For the Pokémon post

It looks nice of Maxwell, Sam and Cheddars as different Pokémon. But normally a lot of people like Fennekin. Especially my friend, Nate. And with More Pokémon gens coming, I had to have Maxwell, Sam and Cheddar’s Pokémon a little different. Like Maxwell will be a mix between Scorbunny and Raboot, Sam as a Vulpix, and Cheddars to use any mouse Pokémon depending on which one. He can still be Pikachu and use a Cosplay since a lot of OCs got to use Pikachu. Even some chose Libre, Belle, Pop Star and Rockstar. But if Cheddars got to still use Pikachu, I bet Ph. D would be an excellent choice since Cheddars like the brains to Maxwell and friends. So Pikachu Ph. D would be fitting. Especially if he tagged with the Pokémon Investigation team Or the Pokémon Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad. (S.E.E.S). Since Maxwell and Sam got to join in with the Pokemon Phantom Thieves. Same for Luna and Deev since Deev will use Bunnelby.

I remember that gag from PB&J Otter, Scootch is always likes getting into people’s way when bashing into someone’s way. But when I watch a lot as a kid, that gag is so wacky. Even if Speedy were to tag along with Stripes, it’s something. And much messed up if Lighting, Penny, Riya and May went to Lake Hoohaw for a heist.

Ok I hope you are ready bc I'm in the mood for a bit of a rant. Let me set the stage for you. Also, I had to link to youtube videos of my clips bc Tumblr only lets me post one video per post :(

I absolutely LOVE Fennekin! I've cosplayed as Serena before and I've got the most adorable fennekin plush proudly displayed (or it would be if my office was set up, but you get the point). I decided to boot up pokemon violet, transfer a hisuian goodra over from legends and give the new raid event a shot. All I needed to do was EV train it for it to be battle-ready for some 7 star raids. Let's just say it went.. p o o r l y. Here are three of many reasons why I will not be buying the Scarlet/Violet DLC and honestly, why I might not buy the next main series game even though I have bought and played every main series game to date (also games like legends, and the remakes).

Reason #1: most of my raid mons need full EVs in HP because raids are hard and dying sucks for everyone. Dondozo gives 4 evs in HP, is easy to knock out, and is plentiful in one area of the map. Unfortunately, the area I most commonly find it is in lag lake; full of tiny trip hazards (Tatsugiri), and the fucking bane of my existence, winner of the most annoying fish award, veluza. I wish the clip below could capture the purest essence of how bad this area's framerate is, but I forgot to clip it while it was RAINING. I can't believe Pokemon was able to put a ppt presentation on the switch! Neat!

Reason #2: This one is not so big but it did happen. I honestly thought the game crashed on me right then and there. It actually booted me out of mesagoza city entirely when this happened and put me in front of the west gate outside the city. wtf?!?

Reason #3: Tera Raids are just not fun. I'm sorry. This is ridiculous and just plain unacceptable. Not us losing, that was totally expected haha that ceruledge was lvl 73 🙃 . But the fact that I had to sit here for what felt like an eternity (longer than this clip!) for what? nothing??? I'm putting my goodra back in legends (if that's even allowed? I don't remember?) I've not touched Violet in months and the fact that I am lured into booting it up for my little fox friend only to be met with it being in this same, sorry ass, joke of a state is frankly embarrassing.

Oh that's great! I have two OCs... Well, kinda OCs. They were both made as complements to the Galar boys sooo anyway-

1. Aza / Azalyn uses she/her pronouns. She's a multi-type trainer (doesn't stick to one type) and has a constantly changing team that she rotates to make sure that all of them are as powerful as they want to be. She was born in Kalos, but her mom's Galarian (dad is Kalosian). Her starter was a Fennekin, it evolved into a Braixen and picked up an everstone so it hasn't evolved into Delphox.

Aza's pretty nice most of the time. She's also a bit moody and rarely gets along with people. She gets quiet and withdrawn around the holidays because of her abandoment issues (dad was an absentee dad) and would probably stay in the wild area for a good while if this was the case. She has a leafeon and a ninetsles that's her constant companions, and is always trying unconventional ways to train her team.

2. Nin / Niana uses she/they pronouns and is a fashion designer. She was kinda based off of your HC where raihan/piers had a techwear S/O, except Nin has a wide variety of styles. Nin's very adventurous and is a loud and proud polyamorous girly who has too big of a heart to love just one.

She was born in Kanto, but grew up travelling. She turned to fashion design after seeing how much a person could change with a nice outfit (she was 12) and makes most of her own clothes. She doee techwear, a lot of what we consider as cosplay (in her head it's just bringing characters to life), and RTW too.

Her team's a bit all over the place if I'm being honest. She has a Gengar, a Dragonair (her brother's gift that she hatched from an egg), a Steenee, an undecided electric or steel type and a fairy type. She's a pretty new bean so still developing.

Aza:

Renee does her best to act confident, but she can actually be quite easily intimidated if she feels someone may not like her, for whatever reason. She'll do her best to befriend Aza, but if she doesn't seem to get anywhere with her, she won't push and push and push. Relationships are two ways, and if Aza doesn't reciprocate, then Renee will leave her be. If she does, though, Renee will follow up and keep trying to get closer

Renee, due to Aza moodiness, might be less inclined to date. She's aware she's not around as much as other partners, as much as she should be. She doesn't think she can give Aza what she needs, so she keeps to herself, only considering a date or a relationship if Aza brings it up first. She's still worried she can't provide during the dating stage

Nin:

Renee likes how adventurous Nin is, and follows her along to photograph the shenanigans that she gets into. Renee has a lot of fun with Nin, and would like to keep in touch, maybe even bring her along for some of her work trips since Nin likes traveling. Maybe Renee can photograph a fashion show for Nin? She's interested!

