Dabi's Coat

One of my main cosplay goals this year was to make improvements to Dabi's coat! I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I've been living all over the place and haven't had access to all of my cosplay materials. But! I was finally able to make the changes that I wanted to earlier this month!

The major change was replacing the arm guard bits. The spray paint that I used did crack a bit, but I think it gives the coat a more weathered look which is neat :D

I also made a couple of minor cosmetic changes - I added some safety pins to the pockets, to make it a touch more edgy. I also changed out the laces on the back panels to something more sturdy! I am considering another cosmetic change but haven't decided on it definitively yet...

GUYS! Like everyone else, I enjoy delving into YouTube from time to time in search of something captivating or intriguing. Occasionally, amidst ASMR and true crime podcasts, one can stumble upon a genuine gem! I was fortunate enough to stumble upon such a gem!

This nearly 90-minute musical production was meticulously prepared by a team of Polish cosplayers during Magnificon 2019 in Cracow, Poland. My emotions were genuinely stirred as I watched this musical!

Considering it was an amateur production, I anticipated something cringe-worthy, but I was pleasantly surprised by the final result 😀

The musical was a highly polished rendition of the manga/anime. I was impressed with the selection of cosplayers to embody each character; they skillfully captured the essence of their personalities. Among them, my top favorites were Bakugo and Shoto, and surprisingly even Shigaraki, despite his unconventional portrayal 😂 (the way Shigaraki called All Might and subsequently sent him an anonymous letter left me amused)

I watched the musical with my bestie @crystalwolfblog and she instantly developed a deep love and desire for Aizawa and Kirishima (I'm not surprised, they were so well-fitted!)

If you find yourself with some free time, I recommend giving this charming musical a watch ❤️
