megumi were picked up by a fancy looking car to head to a place called Jujutsu Tech. Megumi was allowed to go to primary school till he was old enough for Jujutsu Tech. Whilst you studied and graduated becoming the official doctor there.
( Megumi , nobara and yuji are platonic yanderes )
Yandere Megumi tries his absolute HARDEST to keep his sweet oblivious and very beautiful sister from everyone else, but they just can't get enough of her
Student / Younger Gojou Satoru + Toddler Megumi
• He would always remember you as a fiesty girl . ( After all you did try to hit him with a bottle of cooking wine )
• Young Gojou Satoru would go on to treat you like his younger sister from now on.
•You once invited him over for dinner and he gladly obliged. Ever since inviting him over once he's been coming over more.
• No one has ever treated him so kindly, especially in the Jujutsu world. Seeing how naive you were letting a man that could easily kill you enter your house and greet him with a smile. That scared him a bit.
• What if the Zenin's found out about this place and decided to come for the two of you one day ?
• Megumi would get annoyed seeing him over so often and would get a bit scared that you were going to leave him after all he was just a little kid.
• Deep down Gojou enjoyes playing house with you and Megumi. He's never had someone treat him so nicely without having any intentions towards him.
•Often comes over after school to check on the two of you. Tends to overstay even when you've tell him he should leave.
•Likes annoying you and teasing you. You're younger then him so he's gonna take his chances. Probably tease you for any girly things you have.
•Shoves cash into your hands whenever he see's you hesitating to buy something. Giving you s quick wink and saying "my treat."
• Megumi would only ease on the tantrums if Gojou had given him a treat or he had just woken up from a nap.
• Would start hogging you everytime Satoru came over. Throwing his toys at him, biting him and straight up throwing temper tantrums at Satoru.
-----------------------------------
Adult Gojou + Teen Megumi
• Satoru is the most powerful sorcerer after all so he would be quite busy and you wouldn't see him as often as you used too.
• Often blows up your phone sending messages , memes, tiktoks or just simple messages saying he misses your food and etc
• But when he does come visit , he will never stop annoying you.
• Megumi gets very annoyed whenever he barges into your apartment uninvited, whilst you and him are having movie nights or sleepovers
• Always clinging around you and randomly appearing in your apartment or office with some snacks or souvenirs from wherever he went.
•It reminds him of the good old days when it was just you two and Megumi was a little brat. He won't say it but he's sentimental in that way.
• If he so happen appears, Megumi will waste no time kicking him out .
.
-"Is it so bad I want to spend time with my student and his sister?" Satoru complains dramatically, whining and annoying Megumi.
-"You're a grown man, go get yourself a girlfriend and stop bothering us."
-"Yes, now get out your weirdo !"
Megumi said clearly annoyed at the older man . His demon dogs appear beside him , baring their fangs at Satoru .
-"Fine, fine. See you next time Y/n chan~"
------------------------------------
Nanami Kento + Megumi
• Sometimes he would drop by checking on the both of you, especially if it's been a rough day for you.
• Kento has always wanted a sense of normality after what he's been through.
• And you gave him that sense of comfort. He still remembers the first day he met you. The sweet freshmen that always brought homemade sandwiches and snacks for them.
• Nanami was never one to talk much, but he could listen to you ramble for hours. You were the only person in the world that he could see himself in the future with.
• Nanami is a reliable man and ever since you've met him he's nothing but responsible. Naturally your guard is often down when you're with him.
• Feeling sick or tired ? No worries he'll take care of you. Need groceries ? He ordered them off a delivery app already. He'll find a way to spend all the time he can with you.
• Often times Nanami comes to your apartment uninvited and you wouldn't bat an eye. While if it were Gojou, you would roll your eyes at him.
• You'd both have a quiet dinner and pass out from exhaustion. Those days where you fall asleep on your couch, Nanami likes pretending he's your lover and simply carrying you to bed.
• Megumi is the most fine with Nanami. He would rather it be him then Gojou that's the one that's visiting you randomly. After all he does respect his senior quite a bit.
• He starts leaving personal items at your apartment. An extra pair of shoes, toothbrushes, some clothes clothes. Anything that tells others that she's seeing someone. When in fact you weren't.
• At first he suspected nothing thinking maybe you both were dating but it didn't seem that way. After all you were always so naive, Megumi could clearly sense Nanami's intentions.
• Megumi starts getting suspicious. Nanami was dropping him off at your house and he pulled out a key from his pocket and let himself him.
• He starts getting a big passive aggressive towards the older man. Simple things like when you're asking for help, Megumi butts in and helps you instead .
• If you guys are spending time together he tags in being the third wheel purposely making Nanami feel like an outsider.
• Of course it annoys Kento but all he could do was sigh after all Megumi is your little brother. And children don't know any better.
.
-"Nanami can you help me carry the groceries? I can't carry them all."
-"You shouldn't even be carrying them in the first place. You have me anyways why are you calling for him."
-----------------------------
The black haired boy sighs, whilst lifting all the groceries from your arms. The older male tried to help him but Megumi was determined to do it on his own. Nanami could do nothing but stare helplessly.
Nobara
• Megumi doesn't mind his friends spending time with you after all he cares about them a lot.
• You'd often bring them out for dinner or make meals for the kids to eat together. In a sense you were like their cool aunt.
• Nobara likes spending time with you a LOT. Often times asking you to get your nails and hair done together. Occasionally having girls night with you and Maki too.
• Kugisaki sees you as her older sister often times asks you to go shopping with her. Someone that she can go to for girl advice. It bothers Megumi a bit with how close Kugisaki links her arms with you.
• He starts getting mad when she starts calling you her older sister instead of calling you teacher.
• Nobara seems to notice that it bothers Megumi. So she doesn't call you sister in front of him but only when the two of you are alone
.
-"Sure ! We can go with Megumi and Yuji too. The two of them need some new training shirts."
-"Neesan, can you bring me shopping next week ? I saw a cute blue dress that would suit me."
You smiled not thinking much about it. Meanwhile Nobara could feel Megumi's gaze burning holes into her back.
-"Is Thursday fine?"
• The two kids always complain to you whenever Megumi was harsh on them during training. If Megumi gave them a cut or bruise they'd pout and whine for you to fix it.
The ginger haired girl looked a Megumi , slightly annoyed . The younger boy nodding his head. Caught up in filing some reports, you nodded your head in agreement.
-"Yup, I'm free."
• Megumi feels so betrayed whenever you scold him. The kid would be so dejected the whole day and would only cheer up if you bought him food.
---------------------------------
Yuji :
• Yuji is fond of you and he does want to spend time with you. You're like a mother to him. When he does spend time with you he'll be the bestest boy.
• Helps you with chores, massages your shoulders when they hurt, make funny jokes and make you laugh.
• Megumi doesn't like when Yuji is close to you . Yuji is fine, but Sukuna isn't and he doesn't want Sukuna near you.
• After all you have a rare curse technique to heal others. It terrified him knowing what the King of Curses would do finding out you had that technique.
• In order not to hurt Yuji's feelings and not for you two to get close, he distracts him. Asking if he wants to go eat, watch a movie or do anything together .
• He doesn't like it when you pet his head complimenting him after he helps you with something. After all isn't head pats only reserved for him?
• But deep down is the fear that you prefer Yuji over him. Itadori is a sweet boy that always thinks of others. After all who wouldn't like someone kind.
• You were someone like that as well. So it made Megumi feel a little threatened thinking you'd like Yuji more as your younger brother.
• Yuji whines a bit saying how it's unfair Nobara and Megumi get lessons from her from time to time but he only gets Gojou.
• So he finds ways to avoid you two being alone. Yuji doesn't pick it up, but Sukuna does.
• Little does he know Megumi specifically told Gojou about his worries of Sukuna finding out your technique. When it actually is more about him not wanting you to spend so much time with Itadori.
• Of course, Gojou obliged. Only assigning Yuji missions or lessons with him or Nanami.
• Sukuna doesn't talk much but a sinister smile appears on his face, every time Yuji approaches you. He appears on his cheek saying vile stuff
• The poor boy has to smack his cheek to shut him up and that's when Megumi gets wary not just of Yuji but Sukuna too.
.
-"Good morning, sensei !"
-"Good morning, Yuji."
Itadori smiling brightly as he waved to you from across the hall way. You replied to him with a smile, carrying a bag of food in your hands. Megumi beside you giving Yuji a small wave. Sharp teeth emerged from Itadori's cheek, a deep voice erupting from it.
-"Oi women , what do you have there in your hands."
• Megumi does feel grateful whenever all three of you go out together. If there were any dumbass that dared step near you the three of them would be overprotective of you immediately.
Megumi stepping in front of you immediately. Whilst Yuuji slapped his cheek apologizing for Sukuna being rude but you simply brushed it off. Not giving it a second thought, before waving off Yuji and Megumi's worries of Sukuna.

SEVENTY EIGHT YEARS AGO.
Yuuto Shio loved being praised. Whenever he’d go out to pick up some bitch off the street; he’d lure them in by using his energy. He didn’t even have to try— was just so gifted. No one could ever say no to those black eyes.
“Ah, lookin’ for a good time, baby?” Yuuto raises an eyebrow to the girl, eyeing her body up and down. She’s got the skimpiest outfit, heels that she can barely walk in— and a few dollars hanging out of her bra.
She stumbles forward, raising a finger to the man in front of her. “Only if yur’ willin’ to give it.”
He tucks his ring and pinky fingers, raising the rest up to his face. With a flick of his wrist, her skirt raised, the wind suddenly blowing from right under her. She squeals, using a hand to stop her skirt from lifting up and exposing her bare pussy.
A whore who’s only thought is to be fucked senseless in the backseat of a strangers car would soak it all up; watching the random man manipulate the natural elements around him. He was the only who could, especially all five.
Therefore, it wasn’t hard for him to knock up five women. He didn’t mean to, but he didn’t care, either. He could just leave the women after they have his kids— and continue traveling the world right after. Keeping all five women in a janky and foul establishment; waiting for them to give birth to his children.
All for him to leave after, but they didn’t know that.
As those nine months went on, Yuuto Shio realizes how much he hates the two top clans -- the Zenin and Kamo households. They started to grow bigger, gain more reputation. They were praised, they were adored for having such unique power. Energy that was inherited; and dominating the jujutsu world. All that attention for knocking up some women and birthing some powerful babies?
He could do that. Yuuto Shio wanted the power. He wanted to be a prominent figure. He wanted the praise... the attention... the money… the hierarchy. How come he’s poor and living in and out of stranger homes whenever they weren’t there— when he do exactly what the Zenin and Kamo clans can.
He’s the original bearer of five; he could easily breed and breed women, right? If he could have generations of strong men, all wielding one natural element; his family would become one of the strongest. He could topple over the Zenin clan. He could destroy the Kamo household. Then, he’d get all the praise.
That’s exactly what Yuuto Shio did. He began the journey of the Shio Clan; with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the biggest clans with the strongest men on this earth.
Tumblr media
TWO MONTHS AGO,
Moments like these are when you’re restless. Each step towards your father’s room made your stomach twist— the sound of your black pumps weren’t enough to distract you from the crippling anxiety bubbling in the pit of your stomach.
Your father — Sousuke Shio — now head of the Shio Clan, was one certain individual. Someone who feeds off power more than food, someone who’s impulsive, intimidating but most of all…. a sick and twisted individual.
Your feet stopped, tip of your shoes against the wooden door. Quickly, your dainty hands brushed the imaginary lint from your black dress, shifting from one foot to the other. Something was tugging at your dress, screaming for you to get the hell out of there. The feeling you had for this meeting…
It was horrible.
The door slid open. You didn’t have to check to tell your sweat had made an imprint on it— closing it a little too hard in pure anxiety.
A room filled with people. Your family. House helpers, chefs, a few household pets, two guards protecting each door in the room and your lovely parents. The chatter that had been going on halted, and all eyes were on you. The bearer of five.
This was something you were entirely used to. Eyes glued on you like were a black sheep in a pen full of cotton ones. Sticking out like a prodding thumb. You’d expect it from outsiders, but your own family? Give it a break, they see you everyday.
Bowing, you clasped your hands behind your back, raising back up and taking a few careful steps towards the platform that held your parents up on their respected thrones. You cleared your throat, raising your head to see the two people who had (unfortunately) conceived you.
“Father. Mother.”
“Y/N.” Your father responded, looking over to your mother. She’d stay silent, keeping her eyes stuck on you but speaking with a gentle smile, causing your nerves to settle just a little.
You adored your mother. The woman who birthed you and lived through years of torture, shielding you from all of it. You cannot express your love for this woman verbally or physically, but if you could wrap her up in a blanket full of that love, you would.
Your father huffed, “We’ve arranged a partner for you,” His head bobbed towards the guards, alerting them to allow in whoever was standing outside. “You‘ll be married in two months.”
“What?”
Before you got the chance to process the words that your father spilled, the latch of the door opened, snapping your head towards the entry. This quick? Also, how long did they have someone waiting how there?
Long legs, dressed in black slacks, entered the door first. Your eyes followed up his frame, following the hem of his pants, up to the white button down tucked below his satin belt. Typical matching suit jacket— a black tie being adjusted by his pale, slender fingers. His white hair framed his face, despite not being too long. A beautiful color contrast with his black glasses.
Yeah, you’ve got to be kidding me.
Even past the threshold, the man walked with confidence pooling from his pores. He took each step as if he’d own the place, no concern that this could be a set—up, his eyes catching yours for a split second before checking out one of your cousins beside you.
You’d be an absolute liar if you were to pretend not to know who he was— he was someone your father wouldn’t seal his lips about. Gojo Satoru, the head of the Gojo Clan. Possibly your father’s fucking idol (despite the questionable age gap).
In seconds, you coughed up a laugh, searching the rest of the room to see if anyone was onto this joke. No one cracked a smile. Not even a stifle. This was a joke, right?!
“I…” You began, pulling your eyebrows together, turning your focus back to Sousuke. “Father. I… I decided that I wouldn’t do marriage. I decided on fighting.”
“And I’m deciding you’re getting married.” He responded, almost as if he was answering something you should’ve known. Like you were stupid. “You cannot face your brother. You’re inexperienced, Y/N. He’ll kill you. We’re practically doing you a favor, here.”
“You’re not.”
The people around you gasped, stunned at the sudden tone change. Of course they’d all expect you to speak to your father with such obedience. Like a submissive dog. They wanted you to get on your knees and lick the shoes he’s traveled through the mud with clean— because you were a woman. That’s how he looked at you, and that’s how he expected everyone to.
“You… You gave me the option to choose. To fight or get married. I’m only inexperienced because I haven’t had proper training,” You look over to the guard standing by the door, the man who you’d ‘train with’ but only actually ran for an hour before he called it quits to find a box of Twinkie’s. “No offense.”
Your father began to grow visibly upset. If this was a cartoon, he’d be crimson red, steam blowing from his ears. Maybe even with a little horn, too. “You don’t get to choose anymore.”
“Does Ryou get to choose?”
Ryou — Ryou Shio — The unfortunate case of your twin brother. The other bearer of five. Rather, most people would use that term for you. The other.
The other. The sister. The woman. The second.
Considering you were a woman, you were frowned upon in your family. Unlike you, your brother has been traveling, training, learning how to use his unique power in different areas of the world. Somewhere in the dessert so he could practice air and fire, somewhere on a island to practice water, deep in the jungles to practice earth— and up on the mountains to practice space.
All the while, you’ve been here, stuck training with family members and guards who promise to “take it easy on you.” It was entirely unfair.
Your fathers hand slammed down on the gold of his throne, causing everyone in the room to jump. Everyone except for the white—haired sorcerer in the corner; who’d been leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. He had the slightest smirk on his face, watching the whole thing unfold as if it was a sitcom.
“You know why Ryou gets special treatment?” He stands from his seat, storming down the steps, b—lining straight for you. “Because Ryou doesn’t act like a spoiled—brat, and takes what’s given to him!”
He stops right in front of you, towering over your smaller frame. “You seem to forget… You may hold all of this power, but that can quickly be taken from you. Your life was spared— you could’ve easily been put down like the other bitches before you.”
“Those bitches were your children.”
The way your family hated women was absolutely grotesque. A woman being born into the family and not being killed was rare— so yes, you had gotten lucky.
To anyone else, they’d love the princess treatment. Arranged marriage, stay at home, no violence, give birth. There’s just that 19% chance you’ll grow sick from carrying a baby with such power and die before you see your child turn 30.
