One thing I would have loved to get insight on is how Will was for Cecily during her difficult days of the Anna pregnancy, Im sure he wanted her in the institute and cuddled with her and talked in welsh like they did in cp2. Also he would be extra worried. What do you think?
I think that Cecily and Gabriel still lived at the Institute while she was pregnant with Anna so it might've been easier for Will to be present and be super close. I bet Cecily sometimes wanted to do things she couldn't have done in her condition, and Will got mad. Like maybe even the simple gesture of picking up a book on a high shelf or walking on a lot of stairs got him mad and he run to help her and Cecily rolled her eyes. And at times, Cecily might've wanted to see the London landscape from the roof because she was annoyed to always need to rest and she wanted to go out. We know that the roof has a tricky entrance so it would be risky for someone who has to be careful to go there. One night, while Gabriel isn't there because he's on night patrol, and Will intends to talk to his sister to see if she needs anything, but he can't find her. He's relieved when he finds her on the roof and he's about to tell her to go back inside because it's cold out there and she might've slipped on the pavement but he finds her crying. She feels tired, drained. And she knows he cares but she doesn't want him to be so obsessed because not even Gabriel is like this (Gabriel tries to mask it more, he was also very scared and preoccupied about Cecily during her pregnancy). She needs a break, so Will promises to be less annoying and he says he owes her a trip to somewhere so she can take a breather.

Fanfiction Masterlist
Since I was asked about my fanfics and where to find them, I decided to make a Masterlist. Maybe it will be easier for you and myself.
The Last Flowers
A series which integrates and corrects TLH canon. It comprises four long fics, a collection of missing moments one-shots and three oneshots as epilogues. I'm writing this series with @fimproda.
This series has many delicate themes, so, please, read all the TWs before reading.
Here are the single fanfics of this series:
Hydrangea: the 1st longfic, it's mostly about Gracetopher (kind of). Set between Chain of Gold and Chain of Iron. [Complete]
Daisy: the 2nd longfic, it's mostly about Jordelia, but unlike canon they can talk to each other like normal human beings. Set during Chain of Gold and Chain of Iron. [Ongoing, 5/6 chapters]
Chrysanthemum: the 3rd longfic, it will be a correction of all the nonsense that happens in Chain of Thorns. It will be about Gracetopher and Jordelia, but also AriAanna and Thomastair will have a minor role. (Not published yet).
Petals: a collection of one shots of missing moments from the rest of the long fics. [Ongoing, 3/6 chapters]
Geranium: I like to call it Hydrangea AU, it starts with the same premise but it goes in a totally different direction. It's mostly about Cecily and Grace having a mother-daughter relationship, but Gracetopher is a secondary relationship and AriAnna will have a minor role later on. It's independent from the rest of TLF and can be read separately. [Ongoing, 4/8 chapters]
Levander: the Thomastair epilogue, set after Chrysanthemum. (Not published yet).
Acacia: the AriAnna epilogue, set after Chrysanthemum. (Not published yet).
Night-blooming Jasmine: the Gracetopher epilogue, set after Chrysanthemum. (Not published yet).
Gracetopher
Exothermic: a Bridgerton-like fanfic that starts from the premise "What if Cecily got Herondale Manor instead of Will?" [Complete]
How (not) to end a feud: a fanfic where the clave is tired of the Lightwood-Blackthorn feud and decides to settle the matter down with a wedding. [Complete]
Endless Sunlight: a fanfic set after ChoT where Grace is obsessed by the idea of finding Christopher in another dimension, but once she arrives there she finds out that Christopher isn't the same kind and caring guy he was in her universe. Or, the self indulgent villain!Christopher fanfic. [Ongoing, 7/21 chapters]
What happens in the lab... : a PWP fanfic.
What happens in the carriage... : another PWP fanfic.
What happens in the hotel room... : the return of PWP.
Gabrily
Still insists she sees the ghosts: Cecily is accused of something she didn't do and her tale goes through two different parts of her life. [Ongoing, 4/8 chapters]
Bad luck: Morden!AU, it should be a commedy but my humour is broken and I can't gaurantee other people will find it funny. (Not published yet)
Across the PWPverse: a series of 3 PWP one shots connected with each other, but that can be read separately.
That one time in Chiswick Manor: a PWP where Cecily goes to Benedict Lightwood’s party and meets an interesting person.
That one time in the Institute: a PWP where Gabriel owes a favour to Cecily.
That one time in Southampton: a PWP where Gabriel is forced to admit that he’s wrong about something.
Lightwood family (Gabrily)
Balance: Modern!AU, no plot. Just Cecily Lightwood trying to balance work, marriage, motherhood and life in general. It will be a collection of short one shots (about 500/1000 words each) independent from each other. [Ongoing, 1/35 chapters].
Bloodbound: A fanfic inspired by Winter Soldier and Throne of glass series. Gabriel is declared dead despite his body was never found, and after fifteen years some members of the Clave are murdered by a hooded humanoid figure who holds two blades of dark Adamas. Or, what TLH could have been if the main characters were the Lightwoods and if Belial was a real villain and not a clown. Main ships: Gabrily, Gracetopher, AriAnna. (Not published yet).
Extra
A collection of the extra of all my fanfics. These posts will delve into some aspects if my fics.
Endless Sunlight: The planimetry of Chiswick Manor; The gardens of Chiswick Manor, Playlist, Random facts about Matthias Greene, Random facts about Oliver Whisperford.

As someone who loved lucie jesse what is your opinion of them post chot?
**SPOILER WARNING**
I'm quite upset about how everything went down for them in chot and the really bad level of ooc they were :(
Jesse's was way worse than Lucie's by a long shot, but I've got a couple other asks in my inbox specifically referring to Jesse that I will elaborate more on there.
For them as a couple, I really liked them in Chog and Choi because of the innocent/true nature of their feelings and that they were both romantics who just had massive crushes on each other. It reminded me a lot of Gabrily's relationship in CP2. They just literally had big crushes on each other the whole time until Gabriel finally did something about it (not that I think he was actually planning on kissing her but that's another gabrily rant I will go on one day)
In Chot they were reduced to literally everything I hate about Jordelia. They were just horny teenagers. Not that teenagers aren't allowed to explore their sexuality and all that but... it just wasn't in character for them? And we hardly got any other kind of romantic development with them? I also really didn't buy that Will was so welcoming to Jesse so quickly to the point where Will is his parental figure instead of either of his actual blood relatives who have canonically tried for years to get to know him. I wanted to see the entire family welcome Jesse before the discussion of Lucie actually marrying him one day was even brought up.
Lucie I am less upset about in terms of their duo because I actually kind of like how she matured a lot in ChoT and how that played into how she viewed her relationship with Jesse, but Jesse was just too ooc for me to really appreciate the amount of ghostwriter was in this book. I really hoped for more gradual growth of their relationship.

Hello!!! How is everything? I wanted to ask you if you are still writing I loved and love the gabrily you did (specially pre chot) and wanted to know if you would write more, some months ago you said you had some pieces stared
and could you share some snippets maybe?
Cheers :)
Hello!! I'm busy as always hahah
I must admit, when you sent this, I didn't have anything written that I really wanted to work on, but I did have this idea running circles around my head for a while now, so I decided to write it down. So you are allowed to take full credit for prompting my to write this.
We Are What We Love
“It’s all right, darling.” Gabriel said, more to himself than his wife. “You are going to be just fine. We’re almost at the institute.”
