storytime on how you got married because i just remember being at work when all of a sudden the marriage bot appeared and i was like ? 'who' and then BOOM you and lila were now a married couple (also the day my heart broke???)

I basically gave the gist of how Lila @lilacura and I got married in the first goon central story, but sienna wants the details,so the details she will get. 😌

So it all started when Lila and I were planning my trip to her country cause we both love planning things for fun. We yapped about things we would do, where i would stay, how long i should stay, when i should come over, how she would buy me a plane ticket (sugar mommy fr) etc. THENNNN WE GOT OFF TOPIC AND STARTED talking about our birthdays, THEN we talked about our horoscopes and how she's a fire sign and I'm an air sign, so I told her that we are compatible because fire needs air to live.😎 (HAHAHA)

The she was like "STOPPPP WE'RE SOULMATES🤭" and i was like "YESSSS ATP PROPOSE TO MEEEE🤪" I was kidding during that time... but then Lila was like 🤨"who said u weren't already my wife?" in my mind i was like oh?(EHEHEH) I looked at my finger and replied to her "wheres the ring??? i see none" 🤨🤔

Then lila left to go find me a ring, she was sending me photos, but your gurly was being VERYYY MUCH PICKY WITH HER RINGS🥰 BUTTTTT Lila worked hard trying to find me a ring but none piped my interest so i went to look for it myself and sent her a pic of it and she was like "OH YOU LIKE THIS ONE?" ( yes yes i did) the she told me to wait then a second later SHE SENT THE SAME PHOTO I SENT HER TO ME AND TOLD ME TO ACT LIKE SHE CHOSE IT. so i was like "OMGGGGG ITS SOOO NICEEE YESSSSSS" then i took the ring and brought it to an editing app and edited the ring on My finger and sent it back to lila AND IT FUCKING LOOK LEGIT LMAOOOOO.

THEN THE NEXT DAY, THAT WAS WHEN WE ADOPTED KEER @keervah AND JADE @jade-jini AND LILA TOLD ME WE HAVE 2 KIDS AND I TOLD HER THAT WE DIDNT EVEN GET MARRIED YET AND WE ALREADY HAVE KIDS😭😭 but then Lila was like "I proposed yesturday🙄" and i was like "but theres no wedding🙄" ( like we didnt even sign papers😯) of course that made lila be like "WOW OKAY OUR ENGAGEMENT MEANS NOTHING TO YOU" i was shook🧍‍♀️ ( LIKE DID I NAWT SAY YESS???? I AGREEED, OUR ENGAGEMENT MADE ME GIGGLE AND KICK MY FEET, BUT WE JS NEVER SIGNED PAPERS?!) THEN SHE WAS LIKE YOU DIDNT EVEN GET ME A RING ( but little did she know i had a ring ready for her 😎 in my camera roll) So i sent it to her and of course SHE LOVEDDD ITTTTTT WHAT CAN I SAYYYYYYYYYYYY

It was perfect it was so her too then YOU SIENNA GOT BROUGHT UP CAUSE WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE FANFIC ABOUT ME, LILA, AND SIENNA (the love triangle ff) ( guys would you be down for a fanfic like that?) ( IM KIDDING PLSS) and how in the fanfic lila would be the one to win in the end and i was TEASING I SAID "WHAT IF I LIKE SIENNA TOO" then lila got sad 😔 ( my bad bb) and was like "but we are the ones getting married." (rememberrr i said yesss to her proposallll i wouldnt js do it with any oneeee :p) but i apologized :3

Then the next day we added a marriage bot to the server :3 Thats when lila and i made our marriage official surrounded by people we love and care about watching me click the yes button😭🎉

In the end I’m happy and I hope lila is happy too😰(CONFIRM NOW!!) we are silly, we cry together, be sleepy together, send each other TikTok’s and chat all the time we are two peas in a pod (soulmates even 💅🏼) and I wouldn’t change a thing :33

Our marriage anniversary is on March 1, 2024 💍🎉

ok so i ended up watching the first three episodes w out my friends because I couldn’t wait (I feel bad now but aaaaaaa) and this is what I learned

- Diego is a shit dad: probably because he never really had a good model to look up to as a kid. I was surprised that his kid was white???? and not adopted??? How does a desi person and a hispanic person have a white biological child????? Please explain, netflix good lord

- on the related note of the child, stanley, he’s fucking fantastic. Kid can make a hell of a molotov cocktail.

- Reggie is... surprisingly sad this season? He looked kind of like a drowned rat and I almost felt bad for him then i remembered that he locked Klaus in a maloseum

- I expected to like Sloane but she’s kind of manipulative. I don’t know what to think of her.

- Luther acted high the entire time but maybe that’s just how he usually is, I don’t remember. I haven’t watched the other seasons in a long time

- They handled Viktor’s coming out very very well! I loved the different reactions. My brother was talking when Viktor came out to Allison so I didn’t get to hear it, but I especially loved how enthusiastic Luther was about it.

- Five!!!!!! Five five five. I missed seeing him so so so much. I’m so glad he’s back. I loved how he was able to take a step back and just enjoy! I also found it funny how it was the complete opposite than it was in my World’s Largest Ball Of Twine fic- in the fic, Five was on a mission, and Klaus just wanted to see some sights, so he was the one who yanked the wheel into the exit. In the actual episode, the roles were completely reversed!!!

- Lila my beloved!!!! She is so so pretty. I will never not find it funny how she and Five can go from killing each other to casual conversation. (Also, the plaid skirt fit???? that was hot as fUCK) (Id let her kill me in a heartbeat) (maybe im just depressed though)

-I am so so so so glad that they are finally letting Allison lose her shit. SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH A HELL OF A LOT OF STUFF!!!! SHE DESERVES TO LOSE IT IF SHE WANTS!!!! and she does and thats fucking fantastic!!! Im so glad for her!!!!!

