Is it worth it? An analysis on Louis’ stunts

Lately there has been a shift in how Louis’ stunts are being presented to the fandom, with babygate mentions growing and seemingly being pushed by Louis himself.

I have taken some time to go over some (very arbitrary) success indicators that could possibly justify this push in stunts as a marketing ploy, however I have only confirmed my suspicions that the fanbase IS NOT HAPPY and that has been translating in Louis’ numbers.

(May I add that I focused more on louis’ relationship with his fanbase and I know that’s not everyone’s definition of success so I also added streaming numbers)

I took my numbers from this website and I looked through late 2021 and 2022 mostly

Starting off, lets look at Louis’ twitter following and activity:

Number of followers

Throughout August, September, October and November 2021, louis gained between 20k and 40k followers each month, those numbers were much higher during the earlier months of 2021, so what could have sparked that change?

The first picture of louis with F in years dropped in August, which happens to coincide with the sudden drop in Louis’ following

In December, the First Christmas BS happened, and that generated a drop in his following (he didn’t actually start losing followers until 2022, but he only gained 4K in December 2021) that would be weird on its on, but paired with the start of his tour (in which his numbers should be increasing much more) it was very obviously correlated.

Now onto 2022, which was quite an eventful year

2022 marked the start of LTWT which was not only an incredible time for preexisting fans could have been a great opportunity to increase his fanbase by giving him more visibility, especially paired up with a new album. We’ll see that this wasn’t the case

The beginning of the year presented Louis with a slow, especially if compared to 2021, but steady raise in following. This drastically changed in July.

The infamous dm leak happened on July 30th 2022 and it greatly impacted the fandom, which was translated into Louis social media following. Looking at it comparatively, in June 2022 he gained 129k followers, in July that number dropped to 26k, showing the impact of those final 2 days. In August, his numbers only continued to drop.

With the album announcement, one could’ve expect a raise in following and activity, but the opposite happened, and I can’t help but link it with the marketing strategy that was chosen, with further mentions of his “personal” life, especially bbg

The promotional interviews began July 2022 still during LTWT and, at first, they were stunt free (with the exception of one Interview on July 21 2022, in which he stumbled when saying F’s name, something he seemed much more comfortable with later on).

September 6, 2022: It is during an interview with Radio Deejay Itália that the mentions truly begin. Louis brings up Freddie unprompted and says he travels to LA often to visit him, from this point forward, the kid is often brought up.

November 2022 we get all those articles saying “louis finds parenting to be challenging”, over 100 copy and paste articles of this nature were posted.

December 2022 the Christmas Bs 2.0 took place, with the kid being flown to the UK and spending around a week there, between Christmas and New Years. The only footage of louis and F interacting was posted on Louis’ birthday, in a short video of the two in a dinner with the rest of the Tomlinsons.

How did this translate in his twitter following? When FITF promo started, Louis only lost followers

August 2022 he lost 7k

September 2022 he lost 33k

October 2022 he lost 24k

November 2022 he lost 29k followers (not good right after an album announcement)

December 2022 he lost 28k followers

January 2023 he lost 43.9k (the most so far)

But did all this only happen to his twitter following? Surely that’s not the only indicator of his success and relationship with his fanbase?

I agree, although louis does seem to use twitter the most when connecting with fans, lets look through his instagram

(I’m using walls as a comparison for timeline purposes, although im well aware walls promo was far from stunt free, it seems most fans have, understandably, a harder time dealing with bbg than Eleanor)

*Faith in the Future debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 selling 43,000 album-equivalent units

So there was obviously an improvement on FITF debut, but has it been consistent since the album release?

My interpretation of those numbers i presented is that no, it is not worth it. Regardless on your opinion about bbg, from a marketing standpoint this image doesn’t seem to be doing Louis any favors…

Also, I don’t think any stunt that furthers a queer person’s closeting could ever be “worth it”, this was just my attempt to try to see what could be their motivations for this (although if its commercial success, it’s definitely not working)

Nanowrimo Win 2023

I won Nanowrimo 2023! Details beneath the cut, plus writing news for my digimon fanfiction (AO3 and FFN)!

This was my easiest/smoothest Nanowrimo ever, and also the second time (out of like 14) that I finished before November 30th in my time zone, lol! As you might know, I've been struggling a ton with my mental health and energy levels lately, so I was shocked things went so well. I owe a lot to my friends on the Camp Digimonth discord server for sprinting with me and keeping that hype alive.

I'm going to continue writing every day for the rest of November, but I won't worry about word count, now that I've hit my goal. I'll update on the final word count at the end of the month.

But! Some fun extras! I actually wrote an additional 10k words in the last 10 days of October, as a trial run for if I could handle Nanowrimo this year. To be clear, those words were not counted in my Nanowrimo word count, so currently I have a little over 60k words drafted.

What I wrote

A new NSFW story that will probably end up about 20k words long. This story is extremely playful and sexy, but also explores various sexualities and lifestyles.

50k+ words in November

I worked on Infinite Possibilities. I almost finished a first draft of phase 1 of 3. I definitely need to go back and add some scenes, so it's not totally ready, but I covered a lot!

When will I share it?

You might know that recently, I've been in a weird place when it comes to sharing my work online. I have yet to resolve how I feel about this. However, I plan to spend December and January editing what I wrote in November, plus whatever else I want to work on. I'm guessing that you won't see updates until February (unless I change my mind, of course, these things are fluid).

What about Camp Digimonth?

Camp Digimonth is a digimon co-creation event with a discord of digimon creatives. I haven't decided if I have the time/energy/mental health to host it and potentially open it to new members, and I have no idea what the interest levels would be. I might make an interest check on the Camp Digimonth blog?

yes i've ALWAYS found it weird how quickly charles moved on but i don't see it get discussed a lot on here. charles and charlotte announced their breakup at the end of november, now i know many people say that famous breakups get announced weeks/months after the actual breakup happened. however, before charlotte deleted all her pics with charles, she had posted a picture with charles on november 20th. they announced the breakup like early december i think? so the breakup would have happened between that small time frame. there is no way charlotte would have gotten dumped (because lets be real, they said it was a mutual breakup but it was definitely charles who dumped charlotte) and would have still posted a picture of her and charles on instagram. so the breakup definitely happened end of nov-beginning of dec. now i'm not sure about that video of alex in december because some people do say it was someone from ferrari, even though the jacket from the video screenshot and alex's tiktok is very similar. but EVEN if it wasn't alex in december, she was definitely there in london in january with charles so that's barely even 2 months before charles moved on and found someone new.

Maybe dumb question it’s almost midnight at my home so forgive me in advance besties. 🥲 But the ski stories in his Christmas vacation? About several people seeing him with a dark-haired woman. Nobody believed them, but now I don't know.

Still processing the Gen 9 anime news!!

This is a sloppy post about how much the anime means to me, and how weird it'll be without Ash.

I started watching the pokemon anime when I was 10. My first series was 'Pokemon Battle Dimension'. I remember loving the dynamic between Ash, Dawn and Brock. After the Diamond and Pearl anime ended, the Black and White anime started. Iris was personally one of my favourite companions. I really liked her backstory, and it was great seeing her get more development in Journeys. Cilan reminded me of Brock, due to his cheerful personality and intelligence.

Not only was the anime series a huge part of my childhood, but so were the movies. My favourites were 'Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea'; 'Pokemon Giratina and the Sky Warrior' and the 'Victini and Reshiram/Zekrom' movies.

For a while, I lost interest in the anime. Then the swsh games re-lit my love of pokemon, and I started watching Journeys.

Journeys had a fair amount of flaws in my opinion. (Mainly as a result of production issues). However, seeing Ash become World Champion, as well as seeing returning characters has meant a lot.

The best episode of Journeys for me was definitely the final part of Ash vs Leon. The battle was incredible to watch. On top of this, the cameos of Ash's old companions were perfect, and show how far he has come as a trainer.