Gabriel spared a glance at Cecily, as he tore down London alleyways with her nestled in his arms. Cecily and Gabriel had encountered a pack of Raum demons on their patrol, and had it not been for a slip on the cobblestone (which, thanks to London weather, was wet enough to be incredibly slippery), she most likely wouldn’t have gotten bitten and scratched by the two demons she had been battling. Gabriel, having been facing in the other direction, didn’t know that his wife was in danger until she called out in pain. Gabriel—most likely in a fury driven craze, from seeing that the demons had struck down and were attacking not just his wife but the mother of his children—managed to slay them with two arrows. The arrows met their mark, though there was no time to admire such shots; once the demons had disappeared, Gabriel immediately threw down his arrow and rushed to kneel down beside Cecily, who was bleeding freely on the street.
“Cecy,” he said, putting a hand to her cheek, while checking for her wounds. “Where does it hurt, darling?”
The look Cecily gave him was enough for him to let out a curse and carefully scoop her up in his arms before sprinting towards the institute.
The look of Cecily’s face now did nothing to raise Gabriel’s spirits: her lips were blue, her face a ghostly parlor to it. Her eyes began to shut.
“No! No, Cecy. Open your eyes.”
Cecily’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, her eyes fluttering open slightly. She moved her lips to form words, but no voice came out.
Thankfully, Gabriel had reached the institute. Bounding up the steps and shouldering open the heavy doors, he called out for Will and Tessa.
They appeared by the stairwell, the children trailing behind Tessa curiously. Will took one glance at Cecily and bounded down the institute staircase as quickly as possible. Gabriel could see Tessa out of the corner of his eye, herding away the children.
“I’m calling the Silent Brothers,” Will said. “take her to the infirmary and do what you can.”
Usually Gabriel would do the exact opposite of whatever Will told him to do, but now he didn’t hesitate to follow Will’s orders.
Once in the infirmary, Gabriel laid Cecily on one of the beds gently, quickly taking a basin and a cloth to clean her wounds. Gabriel was cutting off her gear jacket, when he felt her place her hand over his forearm.
“My leg,” she said so softly, he barely heard her.
Gabriel’s eyes slowly travelled down to her leg. Once he caught sight of it, he could have sworn he was hit with a wave of dizziness.
“By the angel, Cecy.” He whispered.
Gabriel stayed in the infirmary the entire time the silent brothers worked to heal his wife. It was all he could do. When they finished, Brother Enoch took him aside and told him that they were hopeful that Cecily would be alright, though if she didn’t show signs of recovering, the Institute should let them know.
And just like that, they were gone. Gabriel walked up to Cecily’s beside. He’d never seen her look so sick. He sank down in the chair beside her bed and clutched her hand. Even with her sickly appearance, her veins dark against her extremely pale skin, she was the most beautiful woman in the world to him. She was everything to him, and more so now that they had children together. Gabriel didn’t think he could tolerate losing her.
“Gabriel.”
He looked up and saw Tessa standing by the doorway.
“She will be alright. How about you take off your gear and go to bed?”
Gabriel glanced at Cecily.
“I’ll watch her,” Tessa said. “While you’re gone. If it makes you feel more confortable.”
“No, it’s alright, Tessa.” Gabriel said.
He leaned over to kiss Cecily’s forehead goodnight and left the infirmary. Gabriel went through the typical motions of peeling off his gear, washing himself clean of demon ichor and grime from the messy battle.
Once he was in his night clothes—despite the fact that he was utterly exhausted—he forced himself to go down the hall to Anna’s room. As he approached the door (which had been left ajar), he wasn’t surprised to hear his daughter speaking with her brother, telling him a story about—from what Gabriel could gather— a very naughty spider.
When Gabriel cracked open the door, ever so slightly, Anna’s voice trailed off immediately, and he found two pairs of incredibly dark blue eyes blinking at him.
“You two should be asleep.” Gabriel said, though he couldn’t find it in himself to sound stern.
“Papa!” Anna said, trying to look behind him. “Where’s Mam?”
“She’s resting,” Gabriel said, coming inside.
“Will she be alright?” Anna asked quietly.
Gabriel smiled down at her. She looked so much like her mother, Gabriel had trouble believing he had any part in her constitution. He sat down on the bed, in front of them. “Yes, she will be perfectly fine.”
Anna nodded, relieved. Gabriel thought wistfully of a time where every single worry could be dispelled by a parent’s reassurance. Well…Gabriel’s father had never been reassuring, but Gabriel did remember a simpler time, where everything his father said was true, and that was all there really was too it. Now that Gabriel is an adult himself, he found that the black and white did not exist it the world: it was only a mix of different shades of gray that one simply had to try to make sense of.
“Could you stay here, Papa?” Anna said, her eyes wide. “Only for a little while.”
Christopher nodded beside her.
Gabriel smiled. How could he deny them?
“All right, but only if you promise to try to get some sleep.”
“Yes, Papa.” They both said simultaneously.
Gabriel sat in between them, his back against the headboard.
“I was telling Christopher about the spider I saw this morning.” Anna said, yawning. “You should have seen it, Papa. It was quite big. Bigger than any I’d ever seen.”
Gabriel listened to Anna, even as her words started to slur together, pauses in her speech being longer. Christopher was already curled up beside him, sleeping peacefully. Gabriel barely registered Anna’s heavy breathing, before falling asleep as well.
…
Gabriel woke up with his neck screaming in pain. He winced as he tried to relieve the stiffness by rolling his head. He felt it crack loudly and looked down to make sure he didn’t wake the children. Anna was unbothered, sleeping soundly on her side, her thumb close to her slightly parted lips.
The only time you’ll ever see her completely still, Gabriel remembered Cecily saying with a laugh.
Gabriel looked to his left and was surprised to find that Christopher was not there. He got up quickly, his pulse increasing significantly.
Maybe he went back to his room? But when Gabriel checked, his son was nowhere to be seen.
After a couple of minutes spent searching (rather frantically) Gabriel finally found him in the infirmary, cross legged beside Cecily’s bedside. His tiny back slumping, his head tilted upwards as if he were looking at his mother (though Gabriel knew he wouldn’t be able to see much from down there). A memory flashed before his eyes, one that he had long forgotten until that very moment. Gabriel had been a small child himself, standing by his mother’s bedside as she breathed slowly and raggedly.
“I love you,” she had said to him, her voice barely a whisper. “I love you, Gabriel.”
Gabriel had very few memories of his mother; when he had been an adolescent, he had only one. Now as an adult, as a father, there were certain situations that brought back flashes of his mother.
Snapping out of his haze, he walked towards his son; Gabriel could see his droopy eyelids threatening to close any minute.
“Kit,” he said.
Christopher rubbed his eyes. “Hello, papa. I came to see Mam.”
“Yes, I can see that.”
Kit yawned and lifted his arms, holding them out to Gabriel. His eyes were fluttering closed and he could barely manage to sit straight.
Gabriel lifted him in his arms and Kit immediately snuggled close to his chest.
“Goodnight, Mam.” Kit said suddenly, waving to his mother.
At first Gabriel thought he was only saying because he’d become accustomed to it; however, upon turning around, Gabriel found that Cecily had woken, her dark blue eyes smiling at Christopher and Gabriel, before slipping back into sleep. Gabriel stood still for a while, before looking down at Christopher. The small boy had rested his head on Gabriel’s collarbone, and was already sleeping soundingly. Gabriel took that as a cue to leave the room. He kissed the top of Kit’s head and left the room.
It was many days before Cecily was sitting up once more. Her mangled leg was still too injured to put weight on it, but the poison had slowly left her bloodstream. She had lost a lot of weight in the lapse of time that she was fighting the demon poison and her skin had taken a paler sheen than usual.
