Could I request dewdrop Ghoul x reader, where the reader gets jealous?
okay so tbh, I'm doing something different for Sodo in this. I wanted to go off of how he's kinda shy during interviews, so we're getting Soft!Sodo for this request. enjoy
Did he think he was funny? Or did he think he was just that slick and that you wouldn’t notice?
Papa had seen how… friendly you two were getting. It never got out to the rest of the clergy that you two were dating, and the ghouls only knew when they could smell your scents covering each other. But to everyone else, you two were just flirting in passing. He stayed with the ghouls while you stayed with the other siblings, only really interacting in front of everyone during mass or whenever passing in the hall. Papa had decided he didn’t like you two “flirting” during mass and demanded you two never sit together to avoid missing such an important part of the day.
But here you were, fuming behind your boyfriend. One of the sisters was pressing herself against him, a stupid smile on that stupid, pretty face of hers. You saw how his ears twitched – how he didn’t move or say anything when her hand rested itself on his leg and slowly slid up to his upper thigh. You were starting to see red. Why didn’t he move? You had been in a similar position a few months back with one of the grabbier siblings, and you had just simply got up and sat elsewhere. So why wasn’t he doing that?
You were going to wring his neck. And when Copia asked you what happened, you would give him a demonstration and do it again.
You knew you needed to calm down. You didn’t want to make a scene in front of everyone. This was a personal matter and not something you wanted to bring up in front of the entire clergy. But you kept asking yourself why?
“You doin’ okay?” Aether’s sitting next to you, tail tapping against the pew as he leans over to you. “You’re feelin’ kinda uh… upset.”
“Yeah.” You give him a strained smile and he purses his lips. He knows something’s wrong just by that look. Before he can ask, mass comes to an end and you’re the first one up, moving past the siblings that are still seated. You have to leave. You have to get out of here before you decide to explode.
“There you are, sweetheart!” You feel Sodo grab your hand and he gives you such an innocent smile. You don’t realize you’ve actually slapped him until you feel the soft sting on the palm of your hand and you see his head jerked to the side, his skin growing darker as the hand print forms. It feels like everything stops around you, save for the few gasps you hear. His hand slowly comes up, gently touching his cheek as he stares at you in disbelief, his mouth hanging open.
You turned around after that, leaving in a huff, shouldering any sibling that was unfortunate enough to get in your way. You think you hear Sodo call after you but you don’t stop to try and make amends. You can’t because you know you’ll break down and either start crying or screaming. Hell, maybe even both if he says just the right words that would get under your skin.
“Love, slow down!” But this time, it’s not Sodo. Aether is gently holding onto your shoulder when he finally catches up to you, brows upturned in worry. “What’s gotten into you?”
“What do you think?!” you snap, the ghoul shrinking back a bit. “Why don’t you ask that sister who’s gotten into her!”
“Oh…” Aether glances back, his tail moving slowly and hesitantly behind him. You try to remind yourself that it’s not his fault. He was just concerned. “Let’s go somewhere else, yeah? You can tell me everything.”
His tail gently nudges the back of your legs and you move, the two of you leaving morning mass behind. You see the strange looks cast your way, the soft whispers of the siblings around you almost deafening. Aether walks close to you, his voice soft. “It’s okay. Just ignore ‘em.”
You shove the door open, the quintessence ghoul right behind you. It’s a lot quieter in the yard, and you wish you could say the cool breeze calms you down.
“Did you see him?!” you ask, whipping around to look at Aether.
“Sodo?” he clarifies, earning himself an angry nod from you. “Yeah, I did. Lad just didn’t want any problems-”
“Well he got them!” The same rage is coming back as your hands ball into tight fists. “I mean, does he think I’m stupid? Like I wouldn’t see what she was trying to do?” Aether stands there, patiently waiting for your tantrum to be over. “I should’ve known being with him was a bad idea! I knew this was gonna happen!”
“Love, no.” His voice remains soft as he coos at you, reaching out and gently holding your shoulders so you focus on him. “I know what it looked like, believe me; and you have every right to be upset, but it wasn’t at all what it looked like.”
“Oh yeah? Then what was it?” You blink furiously, trying to keep the tears from welling up as your vision starts to blur and your eyes burn. “Would it really have been that hard to just get up and go somewhere else?!”
“That’s just it,” he sighs. “Look, I know Sodo has a sort of… reputation,” He strains the word when he says it. “but that’s not at all who he is normally. Sure, he has a temper problem he needs to work on, and he’s more… open on stage, but he doesn’t really do well in some social situations.”
“That was a social situation alright.” you scoff. You see his lips purse as he exhales a soft sigh through his nose.
“That’s not what I meant. He’s just…” He trails off, lifting his head as he sniffs the air. You follow his gaze when he turns around, seeing Sodo making his way down the stairs.
“Hey, big guy! Clear out for a bit, yeah?” His hands are stuffed in his pockets, tail swaying behind him. Aether gives you one last look, a small smile on his face and you swear that he mouths “he didn’t mean to” just before he leaves. When you turn your attention back to Sodo, you cross your arms over your chest and his ears flatten a bit. “
“I guess you’re still mad?” he asks softly.
“Very.” He plays with his claws, a soft groan reverberating in his throat as his tail loosely wraps itself around his leg.
“What did I even do? Jag förstår inte…”
“How about you ask the sister?” He looks up at you and it’s like a light bulb has flicked on over his head.
“The sister? You mean the one who sat next to me?” He lets out a louder groan, rubbing his face. “She’s been bugging me for so long-”
“So what? You just think it’s okay to let her feel you up like that?” His face gets darker as he blushes.
“What?! No!” He seems offended you would even say such a thing. “Trust me, I didn’t even want to be anywhere near her!”
“Then why not leave?!” The tears are pricking at your eyes again and you turn away so he doesn’t see. “You could’ve gotten up and went anywhere else! Papa would’ve understood!”
“It’s not that easy for me.” You feel him come up behind you, the heat radiating off of his skin giving him away. You finally feel one of his hands rest on your shoulder and you fight yourself to not shrug it off. “Everyone would’ve been looking at me and… I wouldn’t like that.”
“Everyone looks at you on stage.”
“Because I’m a guitarist. It’s my job.” He’s slowly closing in on you. “When I’m off stage, that’s it. It makes me feel… weird whenever people stare at me for no reason. I’m already a ghoul. I feel weird enough around humans.”
You can feel yourself starting to cave. He seemed genuinely upset. Not the normal rage you’re used to seeing when he’s performing, or even when he’s fighting another ghoul. He sounds sad, betrayed and defeated. You let yourself relax, arms falling to your side.
“It just looked… you know. And with how sexual you can be…”
“That’s only for show when I’m on stage.” His arms move to wrap around your waist and he gently tugs you back against his chest. “It’s only to entertain the fans. You know how much Papa loves them being happy.”
“I know,” You let yourself melt against him, feeling him press a soft kiss to your neck. “but all of the things I’ve heard about you from the other siblings-”
“Are just rumors,” he finishes for you. “It’s easy to say something and everyone just thinks it’s true.” His head rests on your shoulder. “You know I’m happy with you. I love you.”
It’s something you two have said more recently, though you were always the one who said it first. Hearing it from him made your heart flutter, but you’re too shocked to respond.
“Come on, say it back.” he urges softly, squeezing your waist. “Come on. I love you.”
“I love you, too.” The hum he lets out is happy as he presses a kiss to your cheek.
“Am I forgiven now?” You turn, cupping his face in your hands and kissing him. He pulls you flush against his body, tail wrapping around you. You let your hand run through his long hair, hearing that content sigh come from him.
“You are.”

