Do you think in predominately ghoul populated societies that barely have any interaction with humans (like Underworld for instance), that they've probably got their own little kind of culture going on? Or that maybe ghouls in general inherently develop these little social quirks in relation to how mutations have changed them that makes them stand out differently from humans, and not just in a physical way?
Maybe some ghouls even have their own standards of beauty for what they consider attractive amongst their kind (or just in general). Maybe deeper scars are considered more attractive in ghoul societies because it makes them look less human.
Soo, is there potential interest in a TouKen Zine? 🥺💞
I want to see if it's even worth thinking about and if there is enough interest to plan one, so any reblogs and comments are very welcomed and would help me a lot!
Please also vote in the poll below for me to see the rough interest for one <33
(FYI: Nowadays a fanzine is a collaboration between multiple artists, writers or other creatives with a certain focus, may it be a character, ship or any media. After everyone has finished a piece, it can be sold as a physical book with merch or be kept digital or a mix of both.)
All That's Left follows two journalists and their friends in post-apocalyptic United States as they travel from the fallen east coast megalopolis Opportunity back to Los Angeles, crossing through a harsh wasteland overrun with zombies— only to find out that there is a lot more life left than what the protected cities want them to believe. On their journey they meet dozens of people living their lives as peaceful as possible away from military forces, corporations, and corrupt governments; and they learn that the same mutated ghouls that took down Opportunity are spreading rapidly through the country, destroying everything in their path.
Will this finally be the end of the world as we know it?
you know what actually. jet star wouldn’t use labels. desertborn resident sandpup jet star would not use labels. he doesn’t understand them. to people like party and ghoul, labels are important, and for their sake jet tries to understand why. he thinks maybe after all those years in the city and on the pills, living under bli’s thumb, they need to take back whatever parts of themselves they can. maybe that’s their way of reclaiming and reinventing themselves fully. after all, he grew up watching the endless streams of runaways trickling out from the city. he knows by this time that there is no greater joy for a debut album than relishing in the discovery of themselves- and this, the act of creation, is often their first act of rebellion. for them, knowing what you are and owning it is rebellion unto itself, and people like party and ghoul are no different. but jet star doesn’t need a label to know himself, and he doesn’t think he ever will. he doesn’t conform to any box or binary. he knows himself- he always has, no matter how much it changes- and that’s enough for him. he is “queer as in fuck you” incarnate.