- klaus’s aunt was only in the show for like a brief two scenes but she’s awesome i love her

(It has been a while so a quick recap)

-In Volpina, Adrien finds the book and do to Plagg's messing around touches the brooch inside the safe to reveal that it is a Miraculous.

-Plagg and Adrien were both VERY SHOCKED and due to someone comming stuff the book and the Kwami into their bag.

-Now Adrien heads off to school like normal. Adrien and Plagg get to meet Duusu, who is a lot more wacky than Plagg remembers.

-"Regardless we need to take him to Fu."

-Plagg not really understanding the book didnt see the need to get Fu involved, but with a MIRACULOUS involved. Even Plagg knows that this is serious.

-Adrien gets to school but doesnt help Lila with her school work, though offering a raincheck. Which Lila is a bit sad about but doesnt make a big stink about.

-Marinette still finds out about Lila's video on the Ladyblog. But without seeing her try to snuggle up to Adrien, Marinette decides its not worth correcting at this time. But she does tell Alya to see if she can get more proof for that interview, it seems a bit too good to be true.

-Adrien was acting weird most of the day because he was covering for Duusu and his weird antics.

-Immediately after school, Adrien sneaks away to where Fu's place is according to Plagg.

-Fu is surprised that Plagg would bring Adrien here. He was honestly not expecting anyone... unless it was Marinette because of the Princess fragrance situation.

-So Adrien shows him Duusu. Who Fu confirms was one of the two lost kwami of the miraculous

-"Where did you find him?" Fu asked.

-Adrien would be skeptical to say anything until Fu confirmed that this guy was on the level. So Adrien explained that he was in his father's safe.

-Fu explains that the miraculous is damaged.

-Plagg then goes.

-"That explains why Duusu sounds so Nuts."

-Adrien would ask how the damage to the miraculous impacts the kwami.

-Fu explains that the damage to the miraculous impacts the Kwami as the miraculous is connected to the creature, and anyone that would use a damaged miraculous would be in danger as the miraculous acts as a regulator, which prevents the power from hurting the individual. Fu describes the symptoms and Adrien started getting flashbacks to his his mother's condition.

-Adrien shows Fu the book and to his joy. Fu realized it was the tome of the miraculous. Which means he can fix Duusu's miraculous. Once he has the ingredients.

-Adrien is happy to hear that, but realizes that his family likely used Duusu, and that means his father...

-Plagg picked up on Adrien's gloom.

-Adrien confessed that he believed his father may be the one holding the last missing miraculous.

-Fu realized that this was both a stroke of luck and misfortune. On one hand, this could mean that after so long the miraculous can be returned, on the other hand, its possible that this boy loses his family.

-"We can not be too sure. It is possible your father locked this away due to fear of his mistake and simply wished not to be involved with the miraculous. I am no stranger to such errors." Fu explained. "We must attain evidence first."

-Fu created a faux Peacock miraculous and Adrien helped Fu make copies of the Tome. The mentor told Adrien to return with both.

-Adrien asked if he should inform Ladybug about all of this.

-Fu ponders this but tells him that now is not the right time for that. He should keep this meeting and his existence a secret for now.

-Adrien hates keeping secrets, but since this involved his family. He did have to agree with Fu.

-Adrien arrives home and just like in collector was confronted by his father and Nathalie.

-But unlike in the show, Adrien had the book and gives it back.

-Gabriel left the safe open as he put the book inside. He asks about the brooch.

-Adrien points at the safe

-"Is that it?"

-Plagg has moved out of the book and stealthly put the FAUX miraculous behind the tibet brochure. then moved away out of view.

-Gabriel turned and moved to look where adrien was pointing. He looked relieved. Fooled by the fake.

-Adrien appologizes for taking the book.

-Gabriel asks if he showed it to anybody?

-Adrien lies and says he kept it to himself. Gabriel looks at him but simply accepts the answer. He tells Adrien that he is not allowed to go into the safe without his permission and next time he does he is pulling him out of school. Adrien agrees and promises not to do it again. He is grounded though. for two weeks.

-There is no collector because the book is back and if its only his son that knows about it, there is no need for anyone to suspect that he is Hawkmoth.

-Adrien asks Plagg what they should do. Is his father Hawkmoth.

-Plagg comments that he hasnt seen any miraculous jewlery on him, just that tacky outfit.

-Adrien decides that he should talk with Ladybug.

welcome to another one of my low-budget but full of love birthday celebration posts. unfortunately, this ding dong, didnt tell me it was her bloody birthday until like 4 days ago and i suck with time management so i couldnt get her present done on time. but there is a present, and it will come possibly in the next 5 months or so. maybe

for your birthday, i shall tell you the story of what happened when you followed me. because even on someone elses birthday, i find a way to talk about myself. it was a day, the sun was shining, i was in new zealand, scrolling through tumblr, missing my sims game so much, when a notification popped up. thesimperiuscurse had followed me. oh my gosh. i jumped up off my bed and sprinted to my mothers room, much to her dismay. i shouted "mum, thesimperiuscurse followed me!" she turned around and looked at me as though i was crazy, to which i am, and replied; "what?". "thesimperiuscurse mum, ive shown you her photos that talented sims 3 simblr remember?"

pretty sure she still had no clue what i was going on about.