Amnesia!Dabi: Twice
Ok, so. This entered my head and will not leave, so. Tell me how likely this seems, I guess.
One of the things I genuinely love about canon MHA is Himiko and Twice’s relationship. How supportive they are of each other, and how they stick together. They are just … weirdly wholesome? Very big brother, little sister? In CC, they won’t have this relationship of course (and I mourn quietly), but seeing it potentially die in Amnesia!Dabi made me sad, so. Anyway.
The Touya Is Alive Thing is public. The Toga’s interview has gone live. U.A. is suing them in court. Magne took off. Things are going … poorly, for the League of Villains. Shig is doing REAL bad right now. Spinner and Kurogiri are doing their best to help him, but they know the only thing that will really help … well. It’s not exactly an OPTION right now (though it doesn’t stop Spinner from imagining shooting AfO in the head, or Kurogiri from wishing he would). And Twice. Twice is doing REAL BAD.
He’s conflicted. Uncertain. All the regular shit. But worse than that … So, Twice’s Quirk. That’s the big gun that the LoV has right now. Or it would be, if Jin could use it properly. And, like, none of the LoV are blaming him, they know this shit is hard for him. They’re cool helping him work his shit out.
AfO is not.
He might be in prison, but, well, we all know that isn’t actually that effective. He manages a contact. A quick one. It’s all it takes.
A week later, Himiko is walking back to the Todoroki house with Fuyumi. They were having a “girls day”, trying to distract from the legal shit show that Himiko is stuck in. They met up with some of Shoto’s classmates, and it wasn’t even as awkward as it could have been. Himiko is feeling … not great, but not bad. She’s optimistic. Maybe we’ll get through this-
There’s commotion. Noise. Natsuo sounds panicked, and his boyfriend doesn’t sound much better. The girls exchange glances, and hurry up to the house … and Himiko can’t breathe.
There’s so much blood.
She’s moving before she really thinks about it. Knife out, poking holes in a new shirt (which one, doesn’t matter), making a makeshift mask. She’s shaking, but her hands are steady as she puts it over Jin’s head. As always, it calms him. Let’s Yosuke and Natsuo get to work on the frankly staggering number of injuries he has (how did he get here? how did he even know where to go? how is he not dead??). Himiko can only sit there, holding his hand, while Fuyumi frantically calls Endeavour, emergency services, Dabi/Toya, SOMEONE. Then she realizes Jin is talking. Mumbling.
“-real, I’m the real one, real one, the real one, I’m real, I’m real-”
He’s scratching at his arms. Twitching. It’s takes Himiko a minute to realize what he’s trying - and failing - to do.
Twice can’t use his Quirk anymore.
It was stolen.
(In a hideout, Spinner stomps out of Jin’s room, angry and hurt. Left without even saying GOODBYE, even Magne told them to their FACES she was going.
Shig’s face crumples when he’s told. Compress tenses. Kurogiri is quiet.
He keeps silent, about The blank spot in his memory. About the fact he made a portal recently, but doesn’t remember how or where.
He can only hope he’s wrong.)
(A certain doctor wonders if their security really IS that bad, because this KEEPS HAPPENING-)

Like on one hand I’m kinda sad that Chaos Children doesn’t have the ‘Himiko sees the LoV as family’ bit. On the other hand, bold of you to assume I won’t work her bonding with the LoV into the plot!

i actually don't play disney magic kingdoms myself, it's just not really my type of game, but i've seen some gameplay of it and read a lot of the little dialogue from it online and it's always seemed really charming and cute! so it really is too bad we might never get to see tarzan characters added to it. i do play disney dreamlight valley on the switch, which is sort of a life sim game like animal crossing but with disney/pixar characters all living together, and a lot more of a story to it with quests you get to do for everyone. it's a lot newer and doesn't have nearly as many characters in it, but a recent update added a jungle biome that would've been perfect for tarzan and jane. i know they'll probably never be added, but if they were then they could live together in the treehouse and we could see how tarzan would feel about living in the valley among so many other humans! there would be so many new things that jane could teach him about.
i recently started collecting lorcana cards after seeing one of rapunzel wearing a green dress, which i found really cool because that was what she had in so much of her concept art! i was also pretty excited to be able to get cards from the emperor's new groove, the great mouse detective, treasure planet, and hercules. i bet they could make some beautiful cards for tarzan... but yeah, that copyright issue is incredibly frustrating. some of my favorite movies may be a bit overlooked or underrepresented by disney, but at least they don't have the legal problem that tarzan has.
i guess with once upon a studio they must've wanted to really go all out to make sure every single walt disney animation studios feature could be included! i'm grateful they did, because it would've been a huge shame to see tarzan not even allowed into the special 100th anniversary short. the new movie "wish" also has a tribute to past WDAS films during the credits, where gold-colored drawings of characters from each movie appeared across the screen in chronological order. strangely they actually left out a handful of movies including the black cauldron, but they did include tarzan!
also, i'm sure you already knew about this haha, but just the other day i came across an article from a few years ago where several of the people who worked on tarzan were interviewed and talked about the production. and i learned for the first time that it was originally planned as a direct-to-video movie which would stick closer to the source material with tarzan going to england. i'm obviously very glad that that didn't happen and we got the movie we have now instead.

