thank you to the three people that tagged me in the twst author spotlight ^^ irene, siren, and sapphy, thank you. i read what you said about me and i was very touched. i didnt think i would gain so many friends in such a short period of time, and you all deserve to be recognized for your contributions to the twst community!! :D

@tinyletterz, who has a beautiful soul and amazing writing. i've known her since my baby days on quotev writing for a fandom which shall not be named, and it's so such a pleasure being her friend. she writes twst x reader content and has a gorgeous series about flower languages that i think about a lot. thank you remy for helping me get accustomed to tumblr, you're the og!!

@shkrmpp, who was my first mutual that i'd never met before here. thank you for asking about jellyfish and being such a bubbly presence on my dash. shrimpy writes x reader content and creates adorable art!! their hair dye series with the leech twins is super cute and i find myself thinking about teh floyd part in particular very often ^^

@fukashiin, with the prettiest themes and the gorgeous art style. winou CONSISTENTLY writes absolute bangers that make me so giddy. this one in particular is one of my favorites, and her writing style reminds me of a soft summer breeze. she's such a bubbly person and its so fun talking to her, even if we don't talk often. ^^ she's one of the three people that keeps my deuce content afloat.

one could say many things about the beloved @hisui-dreamer!! from the way she adores her friends to teh way she writes, rinna is always soft and sweet. she radiates comfort and is such a soothing person, i feel so safe around her. she writes x reader content and every single piece is its own masterpiece. she's one of my closest friends on here and i wish nothing but the best for her every day.

@merotwst, who has a bucnh of adorable oc content (on @meromessy !!) and writes x readers!! ellie in on haitus right now takinga well deserved break. <3 but she writing is amazing and i am FLOORED whenever i see her art!!! it's literally so gorgeous and i don't understand how she does it. its crazy. how is so much talent in one person.

@siren-serenity is not only a lovely author of x reader content, but also a lovely friend. ^^ siren also has an oc named melody who is so cool!!!! she was the pastor at my wedding and fought TOOTH AND NAIL for that position LMAO love u renren!!! she really writes azul SUPER WELL and im so happy to have met someone so calm and soothing to talk to.

@officialdaydreamer00, aka nutmeg, is a rascal. an absolutely rascal but they're really the best. they have a yuusona with LORE and a bunch of really creative & cute events!! seriously nutmeg, nobody does it like you. if you want to see our favorite twst boys in strawberry dresses or recieve a pair of cute earrings, irene's blog is the place for you!!!

@the-v-lociraptor has STELLAR art. she was one of my firts mutuals on twst tumblr and i was terrified of talking to people but her vibes were very much "i am nice you dont need to be afraid" and sniffling scared me was like "OKAY I CAN TALK TO YOU" LMAO but yeah. she draws people so,,, full. thats the only word i can use to describe it. they just look s soft and alive and its really so amazing. i love her art so much!!

@siphoklansan is another artist!! i think about the art she drew from loona's heart attack with twst character weekly basically. it has been stuck in my brain since i started following her. sippy, its trully beautiful how you mix your culture and your art together. i remember you talking about it when you were drawing fairy gala stuff and it was just stunning. please keep doing what you're doing!! i hope your hiatus proves restful <3

@ceruleancattail is one of THE most creative writers i have ever met on this platform. every time i check out their account theyre talking about a new au or doing something different. they write x reader stuff and ar ethe biggest cater kisser ever (even if they wont admit it hehe!!) their writing is so refreshing, if that makes sense. their butler au is so goofy whaahwwahwah

@leonistic deserves the most underrated writer of the year award. soru writes x reader content and is another super sweet mutual of mien (I KNOW IM SAYING THAT A LOT OKAY.) she writes aroace content and its literally feeds me. seriously. their aroace azul content makes me giggle and kick my feet and GAHHHHH !!! plus they have the patient to do matchups which is crazy and i love them for that ^^

@shinysparklesapphires is an artists that has a lot of cool ocs!! i believe navi was the first one i was introduced to and he's such an icon ^^ sapphy is also really into precure and produces a lot of content for the fandom!! i have yet to finish the precure series she recommended to me but its good so far and laura is the best so true!!

