寿命

28歳は、妙に懐かしい夢と猛烈な歯痛ではじまった。

左上顎辺りに微細な違和感を持ちながら仮眠をとると、起きる頃には地獄のような苦痛となって顔の左側を覆っていた。

夢の中では親父がギターを弾いていて、その姿を見に行く自分自身を俯瞰で見ていた。あれは自分だったのか？夢に居た自分をぼんやり観ていると、これまたぼんやりと顔が昔の自分に寄っていくように変わっていった。

あれは自分になる前、一体誰だったのだろう。

親父は懐かしい曲を楽しそうに弾いていた。オリジナルソング、なにか大きな川の話が出てくる曲だった気がする。裏打ちのギター。

27歳は激動の年だった。

仕事を辞めてフリーランスになった。本格的に社会からの後ろ盾がない立場は、体が軽くなったようでふわふわとした不安定な気持ちになった。

音源を2枚ほど出した。SOAのFIND、ANYOのFACT。SOAの方は横浜と大阪でワンマンを敢行して、有り難いことにお客さんが集まった。ANYOはこの速度でリリースを続けられているという状態が嬉しい。割と「聞いたよ」って声も頂いていて、19の頃からの積み重ねが少しずつ形になっているような気がした。

FUJIROCK FESTIVALに出演した。これは今までの経験の中で最も夢に近い出来事で、恐らく今後も覆ることのないファクターとなるだろう。憧れた彼らと同じ地で演奏を許されている事に心が熱くなって、演奏後には「生きていて良かった」と呟いた。人が初めて、「自分が興味を持っていること」に興味を持ってくれたような気がした。

the sankhwaの企画が満員御礼となった。SocoreFactoryの縦長のフロアに人が沢山居て、なんだかとても嬉しかった。自分達が「どうだ、良いだろう」というモノを「ええ、良いですね」と言ってもらえている気分で、少しだけ安心した。MUSIC FROM THE MARSのリハーサルに参加した。ドラムを叩いていてよかった、曲を沢山聞いていて良かった、と心から思った。

「螺旋境にて」という地獄のようなイベントを企画した。寺田町Fireloopの安井、松川両氏に手伝ってもらいながらの敢行であったが、第一回という感じの拙いイベントだった。拘りを貫いて、自らに楔を刺すように企画を進行した。自分の好きな「カルチャーのごった煮」みたいなイベントになったと思っている。なんとか続けたい気持ちはあるが、恐らく28歳中には行えないので温めておくことにする。

ghostpartyチームと沢山の映像を録り、録音をした。配信や、外国人アーティストの撮影も行った。拙い英語でやり取りする自分が滑稽で、せめて英語は話せるようになろうと心の底でぼんやりと思った。ニコニコ動画で「変拍子/ポストロック作業用BGM」を聴いていた頃の自分に、「数年後そのアーティストのライブを録るんだよ」とこっそり耳打ちしたい気持ちになった。

沢山機材を買った。殆ど破滅的と言っても良い程の衝動で、マイクや電源、椅子やプラグインを買った。楽器も少しだけ買った。未だ見ぬ理想の音源像を求めて、果てることのない先行投資を始めた気分だ。

ぐんぐんと視力が落ちた。未だ落ち続けている気がする。風邪も治りづらく、怪我は痕が残るようになった。先人たちが「どんどん治りが遅くなるよ」と教えてくれたので、少しだけ自愛するようにしようと思った。

激動の27歳。その殆どが自分だけでは成り得ない事ばかりだ。どこかの偉い人が「生きているのではなく生かされているのだ」と言っていた気がするが、今更になってその言葉が身に沁みる。引き続きあらゆる人達に楽しいことを引っ張ってきてもらって、自分からも楽しいことを提供し続けれたら良いなあと思っている。なんとも厚顔甚だしいが、何卒宜しくお願い申し上げたい所存である。27歳が霞むほど楽しい28歳にするべく、動ける限り動こう。

あと何年こうして生きていられるのだろうか。キリンジのお兄ちゃんも、「時間がない」と言っている。全くその通りだ。身体が動く限り動いて、心が何も考えられなくなるまで楽しいことを考えよう。最期の最期まで楽しいことをして、「あー疲れた」といって死ぬまで、きっとあっという間だ。