That's fair about Magic Kingdoms not being your type of game. I think the only real reason I play it is because it's something I can play casually and more of less keep up with, with out it taking too much time.
What I've seen of Dreamlight Valley looks like so much fun! And that would be amazing to see Tarzan and Jane in that game. Probably will never happen, but we can dream!
Ooo, I haven't seen that Rapunzel one, will have to look it up. I've always loved the concept art. So insane to think there's actually even Treasure Planet art in them!!!
Sadly we may never get Tarzan in Lorcana, but I found this artist during the Disemeber challenge on instagram, and he's actually done art for Lorcana. Looks like it was just the one card, Chief Bogo (which he's posted if you go though his stuff). May not be official, but at least here's a Christmas themed idea of what could be if they included Tarzan

OMG, I never expected any reference to Tarzan in Wish!! I haven't seen it yet (live in a small town, starting to think we may not even get it in our theatre), but now I'm even more excited to see it!
Oh wow, I actually didn't know that! That's so interesting (definitely so grateful they didn't go that route though). Would have been interesting to see how close Disney would get to the source material… don't know if you've ever read the books, but there's a lot of not so family friendly stuff. Also would have been such a waste, given the quality of D2V animation, would have been such a shame to only get Tarzan & Jane quality animation.

and yet in masquerade event. jamil bullies azul. azul buillies him back. they DANCE TOGETHER IN BOTH OF THE RHYTHM GAMES. theyre DUO PARTNERS to azuls ssr. riddle and jamil compliment [more or less LOL] azul's singing performance at the end. i think once or twice riddle and jamil also share a few 😑😑 moments over azul... being azul jdkslfjkdsljf and it's EVERYTHING TO ME it was so validating bc i think those three should hang out forever.

summary: it was enhypen’s first trip in a while and it is filled with healing moments and mostly…chaotic moments.

"food." ivy answers.
"you see, food is my comfort and so anywhere that has food is a healing spot for me."

ENHYPEN were gathered in the meeting room as the staff wanted to discuss the location and activities they could do during their trip. the place was already decided but they just wanted ENHYPEN's opinion.
— "have you guys gone on trip together?"
"no, never without the cameras." jake says.
"never with the seven of us." jungwon adds.
— "so this time, we are going to do a travel content!"
they clapped. ENHYPEN would be travelling to Danyang! it was only 2 hours away from seoul. it had a lot exciting and healing activities there. most importantly, you couldn't miss out on the food there.
"is there a river?" jake asks. the staff nods. jake turns to heeseung and nodded with him.
"ladies and gentlemen, you are going to be witnessing a fishing show. ones where it will take hours."
it cuts to short clip of jake, sunghoon and ni-ki fishing and struggling to get one ssogari. it was caption with "ah, how did ivy predict this?"
"how about we do something classy? wouldn't it be cool to have a party or something? just me?" jay says. "what about wearing a suit?"
"you expect me at a countryside to be wearing a dress?" ivy asks.
"it's a party, someone can wear a vest. noona, can put on a pretty dress. everyone will look dandy."
"why is actually somehow persuading me. let's just do it." ivy says.
— "how did you feel when you heard you were going on a trip?"

"jake looks like he can be of help but he says 'you do it.' and for the people i wish would stay still like ni-ki or sunoo, they always say 'i'll do it." jay points out.

"noona, helps but she doesn't clean up."
"excuse you, what do you mean. i don't clean up? what about last night hmm?? where no one cleaned the sink and placed the dry plates and bowls in the cabinet."
"she has a fair point, jay." jake says. ivy high fives jake. jay huffs.
[D-1, a day before the trip]
each member was given a camera to record themselves packing. heeseung bows slightly to the camera.
"hello, everyone. heeseung is here."
"and ivy!" she yells so they camera could hear her. heeseung chuckles.
"it's been a while, did we ever mention we are roommates now?"
"yeah, a few times. i think engenes already know about it." ivy says.
"01z." heeseung says.
"yeahhh 01z!" ivy says. heeseung looks down at ivy. "heeseung, i'm not short." she deadpans.
"you are 20cm shorter than me."
"then grow shorter."
"no." heeseung sticks out his tongue. ivy pokes his sides and heeseung laughs.
after heeseung talks to the camera about the essentials he thought of bringing, they shut the camera off for a bit to sort a few things.
"my love?" ivy calls out. heeseung hums.
"are you going to bring that?" she points to the pillow.
"mhm."
"can i...steal?" heeseung leans down to peck her cheeks.
"we can sleep in one room together. how about cuddle me instead?" heeseung whispers. ivy blushes and pushes him away slightly.
"too close." ivy shyly says. heeseung laughs.
"look at my girl blushing." he pecks her lips. "let's continue packing hmm?"
"okay."
ENHYPEN walks over to the train station where they would be travelling to Danyang by well...the train!
"woah. it's so bright." ivy says.
"noona, you are already wearing glasses." jungwon points out.
"i'm not the only one though. mr.fashionista over there also brought one. he copied me." ivy says. jay cocks his brow.
"come here, noona." he gestures for her but she giggles and hids behind ni-ki.
"jay hyung, isn't that it?" sunoo points to the ticketing machine.
they struggled a little to get the tickets but it was solved quickly.
"so is jay hyung the captain? since he has the card."
"i have a card too." everyone looks at sunghoon, "my personal card."
"in that case, you don't mind buying some cold tea, right?" ivy bashes her eyelashes. sunghoon playfully scoffs.
"jay has the card, go ask him to buy it."
"just say you don't want to treat me. i'm fine if you don't buy me anything jagi-" ivy pauses. their eyes widened.

