I finally got to watch the Black or White MVs!!! Holy fuck they were all so incredible! The animation, the camera work, the choreography, THE MUSIC!!!! All so unbelievably top quality I would’ve been satisfied regardless of who won (I know the game already announced the winner but I won’t mention it here for the sake of spoilers). These MVs were so good I can’t wait until we get longer versions (I’m pretty sure it was said somewhere we’re getting the longer versions in a few months?) Also I don’t recall, was it said which studio did these MVs? The style looks incredibly familiar, it reminds me of the MVs from that one Sega related idol project from a few years back.

Zool was soooooo cool! Yet again, another great song. Zool is incapable of releasing bad songs, I’m telling you! I loved the whole style of their MV.

Idolish7 my beloveds, the energy of their MV made me so nostalgic! I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time and there were so many adorable moments. Plus Riku being a sweetie and thanking everyone at the end!

Trigger delivering that star level fanservice in their MV! They looked so good throughout the song and I enjoyed the camera work in this MV the most!

Revale showing off why they are considered top idols in their MV! I loved how you could feel the years that Yuki and Momo worked together and their relationship throughout the song.

And let me say I think it was such a nice touch that the composer for each group’s song was the same composer who wrote each group’s first song. It really feels like a great way of showing off how far everyone’s come, both the idols and the fandom!

But yeah, what a great little event to end one year and welcome in the new one. I can’t wait to see what next year brings for these idols!

a/n: little blurb inspired by the spell mv. part of the understand series. don't worry though, dino will still his own focus in a longer, normal fic later on! said i wasn't going to write smut but this music video said otherwise

The door to Chan’s room opened so forcefully he thought it was going to put a hole in the wall. He was expecting one of his hyungs to walk through the door and yell at him for leaving dishes in the sink. He really should put those away. But instead, he saw you making your way toward his bed. “Yah noona, what’s your problem?”

You don’t respond, simply glancing toward Hansol’s empty side of the room before pouncing on Chan. His hands go instinctively to your waist as you both fall onto the bed and it practically has you purring. You may be a little riled up from…prior events.

The alpha doesn’t mind the attention though, savoring the way his skin feels against yours. His eyes flick up yours. Finally, he says, “Can I help you?”

You resist the urge to smack the smirk off his face. Smartass baby alphas. You don’t give him the satisfaction of a response. Instead, you bury your head into his neck, teeth nipping at his Adam's apple. He curses Seungkwan for ever telling you that the area in the center of his throat is more sensitive than his scent gland. You’re playing dirty and he knows it. His breathing speeds up and you know the smug look that previously adorned his face is gone.

After a few moments of blissed silence, you finally give Chan some reprieve. As you pull away, his eyes flutter open. “What’s gotten into you noona?”

It’s your turn to smirk. “Spell,” you reply nonchalantly.

The alpha looks incredibly confused. Sometimes you wish you could lend him an extra brain cell. You wait until it hits him. “Are you talking about the spell music video?”

Yes, yes you are. “Mhm. And you looked so…damn…good,” you reply, kissing the tip of his nose between each word.

He giggles in response. “I’m glad you liked it, baby. But the rest of the performance team looked pretty good too, don’t you think?”

You don’t think, you know. “Mm they did. I understand why you guys wouldn’t let me come to the shoot or send me pictures that day. I think I would’ve combusted on the spot.”

Ah, that’s right. Hoshi had insisted that you weren’t allowed to see anything about the music video until it was officially released. Chan himself hadn’t understood why until he was getting styled that day. Yeah, you were going to be a menace once you caught a glimpse of them looking like this.

It had gotten on your nerves though. You usually accompanied the boys to most of their shoots, so when Minghao broke it to you that you weren’t allowed to come, you didn’t understand why. They told you it wasn’t anything personal and that they just wanted it to be a surprise for you. What they forgot however, was that you hate surprises.

You had pestered the performance unit for days, trying to get them to reveal anything. None of them budged. Minghao was closest to giving in, but Hoshi caught him before he could show you any pictures. You lost your mind trying to get the smallest glimpse of the concept, but to no avail. Life went on and you left them alone, so the boys thought you forgot about the ordeal. Which is why Chan was caught off guard. The video had come out less than an hour ago. You clearly still remembered.

And here you were, laying on top of him, blabbering on about how good they looked. Yeah, their plan was definitely falling into place. He looks up at you with the biggest puppy dog eyes you can imagine and softly lets out a, “kiss?”

