my inner horse girl is coming out as I say, percahlia au where Percy boards his horse at the stable where Vex works?

Percy's horse is a black arabian named Orthax

Vex doesn't technically have a horse, but everyone at the stable pretty much knows that the Trinket (a brown thoroughbred) is hers

Orthax is a very feisty, he's not well behaved and doesn't like nearly anyone, especially not Percy.

Vex sees Percy around the stable a few times before they meet. She honestly does not like him, he seems like every other rich asshole who doesn't know the first thing about horses and just wants the status of having one.

The first time they meet, Vex pulls him out of the way of Orthax kicking him.

She starts to teach him about horse behavior, how him being scared of Orthax is only freaking out the horse out more.

I mean this is obvious, but Vex rides western (because her father tried to make her do dressage and she hated it) and Percy does dressage.

I wanted to start a new challenge for 2024. This isn’t any existing challenge that I know of, but somewhat similar to a challenge booktuber Emily Fox does.

The problem: I have about 200 books in my Goodreads tbr, many of which have been on the tbr since 2018/9. These are all books that I still want to read, but haven’t taken action to reading anytime soon. I want to do something to start reading from my tbr list more.

Solution: I wrote down approximately 140 books that I want to read, cut out on little strips of paper, folded up, and put into this bowl. Each month I’m going to pick a random book and read it.

For Jan 2024, I picked The Throne of the Five Winds by CS Emmet, which has been on the tbr since 2019.

The challenge is that I have to read whatever book I pick!

We’ll see how this goes 😂 If I make it through the year, I’ll have 12 books read off my goodreads tbr

Im absolutely loving all of the Werewolf AUs (S/O to a-b-o-v-eg-r-o-u-n-dr-a-d-i-s-h and krikeymate) so I want to join the fun. I grew up watching TVD and I can’t get this idea out of my head so you all have to suffer with me. 

Little back story if you don’t know the lore of TVD werewolves then here is a little run down. Im also taking some liberties with it. But for the most part the wolf gene is passed from parent to child. Only when the person who has the gene takes the life of another do they activate their curse.

“Are you okay?” Sam asked as she held her sister as tight as she could. “Mhmmm” Tara released. Sam pulled away to take in her shaking sister when all of a sudden she feels as though she might puke. She as nicely as she can She asks Sydney and Gale to watch Tara while she runs to the restroom. “Maybe clean up while you're at it” Gale yells after her pointing to her hands. 

Sam enters the bathroom finally catching a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Monster is all she can think as she starts to scrub her hands. “I am so proud of you” Sam knows better than to look up. She keeps her head down and continues to clean the blood from herself. “You can ignore me all you want but by the end of next month you’ll know it was for the best.” Sam scoffs “How was any of this for the best?” She starts to look up and she sees Billy beaming right back at her. It sends a chill down her spine as she notices his eye are glowing. That’s when the pain hits. Like there was an explosion inside her chest. As if she had a balloon inside of her her whole life and it finally popped. She gips the sink to steady herself. Under the pressure it begins to crack. “Welcome to the team” Billy growls. Sam, confused, looks up expecting to be met with the cold eyes of her father only to be left stunned by the sight of herself, eyes glowing, and her father nowhere to be seen. 

Shaken she steps back. “Come on Sam get it together” She heads out of the bathroom cleaner then before and weirdly all the pain is gone. Even from her stab wound. She does what Sam does best and ignores it all to check on everyone else. 

A couple days later Tara wakes up in the middle of the night in her hospital bed to whimpering coming from the end if her bed. To her surprise Sam is curled up by her feet fast sleep. She nudges her wake. “Psst Sam, Sam” Sam starts to wake up in a confused daze she looks up at Tara. “If you wanted to sleep on the bed you could have just asked” Tara exclaimed while patting the space next to her. Sam embarrassingly agrees and moves next to Tara.

The day that Tara is getting discharged Sam seems completely on edge. She keeps rubbing her ears as if they are hurting her. Tara adds this to her growing list of interesting behavior her sister has been having since that night. “You okay?” Tara asks Sam. She winces as if Tara spoke too loudly. “Ya just not been sleeping well and I really can’t wait to be anywhere but here” Sam says. Tara knows she’s not lying but it also doesn’t feel like the truth. 

