BSD Characters With a Sick S/O
Genre: Fluff, humour.
Warnings: Mentions of death and su!cide in Dazai’s part, pet names. Some characters might be a bit ooc, and this is very cringe, and a lil suggestive. Swearing.
Featuring: Yosano, Gin, Aku, Dazai, Chuuya, Atsushi, Kunikida, Jouno, Tecchou,
Format: Headcanons plus scenarios
Various BSD!characters x gender neutral reader (Chuuya uses ‘princess’ once, Dazai uses ‘belladonna’)
Part one out of three
Coloured character names are the characters I’m featuring in this fic
Tumblr media
OSAMU DAZAI
-How do I start…
-He’s worried. Like it’s not life-threatening, but he’s worried. Maybe because he won’t be able to do a double suicide with you-
-He’d use this as an excuse to skip work. 😭😭😭
-He somehow gets Kunikida to buy the medicine for him. Maybe some convincing lies, and few casual mentions of extortion. 🥲
-You’d be lying in bed like “Honey I need medicine I’ll be fine on my own for a while; can you go buy it?” And dudes like “Nah, we’re getting free delivery service from Kunikida.” 😘
-He’d feed you your medicine and food, and call you ‘good girl’ when you swallow. My mind just went somewhere else if you know what I mean
-Cuddles
-Still very annoying
“Awwwwww, my poor baby is sick.” DAZAI mocked. He pinched your cheeks playfully. “Maybe I’d get to skip work, taking care of you.”
“Shut up.” You grumbled, attempting to throw a pillow at him. He cooed at you for a while, annoying you even more. “Osamu, please stop being a dick for once and buy me medicine.” You broke off in another coughing fit. To that response, Dazai smirked. “Tsk tsk tsk, my dear belladonna, why waste our own time, money, and energy when we can waste other’s?”
“Because,” you responded scathingly, “We aren’t parasites, living off of other peoples expenses. Or I’m not. Maybe you are. Like a leech or something. Sucking other peoples money, time and energy. You’re the embodiment of a parasite.” Dazai gasped, pretending to be stabbed in the gut. Dramatically, he fell to the living room floor, feigning hurt.
“Belladonna! You think this lowly of me?! Oh, the pain you have inflicted upon my poor soul…” You snorted to cover up your laugh. Dazai caught that, and smiled. He stood up, and kissed you on the forehead.
“Goodness! You’re burning up! Sorry sweetie, I have a small phone call to make. Be back in a few!” And he waltzed off towards the kitchen. A couple of minutes later, he returned with a cup of tea and some blankets.
“Medicine is on the way here. Make sure you sound like you’re dying when I open the door. Kunikida is very irritated today. In the meantime, have some tea and I’ll put on a movie. Anything in particular you’d like to watch, Bella?”
CHUUYA NAKAHARA
-Saying he overreacted is an understatement 😨😰
-He probably impulsively spent a lot of money on expensive medicine and stuff that’ll make you feel better 🫡🫡
-You’d be his world, and he’s the major satellite revolving around you
-Personally called Mori to explain why he can’t go to work
-He’d carry you everywhere even to use the bathroom 😭
The moment you told CHUUYA you were sick, he instantly called Mori to tell him he couldn’t go to work.
“Blankets, stuffed animals, food, name it I’ll get it.” He said.
“Chuu, I only have a cold.”
“No. I’m not dismissing this. I’ll get you that plushie you wanted last week… actually, I’ll get my subordinates to get it for you. I’m not leaving your side.” He stated firmly. He picked you up bridal style, ignoring your protests, and gently set you in bed, covering you with a blanket.
“Wait here, princess, I’ll get the fluffy blanket you love. Oh and throw pillows. Do want your iPad, laptop, or phone? Never mind I’ll get them all… TV too.” He hurried out of the room before you could stop him. He returned, holding a giant fluffy blanket. You fought back the urge to laugh. He looked so silly, carrying a pile of fluffy fabric. His arms barely wrapped around it, and he looked tinier than ever. He placed it on the bed, spreading it out. He set down your phone too, he turned to get your laptop too before you coughed.
“Are you okay? How are you feeling, shit I forgot about medicine. Right… cough syrup…” He started listing medicine. Chuuya put a show on for you, then went to cook for you. Several times the doorbell rang, it was his subordinates delivering the medicine and other shit he bought for you.
“Chuuya, this is so expensive!” You protested.
“It’s to make you feel better.” He said severely, spooning mash potatoes into your mouth. You were surrounded by plushies, candles, blankets, and throw pillows.
“Oh Chuuya, you being here is just enough for me. I love you so much; you’re the best boyfriend ever.” His face lit up and went to kiss you, then you stopped him, reminding him that you were sick, and that you were currently trying to chew mashed potatoes.
So much for a romantic moment.
YOSANO AKIKO
-Finally a person who knows what she is dealing with
-I mean she’s a doctor of course she knows
-She’d cuddle with you to make you feel better 🥰🥰🥰
-Huge chance that she already has medicine in her house, but if she doesn’t, she probably would threaten Dazai to buy them for her, and she’d pay him back, but Dazai gets either Kunikida or Atsushi to do it and just takes the money 💀
-Yosano would cook your favourite meal, and sternly but affectionately tell you you can’t have ice cream 🫶🫶🫶
-Cares about you very much, but maybe will still go to work
-She’ll send someone to take care of you!! [See: threaten]
YOSANO frowned.
“You’re sick, you say?” She questioned, concerned. She touched your forehead then checked your temperature. Her face relaxed, then she gently patted you on the head and said,
“Don’t worry, it’s just a cold.” I’ll go check if we have medicine. In the meantime, make yourself comfortable.” You nodded glumly, and she smiled, reaching out to cup your cheeks.
“Awwwww, sweetheart, don’t pout. Here, I’ll carry you.”
“I love you so much.” So Yosano carried you too bed, tucked you in and kissed you on the forehead.
“If you need anything, call me.”
“Okay. Thank you.” She left the room, and you found yourself drifting off until you heard Yosano talking in the living room. It sounded like she was threatening to mutilate someone. Something about medicine and money. Such a loving girlfriend I have, you thought affectionately, recalling how she hugged you, and her scent. You fell asleep, and when you woke up, it was already time for dinner.
“Good evening, my sleeping beauty.” You looked up to find Yosano sitting on the bed, grinning down at you.
“Mornin, love.” You responded groggily. Yosano chuckled.
“Say ‘ahhhh’ for me, darling.” You did what she told you, and she fed you food. Your eyes widened.
“My favourite! Thank youuuu.”
“No problem, sweetheart.” Yosano fed you the rest of your meal, then told you she had the medicine ready. She fed you some, and you made a face and nearly threw up.
“No offense but this tastes like shit.”
“I see you’ve got your attitude back. That’s good. You should be fully recovered in a day or so. And one small question, love. How do you know what shit tastes like?”
That shut you up real quick. You drank the rest of the medicine without complaint. Eventually, Yosano started reading to you.
“Kiss me, you fool!” She cried in a silly voice. She was quite good at reading sad romance novels. You smiled mischievously and leaned in. She smiled too, and before you could talk-
“Shhhh, I’m not going to catch your cold, don’t worry,” she whispered. She tipped your chin up to look at her, then she kissed you.
Quick A/N:
Sorry this took so long! I’m sick, and my roommate, @a-random-weeb is too, so I decided to write this (also because she wrote it too) and it was really rushed. Sorry if it’s cringe and grammar mistakes, and that I only wrote for three characters. University sucks ass.
REBLOGS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

could u write cg doyoung or jaehyun (mayhaps both if ur willing) w a little fem reader? age range doesn't matter, whatever you're comfy with!
star blossom
Tumblr media
genre: fluff
songfic kinda not really.. its just doyoung having his little listen to star blossom for the first time, a song he wrote for her (jus pretend he wrote the song in this world..) 😭
!!! non-sexual agere, only cg name used is doie.
cg!doyoung fem!reader
doyoung has been working a lot later than usual these past weeks, and honestly it has made a difference on you. everytime he comes home you can't help but cling to him for as long as possible. he feels the same way. you have the same effect on him, the way he has an effect on you.
the caregiver title was made for doyoung, who always had the instinct to protect and take care of you since you two met. he was the type to always give you sweet nicknames, like flower, or my love.
the reason hes been working so hard lately, is because hes currently helping write and release a song! what you don't know is that the songs lyrics have been written about you. about the memories the both of you make together. the things you two enjoy.
after long long weeks of doyoung working late, he comes home with good news.
"hi my pretty girl!" he greets when he enters.
"hi doie!!!" you waddle to him, cartoons still playing on the tv.
you immediately start clinging to him, and he pulls you and himself over to the couch. he pulls out his laptop from his bag, and starts typing and clicking. you watch as a file opens, labeled, "star blossom 🌸 demo"
"i've been working so late because i've been writing and singing a song. and i want you to be the first person outside of my coworkers to hear it!" doyoung explains to you.
"wow, i know it'll sound amazing because you made it! can i hear it right now?" you ask, with a head tilt.
he nods, plugs in a pair of earbuds and hands them to you. instead of putting both in, you hands one to him. so you can both listen together, you tell him when he asks.
"a night of walking with you i have these heart fluttering dreams walking, just us two, it's so sweet"
the lyrics remind you of the many times you two went out on late night walks. usually around the park, and you would go when you had trouble sleeping. they were always so peaceful and quiet, only sounds from doyoung or you were heard during the late hours of the night.
"when the white starlight blooms i'll hold your hand"
oh his voice is just so beautiful. from your perspective, its the most angelic thing you've ever heard. you grab his hand, and hes watching you with an adoring look. the two of you are already as close as can be, since you haven't seen eachother all day. going that long without your caregiver can get rough.
"soaked in the yellow moonlight are the hours of the night i'll remember it for a long time"
your mind goes back to those walks, honestly they had to be one of your favorite things to do with your doie. his presence was always just so comforting, you never felt unsafe when he was around. doyoung would always play with you, no matter how exhausted he was from that day. he just made everything better, and you hope he knew that he brought endless love into your life.
"we fill up our empty silences with small conversations. you are so bright, more than those stars"
doyoung did have a habit of calling you his star.. always talked about your bright smile to you, and anyone he had the chance to talk to. he looked at you like you were the only thing in the universe. always with such attention and care, his members loved to tease him about it. he didnt care about that though, because all he really cared about was you.
"look at the stars, theyre shining for you everything is so beautiful, just like when you walked over to me"
he loves you so much. like, so much. doyoung never knew he could love anyone this much. everything you do makes him love you even more, and when he became your caregiver it was like nothing could ever go wrong again. he loves to take care of you, whether you need help eating, or getting dressed. he'll do it for you. or if you do something you're not supposed to, he has no choice but to discipline you. doyoung always feels like the most horrible person ever when he sees you tear up.
speaking of tearing up...
"doie... that was so.. so good!" you say while sniffling, and doyoungs face quickly drops.
"oh my love, i didnt mean to make you cry. i just wanted you to hear the song.." he says, wiping and kissing your tears away.
"it was very pretty.. thats why i cry! and- and the lyrics, like when we, uhh, go walk at night!" you try to explain how you felt, but it was difficult with your current headspace.
"the lyrics were about you pretty girl. its you, you're the star blossom." he smiles, tears building up in his own eyes. doyoung removes the earbuds from his ear and yours, and brings you in for a big hug.
you two stay like that for a while, soaking up eachothers love and comfort. in the next month, when doyoung officially released the song, it was playing non-stop. anytime you got the aux, or had headphones, star blossom was playing. doyoung appreciates all the love you give to the song, knowing that he wrote it with you in mind the whole time.
author note: HI ANON!!! sorry if this took long to put out.. i hope you enjoyed! it was honestly a bit rushed but i actually love this song so bad.. and the lyrics too 🥹 also sorry i didnt ever really mention sejeong.. i still love her tho 😛 shes a boss queen!!! i think this scenario is so cute, like imagine doyoung writing a song for his little omfg. as always, feedback is appreciated! 💕

