I would like to hear about it :]
GASP!
YAYYY
OKAY OKAY OKAY HEAR ME OUT— (disturbing themes below)
In the CFAU, most of the TSAMS cast is a bunch of extended family. However, the “main” cousins (non-distant ones) are Lunar, Solar and Jack, all brothers. I still want Solar to have that little bit of trauma, but where to fit his traumatizer? Then it hit me.
Make him their father.
To explain, Solar’s Moon is not abusive because of the loss of a brother. He don’t give a SHIT about his brothers. This is about the loss of his WIFE. Solar’s Moon, Gibbus, had a wife named Sunflower. She died giving birth to Jack.
Jack was immediately put into foster care and they sent Lunar to live with his cousins (for Eclipse trauma along w/ Sun, Moon, and the BM twins). Solar was the only one that stayed. For some reason, idk just yet, Gibbus blames Solar for Sunflower’s death.
So, over the years, Gibbus forced Solar to help him sew her arms and head onto his body. Yeah. Great way to help a child deal with trauma.
But guess what? Though he’s WITHOUT A DOUBT CRAZY, he’s free to just exist. Why? Because there’s no mental health policies for their species yet. He’s been banned from family reunions.
Thank you for listening to my rant lol :)

Random witchy shit the lads have to put up with
Tumblr media
Leo
"Do you have any hair?"
"What? Hair? No I'm a mutated turtle, I don't have hair"
"Ok what about nail clippings?"
"Why the fuck do you want my nail clippings?"
you just sigh and walk away
telling him to put a crystal in his pocket and threatening that if he loses it and dies you're going to do some necromancy shit and beat his ass
he can't sleep so you get out your lavender infused oil and give him a massage
then he's pissed that he overslept and you're just like "Sorry I'm very powerful, next time I'll let your insomnia continue!"
he has a thing about fingerprints on mirrors so one of your most long running arguments is you writing sigils in the fog on the bathroom mirror
Tumblr media
Raph
running into his room, clearly het up "What fucking moon phase is it tonight?"
he checks his phone and is like "A waning gibbus"
you practically screech "FUCK!" and run off again
he's kind of into it tho, always asking astrology shit like "What planet is it that's making me so annoyed today?"
you're just like "Earth, baby. It's earth"
he finds your collection of bones and teeth, he was not happy about you keeping them in his room
"But what if I need to call on those spirits to protect you out on patrol? Did you ever think of that?"
His room is messy as fuck and you do a lot of candle magic
have defo almost burnt down his room on at least 4 seperate occasions
Tumblr media
Mikey
"Can you do a spell that will get me free pizza?"
"I could just buy you a pizza?"
"No, it's more fun if I know magic was involved"
you had to enchant his nunchucks because he kept hitting himself in the face with them
"Don't ask any questions, I need to know the time you were born"
he tells you, you go on your phone for a minute furiously typing and then say "How dare you be an Aquarius Venus. How could you do that to me?"
he looks around the lair for 2 hours trying to find the laces to one of his shoes
only to find you doing knot magic with it
"I was in a pinch and this was the only knotable thing I could find"
"Baby, I need to put on my shoes..."
Tumblr media
Donnie
you turn everything he says into a problem because you find it funny
like he says "Bombastic side eye" when you say something out of pocket
and so, of course, you say "Did you just give me the evil eye? You 100% just evil eye'd me! You cursed me!"
taking his poptarts to give as offerings
that one really annoys him because somehow you always take the last one
and you won't let him eat it after, you just chuck it out when the deity is done wit it.
he meditates sometimes to get to sleep
and keeps waking up covered in and surrounded by your crystals
"I thought they'd relax you! Sorry I have a tight pussy and brilliant ideas I guess..."