ignoring what happened, ENHYPEN had about 20 minutes till the train left so they went to go buy some food and snacks for the 3 days they were staying at Danyang. they went to split up.
jungwon, sunoo, jay and ivy were on snack duty while ni-ki, sunghoon, jake and heeseung were on drink duty. they met up with each other and realised that they should probably go catch the train.
on the train, ivy settles with heeseung, jake and sunghoon on one side. they started cracking jokes even when the train hasn't even started yet.
"i love taking the train!" jungwon pretends to fall asleep. ivy giggles.
— staff: "we gave you a credit card before, it has the amount you'll be using for the three days."
their eyes widened.
"wait, hold on. there was a limit?" jungwon says.
"we shouldn't have spent too much!"
"but 1 million won for 3 days is actually okay."
"alright but first let's take the card from jongseong." heeseung says. jay cheekily holds onto his bag.
"don't give ivy noona too, remember when she bought a lot of clothes but ended up giving it to someone else instead because she had too much clothes?" ni-ki says.
"yah, ni-ki. how dare you, i trusted you." ivy pouts.
as they had to cook for themselves for the next 3 days, jay had to plan out what to cook for them. they had to buy things from the market just before they went to their accommodation. they discussed about it, even planned to get discounts by acting cute to the aunties and uncles there.
that was before chaos started, they were happily screaming and singing along to the song. heeseung, sunghoon and jay were the most energetic and entertaining everyone. ivy was laughing a lot. the train ride was filled with so much fun. they started to get tired and so the energy dies down. ivy lays her head on sunghoon's shoulder.
"sorry about before, hoon." ivy says. sunghoon pecks her forehead.
"it's fine, princess. you forgot the cameras were rolling and we can always say you like to call me 'jagi' as a joke." sunghoon says. jake snorts.
"so out of all of us, sunghoon gets to be called jagi on national television." jake says.
"why? would you like me to accidentally call you jagi, jaeyun?"
"how about call me, love, instead?" jake smirks.
"can you two not flirt in front of the kids?" jay says.
"what do you mean kids, hyung? we are dating noona too, okay." sunoo pouts.
ENHYPEN made it to Danyang, each of them got into the various taxis and were on their way to the market. at the market, everyone splits up.
heeseung, jake, sunghoon and ni-ki were one team.
ivy, jay, sunoo and jungwon were another team.
they looked around the market and bought some more snacks and food they had to try at the market. jungwon feeds ivy one sample piece. she happily eats it. she hums in content.
"both of them are good." ivy says.
after trying some food, they went to finally do their grocery shopping. the stall owners were super sweet, they even gave discounts. as for jungwon, he just disappeared and joined the other team. they were exploring the market area before entering the supermarket to buy more things.
"you are really pretty." the stall owner says.
"halmeoni (grandmother), i'm not that pretty." ivy says. the stall owner chuckles.
"you look like you're around my grandson's age. if you were my grandaughter-in-law, i would be so happy." ivy giggles.
"halmeoni, you are too sweet. we have to continue with grocery shopping now. i hope to see you again if i ever come back here again." ivy smiles. the stall owner smiles and waves.
"seems like you are got a free invitation to being someone grandson's wife."
"pfft if i retire and i'm still single by then i'll maybe take up that offer."
ENHYPEN eventually met up and went straight their accommodation. ivy looks around the area in shock. she gasps.
"JAEYUN!! THERE IS A RIVER!!" ivy shouts. jake goes over to ivy.
"woah, we can fish. ni-ki, sunghoon! there is a huge river, we have to go there now!" jake yells for ni-ki and sunghoon.
heeseung and jungwon went to play with the switch. jay started with cooking the curry that he promised jungwon. sunoo went to organise everything.
while ivy...
she laid one of the beds, alone and far from the others. she eventually falls asleep on accident. which is surprising since this was a new place and she doesn't normally fall asleep easily in new places. maybe it was the comforting and healing aspect to this place that made ivy fall asleep.

Watched Mark and Jisung's Mix and Max Recording (omg it's 48 minutes?)

AI covers are kind of freaky though. I haven't heard to any covers of songs, but I have heard people putting together AI clips to make it sound like someone is saying something and...yeah that is a little creepy that we can just fabricate stuff like that.
Jisung's just explaining his AI concept and Mark's just pointing his camcorder at Jisung thinking about how cute he looks being passionate about his idea.

Jisung and Mark were revealed as SM Rookies at the same time. It's always a bit stark remembering that Jisung basically did things at the same pace as the rest of Baby Shinki, except he was 2-3 years younger than them, and it really puts into perspective how YOUNG he started.
Jisung mentioned this before, that he was so shy when he was a kid and that's why he was encouraged to try dancing.

We see it a lot in the behind the scenes videos for music recording. He's always asking to re-record or to try doing things in another way for a better outcome.

Okay this might be a little too spicy to ask, so feel free to ignore, but do you have any THG fanfic/fandom characterization/headcanon pet peeves? Aside from I assume one-note Careers. Mine is the way people erase the mentorship bond! I see so much Finnick stuff especially where he tells the writer’s chosen lover for him that they’re the “only one who sees the real him,” and I’m always like, hello, MAGS???
oh hard agree, plus I'm not a super fan of that even without the mentor thing. like don't get me wrong I love a good, codependent fictional relationship that would be absolutely destructive in real life (delicious) but everyone should have more than one person. there can be MULTIPLE codependent relationships! codependent fractal! a weird group of people with a weird shared experience that nobody else can hope to understand. FEED ME THAT LIKE SKITTLES.