How about a Scp 2030-1 (Laughy) x reader public s//e//x smut fic? I only found one lemon fic of him on wattpad so maybe you can give him a shot lol
A Good Show
[SCP 2030-1 X GN!Reader, AFAB]
[Warnings: general smut, creampie, biting/marking, Kinda public. MINORS DNI]
[AN: Sorry this is literally months late idk how to explain I’ve been up a wall. Anyways, here’s this. I don’t actually know what mood this is, and had a hell of a time even remembering what tense I’m writing in. my bad lol. 2212 words <;3]
It’s not everyday that you have a skip absolutely obsessed with you, but working for the Foundation has its merits. SCP 2030-1, also known as Laughy McLaugherson, had attached himself to you sometime last year. You had been working under someone, watching tapes, when he’d found himself captivated with your beauty. Though, through the late night visits where he would materialize through your laptop screen, your TV, at one point your shower where there were no electronics to be seen, he’d found himself helplessly infatuated with your mind too.
His obsession is dangerous, anyone could see that. You knew it, but still, here you remained. Laying on your bed, you flicked absentmindedly through channels you had no intention of actually watching. Your other hand pressed on your phone to check the time. Relatively pleased it was past midnight, you tapped the remote to the channel you knew would guarantee his.
His face wasn’t visible, but the rest of him was. He was animated as he explained the joy of coffee houses before his body paused. “Well, lookie here, folks,” he stated in his jovial, upbeat tone. “Seems we’re due for a commercial break! We’ll be back right after these short messages from our sponsors.”
You watched as his body language shifted before your TV displayed ads for products that couldn’t have existed in your current time. You squinted with a small scowl lining your lips. You wondered if he’d step through as dramatically as he usually did. You chuckled when the screen warped, suddenly holding the viscosity of warmed honey as he crawled through similar to the girl from the Ring.
“You have such a pretty laugh,” he noted as he stepped through in full, briefly fixing his tie and smoothing out his dark blue suit that almost hurt your eyes to actually gaze upon. All of this time with him slinking through your various devices and you still haven’t a clue what he looks like. You can feel that he’s smiling, but some part of his anomalous nature blocks your mind from perceiving his face. He’s got tanned skin, a light shade of brown, with dark brown hair that curls like the remnants of a gameshow host pulled from the 60s. But you don’t know the finer features of his face.
You could recall asking him about that when he first started appearing in your home. He told you he did it for your benefit.
“I’m glad you think so,” you finally replied.
He mirrored your chuckle and sat down on your bed. “I know so,” he said simply. “How are you?” He’s already gotten comfortable behind you. His long, lanky body curls around you warmly, a perfect fit to spoon you. He rubbed over your hips, your waist, and your chest before finally cupping there. His hand pressed against your chest, the pads of his fingers gingerly slipping over your nipples.
“I’m fine,” you hummed, clearly turned on by the physical touch. Your hips rolled against his subtly, or as subtly as you could manage. “What about you?”
“Eh,” he began. “Could be better.” He sounded so much more relaxed there in the space of your bedroom than when he would play host to his weird little show. “Did you want me to make some tea?” He asked as he rolled his hand down your stomach again to the hem of your shirt. He played your body like a violin, slowly coaxing your warmth without ever touching it as he moved his hand against your flesh from under your shirt. His fingers didn’t feel calloused at all, but not soft either. He works, but not in the way that shows.
You moaned softly at how easily you fell into his grasp. It isn’t the first time you’ve slept with him, but this is one of the faster times he’s managed to get you to bend to him. “No,” you answered as you bucked your hips back against him. You were nearly desperate to feel him. “You feel different,” you noted.
“Is it bad?”
You shook your head. “What’s gotten into you?”
His lips danced languidly over your neck as he continued to rub you in the right places. “You’ve never really responded to me like this before,” he mumbled. His teeth, just barely sharpened past what’s considered normal, nip at your soft skin. His hand left your nipples to fall between your legs. He let the waistband of your underwear dig into his wrist as his long fingers rolled against your lips, his thumb rubbing ghost-like circles along your clit.
You hummed once more. “You feel good,” you managed to wisp out. On the TV, you saw his show was back on. It was an empty stage, of course. He was in your room entertaining both of your combined desires. “Laughy-”
“Should we give them a show? A real show?” He inquired, voice dripping with lust and the desire to entertain. He felt you flutter even though he hadn’t pushed inside of you. On the TV, your heaving chest caged by his strong arms displayed lewdly. The audience made no sound, but he could feel they were entranced. He didn’t care whether they liked it or not, but chances are they were just as captivated in the good way as he was.
There it was. His cock, already semi-hardened, pressed against your ass. He growled playfully in your ear when you moaned once more upon the sensation of his index and middle fingers just barely dipping into your already weeping pussy.
He chuckles in that slightly condescending way that makes your heart pound. “I’ll take that as a yes.” He worked your body a little faster. His other hand wrapped around you, not caring of the somewhat awkward position as he groped at your chest again. He reveled in the pretty sounds that softly poured from your lips. “I’m going to fuck you,” he whispered in your ear before he bit down on your neck, his sharpened teeth leaving a bloomed mark on your smooth skin.
You nodded fervently. “Please,” you mewled. Usually, you’d let him take his time with you. He was the biggest fan of nestling between your legs and showing you his inhumanly long tongue and all it could do, but you wanted nothing more than for him to bury deep inside of you. The two of you shifted on the bed. You whined at how his warmth left from between your legs but you grinned when he positioned himself above you. The sound of his buckle clicking and sliding off made you press and rub your thighs together. You looked up at him hungrily, even if you couldn’t actually register his face.
He slid off your pants, your underwear, and chuckled once more upon seeing you hurriedly slid your top off as well. He puckered his lips together and you recognize the sounding whistle as that of a wolf, which garnered soft laughter from the audience. His head tipped back while your hands eagerly wrapped around his long, thick cock. He exhaled deeply while your fingers traced over his veins, working him up to that unbearable hardness. His hands spread your legs apart while he fell to his forearms and loomed heavily over you. “You okay?” He checked once more as his hardened cock pressed against your entrance.
“Yes,” you said as you angled your hips upwards. You felt heat rise to your cheeks as the tip of his cock slid up and down to coat itself in your arousal. “I want you to fuck me and for them to watch.” You watched with wide eyes as the head of his cock split you open. Your breath hitched as he disappeared inside of you, inch by inch. Your pussy fluttered. Instinctively, you reached your hands up to his biceps and dug in as hard as you could. You gripped his dark blue suit and let your eyes squeeze shut as he pushed in deeper.
“How long has it been since I last fucked you?” He asked through grit teeth. “You feel so good but I-goddamn it-!” The words were lost on his tongue as he bottomed out deep inside of you. He moved his equally blue eyes over to the TV where the audience could clearly see he was balls deep inside of you. Your pussy stretched to accommodate him, and he reveled in the sight. He pulled his hips back and let himself become absolutely mesmerized by how his cock dragged back before burying deep inside of you again. He groaned deeply upon feeling you grip him harder.
You cried out softly and wrapped your legs around his waist. “Oh gods,” you moaned. “Laughy please-” you pleaded wantonly, “don’t keep me waiting. Fuck me, fuck me, fuck me-!”
Not one to disobey a request said oh so sweetly, he did as you asked. “Your wish is my command,” he smoothly granted. His hips snapped back and forth. He groaned deeply and let his lips fall back to your neck as he pressed hard against you. Thrust after thrust, he found himself absolutely lost in the pleasure of your body. “Keep moaning for me. I don’t give a damn who complains, I want them to know you feel so fucking good because of me.”
Your songs of pleasure grew louder and louder. A tight, warm coil in your belly grew hotter as his cock pressed you open. You panted like a bitch in heat. You suppose that’s how he made you feel. It was appropriate for the situation. Your legs locked so tightly around him refused to loosen as his thrusts grew erratic. You squeezed his cock tightly. “Cum inside of me.” Your mouth was speaking faster than your head could rationalize. “Please, cum inside of me. Fill me up.”
Something about your words spurred him on. He bit at your neck once more to leave those pretty marks your supervisors would positively detest as he grew rougher. He nudged your vision over to the TV to let you see exactly what he was doing to you. He was pounding into you at a dizzying pace. You were so wet that you’d soaked the bed and still had the potential to keep going. He grinned upon seeing your reaction. “You want me to cum inside of you?” He teasingly prodded.
“Yes,” you answered. “More than anything. Fill me up so much I can’t take anymore.” Your body craved him and needed him.
“Then cum on my cock first.” Cockily, he sharply rolled his hips forwards so the tip of his cock pressed against your cervix. In any other situation, it might’ve hurt but gods, part of his anomalous nature must have been suppressing all sensations even hinting to that. He pressed so thickly against you, the tight coil cracked under the pressure, snapped and rushed out from you in white hot pleasure.
Your pussy fluttered and squeezed around his cock as you arched your back and screamed. You didn’t mean to scream, at least not like that, but the pleasure was far too great to ignore. Tears welled in your eyes and clumped together in pearly beads before they rolled down your cheeks. You gripped him tightly as you rode out your orgasm all the while still begging him to unload everything he had deep inside of you.
He was never terribly loud when he came, but something about seeing his cock pressed deep inside of you, it made his heart spin. He groaned deeply as he rutted against you and stilled, his cock twitching as his balls rested flush against your ass. “Fuck you feel so good,” he rasped breathlessly as thick, sticky ropes of cum spurt against your cervix and filled you to the brim. He rolled his hips against you as if to fuck it deep inside of you. His lips pressed gingerly to your neck, even going so far as to flit across your jaw before his eyes caught the sight of the thick white liquid dripping out from your pussy and around his cock onto the bed. He laughed softly before pushing his hips forwards once more.
“Look at that,” he cooed as ons of his hands moved up to your lower abdomen and softly pushed down. “Some of it escaped.”
You looked up at him and felt more heat rise to your face. “Laughy,” you warned. Your tone may have conveyed some form of annoyance but he could recognize that hunger from miles away. “You don’t want me to give you another load?” He cocked his head to the side like a lost puppy. He started to move his hips back. “And I wanted my audience to see an x-ray view,” he trailed off.
You squeezed your legs around his waist once more to draw him in closer. Too embarrassed to say it outright, but craving him oh so badly, you pulled at his collar.
Laughy himself was surprised at the action. He suppressed a yelp before his lips met yours. And he laughed. Genuinely this time. “You have such an odd way of telling me what you want. Don’t they, folks?”
From the TV, a stereotypical chorus of ‘aw!’ filled the room followed by the manufactured wave of clapping.

Bradley and Blossom house hunting headcanon
Part of my home to you universe // Masterlist
Wordcount: 1.4K
Summary: you and Bradley start looking for a house
Warnings: some angst, but mostly fluff
Tumblr media
(this is Bradley talking about his dream house with Blossom)
Bradley and Blossom's house hunt begins not long after she starts her new job. between her settling into her position at the landscaping firm and Bradley spending almost every day of the work week on base, they manage to devote a few hours every weekend to sitting down and doing searches online for their new home;
Blossom definitely buys an organiser to keep on top of the planning, while Bradley is more of a 100 tabs open with different real estate sites kind of guy (his laptop sounds like it’s having an asthma attack and is always just another tab away from fully melting);
so Blossom takes over keeping record of everything (contacts of estate agents, pros and cons of each house, pricing, and the rest);
surprisingly, despite his bad info keeping habits, Bradley is very good with the budgeting side of things. having saved a lot of money over the years by keeping a pretty standard way of living and residing in navy-provided housing, means that their house hunting budget is substantial;
Blossom starts feeling bad about not being able to chip in for the house. her salary is stable enough and is allowing her to save money, but from the looks of things Bradley would be the one actually paying for whatever place they decide to buy. when she shares that Bradley one saturday, he assures her that it’s not a competition of who pays more, they’re a couple and everything his is hers and vice versa. they reach an agreement that she can be in charge of refurbishing costs which settles the matter;
they meet an estate agent (Blossom calls him “our Phil Dunphy” mainly because of his incredible likeness to the Modern Family character in terms of looks and personality);
they seem to get offers pretty quickly and are super excited that they might find the perfect house sooner rather than later. but that excitement is soon diminished when the first twenty places are either too pricey and too small, or would need too much fixing that it would make them cost more than their initial price;
“Phil” asks them to stay positive and keep a mind open — the inflation and housing crisis makes things tricky — but he’s sure that he can find them something;
Penny, being the literal, fucking angel that she is, keeps reiterating that however long it takes, they’re more than welcome to make the guest room their own for the time being;
Amelia seems the happiest that they haven’t moved out yet;
she has Bradley AND Blossom to watch TV and reality shows with (their favourite pastime is making fun of contestants on Too Hot To Handle) and do literally anything fun with.
i mean, she is rooting for them to find a house that she can “occasionally” visit, but she’s enjoying the extra time with her besties;
Maverick is the one who is very sceptical of “Phil” and decides to start his own research to help out. he acts like a total dad with that I-can-do-it-better-than-the-professionals attitude;
Blossom finds it endearing;
Bradley has to pull his reins a little 'Mav, you’re a navy pilot, not an estate agent' but to the og Brossom supporter (ship name is still wip), there is no such thing as 'i’ve never studied how to do that, i’m fucking doing it for y favourite couple ever!';
“Phil” takes Bradley and Blossom on a house viewing in mid-october and the place is simply wonderful;
it's a single level, dark blue shingled bungalow with white trimmings. its asking price is a little steep, but “Phil” is sure he can convince the sellers to "bring it down a smidge" since the kitchen needs full remodelling. and there’s a massive backyard for Blossom to create her own garden space;
a few days before Halloween, however, they get a slapped across the face with a message from “Phil” saying he was sorry, but another buyer — some app developer from San Fransisco — came and took the house at the selling price;
Bradley really tried to hold himself together, seeing Blossom's crestfallen expression when she had to cross out “blue house” in your list. there wasn’t even a single one left that didn’t have that angry red line running across its title;
the two are not really in the mood for another house viewing after that. “Phil” understands their dismay, but reminds them that they shouldn’t give up;
Bradley and Blossom decide to give it a rest and enjoy halloween with friends and family, since stressing over the house hunt is not gonna help them in the end;
they leave “Phil” to keep searching while the two take some time off of that whole project;
Blossom puts her organiser away and doesn’t give it too much thought throughout the week after Halloween;
Penny and Mav organise another barbecue;
this time the party is a little bigger, with more people. and a surprise guest there is Sarah, Ice’s wife;
she comes in with a homemade cake and Bradley is immediately on her, hugging her and kissing her cheeks;
he has very warm memories of spending time at her and Ice’s as a child seeing as uncle Ice was a very prominent figure in his formative years;
Sarah is delighted to meet Blossom
‘She’s absolutely amazing, I’m very happy for you, Bradley,’ she tells him when Blossom's off to get some drinks;
‘She is.’ Bradley is like a kid getting a gold star for spelling, whenever someone compliments her because “yeah, my girl is absolutely fantastic!!! do you know she’s a horticulture expert?? yeah she’s fucking incredible" this man is just smitten and loves his girlfriend to bits;
Bradley and Sarah are chatting, Blossom join them soon after and Bradley pulls her to his side. Sarah mentions that Ice kept everything from Carole's old place in a storage container for him because GODS KNOW Maverick wouldn’t have been able to handle that;
'i’ll give you the location and the key so when the two of you want to move into your own place, you can have everything’;
Bradley mentions that the they are indeed looking for a house, but are unsuccessful so far and Sarah’s like ‘oh, I’ve got a place. yeah, Tom and I’s first house — we used to rent it out quite a lot and David’s (their younger son) been in charge of it since Tom passed away’;
the two of them are immediately like ‘oooooh, tell us more’;
Sarah has pictures of the and tells then everything about it (Bradley barely remembers it, but apparently he’s been there as a child): it’s a two-storey, mediterranean style house. three bedrooms, fully furnished kitchen but some appliances are in need of a change. two and a half bathrooms. with a big backyard and a shed. a literal dream;
‘i can check with David, but i don’t think it’s being used at the moment. you two can move in straight away, free of charge, but i know that David expects it to earn something on the market. but I’d just be happy for it to go to someone in the family.’;
Bradley goes all mushy at that (our boy is has a lot of emotions) and it’s down to Blossom to keep a level head and ask Sarah for her number so the two can discuss it further;
Sarah gives her some more info about the house, letting her know that the soil is quite rocky there so it might be tricky to grow anything. but that’s a welcome challenge for our girl Blossom;
at the end of the night, the two of them are just ecstatic about the possibility of finally finding their dream house. Blossom remains realistic and tell him that they still need to see the place in person before making a decision, plus there’s “Phil”s feelings to consider;
what happens really is the next day, Sarah invites them over to the house and you two are settling on a price with David (an incredibly lowered one considering how expensive houses like that are these days), but they are not ones to look an extremely generous gift horse in the mouth;
Blossom calls “Phil” to thank him for the help, of course. they've found their house;
Bradley and Blossom are moving in around mid-november, opening a new chapter in their life as a couple