@datboredpencil has THE most STUNNING art. if you want idia x cater content this is DEFINITELY THE BLOG FOR YOU!!! each piece has so much love poured into it and i swear. Something I love about Star Wars is how Luke didn't fix Anakin, he gave him the courage to save himself.

Anakin Skywalker is both a villain (and an abuser. I mean he tortured his own daughter and cut off his son's hand, come on) and a victim, that much is obvious. He is, most importantly, a slave. There has never been a single moment of his life where he wasn't/hasn't felt like he was a slave to something. Watto, the Republic, Palpatine, maybe even himself — you name it. He has never been free.

When Luke goes to the second Death Star, he is going to his father, to the suffering Palpatine is putting Anakin through (he is the main victim of Sidious's abuse and torture, something many people tend to forget). To the suffering Anakin is making himself go through, because, while it was heavily influenced by Palpatine, Anakin's choice to never leave was his own.

He Fell, and that wasn't his fault, but he chose to stay there. Many people — namely Padmé — gave him second chances. Padmé gave Anakin the chance to leave and stay together, but he didn't take it. He did all of it to save her, and it the end, he ends up believing he was the one who killed her (he 'destroys' his goal, because that's what the Dark Side does. You may begin as a noble person looking to save someone, but the Dark Side isn't good, and you will lose track of yourself along the way.)

And now here he is, inside a prison that is seen as his own suit. A prison he was put in, a prison he chose to stay in. By the time of ROTJ, he truly believes that it's over for him. That nothing can save him. That there's no hope. Anakin, the lifelong slave, is resigned to his fate. “It is too late for me, son,” he tells Luke, who willingly came to him wearing shackles.

And Luke, still believing that there is some humanity in Darth Vader's armor, doesn't deter. He doesn't let his father's words stop him. He shows that he's willing to give himself away, to die, just to save him.

Luke Skywalker, son of Padmé and Anakin and the last Jedi Master left, shows a man turned monster that he loves him unconditionally. He shows him that no, it's not too late for him, not now and not ever. And this — his selflessness, his compassion — is what finally gets through Anakin. Someone loves him, and he loves them back. And he would do anything to keep them alive, including killing his own Master and breaking his chains.

It's Luke's own sacrifice that inspires Anakin to give up his life. It's Luke's undying hope that motivates Anakin to finally break his own chains. It's Luke's trust in him that gives Anakin the courage to save himself, and in that single act, he saves the entire galaxy.

The light comes to him in the form of one Luke Skywalker, extending his hand for the last time — the light comes to him when he takes it.

The Prophecy is fulfilled when Anakin kills Palpatine and leaves the dark. The galaxy is saved when a father dies for his son.

for even in the darkest of times, the moons and stars, they always gave you signs.

with each passing night, you learned more, of the art of loving and losing, and what else was in store.

back then, the gentle beat of his heart by your side, comforted you like a river, making calm and serenity collide.

all I loved, I loved alone, the last words written, all unknown, you knew not much about poetry or rhyme, but the words cast a spell that stole your time.

staring out at the endless sea, counting sheep, with tears in your eyes, you finally found some sleep.

stars die softly, he had once said with a sigh, wishing people could do the same, quietly passing by.

but you wished no one would die and no death would ever come near, not on nights like this, neither now nor here.