“I’ll marry whoever you want me to, fine. Even if this is just a power move for you, I’ll do it.” Your fists were balled, your trimmed nails digging into the skin of your palms. Aim for blood… aim for blood. “But I am going to fight. Married or not.”
Sousuke laughs, access spit landing on your face. “Fine by me. I’ve rooted for your brother, either way,” He turns around, resting his palms on his stomach. “Less work I have to do.”
As your father returned to his chair, your mother stood to her feet. She was thin and frail— having a guard help her up as she pushed to her full height. Her bony fingers gripped his hand, keeping her eyes on you.
“Dress fitting, rehearsal dinner, cake—tasting and hair & makeup trails must be attended by you. We will handle the vendors, budgeting, invites and registry. The wedding is in two months, please confirm that you both will be attending.”
Whatever she had said went in and out of your ears. You couldn’t help but focus on your mother’s health that was clearly deteriorating.
Then, the voice behind you cut your thoughts right off.
“Confirm.”
You looked over to Satoru, sending him a questionable look. Why was he agreeing to this in the first place? He hadn’t met you before, doesn’t owe you anything either… considering the rumors you’ve heard about him, he’s usually off traveling or helping children.
What the hell was he doing?
“Yeah,” You looked back at your mother. “Whatever.”

TWENTY FOUR YEARS AGO,
“Give me one big push Himari,” The nurse hisses at her hand behind squeezed, biting back the urge to pull it away — she knew she couldn’t, disrupting an important childbirth can get you mutilated.
She pushes once more, the baby slipping out of her womb, additional nurses catching the newborn carefully in her hands. After holding the infant up, she assists the baby’s butt, showing the mother her knew child.
“The other is a beautiful, baby girl.”
Himari smiles, watching the baby girl squeeze her fists. “She’s…” She clears her throat, moistening her dry mouth. “She’s not crying. She’s moving but she’s not… she’s not crying, is she okay?”
The nurse looks over to the baby, watching her blow bubbles with her spit, opening and closing her hands. She smiles, looking back to the mother.
“She’s incredibly healthy,” She stands, moving to hand Himari her other, new bundle of joy. “Some babies don’t cry, especially gifted children. How about you hold her?”
Himari makes room with her other arm, already holding her son in one, next holding her daughter in the other. They have their designated blankets wrapped around them, one blue— the other pink. Her hearts swells at the sight of her babies.
“Ryou, meet your sister—”
The door opens, revealing the father of her children at the door. He squints at the colors of their blankets, huffing out a breath. Almost as if he was annoyed.
“Himari.” Sousuke walks over, three guards following into the room behind him. “You just had to give me a useless twin, didn’t you?”
The woman shakes her head, holding her children close to her chest. Her eyes went wide, fear oozing from her pores. She’s pleading with just a look to her husband. “Sousuke, please,” She cries, looking down to her babies and then back to the man before her. “Please don’t hurt her. They’re… They’re different. Look at them!”
Sousuke looks down at the boy who’s got his tiny lips attached to the woman’s nipple, baby hands grabbing at the flesh. The girl is still blowing bubbles with her split, puckering her lips and then poking her tongue out, repeating the process in different steps.
He frowns. “She’s just asking to get tossed.”
“Sousuke!” Himari pulls her eyebrows together, bouncing the girl on her arm. She beckons her over to him, Sousuke carefully raising her up and cradling her into his arms. “Their eyes. They don’t have color. They’re black. What does that mean?”
For a moment, Sousuke feels like he’s seen a ghost. His blood pauses for a moment and his skin goes cold. “B-black?” He uses two fingers to pry the girls eye open, looking deeply for any hue. Were they just a dark brown? That means she’s an Earth wielder. It’s really easy to mix the two of them.
But they weren’t. They were pitch black.
He quickly places the newborn baby back into his wife’s arms. “Don’t…” He begins walking, pointing to the three guards before exiting. “Don’t go anywhere! Guard this room with your lives!”
Sousuke storms off, and with each step, he grows more infuriated. A baby in the Shio Clan with black eyes hasn’t been born in over seventy years, not since Yuuto Shio had been born.
Was he really about to be surpassed? This quick? The heads of clans usually shift within fifty years— he’s the first person to take the crown after Yuuto. Sousuke has only been crowned for a decade. 10 whole years— and he’s about to possibly be surpassed.
The rules are as followed: any wielder of more than one element born in the Shio clan will fight for head of the clan— not just the head of their generation. Sousuke got lucky being born with three… he’d thought he would be the only child born with just more than one.
Now he’s got a set of twins— both wielders of five elements— and one of them is a woman.
When you were four, your mom would braid your hair.
“Mommy, how come you always braid my hair?” You looked up to the sky, watching the clouds slowly drift over the night.
Himari smiles, brushing your hair down your back. “Cause you just have so much!” She laughs along with your tiny giggles. You’re seated between her legs which were guarding your smaller ones. Both sat on the grass, ignoring the possible bugs crawling on your skin, simply taking in the sound of the wind. “It also makes you look strong. Strong women always have their hair placed nicely, just in case we have to take things in our own hands.”
You nodded, feeling your mothers fingers rake through your hair, beginning to braid. Your eyes drifted to the little, pink socks on your feet that your mother had sewed. “Mommy?” You call for her.
“Am I strong?”
She pauses before finishing up the braid, pulling out small strands by your ears to finish up the hairstyle. She turns you around, facing you towards her. Leaning forward, she gives you a grin.
“The strongest.”
You smile back, reaching off the ground to wrap your arms around your mothers neck. You melt once feeling her return the gesture, the smell and feeling of your mother was something you loved. You felt safe. You felt like you could do anything.
“I get it from you, Mommy,” You smush your cheeks with hers, small hands rubbing her back. “You’re so strong too!”
Himari feels a tear slide down her cheek, quickly wiping it away before pulling you from her shoulders, holding you up in front of her. “Time for bed, ‘kay?” She leans forward to kiss your forehead. “Grab a scarf and the book we didn’t finish last night.”
Nodding, you bounced off your feet, running towards your home. You waved to one of guards, slipping between them and entering the household.
Himari finally coughs into her hand, holding back the urge while you were around. She looks at her palm, seeing the red dots splattered around. With a simple sigh, she wipes it away on her pants before standing back up, following behind you.
When you were twelve, your mother would watch you play baseball with your cousins.
You spun your bat around, legs apart, taunting the pitcher in front of you. “Harutoooo!” Now raising the bat, you stuck your tongue out at your cousin. “You’ve got nothing on me.”
You loved baseball. You loved spending time with family and doing something so normal— you liked feeling warm with other people around. It reminds you that you’re living, that you’re not alone. You’re safe.
He laughs at your antics, shaking his head towards you. “No powers, either.” Once he raises the ball, you hear a loud voice boom from the side of you, halting the game — and catching everyone’s attention.
Sousuke walks with a boy beside him, his hand rested on top of his head. “Looks who’s joining us today!” He allows the boy to jog forward, following right after him.
The boy smiles, watching everyone drop their objects and run over to him. They all crowd around him, like a celebrity who’d just gotten off a plane, asking him multiple questions and welcoming him to the game— claiming how excited they were to see him.
How boring the game was without him.
Your father takes a spot in front of you, holding his hand out for your bat. “Ryou’s gonna take it this year, okay?” He retrieves the bat from you before walking back over to his son. He takes it every year.
“Ryou! How was the Sahara Desert?”
“You’re definitely gonna be the best clan member this generation.”
“Can you show us something cool?”
“Can you make it rain right now? Or make an earthquake? How about a wildfire?”
“It must be tiring having all that power. How’s your body? You doing okay?”
You frown, watching your brother soak up all the questions. Watching him get asked everything you wanted to get asked. He steals the show, like usual. He’s so cool. You’re nothing like him— you wouldn’t be anything like him. You knew that.
You were accepting it.
You look over to your mother, hoping to see that she was free and available to take you in her room and show off her huge lipstick collection— like she does every time she purchases a new one. You needed out of here. You wanted to see her seated in her spot under the umbrella, cheering you on like she did whenever you practiced. Not only did she enjoy watching you play— and have fun, she enjoyed the outdoors.
She loved being by the water or even sitting on some grass. Simple, she loved everything simple.
Instead, she squatted down, arms open as Ryou ran into them. She squeezes him tight, tired eyes peering down at him. She had deep bags, and her hands would shake all the time. She couldn’t hold anything without sitting down. She’d always say,
“I’m okay, don’t you get all worried about me.”
She places a firm kiss onto Ryou’s head, squeezing his cheeks between her palms. She mouths a few words to him before sending him back to the field, standing up and stumbling back to her seat.
You hated baseball. You hated being around the twin who was simply superior to you— feeling small with him around. It reminds you that you’re living, that you’re not alone. You’re second.
When you were eighteen, your mother would ask you to help her to the couch.
You helped your mother, safely sitting her down on the couch. She grabs the popcorn from your hand, keeping it warm in her hands. Her dull eyes peered up at you, forcing a smile your way. “Nothing sad. No sobbing into my shirt again.”
You huff, “Okay, rude,” You laugh, turning around to squat down at the television. “This isn’t sad, I think it’s action. That’s okay?”
You began flipping through disks in a container, searching for the movie you suggested, all while the smile on your mother’s face completely dropped. She raised a hand, placing it over her chest, shutting her eyes at the chronic pain in it.
She breathes in and out, forcing the pain that was hurting her out of the body. She slows her breathing, the pain slowly fading. The ringing in her ears began to quiet down, the blur in her vision subsided, and she felt okay again. Even if it was temporary, she was okay right now.
With you.
“Mom?” You looked over you shoulder, watching your mother meet your eyes with a smile. “Sound good— the movie?”
She hadn’t heard anything you recommended, and she didn’t need to. With a small nod, you returned the smile and turned back to the television, inserting the disc. “I’m telling you, this is really good. There’s a bunch of dinosaurs, but they’re cool ones, not the old ones they show in class…”
As you continued to talk, all Himari could do was look at your braid, the one she had did last night— under the stars— like normal. You had grown up so much. Your hair was much longer than when you were younger, too.
Once the movie was in, you walked over to the couch, snuggling under your mother. You were both stretched out, covered with a nice blanket she had sewed herself, popcorn accessible for the both of you to eat.
The limited time she had healed herself with was going to worth it. Himari wraps her arms around you, snuggling her face into your neck, making you giggle.
“M..Mom! You’re gonna miss the dinosaurs!!”
When you were twenty one, your mother offered you your first drink.
“Happy birthday, h…honey.” Your mothers shaky hands lit the two candles on your cake, slowly pushing it towards you.
You smile, looking up to your mom. Her hair began to break off, collarbones apparent, along with the bones on her fingers. She’s got the million dollar smile, though. That smile you loved seeing from her.
“Save your energy, mom,” You chuckle, reaching forward to blow out your candles. “Thank you.”
Although your mother was the only one who had ever wished you a happy birthday— who had ever given you a present or even a cake, you enjoyed it. It was like it was a tradition for you both. You looked forward to it every year.
Your mother sets a small glass in front of you, pulling another bottle from behind her back. It’s a dark liquid filled to the brim of a glass bottle— a very fancy glass at that. You’ve seen it before, seeing your father pour himself a glass whenever you both had finished bickering, or after having to visit a doctors appointment with your mother.
She tugs the top off, “Gotta drink the… the whole thing, okay? If you sip it… you’ll hate it.” It took her a little longer to speak now, having a full conversation with her was a little challenging, but she always made it work.
She could answer with a smile.
You nodded, watching her tip the bottle over and fill up the shot glass. Though, she never stopped pouring. It began to overflow, and after a few seconds, everything drops. Glass shatters and there’s a thud— and soon, your mother was on the ground.
“Mom?!” You dropped to your knees, ignoring the glass that had now stabbed you. You shook her body, attempting to wake her up, but it all failed.
“Mom!”
When you were twenty four, your mother asked the strongest jujutsu sorcerer to marry her daughter.
She orders the guard to drop the duffel bag onto the table, sliding over the bag of cash towards the sorcerer with her shoe.
Himari crosses her arms over her chest. “That’s 20 million yen, including extra protection for your students — and if you decide to have children, your kids will be the most powerful. You’ll get brownie points for that, too.”
Gojo sat up straight, legs crossed over one another, watching the entire situation unfold. He’s had multiple cases where mothers suggested their daughter for marriage, women have proposed to him— hell, he’s slept with a few mothers in his own lifetime. But never this. This was new. It was exciting.
He raises an eyebrow, eyes never dropping to the money. He wouldn’t say it, but he doesn’t need that. He spends the amount of money in that bag in two days, regularly — and that’s just that’s on absolutely nothing. Maybe some rare collectibles he’ll buy just for the fun of it.
Though, if she’s a woman from the Shio Clan— that has to be just her money. Gojo’s heard about the clan, he’s even heard about the men— had conversations with them before. He could figure out in seconds that this was off the job— completely behind the heads back. This must be serious.
This was risky… so why was she doing it?
“You want me to marry your daughter for pocket change and something I already give my students?” He leaned forward, uncrossing his legs to balance on his knees. “Thank you for the offer, I’m sure she’s a lovely—”
“She’ll die.” Himari keeps her hand on her stomach. Her words stopped Gojo from pushing off the seat to leave, stilling him in his position.
“She’s a twin. She holds all five elements, the first in the clan to do it since Yuuto,” She begins to cough softly, applying more pressure to her stomach. “Y/N wants to fight her brother. She holds a resentment towards him, so she’s not giving up on fighting him.”
“She doesn’t even have protection. She hasn’t fought a thing— she can’t even kill a spider without setting it on fire. She has no control… Even then, there will be no one.. no one in her corner after I die.”
Gojo pulled his eyebrows together. “Die?”
“The affect of birthing one Shio is already dangerous on the body… I just got lucky with having two.”
Obviously, Gojo feels bad. He feels remorseful for the entire situation. But marriage isn’t something you can just throw into the equation for a few weeks and then take it out. It’s like adding eggs to brownie mix, and someone tells you they’re allergic to eggs. You can’t take it out now, it’s been fucking mixed in! Marriage is serious— especially when it comes to merging two clans.
Himari clears her throat, looking down to her lap. Gojo’s eyes are rested on her, watching her push more and more pressure on her stomach— though he was curious about something.
“Why’d you pick me?”
She looks up to Gojo, studying his features for a quick second. He was either asking to get his large, ego fed, or he was asking out of general curiosity. There was no need to dissect, though. His answer probably won’t change.
“I read about what you’re doing for that boy, Yuta,” Himari smiles, looking back down at the material of her dress. “You’re fighting for that little boy. You’re not making it easy for him, either. It’s authentic, and I… I think you enjoy helping people. If I’m wrong, I’ll find myself out.”
He hums. Gojo’s banking on a lot here. He’s used to making reckless situations, having to choose between this or that— who’s life is at stake. He’s just not sure why this one decision is kicking him in the head.. he’s having a hard time deciding if this is a good idea or not.
Is there too much at stake, or is he afraid of being responsible for another mistake?
“If I agree, I don’t want your money, don’t need your protection…” He leans forward, close enough to whisper these words to her face.
“I need…”

but what reaction would the zenins have , especially naoaki 😳🤯 with the babies
Hi!!! I'm going with the twin girls au :> although these can be in general 🤔
Off we go to the reactions from the rest of the estate.
Being real, I think most of the clan would not like the fact that the heir had two girls to begin with. However, since Naoya and Y/N are known for being strong sorcerers by themselves, it was only natural that their kids would inherit those talents.
However, they'd still find a way to make them feel less, either by giving backhanded compliments, or voicing how a "son" would've been much better.
Naoya would immediately shut down those comments. We're talking about a man that has now learned how wrong his family is (in more ways than one) and having suffered from similar comments in the past, understands all too well how hurtful they could be, so he tries to shield his children the best he can.
As for reactions, let me put it like this:
Mai and Maki would love your kids, cause they love you very much :> there's no denying that. Would play with them as often as possible, they're like (are) the cool aunts. SPECIALLY if they're girl twins like them, it's probably the first time they ever felt happy with being twins I reckon.
Junko, Mai and Maki's mom, would keep her distance. It's not like she dislikes the kids, she just feels uncomfortable—however, she would like to watch the babies from time to time, silently gush at how adorable they are and remind her of when her daughters were babies too.
Ogi couldn't care less—in fact, I think he'd hate them just because they're a reminder of what he could've had, but didn't. No one allows him to get close to the kids, not even his wife.