🦊 Nope, nothing forgotten! Just tired of not getting notified when you answer.
Very pleased to hear you're doing better! I wish you a continuing speedy recovery.
As for Nosho - I see you haven't heard of his OCs. They are. Trauma in persona. None of those poor souls stays happy for too long. He's an expert in cracking characters like raw eggs. Or porcelain dolls.
Short rundown of The Obsessions! Detroit: Become Human. Video Game. Sci-Fi, Dystopian. Androids have been invented a couple of years prior to the story. They are now found in every profession possible - Doctors, Maids, Police, even Sex Workers, everything. People lose their jobs because of it. People get mad, treat Androids like shit. Androids retaliate. There's a revolution. Your decisions during the game have an impact on the story. There's a lot of possible storylines. I ship two characters who have barely 10Min screen time (Max!) together, one of them having literally 60Sec of it and no line of speech. The fandom built those characters basically from scratch. It's hilarious.
Horizon: Zero Dawn. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU NEVER HEARD OF THIS FRANCHISE. I AM APPALED. LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE GAMES. Again, Video Game. Sci-Fi, Dystopian. Old world ceased to exist, got destroyed. New world was formed. Aloy has been outcast. She doesn't know why. On her quest to find out about her origin, she has to save the world and right a lot of wrongs. I'm sorry, but I can't say more on this without spoilers, and I highly recommed them. (2/3 parts are out so far, third one is in the making!)
Supernatural. You are so wise in not watching it. You'd be SO disappointed. The Queerbait is outrageous. Whatever happened past S10 is a mystery. Absolutely whack. Shit ending. Don't do this to yourself. I got into it when it was still good. And that was the only reason I kept watching. Had I known about that ending beforehand, I wouldn't have touched it.
Duskwood. I will add this even though I didn't mention it previously. Video Game. Horror/Thriller, Interactive Mystery. You are added to a Group Chat. A girl was kidnapped. She supposedly sent your number to her boyfriend who contacted you. They suspect you are the culprit at first. A hacker contacts you, wanting to help you to solve the mystery. If you play as a female character you can woo the hacker. It's hilarious. The Mini Games you have to play in between can be frustrating, but it's worth it.
K.
Hey twin k! How are you doing? Sorry it took me so long to get back to you 🧡 I’m finally back to the land of the living.
@creepkinginc you scare me now. This is a side of you ice never knew. Please never do it to our AUs 😨
Detroit: become human. Okay I see you with shipping characters that have barely been together on screen. I respect your choices but, respectfully, how do you do it? How is there enough to obsess over? Or is it all just headcanons? Wait one of them does even speak? Y’all are something else hahaha
Horizon: zero dawn. The word “dawn” will forever remind me of twilight. I am so sorry I just have never been a video game kind of person!! I don’t even own a tv of a computer! (I have a laptop which I love dearly but I doubt it strong enough for proper games, it’s doesn’t even have a disc compartment lol) this actually sounds very interesting. But like, can I read it or do I have to play to get the plot? Because I’m intrigued but I’m not gonna get into gaming probably. 😅 is there a proper fandom? A love interest?
Supernatural. Yep yep. I had a feeling it was too much queerbaiting that will never give us more than maybe one live confession and no actual relationship. I feel like supernatural-> shameless pipe line is for people who needed to recover from the queerbaiting trauma and get a gay happy ending.
Duskwood. Ohhh cool this is kind of giving pretty little liars vibe. Do you know how I know I live in a queer bubble? My first thought was “oh a lesbian hacker! So cool!” And then I realize… it’s probably a straight man. Hahaha I’m very into the interactive mystery part ( I love reading books from the pov of a detective or someone trying to solve a murder) but the horror part… is it gore? Or like scare to make me pee my pants? Because that’s not for me🙃 but the plot sounds really cool! What are the mini games?
Very impressed with your list of obsessions. Though I have a feeling you’re not satisfied with happy endings lol couldn’t be me. I need my HEA.

Take your laptop, tablet and even your smartphone with you camping with your kids.
This is something I've learned by trial and error. My mother has been my constant supporter throughout the week and has encouraged me to think about and remember this. I only shared with her my excitement over going on my first camping trip with my children as well as her grandkids. And here she was all over my preparations exhaling and puffing out tips and directions for every possible situation. mp3 juice terms of use My mom's talk is fine with me, but listening to her lectures can be uncomfortable. I attempted to complete the task faster than I should. This was a huge mistake that I learned the following day...or two.
We drove out with the car, intending to take it all to the campground. I was determined to recreate the same rustic experience as my father was, so I picked a remote spot that turned out to be in a large no-service zone. Our smartphones were not working which meant we were alone, without any other campers. It's not a problem, I was expecting an amazing time off work Three days of being in nature, in nature.. However, we returned to our cars on the way home, just 24 hours after our camping trip began.
What was the next thing that happened? We didn't have bars, or Internet access, and we had absolutely nothing. I took a laptop along with some games online. The bag didn't even leave my hand. I had a beautiful backdrop to show the trees. They wanted to check their email, check their texts, keep track of school and so on. We packed our bags and returned because I couldn't bear it any longer. My kids made sounds that were almost like piglets in a pigsty eating delicious food. I truly love my children. However, it was embarrassing, they squealed and moaned as their phones began to beep and announcing incoming text messages and emails.
Since then I've learned to be more prepared and attempt not to be in an internet-free zone with no roaming available. But, during our lengthy cruise to get there I realized that I'd need two tablets and my laptop to keep me entertained. My tablet is loaded with Hulu offline video on one hand, and Netflix movies on the other. The laptop is home to all my music videos and movies. I have 600 hours of content, which includes all seasons of Will & Grace, Friends, South Park and other episodes.
Another thing I insist on is 4k. Have you watched this? It's fantastic! I would recommend it. Televisions that have 4K picture support have an amazing software that enhances and processes the picture. The TV converts old videos into something far better. Highly recommended to everyone, girls and boys alike.

I took a laptop along with some online games. The bag didn't even take my hands. I had a beautiful backdrop for the trees to watch small projectors I brought with me for nice big-screen movies. When we took a trip on the boat to get to our destination, we needed our new best buddies. Two laptops and tablets were filled with Hulu offline video downloads, Netflix movies and show on one, and every music video I had on the second. There are tons of videos kids will like. I downloaded music videos from Youtube and converted them into formats like mp3 and mp4 to watch and listen. This web application allows me to download videos directly to my computer. I can then play videos offline at any time I need electricity. I DVR a lot of movies, TV shows and online seminar. I save these videos in mp4 format to my laptop and play them later using VLC as well as KMP or any other player that supports 4K. 4k is another thing which I am adamant about. What have you seen? The video is crystal clear. It's simply stunning. I would highly recommend. Televisions with 4K picture support have an amazing software that improves and processes the image. So old video becomes so much better on the new TV, despite the fact it's not very good initially, it's just a an uninspiring blocky type of recording. However, it changes into a smooth and elegant contemporary video flow. Highly recommended for all girls and boys!