"oh that's great jessie! how exciting" i was smiling and jumping around like an idiot looking like a crazy person. this is 100% how it went, i wish i was kidding, i am not. i then proceeded to run back to my room, probably scream in excitement a bit more, likely scaring my nans cat, and i knew then, my year was made. if not, my entire life.

you see, lila has been my biggest inspiration for about 1000 years, every photo of hers astounds me, and i kid you not, she never fails to make me smile. she is the kindest, most lovely, most extraordinary woman i have ever met. she's put up with me, somehow, for this long and i cannot thank her enough that i got to be her friend. now for the less-sappy part because EW

hey i dont want to make it weird bc i think you mentionned it a while ago i think but i saw that you didnt like six of crows id love to hear your thoughts on the book if you have any because i didnt like it either and i always thought the story & especially the relationships were way too hyped up for how average they were

oh yeah that was a while ago lol i read six of crows when i was like 16/17 and i read both of the books because i got them both for free teehee but i remember there was a lot of hype surrounding those books and maybe YA is a barren wasteland with standards so low it might as well touch the core of the earth because six of crows was like....okay? i didn't find a single one of the characters compelling, kaz was just insanely annoying and so over the top i couldn't take any of his shit seriously (dirtyhandswjewjjwdeww) and it all felt so overwrought and so fucking. like. no way this is what has everybody shitting their pants

i think what irked me the most was the way people in the books talked--like it's not as bad as it is now currently in the YA landscape--where everything was just witty or sooooo angsty or something like that or when the scenes were taking you by the arms and yelling in your face about how tense and subtle and everything was. like it wasn't the best YA book i'd ever read, and it certainly wasn't like. mindblowing. or amazing. it was okay. the way kaz and inej's relationship was set up irritated the fuck out of me. so did lila? and that white boy's. and i remember in the second book they make the only east asian character some time of seducer which like might not be intentional racism or whatever but put that on top of biracial weylan? whatever the fuck his name was? having grey eyes and a gambling addiction and inej being a former belly dancing prostitute at some point i had to put down the book and laughwewuweuiewwe like what the hell even was happening. tldr; too much purple prose, painfully two dimensional characters even though it's a duology, and just irritating and irksome ass relationships.

A Sinister Sneaky Lila Prompt

(( So I was just thinking about the first meeting between Lila and Marinette and how our favorite spotted hero only learned about Lila being a bad person because her crush on Adrien made her freak out and immediately get suspicious of Lila and while Lila did end up being a bad person the fact that Marinette only figured it out because she had a jealous freak out always sat poorly with me so I thought up a different scenario one where Lila is more conniving and patient.))

What if Lila was a little more calm the first time we met her? What if instead of immediately showing up and spilling lies she initially goes with a much more subtle approach? Sure she still lie’s but she starts off with small things instead. But the biggest difference? She doesn't go after Adrien right away therefore Marinette’s first reaction isn't to freak out about another girl talking to Adrien but instead to greet the new girl and let her know she's the class president and maybe even warn her about Chloe the resident class bully?

Now I don’t think that even a subtle Lila would be ‘subtle’ so I imagine even on her first day her interest in Adrien is plain to see. But maybe instead of freaking out or trying to immediately claim the blonde she plays up the fact that she's a ‘fan’ of his and isn't he so gorgeous and friendly? And yeah of course Marinette doesn’t want competition but he's a freaking celebrity she can't really expect or demand other girls NOT to see how gorgeous and perfect he is! And maybe with Alya to encourage her bestie it turns into Marinette and Lila gushing together about how kind he is and his various photoshoots and from there Lila slips in a lie about having some modeling experience from her younger years? Because Lila doesn’t want enemy’s she wants ‘friends’ she wants Adrien and based on what she was able to glean from his social media accounts and her first meeting with the model he’s an absolute idiot who admires ladybug the heroin and is all about ‘friendship’ and ‘forgiveness’ so Lila needs to make herself look like the biggest sweetest everyday hero.

A few days into Lila being at school she learns that while lots of girls in school like Adrien the only real competition is Marinette. A review of the baker girls social media shows she has quite a few connections of her own so Lila doesn’t want to risk cutting the girl off when she’s a potential source for fame. More so with how much attention Adrien gives the pigtailed brat Lila definitely does not want to risk being caught threatening or bullying the girl in any way. So Lila decides to try a different approach. Using her talent for lies Lila infiltrates the girl group at school, she gets on with Alya by encouraging ALL her theories and validating even her crazier ideas to try and unmask Ladybug, she gets on with Mylene by talking about how she was THE actress at her old school and would love to give Mylene advice on her acting! Alix? Its all about how she’s not THAT much of a girly girl last summer she was at a survival camp! Rose is easy as pie and just as much of a bubblegum airhead and Juleka… Well Lila see’s no point in befriending her anyway! She’s just the weird quiet girl.

Now with her way into the group guaranteed Lila can ‘help’ with operation Adrienette she pretends to think the pair are cute and she “respects” how Marinette is drawn to Adrien for his “kindness” the sheer amount of will it takes for Lila not to roll her eyes is staggering really. But its all worth it to learn about the plans to try and help Marinette confess to Adrien and Lila makes sure to ruin each and every single one. Well she TRIES… Admittedly her success rate is more like 70% the ones she ruins range from Marinette just tripping up literally to the ‘pasta’ incident where Marinette wound up covered head to toe in delicious noodles and sauce. The ones she fails to ruin result in her grinding her teeth as Adrien and Marinette spend time together. But of course Lila isn’t just content to ruin as many ‘Adrienette’ moments as she can. No the real goal is to have Marinette give up on Adrien completely hopefully to the point of avoiding him then Lila can swoop in for the steal. In order to achieve this Lila makes sure to ‘comfort’ Marinette after every failed attempt when really shes just finding ways to tell Marinette how she failed and “oh you must have been sooo embarrassed when that pasta fell on you right in front of Adrien I have no idea HOW you’ll ever face him” the rest of the time? She’s reminding Marinette about the pressure on her how Adrien has to date someone who can match him in style, how whoever he dates will be under scrutiny from the media, how Gabriel might have certain expectations from whoever Adrien dates! Their just tiny comments, tiny nitpicks, tiny little doubts she sows into Marinette ruining her already fragile self esteem while no one's the wiser.