there's a bunch of other stuff like double meanings and being epic and found family that i wanted to do but in the end i didn't have time for lol and so i had to chase the serotonin for this last post and make a bad joke out of it to motivate me adfKSDJFH but also so serious

the suffering is not the end; there are horrors AND delights; you lose when you give up; not everything is as it seems but also multiple interpretations can coexist; i know this is so sappy and kids cartoons but it's so real hope is everything and can counter the overwhelmingness of despair; choose to be optimistic, to love, to be happy

you're gonna really feel that in DQ3 because of the high stakes but this is also like the very essence of rowan of rin. he's always being surprised when the big heroic models of courage break down, but they've never had to keep moving forward and doing so scared the way he has. norris was overconfident but he's never had to face something like the cold time and the Mountain, but this is rowan's like hundredth rodeo. this is not to dunk on norris at all but just the way that rowan of rin directly and indirectly shows courage and perseverance

anyway this was supposed to be our beloved trio being a family and looking after each other but it turned into post-mask and then i forgot i cant halfass things to save my life this was supposed to be a crappy shitpost but then i was looking up so much cirque du soleil references trying to figure out what they might wear lol. they might not actually be wearing costumes but the other acrobats with jasmine were so why not put her in one too and then how could bess not resist dressing lief up in her son's clothes etc

so lief's outfit is like a preliminary costume before a more grander and brighter one if he became fully integrated into their circle. i keep searching up baby bird and forgetting that im going to see some gangly pink guys lmao

jasmine's acrobat troupe were described as just blue costumes from what i found. and i was like. UH OH. because i was gonna have to work soooooo hard to differentiate from bede's blue bird vibe. i thought i'd go for a lighter blue than the sorta. royal blue i give him usually. and then it got me thinking sky blue. the perform acrobatics up in the air. they reach for the sky. they up there in the sky. sky costume.

George's Relationship with his Father

I have some thoughts about the relationship George McFly has with his dad, Arthur McFly. I'll put it under a cut because it's gonna get long. And I mean long.

Okay, while watching a playthrough of the BTTF game I noticed that George says this:

"Hey, sometimes you gotta go out on a limb for the ones you love, right? I wish MY dad had understood that."

I'm like, "Woah, what? What's his relationship with his father like???" So I head over to the wiki and find THIS:

"Here we see that Arthur is about as wimpy and spineless as George since he gives his son many pathetic reasons not to attend such as college being hard and his grades that he received in school. He even tells George that he will never succeed in life with his current grades and such which could be the primary reason why George becomes a pushover in the original 1985."

Furthermore, he's described to be "a dead ringer for 1955 George in looks, voice, and personality."

Obviously George doesn't (or didn't, since he's implied to be dead) have a very good relationship with his father. But what's really interesting about this is the fact that they're practically the same personality-wise. (They're both pathetic, pushovers, doormats, etc.) Do you think that George sort of resents himself for acting the way he does (or did, in the case of the new timeline)? Because he hurt others the way his dad hurt him, since his actions reflect his father's? God, that's sad to think about.

You would think, in the case of the original 1985, that he would actively try to stray away from being like his father, but obviously, he failed. This is true to real life generational trauma, in which you swear you will never end up like your parents, but you do anyway because the way they treat you and act sticks with you. Yeah, you get the point right?

George's dreams got shot down by his father, and in the original 1985, he didn't have the courage to stand up for himself. Arthur never stood up for him either; and George ends up just like him, albeit more passive... at least he lets Marty do whatever he wants for the most part. Speaking of which, I think Marty serves as an interesting parallel to George's relationship with Arthur, since Marty actually gains a lot of courage and confidence due to the fact that his father is a pushover. George loses more of his sense of self worth because of his dad, since he never believed in or helped him. As a result, he never tries to achieve his dreams and remains unmotivated.

Now let's switch gears to the new 1985. Because of Marty's help, George gains the courage to stand up to his bullies and thus, becomes a more confident person. He gets motivated to do better. I'd like to think that because of this, George also stands up to his dad as well, becoming more successful in the process. I think that he sort of wanted to stick it to his dad, to prove that he can be successful and that he could do anything he set his mind to. This probably pushes George to work harder, which ultimately pays off as seen in the ending of Back to the Future 1. He had achieved his dream as a writer and had a better life overall. However, it seems that George's success hadn't changed his father one bit, as seen in the clip I included above. Even though George ended up happier and wealthier, it didn't mend his relationship with his dad. I don't think Arthur is necessarily a bad person, but he could've definitely been a better father.