Beside her sickly appearance, Cecily made up for it with her usual bright character, that had seemed to remain untouched by the misfortunes for the demon poisoning. She neatly plaited Anna’s unruly dark hair every morning, as she always does and played chess with the children while Gabriel was training. She wistfully spoke about how she missed playing the harp (beside the fact that she was in no condition to play) and going to sleep beside her husband (she only said this when she was alone with Gabriel, though).
Gabriel had gotten used to having to stay up late with the children, waiting for them to drift off to sleep. This left a lot of time for Gabriel to reflect. On the nights where Cecily had been in a more worrying state, he couldn’t help but think of his own father, who had been left a widow with three young children. Except, Benedict had never comforted Gabriel and Gideon when their mother had died. Gabriel was quite sure he never stayed up late to make sure they felt loved and reassured before they fell asleep. He couldn’t comprehend how something so intuitive, something that came so naturally to him, didn’t even ocurre to Benedict to do. Or maybe he had thought of it, but didn’t care enough to act upon it.
“The brothers come tomorrow.” Gabriel said now to Cecily. “We can ask them if you can go back to our room, instead of staying here until you recover.”
“And if they refuse,” Cecily said. “We ignore them, and you take me upstairs anyway.”
Gabriel chuckled. “I can’t refuse you, can I?”
Cecily only shook her head.
Luckily, the Silent Brothers let Cecily go back to her room. The second they left, both Gabriel and Cecily laughed like children as he carried her bridal-style up down the hall and up the stairs to their bedroom.
“Hello again, beautiful bedroom!” Cecily said. “Oh how I missed your oversized windows and tiny automaton. I even missed the mysterious bloodstain on the wallpaper!”
Gabriel shuddered. “We must get rid of that.”
“I must admit, I’ve become quite fond of it,” Cecily said.
Gabriel gave her a pointed look, which earned him a laugh and a kiss on the cheek.
“But most of all, I missed you.” she said.
“I was always here.” Gabriel said, kissing her forehead.
“I know,” She replied. “But I missed you all the same."

Hi!! Can I ask please for I’m so proud of you with Gabrily please?
Anonymous asked: Fluff 44 for Gabrily
Anonymous asked: Please would you do stay with Gabrily please?
Hello guys! I hope you don't mind I combined all your prompts - but to make three different fics would take a lot of time so I decided to do this longer one shot instead.
Also, this is my first TID fic ever so please tell me what you think 🙏 I hope you enjoy this!
Send me prompt(s) + a ship and I will write something little for you!
PROMPTS: (11# fluff) “I’m so proud of you.” + (44# fluff) “You’re an idiot.” “But I am your idiot.” +“Please, would you stay?”
(It's set in Modern AU because writting fic set in 19th century cost me more research and time)
In Gabriel's dream was a lot of screaming. How father was talking nonsense and his skin was turning into a disgusting mess of scales.
Gabriel opened his eyes, struggling to breath. For one terrifying moment he couldn't move. Theoretically he knew why - his mind woke up before his body. It was still awful.
When he fully returned to his senses he sat up in bed. He was sweating. The apartment around him was dark and quiet. Gabriel shivered and looked at the clock. It was two a.m.
He closed his eyes. He didn't want to be alone right now, in this big flat. But Gideon was out of the city. He didn't feel comfortable to call most of his friends. He could think only for one person.
He grabbed his phone. It took a few seconds for his eyes to get used to the light. He dialed the number.
This is stupid, he thought. It's ridiculous. She would be pissed. I shouldn't have-
“Gabriel, what the hell?”
Gabriel took a deep breath. He was right. She was pissed.
“Do you know what time it is? I swear, if this is some stupid prank, I-”
“It's not a prank,” Gabriel said. His voice was a little hoarse. “It's... it's not, I swear. I just... I... I didn't want to be alone.”
In the following silence Gabriel regretted calling Cecily. To wake her up in the middle of the night and to tell her some bullshit. “I'm sorry I called you, it's stupid-”
“Where are you?” she asked.
“What? I'm in my apartment, but why-”
“Good,” Cecily said. “I will be there in fifteen minutes,” and hung up.
Gabriel stared at the phone for a minute. Was she really...
“By the angel,” he murmured. “This woman.”
He was sweaty so he decided to take a shower before Cecily's arrival. He wouldn't be able to sleep tonight anyway. Not anymore.
Gabriel just put clothes on when he heard the ring at the door. As he opened it Cecily was standing in front of him. She was clearly in her sleeping clothes, her hair in a messy ponytail. She was beautiful.
“You look like shit,” she said instead of hello.
“Thank you," he said sarcastically. He knew he didn't look good. There were shadows under his eyes, his hair was still messy from the shower. This wasn't his first sleepless night. Just the worst.
“I brought some stuff,” Cecily said and entered the apartment without waiting for Gabriel's response.
“I wanted to buy pizza but at this hour I wasn't sure there would be open restaurants, so,” she shrugged. “We have a few kinds of chips, candy, popcorn and chocolate ice cream.”
“I...,” he didn't know what to say. “He couldn't believe Cecily was doing all this for him. In the middle of the night. “I love chocolate ice cream.”
“Me too,” Cecily said amused. She went to the kitchen like she was in her own house. Gabriel followed mainly because he didn't have much of a choice.
She opened the fridge. Arched an eyebrow. “When was the last you went out to buy something?”
“I dunno,” Gabriel said, sitting on a chair on the table. “Last week?”
“Last week? We are Thursday now.”
“Oh. Well,” Gabriel shrugged.
Cecily looked at him with narrowed eyes. “In the morning we are going to the store to buy you something healthy.”
“Yes, ma'am.”
“But now... It's time for junk food. With what do you wanna start?”
“The ice cream,” Gabriel said immediately.
“Wise choice.”
They sat on the table together, bowl with ice cream in front of them.
After a few minutes of silence, Cecily quietly said, “Do you want to talk about what happened?”
Gabriel hesitated. “It's silly.”
“Okay.”
“And ridiculous.”
“Probably.”
“And you may be mad at me.”
“Just spill it Lightwood.”
“I had a nightmare,” Gabriel sighed. “For a while now. About... about my father.”
He didn't say anything else. Cecily already knew. Together they killed the worm his father became, after all.
“It's not silly,” Cecily said quietly, “Or ridiculous,” after a pause, she added, “And I'm definitely not mad. If anything, I'm glad.”
“Really?” Gabriel said, confused. “You're glad you were woken up in two in the morning?”
She rolled her eyes. “No, dumbass. I'm glad you called me so you're not alone now.”
Then she shook her head. “Glad that I was woken up at three a.m.,” she murmured. “You’re an idiot.”
Gabriel grinned. “But I am your idiot.”
Cecily rolled her eyes again but smiled.
“So,” she said after they ate the ice cream in their bowls. “I'm not here just to sit in your kitchen and be depressed. Let's watch something.”
“Okay,” Gabriel said. “I don't know much about films and stuff though.”
“Don's worry,” Cecily said with a devilish smile. “I have something in mind.”
In the end, they watched SpongeBob SquarePants. Gabriel was traumatized.
It made him laugh though. He also liked to watch Cecily smile.
They ate some popcorn and teased each other all the time. Cecily was joking how Gabriel didn't know shit for mundanes shows. Gabriel said at least he hadn't grown up with a talking sponge.
After they watched around five episodes, Gabriel realized it's past three a.m. He anxiously looked at Cecily. She probably should go home - he had bothered her enough for the night. But he couldn't imagine what he would do without her for the rest of the night. He would be alone again, waiting in the empty apartment for the sunlight.
She probably felt his gaze on her because she turned to him. They watched each other, their faces close. Gabriel could smell the chocolate ice cream in Cecily's breath.