In terms of the anime getting new protags, (Riko and Roy) I'm excited for the show having a fresh start. It still won't be the same without Ash as the mc though. I'll miss him and Pikachu. I know that some fans have been watching the show from the beginning, so it's a big deal for the community. I don't know if Ash will still appear in the SV anime series (If he did, he could maybe return as a mentoor).

I'm glad that we're getting some episode specials before Ash's departure. If I'm correct, we're getting a special on December 23rd, then a mini-series starting in January. I hope Ash gets the send off he deserves ❤

Writing Update: March 2023

Hello everyone, and welcome back to “Writing Updates”. I’m going to try to do these once a month, but uh… we’ll see! 😅 (Anyone remember Bleach Free Mondays? I definitely didn’t forget about Bleach Free Mondays… 🥲)

Good news: I wrote an awful lot this month! ☺️ I put out a request for prompts, and I got two!!! (Thanks again! 🥰) And both fics turned out okay, although I think they need some more time in the oven before they go on AO3. However, I also do have a different AO3 fic ready to go for the end of the month, which is great! I had it written before, but I wanted to put it away so that I could look at it with fresh eyes, hence the prompt ask. That and while I really felt like writing, I didn’t like editing, and especially not editing FREAKING BLOODLINES (more on that later). I’m really happy that I’ve been able to keep up with my chapter a month goal so far, and I think taking breaks from my longer fic has really helped with that! 

Bad news: I haven’t done a lot of art recently… Although to be fair, part of the problem is that while I can do writing anywhere (at home, at doctor’s appointments, on the road, …when I’m in the ER…again 😅), I can only draw at home. Another problem is the editing process. Even when I think a writing piece is solid and completely done, if I think of something later I can just go back and edit it anytime (Heck, I just did it with the piece coming out later today!). But with art, once I ink and color it, that’s kind of it. It’s done. That wonky eye is just going to be a wonky eye. So maybe I just need to be more okay with that? Idk. Oh but, I do have a couple of things I do want to draw though!  So hopefully I’ll be able to finish those up and get them out. 

Semi-Good News? (Okay, let’s be honest, I’m just going to complain about Bloodlines): Sigh…  Bloodlines, the fic I originally had slotted for January and now it’s almost April. 😅 Last I checked on it, it seemed good. Heck, parts of it I even really liked! But it felt good in the “this is as far as I can take this right now” way, not in the “this is actually good” way. Plus I’ve been learning to put fics away and look at them again weeks later to get a fresh perspective. This is especially important as a new writer because since I have so much to learn, there's a high chance that something new is going to click like a week down the line. Which is sort of what happened??? Like the fic I’m posting later isn’t perfect and is a little weird, but I’ve always been very bad at “show, don’t tell” when it comes to writing, and I feel like this piece does it a little better than some of my others? So I’d like to incorporate some more of that into Bloodlines. It’s got a little, but not nearly enough. Honestly, with all the little changes I’ve been adding over time, I’m half tempted to hold on to it all the way till December and just post it as my big, “end of year/this is everything I’ve learned” piece. Unfortunately, I’m also very impatient, so we’ll see what happens! Plus sometimes holding onto something sometimes keeps me from moving on so…. Eh, I’ll figure it out eventually!

Pt. 2.5 fucking grommets

So. I did already have a grommet kit, but the grommets were gold and I wanted silver, so I was trying to find some nice silver grommets I could use last minute on December 21. As per my previous post, this was already pushing the deadline, but I was still determined to finish by the 24th, the final day before leaving for vacay. With Dritz 3/8”, I realized that the measurement number of a grommet is only the inner diameter, not counting the outer ring. This meant they were way too fucking big, by far, for my corset. This is when I caved to using Amazon Prime, but you’d be surprised by the sheer impossibility of finding silver grommets with a diameter <1/2”, even on Amazon. Eventually I picked out the smallest I could find that also came with setting pliers because I wasn’t sure if my own grommet setting tool set would be the right size. I got dddddd and when they arrived I was like yay!! clearly everything’s good right? :D and then immediately noticed the slits on the part that gets clamped down onto the washer. And then read the instructions that clearly showed how those slits would create a flower like backing with the metal splayed out from the center. And then I did a test on a scrap of sateen, 2 layers of muslin (for extra durability when lacing the corset), and coutil to see how it would look.

now see, everything worked as it said it was, but that meant I would most definitely have raw(?) metal poking into any undergarment layer worn under the corset, and those unfiled edges could scrap against the undergarment and possibly fray or tear it, or I would be hyeraware of feeling those edges scraping against my own skin even through an undergarment. Also I just hated it texturally and visually, so I was dying inside >://// AND, it was still a little too big, because it could only just barely fit inside 1/2”— counting the outer metal edge— and I hated it because I wanted there to still be a little gap between the boning channels and the outer edge of the grommet. I still tried to convince my perfectionist brain that this was a totally acceptable option, all while knowing I would still hate it eternally, but not having a choice because it was way to late to try and find anything smaller that also didn’t have those slits in the grommet.

luckily(?) I was persuaded on the night of the 24th that there was literally no way I could get the entire corset finished in time to leave the next day, so I finally gave in and hunted through a shitton of Etsy sellers until I found 5AHachiHouses. Like straight up I looked for legit hours if not days just to find them. The ones I got were silver, 4.5 mm “outside” (actually the inner hole’s diameter), and 8 mm diameter from outer edge to outer edge. They have a lovely selection of what I would lovingly call “specialty grommets” for the range in very specific sizes and colors. However, when I placed my purchase, I forgot to look for a setting tool for the size I ordered, but still thought that I could use the two I did have. The order arrived in January and I was very pleased to see that they would fit, but quickly realized after a few tests with the tools I did have that they warped the grommet when set. SO, I went back to the sellers Etsy, tried to find a setting tool, and realized that they didn’t sell any setting tools, which I won’t lie is pretty fucking weird considering how rare some of the sizes they sold were. After that, I just worked on other parts of the corset because I pick fight or ✨flight✨ and was actually busy with new classes, until I got myself to go through Amazon again. I settled on getting a 2pc setting tool that was labeled as being for 5 mm size grommets, which was still like, the slightest bit bigger than the ones I had, but again, the size was so rare that there was no way I was going to find a tool that would specifically set 4.5 mm grommets. So finally, in early February, I had everything I needed.

AHAHAHA NO BECAUSE LIFE IS NEVER THAT EASY FOR ME, I forgot about getting a hammer. The one I previously used for the stamps had this rlly gross residue stuck to the handle, and I was not about to set 22 grommets while handling the corset-which-can’t-be-washed with shit like that on my hands or inefficiently wash my hands +22 times repeatedly, so ✨no hammer available✨

perhaps fate decided to throw me a bone, because a few days later, while cooking, I remembered that we had a metal mallet for tenderizing meat. And what do you know, one side is nice and smooth— perfect for hammering. So I pulled an absolutely unhinged idea, which was to hog the mallet for at least a month from ~February to March 18, even though I only took 6 days of actually using it right at the end, which also meant no panko-breaded chicken strips lol. Anyways here are my final test pieces from February 14th, which as you can see, from top of the strip to the bottom, it’s 4.5 mm set with 1/2” setting pliers, 4.5 mm set with 1/2” again because I was delulu enough to think I could make it work even with a prior failure made not even a minute ago, 1/2” set with 1/2” pliers but accidentally put the backing facing outwards instead of showing on the coutil side, 4.5 mm set with “1” 2pc grommet setting tool, and 4.5 mm set with 5 mm 2pc grommet setting tool (as seen in pic 1 & 3)

Hello! Do you have any "real world" timeline of Wanda's backstories (particularly her origins). I know she was created in the 60s, and her first origin seems to have her as the biological daughter of two golden age American heroes. However most wiki pages only describe her latest "in-universe" history. Im curious to know how many actual real-world years she spent as a White American, German Jew, Serbian Romani, Mutant, Witch, Avenger, etc. Thanks!

I’m choosing to do this as a chronicling of backstory retcons (plus a couple of important firsts) because it would be too much to do the whole thing, and I’m going to include the various changes to Magneto’s backstory because they’re kind of necessary. The dates listed are release date, not cover date.