This is an almost tragic part of George's character, even in the fixed timeline. It demonstrates how you could be similar, yet so different from your parents. How the way they treat you impacts the way you act, depending on your circumstances and the way you view yourself. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this worthless ramble!!!

I need to scream about this event (Friends Like These) because I truly was just. Not expecting the impact it would have--I don't remember if I read this one in Japanese???

I've only gotten the first two stories so far but I just.

Jeanne and Mozart are of course, as adorable as ever; there's no question about that. But Jeanne dropping this line:

"It galls me to sound so much like le Comte, but I am grateful to God that I met you."

I. [prolonged error 404 sounds]. I'm not sure there are words to convey the simultaneous endless wheezing laughter but also AWWWWWWWW energy that consumed me in milliseconds. Wildly oscillating between "LMFAO ah yes, sentimentality? Disgusting I'll drink to that (blasts Bring Me To Life)" and "BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM DEEP DOWN AND HE LOVES YOU WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH."

I just can't get over how Jeanne says exactly one thing about liking another person and he's like, 'ew dad gave me cooties >:///// how dare he subject me to the mortifying ordeal of hope.' Jeanne I love you. Jeanne I would die for you. Middle schooler with well-meaning stepfather who begrudgingly accepts his kindness and grows for the better, but would rather perish than admit it. Also a sidebar because I just can't help myself, I know I've talked about it before but: Mozart and Jeanne's friendship is so endlessly precious to me????? I love how Mozart is so NO I'M NOT NICE REEEEE (turtles) and Jeanne is like :> bestie. It's so damn cute watching Mozart squirm at being exposed for being sweet and Jeanne just truly grateful someone cares about him?????? How much Jeanne and MC dote on Mozart despite being together, how it only strengthens their friendship? Literally I'm over the moon, nobody touch me I'm tender!!! Jeanne deserves to live peacefully without being a tool of the state/bad actors!!!! Mozart deserves to be loved and happy without being defined by his musical success!!!!!

LIKE. Not to be dramatic but I could watch an entire saga of these two being friends and being adorable. Fresh serotonin every single time. Did I know Jeanne was going to share his food? Absolutely. Did I expect MC to think ahead and pack two lunches? Absolutely not. Was I delighted both times? Beyond what you can imagine!!!!!!!

I'm going to stop here at the risk of repeating myself over and over but wow. Jeanne's capacity to see to the very core of people, for better and worse, and how it lets Mozart be meaningfully seen. Mozart's recognition that Jeanne can mean well to a fault, worried that he might be taken advantage of--and how Jeanne can build trust with someone for the first time without being afraid. Can you hear me wailing and bawling

Naturally, I acquired the Comte and Shakespeare one next. Now, I'm gonna be honest, I saw their names together and went "oh dear God. What am I walking into. Why do I hear boss music????" But I gathered my courage (more like I'm just too feral not to gather info abt Comte, but I digress) and experienced something that left me literally on the floor because I just. Did Not Remotely Expect This Series of Events.

So like. It starts off by being pretty normal and cute and I'm like awwww baby boy (oh he's a little fked up actually) giving gifts to dad. I'm sensing an ulterior motive but right now just let me have this. Also adorable that Comte is struck dumb by it, that's really cute I'm taking notes. And then. I was hit with the veritable ANVIL that was these next few lines:

deep breath Okay. Where to begin.

I LOST IT at the implication that Will was like. Holding back from ending Comte's entire life with mere words. WILL????? WILL P L S??????? (lowkey wanted to hear the roast snickers) Why am I sensing a pattern that Comte loves spicy people??? Love this for me

I also started losing my shit the second MC was mentioned and you could just hear the record scratch/kill bill sirens. Comte really out here like "son say WHAT about MC." I can't get over how he's always so ready to throw down for both MC and Sebas at any moment. Anywho, naturally I come to the conclusion that Will was just trying to one-up Comte to mess with him by giving MC gifts. It was the one thing I did anticipate--and, fool that I was--thought it rendered me safe from what happens next.