Jinichi is in complete awe that Naoya would want to have kids in the first place, but not surprised that he went through with it. He's very precise when it comes those things, and from there he'll just stare at him and you whenever interacting with the kids—idk, he still doesn't believe it's happening. I guess in my mind he never considered that his family would want to have kids (Toji is like the prime example of that)
Naobito is... idk. He never really cared about having kids, so anything about lineage and whatnot is irrelevant to him, but I guess that in the deep confines of his mind he likes the fact of having grandchildren. Specially if they're strong, he'd be very proud of them, show off that they're related to him and whatnot. Do not expect him to be involved, and honestly? You and Naoya are kind of happy he isn't.
As for Naoaki, Naoya's oldest brother... he'd be shocked that the two eventually made amends, enough to have a family together. He just never thought the two were each other's type, or that it was in Naoya's plans to become a father. But it happened, and he just keeps his distance as well. Maybe he hoped he'd be that man, the one to have your kids or something, who knows. Either way, in the short moments he'll be able to see the kid, he'll note that they look like you, as maybe even hope that they act like you too. This whole situation is 100% the reason he stops talking to you all together. It's the official closure of that chapter.
And I don't think I'm missing any other relevant character :> I'd say that most of Naoya's brother would be somewhat confused that Naoya is possible of having adorable children or something hahaha although everyone thinks it's thanks to your genes 😂
Thank you so much for indulging me with this ask!! I want more baby stuff :') I'll see what I can write.
Have a wonderful week, take care, and hope to see you soon!!

Incest, obedience, and the big three clans in Jujutsu Kaisen
In the chapters when Naoya first appears he's chatting with Maki and Mai's mother about them; he is reviewing Mai and Maki for marriage (his first cousins) because of the level of traditionalism/purity the Zenins uphold. For the Zenins "inbreeding is a way to preserve the bloodline and inherited techniques. they also believe that it increases the chance of having a child gain the rare inherited techniques." @tempenensis
Tumblr media
We can also see this being upheld by looking at the family tree and seeing that Naobito married his niece. It can also be suspected that Toji’s first wife (Megumi’s mother) was also related to the Zenin family in some way due to the stark resemblance between her and the other Zenins. His first wife was not the one with the Fushiguro last name, it was Tsumiki’s mother who had the last name
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Megumi's mother resembles all of the other Zenin members and if she was introduced to the series as a character that wasn't Megumi's mother she would easily be able to pass as a Zenin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know by now and have seen that inbreeding does not guarantee powerful heirs (Maki easily kills the remaining Zenin clan). We also see characters like Gojo, Yuta, Geto, etc. who are not the result of inbreeding being more powerful than them. Now you would think why would the Zenins not marry off someone powerful from the other big three clans like the Gojo or Kamo family to increase the odds of a child getting a rare technique from either side especially after learning about why inbreeding is bad? To put it simply they make terrible choices and one of the only good choices that the Zenins have made is Naobito making Megumi head of the clan. Not to mention they believe the Zenins are superior than other sorcerers and say " if you're not a Zenin you're not a jujutsu sorcerer. If you're not a sorcerer you're not a person"
Tumblr media
There are also the weird "first loves" in the series being the other characters' siblings or family members (notice how it's Zenin members that do this)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not to mention the weird relationship between the father and daughter we saw in chapter 96
Tumblr media
And Mei Mei being fully naked in bed with Ui Ui (ch 133)
Tumblr media
All of Kenjaku's relationships are also questionable
Tumblr media
More weird incest themes
Tumblr media
Anyways you may be wondering why I made a post on this topic of all things. I just wanted to show that Gege has no issue showing how fucked up the sorcerer world is, especially the big three families. The clans are basically like nobility and practice incest to keep the bloodlines pure. The Zenin clan is the biggest example of this. They are purists, traditionalists, and misogynists. Their values are hierarchy, techniques/cursed energy, and obedience. This environment explains why Naoya grew up the way he did and why he has the beliefs that he does.
The first son of the family is expected to lead the family (not a woman because of the misogyny). When Toji was born he had expectations from the start of being the first son. He was supposed to have one of the rare techniques and cursed energy but he didn't. He was punished for this by being thrown in the pit and abused by them. Once he started to disobey them he was disowned. However, when he showed how powerful he really was they still didn't respect him. Naoya and Ranta were the few Zenin members who had genuine respect for Toji, the others feared him because they knew he could easily take them all down if he wanted to but they still did not respect him. When he passed they most likely downplayed how strong he was because they still didn't respect him.
When Maki started to become like Toji the fear returns but once again they don't respect her. The mistreatment of Toji by the clan could explain why he became the way he did. He was faced with years of abuse and when he got to be "the strongest" he let loose possibly as a way of retaliation to the clan. No one could stop him and he could finally do what he wanted (seen with a lot of strict upbringing and obedience). All the children in the Zenin clan are viewed as worthless and treated like trash unless they have a technique/cursed energy and are expected to serve their parents/other clan members and not get in the way or they will be disowned.
It is not just the Zenin clan that does this though. The Kamo clan casts out Noritoshi's mother because she was his father's mistress (and not pure blood) and Nori is essentially an illegitimate child. However, Nori gained the clan's technique and was made heir and the next head of the clan just like Megumi was even though they were illegitimate heirs (Megumi because Toji was disowned). This shows how much the clan values technique and how they view hierarchy and have exceptions. While we do not know much about the Gojo clan, it is not farfetched to believe they also follow these practices.
Sorcerers are not good people, they don't follow the same rules as everyone else with barely any consequences. They do weird and gross things but to them that is normal. Gege manages to show this without being over the top or edgy
edit:  I accidentally used the wrong family tree and mistook Toji as being the oldest child and Naobito being Maki and Mai's father, but other than that everything is accurate and still stands

sukuna's vessel — i
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gojo satoru x fem!reader
🛑 nsfw themes. mdni. violence, heavy gore description, etc.
series chapters; part two. ✦ part three. ✦ part four. ✦ part five. ✦ part six...
summary: you are a special case. just like itadori yuuji, you also swallowed a piece of sukuna's finger to save yourself from a dire situation, but to compare both you and yuuji, sukuna's consciousness does not resonate within you but the powers you possess from the king of curses. however, your mysterious cursed energy and your ability to fight certainly brought you to a new chapter in your life—or rather, a novel...
Tumblr media
the memory itself was old, but you could remember it as though it had happened only a few moments ago.
the incident occurred a few months ago. well, almost a year, to be exact...
just like the zenin clan, your family was rather well known. the bloodline was known to possess the greatest of sorcerers for hundreds of years, especially in the medical field and in the martial arts. however, you were the first person to change the history of your family permanently... alternating the route of your bloodline to a potential downfall.
your family, for whatever reason, had heavily worshiped a false "god"—where they believed sukuna ryōmen was their savior and the one to rewrite earth, extinguishing humans and claimed it as judgement day. your family was indeed a cult, and you were unfortunate to be born in it.
you were the first born child, and the oldest child. although you had two younger siblings siblings, you were treated with a lot more respect from your parents than they did. they gave you high expectations but you met them, but your siblings were, well, neglected.
in truth, your siblings weren't as successful as you were. for whatever reason, they were unable to successfully manipulate cursed energy into weapons or even use the basics of it in battle. you could do all of this.
...but unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and the truth eventually reveals itself; you were a successful vessel chosen out of all three. each generation was required to have at least three children, and among the three, one of them would become the sacrificial lamb to ryōmen sukuna as an offering. and you were chosen.
but you weren't killed like the rest—your parents had another plan, compared to their late parents.
they had obtained the finger of ryōmen sukuna.
after revealing the truth and feeding onto your trauma, they had you bound to a chair, tied up. there were candles in the room, and you could barely see anything, but you could see the bodies of your younger siblings when they had tortured and killed them in front of you. you were exhausted, mentally, and you had lost all will to move... but you couldn't give up. not here, not yet.
your siblings' last wish for you was to proper, no matter what. and you would make sure your family's dying wish would come true.
"you will eat this, y/n." you hear your father say, presenting the finger of sukuna settled upon a silver platter, "and your cursed energy will be greater."
you remember eyeing that disgusting piece of flesh. you weren't disgusted or grossed out. you looked at it blankly, as your eyes have already seen the horrors of your siblings' death. a single finger did not faze you in the slightest.
"..." whether or not you would oblige to his demand, he approached you with a wicked smile. "finally, finally! we have finally reached to a successful point where we can finally reincarnate sukuna into the very flesh and blood of our beloved daughter." you hear your mother laugh as she jumped with joy, clapping her hands together with an insane smile on her face.
cursed energy will be greater, huh? reincarnate, become the vessel of the king of all curses, huh? you eyed at the physical manifestation of a curse, silent, still.
that was when your father had shoved the entire finger into your mouth, forcing you to swallow it. you remember hearing laughter, and eventually... something twisting your heart and stomach.
it wasn't long until you processed the merge of sukuna forcing himself into your flesh and blood, feeling his blood and his soul possessing every fiber of your being. you felt your strength increase tremendously, as well as your speed, your cursed energy... etc. everything about you that was once you was gone.
you bore the tattoos of sukuna amongst your body, but only a few, considering sukuna did not truly manifest upon your body, you had only gained his powers. you were silent, your head hanging low as your father and mother had laughed simultaneously as they watched your cursed energy form with sukuna's...
... then the ropes that held you in place had suddenly been cut off. you remember not even moving your arms, but you had cut your father's head off. you remember hearing your mother scream with fear, claiming that they had accidentally angered the god, claiming that they were not providing enough offerings. but in reality it was you. you were furious. you were fuming with rage. you were going to avenge your siblings and live by their final wishes.
your mother was eventually killed, too. lopping off her arms at first to torture her, then her head to provide a cruel death. covered in their flesh and blood, you looked your hands... silent.
you were unable to think, as you felt empty the entire time. revenge was... revenge. but why couldn't you feel anything? you haven't processed everything that has happened yet, so... you were simply here. taking it all slowly.
until an unwanted guest made himself known, entering the room you were in.
your eyes shift towards the stranger, finding a tall, broad-shaped man with sunglasses. there was a giant, stuffed toy walking next to him, waddling as it observed the scenery right with him as well.
that was the day you met principal yaga.
...and now here you were, stuck in jujutsu high as one of the "counselors"...or that's what you were assigned as on the surface, really. you stayed with jujutsu high not knowing where to go, but in truth, the higher ups of the association was intrigued to find another person to swallow sukuna as well but not actually manifest his consciousness. you had already met yuuji and sukuna, who practically vowed to own your feminine body with the intention of ill intent.
you were supposed to deliver some paperwork to satoru today, but because of your annoyance with him, you decided to avoid him today. you sat within your office, your eyes glued to your phone as you read the latest news line... a huge accident that killed hundreds. but you knew it was due to a curse, and not something natural.
leaning back against your seat, you pondered if you should just get up to go to satoru's class to deliver the paper, but... it was like your mind had betrayed itself when that blindfolded idiot busted through your door with that annoying smile of his. "y/n!" he called out to you, his little giggle that you despised so much echoed into your ears, "the principal told me you had some paperwork that i needed to retrieve?"
"you didn't need to retrieve anything," you remark with a tone of ice in your voice, "i was getting ready to deliver it to you." stuffing your phone into your pocket, you get up, waving the piece of papers in hand. "you were late on writing these reports, gojo. at least a month late. since kugisaki and itadori got injured, you took more than month to get their incident report filed to the higher ups."
satoru giggled, shrugging his shoulders as he approached you. "ah? it seems you're in a sour mood today, y/n.~"
"don't call me by my first name, gojo." you sneer. "last name. last name!" you wanted to knock the blind folded idiot upside on the head, but you knew his little infinity blessing would protect him from your little assault. "here, these are the report approvals by the higher ups. keep a copy, and—"
"i know, y/n." he says, his smile widening as he reached out to grab the stack of papers in your hand. "i know my job well, as much as you do. i think you're a bit too worried, y'know. sounds to me you need some dessert!"
you roll your eyes, letting the annoying teacher take the papers from you hand before proceeding to boop you on the nose. "ugh, shut up," you murmur.
"what if i got you some mochi, huh?" satoru tilted his head. "will that make you a little less grumpy?"
you roll your eyes again, ignoring the man's offer. though, mochi didn't sound so bad. you would turn your back to him as you began to leave your office, but instead he'd slam a hand at a wall, blocking your path to escape. your eyes slowly peel towards him, unfazed by his action. that was when he leaned down, pinning you against the wall.
the both of you were silent... satoru leaned in, then—he peeled his hand away, chuckling.
"hehe. sorry, i just like to piss you off.♪"
he sung, before stepping back, allowing you to leave.
"i suppose that's obvious at this point, gojo. i'll see you later."
that was when you stepped out of the office, finally leaving.
you sigh. you need a vacation or something...

new sea glass gardens fan here! ✋🏻 happy to see such so much ask activity but i cant really go thru them all.
SO
what is one thing thats not in the fic but related to the universe that you would like ur readers to know?
Welcome!!
It’s that we won’t get to season 1 but if we did yuuji would be violently jealous of yuuta, who is living his best life and is obviously gods perfect man who has somehow locked down fushiguro megumi as his boy.
Probably just how badly it went when megumi was a kid.
There’s been a lot of asks about what happened when the zenin had shared custody. Most of what happened is never making it into sea glass gardens, because I don’t think it would ever come out in yuuta’s pov. I do have one shots from Megumi’s perspective and Gojo’s perspective that I’ve half written that may go up one day, but for right now, it’s a lot of backstory that you won’t ever get from sea glass itself.
If you don’t want to pick through a million asks, here’s a loose outline of what happened:
Gojo found Megumi and decided to adopt him. He then immediately decided he was in over his head and that he would be dragging Nanami and Shoko in with him. It takes a village and he’ll conscript one of his own.
Nanami and Shoko asked him “where the fuck did you get children” and he Did Not Answer That Question
During this time, Gojo, Nanami, and Shoko were sort of falling apart. They were all grieving. Everyone was completely overworked. Nanami had one foot out the door and wasn’t even hiding it. He was isolating himself and blatantly about to leave them all and not leave a number to reach him at. Shoko was abusing alcohol and cigarettes. Gojo was constantly in missions. They were all on the brink of losing each other for good when gojo brought megumi and tsumiki home.
Then he told the Zenin that he has discovered the magic of teenaged fatherhood with Zenin Toji’s kid and would be keeping him, xoxoxo. Hugs and kisses, peace and love, would not be giving this funky little dude back.
The Zenin replied “fuck you, thats our blood, give him back” and Gojo replied “fuck you, I called dibs.” Which the Zenin Did Not Like.
But the thing is that none of the Zenin knew that Megumi had the Ten Shadows yet, and the Zenin knew that if they went to war with Gojo, they’d lose. And they did not want to fucking admit that one member of the Gojo clan could kick all their asses at once, especially over the son of the Zenin clan’s biggest failure, especially when that guy just fucked them all over by killing the star plasma vessel. To save face, they decided to let Gojo keep him and called it a peace offering between their clans… then turned around and spread rumors about how Gojo just liked little kids and that’s why he wanted Zenin Toji’s son.
There’s a roughly nine months period after that where everyone was genuinely happy. Like, it was far from perfect, but they were finally healing a little? They were finally a real group again. They were all simply enchanted with Megumi and Tsumiki. They were happy. They felt like they could really, really be a family one day.
Then the Zenin found out Megumi had the ten shadows.
Cue the most aggressive custody battle of all time. The Zenin wanted full and unconditional custody of Megumi. They wanted Gojo to never have contact with him again. They did not want Tsumiki. Megumi would be theirs and he was never to be allowed contact with his sister or anyone from their group again.
At this point, the higher ups were mostly content to let them duke it out privately. They thought Gojo would lose, is the thing. He was committing the ultimate taboo by taking the ten shadows from the Zenin. They figured he’d eventually cave after he burned up all his good will and he’d be easier to control after this.
Instead it got to the point where Gojo said “actually, fuck this,” and just fucking. Quit. So did Nanami and Shoko. They formed a union and took the kids with them. The Zenin had decided that taking Megumi was an act of war they would answer in kind. It was either kill the entire Zenin clan or fuck off with their family and they chose the latter.
Megumi and Tsumiki think they were just on vacation but actually the custody dispute had escalated to the point of physical violence and the Teen Parenting Trio were hiding out with them to keep them safe.
