Home Alone 1 through to 5 for #moviemonday First, let me just say how creepy this image is. It's worse when they're vertical, I promise 😅 Home Alone 1 & 2: 9/10 They're classics, have nostalgia, and Kevin kicks ass and wins. Marv and Harry aren't complete idiots but are bested by an 8 year old and a 10 year old (a year later?! My headcanon is Kevin's birthday is Christmas) 🤷 Marv should have died several times over in the second movie. The second have Harry and Marv more bumbling than in the first, but it works for the comedy 💀 (iykyk) Home Alone 3: 7.5/10 Alex is stuck home with chickenpox, defeats not two or three, but four villains who are shown as idiots despite the FBI chasing them for 7 bloody years. More technology is involved in this, to the point where Alex might not have been able to win without it. Shoutout to baby Scarlett Johansson! Home Alone 4: 0/10 and it needs to die in a fire (spoilers) They brought back Kevin with a new kid. He only has two siblings (Buzz and Megan) despite there being 5 McCallister kids, Kate and Peter are getting divorced (but get together back in the end, which is shitty storytelling), and Peter's new girlfriend has a "smart house" that's due to be robbed by... Marv and his wife. I hated everything about this movie and watched half of it on fast forward but it didn't get better. This Kevin wouldn't have won without technology and is an embarrassment to the original. HA1&2 Kevin would have kicked this Kevin's ass and I would've paid to watch 😒 Home Alone 5: 5/10 Finn and his family have moved to a (haunted) house in Maine; Finn is obsessed with video games, terrified of everything outside of that, and his older sister is obsessed with her phone. (Technology bad! 😱) Art thieves are looking to get into their house, and Finn is the only one who can stop them.