He slowly leaned towards her, not sure what he was doing. Their lips touched, hesitantly at first. But they became braver. Cecily took his face in hands and kissed him furiously. He wrapped hands around her waist and returned the kiss with the same passion.
After they couldn't resist the need for air anymore, they withdrew from each other. They turned away from each other, trying to catch their breath. It was so hot in here. Was it this hot before?
“Please,” he said wait raw voice. “Would you stay?” He knew he was egoistic. But he wanted to have Cecily's company as long as he could.
She even didn't look at him as she said, “Isn't it obvious? Do you think I will come if I didn't plan to spend the night here?”
Gabriel felt relief. But couldn't not make a joke about this. “Considering what just happened, this sounds dirty,” he grinned.
Cecily arched an eyebrow at him. “Don't worry, Mr. Lightwood. I will preserve your dignity and honor.”
He hit her with a pillow.
Some time in the morning Cecily said she should go. But she made Gabriel promise her that he will go to buy himself vegetables and products - and that he will cook something healthy.
Gabriel promised.
After she left, he made a list of all products he could think of - vegetables, eggs, milk. And when he returned he started to cook. He has never done it before but it shouldn't be too hard, right?
He sent a photo to Cecily, saying As promised, I'm cooking. I think it's not bad.
A few minutes later he got a text back. I’m so proud of you, dumbass
He grinned when he saw it. They texted a few more minutes and Cecily said she would come soon to try this mess you call food
Gabriel was excited when she came. “Here it is!” he said.
Cecily sat on the table and he put a bowl and spoon in front of her. “Try it!“
Cecily did. At the first bite she froze. She slowly chewed it with a strange expression.
“Well?”
“What,” she said slowly, “the actual fuck I just ate.”
“It's one of the stuff mum was cooking.”
“Gabriel,” she said gently. “I think SpongeBob messed up with you because I'm pretty sure you cooked the sponge together with this.”
“I did not!”
“This only makes it worse!”
“It can't be that bad!” Gabriel said. “Give it to me.” He grabbed it from Cecily who was more than willing to give it to someone else and ate. He slowly chewed it like her and swollen with effort. “It's... It's not that bad...”
Cecily shook her head. “You are not allowed in the kitchen anymore!”
“But it's eatable! It can be-”
“No! Your food will kill me faster than any demon.”
They continued to argue, Gabriel unwilling to admit his bad cooking skills.
In the end they just ordered pizza.

Could you do please 8. “Sleep over? Please?” For Gabrily please?
*laughs nervously* you’re the same anon who asked for Gabrily a month back, huh?
I haven’t read TID in so long, but here ya go!
8. (Fluff) “Sleep over? Please?”
prompts
“Sleepover? Please?” Cecily said, clasping her hands in front of her chin and looking up at her parents with the same expression that had weakened their wills when she was still attending mundane school.
Her father’s blue eyes softened, and he set his fork down on the dinner table, where he and her mother, Tessa and Will, as well as she and Gabriel were having dinner. She had expected her parents to be angry, not only at the fact that she had brought home a boy, but also that she and her brother had shown up after disappearing without a word. That they planned to leave, still.
But if anything, they were relieved, and she was certain the expression on her father’s face was proud, if also mournful, when Cecily had shown him her first rune.
“Of course,” her father said, relenting, “you are all welcome here at any time, to stay however long you may wish.”
“Cecy, I don’t think that’s a good-” Will began from where he sat opposite her on the table, but Tessa interrupted him, placing a gentle hand on his on the table.
“That’s kind of you, Mister Herondale, and I hope our stay will not be too much of an intrusion,” Tessa said, her voice kind, even with her thick, American accent.
Cecily saw her mother’s eyes land on where Tessa’s hands had fallen on Will’s, and her parents shared a mysteriously tender look.
“Absolutely not, you can stay the week, if you like,” said Cecily’s mother kindly, and her own mind wandered to the young man sitting beside her, Gabriel, who had gone somewhat stiff.
Oh, this should be fun, she thought.
When Cecily entered her old room, she was surprised to find it was occupied.
“Gabriel?” she said with some surprise, letting the door shut behind her. He was standing just beside her bed, where a series of photographs had been pinned to her wall, creating a circlet of grayscale images, studying them. He looked up when she entered.
“Oh- sorry, I was heading for the washroom, but I stumbled upon this instead,” he said, indicating the room, before his green eyes found hers again.
They stood awkwardly for a moment, as Cecily’s mind connected the fact that she had a young man in her bedroom and her father was only meters away.
“Are these your friends?” Gabriel asked, bringing her back to the present. She came to stand beside him, where he was looking at a picture of her, nearly two years prior, black hair tied in a knot and each of her arms hooked with another young girl’s. The three of them looked at the camera with varying degrees of seriousness, Cecily’s own lips turned slightly up at the corners.
She smiled at the memory of the two girls that had made life as a mundane bearable, and life as an only child somewhat enjoyable.
“Yes,” she said softly, letting her fingers trace the picture’s edge. When Cecily had decided to become a Shadowhunter, she had cut them out of her life as surely as Will had cut their family out of his. She would never see them again, and though her decision was firm, she felt a sadness well up in her chest.
“Do you miss them?” Gabriel asked softly, practically reading her. She nodded, eyes still on the picture, and felt his large hand catch her own, lacing their fingers together.
“Why did you leave?” he asked. She knew he did not mean now, but why had she left then, to seek out her brother, to learn the truth, to anger her parents, perhaps. But she also knew that these excuses were hardly near the truth, and that the girl smiling in the photo was nowhere near happy.
Cecily let a dry laugh escape her, catching in her throat. Her fingers lifted the edge of the photo from the wall and pulled out a smaller one, worn with time, weathered with touch, but familiar to her in every way.
“Because I missed them more,” she said, angling the picture so he could see. Gabriel’s green eyes, curious, looked down, and she saw the moment he recognized who the photograph’s occupants were.
A girl just at the start of her teenage years stood there, dark hair spilling down her back, carrying a crying toddler in her arms. Beside her, a younger boy was smiling, revealing one missing tooth. It was the only photo they had ever taken together, the three of them, and Cecily could not even remember the day, young as she had been.
Sometimes, her mind conjured fragments, a soft lullaby, flashing lights, bright blue eyes, but she was never certain if they were real or if her mind had created them to torture her.
Gabriel gave a half smile at the photo. He knew about Ella, of course, she had told him, and she wondered what he thought of now, seeing the three of them. In truth, Cecily had never shown it to anyone, not even her parents, who must’ve thought they had misplaced it. She carried it with her the way she carried her siblings in her heart long after they had both gone and left her.
She felt his hand slide up her bare arm, coming up to cup her cheek, and leaned into the touch. Who else could she share it with, anyways? There was only one person who understood her, and he had lost a sister of his own, though in a different manner.
“Cecy,” he murmured softly, “I’m here, and I always will be, for you.”
And oddly, that was exactly what she had needed someone to say. People had been hopping in and out of her life for so long, the thought of someone sticking around, promising to be there, promising to stay. She thought of the way Tessa’s hand rested on Will’s and wondered if he needed that, too. She saw the way her parents glanced at each other when she had shown up so different only months after she had left. Perhaps they were all a bit lost, and perhaps it was only with each other that they could be found.
Cecily tilted her chin up to meet Gabriel’s eyes, beautiful green and framed with those light lashes. His brown hair was slightly tousled in a way that made her heart speed. He leaned closer to her, his lips hardly a breath away-
The door burst open suddenly, and Cecily whipped her head back to see Will standing there, eyes filled with rage.
“Out of my sister’s room, Lightworm!” he shouted.
Cecily gaped at him in horror, and saw Tessa appear just behind him, pressing a hand to her forehead.