on a similar note I also used to get tired of how everyone made all the mentors sexually and/or romantically involved with their victors (like Beetee/Wiress, Brutus/Enobaria or Finnick/Annie where he's her mentor, whoever.) like no shade to people who read or write it BUT I feel like there was a weird period where no one could envision ANY close relationship without writing it into a pairing. Maybe it's my aroace coming to the surface but I got a bit grumpy. So I wrote an endless permutation of complicated, intense relationships with absolutely no sex or romance aspect. what are ya gonna do about it!
one of my less controversial peeves is "peeta starts out dating glimmer who is vapid and promiscuous and cheats on him so he can get together with katniss who is perfect" like an early taylor swift song. it was E V E R Y W H E R E for a while. if there was a modern AU, Peeta was dating Mean Bitch Glimmer and she'd get her comeuppance around the end of Act I. why. please. one of Katniss' actual, literal, canon character arcs is realizing Glimmer was a person who was forced to act the way she was (her interview dress chosen by her adult stylist was SEE-THROUGH) and she died, alone, for an audience who immediately forgot she existed. and you're gonna "not like other girls" her for your wish-fulfillment barista AU. cool.
on the other end of the scale -- and this is a very personal trigger, so I don't blame anyone for liking it -- the District 5 repro girls / thin girls fanon that was rampant in 2012-2014 fanfic. a bunch of people incorporated it into their stuff but it is such a violent, visceral nope for me that if a story uses it I close the tab immediately.
characterization-wise, there is a fic i still see floating around where rue makes me scream. listen. rue is the oldest of 6 kids AND her father died when she was even younger than katniss. she has been working full time to support her family in a job where you are literally murdered for mistakes since she was nine years old. rue is calculating and intelligent, she tells katniss that peeta is "okay" when she knows he's bleeding to death because if katniss realizes he's dying she'll leave. PLEASE. respect the hustle, the girl is not naive.
ok you did say spicy so i will give you ONE (1) hot take. it drives me bananas when fanfic uses Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell. they first appeared on wattpad in 2010, when fandom tossed a few names around for a while and hadley and kentwell were the ones that stuck. but IT'S NOT THEIR REAL LAST NAMES STOP ADDING THEM TO THE WIKIS AND TELLING PEOPLE IT'S CANON AAAAAAAAA.
there's my one petty hunger games post, lol. i am pretty live and let live, generally if I don't like something I scroll past or filter it out. the annoyance happens when it's stuff like, trying to read fic about Careers and the first page of results is just them background tagged in an ensemble fic about the main characters -- but that's a minor character in juggernaut fandom problem, that's EVERYWHERE. i do the "search within results summary: name" trick to solve that

•When and what was your first exposure to Elvis Presley?
Not sure of the when beyond probably in the car with my parents. They were born in '53 and '57 so they got like movie Elvis and Vegas Elvis. But my mom was low key in love with 70s Elvis to where if he had lived I have no doubt my mother would have decided being his groupie would have been a fabulous idea.
•And what was your first impression?
Besides thinking my mom was really weird for doing the lip thing and the thank you very much stuff. I thought he was good, a little too old school but I was young so. 🤷🏻♀️
•Lace shirts or jumpsuits?
Do I have to choose? Ugh, jumpsuits because I would like to match those and I live for jumpsuits on me. But the lace shirts are a very close second place.
•You can steal one of Elvis/Austin’s outfits, what’s it going to be?
Elvis's outfit? Oh that's easy, the black matador jumpsuit. Though I'll say the 68 leather one is a close second.

•C’mon, we know you’ve been watching/reading old interviews and random footage of the man, so what’s your favorite random Elvis quote?
I have a lot of them but two immediately come to mind. One is when he did the messed up lyric version of Are You Lonesome Tonight? And he was like twelve years down the drain and it was just funny to me, always will be. Beyond that, there's another quote where he talks about how Priscilla and him were post divorce and he talks about getting her a mink coat and her getting him a white Rolls Royce out of the kindness of her heart and it's just. It delights me because if I remember right it was during a show and Lisa was there and he told her to pull down her jumper and his girlfriend at the time was there and it was just- for all Elvis gets vilified ( for valid reasons to a point ) it's stuff like that- that just are really sweet and remind me he really was a messed up guy but he was pretty cool too.
An Honorary mention for this: "Now, Jesus, he was getting it on with Mary, the woman at the well, you know, Mary Magdalene. It ain’t in the Bible but it’s true. She got stoned, but Jesus took care of her and they traveled around a lot together." as well. My lapsed Catholic heart, she sings at this.

Yes and no. They're nice lips I will not deny and they are distracting. But I have remarkably similar lips naturally so yes they were distracting but it was also like looking at a poofed up version of my own lips.
•What’s an aspect of Elvis’ character you wish more people appreciated?
His generosity, actually. Like yeah he's humorous as all get out and secretly a little kid when it comes to the humor too sometimes but the man was an exceedingly generous person when he wanted to be ( stories of him once stranding a friend in Dallas among other things ) and it needs to be underlined sometimes I think.
•You meet Col. Tom Parker for the first time, forewarned with the knowledge of what a scumbag he is, what do you do?: A. nothing, you’re a coward who doesn’t care about abused golden-hearted men B. you give the Colonel a stern telling off C. you encourage Elvis to leave him and break the contract E. you slap a legal document against that fat suit and declare “Mrs. Claus is bringing you a lawsuit” F. you waste no time with formalities, it’s a letter opener to the juggler for that piece of trash
C. Though one is aware that if Elvis does not want to do something you cannot make him do it. So baring that maybe E as well?
•What was your favorite aspect/scene from the Elvis 2022 movie?
So. I really love the entire movie as a whole, but I need to articulate just how much I love how Baz did the original Fly Away part pre-Hayride and then there is a call back to it in the Vegas rehearsal which obviously, it's That's Alright Mama's beginnings, but it's not just the flashback, no it's head tilt and fit of "I have been possessed by the Holy Ghost of music" and I love that bit so damn much because it underlines just how Elvis's music speaks to people even if it doesn't initially it grows on you until you are possessed by the music yourself. It's like how @sassy-ahsoka-tano just becomes Polk Salad Annie and how we can all probably do the HA HA HA from the Vegas Rehearsal and how tbh, y'all don't need to know how I get singing Moody Blue or Treat Me Nice. It's just. I have a lot of feelings.
•You can choose only one song or piece of media to convince someone to become an Elvis fan, what is it going to be?
The movie, tbh. Like generally speaking anything else I can argue people would think is a one off or in the case of books propaganda, but the movie is very well done. Also, the 68 special does make a good case as well tbh.

This is where I make the Mean Girls joke of the limit does not exist. Which is hilarious because just having my daughter wrecked my hip. In actuality because I am older, probably like 5? I'm mortified to admit this. Just pretend I gave the normal answer of like 2 or something like everyone else.