The mental image of him chasing Will around the house. The potential implications of him doing this to protect them both (I love you Will but you have. Problems). The HILARIOUS AND DUBIOUS qualifier when he says "dressing up MC is nearly my entire reason for living." Comte I love you more than life itself but that does not make this any more normal. What are you doing my beloved vampire jkhlhalfdhjfg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just the img of him wandering around with sparkly eyes and toting home little trinkets for everyone??????? He's so cute, that's the most grandpa behavior I've ever seen. I was chortling when Will was like "sir you made me sit in that cluttered carriage followed by another carriage full of stuff all the way home IT'S TIME FOR REVENGE (affectionate)."

I also love how Comte is like "Do I have a problem? Maybe. Will that stop me? Only when the sun cataclysmically swallows the earth."

Literally half of the members of the house are like "why are you like this" and he just heeheehoos his way out of it. How does he keep getting away with it. Can you tell I love him. Dazai isn't the only clown in this house honks Comte's nose

i need milevens to realize that mike didnt just randomly gain the ability to say ily to el, there was obviously something that made him change his mind and motivated him enough to spill out the words 😭

like think about it, just minutes before will delivered this grand speech of el needing mike and feeling lost without him, mike was already resigned to el not needing him anymore and ending things between them. now, you could say that his insecurities talked for him and he was just feeling worthless in their relationship, but it’s actually more than that. because remember, when did mike realize that el didn’t need him anymore?

he saw it in her eyes, the last time they talked. that was right when they had their fight about mike not telling el he loved her. so based on these sequence of events, and based on the context from the aftermath of their fight, mike knew that el didn’t need him anymore because...he couldn’t offer her the love that she wanted from him.

going by this logic...wouldn’t all mike have to do is reassure el that he loved her so that she wouldn’t leave him or stop needing him? he literally believes that himself, “maybe if i said that thing, she’d want me there with her.” if his sole problem was his inability to verbalize his feelings and he actually loved her deep inside, then he wouldn’t be feeling like it’s over and finished for them, because atleast he knew the love was still there and he’d just have to gain the courage to spill the words so that he wouldn’t lose her. so why was he feeling so defeated in the van?

because he had no hope that he was gonna be able to say “i love you” to el right at that point.

not long before his monologue, mike had no intentions of ever telling el what she wanted to hear from him. he knew he’d never be able to bring himself to say it to her because it wasn’t actually true. he didn’t love her, atleast not the way she wanted him to. and thanks to this, el realized she didn’t need him. she left on a finished note (from el) that clearly showed how she didn’t want mike to stay by her side or be a support system for her, which just confirmed his suspicions even more for him, which in turn fuelled his insecurities...“i’m no use to her at all, and the fact that i can’t love her that way just gives her even more reason to leave my life for good.”

so what made him suddenly go a complete 180° and be able to tell her he loved her?

surprise, it was all will byers.

all will had to do was pull out the painting and confess his love for him and suddenly mike is overwhelmed by a myriad of emotions at once, catching his breath, gulping hard and smiling the biggest he’s ever had all season. will had the kind of love mike desperately wanted and mike fell completely head over heels for it. but the problem was that he lied and made it all sound like it came from el. although mike wasn’t immediately on board or happy about el “commisioning the painting”, because everytime will brought up her name, his face just fell and he’d start looking at the painting suspiciously. but in the end, it was his undying trust in will that made him buy what will was trying to put out for him. even though he was confused about certain things not adding up, he chose to believe his best friend of 10 years who rarely, if not, ever lied to him. a different version of el was successfully planted in mike’s head, which was really just will byers in disguise. and mike felt this newfound love in his relationship based on the wrong feelings.

(i’ve seen some bylers try to point out that mike probably saw right through will and knew deep down that he was talking about himself, but i just don’t see that being possible, because imo the monologue wouldn’t have happened in the first place if he knew the painting was all from will. he wouldn’t have used it as the basis for his speech to el if he knew those weren’t her feelings. he wouldn’t have even felt motivated enough to attempt to salvage their relationship in the first place! it was will who successfully made mike feel like el still needed him and that there was still a way for him to keep her in his life. romantically, because he thinks there’s no other way to make her stay without losing her.)

and what does will tell mike right before his monologue?