“Will! He’s a guest, you can’t kick him out!” she snapped.
“He’s a guest in this house, not in my sister’s bed,” he replied, glaring daggers at Gabriel.
“No? And where will Tessa be sleeping, then?”
Will narrowed his eyes at her, but before he could utter another word, Tessa stepped forward, grabbing his wrist to prevent him from doing the Angel knew what to Gabriel.
“With Cecily!” she determined, “and you and Gabriel can room together”
Will let out an indignant cry and Gabriel tried to speak as well, but Cecily raised her hand to silence them both.
“My thoughts exactly.”

I feel so bad but I cannot remember for the life of me who asked for the Gabrily family fluff because you either commented or asked me personally but I cant find it in my chats so sorry for not tagging you. </3
Cecily sighed as she walked through the door. It had been a busy day and she had spent most of it with her brother while they tried to figure out what was happening with the demon attack in broad daylight.
Gabriel had been off with Gideon on some mission for the last four days, he was often going on missions and Cecily found it hard to keep up, while Alexander was with Lucie. Anna and Christopher were off somewhere with Matthew, Thomas, and James, so Cecily wasn’t expecting anyone to be home.
She went to the kitchen getting some water before walking to the living room. She sighed as she looked at the mess, she hated cleaning, she always had, but with Christopher’s beakers and vials all over the place, she was constantly moving them away from Alexander’s reach. Anna came over often as well, always leaving something behind.
She had been cleaning for about ten minutes before someone had their arms wrapped around her. Cecily squealed and turned quickly, knocking the person backward. Gabriel stumbled, catching himself right before he fell, eyebrows raised. “I thought you knew I was coming since you weren’t moving, turns out you just didn’t hear me.” He pretended to give her a scrutinizing look. “I would have to rate your response time as a six I’m afraid, while you got away you would have still died had I been a demon.”
Cecily laughed, walking up to her husband and hugging him. She hadn’t realized how much she missed him and the toll it was taking on her to not have him here. Gabriel hugged her back, when she didn’t pull away he tightened his hold, his face moving back so he could see her face. “Are you alright, mi amor?” Cecily smiled up at her husband’s concerned face, “I am now.” She said quietly.
Gabriel smiled and leaned down, his lips meeting Cecily’s. She felt him smile against her lips, a feeling she would never get used to. The front door banged open and Cecily broke away with a sigh, alas she would have to wait until tonight to spend one on one time with Gabriel.
Cecily looked towards the door smiling at her children as Gabriel wrapped his arm affectionately around Cecily’s waist. Anna was holding little Alexander looking at them with fond eyes, she had been asking Cecily a lot of questions about love recently, making them ‘rhetorical’ but Cecily knew better and pretended to be unaware they were talking about Ariadne.
Christopher was behind Anna, talking excitedly with his hands about something he was calling a ‘fire message’. Anna set Alexander carefully on the ground and he ran up to Cecily who bent down and scooped him into her arms in a smooth practice move.
Gabriel walked over to Christopher and ruffled his already messy hair, Christopher turned his bright smile to Gabriel. “Father, have you talked to Uncle Gideon or Uncle Will today?” Gabriel shook his head watched Christopher with an amused smile. “They were on a mission and something happened to Uncle Gideon and they had mentioned how they wished they had something that could transfer messages instantly and I had a brilliant idea-” Gabriel held up a hand to stop Christopher, his previously amused expression now heavily concerned.
“Backtrack, what happened to Uncle Gideon?” Gabriel said, concern for his brother evident on his face. Cecily turned her icy blue eyes to Christopher’s lavender ones, her eyes equally concerned.
Christopher waved their concern off. “He’s fine, the demons had broken their steles but Sophie showed up just in time and healed them both.” Christopher’s eyes went bright again and Cecily watched Gabriel’s still concerned face. “I was thinking that there could be something I could make that makes instant messages possible! I was thinking of an idea and if it worked I could call it a fire message.” Anna put a hand up to stop him and Christopher peered questioningly at his sister.
“If it has fire in it you can’t work on it by yourself. Either me, Thomas, or mother and father have to be there.” Cecily wondered as she watched Christopher open and close his mouth when Anna became such a mom to Christopher but she couldn’t find it in herself to mind if it meant she wasn’t always the bad guy when telling him that potentially dangerous thing needed oversight.
Christopher just shrugged, turning to Anna to talk more about this ‘fire message’, and Gabriel turned to Cecily. “I have to go-” Cecily stiffened a little, disappointment flooding through her. He had only just gotten back from a four-day trip and as much as she knew he had to go check on his brother it still pulled at her heart for him to have to leave.
Nevertheless, Cecily smiled at her husband, turning away before he looked too deep and discover it was fake. Gabriel walked over to her and kissed her on the forehead before doing the same to Anna and ruffling Christopher and Alexander’s heads. Cecily watched with sad eyes as he stepped through the door once again.
Cecily bounced Alexander gently on her hip and turned to Anna. “I am going to put Alexander to bed, are you staying the night?” Anna watched Cecily’s face closely and nodded slowly before walking up to Cecily. “You look exhausted mother.” She said softly looking deep into Cecily’s blue eyes, Cecily always found it creepily comforting how similar her daughter’s eyes looked to her own and Will’s.
Cecily waved off her concern, though she knew she was radiating exhaustion, and shook her head. “I’m quite alright Anna, you needn’t stay if that’s what you were worried about.” Anna didn’t seem to believe that but dropped the subject anyway before saying goodnight to Alexander.
“If it’s alright with you mother, I am going to kidnap Kit and take him back with me to my apartment.” She turned her eyes to her brother, a fond look on her face. “I’m afraid otherwise he would be awake all night and you needn’t worry about that tonight.” Cecily smiled gratefully at her daughter before kissing her cheek and walking over to do the same to Christopher who smiled at her, his lavender eyes standing out on his pale face.
Anna and Christopher left about ten minutes later and Cecily finally made her way to Alexander’s room, the room next to her own, and set him down gently in his bed. She started humming softly, a welsh lullaby her mother had taught her that she had sung to all of her children.
Alexander wasn’t tired yet so it took Cecily two hours to put him asleep. Cecily stumbled slightly as she walked out of the room, the brightness momentarily blinding her as her eyes attempted to adjust. It was almost midnight now and Cecily wanted nothing more than to go to sleep but when she got in bed it felt too cold and she knew it would be one of the nights where she would have to wait for Gabriel to be able to sleep.
It took another two hours for Cecily to hear hooved feet in front of her house and she got up, tightening her robe around her nightgown as she walked into the main room. Gabriel was taking off his coat and hat, boots carefully sat beside the door.
He turned when he heard her bare feet pattering on the floor, a tired smile on his face. Cecily shivered, a draft chilling her to the point of goosebumps. “How are Gideon and Will?” Cecily asked quietly, trying desperately to not wake Alexander up.
Gabriel rubbing his hands together, walking up to Cecily before wrapping his arms around her. Cecily buried her face in his shirt, the comfort of having her husband home momentarily overwhelming. Gabriel’s cheek rested on her head and she felt when he said, “Gideon’s alright, Will was barely scratched but Gideon had a large gash across his stomach, Sophie got there about five minutes later and just about lost her mind at Will.” Gabriel laughed lightly, a hand coming up to stoke Cecily’s ink-black hair. “I would have rather enjoyed seeing that if I’m quite honest.”
Cecily laughed, but her heart wasn’t quite in it. She was tired and just wanted to be in bed, Gabriel’s arms around her, the safe feeling of being in his arms that she had been severely lacking recently.
Gabriel pulled away and frowned. “Are you quite alright mi amor?” He asked softly, tucking a loose piece of hair behind her ear. Cecily closed her eyes and nodded slowly. “I’m just tired.” She said somewhat weakly, a tone she only ever used around Gabriel.