"I just pulled the 7 of swords so who the fuck are you cheating on me with?"
he cannot win with you

New research alert! In 2019, Museum researchers David Gruber and John Sparks were diving in the icy waters surrounding Greenland when they discovered that the variegated snailfish (Liparis gibbus) glows. This tiny snailfish remains the only polar fish reported to biofluoresce. Now, in a recently published study, they have uncovered something else surprising: this fish contains the highest expression of antifreeze proteins ever observed. It also sends up a red flag about how these highly specialized animals might fare in warming environmental conditions. Read more about their findings with the link in our bio! Of Two Worlds (Book 3)
Fushiguro Megumi x Half-Curse! Reader
Chapter One: Dance
Summary: (Y/N) enters the Culling Game and finds her first fight.
(Y/N) and Megumi went hand-in-hand into the Culling Game barrier. They kept their grips tight, but the moment they stepped into the clouded future before them, they were ripped apart. (Y/N) and Megumi tried to keep ahold of one another, but the force of the Culling Game was too strong, and their hands broke apart.
Megumi! (Y/N) reached out for him, but he disappeared from her view as the Culling Game carried them to different places within the game.
When her sight cleared, (Y/N) was falling through the air above skyscrapers. She turned in the air and flipped out her hands.
            Lunar Cycle: Half Moon
(Y/N)’s war fans appeared, and she struck downwards with them. Cursed energy flared from the blade edges and slowed her fall so she landed and rolled to her feet. As she looked around herself, (Y/N) didn’t let her fans disappear. She was in the Culling Game, after all. The other participants would be waiting to pick off new arrivals.
The street (Y/N) had landed in was quiet, though. No one was around. Or, no one alive. (Y/N) could see blood staining the ground at different intervals. Fighting had occurred here, that much was for certain.
Her eyes narrowed as she moved forward, and she kept her grip on her fans tight. She rolled her wrists, keeping them loose for proper movement in the fight. (Y/N) had stretched before she, Itadori, and Megumi had headed for the Culling Game, but it wouldn’t do to allow herself to tighten up and not move with the agility needed to survive. (Y/N) had grown up in jujutsu society long enough to understand that every day could be life or death.
A slight breeze stirred the trees on the sidewalk, and (Y/N) blinked as it brushed over the bare skin of her hands. It didn’t chill her—indeed, nothing could since she was naturally cold to the touch—but it was a new sensation. After all, until that night at the fireside with Itadori, Yuuta, and Megumi, she had worn her gloves.
Now her hands were bare. She had shed and burned the remnants of the mask the elders had forced upon her. (Y/N) refused to cover up who she was anyone. She was (L/N) (Y/N), daughter of the curse user (L/N) (M/N) and curse of the night Nox. She was half-curse, the Halfing. She was more than human, more than curse.
(Y/N) was ready to embrace that. The light shining on her full set of curse marks—crescent, half, gibbus, and full moons from her wrist up her forearm—showed how far she’d come. She had fought curse after curse, watched friend after friend get hurt or die, faced defeat and tragedy. She had mourned and cried and bled for her strength. (Y/N) would not hide all that she had achieved from all she had sacrificed.
She narrowed her eyes and paused in her walk to find people (hopefully Megumi, Itadori or Higuram, in that order). Two nearly identical cursed energies were nearby. Some people might go towards them, happy to find others alive in the Culling Game, but (Y/N) was not most. In her life experience, meeting new people often meant danger. In Kenjaku’s game? It most certainly meant danger.
But (Y/N) knew danger by heart. She pivoted the instant the cursed energies flew out from their hiding places around the houses, and (Y/N) blocked the kicks aimed at her, one foot connecting with each of her fans. She pushed back with curse-like strength, and the pair of attackers flipped back gracefully.
They landed in a practiced pose, a boy a bit older than (Y/N) holding a girl’s waist while she rested on pointe shoes. They sported identically lean builds, blond hair, and green eyes. The only difference was that the boy wore a dance outfit with a suit jacket of white with gold detailing and the girl wore a white, feathered outfit and tutu. Both had red staining their white outfits. Blood.