This made the higher ups freak out, because all of a sudden, they had lost their only working special grade curse user and their only healer. They put pressure on Yaga to fix it.
Yaga was the one who brokered the custody agreement.
He convinced Gojo that what was best for Megumi and for everyone was to negotiate with the Zenin. The Zenin would have partial custody, and Gojo would have him the rest of the time. Megumi would get training in his technique from the people with the best knowledge of it, the Zenin would get time with the Ten Shadows, and they’d avoid war. Yaga thought it was the best deal they’d get.
This is when it all goes to shit.
The Zenin start abusing Megumi. They wouldn’t call it abuse if you asked them, but it was. They forced him to train constantly. No one would call him by his actual name no matter how much he begged. The bit where Megumi was forcibly bathed in sgg? It was an everyday thing when he was a kid. Every single aspect of his life was controlled when he was on the compound, down to what he wore and how his hair was styled. He was getting beaten pretty badly on the daily. The Zenin consider learning how to manage pain a part of training, and Megumi was not exempt from that. He was their heir. He was meant to withstand the most intense training without complaint.
Zenin Naoya was made one of his primary trainers, and he did purposefully abuse Megumi. Everyone else was obsessed with Megumi, only cared about the idea of him, and discarded anything that didnt fit their image about who they wanted him to be. But Naoya hated him. He saw Megumi as usurping his place in the clan. He liked hurting him. He beat him as often as he could.
Megumi starts acting out at home because of how bad things are with the Zenin. He gets in more and more fights at school and shuts down constantly. He's hurting and it's making him struggle, hard.
Eventually, Megumi goes to Gojo and begs him to stop making him go back to the Zenin Compound.
Gojo doesn't save him.
When they come back and make the custody deal, the higher ups basically go after the Teen Parenting Trio with everything they've got. The thing is that they almost lost some of their most valuable members of their society. They realized that they needed new ways to control them. So they introduced Shoko to harder drugs and got her addicted. They worked Gojo constantly. They isolated Nanami. When Megumi goes to Gojo, Gojo's at the absolute end of his rope, fully exhausted, and cannot take a single thing more.
He's also biased out of his mind as to what he thinks is going on. See, he thinks Megumi is being treated how Gojo was treated when he was a kid, which is like a little prince. The issue he's worried about is Megumi being pampered and put on a pedestal to the point it becomes dehumanizing. He's working double time to make sure that the rest of the time, Megumi gets to be a kid the way he didn't get to be growing up. But he never in a million years thought that the Zenin would ever lay a hand on the Ten Shadows, because the Gojo never in a million years would have laid a hand on their Six Eyes.
The other thing is that he sort of just. Thought he knew what was going on? Megumi had been pissed he had to be separated from his sister from the start. He had started to fight incessantly at school (because he was being abused and lashing out), and the Zenin were explaining away his bruises by saying he was starting fights with the other children. It fully fit with his behavior, in their mind. They blamed Maki more than once for his bruises, ironically enough. They said she was jealous of his technique.
Megumi was itty bitty and so fucking hurt, and he sort of stumbles through asking for help, and a lot is lost in communication. Gojo thinks he's just sick of going back there because his family's fucking weird and treats him like he's magic Jesus and he wants to be with his sister full time again. He also thinks that the only options are keeping this going or killing all the Zenin, because that's what Yaga told him. As much as he fucking hates it, he'd rather Megumi put up with spending two days a month with some fucking weirdos over murdering an entire clan or giving up custody entirely. So he basically cuts Megumi off and tells him that they have to make this work if he wants to stay with his sister the rest of the time.
Megumi now thinks that his family knows about the abuse and that they'll take away his sister if he doesn't just shut up and take it.
Megumi gets more hopeless and desperate, but he doesn't ask for help again. He thinks they already know. And he's not going to beg someone to help who never will. The abuse gets worse.
The Zenin start pushing their luck. They don't want partial custody--they want full custody. They start refusing to turn Megumi over to them unless Gojo personally comes to retrieve him, because Gojo's the only one who can actually make them turn him over. Megumi thinks his family is just fucking abandoning to his abusers and becomes more despondent in his situation. It doesn't help that the Zenin are telling him that he's staying later than he has to because his family didn't care enough to come get him.
Nanami gets increasingly frustrated with the situation because he keeps showing up to pick up Megumi at the very first second he can, and the Zenin keep turning him away at the door, and he keeps having to call Gojo in only for them to suddenly cooperate without complaint. He feels useless and angry.
Gojo feels frustrated because he's got every single second of the day scheduled with missions, and he's having to leave them to knock on the door of the Zenin compound and walk Megumi to Nanami's car. During all of this, Shoko has been escalating her drug use due to the higher ups pressure, and it's starting to show, but she refuses to get clean because she can just heal any damage the drugs do to her. Their previously happy family dynamic starts breaking.
Eventually, the situation at the Zenin compound hits its breaking point. If you're interested in what makes the situation hit a new extreme, the post is here, but I'll refrain from saying it here in case anyone wants to wait and see if I'll post the one shots and have it be revealed in-universe.
Naoya almost kills Megumi that time around, and they're all so emboldened by the liberties they've been taking with the custody agreement that they don't even try to hide it this time. They don't think Gojo actually loves Megumi, is the thing. They think Megumi is just a pawn to him, and that he won't care if they hurt him.
Nanami is the one that finds Megumi like that, and it fucking destroys him. He is never able to forget what Megumi looked like then. He carried him to the car, held him the entire time that Ijichi gunned it back to the school, rushed him to Shoko for treatment, and has never been able to forget what it felt like to hold him and not know if he'd survive the drive. He has never been able to forget it.
Anyway, he went back to kick Naoya's fucking ass.
Gojo showed up halfway through their throw down, drag out fight, so furious the ground shook with it. That's the part that Maki remembers of what happened. He told them that it was over, that they'd never be allowed near Megumi again, and he kept his word.
Yaga tried to talk them out of it. It's not that he wanted Megumi to be hurt. He just genuinely thought they didn't have any other options. He didn't think they could actually take the Ten Shadows from the Zenin. He thought the best they could do would be to try to force them into a binding vow not to hurt him. He told them they had to give Megumi back to the Zenin.
The Teen Parenting Trio cut him out of raising the kids completely after that. It broke their trust in him. They no longer thought he'd actually protect them.
Nanami broke down. He couldn't do it anymore. It was Haibara all over again. He told Gojo he was done, that he couldn't do it anymore. He wanted equal custody of the kids. They could work out a schedule. But he couldn't do this anymore.
Gojo realized that Megumi thought that he knew the entire time, and swore up and down that he'd never compromise on his or Tsumiki's wellbeing again. Their family was never the same, and it sort of haunts Gojo as to what they could have been. He always wonders if they could have had something closer if he had just refused to let the Zenin near his kid.
These events are in greater detail in the asks, but that's the general backstory underlying the events right now.

Jujutsu Kaisen, Chapter 201 Thoughts.
It’s highly ironic the last two chapters are Kenjaku in Geto’s body, making some of Geto’s worst fears come to life. Geto always warned that normal  people could use sheer numbers to exploite and harm sorcerers.  . While Geto’s methodology was entirely in the wrong (murder is bad) people perhaps his fear of the masses who can’t use jujutsu turning against the few who can use jujutsu are not as unfounded as they once seemed.
When Geto says that the weak oppress the strong with their superior numbers, what does he mean?
1. Exorcise. Consume. For whom?
It’s sort of hard to go “Hmm, maybe Geto had a point” because his way of making that point was mass murder, but I think a lot of people understand what the points that Geto was trying to make are. His methodology is godawful, but both his criticisms for the jujutsu world and his fears aren’t completely unfounded.
Geto’s believes are founded in a fear of the “weak” repressing the “strong”, where the “weak” are those outside the Jujutsu World, common, ordinary every day citizens, while the “strong” are individual Jujutsu Sorcerers.
The first and visceral response to this idea is obviously, sorcerers are not oppressed. There’s an idea in literature criticism called the X-Men Fallacy. The X-Men Fallacy comes from the X-Men comics, and it’s a caution against using people with superpowers oppressed by their society as a metaphor for oppressed minorities in real life, because it is essentially legitimizing that oppression by giving a reason for it. If people really could shoot laser beams out of their eyeballs, it would make sense people would be cautious of that because it represents a legitimate danger. There’s no legitimate danger of say, a gay person, any violence or oppression against them is senseless.
Sorcerers don’t work as a 1:1 metaphor for real world oppression of minority groups, but I don’t think that is exactly what Gege is going for. As a group of people Sorcerers are not opppressed by any government structure, there’s no laws against them, etc. etc. (True the americans are targetting them now but I’ll get to that). However, Sorcerers en masse are exploited.
What do I mean by exploited as opposed to oppressed? In order to prevent the deaths by curses, Jujutsu Sorcerers are expected to fight Curses basically around the clock. Not only do they risk their lives on exorcism missions on a daily basis, they are raised to do this since children. The Jujutsu world is also incredibly insular, Sorcerers rarely have much of a life outside of their duty of exercising curses. There are some people like say certain members of the Zenin clan, (Mai and Maki) who are not even allowed to have a glimpse of a normal life because they are raised with the expectation to be sorcerers so there is no alternative path out of it.
This works much better as a real world comparison, after all there are plenty of people who work dangerous jobs and are exploited for their labor, and society requires people to do that job for the whole of society to function. This is also imagery we are shown multiple times in the manga itself, sorcerers are referred to as cogs in a wheel, people doing a job eliminating curses so the majority of society can function. Megumi calls Jujutsu sorcerers a cog, Nanami calls Sorcery a “Shit Job” like his nine to five finance job albeit one that helps more people, Yuji calls himself only a cog in the machine that exercises curses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is also something about sorcerer society that is something generally accepted and taken as unchangeable, sorcerers will continue to die fighting curses for the “greater good of all of society. Needs of the many, etc.
Geto’s main criticism of Sorcerer Society is questioning that exploitation. Why should sorcerers have to continually die, especially in service of an ignorant majority that does not know that sorcerers are fighting these battles for them in the first place?
Its a legitimate criticism, one that is distorted later on by Geto’s own feelings of sorcerer supremacy. However, Geto’s ideals are pretty clear in the Hidden Inventory arc. He starts out believing similar to both Megumi, Nanami, Yuji, that this is the way things are, sorcerers have to use their abilities to protect the weaker common people from curses.  They are obligated to use their great powers in service of others.
Tumblr media
There’s nothing wrong with that ideal or sense of resposnibility per se, it just doesn’t measure up to the reality that Geto faces. First, that idea is rooted in the idea of sacrifice for the greater good. Utilitarianism etc. The strong should keep the weak in check, Jujutsu Sorcerers should be used to help the greatest amount of people possible. The problem with utilitarianism is how alluring it sounds. It makes sense to sacrifice the few for the many, because that’s numbers right, until you are one of the few who is sacrificed.
One of the greatest critiques of utilitarianism ideology is as follows, “What do you quantify as an acceptable sacrifice for the greater good?” It’s a question with no real answer because people will argue how much is worth sacrificing over a perceived gain, and who should be doing the sacrificing.
To name another example, have you heard of the Prisoner’s Dilemna?
The prisoner’s dilemma presents a situation where two parties, separated and unable to communicate, must each choose between cooperating with the other or not. The highest reward for each party occurs when both parties choose to co-operate. [SOURCE]
However, the rub is both robgbers can minimize the total jail time that the two of them will do if only they co-operate and stay silent, but they are offered incentives to betray each other that they are faced seperately, which will drive them to defect and end up doing maximum total jail time between the two of hem six years total.
Another example of the Prisoner’s dilemma is known as the Tragedy of the Commons:
It may be to everyone’s collective advantage to conserve and reinvest in the propagation of a common pool of natural resources in order to be able to continue consuming it, but each individual always has an incentive to instead consume as much as possible as quickly as possible, which then depletes the resource. Finding some way to co-operate would clearly make everyone better off here.
In other words both of these principles show that even in situations where it makes sense logically for people to cooperate for a common good and it would lead to the best result, people will instead act for individual good instead, because humans don’t behave rationally.
Geto’s ideals that make sense, are then confronted with the senselessness of human behavior. He’s challenged in two ways in the Hidden Inventory arc. First,  when He and Gojo are asked to sacrifice a girl for the common good, Jujutsu Society whose ideal is to protect the weak are essentially asking Geto and Gojo to kill a teenage girl as a sacrifice for the sake of the many.
This is the first time Geto’s ideals don’t hold up to the reality of his job, because he cannot protect the weak individual (Riko) and protect the weak collective (jujutsu world and outside) at the same time. A strict utilitarian would say Geto should accept his mission, and sacrifice Riko for the common good. However, Geto’s ideals don’t lie in utitilarianism, they lie in the fact that Sorcerers are obligated to use their powers to protect the weak.
So, Geto is asked to do reconcile these two very different ideas. His own ideals on how the ewak should be protected by strong people like him and Gojo. And Sorcerer Society which asks Sorcerers to fight curses and make sacrifices en masse in order to protect the weak. Sacrificing Riko is in allignment with Sorcerer Society’s ideals, but against Geto’s personal ideals. HOWEVER. Geto doesn’t realize this yet, and he attempts to reconcile them. He attempts to have both at once, continue with his duty as a sorcerer, and also protect Riko. His logic being that him and Gojo should simply be strong enough to do both.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course they’re both wrong, because no individual on their own is stronger than society. In the context of the fight, despite caliming they are the strongest, both Gojo and Geto working together were not enough to protect Riko in time even if Gojo did kill Toji by the end of the fight.
This is the first time that Geto’s high ideals come crashing down in reality. There are two things he believes in, because the strong protect the weak he will be able to protect people like Riko in front of him when he chooses too. Geto can’t live up to that paradigm he puts on himself when he fails to protect her, he has failed in his perceived duty.
The second is Geto’s belief that the sacrifices sorcerers make for the greater society have a purpose, that they fight to protect the greater majority of people and therefore for that goal any sacrifice is worth it. Which once again, returning to utilitarianism, sacrificing for the greater good is something that seems to make logical sense until you’re the one asked to make the sacrifice.
Tumblr media
Geto never abandons his idea of the strong protecting the weak. That people who have power should fight for those who don’t have power. Rather, his idea of who weak people are changes because of what he witnesses.
Geto sees a little girl murdered, because a cult of rich and powerful people paid for Toji to do it. He’s met with the seneslessnes of the violence. A little girl isn’t even sacrificed for the greater good of stopping the danger of Master Tengen’s evolution, she’s sacrificed because a bunch of sick people with the money to do so killed a little girl for their demented religious beliefs and then applauded their deaths. Jujutsu Sorcerers have strength in the sense that they can shoot laser beams, but they don’t have traditional societal power, they don’t have money or influence, they are in all aspects a fringe group on the edge of society most people don’t even know about.
Tumblr media
At the beginning of the arc Geto says, that the Star religious group are the ones that they don’t need to worry about because they’re not curse users. Only to have it turn out to be them as the ones directly repsonsible for her death, yes Toji killed her, but only because the Star Group paid her too. They used money and societal power, the power of the majority, something Jujutsu Sorcerers don’t have.
This prompts Geto to ask himself the question, who is really the weak one in this situation? Who is it that he should truly be protecting?
Geto talks about “reason” because he assumes the world to be rational. Jujutsu Sorcerers assume society runs like a machine that works, when it truly doesn’t. In Geto’s mind, his actions of exorcising curses, should achieve the greater perceivable benefit of a better, safer society. However, instead what Geto witnesses is the opposite. Sorcerers work themselves to the bone exercising curses, only for the situation not to improve at all. “Exorcisms and consumption” especially relates to ideas of laborers as an exploited people in the greater scope of capitalism. Say you’re a factory worker making a product that essentially nobody needs, but is sold anyway, because captialism is desired around a model of endless consumption, people make things, because people buy things. People need to constantly buy things to keep money flowing. However, if you are factory worker A, even if you get paid for your labor, it’s difficult to see your work as amounting to anything if all you do is make a cheap product no one needs. Of course in this case Geto is presented with what seems like a sacred duty, slaying monsters to protect the innocent people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yet in reality, sorcerer’s live extremely short lives, young sorcerers die in hideous and gruesome deaths all the time, and while less people die on a grand scale it’s also true that sorcerers are dying left and right and yet the number of curses made in the world doesn’t decrease. Yuki Tsukumo’s point is that the current system of exercising curses one by one is unsustainable. Geto’s point is that sorcerers will continue to die, and they’re even expected to always make this sacrifice, over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over.