What A Rollercoaster Ride! Amateur to Pro R6 Gamer.
RIP: @KiXSTArTV. Gone too soon. Much love and sincerest condolences to his family and friends, from my family to yours.
About me
My name is Paula (a.k.a @Motherbear_four on Twitter). I moved to Australia with my husband and four children from the UK, and we have dual citizenship. As a wife, mother, and grandparent, I am a healthcare worker and fortunate enough to have all these opportunities in such a beautiful part of the world.
Follow your dreams, but make them happen by setting goals.
I believe anything is possible if you put the work in to make your dreams happen. It doesn't happen overnight and has been a long journey for my son in the gaming industry. If you do what makes you happy, you can achieve anything in life. Overthinking blocks you from your goals. Ensure you set small goals and make them happen. Then it's one step at a time and trust the process.
What were my first thoughts about gaming in the beginning?
My son, Jake' GodLgn' Harris, was at school in year twelve and was considering going on to further study, or so I thought, to become a games designer and eventually move to the USA. Year twelve finished, and my son asked to take a year out to search for his passion in life whilst holding a part-time job, and he discussed this option with his dad. We all agreed on one year. My son said he had joined a team in Rainbow6 Siege and would like to use that year to progress in the gaming industry.
During this time, he was using an old Alienware computer and struggled with lagging due to the PC and internet combined. Frustration was elevating for the whole family back then. We made a lot of sacrifices to help our son try to achieve his goals. After a lot of upset, I found myself defending my sons' career path. Jake convinced me he could do it, and most of all, I believed in my son. We both needed some slack from the family, who didn't understand it was possible. I don't blame them at all. After all, it's a one in a million chance of being successful, right?
The most specific objections all family members discussed.
Here are some of the types of issues we faced and what strategies worked (or are still being tried), but they may or may not be suitable for your family:
Unable to go on the internet now, in the evening to watch our favourite shows.
Resolved by discussing his scrim times (practise with other teams) and working the shows around those times.
Unable to download because we have to be careful with the internet limit.
Resolved by only watching priority shows.
We need better internet speed and unlimited data.
Resolved by internet line upgrades. But we had to wait for months.
Why does he get out of household chores?
Resolved by doing chores before gaming, occasionally post gaming, and giving his sister money to do them for him.
You think more of him than me!
We have not entirely resolved. 'Jake's my number one child' is the joke in the family. I have one son and three daughters. I guess in their minds, their perception may be accurate, although, in reality, it is not. I help each one of them to the same degree in different ways whenever support is needed. Lots of reassurance, love and occasional bribes help too!
Why can't we use the main house computer?
If needed, we resolved it by allowing family members on the main computer when Jake was free from practice and competitions. Later, it helped that everyone had access to laptops or phones.
I can't sit in my living area now to watch television.
We resolved the separation by partitioning the living room from the study with a wall, now a dedicated space for Jake. It wasn't always like that. In the early years, we had the TV sound turned down. We put up a divider to help him with distractions, turning his microphone sensitivity down.
Why can't you come on holiday with us?
Family getaways will not resolve due to tentative schedules. "I will be practising. I don't want to let my team down. I'm not always sure what the dates are for all competitions should we qualify."
Can you stop the dogs barking down the entry and in the front room area?
It was resolved by locking the side door access for the dogs during practice or competitions, only allowing them in the main garden area, and moving the dogs to the far side living area.
The list goes on. Do these sound familiar?
"You need to find a real job, a trade, or go back to study. You do nothing all day but sit at that computer. Spend more time with your in-real-life friends. Stop being so loud, tone it down. What do you plan on doing with your life? You can't do this forever. Why aren't you eating your meals with us anymore? Come out of that room sometimes as it isn't good for you to sit there for hours and hours. When I shout you in for your meals, I don't expect it to be there waiting, going cold. You need to eat." "Can you bring it to me then, please?" "Can you knock before you enter the room?" "Stop walking in, it's so distracting during a scrim" "I need a do not enter sign."
Yes, I know it's hard to believe but, as parents and siblings, in the beginning, stigmas are still just like they are today. We educated ourselves and compromised when frustrations were high on all sides. Battles within the family dynamics of support or lack thereof and being in the middle were Jake, my son. I had to consider all points of view, trying to resolve issues the best way I could with what we had or did not have at the time.
I used to call my son in to do some chores or eat his meals, and all he would say was, "Mum, I'm scrimming". Those words became the household banter. I didn't understand what that was. I didn't realise what training went into gaming as he was never away from the computer. Once I understood this, I often defended the importance of his training to the rest of the family and would set his meal aside for later. As for the rest, we would re-evaluate any more setbacks as a family unit.
As my son progressed to competitions, we needed a new computer. Who knew they would be so expensive? We discussed that since Jake was working, he would contribute towards a new computer since gaming wrecked the old one and would be the primary beneficiary of the new one.
As for the internet problems, it was out of our hands. It was never really any good in Western Australia in our region anyway, but eventually, it got better, and we upgraded that too.
What started as a pastime became more of a career choice, but with constant interruptions to our home life. The family could not use the internet when my son was scrimming or playing in competitions online from home. We were working from the stresses of operating a computer that was not suitable and replacing parts when they went. These were constant frustrations. And all the time, I wanted to give my son the best of everything when we couldn't afford it, with three dependents still living at home. We pushed through every obstacle in our way. It took time, but we got there, eventually.
What are my thoughts on gaming today?
Earning your income in gaming is not in everyone's life. It sure wasn't in my son's life in the beginning. After more discussions, my son handed his notice at his workplace because he wanted to go full-time into gaming, but his work schedule clashed with it. So month after month turned into year after year.
The team had their first 'lucky break' and got signed up to an organisation (commonly abbreviated as an 'org') that didn't want to pay them but promoted them instead. My son didn't mind as it was another step in the right direction, and it was a sacrifice he was willing to make. My son loved the freebies from the org, and they featured him in a Stack Gaming article. I was surprised but unhappy simultaneously, as the article didn't feature the whole team as I assumed. That roster went on to sign up with two other orgs over time, finally with pay. Their hard work was paying off.
Family support is essential, but I still believe that if they want success in the gaming industry, money is just an obstacle they can eventually overcome. If it's their true passion, along with making compromises and working hard, they will get there.
Pressures on parents in gaming.
I have always drilled into my children growing up that it's a hard life out there, and you need to prioritise your career before settling down. Looking back now, that was a bit harsh, but I only wanted the best for my children. I came to realise my idea of their future versus their wants and needs are two separate dreams. I have learned to let them grow and find their way with their own choices, and maybe if I do end up having to pick them back up in times of need, I will. As a family, we always help each other out.
Lack of understanding of the gaming industry as a career choice is often problematic for families to grasp due to the stigmas attached. Talking to my son about it gave me that education that I then forwarded to the family members.
When our son achieved goals with the team and industry, alongside earning an income, we were finally not stressing over equipment. Since his org sent sponsor equipment (peripherals like a headset, mousepad, keyboard) to their players, the rest of the family realised it was achievable. They became further invested in supporting Jake and the team.
We often worried about his mental health, burnout, and generally how he was feeling day by day as the stresses grew. I would ask him to talk to me about anything that was negatively impacting him. My son was often very open - on other days, he just needed rest. We often talk about the good times in gaming too.
Here are suggestions for parents who support their children in their professional gaming careers.
Keeping his bedroom and workspace separate from where he slept was essential. Family members went into another room only when performing in competitions or interviews. If gamers live at home with family members, sometimes this just can't be done due to lack of space. That's when we used a divider until we finally got the room wall up. We also had a whiteboard with rules and schedules, which helped us not interrupt during critical events. I occasionally wrote positive quotes up there for him to see too.
Keeping a positive attitude and not letting your fears show before a match is vital. If you struggle to understand how challenging the game is (strategies and team play), have a go yourself, and you will discover that you will have more appreciation for the game and what your child and their team is achieving. As much as you may want to talk about the game afterwards, this may not be a good idea. They don't always want to speak with you, regardless of the results. So give them the space they need until they are ready to talk about it if they're going to at all. Don't put unnecessary pressure on them; love and support them from behind the scenes.
Organisation support is fundamental.
Keep in mind that while a child is underage, a parent needs to read any contract carefully. Seriously consider consulting a lawyer (past experiences) to read over it, encourage your gaming family member to ask other players who have worked with that org for their opinion on how the org treated them. Usually, parents aren't fluent with all the legal jargon, and many players are benched for many months without pay, waiting until the time runs out before they can get into another org so they can play again. You should feel free to raise a concern regarding specific clauses. You don't need to object to the agreement outright; ask to talk about it and see what the org says. Good orgs should always want to clarify their position and hear players concerns. They want their players to be happy to play for their team.
There are good contracts and bad contracts out there. Teach your child ALWAYS to read their contractual agreement and ask questions if they aren't sure. Although arrangements are about negotiation, the org has the upper hand because they can usually find another player. Kicking player(s) (word kicked often used in the industry to release a player from the team) can occur with some contracts, especially in franchised esports at the moment. In some cases, these decisions are solely on the team to discuss players with their org. On the other hand, you don't want your child signing away their rights or future earnings because of a dodgy contract. Yes, it is essential to understand that when your child becomes a professional and starts earning money to support themselves, your child's esports career is their business.
My son and teammates progressed beyond my expectations since being associated with a well-known, well-established organisation like The Chiefs (one of the top orgs in the OCE region). There are many more opportunities for players at this org, including the chance to work with an esport psychologist, who prioritise players' mental health and helps to improve their performance, and the ability to raise their profile through being involved in marketing sponsors products.
The esports industry is more extensive than just my child playing on their computer. Not only are there subjects in school (and university) being developed, but this industry, based around event planners and tournament organisers, casters, analysts, observers, coaches, journalists/podcasters, camera and other production crew, are all viable job opportunities.
How do I separate my ego, anxiety, and support as a parent in gaming?
I'm very impulsive and often get it wrong, I admit that. Stay away from commenting on social media, especially when feeling negative, unless you connect for help from your support networks. As a parent, you may be hurting, but experience has taught me not to post, comment, or ask questions when you are hurting, as this will never end well for all parties involved. Comments you think are OK at the time might be misconstrued by others, and the last thing you want is to contribute further stress to your child or their teammates.
For example, I used to tweet statistics on how my son performed during his games. I used to find this information on internet sites, even on twitch during the competitions such as:
twitter.com
R6 Sites
twitch_live
twitch_live
twitch_live
I've been asked why a parent might want to interact on Twitter and Twitch. It's a great way to show public support for my child (and I'm lucky my son doesn't mind me doing so). It's fun to express support for the team and the Org. It's quite rare that parents do this - many parents are not inclined to be involved in their child's esports world - but I've always been welcomed and encouraged to participate. Interacting with other users on Twitter is amazing as you get to meet a lot of online people who have the same interests. Because you are intruding on your child's world, you might want to ask them if they think it is alright that you do so, or come up with an agreement that you won't mention X,Y,Z. I guess not every child might welcome a parent's close involvement.
I also occasionally interact on the Twitch stream chat but not when the games start anymore unless it's just for fun games or competitions. However, when I see something I may misconstrue as toxic and people with egos I used to become very defensive and occasionally still do. For instance, knocking a team out of competition and tweeting toxic comments rather than celebrating their own win and showing at least some limited respect to the opposing teams. I don't disagree with this banter but I just want to give an example of how it can make someone comment in retaliation but that is the whole point of comments to get a reaction and get into the minds of others.
Whether you like it or not, you now represent the 'face' of the organisation too. Self-image is an essential aspect if you want to take this seriously, I've come to understand where it can reflect upon my child and his org, and now, I do my utmost best not to make the same mistakes. I have learned that you can't just go posting online without consequences, as not everyone will like you or what you post. I didn't realise how harmful some posts can be and their effect on your mental state, including players. Now I do. I thought I was just a proud parent, but in reality, I was ego-ing myself at the expense of potentially hurting others. There are many other ways to support your gaming family members without making the same mistakes I have (and occasionally still do). Online support of your child and their team can come in many ways, with something just as simple as likes and retweets, without needing to comment further.
My anxiety never gets better during competitions; I learn to deal with it in other ways. Game watching rituals are things I say and do during a game, depending on how I feel, and every day is different. I miss some games due to work obligations, so I watch them when I get home, and I choose not to watch some games at all. But when I do, I use positive vocal and visual affirmations on how I want the game to go. It doesn't always go as planned, so I reset my assertions on importance versus non-importance. I walk around, go out in the fresh air looking at the wildlife from my alfresco. I may occasionally hold onto one of my crystal stones and focus on that, so I stop focusing on the stresses and stay in the present.
Steer clear if you are easily affected by caster, viewer & gamer comments.
Casters often do and say things to vamp up the game, and these comments can often cause controversy. After all, it is their job to commentate and keep up with the stats and give out banter. You can mute or watch the game later when your stresses are less heightened; read the comments now and then as it shows who is supporting your network. But be cautious; it can be toxic and mentally taxing to read when the game is one-sided or intense. If you find yourself in a stressful situation due to the comments, turn off chat. You don't need all that negativity! You can mute followers, unfollow, or make private lists (so you don't miss anything from your favourites). Educate yourself by talking to your gaming family member(s) or members of the gaming community.
Have questions ready for your understanding. I can occasionally ask questions at raw moments, but it is less often than it used to be as it never ended well; we both just felt more deflated. As a gamer parent, you will learn what is essential and what is not worth the worry. Being overly concerned with numbers in K/D (Kill/Deaths) is just one performance metric, but it doesn't pay to be focusing just on that. It's about how well the players perform, like a team that counts more.
Not receiving recognition of effort can affect a player's mental health at some point in their lives, especially when they have practised for hours and the results are not showing it. There is no 'I' in teamwork, and everyone just has to put in the hours of practice even if they don't feel like it. Although putting players on pedestals is not helpful, it doesn't hurt to comment when your child is performing well individually or congratulate them on their achievements once in a while. Understanding that we don't know what's going on in the background can affect performances. I loved all the attention my son received until I learned how much pressure was on him. It creates too many expectations for the team to constantly perform at a higher level, even when it may not be possible due to mental health and problems they encounter in their private life. For example, stress can prevent further planning for tactic strategies mid-game, affecting performance, causing low self-esteem and a lack of confidence. All of which can be so hard to bounce back. As the saying goes, 'don't bring your problems to work' is easier said than done.
Connect with fellow gamer parents.
Connect with other gamer parents going through a similar, if not the same, roller coaster ride as you. I have always been shy (hard to believe, huh); I overcame many challenges over time, and it didn't happen overnight. I love that my support network has given me great advice in these more recent times. Gaming parents have reached out to me, and just knowing I wasn't alone on this journey is a huge step when being a part of the gaming environment.
In many cases, we don't talk about gaming because sometimes we as parents need a break from it, but I will never forget those who came into my life because of this experience. These are people I can now call friends, and I am grateful for them.Jake 'GodLgn' HarrisAmateur to Pro timeline on Jake's journey.