Only what if someone does notice? Juleka who Lila never bothered to befriend thinking she was just another quiet weirdo notices the drop in Marinette’s esteem, how could she not? After all Marinette was always pulling her out of HER shell and now no one but her is noticing that Marinette is crawling into one of her own. And Juleka notices that its Lila’s doing, because Juleka is sneaky she see’s Lila cornering Marinette she hears the subtle jabs against the girls self esteem all disguised as ‘friendly concern’ she notes the way Marinette pulls away from Adrien with time how she discourages the girls from planning anything new after SO many attempts have left her bruised and ashamed. With Juleka on the case she starts trying to pick up the pieces of Marinette trying to rebuild her confidence and distance her from Lila until she can find some way to let the rest of the class know about how Lila has been ruining their class presidents self esteem in a way worse than anything Chloe ever did.

But how does the story end? Does Juleka unknowingly guide Marinette into the waiting arms of Luka? The calm guitarist eager to help out in rebuilding the girls now fractured self confidence? Does his calm presence and the lack of pressure and bad experience make Marinette’s heart flutter? Lila rejoices in her victory poised to take Adrien for herself but failing as the model now suddenly seems hung up on the baker even though he never noticed her before? Does Luka rise in stardom with Marinette at his side the two becoming a power couple no one saw coming? All while Lila looks on in jealousy because even though she’s won somehow shes lost? Does she reveal herself in a fit of rage because she WON and she should be happy but Marinette ruined it by somehow scoring the bigger fish? Does Marinette cry at the lose of what she thought was a friend? Does Adrien kick himself for not noticing her earlier? Does Juleka secretly dance because her brother and her dear friend are madly in-love and absolutely adorable together?

Or maybe its Adrien? Because despite all the pain and all the failures and embarrassment and ruined attempts at dates and confessions thanks to Lila’s meddling Adrien felt himself getting drawn to Marinette? Maybe even the failed attempts made him feel closer to her somehow because of how vulnerable and honest the girl is with him and how she picks herself up even when she falls. Does he remember her face red as a tomato unshed tears in her eyes her hair dripping with noodles and sauce and he questions why he didnt grab her hand and wipe her tears and do anything he could to make her smile? Does Lila rage when she realizes her failure does she Juleka catch her threatening and admitting all her misdeeds to Marinette in the bathroom later that day? Does Adrien protect Marinette fiercely and vow to replace every day that Lila ruined with a day full of his love and appreciation for her? Does Lila turn out to be wrong completely and every fear she instilled in Marinette crumbles away as the media embraces the couple completely, and Gabriel adopts the girl eager to grow her talents?

Or maybe its someone else? Felix? Kagami? Chloe? An OC? Lila herself having accidentally fallen for the baker and now needing to redeem herself so she can earn the girls love because she was sneaky and conniving and a liar and she ruined Marinette and tore her from Adrien and regrets it?

Its really hard not to talk about vanya’s s2 plot without talking about vissy so im just gonna do that.

I really liked them! The way vanya just lights up around her, and the way vanya looks at her when she was rubbing her hands was Peak Soft. I love the story of.. Vanya helping Sissy realise she can find love outside of what she has (like she’s worth more than what she has with Carl, and that she can find someone who can love her and love Harlan too). It feels like she’s been trapped on that place for a very long time, and at least with Vanya, she gets to realise she can have more than that, and Vanya wants to give her more than that.

I can buy the fact that Sissy never thought Vanya was bad after she saw how the extent of her powers. Why? Because of all people, Sissy would understand that just because you were born with something that has the potential to be bad, doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. Harlan’s autism sometimes makes him react in ways that can be destructive, but that doesn’t mean Harlan is a bad person. And Sissy knows that Vanya is good, because she knows Vanya from the 1 month they’ve been together and how much Vanya is capable of love and patience with how she cares for Harlan.

But the biggest problem is that Vanya has AMNESIA!

The rest of Vanya’s plot was about how she can further Sissy’s story, and character, and not the other way around. Vanya is the one who keeps chasing after Sissy because she loves her, she’s the one who keeps trying to convince her to run away with her. Vanya plopped in Sissy’s plot and she is used to further it along, but Vanya’s character was never really helped to improve in the same way because she doesn’t really remember anything that went wrong with her before.

We don’t get any meaningful scene where Vanya talks to Sissy about her family or the apocalypse. She never talks about the fact that she has powers, how that revelation might make her feel, and how the extent of those powers actually caused an apocalypse in another timeline. There’s nothing that Sissy’s character provided for Vanya specifically that actually helped improve or develop her as a character. The thing that Sissy provided was just a home where she is loved and accepted (therefore she’s happier) but like... that’s a really generic quota that doesn’t necessarily even needed to be filled with a romance. Vanya could’ve had a platonic, maternal/paternal relationship with someone and that would’ve tied well to her story in s1, because her biggest issue in s1 was being ostracized from family, and not feeling the love of a parent.

How can Sissy help Vanya feel like she’s loved and accepted when she doesn’t even remember that she’s been ostracized? Right now, Vanya only feels love and acceptance from Sissy because Sissy was kind enough to give a stranger a home. While thats sweet, it doesn’t really tie to season 1 in a meaningful way.

Sissy doesn’t even know Vanya plays the violin. The violin is a BIG part of Vanya’s character. The violin is what Vanya used to distinguish herself, how she can make herself extraordinary despite the fact that reginald has consistently told her, and made her feel that she cant be anymore than that. Playing the violin is Vanya reclaiming her personhood away from Reggie and the UA. Even Leonard understood that. Leonard got her first chair because of that and reached out to her using her connection with the violin and her relationship with her family.