Geto’s snapping point is also, him witnessing again a year later the same thing he witnessed with Riko’s death. Not only is the extreme labor that sorcerers are expected to perform for an unknowing population a violence already performed against sorceers. There are also other ways sorcerers are exposed to violence. Even if sorcerers are individually strong, they are one outnumbered by normal people who can band up together to do violence against them, the way the town of people forms a mob to cage these two little girls based on superstition, and two sorcerers have no real money or political power.
Tumblr media
Mass Murder was Geto’s method. It was the way Geto saw to achieve his ideals. Geto’s ideal is a world where Sorcerers don’t die over and over again exercising curses. A world where this status quo of senseless death and exploitation changes. And yes, sorcerers are exploited at least for their labors.
Tumblr media
They are a fringe group, they have very little say in their lives, they’re expected tow ork and devote their entire lives to that work, and it’s incredibly dangerous and deadly work, even young sorcerers are expected to risk their lives. Geto’s not wrong in the fact that it’s unjust to build an entire society on the sacrifice on these countless nameless sorcerers. And even as Geto’s methods become more murdererous, this idea at the center of his actions is that it’s unfair that sorcerers be expected to make this sacrifice over and over again. Sorcerers are in fact mistreated by society at large, despite the fact that they are indivdually strong (they can shoot laser beams) they are also expected to labor hard all of their lives which usually lead to short lives. It’s like, everyone agrees child labor is bad right, and yet for society to currently function as it does people Yuta’s age are asked to continually go on missions where they may die.
Tumblr media
Geto’s disillusionment just causes him to mistake belive the only response to a society where sorcerers are relatively powerless and stuck with their lot in life is “sorcerer supermacy” that is, to retool society where sorcerers rule. THis is also where Geto falls victim to the same trappings of sorcerer society he pretends to be above. Sorcerer society runs on might makes right. Sorcerers believe that stronger sorcerers are better, stronger sorcery techniques are better, everything is run on individual strength. Geto’s replacing one world where individualism reigns for another, because despite being a radical and seeing clearly there is a problem here he can’t escape the box society has trapped him in. He even uses a might make right methodology. Well, clearly, if the problem is that regular humans who can’t use sorcerer have us outnumbered ten to one, then we should just kill them all, the stronger, better people will rule.
Ignoring the obvious flaw in Geto’s plan that sorcerers are constantly infighting, and sorcerer politics is incredibly conservative and cutthroat Besides the obvious “murder is bad”, Geto seems to ignore the fact that if sorcerers were left as the only ones running the show, all the problems of sorcerer society would still be there and they would still be constantly killing each other over infighting.
Anyway, my long dive into explaining Geto’s ideals and his critiques of how sorcerer society is ran is eventually leading to this, Geto’s fears that sorcerers may be exploited by the majority are literally coming true as of Kenjaku’s actions.
Once again this works better as a labor exploitation metaphor, then a minority one. Kenjaku is propopsing that sorcerers can be used, not just as labor to exercise curses, but also as a literal resource.
Tumblr media
The trappings of utilitarianism, what seems to make sense as a sacrifice for the greater good of society, in this case a small sacrifice to create a clean and renewable energy that will solve the energy crisis, seems reasonable until you are the one expected to make the sacrifice.
Kenjaku even references the tragedy of the commons here. The president is against abduction and human experimentation UNTIL his advisors mention that other countries might want to abduct and experiment on the sorcerers instead. THe common sense solution is that no one experiments on sorcerers. However, when it’s possible that someone else might do it instead, and they might get this resource that we do not have, and therefore put them at advantage over us THEN WE HAVE TO HAVE IT INSTEAD. Tragedy of the commons play out in real time. The logical solution is for no one to conduct experiments and everyone reaps the benefits, the most appealing solution is ONLY WE GET THE BENEFITS.
Tumblr media
This is also Geto’s fear playing out in action, that people outside of the Jujutsu World can use numbers, and resources such as money and political pull that Jujutsu Sorcerers do not have in order to move against Jujutsu Sorcerers. I think Gege uses the word “Minority” with tact here, they’re not an oppressed minority because there is societal oppresion against them, but rather beause they make up a minority of society, beucase they are in small numbers and have no political pull it would be incredibly easy for the president of america to just, send a number of soldiers against them. The small size of the Sorcerer Community makes them vulnerable and unable to protect themselves if and when others on the outside decide to gang up on them in larger numbers.
Tumblr media
Once again, the American's actions aren’t to like, oppress the sorcerers but rather to use them as an exploitable resource. They are already being exploited to exorcise curses, but now the political powers all around the world may do something as inhumane as kidnap them and experiment on them, for some perceived benefit of cleaner energy, or whatever, and they can get away with this because they have the power to do so.
Geto’s fear revolved around the ideas that this might happen, especially after witnessing it happen twice, an entire small town beating on two little girls and locking them in cages, an incredibly rich cult paying for the deaths of a fifteen year old girl. The majority can find reasons to justify violence against sorcerers, and sorcerers because of their small numbers cannot really defend themselves against that violence. That was always a risk, and now we are seeing it play out in real time. So, let the sorcerer hunt begin.

Naoya Zenin never went out of his way to make sure a date went well. He usually settled with taking a lot of women he entangled with to the same five-star restaurant. He was pretty sure that the hosts were tired of seeing his face every other week with a different woman on his arm. With Y/N, he had to be different. She deserved something different. Something more elegant. Something much more romantic. He wasn’t the best at planning dates, especially for a woman he seemed to be genuinely in. After all, he read a book to children for her. Was he whipped that much that he was going out of his way for this one woman who he wasn’t even sure if she felt the same way?
His overthinking thoughts began to think about what Seon told him. What if she’s just like everyone else, just after your money? She was just an English teacher after all. She could gain much more from dating him than he would gain from dating her. But Naoya was positive that she wouldn’t have accepted the date or even entertained him if she wasn’t interested in getting to know him. Especially since they have been texting each other a lot lately. He found himself feeling calm when she would rant about dealing with a lousy parent. It just felt different from hearing Fei rant about not getting the Christian Dior bag she wanted. Maybe that's why Naoya was so interested in Y/N. He was surrounded by luxury his whole life perhaps he just was getting bored of lusting for partners of the same social status.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he couldn’t even hear the person who had perfectly planned out this date from start to finish on the speaker of his phone. Yuki Tsukumo was one of Japan’s best matchmakers. From hooking up princes with beautiful women to even creating romantic dates for couples to be. If you need your love life spiced up, contact her.
“Everything should go perfectly, Naoya. A romantic rooftop dinner in one of Japan’s finest restaurants, you don’t have to worry about anything other than your lousy mouth.” Yuki said.
Naoya was adjusting one of his custom cuff links. It was engraved with a Z. A gift from his father that many Zenin men owned. “Lousy mouth?” He questioned in confusion.
“What you say out your mouth is such a turn-off. I hate to indulge in gossip pages, but a lot of women have been saying this about you.” Yuki said. “So please, don’t mess this up. I would hate for a perfect date that I have organized to go to shit.”
“I won’t. I think I actually like this one,” Naoya cheekily admitted.
He heard Yuki’s aggregated sigh. “Of course you do, but it’s almost time. Are you picking your date up? Are you driving your own car? Using your driver?”
“I got a new car, so I’ll be driving just to break my new baby in.” Naoya chuckles to himself as he combed through his hair one last time. “I’m about to head out though, so I’ll keep you updated.”
He shared his farewells with Yuki and ended the call. He quickly texted Y/N stating that he was on his way, but his heart quickened seeing her send the panicking emoji. Was she about to cancel on him?
MSSG TO NAOYA FROM Y/N
I can’t decide which earrings to wear. Should I do the dangle ones or keep it simple with the studs?
Naoya glanced down at two pictures she had attached showing off herself with one earring in each one of her ears. His cheeks felt like they were burning and even if he didn’t look in a mirror, he knew he was blushing. She looked so breathtaking without trying. A simple thing like sending a selfie had Naoya’s heart thump in his chest so heavily that if he concentrated hard enough, he could hear his heart beating. While waltzing into his living room to grab his car keys, he quickly texted back.
MSSG TO Y/N FROM NAOYA
Considering your hairstyle, I say go with the studs.  I’m heading out of my place now to pick you up, by the way
As he closed his penthouse door with everything he needed, he walked down the hall anticipating a text. She quickly responds to his message.
MSSG TO NAOYA FROM Y/N
Okay, I’m almost done getting ready. Just need to do one more touch-up on my makeup then I’m all yours Prince Charming 😉
Naoya stepped into the elevator while reading his text. “Fuck. She drives me crazy.” He mumbled to himself while adding a heart reaction to the message and shoving his phone in his perfectly pressed slacks.
It was true. The woman had a spell on him he couldn’t quite put his finger on. He thought about her throughout his day. He thought about cherishing her. He thought about loving her. Obviously, he thought about fucking—actually scratch that. He wanted to make love to her. He knew she deserved more than him putting his pleasures before hers.
He stepped out of the elevator and into the garage of his complex. With him owning the most expensive penthouse in the building, he was given about three parking spots—but with his huge car appetite, Naoya wasn’t afraid to wiggle out more spots for his cars. He remembered Toji telling him that if he just got a house built, he wouldn’t have to worry about that. Naoya always has to remind his cousin that he was still a bachelor with no kids, while Toji had one kid and a wife. Why would he get a house where it’s only him occupying it?
He stopped in front of his jet-black Audi R8. An impulse buy, he brought moments after scoring a date with Y/N. Her agreeing to it made him so excited he went out and brought a brand new car. He had put Y/N’s address into the GPS and started to drive. He was driving in complete silence wondering if he should stop by to pick up some flowers, but he remembered Yuki said that he couldn’t miss the reservation. He could just get flowers sent to her house tomorrow.
When he arrived at her place, he parked the car and glanced around his surroundings. It wasn’t anything like his apartment complex. He got out of the car, being sure to lock his car, and once again he was glancing at the place. It was a building, similar to a complex. It had some apartments that probably were the size of Naoya’s closet at the bottom and then some at the top where residents had to walk up some stairs to get to the top level of the apartments. He leaned against his car texting Y/N that he was outside. He watched as the message bubbles appeared but soon disappeared. His eyes watched as one of the residents stepped outside their home just when Y/N was stepping out of hers.
“Mom! Look it’s Ms. L/N!” The little kid with the mom said in excitement.
“Shin, please lower your voice. You don’t want to wake up our neighbors.” The mother responded as she looked at him.
As if the little kid's voice did wake up the neighbors, another set of heads poked out of their apartment complex. “Woah, Y/N! You look gorgeous!“ A pink-haired young man said.
“Thanks, Yuji, how’s that math class treating you?” Y/N asked.
“Uhhh—“ Yuji’s words were interrupted by his older black-haired brother.
“He hasn’t been studying as you told him to do.” The male said.
The mother who was on her way to separate her trash to put in the residency bins would eye Naoya who was viewing what was unfolding in front of him. For some reason, he only paid attention to the one dark-haired male. He displayed the same flirtatious demeanor Naoya would display, but he was much more toned down. Naoya didn’t even think Y/N was catching up on the subtle flirting the guy was doing.
“I have to go you guys, I have someone waiting for me. Yuji, don’t forget to study. Choso, make sure you submit your manga to your editor.” She would wave at them as she made her way down the stairs.
“Please return her home safely!” The mom yelled at Naoya.
“I will.” Naoya respectfully bowed his head to the woman before his eyes were traveling to the woman he was thinking about.
Her hair was pulled up in a top knot bun with some curls in the front. The fusion pink thin strapped dress she wore hugged her body so perfectly that Naoya could see every dip and curve in her body. The dress felt so scandalous yet classy at the same time. She accessorized with the diamond stud earrings she showed him earlier, a gorgeous necklace, and a mini purse that Naoya was sure only fit her house keys and a lip gloss. When she grew closer to him, Naoya then was familiarized with the sweet scent of her Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet perfume. He could fall in love with her from the way she carried herself right now if Naoya could.
He had a foolish grin on his face as he looked her up and down. “You look—uh.” He was searching for his own words. He was completely taken back by her beauty.
“Fuck. You look so beautiful.” He said out loud.
She giggled at his comment. “Thank you, you look pretty charming yourself.” She smiles.
“Thank you, should we get going?” He asked as he opened the passenger side of the door.
“Yes, I would love to see what Naoya Zenin has planned for me.” She says as she climbed into the car gracefully.
Naoya has had many women in the passenger seat of his sports cars, but no one looked as beautiful as Y/N. His eyes found them constantly glancing over at her as she was watching the buildings go by with how fast Naoya was going. “Are you going to tell me what we’re doing tonight?” She asked as she looked at him.
“I have a dinner planned for us, just so we can get to know each other more,” Naoya explained as his fingers tapped at the steering wheel.
“Hmm, interesting. What more to know about me? I’m an English teacher and before I got ready for this date, I was trying to scrub a magic marker off my favorite sweater.” She carelessly shrugged her shoulders.
“I think there’s so much more to you than you want me to know,” Naoya said as he made a turn onto another road. “I’ll be patient enough for you to open up to me.” He answered truthfully.
“I just want to know why. Why me? You can have any woman in your social circle, but you’re here with me.” Y/N says as she looked over at him to be met with his gaze since he stopped at a red light.
“Yeah, here with you,” Naoya repeated as he pressed down on the gas once again. “When I see something I want, I go get it.” He simply adds.
“When you put it that way, you make me sound like one of your cars,” Y/N says and Naoya soon realized what Yuki said to him earlier.
When he pulled in front of the restaurant, he had stepped out of the car with a quickness before Y/N could open her door. He opened the door for her, extending his hand for her to take and she did. She clutched his arm as he gave his car keys to the valet person to park his car. A person held the door open for both of them and when they two walked in, all eyes were on them. The restaurant Yuki chose was one of the best five-star restaurants that only certain people can get in. The waitlist for reservations was booked for up to two years. The starting price range for just one entree was over sixty thousand yen. The restaurant was pure luxury and only people who didn’t care to spend thousands of yen for one three-course dinner could even breathe in the atmosphere. Naoya approached the host stand and the host already knew who he was, she would greet you two with a smile before motioning for you two to follow her.
With each step further inside the restaurant, Naoya could feel the grasp on his arm get tighter. He only removed the grasp on his arm to intertwine his fingers with Y/N’s, giving her hand a comforting squeeze as they followed the lady. The lady stopped at an elevator that was going to lead you two upstairs, her manicured finger pressed the button. As you three waited for the elevator, Naoya looked at Y/N. His eyes lit up in worry as he could see how confused she was. Perhaps the lingering eyes and whispers as they made their way through the restaurant caused her to feel some type of way. Or maybe the fact that this host was leading them to a whole different area from the other guests? Naoya couldn’t read her just yet and was hoping this date would help him pertaining that task.
“Everything okay?” Naoya asked as he looked at her. The pad of his thumb begins to rub comforting circles around the back of her hand. “We can leave if you—“
“No, I’m fine. It’s just I never actually knew this restaurant existed, it looks so fancy and expensive.” Y/N explained. “I don’t know, I could be just overthinking some things.” She explains while looking at him. “I just don’t want you to feel obligated to do all of this to try to impress me.”
Naoya listened to her concerns before looking at the host who was waiting for them to step into the elevator. She made a fair point. Majority of his dates, he has used his riches as a form of gain to get further into the women he pursued. Naoya would pull out his wallet, he stepped forward grabbing the pin that was neatly placed in the hostess's uniform vest pocket and he would walk to the coffee table that was near the elevator. Y/N was beyond confused as she was watching Naoya write four separate checks, especially given that the couple didn’t even sit down to eat yet.
He handed the checks to the host who glanced down at them, “Mr. Zenin, we can not take these.” She was attempting to give them back to him, but he refused.
“It’s no problem. One should cover the cost of the dinner. The others are just a tip for you, our server, and the valet guy outside.” He respectfully bowed at the hostess. “We apologize for the inconvenience,” he says before collecting Y/N’s hand and walking back through the restaurant.
“What the hell just happened? What are you doing?” Y/N asked as she followed before him.
Once again all eyes were on them and Y/N could even see one prestigious woman snap a picture as they were walking by. When they got outside, the valet instantly went to go get Naoya’s car. Y/N would tug the gentleman in by his jacket to gain his attention. “We could have stayed, I would have gotten over the feeling.” She says.