March 1964 (X-Men vol. 1 #4) -- It’s Wanda, no last name. She’s a mutant, part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. She’s from Central Europe. She has an older brother named Pietro, and he promised their parents that he would take care of her.

March 1965 (Avengers vol. 1 #16) -- Wanda’s an Avenger now.

November 1966 (Thor vol. 1 #134) -- We learn that Wanda and Pietro, who are now twins, are connected to Wundagore Mountain and that there was a massive “blinding light” on the night they were born. This was maybe an aborted attempt to retcon them into not being mutants (their powers are referred to as “mutant-type” for some reason), but it goes nowhere.

May 1974 (Giant Size Avengers #1) -- Wanda and Pietro finally have a backstory. They are the children of US-American superheroes Madeline and Robert Frank (aka Miss America and The Whizzer). They were born on Wundagore Mountain, but their mother died and their father abandoned them. They were subsequently raised in the High Evolutionary’s citadel, but they ran away because it was weird being around all those talking animals.

June 1974 - February 1975 (Avengers vol. 1 #127-134; Giant Size Avengers #2 & 4) -- Agatha’s here, and she’s teaching Wanda magic. Wanda is now a mutant AND a witch.

December 1977 - September 1979 (Avengers vol. 1 #166 & 181-187; X-Men vol. 1 #125) -- Origin Story: The Good One. Wanda and Pietro are not the Franks’ kids and were not raised in the High Evolutionary’s citadel. They were raised by Django and Marya Maximoff, a Roma couple from Bulgaria (Transia, the town they’re from, will later become a country of its own), and it is implied that they don’t remember this because they suppressed their own memories. However, Django and Marya are not their birth parents. Their birth mother came to Wundagore Mountain, heavily pregnant, fleeing their father. She gave birth in the citadel, then left because she did not want to be alive anymore.

Meanwhile, Chris Claremont comes up with the idea for Magda, Magneto’s mysterious dead wife, but before the issue introducing her can even come out, John Byrne and some other guys go behind Claremont’s back and make Magda Wanda and Pietro’s mother. Which makes Magneto the husband their mother was running from and thus... None of the living characters know they are related, and it is editorial’s intention that they will never find out, though the connection is acknowledged openly in the letters column.

August 1981 (Uncanny X-Men vol. 1 #150) -- Claremont begins the long process of turning Magneto into a hero, and with that, we learn Magneto’s backstory as a Holocaust survivor. Claremont continues to add to this for the rest of his initial X-Men tenure (through 1991), but crucially, he never has him say that he’s Jewish. You’re supposed to understand that he is, and most of the audience does understand. It is very, very obvious (we even get a trip to Israel), BUT he does not say the exact words, “I am Jewish.”

November 1982 (Vision & the Scarlet Witch vol. 1 #4) -- The characters aren’t supposed to find out they’re related? Forget that. They all know now. I would argue that this issue also makes it obvious that Magneto is Jewish, but whatever, he doesn’t say, “I am Jewish.”

October 1985 (Vision & the Scarlet Witch vol. 2 #5) -- This is the earliest reference I can find to Magda being Romani. It feels like that can’t be the first time that was confirmed, but this post needs to get done some time.

October 1987 (New Mutants vol. 1 #61) -- Another “earliest reference I can find” scenario. I think this is the first time Magneto mentions being from Poland. At any rate, it is a time he mentions being from Poland, and it gets retconned anyway.

July 1993 (X-Men Unlimited vol. 1 #2) -- Due to editorial meddling, Magneto became a villain again in 1991, and according to comic book legend, editor-in-chief Bob Harras thought that Magneto being Jewish and a supervillain was proooooooblemaaaaaaatic. And if he can’t be both at the same time, one’s gotta go. Enter Gabrielle Haller, who is here to give a Ted Talk explaining Magneto’s new backstory. He’s Sinti Romani. That’s the change.

December 1997 (X-Men vol. 2 #72) -- It is revealed that the Erik Lensherr identity was an alias created by document forger Georg Odekirk in order to help Magneto hide from the authorities and find Magda... by pretending to be Sinti. Which, to me, implies that Magda herself was Sinti specifically, not Roma. Either way, Magneto says he’s not Romani, but once again does not say he’s Jewish.

September 2008 - January 2009 (X-Men: Magneto Testament #1-5) -- Magneto is officially, definitely Jewish. For real this time. No more ambiguity. He’s also German now, instead of Polish, and his name is Max Eisenhardt.

December 2014 (Avengers & X-Men: AXIS #7) -- Rick Remender, who is clearly invested in Wanda and Magneto’s relationship, is forced, possibly at gunpoint, to make them not related. This is revealed via a spell going wrong and not affecting Magneto when it’s supposed to affect Wanda’s family, which is the dictionary definition of “plausible deniability.”

January 2015 - June 2015 (Uncanny Avengers vol. 2 #1-5) -- Wanda and Pietro go to the High Evolutionary to figure out what their brand new backstory is. Turns out that, according to the High Evolutionary, they are not mutants and got their powers from being experimented on by him as babies. Their birth parents were their adoptive parents Django and Marya all along, which would make them Roma (not Sinti)... but something is weird about this reveal because Vision finds out there is more to the story and refuses to tell Wanda what it is or that he discovered any information at all.

March 2016 - January 2017 (Scarlet Witch vol. 2 #4-14) -- Nevermind, Django and Marya weren’t Wanda’s biological parents. Django is her uncle. His sister Natalya is her birth mother and a witch, and “the Scarlet Witch” is now a legacy title. Wanda was born in Serbia, but how that intersects with the Chthon thing is not explained. And Wanda’s dad is... the guy who murdered her mother. Who? Doesn’t say.

December 2017 - July 2019 -- A bonus! Marvel gives up on pretending Wanda and Magneto are not related... but mostly outside of comics. School is still in session on the 7th of July in England, the youngest in the year are usually people born in late August, so Nina/Joy are definitely among the youngest, because the cut off is the beginning of September. The UK is weird about people with bigger age gaps being in the same year, which is why people aren’t often held back as they are in the US. Oh! And also, what are your birthday/star sign head canons?

First of all, being in school during the month of July sounds like a cruel and unusual punishment and no one should be subjected to that. Second of all, listen, I'm just going off the information that was given to me. And clearly someone messed up because given what logically makes sense, if Nina and Joy should be the youngest, then Amber and Eddie should not have 1995 birthdays, and yet they do. So those fall birthdays should probably actually be 1994, however, they're not, so I'm gonna go with the unlikely-yet-plausible theory that somehow Nina and Joy got held back as like kindergartners and are actually the oldest. Yes, I know, doesn't make the most sense in the world but I'm working with the information I have. You may disagree, but I am holding firm because it's how my brain can make sense of the information I have been given.

And I have more detailed and fun headcanons about birthdays upcoming in a later post that I'll do in just a bit, but I will totally give a quick overview of my birthday/star sign headcanons for everyone. I've posted about the characters and what I think their astrology is before, but I will happily do it again. Along with star signs I've actually picked out specific birthdates for everyone, too, just for the fun of it because I wanted to.