Sissy doesn’t know the Vanya whose filled with envy and anger that she can never be good enough. Or the fact that she was so desperate to be seen she wrote a book about her experience at the expense of her sibling’s reputations. That is part of Vanya’s character, even without the powers. Sissy doesn’t know the nasty stuff about Vanya, the amnesia doesn’t let her have that. They don’t have scenes where Sissy helps Vanya contend with the struggles of her past, or scenes where Vanya learns to contend with what happened before, and become a better person. Vanya’s storyline was just about her love for Sissy, it feels really seperate from the rest of the tua plot until the last end. And even with the plot with her powers and Harlan, the romance didn’t need to be there for it to happen. Vanya would’ve saved Harlan regardless, and would’ve unwittingly given a bit of her powers even if she wasn’t in love with sissy because you know.... thats a drowning kid.

Despite that, I also think the amnesia is what made the romance work. Because if Vanya was never given a clean slate, then she would still be reeling from her relationship with Leonard and the events of last season. I dont think the writers can convincingly sell a romance if Vanya is mentally still not in a good place to be there (but tbh... they completely forgot Diego’s still mourning Patch and let him hook up with Lila so maybe they’ll do it anyway).

I just think Vanya’s plot this season was all about her romance which didn’t really contribute much to her character. We get 1 scene where they address her trauma, and 1 scene where they all band together to help Vanya but like..... it’s at the end. And there’s really no other conversation where Vanya knows whats going on because amnesia, so Vanya doesn’t get to have the progression she needed to reflect and become more accepting of herself. It sorta just all happens at the end, which is a shame because Vanya’s trauma was such a big plot on s1. And then the romance didnt even matter in the end because she had to leave Sissy.

so sorry that i didnt update last week, my flowers! this chapter just did not want me to write it, which is Very Rude! but here it is nevertheless: the alya redemption weve all been waiting for!!

After dinner with Marinette’s parents, Damian and Marinette wandered outside. They sat down on the steps to talk.

“Angel, I-“ Damian began, but then he saw Alya approaching from behind Marinette. He cut himself off and nodded in her direction, prompting Marinette to turn and look at her.

Marinette stiffened when she saw Alya. An expression of casual disinterest made its way onto her face, and she arched one eyebrow judgementally. Alya approached anyways.

“Marinette. Before you say anything, please just hear me out.” Marinette nodded for her to go on, curiousity overtaking suspicion. “I’m sorry. I should have trusted you, rather than Lila. I should have found sources myself instead of putting the onus on you. I shouldn’t have accused you of just being jealous. I’m sorry that I took her word over yours. I was a bad friend,” she said, looking sincerely at Marinette.

Marinette opened her mouth, but Alya held up one finger pleadingly. She had more to say. “You don’t have to forgive me. I should have done better. But, if you’ll have me, I’d love to try being friends again. I promise I’ll trust your word over a stranger’s. I promise to actually listen to you. If you give me another chance, Marinette, I promise I’ll do better.” Marinette looked over Alya. Her expression was one of stoic pride, but Damian could tell that she desperately wanted to forgive Alya.

“Alya. I would love to be your friend again, but you hurt me when you chose Lila over me. I’m not sure if I can trust you again. I think we can be friends, but I don’t think our friendship can be like it was before. I thought I knew you, but you left me for her. We can try being friends again, Alya, but I don’t think we can be best friends,” Marinette offered. Alya looked equal parts relieved and saddened by this, but she nodded anyways.

“I understand, Marinette. Thank you for letting me try again. I promise I won’t let you down,” Alya said, hope and sincerity clear in her voice. Marinette finally, finally smiled, scooting closer to Damian and patting the space next to her.

“C’mon. I think we have a lot to catch up on,” she explained. Alya smiled back gleefully and sat.

The two of them talked about everything that had happened since they stopped talking as often. Marinette told Alya that she “got over [her] stupid crush on Agreste, finally.” Alya was proud of her, told her as much. Marinette smiled.

“Sooooo... other than that, any new developments in the romance department?” Alya asked slyly, grinning. Marinette giggled and tilted her head towards Damian, who had been sitting quietly as the two caught up. Damian waved at Alya and struggled not to blush, as he still had some dignity left and Marinette thinking of him as a romantic development shouldn’t have this much of an effect on him. Alya lit up delightedly.

“Really? Girl, you have to tell me everything! When did you two get together?” she asked, looking between the two of them. Marinette gently laughed.

“Well, that may or may not have been our first date you interrupted,” she told Alya, who took on an expression of horror.

“Mari, I am SO sorry. I shouldn’t have done that, oh my god, you two were on a date and I basically heckled you! I’m so sorry,” she said again. Marinette huffed out an exhasperated laugh. Damian added it to a quickly growing mental file of the most adorable noises he’d ever heard.

“Alya, it’s okay. You already apologized. Plus, it prompted us to head to the Pont des Arts instead, and Damian looks very pretty in profile,” she said, nudging his arm playfully. He laughed quietly and kissed her temple.

“I think we all know who the pretty one in this relationship is, Angel,” he said, grinning. Marinette raised an eyebrow at him.

“Oh, are we doing this argument again?” she asked challengingly. He tried not to smile again at her adorable frame containing such a fight-y person.

“Last time, if I remember correctly, we were fighting over which one of us was cuter. Pretty is different, because I am objectively correct, instead of subjectively. Coincidentally, I was subjectively right before, in which the subject is every person with eyes.” Marinette laughed and placed a kiss to Damian’s cheek. He was pretty sure he blushed, but he couldn’t really tell due to the fact that his brain had short circuited.