Graceland or the private jet. Look, I love Club Handy, I do, but I'm not a club person. So basically being with him alone in a place I feel comfortable in? Yeah, that's where I'll be.

Honestly? 68 to about 76. I know, it's Vegas and we hate the International and all but he came into his own there, I think. Also you know, essentially lost his life there but still. It's 68 to 76. Though I will give an honorary mention to 50s Elvis. ( And yes, I know I like 60s Elvis physically, let's be honest that's not anyone's peak Elvis. )

I. Since I found he was going to play Elvis. Look. Y'all need to understand that he is 8 months older than me and I fancied myself too cool for his Disney shows. Like I was aware of him and I didn't think he was a bad actor and had I have known that hot piece of man candy was in Carrie Diaries I would have watched it, because I danced around it. But an actual fan fan? Not until I found out, and I quote myself, "Oh, Vanessa Hudgens' boyfriend is playing Elvis."

•If you could spare him one tragedy what would it be?
His mom dying when he was 23. I'm a mama's girl, I gotta give the man a few more years with his mama. I'd do the same for my own mom because she lost her mom at 17. If you have a close relationship with your mama it hurts losing her.
•Is there a modern artist that sorta scratches for you the itch that Elvis’ absence leaves?
Maybe Queen but that's not necessarily modern. Truthfully, I don't think I have one. So, I'll just go for Elvis, thanks.
•How did you react at the end of the movie when In the Ghetto started to play A. I got up and fixed a snack because I have no soul, B. I left feeling alarmingly horny, C. I was impressed but didn’t realize how affected I was until days later when it was still with me D. I cried buckets they had to bring in a mop E. I may have appeared emotionless but in fact my soul was leaving my body and I don’t think it’s returned quite yet
E, with the caveat that I am not a fan of In the Ghetto as a song. It's a fine song, but I don't really like it? Yeah my soul has now been given to Elvis and that's that apparently I guess.

Obviously, I would have loved a whole season of Rina single and slowly getting together BUT I get why they did it, has your opinion changed on the seasons after reading the interviews? I think 7 seasons is impossible but Tim wishfully hopes season 4 is not the last.but I still feel is a 50/50 so in conclusion, I get they did thinking this (s3) or the next would be the last season and if it's only 8 episodes MY even less I would expect from them a slow-burn
I think there was a tiny bit of concern for sure, that the kiss might have been a little soon. I think a lot of we’re expecting and hoping for rina to get together mid s4, that Tim completely subverted our expectations. But in a way, it’s cool because I think Josh and Sofia knew that which is why they kept telling us to expect the unexpected. They knew that so many of us didn’t believe in a s3 get together for them. After reading Tim’s interviews, however, its become a lot clearer and more comforting as to why he did it. It had nothing to do with him being worried about s4 potentially being the last season and trying to rush an endgame (which is why i think so many people were nervous about the kiss). It had everything to do with that rina was always planned. That he knew we had been so patient waiting for them to get together that this was, as he put it, a “small win for the ricky and gina fans”.
As far as season count, who is to say. I definitely agree that tim is planning on at LEAST 5 seasons and I’m assuming with the traction and attention on twitter it is easy for him to feel like he might get that. The only thing I can say is, he doesn’t get the final say. Ratings and views do. Numbers MATTER to disney. I’ve watched shows get cancelled time and time again (GREAT shows) because they weren’t getting enough views. PLEASE if you have Disney+ or access to it, watch HSMTMTS on there so it goes toward viewer count. As insane as the Rina’s are, the one really positive thing we’re doing for the show is watching at ungodly hours. I genuinely believe tv execs see that and go “wow, people are literally waiting all hours of the night just for a new episode; it must be doing something right” (in fact, I actually go to bed and set an alarm to wake me up for the episode because I’m feral). So KEEP WATCHING ON THE PLATFORM. I genuinely think we could at least a season or two more after s4 if we keep viewership up where disney can see it. That’s where the numbers count for them because that’s what makes them money.
8 episodes was very few and I think some of the plots could have been fleshed out more, but like I’ve said before, the HUGE positive that comes from 8 eps is knowing that tim literally hand picked every little thing that went in the episode. He cut the fluff so it was precisely what it needed to be. I think that’s why this season has been so well received. It wasn’t JUST rina, but because the storylines and callbacks and everything else were genuinely GOOD. It really felt like love and attention went into everything that’s been done and when you can feel that passion in a show, it makes the world of a difference. Viewers and creators alike can sense that, so it’s been a big win for the show that the passion is there. I did like the 50 minute episode comparatively to the 20-30 minutes. I think that felt like a sufficient amount of time. I wish the show was a few episodes for 50 minutes or a couple more episodes for 30 a piece. I think that would make a difference in some of the storylines feeling a little short handed, but I really do think Tim is doing the best that he can and it panned out pretty well for our rina slowburn :)

Hey, it's meeeeeeee. So yeah, I totally understand what you're saying and I agree. Like these boys actually chose each other to become a part of their lives and they've always been more than colleagues from the very first day and that's the best thing. I guess if they weren't a band, they could've made vlogs and all and it'd still be that full of life and amazing haha.
But I've a question here, does this fandom has the ships? I meant of course there is, maybe, and if yes, is there any one like superior ship? I guess all ships relating to Luke and Mikey might be dead now? And I'm not talking about bromance ships haha. I just want to know the fd better.