Bring tablets, laptops, and sometimes even an iPhone with videos to take camping with the kids.
This is something I have learned by trial and error. My mother was always there to remind me that I need to be prepared for any situation. My excitement about the first camping trip I took with my grandchildren, my kids, was all I shared with her. http://snatch.media She was all about my preparations, giving me advice and direction on every situation. My mom's talk is fine for me, but listening to her lecture can be uncomfortable. I tried to finish the work faster than I should. That was a major mistake.
Tumblr media
Our car was with us, and we drove it to the campground. I wanted to recreate the same rural experience that my father had, so I chose one remote location that turned out to be located in a huge no-service zone. Our smartphones were not working and we were alone, without any other campers. You can blame me I was expecting a great time off working, three days out in the wilderness and with nature.. Then we were back in the car on the way home 24hrs into the camping excursion.. What happened? We didn't have anything, none of the internet, there were no bars and had no money. My laptop was on me and it didn't make it to the bag. I had prepared a background for the trees to let them see the projector I had brought along with my laptop. I was unable to access Hulu or Netflix and it was difficult to endure their presence. All they wanted was to check their emails, text messages, school matters, etc. It was just too for me to handle and I packed up to go. My kids were sounding almost exactly like pigs eating tasty food items after we left the WiFi-free area. I truly cherish my children. It was embarrassing. They groaned and squealed when their phones began to sound, alerting them to new messages on their phones. Since then, I've learned how to make better plans and avoid being in an area without internet access and no roaming. This time, we took a long cruise to our destination, there I needed my new best buddies with me - two tablets and a laptops stuffed with Hulu offline video downloads on oneand Netflix movies and TV shows on the other and laptop has all the music videos, music and large movies that I've downloaded for later viewing with both Hulu and Netflix apps that are available through the Windows app store. I have more than 600 hours of content to watch, including complete episodes from South Park, Friends, Will & Grace and Friends seasons. I have a lot of videos of children laughing, therefore I downloaded a few Youtube videos. Some of the videos were converted to the formats of mp3 or mp4. I found this web app that allows me download video directly onto my laptop. This means I can play the videos offline at any time I want, so long as I have enough electricity. I DVR a lot movies, TV Shows, and just online lectures and so on. So, I save them in the format mp4 on my laptop. Then, I am able to play them using VLC/KMP or other software that can play video files. 4k is another thing I am adamant about. What have you seen? It's fantastic! I would recommend it. There's an amazing software available in new TVs which support 4K image. It processes the picture and enhances it. It also enhances it. Old video looks so much better on the TV. Even though it's not excellent, it can be transformed into a smooth, contemporary video flow. Highly recommended for everyone, girls and boys alike.

Stray Kids Reaction | Another Member Takes You In [Request]
Tumblr media
A/N: I tried to get these as different from one another as I could so I hope this is okay for you lovely anon! Also I didn’t want to make the endings super fluffy just because with angst there isn’t always a makeup lmao
Chan:
This fight felt like it had been going on for hours now, both you and Chan just bickering back and forth at one another. All this because he was cancelling on another date with you, normally you were patient with him but today was different. It was your anniversary and he'd just cancelled again, last-minute with little to no explanation as to why.
"I get wanting to cancel, you're busy but tonight is our anniversary Chan...C-Can't you just stay home for once?" You questioned calmly as you looked into his eyes. For a second you thought he was going to agree with you, his facial expression softened but it snapped back to the cold one within a matter of seconds.
"I'm busy! You knew what you were getting into when we got into this relationship Y/n, I don't care about some stupid anniversary dinner." He mumbled as he turned away from you going back over to his laptop to start working. Normally you wouldn't get too worked up about it, you knew how much this all meant to Chan and you loved how passionate he was but calling your anniversary stupid hit you hard.
"You think our relationship is stupid?"
"And pointless, it's never going to go anywhere!" He yelled as he turned back to face you, tears were beginning to form in your eyes so you nodded at him not knowing what to say to him.
"Just get out of my face! I don't want to see you right now!" Chan yelled from across the apartment with his back to you he was back on his laptop, you stared at him for a couple of seconds to see if he was being serious. Empty threats were something he'd done in the past but when he turned around to face you you could see it in his eyes that meant it.
"Y/N! I don't want you here, get out of this apartment! I never want to see you again... It's just easier if we break it off now." He was turning red in the face with anger by now and you panicked. Whenever someone yelled at you all you could do was cry and hide so you just backed out of the apartment without a second thought about it. Rushing out onto the busy streets of Korea with no idea where you were going or what you were going to do. Your phone was up in the apartment along with your keys and clothes so you didn't know what to do. The wind was bitter and cold outside so you pulled your arms around yourself as you began to walk around, trying to find a small cafe you could sit in for an hour or two while you figured out your next move.
(X)
Felix walked down the streets towards Chan's place after getting some weird text messages from his friend, something about breaking up with you and that he needed help getting your stuff sorted. He was about to head down the street to the apartment when he saw you sitting on the floor in front of a shop. He almost hadn't recognised you at first but as soon as you looked up at him you knew it was him,
"Y/n!? W-What are you doing out on the street?!" He panicked as he reached down to help you up from the floor. He noticed tear stains running down your cheeks and you were shivering,
"Here," He slipped off his large coat and wrapped it around you,
"It's pitch black outside and below freezing, you should be back with Chan-" As soon as Felix tried to usher you in the direction of the apartment you shook your head violently.
"H-He kicked me out...H-He doesn't want to see me," Felix frowned as he looked down at you,
"What-"
"He told me he never wanted to see me again...T-Threw me out." Your voice was starting to crack as you could feel yourself getting sick,
"Come on...I'll take you back to the dorms then," He whispered as he pulled you in the opposite direction. Sending Chan a quick message,
Seungmin's sick. Going to look after him. sorry.
He wasn't going to give him a better explanation than that he didn't deserve it, he knew Chan was his friend before you were but throwing you out into the streets while it was below zero outside.
"Where's your phone? You could have called me..." He whispered as he continued walking you in the direction of the dorms,
"It's at his...I-I just left like he told me too...Everything is there." You began sobbing into your hands as Felix guided you through the streets trying to comfort you as best as he could while he walked.
(X)
A week had passed since Chan had kicked you out, Felix had made an attempt to go and get some of your things from the place but all he'd managed to get were some clothes and your phone without Chan noticing. You'd been staying in Chan's old bed while you tried to get back on your feet, you'd been sick for the last week since you'd been outside for so long without a coat. You were asleep in the bunk when Chan walked into the room, he was looking for one of his old hard drives in the room and jumped back when he heard someone roll over in the bed.
"Y-Y/n?" He took one look at you and knew you were sick, guilt rushed over him at the thought of you being sick because of him.
"L-Lix?" Even your voice sounded awful, you rolled over to see whoever it was staring at you when you jumped a little.
"C-Chan?!" Your voice cracked as you stared back at him, he looked at you properly now. You were dressed in one of his old shirts he'd left here.
"What are you doing here?" You tried to question him but he shook his head at you reaching out to touch your forehead,
"You're sick?! Do you have any meds? Are you okay?!" You moved away from his touch and he frowned,
"Y/n....What's wrong?"
"Why are you trying to play the concerned boyfriend role? Y-You weren't all that concerned when you threw me out onto the street." He shook his head at you mumbling about how he'd just been stressed out at work and he didn't mean the things he'd said but that didn't mean they weren't stuck in your head.
"Chan, you called out relationship pointless, that it was never going anywhere." He shuddered as he remembered what he had said to you.
"I didn't mean it though..." You stared at him and then down at your phone. Crawling out of the bed you made your way to the kitchen with Chan close behind you watching your every move.
"What are you doing?"
"Taking medication, I'm sick. I need to take the meds or Felix will kill me." You swallowed two pills before making your way back to the bedroom, Chan still following along.
"Come home, I can look after you. I-I'll make sure you get better." You shook your head at him as you got back into the top bunk, snuggling down into the sheets.
"C-Chan we're over...You told me it was pointless, I don't want to be with someone who sees our relationship as stupid and pointless..." You yawned looking at him, he was about to say something when the door to the bedroom opened.
"I got you your favourite cough drop and-" Felix stopped when he realised Chan was in the room,
"Come to see the damage you've done?" He snapped at Chan, you hissed as you sat back up.
"Don't. Don't fight because of me, you're the best of friends don't ruin that over me." You mumbled as you coughed into your hands, reaching for the hand sanitiser that you'd secured onto the bed.
(X)
A few hours later all of the boys were home and surprised to see you out of bed, walking around in full clothes instead of the shorts and top you'd been wearing all week.
"Soup on the hob," You whispered as you could barely talk, Chan looked over at the boys who were all frowning. By now they'd heard the story of what happened between you both and wondered why he was there.
"Y-Y/n and are decided to try and be friends...Makes things right and easier with everyone." He admitted as he looked at you, friends was better than cutting him out of your life and making yourself hate him. It had come to you both after talking with Felix for two hours straight, trying to figure out a way to get through all of this without either of you being the bad guy. Friends were the best way forward...Even if it would be hard.
Tumblr media
Minho:
The only problem with living with Minho at the dorms was that you had nowhere else to go, he would be practising sometimes at the dorms so you would have to go into the rooms but even then you felt like a burden to the other boys. Which was why you were fighting tonight, Seungmin had just come into the apartment to grab his house keys for his trip home when he heard the screaming coming from the living room,
"You're so fucking annoying to everyone! Not just me!" Minho screamed at you as you stood as still as a post staring at him, you didn't even flinch as he came closer to you and yelled.
"You're a burden! All you do is distract us, do you have any idea how disgusting it is to just turn and see you everywhere I go!? Not even a second of peace!" You looked down at the floor not wanting to cry in front of him or any of the other boys who were now coming to see what was going on. Watching you as if this was just some kind of drama on the TV as if you weren't currently having your heart ripped out by the love of your life.
"I don't want you around me anymore, all you ever do is whine about things. Everyway I turn you're just there! Fuck!" Wasting no time on hearing him talk anymore you rushed into his room, shoving clothes into a bag while Jeongin looked at you nervously. Wondering if he was supposed to say something or just avoid looking at you. He chose the latter as he rolled over on his bed to face away from you.
"Leaving?! Good!" Minho spat as he watched you rush towards the dorm front door, tears streaming down your cheeks as you slammed it behind you.
"Hyung-" Seungmin tried to say but Minho just stormed off into the bathroom, ignoring everyone around him who were trying to speak with that Seungmin left. Catching up to you outside as he smiled weakly,
"Come on," He whispered as he nodded over to his waiting taxi.
"Seungmin you're going home- I can't-"
"Don't say you can't, you have nowhere else to go. I'm offering a place." You smiled weakly as you walked over to the cab, getting inside with him as he smiled back at you. Seungmin and you had always been close friends, he was one of the reasons you and Minho had met in the first place. Taking you in was not a problem for him, his family loved you anyway.
(X)
Staying with Seungmin and his parents felt like you were just having a larger sleepover, Seungmin's mother had managed to get you a job interview with a store down the road from her workplace which you'd nailed. Landing the job instantly,
"Seungmin?" You called out as you walked into the house, his parents were still at work and his older sister wasn't home for the break yet.
"Seungmin I got the...job..." You slowed down your speech when you walked into the living room to see Minho sitting there beside Seungmin. Both of them looked like they had been engaging in a deep conversation before you walked into the room.
"You've been hiding them out here?" Minho snapped as he turned to see you standing there, he looked like a wreck. His hair was a mess, he was dressed in dirty clothes and honestly looked like he hadn't slept. Unlike you who seemed to be doing better than ever now that you weren't cramped up in the dorms all of the time.
"Don't bring Seungmin into this, he took me in when I had nowhere to go." You mumbled, putting your bag down onto the floor as you glanced at Seungmin,
"I've been worried sick about you." Minho tried to defend himself but you shook your head at him,
"If you were that concerned you wouldn't have kicked me out, treated me like trash in front of our friends." You mumbled to him as you turned away from him,
"I didn't mean what I said, I was just behind on the dances and then you were there. You were the first person I passed the blame onto..." You stared at him as if he thought that it would be okay just because of how stressed out he was.
"You think that makes it all better? Because it doesn't! You played on my worst insecurities and you know that." You argued as he stared at you, his eyes filling with tears as he thought back on all of the things he'd said to you. The moment he locked himself in the bathroom that day he broke down, he'd done everything he could to find you but you'd blocked his calls, ignored his texts. What else was he supposed to do?
"I tried to make things right! You ignored me!"
"I ignored you because you broke my heart, you embarrassed me in front of everyone Lee Know," The full name came out and he knew he was in trouble, he turned to look away from you.
"C-Can I ever make it right?" His voice was calmer now, his body language was slumped as he looked at you.
"No. Nothing you say or do will ever make it right..." It was the truth, nothing in the world could take back what he had said to you, you loved him with all of your heart but there was no way you could go back to someone who would use your insecurities against you like that.
"Can we at least be civil?" Seungmin watched as you both stared into one another's eyes, nodding as you reached out your hands to each other and shook on it.
"I-I'll get the rest of my stuff when I get my own place." You whispered as you stared into Minho's eyes, your hands still shaking even though the deal had already been made.
"Okay...Sounds like a plan," He mumbled sadly as he realised this was probably going to be the last time he was going to get to see you properly.
(X)
All of your boxes were moved into the new apartment, a small studio just up the road from your workplace.
"That's the last of it." Minho and Seungmin cried out as they dropped off the final boxes in your kitchen area,
"Looks cosy," Minho whispered as Seungmin went to go and lock the car up,
"Feels it too," You looked at him as you bit down on your lip. Things with Minho had started off rocky, neither of you could stand to be in the same room as one another for longer than ten minutes but after a while, you relaxed into the friend's thing. But now...It was four months later and it seemed as though everything was forgiven between you both.
"I hope you can be happy here," He whispered as he stepped closer to you looking into your eyes as he smiled at you,
"I hope so too." You looked up at him as he began to lean down into your personal space, you closed the gap between you leaving a small kiss on his lips before pulling away. The sparks and feelings all still there from before,
"I'll call you...We'll talk," He whispered to you before leaving another kiss on your cheek before turning to go and meet Seungmin outside.
Tumblr media
Changbin:
Something was wrong with Changbin and it had been bugging you all week, he'd done nothing but avoid you and act weird when you tried to get romantic with you. Pushing you away, telling you he wasn't in the mood or would just leave whenever you tried to kiss him.
"Did I do something to upset you?" You questioned when Changbin got up again, you'd joined him in the living room to watch a movie. Sitting beside him when he got up to leave.
"Why would you think that?" He mumbled staring in front of him instead of in your direction,
"You haven't looked at me, you keep pushing me away...Whatever it is I did I'm sorry..." There was nothing you had to be sorry for though. This was all on Changbin but you didn't know that. You figured you'd done something that upset him not meaning to.
"You need to leave." You frowned when the words came from his mouth,
"Changbin what are you talking about?" You laughed nervously thinking this was his idea of some kind of joke which wasn't funny in the slightest.
"You have to leave. I don't want to be around you anymore." He turned to face you this time, his expression was cold as he stared down into your eyes.
"Leave? I-I don't-" You tried explaining that you would have nowhere else to go, none of your friends lived in Seoul and it wasn't as though you could go out and find an apartment to go and stay in right now.
"Get out! We're over, this relationship is finished!" He yelled out cutting you off midsentence causing you to flinch a little,
"Changbin-" He stormed away from you going into the bathroom leaving you to get up and start packing some clothes into a bag for the night or two. You just thought he would need some time to cool off and everything would be okay, there was clearly something bothering him he wasn't ready to talk about yet.
(X)
"Changbin text me when you're-" He slammed the door cutting you off instantly and you felt your heartbreak, he'd thrown you out like you were nothing but trash to him. The moment Changbin slammed the door in your face he regretted it but it had to be done, he laid his head on the wood of the door before sliding down it and bringing his knees into his chest.
"F-Fuck." You mumbled as you got outside to see it snowing, you dragged your phone out of your pocket to see if there was a hotel nearby when you saw a text and missed calls from Jeongin.
"Hey, what's up?" You tried to play it off as though you hadn't been crying on your walk out of the apartment,
"I was calling to see if we were still on for game night...We were supposed to be battling the boss tonight?" You'd completely forgotten about that, all week long you'd been promising to help Jeongin on a boss battle on a game he was stuck on.
"I erm...I don't-" Sobs interrupted your words and instantly Jeongin felt panicked, you were like an older sibling to him and to hear you crying like that down the phone to him he wanted to come and get you.
"Where are you?" He got up from his bed as he changed into some clothes,
"Outside a cafe on Changbin's street." You mumbled defeatedly, you knew running to one of his friends would end badly but with nowhere else to turn it didn't seem like you had another choice.
(X)
"He just kicked you out?" Minho questioned as you ate food with them, Jeongin had come to get you and picked up dinner on the way back. Both of you going over everything that had happened with Changbin in the apartment you shared,
"Said he didn't want to be around me anymore, that we were finished." You stared down at the noddles you were holding on your chopstick, it was taking everything inside of you not to cry out about it again.
"It doesn't sound like Changbin..." Jeongin said as he passed you some water, all of the boys nodded in agreement as they stared at you.
"That's what happened...He's been off all week long..." You were going to explain in more detail but the doorbell rang, Seungmin rushed over to the peephole.
"Changbin's here," He whispered over to you guys, you scrambled up from the table rushing into the bathroom to hide until he eventually left.
(X)
You'd barely left the dorm since arriving there, you'd called in sick to work not wanting to face anyone yet and Jeongin had been bringing you food into the bedroom. Despite Chan's disagreement with having food in their rooms.
"Y/N! I know you're here!" You woke up instantly as you sat up in the bottom bunk hitting your head on the slab above you,
"Son of bitch," You grunted as you rolled off the bed and went to see what they were yelling about, you opened the door to see Jeongin trying to hold back Changbin who looked like a state. He looked worse than you did and that was saying something since you'd barely changed out of the shorts and shirt you were wearing,
"C-Changbin? What-" You stopped when he rushed over to you, grabbing onto your arms and staring down at you, he moved his hands up to cup your face,
"You okay? You look like you haven't been sleeping. Why haven't they been sleeping?!" Changbin asked in a panicked tone as he stared down into your eyes not looking away for even a second.
"I-I haven't been sleeping well...It's hard to sleep without you, Why do you care?" You tried to move away from him but he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer not wanting you to go.
"Please...Hear him out..." Jeongin mumbled from the front door, he was getting ready to leave for the day when Changbin had barged in trying to get to you.
Once everyone was gone and it was just you and Changbin he began to explain what had happened and why he'd pushed you away the way he did.
"You have to know I never wanted to...I had to...If-If I didn't they could have started on you next and I didn't want that." You frowned as he spoke to you, you were trying your best to follow along but it was hard when he was making little to no sense.
"Who would have started on me? Changbin what's going on?"
"Someone was threatening to expose us to everyone...Not just to the company but to everyone...They had photos and videos of us..." Your heart sunk at the thought of someone else knowing about your relationship, you worked for JYP it was written into your contract that you weren't supposed to date within the company.
"Changbin..."
"I found them, as soon as I found them I went to my manager. I told them that they were threatening me with illegal obtained photographs and videos and they were fired." You stared at him as he told you all of this,
"I told my manager about us..." Your heart began to pick up in speed at the thought of them knowing,
"You can keep your job but we have to- Well you're not allowed to work closely with me anymore. You'll be moved onto a different team," Your eyes lit up as you looked at Changbin,
"That's it? That's all? Just move to a different team...W-We can still-" You were going to say still date but Changbin cut you off, you'd been dating for so long he could practically read your mind.
"Only if you want to." Without a word, you wrapped your arms around his neck and brought him into a passionate kiss.