“don’t stop, remember you’re the heart.”

yeah² i know that people are gonna start reasoning out that mike would've told el he loved her even without will encouraging him to speak, but that just makes this line of dialogue even more incriminating. if you admit that will’s words of encouragement wouldn’t have been necessary in a genuine love confession, then why did the duffers decide to write it in anyways?

because it serves a narrative purpose.

it was to make it clear exactly who and what mike felt motivated by. not el, not his actual girlfriend, but will, his gay best friend who’s in love with him, the one who made him the painting that came with all the feelings and words that made mike feel true love for the first time, the painting that will lied about el “commissioning” and bore all the sentiments of mike being the heart and the leader, it all came back to mike right at that moment because will reminded him of it by calling him the heart. that was genuine romantic love coming from will, and mike was about to respond to those feelings while under the impression he could finally give el the kind of love she wanted after being so moved by those feelings, but that wasn’t el at all, just this fabricated image of her.

this is why mike wasn’t really intentionally lying in the monologue. but his words still weren’t true, he didn’t need to be fully conscious of it for him to be inauthentic. because he was trying to return the feelings of a completely nonexistent el, someone that was just born out of will’s speech to him. he loved the el that will described for him, an el that he might’ve loved if she actually felt that way about him, but el doesn’t really need him nor does he make her feel better for being different. and that’s why it wasn’t enough to manage to free el in time to save max and she suffers her biggest loss for the first time. because if love saving the day and freeing people is one of the biggest themes in the show, then why did they decide to ditch it this time and directly followed mike’s declaration of love with death and loss?

there was another common argument from milevens that i wanted to talk about and it’s that he apparently was already gonna say ily to el when they had that conversation in surfer boy pizza. even without considering the lack of romantic build up to that moment and mike, with lifeless and somber eyes, saying “i guess” and “i don’t know” way too much for it to sound romantic, a love confession from mike in that situation would have still happened in the context of will already having given his veiled love confession to him, since that happened after the van scene. meaning he would have still been motivated by will’s words and feelings, and this time, mileven actually would’ve been doomed faster because he had even more opportunity to bring up the painting. what if, right then and there, he was going to thank her for the painting, tell her how much it made him realize his “true” feelings for her, and used it as a way of making it known to her that he finally understood her and why she acted the way she did during their “last talk” (what with will even going into detail about el being mean to him because she was “scared of losing him”)? it would’ve been over for them immediately, and now it would just seem like they had mike interrupted in the middle of talking to delay the inevitable. this is why the moment will lied about the painting and it became the sole basis for the security and love mike felt in their relationship, the downfall of mileven was irrefutable. because the truth will inevitably come out and reward the person behind it all.

Hi...if you don't mind, can I ask something from Jujutsu Kaisen? What do you think are Gojo and Geto's greatest personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic? Sorry if you've answered these questions before.....

oh i haven't answered these before and i would love to, now:

1. Gojo

• Strength : since he always embodies the goofy unserious persona it's so easy for people to overlook how great of a person he is overall. He is very patient, has clear goal and motivation, continues to have trust and hope in people and is infact very caring and kind and emotional. Yes!! Most of his actions are emotionally fuelled from grief or love or both (like swearing to create new generation of strong sorcerers, a world where he'll never fail anyone again, where nobody will be left alone again). He grew so much since hidden inventory and premature death arc, he went from the cocky naive strong boy to intuitive kind protective man. He was under no obligation to take in megumi, to save yuuta, to save yuuji but he did. He knows that the people in power are corrupt and he knows he is capable of wiping them out if he wanted, but he wants to do everything the right way, he is constantly making sure that the kids don't go through the things he did. Knowing that your birth disrupted the balance of the world and now you bear the burden of maintaining it and still having the courage to laugh it off. The term strongest boils down his humane nature so much it makes me sad.