Warm hands found their way to the back of her knees and her waist and Cecily found herself being lifted off the ground. “Off to bed then.” Gabriel said simply as Cecily laughed softly, a genuine one this time. She laid her head against his chest and sighed deeply, she had missed him.
He carried her to their room before dropping her softly onto their bed. Cecily crawled under the covers and waited expectantly for Gabriel to climb in next to her, instead he turned around and started walking out of the room. Cecily shot up, “Don’t leave, please! Where are you going?” She asked desperately. Gabriel turned back to her with a slightly concerned expression. “Ceci, I’m not going anywhere. I’m just changing I’ll be right back.”
Cecily felt her face heat up and she looked down at the comforter before shifting so she was laying down again. “Right. Sorry.” She mumbled, Gabriel stared at her for a second before turning and going to change. It normally took Gabriel ten minutes to get ready for bed but he was back in their room in half that time.
He crawled into bed next to her and wrapped a strong arm around her middle, gently pulling her body against his. Cecily sighed softly, comforted in a way only a spouse could. Gabriel intertwined their fingers, his thumb running soothing circles on the back of her hand.
“Why are you afraid of me leaving?” He asked softly, pressing a light kiss to the back of her neck. Cecily closed her eyes, her hand tightening involuntarily around Gabriel’s as if to keep him in place. “I’m not.” She replied dubiously, Gabriel tightened his grip around her waist. “You are, why?” He asked, his mouth leaving sweet kisses over her shoulder.
Cecily sighed, embarrassed, and afraid to come off as clingy. She took pride in being the kind of wife who was confident in being left alone. She was still confident, she just missed him horribly when he was gone. “You’ve been gone a lot.” Cecily said quietly, Gabriel’s lips stilled on her shoulder before he pulled away, shifting so that he was half above her, one arm holding him up while the other went to push the hair out of her face.
Gabriel frowned and Cecily felt instantaneously bad. “Not that that’s a bad thing. I know you have to fight demons and you’re really good obviously which is why they send you on overnight missions which is great Gabriel really, I’m so proud of you.” Cecily hesitated and Gabriel rested his chin on her shoulder, a sign for her to keep going. Cecily averted her eyes and looked at their intertwined fingers instead.
“It’s just hard I guess sometimes, having to watch the kids and help Will and Tessa and do patrols while finding someone to watch Alexander.” Her eyes flickered up to Gabriel’s again. “I’m not complaining though, I know what you do is important.” Cecily was about to continue rambling but Gabriel saved her from embarrassing herself further.
He ran a calming hand through her hair, a troubled look on his face. “Cecily none of that is as important as you, or the kids.” He paused, the troubled look on his face shifting into guilt. “Ceci, I do wish you’d told me earlier, I didn’t realize.”
Cecily just shook her head, pulling the hand still holding hers around her waist so that he was holding her again. Gabriel happily obliged. “I’m quite alright Gabriel, don’t worry about it. You’re here now.” Gabriel huffed. “I should have been here the whole time, especially with Alexander.” He sighed and kissed her shoulder again. “No wonder you’re always exhausted by the angle Cecily.”
With a sigh and a shake of her head, Cecily turned her head so she could see Gabriel. “If you’re saying I look tired all the time, wow Gabriel thanks.” She said sarcastically, continuing before Gabriel got a chance to deny her words. “And two, as you said, I am exhausted and it would be greatly appreciated if we could finish this tomorrow.” Gabriel hesitated before nodding and shifting back so he was laying on the bed instead of hovering over her body.
Cecily flipped to her other side so she could bury her face in Gabriel’s chest, his arm went around her tightly, drawing her body impossibly closer. Gabriel placed a soft kiss on her forehead and ran his fingers through her hair. Cecily sighed contentedly as her eyes finally shut, dreams not far off.
The last thing she thought before sleep claimed her was how safe it felt back in her husband’s arms.

More Fanfiction Links
So, apparently I hit a link limit on my previous post about fanfic links, and in order to remedy that, I’ll be creating this separate list in order to link more fanfics. I’ll also be continuing to add to this current list until I hit the 100 link limit again (because clearly I don’t learn), so it’ll change relatively often.
If you haven’t seen it already, the first post is here, and has a little under 100 fanfics, and I apologize if there are any repeats. I will be relinking my own fics and the ongoing ones for any of you are interested, so yeah.
I will also be marking AUs by putting the AU they’re set in parenthesis, and marking one-shots or chaptered fics by placing an asterisk (*) by the chaptered ones. In unspecified sections, the ships/characters involved in the tory will be listed in italic. Side note, all of the following fics besides the ones in the Pine With Me section are completed, so there’s no need to worry about the completion status of the fics. Now, I have read all of these, so if anyone wants to scream about any of these with me, I got you ;)
(Fair warning, the majority of these are TDA/TLH fics... mostly because I’m rereading TDA and drowning in feelings.)

15k One-Shot: Gabrily
March 4 1881
It was a relatively warm day. Cecily could feel a small breeze on the back of her neck, but the intensity of the rays of the sun shining down on her quickly obliterated it.
She brushed Xanthos mane softly, absentmindedly, her thoughts travelling leisurely through her parents that she missed deeply, the long and vast fields of Welsh green she hadn’t seen in several months, her brother and his never-ending honeymoon phase with his bride of a year.
She felt something bump her back. She turned her head and saw Balios huffing annoyed. She turned to him and put her hands on her hips. “Can’t you see I’m brushing your brother now?” He huffed again and shook his long head. “You are so impatient!”
“No wonder he’s Will’s favourite.” Cecily jumped at the deep voice behind her. Gabriel was leaning against the doorframe of the stables, a smile on his face as he watched her. He kicked himself from it and came close to her. “May I?” He put out his hand.
Cecily reached for the second brush from behind her and set it in his hand. Their fingers brushed slightly as she pulled her hand away, and her knees nearly collapsed. It had been over two years since their first kiss in this very spot, but every new kiss since then still made her insides tremble. He went past her to Balios and softly patted his neck. “You are aware that my brother has practically claimed that horse as his, right?”
Gabriel shrugged. “Maybe I can get him to switch teams.” He winked, and her breath faltered. She could feel the beginning of a blush on her ashen cheeks so she turned away so he wouldn’t see it.
She kept reminding herself that, no matter how much Will argued differently, she was no longer a little kid. She was an eighteen-year-old young woman, which meant that she was at an age where young Nephilim would start looking at her as marriage material. There had been quite a few that had approached at parties with the intent of courting. But she had shut them all down. A voice kept telling her not to give up on Gabriel, even though he hadn’t made any advances besides their occasional kissing session.
She sometimes wondered if it was worth waiting. Maybe Gabriel didn’t feel that way. Perhaps she was just practice for when he proposed to the girl he truly wanted. Maybe he’s only using you as revenge against your brother.
She shook that insecure voice away. That’s not the man Gabriel was. He would never do that to her. Not to mention that the two boys had grown quite close in the past two years. Gabriel was the only one that didn’t tiptoe around Will after what happened with Jem. Everyone had grown extra soft, more compliant, more hushed. But Gabriel had understood what Will needed. He didn’t need softness. Will needed everything to carry on as usual. So he kept teasing him, pranking him, and making mean remarks. They trained together, and Gabriel made a point of making a spectacle whenever he won a match.