Hyunjin:
"How could you be so fucking stupid?!" Hyunjin called out as he laughed sarcastically at you, you looked away from him as you felt the tears in your eyes beginning to well up. You'd been fired from work that morning after making a huge mistake, that wasn't even that huge. All you'd done was drop a tray full of someones food order onto the floor smashing into the ground but your boss was temperamental and fired you on the spot. Wasting no time on embarrassing you in a restaurant full of customers, some of whom recorded the entire thing.
"It was an accident, I tripped over someone's bag and I-"
"You're so clumsy and stupid! Do you know that?!" There was that word again "stupid" he'd thrown that word around a lot since you told him you'd be fired and why exactly that was.
"How do you think you're going to support yourself now? Do you think you're just going to rely on me?! Because you're not!" He snapped as he turned to look at you, you wiped the tears away from your cheeks as you began explaining your plan to get another job but it wasn't good enough. Nothing was ever good enough when Hyunjin was in a bad mood.
"I want you out of this apartment. We're done. Over. I won't date someone who can't even hold down a proper job!" At first, you thought it was some kind of empty threat he was making but when he turned to see you standing there he repeated it.
"I pay for this apartment. Get out."
(X)
Changbin was doing his afternoon run near the Han River when he noticed you sitting on a bench clutching onto a hot chocolate and shaking.
"Y/n?" He frowned pulling the earbuds from his ear, you looked up at him and then back down to your drink not saying a word.
"What happened? It's freezing, you're out here with nothing but a thin jacket." He hissed wishing he brought along his own jacket so he could warm you up.
"Hyunjin and I...We had a fight." You mumbled, not wanting to go into details about what had happened and what Hyunjin had called you.
"Come on. I'll take you to mine for the night, you know Hyunjin. He's probably just being dramatic." When Changbin went to reach out to help you stand up you moved away.
"I-I don't need your help, you're his friend not mine." Changbin stared at you with raised eyebrows wondering if you really meant that.
"Y/n. You're coming with me. End of discussion." He mumbled to you as he took your arm in his and began walking in the direction of his parent's place. He was staying there while the dorms were being redone.
(X)
"He threw you out because you lost your job?" Changbin questioned as he placed a plate full of food down in front of you, his parents were in bed, his sister too so you were free to talk openly about this without fear of someone hearing you.
"Yeah," You managed to say before silently letting the tears roll down your face, you covered your face with your hands not wanting Changbin to see you like this.
"I-It's silly but it hurts, I-I was going to get out and get another one but he just kept calling me stupid...That he couldn't be with someone without a job." Changbin moved closer to you as he wrapped his arms around your shoulder, you sobbed into his chest silently as you tried not to make too much noise.
"It's alright...He's probably just as upset as you are right now..."
(X)
Hyunjin walked into the studios the next day to see you sitting beside Changbin and writing something down,
"What are you doing here?" His tone of voice came out meaner than he had intended it too, he'd hated himself for throwing you out the night before and he didn't want that to be the end of you.
"Changbin's helping me...I'm- I kind of got an internship." You mumbled not looking in his direction as you continued noting down everything Changbin was saying to you about the system you were using.
"So you're just...Fine then? You're not upset about yesterday?" Changbin stopped talking as he turned to look at you, he was trying to see what you wanted him to do so you nodded over at the door which was his cue to leave you alone.
"Depends..."
"On what?" Hyunjin whispered as he sat down on the small sofa in the studio, you looked at him for the first time his hair was strewn in every which way, he had bags under his eyes and you were pretty sure he was in the same clothes he was in yesterday.
"What you have to say for yourself," The moment you'd walked out of the apartment Hyunjin had felt nothing but guilt about what he'd said to you. He knew it was the one thing you were most insecure about, being called stupid for things everyone messed up on.
"I was an idiot, I shouldn't have said everything I did...I-I should have been the supporting boyfriend instead I decided to play the idiot card." You stared at him as he looked down at his hands,
"An internship though, that's great." He whispered looking up at you,
"It is..." The air was awkward now, you didn't know where you stood with him now that he'd said sorry...Was the breakup real? Did he still want to end things?
"Come back...Tonight...Come back with me. I didn't mean what I said I was just-"
"Hyunjin I...I don't know if going back tonight is a good idea." You admitted as you looked into his eyes,
"You don't want to be back together with me?" His voice cracked at the thought of it and you shook your head at him,
"I-I do! I just don't think moving right back in is good...Maybe some time away from one another is good, w-we'll still be dating but not around each other all of the time." You whispered to him as you waiting for his opinion on it all. He reached out and took you by the hips,
"That sounds good to me." He whispered softly before leaving a small kiss on your lips.

Jisung:
Everyone knew how quick-tempered Jisung was when it came to things so when he heard rumours floating around at the JYP building that you and Minho had been spotted kissing he flipped. Of course, it wasn't true but that didn't mean Jisung was going to listen to reason about it all.
"Jisung we weren't kissing! I was showing him pictures of cats!" You yelled as he began throwing your clothes into a suitcase, you'd only moved in together over a month ago and he was already trying to get rid of you. Ignoring everything you were saying in your defence of the rumours, no excuse was going to be good enough because to him that's all they were. Excuses. The rumour was true and that was that in his mind.
"Sungie." You breathed out trying to get him to calm down but he shuddered at the name, zipping up your bag and walking it to the front door.
"You're not even going to talk to me, you're just throwing me out?" You questioned as he opened the door and pushed the suitcase out into the wall, he stared up into your eyes and you frowned waiting to hear something from him but instead, he just shut the door on you.
(X)
"Hey, I was just about to call you," Minho said as he opened the door to his place to see you standing there, the huge smile that was there vanished as soon as he saw the tears rolling down your face.
"What happened?" His eyes travelled down to the suitcase you were holding behind you,
"C-Can I stay here for a few days? He kicked me out....B-Broke things off." You mumbled as you tiredly waited for an answer. You'd been walking around the streets looking for some hotel that would take you in but with hardly any money and no cards they weren't going to take the chance.
"Sure, c-come in." He moved out of the way and you walked into the apartment greeting Sooni, Doongi and Dori as they came wandering over to see who was here.
"What happened?" He questioned as he walked into the kitchen to make you both a hot drink,
"He's convinced I'm sleeping with you, there's a rumour going around that we were kissing." As soon as you sat down Dori curled up in your lap snuggling into you as you waited for Minho.
"Why would he believe something like that? You just moved in together," He mumbled as he brought the drinks over on a small tray, setting them down on the table in front of you as you did your best not to cry over it.
"Hey, it's okay...He's probably just upset right now, he'll realise how dumb it is soon." Minho only ever showed his sweet side to certain people, you were one of the lucky few that this happened to.
(X)
The next day when Minho walked into the building he saw Jisung walking with Chan and Changbin,
"Jisung!" He called out making the boy turn to face him instantly,
"What's your problem? Y/n came to mine last night crying their heart out, why are you being such an idiot?" He hadn't meant for it to come out as harsh as it did but he was mad at Jisung for believing in petty little rumours like that one.
"I'm the idiot?! You're the one kissing my partner!" Chan stood between them both as he could see how angry Jisung was growing as Minho stared him down,
"Studio. Now. Both of you." He said through gritted teeth as people turned to stare at the pair of them yelling at one another in the hallways.
(X)
Jisung walked into Minho's apartment after getting the key from him, he was coming to say sorry for everything. Once Minho explained what had happened and what was actually happening when you were supposedly "kissing" Jisung seemed to calm down. Regretting everything he'd done by kicking you out, he'd tried calling you but you were ignoring his calls and ignoring everyone.
"Y/n? I came around to say sorry! Y/n?" Jisung pulled the door to the bedroom open to find you sobbing hysterically into the pillows, all three of Minhos' cats laid behind you as though they were trying to comfort you.
"Y/n..." He breathed out as soon as he caught sight of you, you whimpered as you looked over at him turning away but he rushed over to your side. Sitting beside you as he pulled you closer to him.
"I'm sorry, Minho explained-"
"I tried to explain it. You ignored me and kicked me out." You hissed at him trying to get away but he kept his grip on you, not wanting you to leave him again now that he had you back in his arms.
"I was upset, I wasn't listening because I-I thought it could have been true, you deserve someone better." He mumbled, his own tears rolling down his face as he thought back on it.
"Jisung. I love you. I moved in with you. Not Minho. You." You sat up facing him, Dori looked between you both as though she could tell what was happening before jumping off the bed to go and eat.
"I'm sorry...I was just upset and insecure, and I thought maybe there was a possibility." You shook your head at him, reminding him once again that he was the one that you loved. No one would be able to replace him in your heart.
"Will you come back?" You shook your head and Jisung felt his heart break at the thought of you never coming back over a small mistake,
"I promised Minho I'd catsit." You giggled at the expression on his face, a little payback for what had happened the night before.
"You'd rather hang out with cats than me?" You shook your head at him, getting up from the bed to go and make lunch for Sooni, Doongi and Dori.