Canon birthdays: there are 4 of them. I didn't choose these, they're canon, that's just what they are. Nina and Joy's birthday is obviously July 7, which makes them Cancers ♋. Amber's birthday is September 9, which makes her a Virgo ♍ (which btw is what I would've picked for her even if they didn't tell us her canon birthday). And Eddie's birthday is November 19, which makes him a Scorpio ♏

Patricia's birthday is either August 12 or December 8, which means she's either a Leo or a Sagittarius (both of which are fire signs, appropriately). As a Leo, I can tell you she is absolutely not a Leo, she is definitely a Sagittarius ♐ and her birthday is December 8th

Now we get into my headcanons. This is just what I personally believe all of them are, along with the birthdays I gave them just because. All based on ~vibes~. I'm gonna list these in age order. Also if any of you want specific reasons for why my choices are what they are, do feel free to ask, but I'm not gonna do it in this post

Mara is a Libra ♎. She definitely got fall vibes to me. Specifically October vibes, which is why I've made her birthday October 6th

Fabian is absolutely a Capricorn ♑ and everything about this boy just SCREAMS Capricorn. And he's totally one of those people that's born around Christmas and is really grumpy about it, so I've made his birthday December 23rd

KT is an Aquarius ♒ and her birthday is January 29th. She's definitely a January Aquarius and not a February Aquarius

Willow is 1000000000% a Pisces ♓ and for whatever reason she has winter birthday vibes to me so I've made her birthday February 24th

Mick is an Aries ♈ and he was giving me March vibes so his birthday is March 30th

Alfie is also an Aries ♈. And once I realized he was an Aries, I knew I absolutely had to make his birthday April Fool's Day (April 1st). I mean, it's fate

Jerome is definitely for sure a Gemini ♊ in my book, 100%. I gave him the birthday of June 11th, which funnily enough is also Eugene Simon's actual birthday, and I swear I didn't know this when I picked it, I swear, the cards just landed perfectly

Now, a confession...tbh one of the reasons I firmly believe the "Nina and Joy are the oldest" theory is because the idea of Jerome as the youngest is so incredibly fucking funny to me

Makki’s party was the first time Haru had ever “partied” with the Seijoh Crew; he had met the group a few times beforehand but this is when he truly got to know them

Kyotani took him to the side & threatened him. He didn’t want Y/N to know, so he did it while hugging Haru, everyone thought he was being nice for once but no— he wasn’t

Haru is definitely scared of him now

Y/N has been with each of the boys on their birthdays since they were kids; so it was weird not being there for Mattsun’s birthday. When she texted him she still had mixed feelings about him.

Y/N and Kenma instantly bonded when they met at one of Haru’s meetings. He recognized her and they started talking

Y/N absolutely adores Bokuto & Akaashi. However she’s more apprehensive about Tsukki, she’s working on him slowly. Kuroo though? He tries so hard to win her affection but she curbs him because he’s as bratty and annoying as Oikawa. So she actually does love Kuroo she just misses her brat a lot

Tendou’s typo is on purpose, he got ratio’d in the comments by Alisa & Kageyama (he meant to type fist fight)

Hajime is a year and week older than Y/N. Their mom always jokes about how Y/N was his late birthday present. They’ve always celebrated their birthdays together; they feel more like twins than regular siblings. Down to the almost telepathic connection; it freaks out their friends, especially Makki and Oikawa.

Haru takes Y/N to the Mediterranean for her birthday! She meets Nishinoya Yuu, the travel blogger. He recognizes her because she’s rather famous and she’s friends with his former high school friends; Kageyama and Hinata. During the scuba tour he takes her on a cooler personal tour, because he felt like she would appreciate it.

She also lost her moms earrings; her grandma gave them to her mom, and her mom gave them to her. Noya who was doing a scuba teacher stint spent every day looking for them because he saw how much she cried when they got lost. <3

August, September, & October were fairly relaxed months. Tendou visited in August for Ushijima’s birthday so the Tokyo group had a big sleepover at Y/N and Haru’s house!

Haru messed up an order for his weekly flowers for Y/N in October; 40+ bouquets of flowers were sent to the house for her. She didn’t let them go to waste though; she sent some to her friends & then had Ushijima help her dry the extras so she could use them for various projects!

Y/N and Haru visit the beach for their anniversary and he reads her a love letter at sunset. “One day I am going to marry you Y/N Iwaizumi, I can feel it in my bones. There is nobody on this earth who will ever compare to you. You are the love of my life.”

Ok so I really wanna show some important characters for my story, if thats aight with you guys :D this post is gonna be very long, perhaps in 2 parts

These are characters are called "The Top Figures" as simply as its called lol. They are the world's top 10 best assassins in the world and they help to kill off things such as demons, parasites, and people who are corrupt

To become a Top Figure you have to do something drastic that is good for the world. Such as destroying a curropt city or killing a high power demon.

Rank 1: Akio

Akio has been dead for awhile, but he was the absolute best of his time and no one has ever been able to move to Rank 1. In a way there is no Rank 1 as a way to respect Akio for the things he has done and gone through. I'm still working on Akio so things could always change.

Rank 2: Lucas Hollis

Lucas Hollis is the next rank. He is the strongest and fastest out of the others. He used to live in a very poor city with very high slandereds from the higher ups. Lucas was almost killed cause of simple things and was even locked up to. I don't wanna reveal to much about his backstory but after something traumatic he stopped his town and years later became a Top Figure. He is a very happy man and loves to make jokes with everyone, think of him like best boi

Takashi is next. Growing up was not easy for him as he was living in a abandoned city. However he managed to fall in love and start a family with someone and had a daughter. However years later the main villain came and killed his daughter and wife, around when Takashi was in his mid 20s. Takashi was the only one close to kill the main villain.

More known as Dagger for his weapon choice. He is very lonely and depressed, as he feels like no one really wants to be around him. Like Takashi growing up was hard for him and was abandoned as a child and everyone telling him that it's his fault. All the guilt eventually manifested into his shadow, and it now having a mind of its own (ik it sounds weird but plz roll with it). Dagger also hates talking

Last rank for this post is the loud mouth Evelyn. She used to be a very boring girl until her parasite (the mouth on her stomatch) ate her parents, and in order to not get killed by a Top Figure he possessed Evelyn, however since the bond was a perfect match, the parasite felt immediate guilt for what it did, and does not speak. However Evelyn became very loud and rowdy, always wanting to show off and pull pranks on others. Think of it like Muscle man from from Regular Show lol. The scars on her body allow the mouth to travel to that place and fight better.

FIVE WEEKS LATER

With the amount of work you had had in the lab in December, five weeks passed by easily, and before you could truly process what had become of time, you had spent your first Christmas ever away from England.

Still, even though five weeks had passed by, you caught yourself thinking about this guy, this Rafa, annoyingly often. 

You couldn't believe that you had fallen for (what you assumed were) his regular normie cad tricks: He had talked you up, walked you home, made you feel special, and then he hadn't given you any sign of life since then - and now the complete lack of contact was driving you insane! You knew that he was only interested in the shag, and so were you to be honest, but it still annoyed you immensely that the mere thought of him roughing you up had taken over most of your thoughts.

As if Rafa was a professional womaniser, it had only taken him a couple of hours and an obnoxious fuck boy-attitude to etch himself into your brain. And five weeks later, he was still on your mind?! What was going on with you? If you'd only invited him inside to boff back then, he probably wouldn't even have been the least bit interesting here five weeks later.

Thus, irritated with yourself and your flair for the dramatic, you often cursed yourself for having left him on the pavement that night back in November. On the night in question, however, the need to stand up to his spoiled attitude had been stronger than the urge to let him win and shag him senseless - and as a result, you often found yourself fantasising about him when you lay in bed at night. So in a way, he had won anyway.

And you hated it. You hated that he had somehow gotten to you. The way he had acted around you had made you aware that this boy was an avid smooth talker who was probably used to get whatever and whomever he wanted by any means necessary.

And you were having none of it. Forgetting about him was definitely for the best. You needed someone to knock the naughty thoughts of him out of your mind. By any means necessary.

You had never really cared much for New Years Eve, but this year, you found yourself in the right spirit for the first time ever. You had changed into the most form-fitting, festive dress you owned in the hopes of meeting a cute guy with whom you could spend the night. A guy who could knock the last thoughts of Rafa out of your head.

In the mood for an eventful evening, you had showed up for Miranda's all-girls pre-party right on time, tagging your roommate Samantha along with you. The first part of the evening passed by quickly; you had loads of champagne and ate a fancy dinner at Miranda's place surrounded by all of her best friends and some of your colleagues from the Hospital. You had all clinked to the new year as the date shifted to January 1st and you soon found yourself in a taxi on the way to an exclusive party downtown that Miranda's friend had secured you all tickets for. Big, fancy parties like this wasn't normally your scene, but you could make an exception for tonight. It was New Years, after all.