• Weakness : ironically the fact that he is the strongest is his main weakness, he cannot relate to people, it's hard for him to understand why they give up so easily or why something bothers them so much, it's not that he doesn't try to, he does but there is a very big gap between normal sorcerers around him and gojo satoru himself. This gap is also the reason why he is lonely, he craves human intimacy which is why he is continuously trying to bond with others but after geto he never really confined in anyone, he knows he has to be be to solve his own problems and he's not allowed to show vulnerability, being the strongest means you cannot slip up, the weight of world is on your shoulders, you cannot cry, you cannot lose your composure, you cannot be human anymore. (236 proves it even when in panels gojo says "even those who adored me did not understand me" something along the lines). The day gojo satoru feels truly loved and the day he doesn't have to bear so much responsibility alone, he'll break. He is literally that line "if I don't laugh I will cry" (okay that went off tangent but yeah, emotions. are his biggest weakness)

2. Geto

• Strength & Weakness : this is going to sound real twisted but geto's strength is how he pretends to be fine when he is not. this is both his strength and weakness. He is such a complex character actually because his strength are also his weaknesses, both of them go so well together. He has very strong morals and once he is set on them he won't budge, both a blessing and a curse, because that is how he helped gojo become the gojo satoru he is today but at the same time due this strength of his once he stepped into dark he never came back. His love and trust for his friends, there's nothing that will ever beat geto's loyalty towards his friends, again this is his strength right? it's supposed to be a good thing but that is exactly what causes his death too and even in his death he still remained loyal to jujutsu high, infact even after his death he remained loyal to gojo. He is soft hearted towards the innocent, again something that's supposed to be a strength but because of this character trait of his the death of riko, haibara and the incident with nanako and mimiko had such a huge effect on him. He is self reliable to fault, he doesn't want to be a burden to his friends so he never shares what's bothering him. He wants to make this world a better place for his loved ones and he'd do anything for it, even become their enemy. To talk about geto by separating his strength and weaknesses would be doing him injustice, every good thing he had within himself was what caused his doom and every part of his soul had to carry so much grief and remorse. both his strengths and weaknesses stand together on a very blurry line.

what i love about their dynamic so much is trust and loyalty, even when they are both on opposing sides gojo could trust on geto to not kill panda and inumaki and geto knew gojo trusted him so he couldn't kill them. geto wanted to make a world where gojo wouldn't have to carry all the responsibility alone (his other part reason), gojo wanted to create a world where no one will ever feel left alone again. they're both so similar yet so different, both of them took kids under their care and swore to protect them, the difference was one one did not care about anyone else except the people he loved and the other was looking out for everyone especially the people he loved. even after everything that went down between them there was no sign of hate, not even close, they understood each other, they might've not agreed with each other's method but they understood. they were probably the only ones to ever understand each other fully, soul deep. it's right person, right time but ill fate and cruel life.

Every demigod who has ever been at camp half blood has a soft spot for Annabeth Chase; Alabaster is no exception to this.

In fact, his affection and respect for her runs deeper given how much Luke had talked about having her join their ranks. She's quick witted, tactful, righteous, passionate, courageous, and loyal to her family and friends. She is everything they stand for, the prime motivator for all that Luke had done up to this point, and that is what makes it all the more heartbreaking when Ethan stabs her at Williamsburg bridge.

It was never supposed to end this way.

Alabaster's heart skips a beat as a roar that isn't his own echoes across the city.

"GET BACK. NO ONE TOUCHES HER."

A part of Alabaster, in that moment, wants to jinx Percy and capture Annabeth away. They had sons and daughters of Asclepius on their side that could heal her. From the war standpoint, taking her could even provide an ultimatum for the other side to surrender; after all, no matter how infuriating it was to see it himself, Percy loved her. But then again, who doesn't? She was the kind of girl people fought wars for, even though she could damn well do the fighting on her own. But that doesn't matter. What matters to their armies is this: if they could bring an Olympian down to her knees with Annabeth Chase, then a stygian bathed demigod should hardly be an issue.