Felix:
"Do you have any idea how idiotic you sound!?" You yelled at Felix as he threw your bag down the stairs, you'd come home from work to find him packing all of your clothes into bags and throwing them down the stairs like this.
"Tell me then! Where did they get the photo?!" The photo. The photo he was talking about was of you and another idol "making out" in the middle of the JYP building.
"Are you actually asking that?! It looked as though it was photoshopped by a child Lix! I would never cheat on you!" You yelled out as another bag was thrown down the stairs hitting into the photo frame you'd gotten him for Christmas. The smashing sound made you both freeze as you rushed down the stairs to go and clean it up, the image was of you and Felix on your four-month anniversary dinner both of you had giant smiles on your faces.
"Get your stuff and get out." He mumbled before slamming the bedroom door behind himself, where he slid down the door bringing his knees into his chest and crying at the thought of you cheating on him.
"Lix I didn't...I-I would never cheat on you!" You yelled up the stairs as you tried to clean up the glass from the floor so he wouldn't hurt himself by coming down later. As you went to pick up the largest shard you cut your hand open a little bit making you hiss out in pain as you pulled your hand away from the glass and into your chest.
"Shit," You mumbled rushing out of the apartment when you realised just how deep you'd cut into your hand with the piece of glass.
(X)
You'd called Hyunjin on your way to the hospital, your Korean wasn't the greatest so the thought of going into a hospital alone seemed like a daunting task.
"What happened to you?" He questioned while you waited together in the waiting room to be seen. It was packed full of people so you didn't think you were going to be seen any time soon.
"I cut it by accident...I was cleaning up broken glass." You whispered to him as you looked at him, he had a baseball cap pulled down so no one would be able to tell who he was unless they sat really close to him.
"I meant with Felix..." He'd probably already told them all what had happened but you just stared down at your hands,
"He thinks him cheating on him with someone else in the company, there's a badly photoshopped photo of it." You mumbled to him looking away from him and over to another person going in to see a doctor before you, Hyunjin raised your hand up so you could keep the cut-up instead of down.
"He seems pretty adamant it's real." He whispered to you as you began to tear up more at the thought of it, Hyunjin sighed as he realised just how upset you were over it.
"He'll realise it's fake...He'll come crawling back." But you didn't want him to come crawling back, you wanted him to trust and believe you.
(X)
Staring down at your phone you debated calling Hyunjin to come and get you from the hospital, he'd spent most of the night there with you but once it got to 3 am he had to go home telling you to call him to come and get you later.
"Hyunjin's phone, how can I help?" Felix's voice flowed through the phone making you smile out of habit he must have picked up without checking the screen name,
"Y/n?" He questioned when you didn't say anything, you bit down on your lip as you thought about it all telling him where you were and what was happening. But you hung up quickly, making your own way to the exit to try and get to a hotel or something somewhere else. Your phone buzzed in your pocket so you looked down to see Felix's name on the screen, every muscle in your body seemed to tense at the thought of answering it but it was mind over matter and you answered.
"Why are you at the hospital?! Hyunjin said he left you there last night? A-Are you okay?!" You could hear the panicked tone in his voice as well as jingling of keys as he tried to get out to his car as quickly as possible.
"I'm fine. Tell Hyunjin I'm ready to leave. I'll get my stuff from the apartment and leave." You answered plainly as you waited outside in the parking lot,
"I'm coming to get you. Don't. Move." You shuddered at the thought of Felix coming to get you,
"I love you Y/n...Please wait there for me." His voice seemed to soften on the last sentence before he hung up and you felt your heart crumble into different pieces.
(X)
When Felix finally arrived on the scene you stared at him through the window,
"What did they do?" He questioned when he noticed your hand was bandaged up,
"Stitches, it's nothing." You lied as you got into the car, acting as though you hadn't cried the entire time they stitched your hand up for you.
"Y/n...I-I-" You shook your head as he tried to speak, there was nothing he could say to you that would make up for what he did and he knew that.
"J-Just take me home Lix...Please?" You looked at him with pleading eyes, hoping you were now welcome back at the apartment instead of being shut out for something you didn't do.
"Movies, snacks and cuddles." He promised you as he began driving out of the parking lot and the direction of your shared apartment.

Seungmin:
You couldn't even remember why you and Seungmin had started fighting in the first place, you never fought so it was jarring to have him come out of nowhere and kick you out of the apartment the both of you shared leaving you to wander alone. The streets were dark and cold as you tried to find another hotel that would take you for the night. If they weren't full none of them would take you without your ID which was back in the apartment you'd been kicked out of.
"Y/n? What's wrong?" Chan asked down the phone as you called him, he was the only one you could think of calling right now since he would be in the studio instead of back at the dorms.
"Can you do me a huge favour? U-Unless you're busy?" You knew you sounded pathetic right now but it was the only way you were going to find somewhere warm to stay tonight.
"Sure, anything...You name it." You sighed to yourself before explaining everything that had happened and that you needed him to get you a hotel room that you'd pay him back for.
(X)
The hotel room was perfect, not too big and not too small which was great since you didn't know how long you were going to be here for.
"What did he say to you?" Chan questioned as he came out of the bathroom, he was doing an "inspection" to make sure it was as nice as the man at the desk said it was.
"I can't even remember...H-He just flipped out over nothing, started screaming at me about how nothing is ever done when he needs it done and then he threw me out." You shuddered thinking back on Seungmin yelling at you, you'd never seen him angry before and it was nerve-wracking to think about.
"It was like he was trying to pick a fight over nothing. It was such a small thing Chan..."
"I'll talk to him...Find out what's bothering him. It doesn't sound like Seungmin at all." Chan reassured you as he made his way out of the hotel room, you stood by the door talking to him.
"I'll bring you some food, just stay put until I can figure out what's going on." You didn't say anything and he walked away, leaving you alone to overthink everything that had happened between you and Seungmin. The fight was over the dinner not being done...You think. It was something so minor that it shouldn't have bubbled over the amount it did.
When Chan went to see Seungmin he found him broken. Crying over you being gone despite him being the one sending you out of the apartment.
"What happened? You were so good together..." Chan stated as he waited for Seungmin to explain his side of the story to him.
(X)
After a week of staying at the hotel, you were getting fed up of eating noodles and take out all of the time. Chan hadn't come by since the first night to bring you food so you just assumed he'd talk to Seungmin and it resulted in him not wanting to speak to you. Running low on food and drinks you knew you had to venture out into the world soon so you grabbed your things and headed out of the door only to come face to chest with someone else.
"S-Sorry I wasn't-" You stopped what you were saying when you saw Seungmin standing there, his eyes bloodshot and bags under them.
"S-Seungmin? What are you doing here?" He pushed you back into your room before sitting you down on the bed,
"You have to listen to me, you have to listen and remember that I am sorry." You frowned as you heard the panicked tone in his voice, you gripped onto his hand trying to reassure him that it was okay but he cut you off.
"Someone exposed us...I was doing my best to keep it under wraps. I-I broke it off, I even found out who took the photos of us but it was too late." You shook your head as you moved away from him,
"What are you talking about?" As you walked over to the hotel room window you looked down to see reporters flooding the parking lot of the hotel waiting to see if they could get a glimpse of what was happening inside.
"S-Seungmin..." You breathed out as you stepped away from the curtain backing up until you hit his chest,
"I know, I know I'm sorry...I know you didn't want to come out as a couple yet b-but we don't really have much of a choice right now." You frowned stepping away from him again,
"W-We aren't a couple. You broke it off." He sighed as you brought it up again.
"I only did it so we wouldn't be exposed but we got exposed anyway...Are you telling me you don't want to come back." All of this was giving you a headache, you stared at him from across the room jumping when something hit your window.
"Seungmin. You broke up with me. You threw me out with nowhere to go. Now you expect me to just jump back into your arms because "you thought it was what was best" ." You used quotation marks as you spoke to him but he took your hands in his own nodding his head.
"I understand if you don't want to come back...I thought I was doing the best thing, I know you were so scared of telling people but it's out. There's nothing we can do...W-We either go out there as a couple or we go out there single. But I don't want you out of my life..." He admitted as he reached up to cup your face in his hands, you snuggled into his touch you'd missed him.
"O-On one condition." You looked up at him,
"Anything..."
"Never yell at me again," You whimpered before hugging into his chest, smiling when he finally wrapped his arms around you.

Jeongin:
One thing you never thought Jeongin would ever do would be to raise his voice at you, start a fight over seemingly nothing but that was just what happened tonight.
"You're being ridiculous." You mumbled as Jeongin continued to ask you to leave the apartment, you'd only moved in together less than two weeks ago and already he was kicking you out like you meant nothing.
"Do I mean nothing to you?" You questioned as you got to the front door, tears were rolling down your cheeks as you stared into the younger boy's eyes. He stared back at you blankly as he nodded his head.
"Nothing but a fling." A stab hit you through the chest as you turned to walk out of the apartment not wanting to talk about it anymore. The door closed loudly behind you and you headed out to the streets to try and find somewhere to stay for the night. There was a small bookshop down the road with a lady who seemed to like you a lot she'd probably let you stay there for a while.
(X)
Your phone kept vibrating on the floor made you wake up and roll over to see what was going on, Jisung's name and photo flashed over the screen and you groaned as you answered it.
"Where are you? You're late! We were supposed to leave an hour ago and Jeongin is being all weird about it, telling us to go without you! He went in the other car, did you guys fight?" You pulled the phone away from your ear to check the date and time and groaned as you remember what was supposed to be happening. A week away with the boys, camping and gaming out in some private camping ground.
"I-I can't come. I have work." You lied as you wiped your eyes, tears already falling as you remembered the fight from the night before. The thought of Jeongin passing you off like you were nothing, saying you were nothing and then acting as though nothing had happened with the boys.
"Bullshit. Where are you?" You heard a car door close and drive off in the background but Jisung was still in the street,
"I'm at the small bookshop near Jeongin's place. Bring food." You mumbled to him as you heard your stomach growl at you.
When Jisung arrived he was carrying bags of food and two drinks in his hands,
"Explain everything." You shook your head at him telling him that there was nothing to explain, it had all been blown out of proportion.
"One minute we were fine, the next he's kicking me out and saying our relationship meant nothing to him." You mumbled as you sipped on the drink he was giving to you, none of it made sense to either of you since Jeongin had strong feelings for you. He'd been the one to ask you out so finishing it all seemed weird.
"Maybe he's stressed. I know it's not an excuse but i-it's a possibility." You shrugged your shoulders at Jisung's comment and then sniffled,
"I don't know but I need to find a place to stay. W-Would you mind putting up with me for a few days while the dorms are empty?" He shook his head promising you that it would be fine with him.
"Just don't tell Innie...I don't want him to know I'm there...It might cause friction between you all." You whispered to him as you got up from the floor.
(X)
You'd been at the dorms for two days and things seemed to be going well, you found a small apartment just outside of the city which was a train ride away from your job. Jisung told you not to go and view it, that Jeongin might clear his mind when he comes back but there was little chance of that happening. The way Jeongin looked at you the other night still sent shivers down your spine, thinking of the way he said it meant nothing to you sent you into a crying mess.
"I brought us some food, I also went to the apartment. I'm going to be a deposit down next time I get some cash-out." You called out to Jisung not realising he was on the phone to someone.
"Yes, it's Y/n. No, why would I care?.... You left them out in the cold with nowhere to go why would I do that?" From the tone of Jisung's voice, you knew it was Jeongin on the other end of the phone so you looked down at the floor.
"Tell him not to worry. I'll be out of his hair before he knows it and he'll never have to think of me again!" You yelled over Jisung who sighed at you before the line went dead.
"Y/n... You're not seriously going to leave right?" Jisung questioned as he looked at you, you unpacked the food onto the table.
"I'm going to shower."