You roll your eyes, but the eyes work their magic and you give in. He’s savoring the taste of your lips on his when he feels you sit up to straddle him. He doesn’t think anything of it until you give an experimental roll of your hips. Chan can’t help but pant into your mouth. You pull away a bit and he whines, “...y/n.”

You ignore his protests and look right into his eyes. He holds your gaze for a second and you take the opportunity to push your hips down again. This time a lot harder. The alpha almost comes right there and then. His head is thrown back and a soft sigh leaves his lips. You take the opportunity to continue moving yourself against him.

Soon, he’s gasping for air as you grind on him and mouth at his throat again. You’re working him up so nicely and he’s content to sit there and take it, even if his sweatpants end up ruined. But then suddenly, nothing. Your mouth leaves his neck, your hips stop moving, and you’re getting up from the bed.

Chan is confused. He watches as you slink back toward the door and he catches his breath. Eventually, he gathers his thoughts and calls out to you before you have the chance to leave. “Noona! Where are you going?”

He watches an evil grin spread across your face. You completely face him again before simply stating, “you and the rest of the unit knew what you were doing, making me wait. Now it’s your turn to wait.”

The alpha watches as you turn on your heel and walk out the door, heading toward what is likely Hoshi’s room. The thought of warning the others of your little plan crosses his mind, but he quickly shakes it off. Nah, they all deserve it now.

Momo: The lead song "NO DOUBT" is the theme song for the "Mission" movie Yuki’s starring in, so many of you might’ve heard it in commercials or something?

Yuki: We approached the song with a high level of production, including the music video. Please listen to it.

Momo: You should definitely watch it if you haven’t yet! The MV was crafted with the world of "Mission" in mind.

Momo: Yuki's role as a detective is super handsome!

Yuki: My role as a detective is directly carried from the drama so it's not that fresh. Momo's role as a mischievous criminal is probably more refreshing, right?

Momo: Ehehe! As Yuki mentioned, Momo-chan also appears as a mischievous criminal!

Yuki: Because it’s a Re:vale MV, it has to be Momo and I.

I make my way towards the door and open it, trying to move past some of Declan’s WestHam teammates. I try to spot the Chelsea player, until I see him sitting alone, right next to the football net Declan had bought for his house.

I can hear footsteps coming towards my path. I look up only to be met with a sweet expression drawn on Y/N’s face. She flashes me a soft smile, while I just nod my head and keep looking on the ground.

I’m hoping she doesn’t notice the redness in my eyes. I had a sudden outburst once I was outside and all alone. This was an indication of how in love I am with Y/N. On TXT's The Star Seekers, The Butterfly, and the Horror of Transformation

TXT’s new album comes out on Friday the 13th of October, which is like PRIME horror concept release date. So I was thinking horror concept? How could they tie that in with their storyline’s current themes about growing up, change, and transformation. The fall back to earth from the neverland of childhood. And I thought about the butterflies.

Butterflies are most often a symbol of spring. Rebirth. Metamorphosis, Transformation. After the Frost comes the thaw and with it, the caterpillars tucked in their cocoons emerge, glorious, as butterflies.

In the last few music videos but most notably in the sugar rush ride mvs, Butterflies as a symbol have taken center stage. So I thought about the butterflies. And i thought about transformation. And i thought about horror.

Can you imagine *being* the caterpillar, suddenly overcome with the urge to cocoon yourself away, and how it feels to undergo physical and chemical changes you couldn’t understand? Coming out the other side.. Different, changed, unfamiliar.

Like waking up one day with horns on your head.

The Unfamiliar is the basis of horror and So many of our cultural monsters are predicated by the idea of Transformation as horrific. Think of werewolves, vampires, zombies, etc. To change or be changed is deeply disturbing to us.

The first thing we learn about TXT’s universe is a transformation. Yeonjun wakes up with horns on his head, and he feels as though he is a different person, a monster. Changed.

And its a metaphor for growing up, for that sudden first growth spurt, puberty. And its kind of meant to be cute! In a “oh no! I have horns now! This is a metaphor for puberty!!” kind of way. But the way its portrayed, especially in Nap Of a Star is Horrific. He runs away, freaks out, Rips one of his horns from his skull. And its Bloody.

This is how I think TXT’s new album will explore horror. Not necessarily through direct horror imagery (though i do hope there is some of that), but through the inherent horror of growing up, of change, of admitting that you are not who you once were.

In Temptation, the boys realize that Magic Island is all a pretty lie, and now they are going to Freefall back to earth, to reality. And they will be Changed. They’ve finally acknowledged that they have to grow up, they can’t stay in the Chrysallis forever, and they are about to emerge. That is the horror I can’t wait for this new album to explore.