“You said it yourself that you don’t want me to use my wealth to try to impress you,” Naoya explains. “So, we’re going somewhere different.”
Y/N lips formed a smile, “I just want to know you without the riches. Although, it’s a huge part of your life—which is understandable. But it doesn’t define you, does it?”
When Naoya heard that question leave her mouth, he couldn’t even answer that question. He grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and everything handed to him. He was an overseer of many hotels around the world. He could snap his fingers and get anything he wanted. Yet, he didn’t know much about himself other than those things. His lips formed a straight line in frustration. Who was Naoya Zenin without his bank account?
His thoughts were interrupted as Y/N grabbed a hold of his hand with a slight smile. “Don’t overthink the question, you have plenty of time tonight to tell me.” She winks at him before letting go of his hand to walk towards his car that had just pulled up.
When they got back into the car, Y/N was on her phone texting away and Naoya could hear a stressed sigh from her. “What’s wrong?” He asked.
“It’s just one of my student's moms.” She answered.
“They reach out to you after school hours?” Naoya questioned. “Isn’t that like crossing boundaries?”
“I mean, I don’t really mind it since I did offer up my number to some parents who want to have a much closer eye on their child. However, with this particular child, the mom has been going through some hardships with the child's father.” Y/N explained. “So this particular child needs special attention from me because he does act out occasionally. Which I only think he acts out because of what’s happening at home.”
“Hardships like what? Divorce? That obviously will be hard for a five-year-old to witness.” Naoya said as he was driving.
“I think the father is abusive, but I don't want to draw that conclusion so soon,” Y/N explained. “She always talks to me in a hush tone sometimes. When I questioned why she was speaking so low, she immediately answered with because the child was sleeping.” She says.
Naoya's hands gripped the steering wheel. “Do you know the husband's name?” He asked.
“I don’t know. She has always been the one at the back-to-school nights and such. I do know he has money like he’s rich.” She explained. “I want to help her, but sometimes us teachers can't do much but report to child services. That is if that actually helps, could make the situation worst.” She explained.
Naoya had parked his car in the parking lot of this place. Y/N pushed her phone into her clutch and her eyebrows raised at the food spot. Naoya got out of the car and raced to open the door for Y/N. She chuckled at his actions, “You do not have to rush to open my door.”
Naoya looked at her with the most offended look on his face and Y/N laughed. “Okay, whatever floats your boat.” She says before her head motioning towards the food spot.
“This is my favorite burger spot, like ever!” He says with a cheeky smile.
“Naoya Zenin likes eating cheeseburgers and not expensive rib eye steak, I am shocked.” Y/N sarcastically says.
“You said it yourself that you want to know more about me behind the riches and this is the perfect start of it.” He’s collecting her hand to drag her towards the restaurant.
The two of them were two sore thumbs sticking out in the burger spot as Naoya led her to the familiar table he always sat at when he came in here to eat. Y/B wearing her bright fusion dress and Naoya in his attire that he usually wore to meetings. They gained stares while they were sitting down further in the back, but these stares were different than the ones in the five-star luxury restaurant. Naoya usually had the same thing every time he came in here. A known regular that ate in peace, left a very nice tip, and just left. He found this restaurant as a safe place away from his father, his responsibilities, the women in his life, and so much more. Some days when he would sip on his drink and eat his cheat meal, he’ll even silence his phone just to enjoy the peaceful time of just enjoying a simple meal. But Naoya was opening up this safe space to someone else. A very special someone.
Y/N was so astonished by the atmosphere of the restaurant. The retro 80’s theme the restaurant decided to go by caused her eyes to twinkle with so much excitement that it felt like the woman was turning into one of her overjoyed students. As Naoya was looking at the menu that he had seen one too many times, he could feel someone staring at him. When his brown eyes glanced up from the menu, his eyes met with Y/N’s. She was staring so hard at him as her head was placed on the palm of her hand.
“Is something on my face or something?” Naoya asked.
“No.” She answered. “Thank you.” She responded before her eyes glanced at the menu also.
“For?” Naoya asked.
“Showing me this place. We walked in here and even the cook knew who you were, it seems like this place is very important to you and you’re showing me it. So, thank you.” Y/N answered.
“No need to thank me. I just want you to view me without the riches.”
“I know, so where do we start? Do you have any hobbies you like? Any goals?”
Naoya thought about it for a second, “I have accomplished all the goals that’s been on my list—not to brag or anything. I don’t have any hobbies:”
“That can’t be true,” Y/N says. “Everyone has hobbies, even if it’s a weird one like collecting pens. Or if it’s a provocative one like having sex.”
Naoya’s eyes met her gaze when she said sex. He let his tongue glide across his lips before speaking, “I like sex, but I think I like cars more.”
Y/N chuckles at his statement. Her lip gloss-covered lips parted to speak but a server approached them with a notepad and a smile.
“Should I get you the usual for tonight Mr. Zenin?” The server asked.
“Yes, make it two! My lovely date has never eaten here before and I want to show her that this place has the best burgers in Tokyo,” He smiled at the server and the guy would look over at Y/N.
“He isn’t lying, we won’t disappoint you,” He flashed Y/N a smile that she returned and caused the young man's cheeks to grow red.
“Should we add the signature strawberry milkshakes with it?” The server asked.
“Can we? I have such a sweet tooth,” Y/N perked up and her lips formed a pout at the gentleman across the table.
“Anything for you,” Naoya says as he passes the menus to the server.
“Okay, I’ll be right back with two shakes.”
Now it was just two once again. Y/N leaned forward as if she was interrogating the man. “So you like cars more than sex. That’s a good start. Anything else I should know? Like where do you see yourself in a few years?”
“I want to just have an empire for my family to fall back on. That is if I find the right person to build with,” Naoya explains. “I just want something different from how my family is. Just a chaotic cluster fuck of a mess.” His voice trails off while he leans back into his seat. His thighs spread apart to make himself more comfortable.
“Interesting, you want to be a family man to redeem yourself from your family drama. Noted.” Y/N says. “I want a family of my own also, but not for the same reason. It’s just the thought of being a mom excites me sometimes, I think that’s why I care so much about my students.” She says.
“You’ll make a wonderful mom, I can’t wait to have the honor to name our children.” Naoya joked and he watched Y/N burst into loud obnoxious laughter.
“You’re one confident man, Naoya.”
“I must ask though, why are you single? You’re drop-dead gorgeous, good with children, wonderful personality. I can go on,” Naoya says. “Or do you just not have time for a relationship?”
“Hmm, why would you ask that?” She asks.
“I mean, when I was waiting for you outside your place I noticed one of your neighbors' whole demeanor changed seeing you all dressed up. I think he has a Lil crush on you. Which I’m letting you know now, I’m very competitive.”
“Who? Choso?” Y/N let out a giggle. “If it makes you feel a little uneasy, we’ve slept together once. It got interrupted by his younger brother though and we now don’t talk about it. Like it didn’t even happen.”
“And you’re telling me, it’s no unresolved feelings there?” Naoya questioned.
“It’s not. Plus, if it was—you just said you were competitive right?” Y/N gives him a sly smirk before winking at him.
Naoya wanted to kiss her right then and there. Just claim her as his to prove a point. But their server interrupted them with the food and shakes they ordered. The aroma of ground beef and salty french fries swirled around between the duo as Naoya leaned forward to dig in. The first thing Y/N did was take a sip of the milkshake and she let out the cutest moan. “This is probably the best milkshake I have tried.” She says before she’s nibbling on a fry.
“I told you!” Naoya chuckles.
As the two continued to eat, Naoya couldn’t help but smile hearing Y/N praise the food in front of her. He felt so comfortable at the moment. He wasn’t worried about keeping up an image for anyone. He didn’t have to worry about pretending to care about the names of high-class individuals. He hadn't felt this feeling before and it shocked him that one woman made him feel this way.
“So, we talked about my former flings. Even though I wouldn’t even count Choso as a fling—“
“You two had sex and live next to each other. That’s a fling.”
“Whatever, but I’m not a competitive person when it comes to love. If I don’t have your full attention, I’ll find someone who will give me their attention. So, this Fei woman—what is she to you?”
“Fei is Fei. She’s just there. I can’t technically get rid of her since I’ve known her for so long and according to my father, she’s a good look when she’s on my arm.” Naoya explained.
“But do you like her romantically though?” Y/N head tilted to the side to look at him.
“No. I’m not going to lie to you Y/N, I call her when I want to bust a nut.” Naoya took a bite out of his food.
“Interesting.”
He wasn’t sure if that was a good interesting or bad interesting. Was this what Yuki was talking about when she stated that his mouth lands him in the horrible hot spot during dates?
“How so?” Naoya asked as he sipped his milkshake.
“You need to tell her you’re not interested in her like that,” Y/N commented as she looked at him.
“I have made it known. I ignored her calls, and texts, and even told her myself. She just keeps popping up,” Naoya explained.
“I just don’t want to be stepping on anybody’s toes. I would hate to be seen as a man stealer and not the mysterious woman with the nice ass,” Y/N snickers as she remembered one of the headlines in an article she read.
“You’re not though. I'm as single as can be,” Naoya took a bite from his burger.
Y/N nodded at his words while she took one of her fries and snacked on it. She sipped at her milkshake and she noticed Naoya staring at her. Her eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, “What? I know, I look good tonight but can I have my face back?” She jokingly asked.
Naoya chuckles while leaning forward. His fingers motioned for her to do the same and she did. He brought the pad of his thumb to the corner of her lip wiping away the whipped cream that was on her face. When his thumb touched her skin, he could feel how quickly her skin heated up due to that action. The two of them stared into each other’s not bothering to lean back from their faces being quite close.
“Can I kiss you, Y/N?” Naoya asked.
The woman leaned in closer so that their lips were barely touching each other. “I was going to ask you the same thing.”
Naoya chuckled at her statement before indulging in the taste of her lips. He used his elbows to prompt himself up better just so he could deepen the kiss. It felt like they were the only ones in the room as their lips moved in sync with each other as if they kissed before. If their server didn’t come back to check on them, the two most likely would have been fully making out.
“I’m sorry, I just wanted to make sure you two were okay.” The server couldn’t even make eye contact with either of the duo.
And Naoya couldn’t keep his eyes off of Y/N, but it was her to break the intense stare to respond to their server. “We’re okay, just got caught in the moment. Right, Naoya?” She flashes that heart-wrenching grin at him and his body felt like it went through a heatwave.
“Yeah, we’ll be okay,” Naoya answered.
“Okay, just keep it PG, you two. This is a family restaurant.” The guy smiled at them before going to go check with some other tables.
Both Naoya and Y/N snickered at his comment like two teenagers. Naoya never smiled and laughed as much during a date, hell even during the day (unless he had a joke to upset his father). It caused him to self-reflect on his life all over again. How could one woman bring such an emotion out of him that he felt like he never actually expressed?
The couple was soon wrapping up their date and Naoya felt some form of confidence or should he say accomplishment? The date went way better than he expected. He snagged a kiss from Y/N and she haven’t stopped smiling since they entered the food spot. He watched as Y/N was talking to the owner about possibly catering an event at the school she worked at. She had Naoya’s suit jacket tugged around her shoulders so proudly and Naoya could get used to seeing that regularly. Eventually, she shared her farewells with the owner and thanked him for the meal before skipping toward Naoya who was waiting by the door.
“Your neighbor did say return you home safely, so you’re ready?” He asked.
“Yup, Y/N says while grabbing a hold of his arm to leave the now safe space that they could share.
It took many things to tick Naoya off. He hated when his assistant didn’t file his files in alphabetical order. He hated when someone drove recklessly near his nice car. But nothing ticked him off more than paparazzi, he hated the paparazzi. He didn’t understand how a person could be so good with a camera and woke up and chose a job to follow people with said cameras. He wasn’t sure who tipped off the annoying paparazzi, but as soon as Y/N and himself left the first thing that blinded their view was the bright flashing lights of cameras.
He could feel the grip Y/N had on his arm get tighter and Naoya was close to seeing red. Similar to a bull that was getting toyed with as a red flag was dangled in its face, Naoya’s protective hold only brought her closer as he pushed through the mob of paparazzi. He’s uttering profanity words and harshly mushing people out of the way. However, he felt Y/N stumble just a bit and his brown-colored eyes snapped to look to see who caused her to stumble back. When Naoya saw one paparazzi trying to apologize, he snapped.
He didn’t know what happened in a matter of seconds, but soon he could feel his fist colliding right on the guy’s face. One punch after another until he saw red. Was it his vision or was it the blood coming out of the guy’s nose? Naoya had no clue until he could feel Y/N pleading for him to stop. When he stopped, he glanced around him and the cameras were still flashing. They gave him and Y/N space, but they were eating up the outburst that he just unfolded in front of them. His fist was stained with blood that didn’t belong to him and he just fixed his outfit, grabbed Y/N’s hand, and walked towards the car.
Naoya still had the common courtesy to open her door for her and close it. When he got into the car, he didn’t know what to say. A date that was going so well, changed so quickly because of some silly paparazzi. His nerves were getting the best of him and he could tell by how his hands were shaking as he was grasping at the steering wheel.
“Thank you,” Y/N says as she was looking out the window.
“I should be apologizing for my behavior. I don’t deserve a ‘thank you’ for ruining our date.” Naoya said as he was attempting to return her home as soon as possible due to the embarrassment.
“I don’t know why you would feel embarrassed, you defended me,” Y/N says with a smile. “Like the prince in that silly book my students love so much.”
Naoya chuckled at her statement. His skin still felt hot from the anger that clouded his judgment, but her comment caused him to relax in the driver’s seat. The remaining ride to her house was filled with silence. Although, Naoya couldn’t tell if it was an uncomfortable silence or not. Even with Y/N’s comment, he still could feel that something else was bothering her.
As he parked in front of her home, he went to get out of the car to open her door. Y/N grabbed a hold of his arm to stop him, “You’ve done enough for me tonight, I think I can open my own door.” She says.
She climbed out of the car and glanced back at him.
“I would love to do this again Naoya.”
“Really? Even though—“
“Minus the paparazzi, of course. But you’re a nice person and I enjoyed seeing this side of you.”
And with that he watched the woman walk towards her apartment complex, once he saw her disappear behind her front door—he let out a deep sigh. He couldn’t even sit to bask in his thoughts before he could hear his text message notifications going off every second. Each text message was from his father. From ranting about his behavior to Y/N, and so much more.
He could feel that this lifestyle he was born in could push the woman away because the side that she saw tonight was always trapped away behind the luxury, glamour, and money.
Naoya Zenin will always be Naoya Zenin.

“You really think they’re ready for that kind of designation?” Todo said. You and him were sitting across from one another in some cafe or another, each sipping on your own drinks. You nodded.
“Gojo agrees. He’s the one who mentioned it, actually, and of course he would never force me to give a recommendation if I didn’t believe it was earned, but in my opinion, those seven have definitely earned it,” you said.
“The Zenins will have something to say about it,” Todo said.
“Since when have either of us ever cared about what the Zenins say?” you said, arching a brow at him. Todo chuckled, taking a bite out of the pastry he had ordered and chewing contemplatively.
“That’s true,” he said. “Alright, then. I’ll trust your judgment as always. When should we go?”
“Later,” you said. “The thought of going to headquarters right now is giving me a migraine. Besides, I have some errands to run and things to do in the meanwhile; I just wanted to check in with you and make sure that you were on board with the idea.”
“What would you have done if I wasn’t?” Todo said.
“I don’t really know. Gojo couldn’t give his recommendation as he’s a teacher, and Yuta’s overseas, so he couldn’t, either. I suppose we might’ve had to pay Mei Mei or tried to convince Nanami, but I’m pretty sure Nanami regrets giving us his recommendation, so I doubt he’d do it again,” you said.
“What, does he think we’re weak or something?” Todo said, clearly fired up at the perceived insult. Immediately, you shook your head.
“No, not at all. He acknowledges our strength — it’s just that he feels bad putting so much responsibility on the shoulders of two children, or at least that’s the vibe I was getting,” you said.
“That does make a bit more sense, but he’s being optimistic if he thinks childhood excludes us from the reality of this world,” he said.
“It’s his viewpoint, so I won’t try to argue for or against it,” you said. “Worst case, we would’ve called Kaito.”
Todo made a face. “Good thing it didn’t come to that.”