"Fuck of Sungie I'm trying to sleep." You groaned as someone kept shaking your leg to try and wake you up,
"I said fuck off!" You sat up ready to be angry at Jisung but you came face to face with a worried looking Jeongin.
"I-I'm leaving." You mumbled as you got out of his bed, as much as you'd like to say being without him was great it wasn't. You found it hard to sleep without smelling him, or cuddling up beside him.
"Don't." He whispered pulling you back down into the bed beside him, wrapping you up in his arms as he spooned you from behind.
"You kicked me out." You answered with no expression in your voice, you didn't snuggle back into him like you normally would either.
"I-I have no excuses for what I said and did. You shouldn't even want to talk to me right now but being away from you and hearing that you were going to get your own place it-"
"Made you realise how much of an idiot you were?" You teased as you slightly relaxed back into him, feeling at home as soon as you breathed in his scent.
"I wouldn't have used those words but yes." He mumbled against your neck as he left a small kiss on your skin.
After laying there for a while he smiled at you, kissing your cheeks.
"I sort of...Need to go back to the camp ground. I stole the second van and there's no way they'll get home without it." He whispered to you as you turned around to face him,
"C-Can me and Jisung come?" You whispered looking at the watch on his wrist, it was almost 3 am but a long night drive sounded perfect right now.

210104 Weverse Magazine ‘Be’ Comeback Interview - Suga
SUGA “I'm grateful that there are still unvisited areas in the world of music” BTS BE comeback interview 2021.01.04
SUGA has this way of talking passionately with a deadpan look on his face. Full of passion about his life and music.
How is your shoulder? SUGA: Good. I think it’ll get even better once I take off this brace. Apparently, it takes several months for a full recovery, but I'm trying to get better as fast as possible.
How does it feel like to have resolved a problem that has distressed you for long? SUGA: First of all, I'm glad. The pain is one thing, but when my shoulders got worse, I couldn't even raise my arms. But when I heard that this might recur when getting the surgery at a young age, I waited for the right time and had decided to get it done early next year regardless of the COVID-19 situation. I had planned to get the surgery after the year-end stages, but I got it done this year (2020) because my doctors advised me to start preparing early for next year’s promotions and activities.
How does it feel like watching the other members doing promotions? SUGA: I can't say it feels great. I could see the emptiness because we've been together as a group of seven for so long. Not necessarily because I'm not there but because something that should be there is missing?
Is that what made you join the promotion as much as possible? You shot lots of video footage in advance and you even appeared in the Mnet “2020 MAMA” through VR. SUGA: Fake SUGA (Laughs). There’s this 3D studio where we shot it. I shot, scanned, and acted there, but couldn't see the actual result at the studio. I thought a sense of displacement was unavoidable, and that was exactly the case. (Laughs) I acted normal because it would have been aired anyway even if I hadn’t had the surgery, but it seems a lot because it’s aired after the surgery.
You must feel restricted not being able to go on stage. SUGA: The thing is, it's only been a month after I got surgery, but my absence on stage is so apparent. But my doctors keep telling me that I shouldn't be impatient and in fact, many athletes get a resurgery when they return to the field without proper rehabilitation. So I'm working on trying to care less. For the first two weeks after surgery, I felt so frustrated that I tried out new things. I even watched movies I didn't watch.
What movies did you watch? SUGA: I watched ‘Samjin Company English Class’ as it happened to be on IPTV, and now I have ‘Tenet’ on my list. ‘Parasite’ was the last movie I saw at a cinema. As the social distancing measures became stricter, I haven’t been going outside, except going to the hospital. I even eat at home. I'm also watching a lot of TV nowadays. Watching music shows like ‘Sing Again’, ‘Folk Us’, and ‘Show Me The Money 9’ made me think of what I should do in the upcoming days.
Could you elaborate on that? SUGA: A lot of candidates on ‘Sing Again’ are very talented but hadn't had the opportunity, and on ‘Folk Us’, I noticed that many took their own guitars on stage. I started playing the guitar lately and I'm having this urge to broaden my scope of music. And since my interest in the music industry in the U.S. grew, I'm getting prepared, studying English and all.
What fueled your interest? SUGA: In some ways it’s the most commercially developed market. You could lose the industry attention in a flash if it's not feasible. So in this system, you would try everything and that would be an efficient way. I want to do music for a long time, and to this end, I always want to learn more about the global music industry because I want to do music that’s loved not only in Korea, but also in the U.S., Japan and Europe.
Speaking of which, it seems BE was influenced from music of the past rather than today's trends. SUGA: I especially like impromptu music. I love the songs that were made in one take instead of being recorded several times. In this era of crossover genres, the desire to do better in music is growing inside me.
As the genres become more blended, the melody you use must be more important. Does starting to play the guitar affect your composing in any way? SUGA: I always liked using guitar sounds. And I have always liked the Eagles. If you play the guitar, it’s way easier to write songs because you can carry it along wherever you go, pluck on the strings to create melody lines. Keyboards are difficult to carry around. (Laughs) I usually work on my laptop but I had this thought that I definitely needed an instrument. It accelerates my work and improves my understanding of chords.
It makes me think you could intuitively make melodies. SUGA: It’s easier to write a song because you can intuitively make a progression and try many different things. During my work on ‘Eight’, IU had recorded and sent me a song from her phone. At the time I couldn’t play the guitar, so we tried to make sure we’re working on the same page when keeping track of each other's progress. That made me feel the need to learn an instrument.
This is actually before you started playing the guitar, but I found ‘Telepathy’ in BE very interesting. The varying melodic progressions between hooks for each member made me wonder if you wrote the melody intuitively for each part. SUGA: I tried writing a melody for the first time this year (2020), and as I started knowing the fun of music, it opened a lot of new doors for me. So it was kind of easy working on it. I just played a beat and wrote from the beginning until the end. Done. I wrote it in just 30 minutes. The song almost wrote itself. The trends of pop and hip-hop these days cross boundaries between vocals and rap. I like this trend.
When I listen to your singing, it feels like you’re hitting the beats rather than singing along the notes. So I thought perhaps you're singing as if you're rapping. SUGA: When you're rapping, you just think of the rhythm, so it’s like simply putting on a melody to a rhythm. To define which comes first, I think melody adds to it while writing the rap.
In ‘Life Goes On’, the lyrics ‘Thankfully between you and me, nothing’s changed’ are somewhere in between. It's not rap but it’d be mundane to say it's a mere melody. SUGA: There are obviously songs where the rap needs to be highlighted. For example, in ‘Dis-ease’ or ‘Ugh!’, you have to be good at rap. But in songs that should be easy to listen to, impressive raps are not always the way to go. Sometimes, you want smooth transitions without obstacles.
In that sense, the rap flow of ‘Blue & Grey’ was impressive. Rather than a dramatic effect that emphasizes each part, you extended the rap just as much as the slowing beat. SUGA: To be honest, this beat is difficult to rap to. The beginning of the song only has a guitar line, which made it even more difficult. I participated when we wrote lyrics for ‘Blue & Grey’ and I've always wanted to work on a song like this. It was because verse 1 talks about the theme of the song.
It seems you achieved almost everything that you wanted in BE. SUGA: I think it took less than a week to make my part in the album. After having written one or two melodies for ‘Life Goes On’, I wrote a version complete with rap, and liked it that I even worked on a separate arrangement and lyrics. Rather than pondering over the ways that might work, I choose to simply play the music and write.
Many creators are unsure even after they’ve produced good work. How do you get the conviction to release your work? SUGA: Many musicians are unsure whether they should release their music or not. It was the same for me, but the thing is, you’ll never release anything if you nitpick everything. For example, if we release 10 songs, we have a chance to unveil them in concerts or fan events. And sometimes, as we listen to the song, we think, ‘Why does this part that had bothered me no longer bother me?’ Some things might feel awkward at some point, but in time, it no longer feels awkward. Even I forget about it. So it's more efficient to fine tune, looking at the big picture, rather than thinking too much about the details. On top of that, during promotions, I don’t have the time to pick tracks that others have sent for 10 hours. It would be a success for all of us if each of us play and write a melody in their own time and collaborate with others on the details. So the way of songwriting has evolved in many aspects.
What motivated such evolution? SUGA: I think it evolved naturally. I've changed in personality this year (2020), as well as in terms of my interpretation and attitude toward life to the extent that I almost thought I've been rehearsing. How would it feel like if there were no stage to go to or anyone looking out for me? This thought made me realize the value of these things.
In ‘Dis-ease’, you sing ‘I don’t know if it’s the world that's sick’. Was it this lifestyle that changed your thoughts about your work? SUGA: Yes. When I was young, I had embraced the belief that ‘It must be my fault’, but as I got older, I realized that this is not always true. Most of what I had thought was my fault was in fact, not my fault. On the other hand, there are things that I did well and times I had been lucky.
‘I NEED U’ came out during a time when you were still thinking, “It must be me”. After the members put on a stage with ‘I NEED U’ in KBS' ‘Song Festival’, you wrote on Weverse, “It’s the same as five years ago.” How would you compare with back then? (This interview was held on December 19, 2020.) SUGA: We've matured quite a bit. And our stage performances have become more natural. I still like ‘I NEED U’. Just listening to the beat makes me sentimental, and above all, the song came out nicely. So as I was watching this and that when I stumbled across old videos. Watching them made me think that we haven’t changed much.
In what aspect haven't you changed much? SUGA: Before the social distancing measures got stricter, I talked with the photographer for BE, whom I had met four years ago. The photographer was surprised that we hadn’t changed much after all the success, even though he had assumed we’d be very different.
I'm amazed personally. I’ve had the chance to meet the members before your debut, but from your way of talking with members or others, it seems you haven't changed. SUGA: I think it's because we don’t give it a big deal about success. For example, it's incredible to be ranked first on the Billboards, but there’s also this sense of, “Okay, and?”
Even the Grammys? (Laughs) SUGA: When we got nominated for the Grammy Awards, we thought, ‘Is this real?’ (Laughs) Of course we were delighted, but it didn’t make us think, ‘We're singers nominated for the Grammy.’ If you're nominated, you're nominated, and if you get the award, you get the award. You don't get shaken by that. I know it's a great award and would be so grateful if we receive it, but we know that nothing is possible without the tremendous support of our fans. What’s more important is that the fans are more flattered than us when we receive a great award. So everyone's rejoicing, but it’s like, ‘Let's do what we have to do.’ We've been training ourselves to keep finding our places, so no one remains overexcited.
In ‘Fly To My Room’, there are lyrics that say, ‘This room is too small to contain my dream’, and ‘Sometimes this room becomes an emotional trash can, but it embraces me.’ I had this feeling that the room had been such a place and that you were accepting that you have changed. Then the essence must have remained the same. SUGA: It wasn’t easy to accept that we eventually change. But I think it's a good thing that we changed. What we did back then was possible only at that time, and we could change because of the things we had accomplished.
Then, what new things are you dreaming about? SUGA: I'm eager to continue doing music. Since all performances were canceled due to COVID-19, I had a chance to talk to so many musicians in Korea. I talked with legendary singers as well as people who are my contemporaries. Talking with them once again made me realize that I love music so much. Because music is my profession, I can’t imagine myself not doing it. I'm grateful that there are still unvisited areas in the world of music.
What kind of music do you think you’ll be engaged in in the future? SUGA: I was greatly motivated when I saw the concert of Na Hoon-a last Chuseok . I wondered how many musicians would actually be able perform and write music for so long like he has. At that moment, it occurred to be that ‘I want to be like him’. He has passion and desire, and most of all, he is a superstar. A few years ago, I took my parents to a Na Hoon-a concert, and when they watched the performance last Chuseok, they said it was way less impressive to see him perform through the TV. (Laughs)
That must explain your interest in a broader spectrum of music from instruments to composing and musical genres. Because you want to be doing this for a long time. SUGA: My goal is to continue doing music in any shape or form. In that sense, I have this great respect toward Cho Yong-pil. He takes the best sound there is and reinterprets it into his own. I think that’s something I want to emulate and keep changing and evolving so that I can continue doing music for decades to come.
The lyrics ‘Thankfully between you and me nothing’s changed’ must sound more meaningful for the fans because they will be listening to your music for a long time. SUGA: A month and a half in the current times must seem like a lifetime for the fans when we're far apart. I feel the same. But I think that's proof that we worked hard for the past seven years and that the fans have been passionately reaching out to us. I'm striving to get to them as fast as I can, and I'm eager to go on stage. I'm going through this because I want to be better on stage in a better condition, so don't be sad, and please hang in there a little longer.