That's how Luke would think, at least.

But Luke's not here any more.

Alabaster looks to Kronos for instructions, and fights to appear expressionless. He's not supposed to care so much. They had their plans. And if a daughter of Athena wishes to fight on the losing side of the war, that's her choice to make. Let her fight for the mother who damned her to this life. But even then, he searches for the son of Hermes behind those golden eyes, and wonders if he still cares for her.

In the end, they reach a stalemate. Demigods die on both sides of the bridge, Percy speeds off with the son of Apollo, and Alabaster selfishly prays to his mother to spare Annabeth from the crossroads of death so that he could see her alive one more time.

@stygianoaths HOLY SHIT. THIS IS. AMAZINGGGGGGG AHHHHH I LOVE THE IDEA OF AL HAVING A THING FOR ANNABETH!??!?!/ And the way you had it tie into his loyalty to Luke and the TA's cause but also his own sentiments for CHB—chef's kiss. PERFECT. Annabeth and Al have quickly become one of my favorite duos to explore; I think they actually do share a lot in common, but what makes them interesting I guess is the difference of how they deal with the circumstances they've been handed.

Hey MJ. I read your notes about making zero progress and going backwards. I don’t want to offer platitudes or condescend to you because i don’t know what your life is like and what you’re dealing with, but i wanted you to know that from this internet stranger’s perspective, you are brave and strong. Because i look at your blog, and i see someone who is kind and compassionate, who loves passionately and unapologetically, someone who is still hopeful. And to me, that takes courage, that takes emotional strength and resilience, to still see beauty in the darkness, to put yourself out there where others can see, to deliberately choose love and kindness over and over again.

Yours is the only blog i visit regularly because you are witty and talented and unhinged in the best kind of way, yes, but above all because your blog is a safe place for me. Last week i had to put down my 14-year-old cat. It was one of the hardest things i’ve ever had to do. I had a panic attack at work and had to take the rest of the day off. I got home and opened Tumblr and looked at your Dating Sim gif sets. And it just settled something deep inside me. I’m still a mess, but when i need a smile or to escape for a little while, your blog is my go-to. Think of the prettiest pink sky, the softest soft hug, that is what your blog is to me. And all you ever had to do is be your—talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique—self. 💖

[you said that you sometimes find motivation in fannish things but not so much in other things. someone i respect very much once said that to be a fan of / be obsessed with something, that is living with love. those who know love and those who don’t have very different qualities of life. i think it’s such a lovely way to describe hyperfixation: we are living with love]

hi! first of all, my DEEPEST condolences to you. i know how pets can be super important to us, my dog is already old and sometimes i try to prepare myself because i know sooner or later he’ll have to leave me. but i don’t think one can truly be ready for something like that. so i completely understand your struggle and even though it’s so incredibly hard, you’re dealing with it as best as you can and you’re sooo strong for that!! most days i don’t think i live on without my dog. god knows how exactly i’m going to do that akdkskdkks but we gotta live one day at a time and make the most of them. it’s all we really have!

so i’m sending you lots of hugs and positive energy!!

when you mentioned visiting my blog regularly and feeling a little better after seeing my our dating sim gifset, i legit started crying 😭😭😭 (granted, i cried a lot today but this is the first happy tears. so thank you!)

i mean, i do like sharing about my struggles sometimes because i don’t want people to think i’m just preaching toxic positivity and that i never go through tough times when that’s simply not true. i hit rock bottom every day but happiness is made of lil moments and i get to have many of those throughout the day as well, most of them here making and sharing things i love with my mutuals.

it’s just my choice to focus on the good moments instead of the bad ones and i want to be defined by my choices, not my struggles.

but i didn’t really expect to bring that kind of comfort to someone else and it really moves me that i can help you in any way, even if just for one second. losing a loved one is sooooooo hard, i’m happy that i can keep you company and that this can be a safe place for you, even if i didn’t know that. so thank you for telling me about it!!