He’d been the first one to crack a laugh out of Will since what happened. Her brother had been in a bad mood, and not so nicely barked the term “Lightworm” in Gabriel’s face. He didn’t even blink as he retorted with “Heronwhale”. Everyone had gone quiet, and Will had frozen with a very startled look. Charlotte was about to scold Gabriel when Will released a bark of laughter. And then kept laughing, and laughing, until tears started falling from his eyes from all the laughter. Soon Gabriel joined, and next thing they knew everyone was laughing as well, though no one knew exactly why.
Will had gotten better after that. Smiling more, cracking jokes, being himself again. Gabriel had done that. Not her, his own sister, not even Tessa, his bride to be. Cecily was immensely thankful to Gabriel for that.
The silence was a different type of strained. There was something in the air around, but Cecily didn’t know what it was. She pulled the bucket of carrots she’d stolen from the kitchen and started feeding Xanthos. She cleared her throat. “I saw you dancing to Edith Blackwheel at the Cartree’s ball last week.” He made an affirmative sound. “She’s stunning.”
“I guess. I don’t really like blondes.” She bit her lip to stop the squeal that nearly escaped her. “You and Joseph Earthshadow seem to be getting close.” There was a hint of something in the way he said that. Anger? Jealously? Maybe he’s just bored with the conversation, said the insecure voice in the back of her head.
“Yes, he’s quite the nice gentleman. There’s just one thing wrong.”
“The fact that he’s scared of griffons?”
Cecily snorted. “He’s scared of griffons?” She heard him chuckle. “No, that’s not it. He’s really great. He’s very nice and thoughtful. He’s a great dancer, and easy to talk to.” She could feel Gabriel’s eyes on her. She grinned. “I’m just not really into blondes.” Silence.
She waited, but after a couple minutes, the silence was still stretching. She sighed. “You know, I heard Edith during that ball, speaking to her sister. She seems to really fancy you. You should go for it.”
“Cecily.”
“I’m serious. Edith comes from a good family, she’s not horrible to look at, even with that blonde mane of hers, she’s not a complete bore…”
“Cecily.”
“I’ve seen her dance. She can waltz like she’s in a Jane Austen novel. And I’ve heard her sing. She’s not breaking any glasses, but she can carry a tune. She’s not very knowledgable, and she can be quite spacey, but I’m sure you two can have fun together.”
“Cecily.”
She sighed. “All I’m saying is that if you were thinking of settling down, Edith is the girl to choose. She could make you happy.”
“No, she can’t.”
“Why not?” She turned and gasped. Gabriel was down on one knee, a Lightwood ring in his hand, and a boyish smile on his face. His green eyes shone like she’d never seen them shine before.
“She can’t make me happy.” He took her hand in his. “Because you’re the only woman that can. You, Cecily Herondale, you make me happier than I’ve ever been, you make me happier than I ever thought I’d be. You make me a fool. And I am foolishly in love with you. And I want to spend the rest of my life making you feel as happy and as foolishly in love as I am.” He presented her the ring. “Marry me?”
She dropped on her knees in front of him. She took the ring from him and put it on her ring finger. She smiled at him. “Perfect fit.”
“Is that a yes?” He raised his eyebrows.
“It’s an ‘I thought you’d never ask’.” She giggled.
He shrugged. “I was waiting for the perfect moment. I’ve been carrying that ring in my pocket for months now.”
“Months?” Her eyes widened. He blushed and nodded. “And you thought that the perfect moment was when I was rambling on about you proposing to another girl?”
“No.” He admitted. “I just got tired of waiting.” He chuckled.
She leaned into him. “Thank the Angel for impatience.” She pressed their lips together. His hands came up to her face, cupping her cheeks. She broke the kiss and gave him a smirk. “It was a good proposal.”
“Really?”
She nodded. “I give it a six out of ten.”
“Six?” He yelped.
“Guess you’ll just have to keep doing it until you perfect it.” She tilted her head.
“I can do that.” He pulled her into him again and kissed her again.
“Now we just have one essential thing to decide.” He gave her a questioning hum.
Who’s telling my brother?

Can i ask you if you are working in any new fic now?
Hello friend! Yes, you definitely can - always feel free to ask me about fic things! <3
I’m working on quite a few things right now! I have a few prompts in my inbox I’m getting around to (a song inspired Thomastair fic, some Christopher Lightwood, Jimon, and a Gabrily request are the ones I have currently!). Right now I only have the Thomastair one started, but I’m hoping to get to all four of them by the end of the month!
I have a three-part fic I wrote last month that I just have to edit so I can post it for Raphael/Jace/Simon, which will cover three of my bingo squares! And I have a couple WIPs for one-shots for other bingo squares but they’re much more in-progress/vague ideas and I might ditch a few of them, I’m not sure yet.
I have quite a few bingo squares that I don’t have any ideas for, or might get rid of the ideas I do have and scrap them for something new, so if anyone has any ships they’d like to see me write more of soon, feel free to toss them at me and I’ll see if I can work them into any of my open squares!
And, even though I have quite a few things I’m working on, I have no sense of restraint or moderations when it comes to fic writing and will always gladly welcome more prompts/requests if anyone has anything specific they’d like me to attempt! <3

hi
what is your opinion on the prices of kickstarter?
I find 1000 dollars a lot, more considering 60 of shipping plus VATS
Hi.
I had no idea of what the prices are because after the finale of TLH that insults the intellect of the readers I decided to cut ties with Cassandra, so everything I know of whatever she is doing, I know from my moots on Twitter, but I recently took a break from that app for personal reasons and I had no idea of what the prices were before you sent me this ask.
I can't stop laughing, I am honest.
People seriously pay $1000, plus $60 if they don't live in the US, plus fucking VAT, for one project that is already free online, one that is basically just cards that will be available on google anyway by looking up "New flower card Name Lastname", one that has the finale of a character who wasn't obviously meant to survive in the original series and who only survived specifically so CC could force his stans to buy his novella to give him a half assed finale, and a collection of one shots without even knowing which ships they are about??
I mean, everyone does whatever they want with their money and good for you if you can afford spending 1000 dollars for 4 books, but I really feel that Cassandra is just exploiting her readers because there is no fucking way she can't afford the printing prices of these 4 books and that this price is 1000 dollars total. Probably the cost is about 250 total counting that the flower cards and Secrets of Blackthorn Hall are coloured, and the rest is just moneygrabbing.
Also I think she is really insulting her fans. Let's pretend I was interested in buying the short stories collection because I forgot that Cassandra treated like shit Gabrily and I want to read more about them, I should donate $1000+$60 of shipping+VAT only to find out that they aren't even in the ships of the book?
Ah, no, wait, there is the $500+$60 of shipping+VAT tier, that's a totally different story!!! /s
I repeat what I already said when I was asked my opinion about the idea of the kickstarter: this is the literal proof that it doesn't matter how much Cassandra can insult her fandom, disrespect her readers and exploit them, the fandom will never stop bending backwards for her, and the fact that already 40 people supported the 500 and 1000 dollars tiers just confirm what I said.

hii this may be weird but I read a one shot you published very long ago in ao3 with modern setting gabrily where they go to a date and watch fireworks, and wondered if you have ever thought on doing more random one shots in moderne setting? The idea of a modern day gabriel having his phone full of cecily is so cute to me
hi! yes i’ve totally thought about it and am happy to make more if people want them like yourself 🤓
gabriel strikes me as one of those guys whose phone looks like an abandoned wasteland and his IG has 3 pictures from 12 years ago and then when he does eventually post again it’s all pics of cecily
no other vibes from him. old man vibes

Gabrily Wedding
A/N: I’m sorry if there are a lot of terrible mistakes; my teachers thought it was fun to assign a bunch of work these past weeks, so I wasn’t able to edit it well. Hope you enjoy!!
Tumblr media
“I just think,” Will was saying, “Cecily is too young to know exactly what she wants in a husband.”