You had arrived at the club, had had a few drinks at your private table, and had even talked to some pretty cute guys, but for some reason they all bored you. At one point you found yourself cornered by a handsome - but particularly boring - gentleman when Samatha finally saved you.

"I just flirted my way to a bottle of champagne!" she squealed as she came running towards you with a magnum flask in hand.

"You did what?" you laughed at your bubbly roomie, the bore of a man by your side already forgotten.

"I just asked a random guy at the bar if he wanted to buy a table of pretty girls a drink - and the patsy did," she laughed, "not in my wildest imagination had I ever expected him actually to do it," she squealed as she twisted off the cork with a loud pop.

"So you just let the poor guy pay for it and then you ran away?" you laughed at her while holding out your glass, waiting for her to fill it.

"I reckon he did it to make me go away - I think he may have found me annoying," Samantha laughed, "He told me to take the bottle back to my friends' table and clink his glass from a distance. Look, it's him over there," she raised her glass to a guy that you recognised immediately; you would've recognised those fluffy black curls anywhere.

Rafa's friend Diggs.

When he noticed you looking at him, he too raised his glass and sent you a warm smile, silently telling you that he definitely recognised you too.

"Hey; I know that guy," you said slowly, "I met him when I'd just moved here."

"You know him?" Samantha stared at you with a sly smile, "Probably why he was so eager for me to bring the champagne back to the table instead of drinking it at the bar with him. How well do you know him if you don't mind my asking?" Samantha wriggled her eyebrows.

"Not like that," you laughed, "I only talked to him for a couple of minutes."

Samantha nudged you with her elbow, "you should go thank him."

"Yeah," you hesitated, turning away from him, "I'm honestly surprised he even recognises me."

"Well, you must've made quite the impression," Samantha was still looking at him from over your shoulder, "Oh shit, he's coming over here right now," she squealed in a whisper.

"Be cool!" you laughed before turning around, suddenly face to face with Diggs.

"Happy new year," he smiled and squinted his eyes slightly, "I think we've met before."

You nodded, reciprocating his wide smile, "we have. You're Rafa's friend," the words escaped your mouth before you could stop them.

He nodded, "...and you're Rafa's girl."

You could feel your cheeks getting warm now, "I've had like an hour long conversation with him. I would hardly refer to myself as his girl," you squinted your eyes at the handsome man in front of you.

He shrugged and laughed, "you know what I mean."

You cleared your throat, "well thanks for the champagne. You really didn't have to."

"I wanted to," he smiled, "I was hoping to catch your attention."

"Why? We've exchanged about ten words..."

"Yeah, but I'm sure Rafa would love to see you again."

"He's here?" your eyes widened. The mere thought of meeting Rafa again tonight was making your heart beat faster. You reminded yourself that you needed to keep your cool. He may be handsome and charming but he was also loud and obnoxious and a sleaze.

"We have a table in the back," Diggs nodded and pointed to an area that was cordoned off with red rope, "you should come with me."

"I don't think so," you managed to say with as much clarity as you could muster. You needed someone to help you get rid of Rafa - not indulge further in him. He was dangerous.

"Aw, come on," Diggs smiled charmingly.

"What makes you think he even wants to see me?" You tried, "as I said; I've had an hour-long conversation with him over a month ago."

"Trust me," he smiled convincingly, "I know my best friend. Are you coming or what?"

You weren't exactly sure whether it was a good idea or not. You were quite sure that if Rafa was acting just half as charming as last time, you'd be throwing yourself at him at the first chance you got and you were scared that his bad boy demeanour might lead to you wanting more even though you were going home in a couple of weeks. ..But then again, you were on the prowl for someone who could knock Rafa out of your head. Maybe actually being with him would be enough to finally close that chapter.

"Oh, she's coming!" Samantha said loudly while giving your back a small shove.

"Great!" Diggs shot you a blinding smile and stretched out his hand for you to take.

"Uhm, okay..." you said, actually glad that Samantha had made a decision for you.

As Diggs pulled you towards him, you looked back at Samantha who was looking at you with huge eyes and moving her lips without any sound, "who's Rafa?" she mouthed.

"I'll tell you later, okay?" you whispered to your friend.

Samantha tilted her head and whispered back, "well, if all of his friends are just as handsome as that guy," she nodded towards Diggs, "you're coming back for me!"

You laughed at her, "of course. I'll see you later," you said before taking Diggs' hand, following him straight through the club's dance floor and towards the closed off area.

When he reached the bouncer, he pulled up his sleeve and showed him a stamp on his wrist. "She's with me," he nodded towards you and the bouncer stepped aside, letting both of you enter the scene behind the red rope.

"Is this some sort of VIP area?" you asked Diggs as you took in the room that had been closed off to the rest of the party. The tables back here looked far more fancy and were lined with much more expensive booze than what had been available where you had been sitting only moments before.

Diggs looked at you with a weird expression, "Uh yeah..."

"It looks very expensive."

"Yeah, well..." he looked a bit uncomfortable, "we  - uh - we have a good friend who's a bit over the top with these things, but we just roll with it."

He sounded weird. Almost as if he was lying. You quickly shrugged it off, however, telling yourself that of course he was being honest; it would've been a weird thing to lie about. "Must be a good friend for you to spend this amount of money on his comfort," you mumbled as you watched a girl open up a bottle of ridiculously expensive vodka.

"Yes, well... come on," Diggs said and urged you to follow him.

You scanned the room as you tagged along Diggs, noticing several low-key famous people that you were sure were known for something semi-popular but that you couldn't quite place your finger on. You'd never really been the type to care for fame. Still, you turned to Diggs and asked, "hold up; are you famous or something?"

Diggs sent you a shrug, "...or something," he said mysteriously and pointed to a table in the far back, "our table is over there."

Slowly, you turned your gaze away from him with a feeling that you were definitely missing out on something. You followed the direction that he was pointing in and found a table lined with people. You quickly scanned their faces, eyes landing on Rafa almost immediately.

Just as you had expected, he was laughing obnoxiously loud, his Adam's apple bouncing up and down in his throat in time with his vociforous outbursts of laughter. He was wearing a dark suit and he had his blonde hair slightly slicked back, making him look particularly dark and handsome. It was pure sex.

Okay, you definitely needed to keep your cool.

He was chatting up a very attractive girl who was twirling her black hair between her fingers and smiling suggestively at him. His signature charming smile was in place as he leaned closer to her and whispered something in her ear. Whatever he was saying was definitely working as she kept touching his arm and batting her eyelashes seductively. He seemed to enjoy the attention, scooting closer and closer to the beautiful woman with each passing sentence. The sight of it made your stomach drop slightly.

You contemplated turning around and go back to Samantha before Rafa had had the chance to see you. Clearly, he was busy. You told yourself that you didn't want to be the reason why he was striking out with this girl who he was clearly trying to charm the knickers off - when in reality, you were angry with yourself; It was stupid of you to think that he actually wanted to see you when he hadn't stopped by since that night five weeks ago.

You took a step backwards to go back to Samantha but immediately felt Diggs standing behind you like a concrete wall. His palm came into contact with your back as he gave you a light shove between your shoulder blades, pushing you towards the table. "Hey Rafa!" he called out, "look who I found!"

HIVE TIMELINE TWO, ELECTRIC BOOGALOO (Updated and reworked for Bloodline; spoilers ahead!)

It's a year since my original HIVE timeline (which you can read here and is obviously pre-Bloodline), and how things have changed. Well...kind of. I was expecting more of my timeline to crumple under the weight of eight years' worth of continuity errors but, unlike most of my pre-Bloodline fic, my 2020 timeline has stayed somewhat intact. However, in light of Nessa's excellent post that used the Bloodline prologue to figure out Raven's birthday with a scary amount of accuracy, I've decided that somewhat intact just isn't enough. Lo and behold...find the C ottomalpense new and improved H.I.V.E. timeline under the cut. This is just my interpretation of the canon timeline; because Walden contradicts himself constantly when it comes to age and continuity, most of these dates are educated guesses and any other interpretations are more than valid. Bloodline spoilers below.