            “Kogane.”
(Y/N)’s Kogane popped up beside her. “Yes?” it chirped.
“Give me their information,” said (Y/N).
“Beaumont Aurelie. Points: 17,” said Kogane. “Beaumont Aurele. Points: 12.”
“Looking up information on us?” Aurelia scoffed, and she put a hand on her waist. “You should know who we are by sight. We are famed professionals.”
“You should be asking for our autographs by now,” said Aurele pompously.
“I don’t care.” (Y/N) went straight to the point as usual.
“How rude,” scoffed Aurelia. “You should learn some proper manners.”
“We should teach her some manners, sister,” said Aurele, smirking.
            “Indeed, brother,” said Aurelia.
Twins. (Y/N)’s eyes narrowed. Twins were somewhat of a curse in jujutsu society, abilities and techniques weakened and split between them since the jujutsu world and laws seemed to regard them as a single person. This pair of siblings was together, though. Their technique and teamwork would make them formidable opponents. However, if (Y/N) defeated one, the other wouldn’t have their other half.
            Which one is weaker.
(Y/N) looked between the two. Until she saw them fight, she couldn’t be sure. So, she’d have to deal with two enemies for a bit. That was fine, too. (Y/N) needed a chance to see how far her new abilities and power could take her.
“Pas de Deux!” said the twins in perfect synchronization.
The ballet and pointe shoes they wore blazed with cursed energy, and they moved.
(Y/N) dodged the leap of Aurelia, which surely would have broken her skull if it connected. Aurelia landed and pirouetted, sending an arc of cursed energy out with her movements. (Y/N) batted it away with her war fans, keeping her own cursed energy up to deflect Aurelia’s.
Aurele’s speed was as intense as Aurelia’s. (Y/N)’s eyes followed his movements carefully, and even as he danced around (Y/N) and left dangerous trails of cursed energy behind, (Y/N) dodged backwards, leaping with gymnastic practice, not as elegant as the dancers but a more practiced fighter.
The twins met up after their failed attack, and Aurelia leaned into an arabesque with Aurele. They were in a fight, but they continued their dance.
Their technique. (Y/N) watched them keep to perfect ballet positions, poised for a pas de deux and a fight of three. They need to keep the dance going to keep their power. She shifted her footwork, readying to attack. I need to disrupt it.
            “What terrible form,” scoffed Aurelia.
“She’s never danced, I can tell,” said Aurele haughtily.
“Not that she could,” said Aurelia. “I can tell by the way she moves she has no grace. She moves like an elephant.”
            “No poise whatsoever,” agreed Aurele.
(Y/N) really didn’t understand what they were going on about, but she guessed they were trying to insult her. Unfortunately for them, (Y/N) could handle people being rude. Honestly, if someone just said something cruel to her instead of trying to kill her, that was a good day for (Y/N).
“Poise doesn’t win a fight.” (Y/N) spoke succinctly, getting straight to the point as usual.
Aurelia narrowed her eyes. “A lady should always show perfect elegance! Even in battle, they should be a beautiful sight as enemies fall before them.”
(Y/N) considered for a moment. “No, that doesn’t sound right.” It was the sort of statement Maki would scoff at and Megumi would find annoying. (Y/N) disregarded it.
“How dare you!” said Aurelia, aghast. “How dare you accuse me of being incorrect?”
“My sister is never wrong,” said Aurele. “She is a perfect lady, just as I am a perfect gentleman, and she clearly knows more than you.”
“You’ve killed. I’ve killed. None of us are special,” said (Y/N).
“Not special?! I am the greatest dancer in the world!” Aurelia attacked, spinning forward with practiced ease like moving across a dancefloor.