They are staying at their Childhood home for the time being. Of course Christina was home for nearly a day before taking off again. Partly due to the fact that she started to berate Sam about how all of this was her fault and Tara step in telling her how shitty of a mom she was and told her to leave. Im sure if you ask her she would say it was her idea to leave. Non the less Sam bolted to her room as soon as Christina left the house. Locking the door. 

For the next week and a half Sam won’t let Tara come into her room. She won’t let them sleep together any more. It’s as if Sam started to revert back into the girl she was in high school. Pulling away from Tara. But this time Taras not having it. On the day Sam heads back to Modesto to grab her things Tara goes to snoop in Sam's room. She has a voice in the back of her head telling her Sam’s fallen back into drugs again. But she refuses to believe it. She can’t believe it. So she has to find out for herself. Breaking the lock was easier than expected. And upon entering the room the voice no longer thinks Sam’s doing drugs. There are claw marks on the back of the door. Sam’s bed is practically in shambles. Pillows are completely destroyed. The only mirror in Her room is smashed. There’s only one real explanation to her sisters behavior the past three weeks. Tara stands there in disbelief “Oh my god, My sisters a werewolf” She whispers to herself as she reaches for her phone to text the only person who would know what to do. “Mindy come over as soon as you can”

After the end of his life as as mortal human in another reality, the soul of the boy known as Blaze R. Saya attempts to awaken him, believing him to be the perfect key into achieving Ouma's goal in unifying several worlds and eras together to rebirth the universe into one where chaos rules above all else. Yirelta, however, having went to sleep because he loved mortals too much, but didn't want his presence to cause constant strife, senses her attempt to summon him and uses Blaze as his safeguard. This pulls Blaze to the Spring of Chaos with a material body, but he remains asleep, surrounded by an absolute barrier that will not break until he wakes up. Despite not wanting to give up, Saya ceases her attempts of pursuing Yirelta and leaves, as to not linger too long and risk making her location known to Shinra. Eventually, Blaze awakens and is greeted by Yirelta, who greets him as a voice in his head and introduces himself as someone who wishes to help Blaze become familiar with his new self. From deep within the boy’s body, Yirelta opening a portal to the World of Trophies (aka, the world of Super Smash Bros.) and insists Blaze to enter.

Blaze enters the World of Trophies during the Era of Melee, and from this point forward, the journey to a certain destiny begins...

Danny needs a few...odd things. A few dietary and emotional requirements unique to his physiology. Meat is one of them.

But like, raw meat. He doesn't have to eat it often, maybe twice a month, but it does need to be completely raw.

He also needs to eat non-sentient blob ghosts, which are very different from sentient ones. Same amount, maybe twice a month.

He's weak to hot temperatures, where most humans require some sort of positive contact he needs to fight, if he gets too much sunlight his dopamine levels drop, and oddly enough as he got older milk or products with a lot of milk started to affect him like alcohol affects humans.

Now that he's made it to college, hiding most of these things is easy enough.

He chose Gotham, because of minimal sunny days and naturally cold weather. He regularly goes for walks at night, to fill his need for fighting. He says he has a milk allergy, and avoids milk products.

The blobs and the raw meat are a little uh. Those are a little hard.

He's taken to ducking into a bathroom stall to just swallow the blobs whole. But the meat...

He decides to sear the outside and leave the inside entirely raw. Does this detract from the nutrients by cooking them off? Yes. Does it mean he needs to eat raw meat four times a month instead of twice? Yes. Does it mostly hide that he's doing this in front of humans? Kind of.

Until he got a vegan roommate.

Said roommate is far too sharp-eyed for his own good, and now the guy is being weird.

Or: Damian's roommate is a meta who clearly has dietary restrictions outside the norm. It's fine; Damian understands that like animals in the wild, people have different diets. But the cuts of meat Fenton is eating are...subpar. Damian isn't sure how to be...civil, or appear polite, or not be a "snob" if he suggests Fenton allow him to procure farm fresh cuts of steak from cows raised in an open pasture and were well taken care of.