PART ONE: RAVEN

In my original timeline, I used two anchor dates: Otto's 13th birthday being August 29th 1993, and Raven being 16 in the 'fifteen years earlier' Hong Kong flashback, making her 31 in Aftershock/Deadlock. Using the age difference between her and Otto, I counted backwards to give Raven a birth year of 1979. Otto's birthday still holds up, but Bloodline has since made it clear that Raven was 15 in Hong Kong. Therefore, several options presented themselves in order to salvage the rest of the timeline.

Option 1: Raven was indeed born in 1979, and Hong Kong takes place in 1994. This would make her 27 in H.I.V.E., given that she has a September birthday and H.I.V.E. takes place between September-December 2006. However, this means Raven that if Raven is 30 in Aftershock/Deadlock, there are only three years between the first seven books....something that canon vaguely supports given Shelby's "I've waited three years for you two to get together" comment to Laura and Otto in Deadlock, but feels very, very unrealistic given the number of time skips and the sheer volume of things that happen in the first seven books. My original timeline was created to get rid of the stasis in canon and give a better sense of the progression of time between books. Keeping Raven's birth year as 1979 undermines that.

Option 2: Raven was born in 1981, Hong Kong takes place in 1996, and she is 25 in H.I.V.E., meaning that there's exactly five years between H.I.V.E and Aftershock. This supports my earlier placement of Aftershock being the start of fifth year, but 25 feels kind of...young? It also hinges on Raven knowing her exact birth date before she finds out that Nero is her father, which I personally don't think Bloodline supports - Nero didn't know her birthday, and I think if Raven did know, she would've told him pre-Bloodline.

Option 3: Raven was born in 1980, Hong Kong takes place in 1995, and she is 26 in H.I.V.E., but, because she doesn't know her birth date, she celebrates her birthday on New Year's Eve. So while Raven would technically be 31 in Aftershock, she would still consider herself 30 until the end of the year, as would Nero. This gives a little bit more leeway with her age, reduces the number of changes in the overall timeline, and accounts for the overall unreliability of both Raven and Nero's narration in the flashback scenes - given that one of them had been traumatised so thoroughly that she had recurring psychotic episodes just months before that scene, and the other had his memory tampered with to the point where he misremembered the date of worst day of his life.

I personally opted for Option 3, making Raven's new birthday 3rd-6th September 1980. She is 33 in the Bloodline epilogue. Therefore Hong Kong still takes place in 1995.

PART TWO: OTTO

This is just a rehash of my last timeline, but for clarity's sake: Otto being an August 1993 birthday makes him one of the youngest in his year, meaning that everyone else (Lucy, Wing*, Nigel, Franz, Shelby, Laura, and Penny) were all 1992/3 babies. Bloodline takes place right at the end of his final year (meaning I correctly predicted that it would be set in 2012), making him 19. Something I forgot to mention in my original timeline is that Tom is described as being a few years older than Penny in H.I.V.E., but given that Tom isn't really alive for long enough to present me with an issue timeline wise, I'm just going to let that one slide. The Bloodline epilogue thus takes place in 2013.

As always, I am ignoring Rogue's claim that Otto is 13, because it doesn't make sense in any context (if Otto really is 13, it means he magically ages three years in Zero Hour and Aftershock according to Walden's own implication that Otto is 16 by Aftershock...which I'm also ignoring, but whatever). Laura still choosing between universities in September 2013 is weird, because either she is very, very late for the 2013 academic year, or very, very early for the 2014 one, but, again, I am ignoring it. Essentially, nothing meaningful has changed for any of the student ages between this timeline and the 2020 one.

PART THREE - NERO

This is where it gets interesting. This time last year, my Nero section was just speculation. I was, uh, very off, and did not account for how early Nero knocked Elena up. That was on me. My bad!

Nero is in his early 20s when Elena is murdered. If we take the year to be 1980, and early 20s to mean anything between 20-24, we can get an approximate birth year of 1956-1960. I'm going to average that to 22, making Nero's birth year 1958. He's a practically spritely 48 in H.I.V.E, and 55 in the Bloodline epilogue.

(Also, I am treating the 'thirty years' in the 'thirty years ago' flashback to be an estimate. Nero has memory issues and also thirty years has a much better ring to it than thirty-two.)

PART FOUR - DIABOLUS

We can't talk about Nero without mentioning Diabolus because I, for one, have been haunted by the knowledge that Nero taught Diabolus for years. However, assuming Nero immediately joins the H.I.V.E. teaching staff in 1980 following Elena's death, he is 22. If Diabolus is a first year student, we can give him a birth year of 1966/7. That said, I tend to think Diabolus is a little bit older than that, given how close he and Nero are in Hong Kong, so if we age him up to a third year in Nero's first year of teaching, that makes him 15/16 with a birth year of 1964/5. There's only 6/7 years between him and Nero, leaving plenty of time for them to become close friends by Hong Kong, during which Nero is 37 and Diabolus is approaching 30. That means Diabolus had Nigel at 27/28.

PART FIVE - THE OVERLORD INCIDENT AND XIU MEI

The Overlord Incident (henceforth the OI) is the bane of my existence. There's no mention of Raven in the original flashback in the Overlord Protocol, implying that she wasn't around yet, but it's referenced as still being a work in progress in Hong Kong. Again, this is a rehash of my previous timeline, but the Deadlock interpretation doesn't work; regardless of anything else, Wing was definitely born in 1992/3 in order to be in the same year as Otto, and either Wing or Raven would be too young for the OI to occur after Hong Kong (Raven was only 13 in 1993 in this interpretation of events, and this is one that puts her on the older side - there's an argument to be made for her being born in 1983, which would make her 10). Ergo, in this timeline, the OI precedes Hong Kong.

As mentioned, Wing had to have been born in 1993 at the latest, and the evidence suggests that he's most likely one of the older kids in their year, pointing to a 1992 birthday, meaning Xiu Mei got pregnant by January 1992 at the earliest. There must be time allowed for the following to occur between Wing and Otto's births and the OI: survivors of the OI to start going missing, Xiu Mei and Wu Zhang /Cypher to marry and move to Japan in order to escape persecution, and Overlord to get enough soft power over Number One to convince him to start trying to produce a clone of himself to be his successor. At earliest this can be 1991. I, however, think that it's more likely to be January 1990, given Overlord's comments about how much Number One initially resisted having his brain hijacked. This is the same as my previous timeline.

Unlike my previous timeline, however, I'm also going to attempt to estimate the year of Xiu Mei's death. While the Overlord Protocol does not explicitly state this, it can be inferred that Nero receives Xiu Mei's locket and letter after she is murdered by Overlord for investigating the Renaissance project. Nero receives the locket "many years" before Overlord Protocol (which takes place roughly in Spring/Summer of 2007), but Xiu Mei was also presumed "long dead" already when he received it as a result of the OI. This puts 17 years between Xiu Mei's faked death and Nero's reminiscence over the locket and letter in 2007 after the assassination attempt in Vienna. Xiu Mei can't have died before Wing was at least 5 years old, given the strong memories he has of her and the fact that he made a promise to her not to kill anyone, so I'm tentatively putting Xiu Mei's real death at 2001, when Wing would've been 9. This leaves just enough time for Cypher to establish himself as a thorn in Nero's side, and for his relationship with Wing the deteriorate to what we see in the Overlord Protocol.

PART SIX - OTHER

I've been meaning to do the maths on this for a while, but H.I.V.E.mind was officially brought online April 10th, 2006! (He'd been online for four months, three weeks, and two days by September 1st.) Nero really was paranoid after the OI.

Brexit doesn't occur in the H.I.V.E.verse, because Duncan Cavendish (David Cameron) resigns in 2010, AKA way, way, before the rise of UKIP and the 2016 referendum. The Iraq war, however, does - Tony Blair is heavily, heavily implied to be the prime minister in 2006.