She extended a leg and leapt by (Y/N), and she barely managed to block at Aurelia’s speed and force of her enraged cursed energy. Having already moved into position, Aurele caught Aurelia and tossed her back into the air. Aurelia slammed cursed energy up in a sharp slash as she kicked her leg up. (Y/N) was thrown back, and she flipped back to her feet. The moment her shoes were on the street again, Aurele was behind her and swept her feet from under her. (Y/N) stumbled, and Aurele grabbed her wrist as if drawing her into a dance and threw her into the street, cracking the street with the force.
(Y/N) gritted her teeth as she felt rocks cut through her and bruises form. Still, she had waited long enough to attack. She saw their attacks and how they fought. It was (Y/N)’s turn.
Aurelia ran and jumped into Aurele’s hands. He lifted her above him, and she posed with one shoe pointed at her knee and the other extended. Cursed energy sharpened into a blade at the tip of her pointe shoe, now quite a literal definition.
Aurele let go of Aurelia, and she fell down with her blade poised to stab (Y/N).
            Lunar Cycle: New Moon.
The fans in (Y/N)’s hands turned to daggers, and she slashed through Aurelia’s leg. The ballerina screamed at the sudden pain while (Y/N) rolled out from beneath her and rolled backwards to her feet.
“Aurelia!” cried Aurele, supporting her. “How dare you!”
“Filthy plebeian!” cried Aurelia. “You’ve ruined my tights!”
She moved towards (Y/N) and stumbled as her leg ached. The sparks of cursed energy around her and her brother diminished as the perfect Pas de Deux was disrupted. Their technique faltered.
Aurele had full use of his limbs though and ran towards (Y/N), cursed energy flaming at his hands and feet as his shoes spurred him forward. (Y/N) wasn’t concerned, though. Aurelia was the more dangerous fighter. Aurele played a supporting role. (Y/N) could handle him.
(Y/N) pivoted and sliced through Aurele as he attacked, leaning back as he swung at them. The edge of the cursed energy struck, and (Y/N) was forced to go farther back. She bent back to her hands and kicked Aurele back as she did a back walkover. However little (Y/N) cared for grace when fighting for her life, it came to her with ease.
Aurele’s arms bled, and Aurelia’s tights were stained with her blood. The twins glared at (Y/N), and she regarded them coolly. No one moved.
(Y/N) tilted her head and blinked. “Are you going to say something?”
“What!? You want us to speak to someone like you?” demanded Aurelia.
“I thought you liked talking,” said (Y/N). Aurele and Aurelia glared at her, taking her straightforward statement as an insult. (Y/N) crouched. “But I prefer to get this over with.” She had their weaknesses and fighting style. “Lunar Cycle: Full Moon.” Her daggers erupted into flame.
She leapt at them, throwing one dagger at Aurele as he moved forward. He dodged, but (Y/N) reformed it in her hand, and at the same moment she arrived on him and slashed with her original blade, she threw the other one at Aurelia. The ballerina was forced back for a moment while (Y/N) handled Aurele. He struck at her, and she felt a cut open up on her side, but she paid it no mind. The Halfling gave them no moment of rest, and (Y/N) cut through Aurele’s legs. He crumbled, unable to stand as muscle and tendons were cut through. He cried out as the icy silver flames ate at his skin, left over from (Y/N)’s attack.
The moment he fell to the ground, (Y/N) turned on Aurelia as she finished dodging the thrown dagger. It dissolved into moonlight and reformed in (Y/N)’s hand as she ran forward. Aurelia pirouetted on her good leg in a furious tornado of shining cursed energy. (Y/N) grit her teeth as the slices of cursed energy cut at her sides and legs and changed direction. She dropped to her knees and slid past Aurelia, leaning back beneath her extended leg and sharp pointe shoes. She sunk both her daggers into Aurelia’s remaining leg, pivoted off of her knees, and twisted around Aurelia’s standing leg. The daggers tore through ligament and chipped at bone. Flames of silver rushed through muscle, and Aurelia collapsed with a strangled cry of utter agony as her leg was destroyed.