Renee might grab a crush. She admires Nin's talents and her spirit, and kind of wants to be a dress up doll for Nin to test outfits on. She also wants to show Nin more of the Pokémon of the world, see where her interests lie and watch her face as she awes and coos. It's a crush, and depending on Nin's feelings in return, it could grow into more!

Pokémon Spectacular

This post inspired me and because I have no life I created an entire Pokémon contest based game.

Opening

The game starts in Goldenrod City in the Johto Region where the MC lives. 

Their mom tells them that she got MC a ticket to a Pokémon Performance happening in the city. The MC goes and watches the performance, with three girls; May, Dawn, and Serena, having a three-way contest battle with an Altaria, Lopunny, and Absol.

Afterwards, you meet a girl name Lisa and she offers you one of three Pokémon. 

The cool Pokémon, Treeko. The beautiful Pokémon, Piplup. Or the clever Pokémon, Fennekin.

After you choose your partner, Lisa will give you a contest pass for the contests in whichever region your Pokémon is from (Treeko - Hoenn, Piplup - Sinnoh, Fennekin - Kalos).

After telling your mom, you take a plane and travel to the region you picked and meet the professor and get your Pokédex. 

Contests

Once you get your Pokédex you travel to the first contest where you’ll meet your rival(s).

You will have five rivals. Your main rival will have the Pokémon who has the type advantage over yours (ex: if you selected Fennekin, they’ll have a Piplup). The other four rivals differ depending on which region you select.

In Hoenn your rivals will be: Drew, Harley, Solidad, and Jessebella

In Sinnoh your rivals will be: Zoey, Nando, Ursula, and Jessilina

In Kalos your rivals will be: Shauna, Miette, Aria, and Jessilee

After registering for the contest the admissions desk will give you a choice between three outfits to wear during contests.

There are five contests in total with different themes.

Cool

Beautiful 

Cute 

Clever 

Tough

You must win all five contests to compete in the Grand Festival, where you will face off with May (Hoenn), Dawn (Sinnoh), or Serena (Kalos).

There are two rounds of each contest and you can use up to two Pokémon (one for each round).  

The first round varies depending on what contest theme it is.

Cool - Dance contest

Beautiful - Pokémon Styling

Cute - Make a special Pokéblock/Poffins/Poképuff for your competing Pokémon

Clever - Pokémon Quiz

Tough - Obstacle Race

The second round is the battle stage where you battle an opponent and can have up to a two move combination.

When you receive your final ribbon, Lisa will meet you and give you a key stone and an Altarianite (Hoenn), Lopunnite (Sinnoh), or Absolite (Kalos).

You can find mega stones scattered across the region, but you can only get these stone from Lisa.

Antagonists

The antagonists in the game are “Team Badges.”

They’re a bunch of gym trainers who don’t consider contests as legitimate Pokémon competitions and try to wreck them.

They call coordinators “Team Ribbons.”

Legendries

The legendary Pokémon you encounter in this game are Jirachi (Hoenn), Cresselia (Sinnoh), or Diancie (Kalos).

While you travel throughout the region, you learn more about the history of contests. In the past, ceremonies where people and Pokémon performed together as a way to pay tribute to these Pokémon. 

In the game, they make an appearance and Team Badges tries to battle them, only to get defeated. 

Their attacks anger the legendary and to calm it down, you dress in the ceremonial robes and perform for them, calming them down enough for you to catch them.

Grand Festival

After you collect all five ribbons, you’re eligible to compete in the Grand Festival.

The first half is a normal appeal round and the second half will have five rounds, one for each contest theme. You will use one Pokémon per round and when you have won all five rounds you will challenge either May, Dawn, or Serena depending on the region with your full team. 

May’s Team: Beautifly, Delcatty, Venusaur, Blastoise, Blaziken, Mega Altaria

Dawn’s Team: Pachirisu, Mamoswine, Typhlosion, Togekiss, Piplup, Mega Lopunny

Serena’s Team: Pangoro, Sylveon, (Cosplay) Pikachu, Florges, Delphox, Mega Absol

After you win against them, Lisa meets you and reveals herself to be Lisia, a contest star, and challenges you to a battle. After fighting against her, she offers you one of the other two starter Pokémon from the beginning of the game. And after you choose, she gives you a ticket to another region, allowing you to challenge the contests there.

Extra

You can choose between three different skins for what your MC looks like (plus selecting the skin and hair color) and the NPC’s refer to your character as they/them. You can still customize your character too.

You can have contest battles with people online with the decision of either a single battle or a double battle. You can also trade Pokémon with others.

When ten trainers connect online, they can participate in the Wallace Cup, where you can win a Shiny Milotic.

If anyone else has any ideas, questions, or wants to add onto this feel free. I’d love to see what you guys think. I also couldn’t really come up with any ideas for the antagonists, so if you guys have any suggestions for that, I’d love to hear them.