No ur right tho they could be unironically very popular on YouTube if they had made vlogs or smth like… we all know they’re fucking hilarious when they’re together. It’s practically inevitable. But yes your question. This fandom does have ships! There are actually a bunch of fics on ao3 and i for one am one of the many contributors to it (see my pinned post for example. Or my masterlist). I’m not sure where your Luke/Michael assumption is coming from but quite the opposite actually! statistics wise it’s at the top of the ships! From what i’ve heard the ao3 fandom used to be more active, but there are definitely still a lot and definitely very good writers around now. The circle might be smaller, but the quality holds up. Now idk if you know about this, but you mentioned bromance, and that brings me to a different topic actually, bc 5sos is the first fandom i’m in that has, drum roll, bromance fics! And quite a few actually, even ot4 has been a bit more popular lately. There are some extremely cute ones inspired by the show or just simple cute every day situations, and they’re all worth a read i think. 5sos really are such close friends people said ‘yk what. Lemme just write abt that real quick’ and i think… that’s pretty cool.
One thing about this fandom is also — at least in this corner that i’m in (which is also restricted to slash) — that it’s very aware of the fact that slash is rpf. They’re real people. I know a lot of writers who sometimes struggle with that knowledge, bc many have read or heard that rpf is bad or wrong or whatever, but i really think that most writers here have found a good way to handle it, and know how to write them without… stripping them off their humanity and the fact that they’re actual people who deserve respect. It’s a nice thing to know that and be assured, bc i think it is indeed very important to remember that, especially in fic where you could theoretically write whatever. To me, really, it’s not even like i’m actively writing about them, to be honest. How could I really write about them? I don’t know them. Their fic versions to me are characters, i’m making up a character that is based on their irl person, but that’s… where i draw the line somehow. Fic is about creativity and writing stories and characters, and yes they are greatly based on the actual person, but you can never know if what you write what they’re doing is something they would actually do. Another thing in this aspect is also that 5sos straight up… seem to accept it exists? Idk where or in which interview it was. But they’ve never explicitly said that they think it’s dumb or weird or that fans should stop it. If they did say that, i would stop in a heartbeat. But they seem to be okay with it, and they don’t interact with it, so it’s not bothering them, and it’s very much only here on tumblr/ao3, so it’s like… who cares? And there really are some fucking amazing fics out there, no matter if it’s a hundred or two hundred thousand words. There are so many beautiful fics that handle the most interesting stories and issues and honestly, some of them are just straight up better than some books i’ve read. They make you cry and laugh and wish you could feel that feeling every day. If it wasn’t obvious yet, i love fic. So. Did this even answer your question i don’t know i’m sorry sojdlfjsjdl

An Interview with Dead Possum Girlfriend
On May 9, 2022, I had the pleasure of interviewing Patrick Glynn of the up-and-coming folk punk band, Dead Possum Girlfriend! After performing alongside them at Unity Fest, a community gathering dedicated to celebrating the unionization of local Starbucks stores, I knew that I had to have them come on the show. The band is self-described as sometimes folk, sometimes punk, and always fun, singing songs from the river.
Isabella Stevens: Patrick, thanks so much for being here with me today.
Patrick Glynn: Thanks for having me!
IS: I’m curious to know, how did your band get together, and how did you all start making music?
PG: Well, Dead Possum Girlfriend really started out as a pandemic project. It was just me, sitting on my porch with an acoustic guitar, playing the same improv songs multiple times. Then, I started writing some of my own music, and I was able to find the two other members that make up, I would say, the “core” of the band: Patrick, and my other friend, Hayden, who actually works at Starbucks with my wife. We were able to work together, and they added their own specialty flairs to everything, helping to evolve our music into what you hear today.
IS: That’s so awesome! Branching off of that, is there a story behind your band name?
PG: Not really, I wish that I could have a really funny story. But, I think, I was actually just singing a funny song about taxidermy and possums, and I just said that and thought, “Man, this is a great band name!” We just kind of stuck with it.
IS: Sometimes, that’s how the best band names form.
PG: Right!
IS: On another note, how did you become involved with the Richmond music scene and what has your experience there been like?
PG: So, for this band, the performance at The National was our first real show, because this project was really born of the pandemic. We really haven’t dived into the local music scene really yet. But we’re hoping to, and we have a couple of shows lined up in the Richmond area, so, we’ll see how that goes.
IS: Great, that’s so exciting! Any shows that you want to shout out?
PG: Not quite yet, they’re all still in the works, but hopefully soon!
IS: Awesome. I’m curious, what does your creative process look like, and how have you gone about writing your songs so far?
PG: So, the band is kind of in a transitional area. I had, I’d say, 5-7 songs by myself before I even had the other two members of the project. So right now, we’ve been kind of focusing on those songs. Since then, our writing process has kind of been... well, our guitar player, Hayden, is just a killer guitar player. And Patrick is a genius with lyrics as well as percussion, and I can keep a few tunes in my head occasionally, especially with some lyrics, right? So, we kind of just honestly jam and find a rhythm the we like and play around with it. I’m mostly, you know, our “studio man.” So once we jam, I’ll be looking back at sounds and stuff that we have previously created, like chord progressions, and I’ll record those and start building songs from there.
IS: Yeah! Kind of branching off of that, what’s the recording process look like and how do you go about producing your songs?
PG: So... my process is a little, well extremely, tedious. I actually do it all on an iPad, with just like two mics, a lot of time and effort, and a lot of EQ-ing and mixing. But, I usually just start with an acoustic guitar, and I just strum the chord progression and start adding layers, layers, layers... and next thing you know, you have a song. The only problem with me is like... remember when you would make a painting and people would say “no negative spaces?” Well, the second I hear a negative space in the music, I’m like, “Oh, there should be a tambourine right here,” or something, and next thing you know, you have like 83 tracks. I can’t stand a moment of silence in any of my songs.
IS: It’s kind of nice though; I like songs with a lot of layers like that. It’s really cool to hear!
PG: Yeah, definitely.
IS: Is there any common theme or idea in your music? Or, anything you’re hoping to write about with this new band?
PG: Mostly, my stuff, especially what I write, is just about my life in Richmond. I like to think of Dead Possum Girlfriend as, like, the folk band of Richmond. It kind of has songs about how you would feel about Richmond, places that people have been to... like, my one song, Bitsy’s Rock, is about the journey when you’re walking around the river, all the crazy things you see that I think you only get in a Richmond river. It’s kind of like, music for Richmonders, about Richmonders.
IS: Yeah, I love that! Is there any specific reason why you picked folk punk as a genre to convey that?
PG: Punk played a huge part of my entire life, I’ve played in mostly punk bands for most of my life. And folk, I think, is music for people especially in the working class. Sometimes, folk gets construed as this, like, “high-brow music,” when I think deep down that folk is traditionally music of lower-class people. And that’s what punk is, and I think the merging of them sounds really cool. Acoustic guitars and an angry message works just as well as heavy guitars and screaming.
IS: Yeah, I think that’s really interesting. Have there been any particular influences on your songwriting and the type of music you try to produce?
PG: For my music, Rancid was a huge band growing up for me. I love 90s and 2000s punk, as well as one of my favorite bands of all time, Old Crow Medicine Show, which is kind of a faster, looser side of the bluegrass movement. And then, of course, Bob Dylan. He’s a genius about everything. And I think, although those are all very different sounding types of music, they all convey a similar message. They’re true songs about true people and things.
IS: I love that. What do you think has been your favorite piece you’ve written so far?
PG: Oh, so you’re making me choose between all of my favorite children.
IS: I know, kind of a broad question, but...
PG: I don’t know, the problem I have is that I have made a lot of music for a long time. I have made music in punk bands, in metal bands; I’ve made electronic music for a long time. But really, I think Dead Possum Girlfriend is the truest thing to what I would call “my music” and how I feel.
IS: That’s great! Do you have any releases coming in the future with the band?
PG: Yes, we do have our first album coming out in July. And also, we’re going to be on a folk punk collab with a bunch of people from around the United States as well as with a couple of people from the Netherlands and stuff. It’s helping out the Trans Lifeline charity, and all of the money from it will go to them and help out people in the transgender community.
IS: Wow, that’s really great.
PG: Thank you.
IS: What do you think have been some of the challenges that you’ve faced as an up-and-coming band, so far?
PG: Really, COVID has put a huge dent in all music establishments, for new bands... it’s so hard to get shows nowadays, because all of the bands are looking to play now. You know, especially in Richmond, it’s a very oversaturated place with music. Which, is not a bad thing, but makes it hard starting out. Really, getting shows is a difficult thing and I feel like you have to know people and have a reputation. But, if you don’t have a reputation, it’s hard to get started.
IS: Have you thought about trying to play at the Richmond Folk Festival?
PG: Oh no... maybe one day. I would play anywhere really. I just love playing.
IS: Kind of on the other end of that question, what do you think have been some of your greatest successes as a local artist and what does it mean to you to be a Richmond band?
PG: I think Richmond is a beautiful place for music, arts, nature, life in general. It’s my home and it always has been my home. I’ve enjoyed sharing that with other people. I would say, when we played at Unity Fest, it was a great moment. We played a lot of union songs and hearing people sing and be passionate about it was very cool. Like, we played “Solidarity Forever,” and I don’t think we actually finished the song. We got maybe two verses in and then the crowd just kept singing the chorus, and we just let them do their thing. It was a really cool moment and it was beyond what we were playing, it was a whole thing in itself.
IS: That’s really amazing. I have one more question for you today, what direction do you hope to see the band moving in for the future?
PG: So, adding Hayden and Patrick has really opened up the musical world for me. Our first album has a little bit more of the folk-y side of it, but we’re beginning to play more jazz-y stuff, blues... I’m starting to play the accordion in some of our stuff. So, I think we just want to keep branching out, all three of us. I can get super bored playing the same sounds and the same thing, so I think it’s just going to be a future of trying new things, experimenting, having fun, and continuing to make music.
IS: That’s awesome! Thank you so much again for being here!