(Y/N) didn’t give her another look and spun to her feet, turning only to observe the damage she had done. Without their dance partner or their legs, Aurelia and Aurele were unable to use their cursed technique or even walk. (Y/N) sported various cuts and bruises, but she stood straight.
The only question was what to do with Aurelia and Aurele. The only options were to kill them to gain points or leave them there to be picked off by the next Culling Game participant who came along.
(Y/N)’s Kogane popped up suddenly, and two appeared beside Aurelia and Aurele as well. “A player has added a rule to the Culling Game!” said all three. “Rule 10. Plays may transfer a number of points of their choosing to another player.”
(Y/N) smiled slightly. Itadori or Megumi had found Higurama and gotten him to add a rule. Good. That meant they were onto the next portion of their plan: save Tsumiki.
(Y/N) face became expressionless once more as her eyes slid to Aurelia and Aurele, who paled.
“W-Wait, you probably want points right?!” said Aurelia.
“We’ll give you all of ours!” said Aurele.
(Y/N) walked over to them and knelt by them. “Do you know what I find odd?” Aurelia and Aurele exchanged confused and concerned looks. “Terrible humans who do terrible things are always the first to cower when faced with the same cruelty they handed out to others without a care.”
“W-We won’t hurt anyone else!” said Aurele.
“Yes! We’ll just go back to peacefully dancing!” agreed Aurelia eagerly. “You can have our points and our word!”
            “Humans lie,” said (Y/N).
            Schick! Schick!
“But you won’t be hurting anyone else.”
Aurelia and Aurele’s unseeing eyes stared up at the sky, their bodies lying on the abandoned street as a soft breeze stirred the trees.
            “You have won ten points.”
l
(Y/N) continued through the streets of the colony she was stuck in. Hopefully, she’d find Megumi or Itadori soon. It would be better to fight in a group than alone while other participants, having been there longer, made alliances to take out people working alone. That, and (Y/N) missed Megumi. She liked being beside him. It meant she could protect him.
“(Y/…” A rumble that sounded like the beginning of her name made her pause.
She looked around, and nothing was to the sides. She turned her face upward, and there it was. A strange curse with a caterpillar-like body floating above. As soon as the light hit her face, it moved. It was fast, faster than the dancing twins, almost faster than (Y/N) could track. It slammed into her, and (Y/N) hit a building behind with a resounding thud. She fell to the ground and pushed herself back up, spitting out blood.
The head of the caterpillar was encased in the same rocky structure as the rest, and it broke off to show a vague face, like the remnants of humanity clinging to a mask. Eyes rimmed in eyeliner, sharp and cruel, gazed upon (Y/N).
            “Hello…Halfling,” said the curse.
            (Y/N) blinked.
“I told you…I would kill you when I came back,” said the cursed spirit of Zenin Naoya.

Snailfish With Anti-Freeze In It's Veins Found Beneath Greenland Iceberg
A snailfish (Liparis gibbus) with the "highest expressions levels" of bioluminescent green anti-freeze proteins in its veins has been found by scientists drilling into an iceberg off Greenland.
The anti-freeze proteins work the same way that anti-freeze in cars works. It regulates the temperature of the organism . How, you say? Well, the proteins stick to the surface of ice crystals and slow them, preventing them for growing larger. Fish, unlike other cold blooded organisms, cannot survive when bodily fluids freeze, so grains of ice form in their cells, freezing them from the inside out. The anti-freeze stops this.
Even more extraordinary than the snailfish's ability to produce the anti-freeze, it exhibits biofluorescence (the ability to convert blue light into green, red, or yellow light, typically used during extended periods of darkness, like those at the poles). This characteristic is normally found in fish swimming in warmer waters, and this is the first reported case of an arctic fish species displaying it.
However, due to warming water temperatures caused by climate change, warmer water species can migrate further north now, creating more competition for the snailfish, making it's anti-freeze proteins slightly unnecessary.
This extraordinary little creature certainly has provided us with some food for thought about how organisms adapt to their environments.