Kaito Hinode was Tullia’s cousin, and the reason she had even come to Japan in the first place. Although he was definitely handsome, and talented enough as a sorcerer, those two qualities were about all he had going for him. He was widely known throughout jujutsu society for being air-headed and scatterbrained, and he was reckless to boot, always somehow ending up in your family’s manor getting healed. Though he would definitely give his recommendation if you asked, the higher ups usually did not take him very seriously despite allowing him to be a Grade 1 sorcerer — in fact, the only reason it had been alright that he had been one of the ones to recommend you and Todo was because the other was the levelheaded Nanami, who even the higher ups had a begrudging respect for.
“Exactly,” you said. “It’s for the best that you agreed to it, especially because now it won’t just seem like favoritism or Gojo and I just promoting the people we like for no reason.”
“I don’t think the higher ups would’ve thought that either way. Like it or not, recommending your friends for Grade 1 status puts them in more danger, and you aren’t the kind of person that would do that unless you were absolutely sure they could handle it. Maybe they wouldn’t put it past Gojo, but everyone knows how much you love your friends,” Todo said.
“That’s true enough,” you said.
“What errands are you running today, then?” Todo said. You drew up a mental list of the things you had to do before you responded, already annoyed just at the thought of some of them.
“First, I have to visit the Zenin clan,” you said.
“What? Why would you ever put yourself through that?” he said. You gave him a look.
“You know that they have to be made aware of Maki and Megumi getting promoted, right? It’s better if I go than you, so don’t worry. I’m used to how they operate, so I’ll make sure there isn’t an issue with it. It’ll be more like a formal notice than a request for permission,” you said. Todo frowned.
“Just be careful, and don’t hesitate to call me for help if you need it. I’m not really doing anything much today, so I’ll be there in a flash if I hear that they’re bothering you,” he said.
“Thanks, Todo. It shouldn’t be a problem; the Zenins know to tread carefully around me. Naoya’s suspension was only lifted recently, and they’re all aware of the fact that I have the Kamos, L/Ns, and Gojos on my side,” you said. “It wouldn’t be to their advantage to outright hurt me. Now, I’m sure they’ll argue about what I’m going to tell them, but that’s to be expected.”
“I always forget that my rival is a child of nepotism,” Todo said. “Or maybe it’s that I purposefully try to not think about it. It’s the most boring thing about you, you know.”
“I don’t know if calling an inherited technique ‘nepotism’ is exactly right, but you could look at it that way, sure,” you said. “Anyways, after dealing with the Zenins, I’m going to go get some new curtains for my room. I’m bored with the ones I have right now.”
“I’d offer to help with that, too, but I doubt you’d want my help with interior design,” Todo said. “Even if I am really skilled at it.”
“Right, I think I’m good, but thanks for the offer,” you said. You actually didn’t doubt that Todo had an eye for interior design, as he seemed like the type who would, but you had this sense that your tastes differed in some ways, so it’d probably be for the best if you left him behind this time.
“Since you have so much to do, you should probably get going, huh?” he said. “Like I told you, I’ll keep my phone on. The instant you call, I’ll be there.”
“Thank you, Todo,” you said. “I promise that if I need something while I’m at the Zenin manor, you’ll be the third person I reach out to.”
“The third?” he said, scandalized. You placed your hands on his shoulders.
“The first would obviously be Gojo, and the second would be Noritoshi, both of whom would be much better suited to dealing with clan politics than you. If they’re both busy, then I’ll be certain to ring you,” you said. He knocked your hands away with a huff.
“I see how it is,” he said.
“Don’t be too offended. I like you better for not being born a clan heir,” you said.
“Your attempts to save face are not working,” he said.
“Maybe I should leave before I shove my foot further into my mouth, then,” you said. “See you around. I'll text you to come pick me up when it’s time to go to headquarters.”
“See you then, Y/N,” he said.
The Zenin mansion was a technically beautiful building. You had to admit this much, even though you hated the clan and everything they stood for — they had the aesthetic of a wealthy family down. They were not as extravagant as the Gojos, who had everything in excess, but neither were they as traditional and austere as the Kamos, who adhered to the thoughts and practices of their forebears rather strictly. It was something in between, a kind of class that was borne from a mixture of opulence and convention.
The gate did not squeal at all when you opened it, stepping into the courtyard of the massive home. Soft pink flowers dusted from a towering tree, the petals dancing in the breeze and giving an ethereal quality to the atmosphere. Somewhere, someone was playing the piano, and it was the most beautiful song you had ever heard, a mournful tune that floated out through an open window and tangled with the blossoms as they fell.
“Y/N L/N,” a stern voice said. You blinked, breaking out of your daze and finding yourself face to face with a man you knew to be Ogi Zenin — as in, the father of your best friend, Maki. “What business do you have here?”
“I come as a courtesy to the Zenins. However, my business is with Naobito, not you,” you said. Ogi did not seem like he was inclined to believe you, crossing his arms.
“Naobito is the head of the Zenin clan. He does not have the time nor the will to deal with a L/N grunt like you,” he said.
“L/N grunt?” you repeated. “It’s ironic of you to call me that when I’m a Grade 1 sorcerer, and the girl who brought someone back to life. In fact, I’d actually argue that I’m exactly the sort of person that Naobito would want to deal with.”
“Whether you’ve done all of that or not is irrelevant. You’re still a nobody in your clan, and nobodies don’t have the status required to meet with clan heads,” he said, moving to close the door on your face. “Is that all?”
“Wait!” you said. If you didn’t get this audience with Naobito, then you wouldn’t be able to recommend Maki and Megumi. It was one of those ridiculous rules that was stopping the promotion you were trying so desperately to give, and maybe Ogi understood why you were there, maybe that was why he was behaving in this way, but you refused to back down. The Zenins had ruined Maki’s life enough already, and you would not let them continue on in such a manner. “The piano. Take me to the person who is playing the piano.”
“The piano? Are you certain?” Ogi said, and now he seemed apprehensive in a way he had not before.
“Yes,” you said. “I know this piece; it is a difficult one, and yet they play it flawlessly. I want to give them my compliments.”
Ogi furrowed his brow, but he exhaled heavily, beckoning you in and bidding you follow him. You did so at once, not wanting to squander the opportunity you had been given. It was your hope that whoever was playing the piano would be a bit more agreeable than Ogi and would at least take you to Naobito, who you could then argue with until he accepted your words.
“Don’t think that this will go how you want it to,” Ogi warned as you reached the room where the music was originating from. “I know what you’re planning, but it won’t work.”
“I’m not planning anything,” you said. “You can just think of me as a music lover.”
Ogi slid the door open. “Tell that to him.”
The song abruptly stopped, and your eyebrows shot up involuntarily when you saw who had been playing. He looked confused, standing up as if to reprimand whoever had interrupted him, but when he saw you standing beside Ogi, a sly smirk formed on his face, his fox-like eyes gleaming.
“Well, well, well,” Naoya said, crossing his arms. “To what do I owe the pleasure of the L/N girl paying a visit to my study?”
“She wanted to pay you her compliments for your musical skill,” Ogi said, clearly amused at your obvious horror. This was, quite literally, the absolutely worst way things could have gone. You had been planning on avoiding Naoya for the entire visit, but yet here you were, standing at the doorway of his study, with him as your only hope at getting to meet Naobito Zenin.
“Is that so?” Naoya said, curling his index finger at you. “Well, you can hardly praise me from there, can you? Come inside, little L/N. You can leave us, uncle. I’d like to hear these compliments alone.”
“Certainly,” Ogi said, shutting the door behind you with a finality as you stepped inside with all the mechanical jerkiness of a wind-up toy. Naoya sat back down on the stool, resting his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands, peering up at you as if he were some kind of pillar of innocence.
“So, then? I’m excited. Did you really like my piano playing that much?” he said.
“You’re certainly better at piano than sorcery,” you said through gritted teeth. “Though that’s not really saying a lot.”
“You are so beautiful, and yet you say such crude things,” Naoya said, sighing and leaning back against the window. “It’s such a shame. I’d like you more if you kept your mouth shut more often.”
“I’m not exactly here to please you. I have to meet your father,” you said.
“And here I thought you were so fond of me for saving you after that snake curse almost killed you,” he said sardonically. “It’s not a surprise that you’re not here for me. I didn’t think you would be.”
All semblance of the gentler facade vanished without a trace, and he became the Naoya you were accustomed to — harsh, brash, arrogant, blunt, and rude. You scowled at him. He scowled back, though it was infuriatingly mocking instead of angry, like he found your irritation entertaining.
“You’re still proud of yourself for that?” you said.
“I consider it my greatest achievement,” he shot back. “I’ve thought about making that picture my home screen so I can be reminded of it every day.”
“You’re a freak,” you said.
“And you’re a girl,” he said.
“That’s not an insult, so I don’t know why you’ve framed it as one,” you said.
“The fact that you don’t realize it’s an insult only further proves your simplicity,” he said.
“Will you take me to meet your father or not?” you said. Naoya pretended to contemplate this, hemming and hawing like he hadn’t made a decision before you even asked the question.
“No,” he said. “After all, what’s in it for me? Unless you can offer me something worthwhile in exchange, that is, because if you can, then I’ll definitely oblige.”
“What do you want?” you said. For him to be making that kind of request suggested that he already had some kind of payment in mind, and furthermore, knowing Naoya, that payment wasn’t something you’d really want to give him.
“I want to marry you,” he said. “And no, it’s not because I like you, so don’t get the wrong idea in your head. On the whole, I think you’re far too stubborn and don’t accept your place in society, so you’d likely make a shitty wife, but at the end of the day, I want to be the next head of the Zenin clan, and for me to do that, to beat out the rest of my family for the title, I need something big by my side. Something like the backing of the L/Ns. Something like a wife who’s brought a man back to life.”
“Even if I would agree to that kind of an unfair exchange — which, by the way, I wouldn’t — who I marry isn’t up to me to decide. You must’ve forgotten, but I’m already engaged to Noritoshi, so I can’t just say yes to this kind of proposal and be done with the affair. I wouldn’t dare incur the wrath of the Kamos like that,” you said.
“The Zenins would protect you. You forget that the Kamos need the L/Ns in order to stay relevant, just like the L/Ns need the Kamos in order to elevate their status. You’re the key to it all, Y/N, the one who can shift the balance between the clans,” he said. It was the first time he had ever said your name. You hoped he would never say it again. Even if being referred to as the L/N girl was degrading, your name was your own, something that you were loath to share with someone like him.
“I’m not some kind of key,” you said. “I’m just an ordinary sorcerer. I don’t know why the clans are so invested in what I do or who I marry. Bringing someone back to life was a one-time thing, and even though I am so talented with Composition, it’s reliant on somebody else’s power, so I’d say it barely even counts. Besides, it’s not a guarantee that any children I have will inherit Dissection and Composition from me, so I don’t know why any of you think that that’s a certainty.”
“It’s not a certainty, but there’s definitely a high chance that they will,” Naoya said. “Look, those are my terms. Say you’ll marry me, and I’ll let you meet my father. It’s the only chance you’ll get to talk to him, so make a decision quickly and be done with it.”
“What do you think Gojo will say if he finds out about this?” you said. Mentioning Gojo’s name was a surefire way to get the clans off your back when they were irritating you too much — though they didn’t love him, they had to respect him, as he was the sole representative of the Gojo clan and also the strongest sorcerer of the time.
“He might not be pleased, but haven’t you noticed that despite being under his wing, you’re still engaged to Noritoshi? Do you think he’d do anything if that engagement was transferred to me, instead?” he said.
“Yes, because he knows I don’t like you,” you said. “Everyone knows it. You think the higher ups won’t be suspicious that you’re marrying a girl that got you suspended from sorcery? It won’t ensure your place as clan head. It’ll just make you look like an idiot.”
“Fine, then,” he said. “Don’t marry me. Do something else for me in return.”
“What?” you said, trying not to sound too eager. Almost anything was better than marriage to Naoya; though it was definitely a beneficial union for him, it was the opposite for you. If you had to marry someone in one of the Big Three clans, then you were perfectly happy with Noritoshi, who was content with letting you do as you pleased and actually treated you like an equal and friend instead of a servant.
“Come listen to me play the piano again someday,” he said. “And actually say something heartfelt about it when you do.”
You were sure that in the meantime, he’d try his very best to convince your parents to let you marry him instead of Noritoshi, citing this future meeting as proof that you liked him, too. But this was not a big deal for you — you’d protest vehemently if your parents tried to dissolve your engagement with Noritoshi, and if they went ahead with it regardless, then you really would run away to live with Gojo. Anyways, the L/Ns were a passive clan, so they likely wouldn’t go back on an agreement with the Kamos for fear of a retaliation that they could not handle.
“Sure,” you said. “You should probably practice a bit more if you want what I say to be kind, though.”
“You just want to have the last word,” Naoya observed. “I’m the best pianist in the Zenin clan.”
He was right, but you weren’t about to tell him that. Unfortunately, you had never heard someone play the piano with as much skill as him, so there wasn’t much to critique in that area, but you would rather die than say something nice to Naoya Zenin, so you didn’t mention that, either.
“Now that you’ve gotten your promise of payment, take me to your father,” you said. Naoya stood gamely, offering you his arm. You sneered at it in disgust, and he rolled his eyes before lowering it.
“I suppose that that would be expecting too much out of you. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stay three steps behind me. I don’t know what the L/Ns have taught you, but in the Zenin household, that’s what’s customary for women, and you’re no exception,” he said.
You suppressed the urge to imitate his smarmy words and way of speaking, deciding that there was no point in it when you had already just barely convinced him to give you an audience with his father. Instead, you made sure to stomp your feet as you stayed the ‘customary three paces’ behind him, sounding quite a bit like a petulant child but having no other way to express your disdain for the arrangement.
“Here we are,” Naoya said. “I’ll see you soon, little L/N.”
“Not too soon,” you said, shouldering past him so that you could make your way into the room where Naobito Zenin was reclining, downing something alcoholic that spilled past the corners of his mouth and dripped onto the floor. The scent of his drink filled the room, and for an entire minute, you stood in front of him and waited for him to put it down and notice your presence.
“Who let you in here?” he said after a bit, using the back of his hand to wipe at his face and gazing up at you groggily, blinking slowly and squinting like the light from the window behind you was too harsh. “Huh? Y/N L/N? How’d you come in?”
“That’s not what you should be concerned with. Rather, it is the purpose of my visit that is of import. Have you guessed it yet?” you said. Naobito coughed. You did not flinch.
“You want to promote that girl,” he said.
“Maki,” you said. “That’s correct. Today, in the evening, I will be one of the two sorcerers giving her and Megumi their initial recommendations. The rules dictate that you be made aware of both.”
“Megumi Fushiguro, eh? That’s fine. He has the Ten Shadows, so it’s a wonder it took so long for him to get the recommendations in the first place,” Naobito said.
“You’re going to try and stop me from recommending Maki though, aren’t you?” you guessed.
“How’d you find another Grade 1 willing to recommend her? She’s not particularly strong, so why would she get promoted in the first place?” he said.
“You weren’t there for the most recent exchange event, so I’ll forgive you for your ignorance, but the truth is that Maki’s gone toe to toe with a special grade curse already. Even if she didn’t win, just being able to fight back against something of that magnitude is clear evidence that she’s deserving of the status,” you said.
“She doesn’t even have a cursed technique,” Naobito said. You exhaled, pinching the bridge of your nose to ward off your coming headache. This was why you hated dealing with the higher ups — they were the most ridiculously traditional people to ever exist on the face of the earth.
“I didn’t want to do this, but since you insist on being difficult, I’ll remind you: Maki is my best friend, and she is Satoru Gojo’s pupil. Consequently, she has the support of the L/Ns and the Gojos. Do you think that continuing to block her promotion will end up well for you? At the end of the day, no matter how self-sufficient the Zenins are, none of them can heal. You can isolate yourselves if you choose, but without the help of the L/Ns or Shoko Ieri, all of you will eventually die in the war against curses,” you said.
“And do you speak for the L/Ns, girl?” Naobito said. “They don’t even respect you. You think that some ‘administrative delay’ stopped them from coming during the exchange event? Don’t be ridiculous. The Kamo boy was injured, so there’s not a soul alive that would’ve stopped them from going to that school if they wanted to.”
“What?” you said, your blood going cold. Naobito wheezed out a laugh.
“You are naive, aren’t you? Your father was the one who said that the L/Ns wouldn’t come to help,” he said.
“Why would he do that?” you said. Naobito shrugged lazily, tossing the now empty pitcher at the wall. It shattered with a deafening crash, clay shards flying everywhere. To punctuate it, Naobito burped.
