I’d Do Anything
“You didn’t have to do that…” you smiled. He drowsily shook his head, grinning.
“No problem,” he smirked.
Actually, it was a problem.
At least to you.
He’d taken a massive hit for you.
You were still wondering why the boys were attempting to play dodgeball with a basketball, for one. You were so close to being in the position he was, sprawled out on a cot, but he saved you.
“Does it still hurt?” You laid your hand on his.
“Meh,” he murmured. “Not really.” His swelling, bruised forehead said otherwise. Jalen Hairr had the best arm out of anyone in your PE class, so when that ball was flying toward you, you thought it’d be the end.
“Are you sure?” you softly cooed.
“Yeah yeah.” His eyes sleepily wandered around the room, his drunken laugh making your heart flutter. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you nodded. "Just shaken up, haha."
"Right..."
Silence.
“Do you want me to leave?” He tilted his head up, smiling. “Or-”
“No no… Stay.”
Forcing away a dopey giggle, you shifted on the small stool to make yourself more comfortable. You could tell your presence made him relax more, but he still winced like he was in terrible pain.
“Alrighty then!” You laughed at his dramatic swoon. “Not for long. Mrs. Ortega’s gonna make me leave.”
“What’s your next class?”
“Pre-calc...", you grimaced. “Honors.”
“Damn. Pretty and smart?” He chortled, his eyes weary. You both made eye contact for a split second- it almost seemed like he got lost in yours.
"Maybe that ball hit you harder than we thought." You tried laughing it off. He'd never say that to you if he was in his right mind. Right?
"Maybe."
Mhm.
"You know I'd do anything for you." he chuckled.
"Hm?"
He turned away from you... as if just realizing what he'd said.
"It's true-" he whispered. "I would."
"Oh... That's great to know."
Seriously? oH, tHaT's GrEaT tO kNoW!
Stupid.
"You really would?" you quirked.
"Of course. Who wouldn't? Y-You're amazing." He shook his head, still not looking you in the eye, like he was in a daze. The daze of your beauty. The daze of how happy you made him.
"You're amazing."
He made you smile, and you finally met his eyes again.
You playfully tugged on his finger, him returning the favor by lightly kicking your foot.
"AH- I've been hit!"
"A soldier is down. I repeat a soldier is down!' He boasted in his deep commander voice, grinning like a kid.
"T-tell my husband I love h- bleh. And death."
He laughed at your antics. Maybe getting hit in the forehead with an extremely hard basketball wasn't so bad after all.

Will and Hannibal are shown to be very respectable and calculated people throughout the show, but when you REALLY get down to it, they are both such dumbasses like,
Hannibal made the conscious decision to frame Will for murder and get him sent to prison and just....didn't realise that he wouldn't be able to talk like they used to?!?! You see the longing in his face as he looks at Will's empty chair like :'/
LIKE SIR YOU DID THAT?!?
Then on the other hand you've got Will, who plotted for Hannibal's downfall/capture for an entire season before getting cold feet literally moments before go time and giving Hannibal the heads up to run because he finally realised that a big part of him cared about Hannibal and didn't ACTUALLY want him in jail.

Actually? I think it’s a great idea. Look… I know I say that I never wanted a Xena reboot or a Charmed reboot or a Buffy reboot. … but that’s different. They weren’t based on books originally. Harry Potter was. And yes, I would absolutely love for them to at least fix Ron. Because Ron is my favourite Harry Potter character but his whole characterisation in the movies was all wrong. They made him out to be not just the idiot comic relief but also cruel to Hermione when that was actually Harry in the books. Sure, Harry was brave but he was nowhere near that civil and likeable in the books. But Ron was. In fact Ron was very much like Hermione which is why I always say I couldn’t ship him and Hermione as a couple in the movies. They were just too toxic and condescending to each other but in the books - they had something beautiful. And yeah, I would really like a visual improvement on that.
I think we should give other actors the chance to portray our favourite characters all over again and see if they actually get it right this time. No disrespect to Radcliffe, Grint and Watson. They just followed a script. I know that. But yeah - the movies do not match up anywhere near to the greatness that is J.K. Rowling’s vision from the books. I watched the movies and I did enjoy them but I wasn’t obsessed with them.
I was with the books. And I think a TV show format retelling of the vision of the books is a great idea.

anyways i noticed you kin Saiki K! as a major fan of the anime, finding yandere content of it is a struggle so i wish you to consider this idea that has been rotting in my mind for god knows how long: platonic yandere saiki k who is best friends with Shigeo Kageyama-eque reader.
Imagine being this powerful esper who is just so pure, slightly head empty and believes the best in people, best friends someone who's just so done with the constant bs they deal with. the shenanigans caused by saiki trying to preserve your "normalness" and protecting you from these weirdos who claim to be his friends is just a recipe for disaster
is this a crossover? idk but it an idea. idk if i should write it since its so self-indulgent lol
You should definitely write it!! I feel like fanfiction in general is self indulgent to some extent, so you should write whatever makes you happy!

Thinking about Weird Barbie and how she's the very obviously queer outsider of the Barbie world, she straddles the lines between Barbie and the Real World. She's the most aware of the performative nature of it all. She supports Barbie while also gently mocking her panic at losing the hyperfeminine perfection. Her weird house is also home to the discontinued reject weird Barbies, the outcasts (including very gay earring Ken) who never fell into either the original matriarchy or the Kentriarchy brainwashing.
The other more classically heteronormative and beautiful Barbies both pity and fear her, and at first the narrative pities her as well. She's the vessel of girls going weird and crazy and feral on their dolls and that's amazing. Weird Barbie is aware of who she is and how the world sees her and she loves it. She's Weird Barbie and She Owns It.