Not really timeline related, but the fact that both Otto and Raven are Virgos is enough to make me shudder.

TL;DR - THE (FINAL???) TIMELINE

1950-59: The Furan siblings are born at some point. Two siblings are twins, presumably Elena and Anastasia or Anastasia and Pietor. At some point, they are owed a blood debt by the Sinistres.

1958: Nero is born.

Early 1960s: H.I.V.E. is founded, most likely by Nero's mother.

1964-5: Diabolus Darkdoom is born.

Late 1970s: Elena and Nero start their affair.

1980: Elena is murdered by Pietor. Raven is born. Nero has his memory of Raven's survival forcibly erased by Francesca Sinistre, clearing the blood debt between the Furan and Sinistre families.

1980s: Diabolus Darkdoom and Duncan Cavendish attend and graduate H.I.V.E. Diabolus and Nero become friends.

1989: Raven runs away from her orphanage.

1990: The Overlord Incident takes place, leaving three named survivors: Nero, Xiu Mei, and Wu Zhang. Overlord begins to assert control over Number One.

1991: Raven is found by the Furans and brought to the Glasshouse. Wu Zhang and Xiu Mei marry and immigrate to Japan after survivors of the Overlord Incident start going missing.

1992: Presumably the year Raven claws out Pietor's eye and gets shot in the woods, it is also the point at which Overlord/Number One most likely starts considering cloning himself. In the final quarter of the year, some students - most likely Wing, Shelby, and possibly Laura - are born.

1993: Otto and the rest of the students in his year are born.

1994: Likely the year Dimitri's escape attempt fails, and Raven is forced to murder Tolya. Also presumably when H.I.V.E.'s Icelandic location became dangerously compromised, and Nero starts seriously considering plans to move. At this point his mother is dead.

1995: Nero and Diabolus go to Hong Kong to meet with the Architect, and thwart Raven's assassination attempt. Raven eventually defects to G.L.O.V.E., and the first Glasshouse burns.

1996-2000: Construction on H.I.V.E. 2.0 is completed. Nero starts work on the emergency Zero Hour protocol.

2001: Xiu Mei is murdered by Overlord for asking too many questions about the Renaissance initiative. Wu Zhang becomes Cypher. Nero receives his half of the amulet, and Xiu Mei's letter.

2001-2005: Lucy's parents die of unknown causes. Diabolus Darkdoom falsifies his death to escape execution for getting too close to the Renaissance initiative, possibly after divorcing his wife first. Otto drops out of school and starts scamming local business to repair St Sebastian's. At some point Pike convinces Nero to try AI again. Number One's will is entirely consumed by Overlord.

2006: H.I.V.E.mind goes online. Pike's experiment to give Ms Leon the same reflexes as her cat goes horribly wrong, leaving them both trapped in the wrong body. Shelby becomes the Wraith and makes headlines for stealing millions of dollars' worth of jewellery. Laura is caught hacking the nearby American air base's early nuclear warning system. Otto hypnotises the current prime minister, allowing Duncan Cavendish to come into power. During a failed escape attempt from H.I.V.E., several hundred million pounds' worth of damage is caused to H.I.V.E. by Nigel's experimental crossbreed plant, Violet.

2007: Cypher fakes his death as Mao Fanchu in order to lure Wing to Tokyo, and the Contessa betrays Nero. Nero keeps Cypher alive, unbeknownst to Number One, and starts to have suspicions about Number One/Overlord for the first time. By the end of August, everyone is fourteen, and first year is over.

2008: H.O.P.E. is formed, and Nero is captured in either April or May whilst meeting with Gregori Leonov. Three months later, he is rescued by Otto, Raven, and the gang. The Contessa and Number One/Overlord die. Laura and Otto kiss, but nothing comes of it. Diabolus resurfaces from the dead to be elected head of G.L.O.V.E.'s ruling council. At some point in late August to early September, Otto, Wing, Shelby and Laura first encounter the animus fluid on a train to Paris whilst on a mission to recover a stolen thermoptic camouflage suit. As a result of the Contessa's death, Lucy Dexter is transferred to H.I.V.E. at the start of third year, at which point everyone is fifteen. Following the hijacking of Dreadnought, and an encounter with Pietor Furan, the animus fluid, and the Disciples, Otto is captured by American forces after saving Air Force One and the US president. He is then turned over to H.O.P.E.

2009: Assassinations of key members of G.L.O.V.E.'s ruling council take place at the hands of Otto, now under the influence of animus. Raven is given executive privilege to kill him if necessary. Otto confesses his love to Laura. Following a confrontation in the Amazon jungle, Cypher, Ghost, and Trent all die. H.O.P.E. is destroyed. Otto feigns memory loss of everything that occurred under animus. By the end of the year, everyone is sixteen.

2010: Laura's brother, Douglas, is born. Otto has continual and repeated nightmares and is the subject of rumours. Overlord takes control of the Advanced Weapons' Testing Facility in Colorado. The Zero Hour protocol is activated. Wing and Shelby get together. Chief Lewis and Lucy Dexter die. Pietor Furan is killed by Raven. Nero becomes head of G.L.O.V.E. Duncan Cavendish is forced to resign. The Architect is contacted by Anastasia Furan through a proxy, and construction of the new Glasshouse is completed. Following the appointment of Security Chief Dekker, Laura is blackmailed into betraying the location of the Hunt after Tom and Penny's recruitment to H.I.V.E. Joseph Wright and several former members of the ruling council are offered the help of Disciples'. All of the Alpha stream save Shelby, Otto, Franz, and Wing are taken captive. Otto is expelled, and joined Raven on the hunt for the location of the new Glasshouse. By the end of the year, everyone is seventeen.

2011: Raven and Otto take down several Disciples, most notably visiting Dubai, London, and Paris. In Venice, they are pursued by the CIA after tracking down the Architect with the help of Diabolus Darkdoom. Tom dies. The new Glasshouse is stormed and destroyed, again. Laura is given the choice as to whether she wants to stay at H.I.V.E. or not, and decides to stay. Anastasia Furan is taken hostage in Nero's basement storage facility. The Disciples' countdown for the new batch of hostages starts at 99 days. By the end of the school year, everyone is eighteen.

2012: The majority of Otto and the gang's final year goes smoothly. Franz starts working out and loses weight, becoming conventionally attractive. A few days shy of graduation, the clone known as Anna becomes loose. Otto reconvenes with the CIA and is allowed access to the last remaining batch of the animus fluid. Francesca Sinistre dies. It is revealed to Nero by Anastasia that he is Raven's father. Raven kills Anastasia. Otto stays behind to destroy H.I.V.E. and dies. His consciousness is transferred to a cloning vat by H.I.V.E.mind. Everyone is nineteen.

2013: Construction on the new H.I.V.E. facility is already underway. Raven finds out her birthday. Shelby and Wing set up an orphanage, implied to be in Africa, for war orphans in Otto's honour. Franz is an instructor at the temporary facility. Laura gets in to MIT and Oxford. In early September, Otto shows up on her doorstep.

Hello there! Thank you so much! I’m glad you like my iteration of the Hamato fam and my art! They are certainly living love-filled lives, but not entirely peaceful... But I’ll get to that in a later update!

You may indeed ask about their birthdays!

First there’s Splinter who actually has never revealed his true birthday and constantly changes the date on purpose because he’s a weird dad, and he likes to appear cool and mYsTeRiOuS. The best the turtles can guess is that it’s probably sometime in the fall. One important note is that Splinter always bakes the turtles cake for their birthdays.

For the turtles, we’ll start with Donnie and Raph, since they are the oldest. Donnie’s birthday is December 31st and Raph’s is January 2nd, but since they both only just missed out on being New Year’s babies and since they like to call themselves “twins”, they actually celebrate it together on January 1st.