Alya cleared her throat. She and Marinette went back to talking, but Marinette was holding one of his arms gently and all he could think about was how much he liked her.

Eventually, he regained the use of his brain, and he occasionally added thoughts to the conversation, but he mainly stayed quiet, content to simply live in the moment. It was a very nice moment.

TUA Season 2 is finally here! I think it was a really cool season with some really awesome potential, but there are some parts that I think really didn’t work and this is how i think they should have been fixed

(Spoilers for Season 2 of the Umbrella Academy. Obviously)

i think landing the siblings in different years was amazing, they got time to explore themselves and we could see their personalities through what they did

On the other hand, they didnt devote enough time to those storylines so it never felt like they had a solid purpose (for most of the siblings), it was more to show “time has passed”

How did Luther end up boxing under a gangster? How is he adjusting to no dad, no academy?? He was alone on the moon, He was left behind by his siblings in the academy, now he is alone and in a whole other *time* like i wanna hear about that!

Klaus has mansion and a cult and had a girlfriend benefactor lady?? Like: lets get into that! if the show wants humor that can be amazing

but it can also be really interesting and deep for exploring klaus’s need for both personal space (physically and somewhat emotionally) yet also his need for positive attention from whoever will give it to him!

More on that alone now track: the opening scene with their fighting was built to get us hyped

it fucking worked, that shit was amazing

but along with wishing that we saw more of their individual stories, i wish some of their growth had been gradual

like Klaus should have been showing off ghost stuff with his cult which is part of why they follow him which would set up his new ability to summon and conjure multiple ghosts at a time

instead of it being a throw away scene at the end where he gets caught

or Diego could have been shown in his ‘alone in dallas’ storyline to be trying to escape multiple times from the asylum and in that, figuring out his ability to start affecting other peoples shots at him, etc

Stuff like that would have been a great way to both dive into the characters *and* ramp up their abilities

Moving onto The Commission who i absolutely love so so much

Hell yeah u funky lil time-space assassins

I think that the Handler should have stayed dead

her return to the show while awesome (because she is played so well by her actress) continues this problem for the show of seemingly running in place where things dont have consequences like they should

I also think her return made a very campy feel to certain parts which is fine, the story should have fun! but it doesnt fit with the vibe very well with the other more serious plots

Imagine a storyline where the Handler is replaced by Carmichael, a competent replacement with no close personal relationship to Five

A head to head show down throughout the season of Five trying to outthink and outwit Carmichael and Commission Agents to get a briefcase

The misdirects!

The drama!

The action sequences and reveals!

More Screen Time for the Cool Ass Talking Fish 2k20!

All of which culminates in the board of directors scene but now with real weight behind it for the audience because we have been watching these two face off with one another for a season of build up

LET FIVE EAT THE FISH!

Giving that scene to the handler was the worst part of the whole season, u cant change my mind bros

This would also open up Lila to be more of her own person

Her storyline would change without the Handler there so that instead of being actively manipulated by the Handler, she has gone rogue from the commission to kill Five for her parents deaths due to previous planning and programming from her mother

(its only been 14 days for Five, a very normal turn around for him to desert, have the Handler tell Lila her version of the story, get killed, and have Lila get ready to take him down)

its generally the same plot, but Lila is more in the drivers seat

Going from tagging along with Diego in the hopes that Five returns for him to questioning some of her commitment to her mission as she spending time with them, etc

it could culminate in a reveal of her mother to Five and Diego and then a redemption where she helps them get a case from Carmichael in someway, looping her into the main plot in an important way with generally the same story

but skipping the pretty basic “obviously evil character is obviously evil but hero doesn't see it” trope that they fell into

I think that Luther’s arc in this season was awesome 10/10 gold standard

he was still him, but this storyline showcases the softer side of his loyalty and lets him grow from season 1 mistakes which is everything I hoped for

Diegos arc this season fell flat for me which was hard because he was such a main part of the plot

This whole season had a build-up trying to break down Diego’s need to be a hero (which they turned to a fucking 11 from last season?? he was not *this* intense last season, im not quite sure why they made the switch), telling him that he isnt / cant be the hero

I assumed this was leading to Diego having a big moment or sacrifice that proved that hero or not, he cares and the effort that he puts into all of these different things matters

But it just didnt??

He didnt stop the president from being assassinated, he didnt save vanya, at the farm he got trapped under a tractor

it just felt like the point was “haha see he isnt a hero”

which,,,,,,okay? What the point of that??

His involvement with the Commision was weird too, i didnt care for him being a part of that storyline very much, it just didnt add anything

Allison’s arc was just on the edge of greatness for me

it was an awesome choice to put in her in a position where she wasnt treated equally and show exactly what kind of person she is by how she fights back

her not using her rumors also seems very genuine and character based here like: 10/10 character motivations and work

My one complaint, like with just about all the partners in this season, is that she fell in love with a man and just had to leave him

which makes sense and they talk about it but like: she loves him, its hard to picture someone as loving and loyal as Allison just leaving her husband behind forever

Klaus’s arc just needed more *time*

He is a hella deep character but all of his story lines needed more time to be able to address that complexity

Show us more of the cult and his ghost powers being used there to trick and amaze and how he has been handling being cut off from the family again

I,,,,,,I understand,,,dave’s storyline

I get the time period

but fuck

that just hurts

I think Klaus not trying to rekindle his relationship with a younger Dave, but trying to protect him from the war was an amazing angle and it needed more time to get the full punch of klaus pulling out all the stops to save him but failing to really land it

I feel like his job as ‘leader of the stop the apocalypse’ movement is good but that was his whole story this time around

He should have gotten more to play off of with the Commission (*cough cough* Carmichael) in his fight to get a briefcase instead of what felt like 10 hours of Five trying to herd his siblings and them just fucking up in someway or another

Five and Older Five was a cool dynamic and im glad they brought him in but again, it just felt like another long storyline attempt that didnt have a purpose as they ended the scene without the case or anything new

Ben’s arc was,,,,,strange

I love Ben and i think his interplay with Klaus is really cool!

