The song honey and glass is amazing for so many reasons but I think the main reason I love it it because someone doesn’t have to be pretty and appear perfect to you in order for you to idolize them. You can see someone’s flaws and think they are the ugliest person but you can still consider them honey and glass for lack of a better term. I’m running spotlight for my schools choral concert and there’s a junior who runs the lights for every production the school puts on because they know how to work the lights and nobody else wants to learn. They are needed and they are irreplaceable. I want that. I know they have flaws, like the fact that they have tried to off themselves, but they seem to fit in. They know their place. It’s just envy but it feels like more than that. It feels sharper. I don’t know how to describe it. Sorry for the long ramble. The song is honey and glass by Peyton Cardoza by the way.

Craziest thing my supervisor ever told me is that the kind of enthusiasm I have for mealworms is not as common as I think it is. I kinda just figured everyone at the Bug Farming DepartmentTM was here for the bugs, but apparently a lot of people are just here for the farming. Getting excited about bugs for bugs' sake is apparently a rare thing in the agricultural departement - most people are more interested in how to use bugs, or even Number Go Up, which I've never been that interested in. No wonder my supervisor keeps agreeing to my insane projects, pushing me to publish my half-finished theses, and talking over time in our meetings. It must be like a breath of fresh air for her.

I saw someone talking about Yellow being the colour they put Shannon (Chris' mom) in a lot and the fact that Buck didn't start wearing yellow till after she died.

The 911 costume designer said that they are very deliberate with their clothes and the colours and that they have meaning....

So I noticed that there are 2 very important times we see Buck in yellow (and it's the same shade)

During the will scene...

And in 7x01 when he's talking to Chris....

(the images are low quality so it looks brown but it's more of a deep yellow)

So both of these are significant scenes for the co-parenting arc (which we already knew) but the thing is both times Buck is wearing yellow in a scene something major shifts in terms of his relationship to Christopher and Eddie.

In the will scene, he moved up from just some guy who spends time with Chris and Eddie, and he's told he has legal claim to Chris should something happen. He's literally legally given a spot as part of Christopher's (and Eddie's) family.

In the scene in 7.01 he's having a talk with Chris and it gets deep. So Buck is now seen actively parenting this teen. He's taking a step up from 'fun uncle' and he's being called in to deal with actual problems in their family. Again he's wearing yellow. So does this mean he's getting another promotion this season.... maybe to Dad?🙈🙈