Gabriel glared at him.
“I told her she must wait, but you know Cecily, too stubborn for her own good.”
“Must be genetic.” Gabriel muttered.
“By the Angel, Lightworm. We’re going to be brothers.” Will shuttered.
“Please, do not remind me.” Gabriel said.
“With all of this bickering, you would think the two of you were getting married.” Sophie said, as she came into the room with little Barbara in her arms.
“As if I would lower my expectations and marry Lightworm.”
Gideon stood up and let Sophie slowly place Barbara in his arms. Gideon grinned down at his daughter and bounced her lightly, to get her to stop fussing. Sophie shook her head as Barbara immediately quieted in her father’s arms.
“I carry her for nine months, and this is how she repays me?”
“Tough love, Soph.” Will said.
“Tell me about it.” Sophie said as she planted a kiss on Barbara’s forehead. “How are you four getting along?”
“Terribly.” Will and Gabriel said at the same time as Henry and Gideon said ‘Wonderfully.’
“Well, that answer simply does not do me any good.”
“It’s going well,” Gideon said, not looking up from his daughter. “Since Will and Gabriel haven’t killed each other yet.”
“Oh, I see that as an improvement,” Sophie said.
“Indeed,” said Henry.
“Well, I’m off. Call me if a problem arises.” Sophie kissed Gideon’s cheek and slipped out of the room.
“Right, where were we?” Will said as Gideon sat down beside Henry with Barbara, “Oh, yes. Lightworm was just considering calling off the wedding and pursuing his life-long dream of living in a cave in the middle of nowhere, where he can never bother us again.”
“You wish to live in a cave?” Henry asked, looking up from where he was holding his finger out for Barbara to hold.
“No, I wish to marry William’s sister and do sinful things with her.”
Will paled and then turned red. “Don’t you dare, Lightwood.”
Gabriel looked away smiling.
“Gabriel, don’t discuss your private life with Cecily in front of Will. I would imagine it would be disgusting to think about it, seeing as she is his sister.” said Gideon.
“That’s not a problem. The problem is that Lightwood is doing sinful things to my sister.”
“With.” Gabriel corrected. “It’s a team effort.”
“Lightworm, I am going to kill you.”
“But it’s his wedding day.” said Henry.
“Better. The happiest day of his life will be his last.” said Will.
“As long as you don’t do it in front of Barbara; Sophie would never forgive me if I let her see that before she reaches the age of twenty four.” said Gideon.
“Why? What happens at twenty four?” Will asked.
“You do sinful things to your enemy’s sister.” said Henry, winking at Gabriel.
“Don’t encourage him, Henry!” Will said. “I thought you were on my side.”
Gabriel smiled at Henry.
Cecily was standing by the closed doors, waiting for Will to come and walk her down the aisle. She thought it was only fitting since her actual father could not be there; it was a Shadowhunter wedding after all, and since neither of her parents were strictly Shadowhunters, they could not be there. Will finally came in and smiled down at her.
“Cecily, ti’n edrych yn brydferth, fy chwaer.” He said.
“Thank you, Will, but I already knew that.” Cecily responded with a smile, which she felt fall. “I always thought they would be here for my wedding.”
Will pulled her in a warm hug.
“I wish Mam and Da were here, too.” Will said, “They would have loved to see it, even if you are marrying a Lightworm.”
“Gwilym, I swear, if you say one more thing—”
“I’m only joking, Cecy.” he said with a smile.
Cecily shook her head.
“Are you ready?”
She nodded.
The doors opened, and she locked eyes with Gabriel. Yes, this was going to be the start of a wonderful life.
And they walked.
It was over. The second everybody went home, Cecily and Gabriel locked eyes and ran up stairs.
Cecily stood in the middle of the room and Gabriel caught her in his arms.
“Mr. Lightwood.” Cecily smirked.
They sometimes called each other by “Mr. Lightwood” or “Ms. Herondale” and acted as thought they were lovers. Gabriel kissed her.
“My my, you really know how to sweep a woman off her feet, Mr. Lightwood.”
Gabriel lifted her into his arms and Cecily wrapped her legs around his waist.
“I do, don’t I, Ms. Herondale?”
They kissed for a while, relishing this moment they got to share before Cecily pulled away. She lifted her hands and pulled out what was holding in her bun. Her silky black hair fell in waves around her face, framing it so beautifully, Gabriel bit back the urge to kiss her again. She held up the “thing”, which Gabriel soon realized was a stele.
“Shall we?”
It took Gabriel a moment to realize she was talking about applying the wedding runes. They had already put on the one over the hand, though Nephilim tradition called for a rune over the heart as well.  Gabriel nodded. Cecily carefully undid the buttons of his shirt, but looked confused when it didn’t completely fall away.
“Cecy?” Gabriel said, “I think your sitting in it.”
Cecily look down and then laughed. She shifted and the material fell to the floor. “There we go.”
Then her face became masked in concentration as she carefully drew on the rune. Gabriel couldn’t help but think that he never wanted anyone else to apply his runes; only Cecy can put on a rune like that. When she finished she examined the rune and smiled at him. They shared a kiss.
“My turn!” She put the stele behind Gabriel’s ear.
Gabriel put her down on the bed, kicked off his shoes and grabbed the stele. He willed his hands to stop shaking as he placed the stele over her heart and began to draw. Cecily looked up at him through her thick eyelashes and, as though she sensed his restlessness, cradled his face with her hand.
“My silly Gabriel. Don’t forget to breathe.”
Gabriel had, in fact, forgotten to release his breath and exhale quickly. Cecily grinned widely. Gabriel finally finished and they both admired the matching runes.
“Alright, that’s enough.” Cecily said and she drew Gabriel closer to her.
Gabriel and Cecily both gasped for air, which was strange, considering they were both Shadowhunters and, supposedly, had supernatural stamina.
“By the Angel.” Gabriel said.
“Where did you learn how to do that, Lightwood?”
Gabriel shrugged. Cecily locked eyes with him and giggled.
“What are you laughing at?” Gabriel asked, kissing her nose.
“Hello, lover.” Cecily said with a smile
“I have been demoted to your lover?”
Cecily shook her head. “promoted.”
Gabriel shook his head.
“Still, I would say that was an 8.”
“8!?”
“8.5.”
“You not satisfied with that?”
“For now. But I suppose with practice, you will naturally get better.”
“Cecily Herondale, you are impossible.”
Cecily threw her hands up. “You signed up for this!”
“I know.” He kissed her temple.
They lay there for a while.
“Gabriel?”
“Yes, love?”
“When are we having our first baby?”
Gabriel’s eye widened and he quickly turned to look at his wife.
“I should hope not for another five years or so.” He said.
“Perfect, we have time.”
“For what?”
Cecily raised her eyebrows.
“Oh, for that.” Gabriel said.
Cecily laughed and softly elbowed him.
“You’re catching on, Mr. Lightwood.”
“What can I say, you’re a terrible influence on me, Mrs. Lightwood.” Gabriel pulled her close.
They both stared up at the ceiling for a while.
“I think I liked Herondale better.”
“I’ll have to agree with you,” Cecily turned to him, “but I like you more.”
“I am glad to hear to value our marriage over your maiden name.”
Cecily smirked. All of a sudden slapped her hands against her eyes and giggled.
“Cecy? What’s wrong, Cecy?”
She peeled her hands away from her face and flashed Gabriel with a radiant grin.
“We’re married!”
Gabriel nodded. Cecily threw herself in his arms.
“We are husband and wife!”
“Yes,” Gabriel said, “why are you acting as though you just found out?”
“Because I cannot believe it!”
Gabriel kissed her forehead.
“Neither can I.”