Donnie is not as into birthdays, but Raph is, and Donnie enjoys celebrating it with him. One thing Donnie does like, however, is that it’s a chance to freely boss people around, heh heh. Raph just likes parties in general, and having fun with people he loves. Birthdays with the twins usually involves decorating a cake together as a family, listening to loud music that Raph likes to rock out too complete with some terribly sung karaoke sessions, and finally ending the day with a tabletop RPG campaign organized by the fam for Donnie who likes tabletop RPGs and is normally the one who organizes them. Mikey is often the Game Master for these sessions.

Next is Mikey whose birthday is April 1st. They’re often the one who goes all out for the others’ birthdays, so on Mikey’s birthday, the family returns the favor. They’ll decorate the entire layer for Mikey, get lots of presents, do art together, play games, have impromptu dance parties, go out to the surface and mess around; pretty much anything fun and exciting! Mikey likes movement and fun, so Mikey’s birthday parties usually come with some sort of adventure, for better or worse. Oh, and Mikey is definitely the one who sings the “Happy Birthday” song the loudest during the others’ birthdays.

Then we have Leo, who actually kept his birthday hidden at first (because he never really got to celebrate it before, “so what’s the point?”). Only Splinter knew that it was on August 15th. He would surreptitiously give Leo a birthday card and some traditional Japanese sweets on this day. The other three caught onto this, and started doing small things on his birthday, like marathoning his favorite shows/movies, or giving him extra attention. In subsequent years the “party” got bigger and into a more actual party, which Leo started to appreciate a lot as he came out of his shell. Leo’s birthdays are still the most low-key, of the bunch, but usually involve spending time with him and doing the things he likes.

My Experience With Simvicii, Oliveandoak & Their Discord

I’ve seen a lot of posts going around in regards to simvicii, oliveandoak, their discord and private channels. I felt now would be the best time to speak out about my experience with these things. I think it’s best that people have as much information as possible.

Disclaimer: I am not innocent to anything and neither is anyone else in that discord. We are all at fault for allowing simvicii and oliveandoak behave the way they did as well as enabling/aiding in their behaviors. This is partly why I left tumblr back in March because I realized I had become the same type of person as them and I was disgusted with myself. This does not exclude me from any blacklash/punishment but I recognize my mistakes and left to address them.

How We Met: Probably around November/December or earlier back in 2019 Simvicii had dm’d me asking for a sim, this was when they went by a different username. At the time I wasn’t giving sims away because poor experiences but I had just followed her blog and became a fan so I gave her one. She later gave me a sim in exchange as well. The sim I gave her is who everyone knows as Hollie Evans. (More on this later)

Joining The Discord: After exchanging sims I never talked to Simvicii again so when Oliveandoak dm’d me asking if I wanted to join their discord I was a bit surprised. But me being me and wanting to be apart of something I chose to join, probably in early January. Everything seemed pretty normal at first but within the first few weeks I noticed a good amount of gossip going on. The server was still small and hand picked individuals so I guess they didn’t have to worry quite yet. Everything started pretty small/mild but then once the private channel was made things escalated.

The Private Channel: I guess under the safety of the channel Simvicii and Oliveandoak felt more comfortable being their true selves. Admittedly, Simvicii didn’t say too many harsh things but Oliveandoak definitely did. I remember on multiple occasions she posted screenshots of her asks and mocked the senders. There were a few asks where they didn’t quite make sense, most likely result of poor english, and she would mock them saying ‘wtf does this mean/how am i supposed to read this’ and others of the like.

Most of the time we, we being the others in the channel, would just go along with what they said. I noticed a few of them didn’t actually participate in many of those types of conversations, probably because they knew it was wrong. I myself would simply go along or ignore them because whenever I had tried to call Oliveandoak out for being too rude, mocking people, or simply tried to defend whoever it was she would get very passive aggressive with me.

Some Of What Was Said: For the most part I don’t remember a lot of the actual words and phrases they used but I remember a few of the topics. I know on several occasions they mocked their followers/people who sent them asks. They mocked simblrs they didn’t like. I actually remember three very specific simblrs being brought up almost daily by either simvicii or oliveandoak. They also would complain about people asking them to include POC or LGBTQ+ sims.

About The POC/LGBTQ+ Topics: I wanted to expand on this specifically because Simvicii is very good with words and a lot of us in the discord kind of were persuaded to agree based on how she worded things. So, most of the time the conversation was about how simblr forces people to include POC/LGBTQ+ sims and Simvicii felt that it was wrong or whatever because there’s a lot of blogs doing already + why should they be forced to do something on their blog, or something of that nature.

Now, to a degree I agreed with her simply because me being apart of the LGBTQ+ community I really hate seeing straight people trying to portray us. It almost always ends up weird and cringey. I didn’t want to see another person making that type of content. I just didn’t. So, I agreed and told her I didn’t think she needed to be posting that because she can’t related and it’s better to not do something you’re not informed on. However, that does not mean she can’t have LGBTQ+ backstory characters.

I know recently there’s a post going around with a screenshot of her talking about how asians are normally excluded from the term POC, especially here on simblr, and I have to agree. However, that does not mean you do not exclude the rest of the POC community in retaliation. Now, I’m not saying this to be rude but even when Simvicii makes “asian” sims they still look an awful lot like their white sims because their sim style makes them all look fairly similar. So, even when she made asian sims you could barely tell. But making asian sims does not exclude you from making black, hispanic, latino, middle eastern, islander, etc sims. You don’t get to trade one for the others.

Same with Oliveandoak. She got asks about her lack of POC sims and she complained saying ‘I have POC sims!!’. It doesn’t count when they’re all extremely white passing. I even personally sent her a dark skinned sim to which she switched the content on and made her look several shades lighter. This is a problem. Aesthetic or not you still need to include dark skinned sims and other races.

Moving on.

Hollie Evans: So, back to the original topic of Hollie Evans. A lot of you who know who Simvicii know who this sim is. She was one of the main characters paired as Romeo’s bff/gf/whatever. Well, yes I actually made that sim. HOWEVER, Simvicii claims (after 2-3 months of use) that the Hollie we see today isn’t actually my Hollie but a replica she made herself.

She claims that she ‘remade’ Hollie and just ‘used the same presets and everything’. I’m sorry but that’s not true. If you took a side by side of the two sims you would see that the facial structures are identical and we all know even if you try to recreate someone else’s style using the exact same content it’s not going to be 100% identical, which Hollie to her core is identical.

The thing that bothers me and hurts me is that she went our whole friendship telling me it’s the sim I gave her and then when confronted claims it’s not that sim, when clearly it is she just wants out of the doghouse. She sent Hollie to people for collabs without saying anything to me. She changed all her custom content ‘to match her style’ and she no longer uses the ‘Hollie Evans by Honeyswarm’ tags. Which the tag thing only happened after I left tumblr.

I think it’s extremely rude and hurtful to ask someone for a sim and then change everything about them, claim them as yours and share them with other people. It’s simply not right and she knows it. She would constantly bring up a blogger who had forced her to give them her sims and then ripped her off. She knows what that feels like and she knows that’s wrong.

There’s probably a hell of a lot more I could talk about, like the three blogs they always mentioned, how they all but basically convinced the private channel to exclude someone in the discord, their lack of care/empathy towards other server members/myself, admitting to sending hate to people they disliked/disagreed with and just their general toxic behavior and manipulation but I think this post is long enough.

I don’t have “evidence” to everything here because I never thought I’d need it/be posting about it but considering everyone’s coming out I figured I would too. The only “evidence” I have is in relation to our conversation when she admitted she ripped my sim off. If you’d like those I can share them but otherwise that’s all I have.

I don’t know if this post will reach anyone or even mean anything but I felt like I needed to say these things and make it aware to others. It’s always best to have as much information as possible so that’s what I’m doing here. It’s really up to you to decide what you do with it.

I also want to apologize to everyone affected by the things Simvicii and Oliveandoak have said/done. I’m so sorry I allowed them to say and do the things they said and did. I’m so sorry I didn’t stick up for y’all better. I was afraid of losing ‘friends’ and I was afraid what might happen if I went against them. That doesn’t make it any better but please no I am so deeply sorry for everything said/done in that server that I either aided in or allowed to happen.