Davido’s lawyer Bobo Ajudua shares mind blowing childhood experience
In a recent interview, Prince Bobo Fred Ajudua, the personal Lawyer of Davido shares their childhood experience and enjoyable moments together.
In a recent interview with The Punch, Prince Bobo revealed that despite the fact that Davido is in a lower class than him at the British International School they both attended, Davido’s music constantly disturbed him.
Davido’s lawyer acknowledged the singer’s exceptional talent in music, describing him as a prodigy who was known to be a handful in school. However, he wished at the time that Davido would prioritize his studies over music and other interests.
Years passed by and at a point, he had already become famous and requested that Prince serves as his business manager and lawyer.
Davido’s Lawyer on Childhood Experience.
David and I go back many years. We attended BIS together. He was one of my school sons back in the day. He was a terror then, and he is a terror now. There was a two or three year gap between us.
At that time, most seniors did not relate with their juniors, but I had my favourites. Though we did not have much in common, we bonded in a weird way. Whenever school was on break, we used to keep in touch through MSN messenger.
Birth of Davido’s Singing Career.
Once in a while, I would login to the messenger service and receive messages from one annoying junior student (David Adeleke ) saying, “Hey big bro, I have started singing, and there is this cool song I want you to listen to.”
As cool as I was back then, I did not need to be speaking to any junior, but something in me was just never rude to him. I was always warm and receptive; and I would tell him to send the song. I recall that some of the melodies back then were not bad. As far as I’m concerned, David has always been a genius; but, I thought he was better off facing his books.
Another time, he sent me a message, saying he had started taking vocal lessons. Till date, I have a lot of old and unreleased songs from him from back in the day when we were teenagers.
Prince Bobo Ajudua Becoming Davido’s Lawyer
When I left BIS and moved to Cambridge, we kept in touch and have been good friends. He always respected me as a senior that he could trust, and I always had a fondness for him.
Some years down the line, he had started doing music and was making waves. On my part, I went to the university to study. After I graduated and moved back to Nigeria, he popped out again from the woodwork, and said he wanted me to be his lawyer.
At that time, nobody was trying to be an entertainment lawyer. Lawyers were trying to go to court, get the big briefs, work for big companies, and defend successful people. When I moved back to Nigeria, we met and continued our relationship.
The next thing I knew was that I became his personal lawyer and that of his family. After a while, he got me to come onboard fully as part of his management team.
Shocking Confession on Co-Managing Davido
A lot of people do not know that Davido is co-managed by me and Asa Asika. This is, in fact, the first time I will be saying this publicly. The structure is a seamless one. Asa is his entertainment manager, while I am his legal and business manager. We spread the work between ourselves.
To sum up our relationship, I am David’s friend, brother, lawyer and manager. Our lives are intertwined in many ways. In as much as I am older than him, sometimes, he gives some quality advice that I obviously won’t be sharing with you. I can assure you that my relationship with him is one I will not trade for anything. He has actually turned out to be one of my best friends ever.”