“I dunno. I’ve never understood the ways of you L/Ns. You’d have to ask him yourself,” he said.
“I don’t have the time to go to the manor just to talk to him,” you said. “I have things to do. Sorcerers to recommend.”
“You’re still going on about that?” Naobito said. “Fine. I give you my permission. Go ahead and recommend Maki. It’s not like you’ll be the one supervising her, anyways. I’ll ensure it’s only ever members of my clan that take her on the missions; see if she becomes a Grade 1 then!”
“She’ll prove you wrong,” you said. “Do you understand that? She’s stronger than you realize. She’ll become a Grade 1 sorcerer in spite of what you’re doing here.”
“You both make a foolish pair,” he said. “Two girls that think they can face the clans and win.”
“Maybe I’ll never be anything more than a puppet,” you allowed. “But not her. She’s the one who will break free from all of this. She’s the one who will take you down.”
“Maki Zenin has all the strength of a flyhead,” Naobito said.
“Then I wonder how weak that must make you,” you said with a bow. “Good day, sir. Thank you for your compliance. I will report to the higher ups at once.”
Todo pulled up to the department store you were shopping for curtains at in good time. He took your bags from you and put them in the trunk, and then he opened the door to the passenger seat before ensuring you were buckled up and your phone was connected to the Bluetooth radio so you could play music. Only then did he begin to drive towards the jujutsu headquarters, singing along to whatever songs you put on in his surprisingly melodic voice.
“By the way, Todo, are you really sure you’re okay with this?” you said. He paused mid-high-note, giving you a confused look.
“Of course I am! I want my brother to get the recognition he deserves,” he said. “And it’ll be fun to accompany him on his missions. Getting the chance to watch him continue to learn and improve, taking part in the improvement…it’ll be a rush for sure!”
“Huh? Wait, Todo, don’t you remember—”
“I know what you’re going to say,” he said, cutting you off. “There’s a chance I might not be the one who’s assigned as his supervisor. Well, let me tell you something here and now: Yuji Itadori and I are meant to be together! He is more than just my best friend, he is my brother, and that’s a bond you’ll never understand. Us being together on our missions…why, it’s just destiny!”
“Um, actually, it’s not. Like I was saying, don’t you remember that recommenders can’t also be supervisors? That’s why Nanami and Kaito weren’t able to supervise us on our missions, and why Naoya had to step in at one point — due to the lack of Grade 1 sorcerers as a whole. We won’t be able to accompany any of them on missions, at least not on ones directly related to their promotions,” you said.
Todo slammed on the brakes, which prompted several honks from the cars behind him that had obviously not been expecting the abrupt stop.
“What?”
Walking through jujutsu headquarters with Todo beside you reminded you of the summertime, of the many missions you had had to take in order to reach full Grade 1 status. It was nostalgic in a way, and then as you walked towards the main office, you remembered what it had been like when Nanami and Kaito had given you their recommendations. Elbowing Todo, who was still grieving the news that he couldn’t supervise Itadori, you grinned up at him.
“Can you believe it? Not so long ago, we were the ones getting recommended,” you said.
“The start of our rivalry, huh? Well, I guess that was the exchange event, but I’d argue that being recommended at the same time cemented it,” he said, cheering up slightly. You weren’t sure if the setting sun was making the memories softer, but for some reason, you felt particularly fond at the moment, thinking back to those times.
“Now we’re the ones giving recommendations,” you said. “It’s crazy how far we’ve come. It’s only been about a year or so since I even became a sorcerer, and now I’m a Grade 1. You know, before joining the school, I was really unhappy.”
“You were?” he said.
“Of course I was. I was considered the failure of my clan, a girl who couldn’t even heal a papercut. I spent my time locked away in my room, told that the only thing I could ever amount to was a dutiful wife for a clan head. But what kind of an existence is that? Becoming a sorcerer was the first time I did something for myself. I took control of my life, and look at where that’s landed me! I can use Composition now, I’ve even revived someone with it, and I’m a first class sorcerer, as well,” you said. “I didn’t realize how wonderful it could be to be my own person, but now I’m so glad I got that chance.”
“I’m glad, too,” Todo said. “After all, I’d never be as strong as I am now without your advice and our rivalry to push me forwards!”
“You know what? I don’t even want to know what you mean when you refer to the advice I give you. I think I’ll never understand it, but I’m fine with that,” you said, finally giving up for good on trying to comprehend Todo’s method. “Let’s go and deal with some dusty old men now, shall we?”
“After you,” he said, opening the door and motioning for you to enter. Once, you would’ve been apprehensive, but now you walked in with confidence, your chin held high and your back straight, your strides even and measured. You were meant to be there. You weren’t an imposter. You were deserving of your place in this society.
“Y/N L/N and Aoi Todo,” Principal Gakuganji said. “The two of you understand better than anyone what it means to be Grade 1 sorcerers. Yet you still believe you should go ahead with this?”
“Yes,” Todo said from beside you, no longer his goofy self but every bit the proud and strong sorcerer that one would expect someone of his appointment to be. “We believe we should.”
“The Zenins will never allow her to be promoted,” Principal Gakuganji said. You smiled politely at him, though your every word had daggers behind it when you spoke.
“I already received permission from Naobito Zenin, so that’s not a problem. They’re fine with us giving her and Megumi our recommendations,” you said. “You can’t argue with this, sir. You saw them at the event, and you heard about their performances against the special grade curse that hijacked the team challenge. All of them deserve the promotion.”
“Grade 1 sorcerers are top of the line. They are the peak of sorcery, bar the special grades of course. You understand that?” Principal Gakuganji stressed. You and Todo exchanged looks before nodding. “They are meant to be the leaders amongst other sorcerers. Think over that carefully, and then repeat what you just said to me.”
“There’s no need to think about it,” you said.
“Absolutely none,” Todo agreed.
“Maki Zenin,” you began. “Elakshi Sakhare. Tullia Ferraro. Panda.”
“Nobara Kugisaki. Megumi Fushiguro,” Todo added, “and my brother, Itadori Yuji.”
“These are the seven that I, by my name as Y/N L/N —”
“And I, by my name as Aoi Todo —”
“Recommend for grade 1 sorcerer status.”

Another Level: Playlist Reveal
hiiiiiii, this is also a song for Physical Paradox, but I'm just thinking about Another Level right now and how cute this song is for them: Family - The Chainsmokers, Kygo
I know water that's deeper than blood
Honestly? Rinko hasn't had blood family since Yuzuki died, not really. The Zenins always treated her like shit, and Naoya was obviously a little shit since he stabbed her when they were teenagers. (She also kinda, ya know, killed him. But to be fair, it was self-defense. Also, did you notice that she killed him almost exactly thirteen years after he stabbed her?)
But Nanami was her brother. She loved him so dearly, and he loved her. He cared about her so much. He would never tell her directly, but she knew that she was one of his favorite people, just like he was one of hers. Their bond is so strong that no matter what AU they're in, they'll always be close. It's impossible for them to not be.
I know some people, they would die for me We run together, they're my family When I get up, they gon' be high with me I'll say, "Forever, my family"
She'll be keeping Nanami's sword forever, by the way. She's never getting rid of it.
The kids? Technically she does share blood with Megumi and Maki, and even though they're cousins, they both admit she raised them more than anyone else really did. Yuuta? He is her son. Blood or not. Toge? Obviously her son. Yuuji? Also her son now. Nobara? Not as close yet, but she's her child. I said in a comment on Anything But Boring that if you are a child and you talk to Rinko more than once, she unconsciously adopts you. Paperwork filed and signed. No questions 😂 Especially now that she will be taking over as Tokyo Tech's principal, this is just how she'll adopt all the children.
Speaking of principal, Yaga was a father figure to her. A better one than Gakuganji was in many situations, but Gakuganji has also been a father figure, albeit a shitty one most of the time.
But mostly? Gojo. Gojo has been her family longer than either of them would admit. But she became one of the most important people in his life as soon as he gave her a key to his condo, and he's been one of the most important people in her life since he showed up at her mother's funeral, and then later at her mother's grave so that she wasn't alone on her birthday.
Also, did you guys notice the parallel of New Memories and I'll Take Care of Her? Both were on Rinko's birthday, just seven years apart.
Stolen dreams took our Our childish days, still Ain't nothing changed now we're grown We're still young, still got Our mindless ways
If this ain't Gojo. And honestly? It's Rinko, and it'll be the kids, too. Their childhoods were stolen from them. But Gojo and Rinko are still going to try to make sure they get to have a bit of fun as kids. And that they have people in their lives they know care about them and love them and watch over them.
But yeah, this is Rinko's lil crazy as fuck family that she loves more than anything, and she will literally kill for them. 🥹
Just like she killed Sukuna 🙃😂

Forever Rains
Toji Fushiguro x Reader
Warning: Dark content ahead. It contains a lot of angst, death, reincarnation and comfort. So read only if you are comfortable.
Tumblr media
As the sun went down and the skies got darker, you walked on the lonely road, rain drenching your clothes and your bicycle as you walked with it by your side, too tired to ride it home. College life was always tiring especially today. You remembered all the sweet moments you spent with him as you walked endlessly in the lonely night. By now the city lights were shimmering and the cars were moving on road, just like you, tired passengers living their tired lives. Something about the evening and the shimmering city lights in the rain was just so beautiful, that you couldn't help but pause for a moment and watch as the rain trickled down the trees and the lamp posts. This city made you feel better and lively but there were times that you were empty inside, still it somehow helped you to overcome it, in it's own way. Your eyes stared blankly at the road ahead, as they had long lost their light. What happened today was something you never expected to occur. It broke your heart a millions of times over and over again as you kept remembering the same scene, as it played like a broken record in your head. You just pondered on what you did wrong.
You didn't feel like going home, but you still needed to, because you'll only end up getting scolded for being late. Either ways you didn't really had a place to go anyway. The park beside your house was your comfort spot, you could be there alone at night, but as now it was twilight you were damn sure that it will be buzzing with people and children at this hour, so you avoided it.
Climbing the stairs to your house was even more difficult, as you didn't wanted to face your family now, being emotionally exhausted and on top of that your parents just complain about everything, it's really exhausting, but still life goes on. You opened the door and entered the house, slightly greeting your parents. After dinner you immediately went to your room saying that you have an assignment, but that was just an excuse, as you really needed to get things of your chest.
Your dimly lit room welcomed you, soon enough you felt like home because it was the only place where you could be yourself, without being disturbed for quite some time. As you opened the window and curtains to let the fresh air in, your heavy eyes drifted off to your photo. It was your photo with Toji, you had taken it on the day of summer festival last year. He looked happy in it or so you had thought.
Toji was your college bully, but he soon had warmed up to you, saying that you were the sweetest person he ever met. For the time being you two were good friends. You had promised yourself, not to fall for that man, but what could you do but fall for him as he treated you in the sweetest possible manner which you had never experienced before.
Today for the first time in a while, Toji shouted at you, saying that you were nothing but a clingy pest to him which he needed to impress for a bet and that he loved the girl which had known him probably for longer than you did, basically you didn't stand a chance against her. And this had broken you and your heart in a million pieces. Never in your dreams had you imagined that this sweet boy was capable of doing something this dangerous. You felt petty for beileving his lies. He sprouted many things like, how ugly you are, or how he just wanted to get away from you every single time you two were close or how stupid you were to think that the member of Zenin clan can ever love you?? But the insult that hurted a lot was the one when he said, " You were just a bet, a plaything for me to earn money." And that was when you lost it, slapping him hard across the face you said, " Then I am happy to finally leave you alone. Goodbye." Saying this you turned around and left, without glancing at behind to see his reaction, maybe if you did, you would have spilled those tears that you struggled so hard to hold back.
You wanted to believe that whatever he said was just because of the pressure from his peers, but his cold eyes said otherwise. You still loved him though, it was something you couldn't control, but it wasn't a problem to let him go, as you knew, you deserve better. You would hold onto his memory forever, since he was the only person you ever felt close to, related to, someone who could finally understand you., but you knew better than anyone else that he didn't needed you, nor cared for you. Sometimes you still wonder, was all that just an act, because you surely had seen the lights sparkle in his eyes as he talked to you every time. You wondered, did he ever regreted it?? But who were you to think about something he should have told you, if he really did regret it. You didn't mind letting him go as he was the only one you ever cared for loved, so you had wished him luck even though he had wished you to disappear from his life, and you did just that. Even after all these years you still loved him and couldn't find someone to complete you like he did, maybe you'll stay single forever, who knows??
As Toji started at his wife, he wondered, how good it would have been if it was you in that place instead. He deeply regreted saying all those things that day, as he was under the pressure for Zenin clan to let you go as well as the temporary attraction which he thought was love that he felt for that girl. He deeply regreted saying all those things that day, infact he had regretted that very instant, when he saw tears sting in your eyes, trickling to fall down, he hated himself for that. He just wished that he could have stayed longer by your side as you stared at the fireworks at summer festival and many such mesmerizing moments. As he stated at his wife taking care of Megumi, he thought of you, he thought of you when he saw her cooking him dinner, he thought of you when he slept beside her, staring at her face, wondering how beautiful you would have looked in his arms. He knew too well by now that his wife was no less than a demon as she had influenced him to break you apart.
When his wife died due to illness, he thought that maybe now he can confess the heavy guilt and love that he always harboured towards you. But when he came to your address just to see the cremation ashes of you on the table and your photo, he cried for the first time in his life. Confessing to his every sin of hurting you,but you had long forgiven him. He didn't stop crying, until your younger sister handed him a diary, it was your diary. He sobbed, as he took it and returned home. When he read your diary, he cried even harder as he felt you gently embrace him by your words. He came to know what he had missed all along, and that you had never stopped loving him all this time. As he cried himself to sleep that night, with your unbearably sweet memories, he dreamth of you. You both were in a wheat field on a sunny day and he felt as if time had stopped, you looked ethereal in his eyes. As he moved towards you, you gently hugged him saying,"I have forgiven you a long time ago, Toji. I just missed you all along, I am glad that you atleast came today. I am glad that I could say goodbye to you atleast in this way. Don't blame yourself and live your life to the fullest, Toji, as I have always loved you." Toji couldn't utter a word as he sobbed and sobbed in your arms and woke up next morning, wishing that not in this but atleast in his next life you will be his partner and he would make up to you for all his mistakes. He wished for a second chance to feel you, to hold you in his arms again, but the morning sun, reminded him of his cold reality. Maybe just like you, he too would spend his remaining life thinking of you as you did too when he wasn't there, hoping to meet you someday, somewhere.
Centuries later, when you looked at the soaked boy in front of you, standing in rain, your heart skipped a beat, giving you a sense of deja vu. As Toji made his way towards you, his heart pounding, he didn't know what was this weird feeling, but he wanted to make you his and only his this time. He smacked his lips on yours sealing a promise from long ago, to be yours, to cherish you and eventually to follow you to your grave when the time comes. This time around he was sure that he won't let you go, he won't let you be alone in this rain as he will get soaked in it together with you this time around. He or you didn't remember about your past, but the heart remembers the person, as you finally had found your long lost soulmate, in the your next life. Wiping his soaked hair you pulled him closer, in the warmth of your embrace as if you had longed for it all along. As you two made your way home, thinking how lucky you are right now, being beside each other, blissfully unaware of your tragic past but you both knew for certain that these longings you feel for each other are something from a long long ago.

Trivia
- Despite the name of her domain, it is NOT a lethal domain; the name refers to the abilities of the domain, which can be deadly if she gets lucky and is able to maintain the opponent there long enough.
- She has selective mutism, which is believed to be a result of the oppression and generational trauma she suffered from the Zenin clan.
- She smokes when things get overly tense/stressful or when she is too anxious.
- She has two names: The one she was given at birth by her parents and family and the name she picked herself after abandoning the clan.
The name Jiyū was chosen for its meaning, which is freedom/liberty; she admits that one of the reasons why she picked such name was to provoke and mock the Zenin clan.
- She has this weird habit of start talking about conspiracy theories out of nowhere, especially when she is with people she sees as close friends.
- Just like her brothers she is very good at physical combat, it apparently runs in their blood.
- Her reputation is not the best; she mostly enjoys working alone and only follows rules when she agrees with them or when they benefit her.
- After an incident where she was framed by Geto’s Family, she gets accused of being a curse user by her then good friend, Utahime Iori, but Jiyū and most of the Tokyo Jujutsu High don’t agree with that claim.