But the writers made him fall in love which someone so they could give him a reason to want to possess Klaus which i feel like didnt need to happen

The possession was a good part of the season and could have been taken to some awesome places

It was rough and the ‘consent’ wasnt run entirely well but i think the possession is supposed to be on the line and not quite black and white

its Ben asking to take control of Klaus! That can be conflict! Thats good stuff right there! Ben is selfish! so is Klaus! thats a cool story to get into between them and see how they try to work it out

Ben wanting to connect with his other siblings after the small taste of being corporeal that he got and pushing Klaus for more and more of that freedom into possession territory would be A+ shit

and Finally: Vanya!

I think most amnesia plots are lazy and just a way to stall progress and reset a character so you can run a very similar plot again but this one seemed to genuinely grow Vanya’s character, even when she remembered

She definitely has more personality in this season

And while shes quiet, thats just who she is, she isnt as afraid to take space and speak up which is awesome!

And this stays when she gets her memory back which is very good, i dont want to see backsliding for no reason! Give me growth!

I have two complaints about her storyline though

First Sissy and Harlan

I love both of them and I think they are really cool characters!

Theyre pretty similar to vanya season 1, taking whatever is thrown at them which places Vanya in a more assertive position where she wants to protect them which i loved!

but their ending doesn't sit entirely right with me, just like Raymonds

These characters are in love and they all just leave each other so that the siblings can have a clean, no characters permanently added slate for the next season

it just makes me tired and i really want season 3 to have little to no romance if the only way the show can go about it is to do a love interest per season

My second problem gets its own section because it is the culmination of everything else i have said

episode ten

Vanya is strong af so any writer that wants big final fight needs to very carefully weigh out how to give each sibling their appropriately sized struggle so they get equal ability to contribute

Instead of doing that though, they did my least favorite trope: Evil Character secretly can do everything the heros can but better and without a problem or ***training***

It meant that they could do whatever they wanted with throwing commission agents at them because Luther, Allison, and Klaus were completely added on just to react to things

Five sort of got to do some fighting (<3 thats my lil geriatric 13 year old) but it was minor, he was mainly there to very obviously turn back time when the big bad shoot out happened

Diego got the most to do out of the siblings and it was suddenly knowing a new ability and doing it a little bit

I dont want a final fight to be trying to woo a bad guy to the good side because theyre too strong to fight

I want there to be stakes and drama as the siblings show off exactly what the season was all about, what they learned, how they grew together and apart, etc and to take down the big bad which could have very easily been the united front of the Commission instead of 18% Vanya, 15% Harlan, 30% Lila and the Handler, 20% the Swede(s), etc

Lila’s turn to good could have been to help them sneak attack the commission, maybe in their base so as to shrink the fighting to manageable bites for each character?

That would have allowed five’s killing of the board to draw the fighting to a close, a hard decision for him as he is trying to move away from killing but does so to save his family, always to save his family :’(

Luther could protect his siblings from hits like they showed at the beginning in a way that mirrors how he has been doing that emotionally all season

etc etc etc for all of the siblings so that they each get to show off and have their moment in the spotlight as heros

I loved the season even though i just ranted for like 3 pages, and it has some of the best one liners and line readings ever (”Thats where you come in Five” “Nope. No it isnt”) I just wish that some parts of it had been given some more thought / care so they could really show of the amazing cast, effects, sets, etc without writing in the way

IIRC, Adrien salt gained most of its steam from two incidents: His “take the high road” advice in Chameleon, and when he almost threw his ring away in Syren. In my opinion, both of those scenes showcased some of the worst writing in the show. It’s kind of a theme with Adrien salters, actually; just about every bit of ammo they use against him really stems from the writers’ refusal to treat him as a character and just have him do whatever is needed to move the plot in a certain direction.

That is where most fandom scholars would say the salt first became prominent and hit its peak.

You know whats really funny? My opinion on both of these 'Salt starter' scenes has changed on how I view it.

I think the problem with a lot of character salt is that we often think that every character knows everything that we as the viewer do.

Lets start with Syren.

Before things happened, Chat noir and Ladybug were partners and the only hero game in town. They had established rules, that they both agreed to.

Then Enter Rena Rouge. Now when she first appeared, chat noir was only thinking "Oh cool, back up"

But around the time syren happened. Rena Rouge has appeared a few times, and the novelty of it has warn off. Now wondering, "Hey where did she come from?"

And at this point Chat noir is realizing that Ladybug is leaving with the new hero, 'Do these heroes know eachother IRL?" "What happened to identities?"

Then Ladybug lets something slip and now that just brings Chat noir to a realization. Ladybug is hiding something from him. An not just Ladybug. Plagg too! Two people he trusts just as much as himself.

We as the viewer know that Marinette/Ladybug is honoring Fu's request.

And another thing we fail to realize here is Adrien's upbringing.

Adrien knows nothing about what happened with his mother and why. His father always keeps him at a distance and tells him NOTHING.

Imagine being someone who has spent their entire life having stuff hidden from you, including what happened to the mother you loved dearly, only to find people you love and trust start pulling the same s*** to you again?

Adrien's frustration and wanting to quit is actually pretty reasonable. And this character crack is actually great for development.

The flaws in the writing are specifically 2 factors:

1. It fails to point out the situation is not Marinette's fault. This whole situation is on Fu. Fu should have specified that he was the one that instructed Marinette to keep quiet.

2. The show could have emphasized Adrien's home situation more so it was more understandable to the audience.

But these issues are often overlooked.

Now lets go to Chameleon.

The elephant in the room is that Lila THREATENED Marinette. Which we as the audience sees. No one else knows Lila did this. But to us, seeing Adrien suggest the "High road" seems like awful advice. But when you remember earlier,

Adrien tried to tell lila to stop Lying, and that lead to her akumatization.

Marinette and Adrien both have very different experiences here, thus having them come to different conclusions

Adrien believed that confronting Lila wouldnt change anything because his attempt to talk with her resulted in her akumatization

Marinette's opinion of wanting to confront and expose Lila is more natural when someone has personally threatened you or a loved one.

So the writing flaw here isnt Adrien's advice, its the fact that they made his advice the 'Correct choice' despite the fact that Lila crossed a line with threatening.

If Lila didnt threaten Marinette, then Adrien's advice being the 'Lesson' would actually make a lot of sense.'

So the Flaw in the writing and viewer perspective resulted in Adrien being the main target of the salt. (which when looking at it from this perspective does explain a lot)

I got a bit off track there. As for the Adrien salt.

I do believe that what you said is the start of not just Adrien salt but all character salt in a nutshell.

The fans taking the writing of the canon and finding fault with it. Originally wanting better for the character.

The light/ early salt can simply be seen as critiques (often attributed more to writing salt for the show than actually on the character)

I theorize that from this point that it can build up and start to spiral from criticism of character writing to simply hating the character because of multiple factors:

1. Negative interaction with Fandom stans of the character or Ship involving a character. (Reactionary salt)

2. Individuals that salt on the character, encouraging more and more criticism (Salt mining for approval/ echo chamber effect)

3. Or simply taking one's personal dislike of the direction the character in the plot or Character in general and beginning to exaggerate things to such an extreme degree. (Psychological response which I would need a psychology degree to delve into further.)

Of course take all of this with 'A grain of salt' because there is a lot more too it.

Marinette's New Shield

A/n: I'm not late in the salt train that is Chameleon, I just never posted anything for it. This is my first miraculous post. Ruby Culpa is my oc who is related to the famous Felix Culpa that everyone is in love with. Enjoy :D I suck

Its been months since Lila's return, and for its been hell. She's done nothing but say that the Italian girl is lying, and yet her so called friends don't believe her. Don't believe that pure, innocent, sweet Marinette hates lies.

The hurt she felt when none of them believed her, when Alya told her to fact check when she didn't do any of that herself. Take the high road. A cheap excuse to be a coward. But she can't really fault Adrien for siding with the others. He's never really had friends before or a father to teach him.

And yet the sweetest person--in his opinion-- is getting hurt and he does nothing. Marinette shook her head. Lila wanted to rid marinette of all her friends and Adrien. But clearly it's not enough now. The others have joined in on tripping her, calling her names, talking behind her back. And she's ignored them all. Its not healthy, she knows it, but who else can believe her. All she has is Tikki and her parents.

Her parents.

She loves them a lot, but she can't tell them this. Not now. And though she hasn't told Master Fu about it, she has a feeling that he knows. Why else would they have meditation sessions almost every weekend. But it helped lessen the pain. Marinette no longer cared. Her smiles weren't bright at school, her eyes didn't shine as much. She no longer had presents to give to anyone. No longer paid attention to anything that wasn't work related.

Surprisingly when Chloe noticed this-- especially after coming back from New York--, she was a bit nicer to Marinette. Queen bee had really changed her. So she gave Chloe a chance, and the blonde took it seriously. They started over, slowly bonding over things in common. Chloe eventually trusting Marinette about liking girls. And Marinette trusting Chloe about liking both genders.

Lila on the other hand was slowly taking the school. Spreading lie after lie, rumor after rumor, all to make sure Marinette didn't have friends again. It almost worked, but Lila never saw that girl coming.

The atmosphere was toxic, she knew that much. Her cousin Felix had warned her about this school before he left again, saying that there more bullies than ever. That his friend Marinette was caught in a corner and the light had gone out of her. So it was her job to change that.

The first thing she saw when she entered her assigned classroom, was a large group surrounding one person. Almost the entire class was listening to an Italian girl spout out some nonsense about knowing the late Michael Jackson. In just 5 minutes of standing there, she deduced that everyone seemed like a hypocrite. Moving her eyes away from the large group, she spotted 2 girls sitting up at the back, talking quietly.

The blonde was familiar, being practically family, though she didn't like her very much. The other, was probably what her cousin was going on about. Though she wore pink, the colors look faded, her eyes dark blue, and her face practically emotionless. Her face screamed tired, but didnt show it to anyone. A tap on her shoulder, caused the girl to turn, seeing a tall woman, presumably her teacher, smiling softly at her.

"You must be Ruby Culpa." She said quietly to her, watching the young girl nod her head. "Are you, by any chance, related to a Felix Culpa?"

"Yes I am. He's my cousin, we are very close." She answered calmly, running a hand through her short hair.

"Well I'm happy that you could join us. The only available seat we have is the next to Marinette is. If you have any questions, you can ask her or myself. As class rep, she'll be able to help you with what she can." Ruby didn't miss the way she avoided offering to ask the other students for help. Clearly it was worse than she expected. Nodding her head, she turns again, this time catching a pair of green eyes stare at her in shock.

Frowning, she goes to walk to the back, when she hears a voice excuse themselves and practically feels herself being dragged out of the classroom. She hears the person saying to the teacher-- who she has yet to get a name- that they needed to talk. When they're both far away from the class, Ruby moves her arm away.

"Ruby! I've missed you so much! Felix didn't tell me you were coming here!" Adrien said excitedly and she stared at her baby cousin's innocent green eyes, causing her frown to deepen.

"Because I didn't want him to tell anyone. Adrien, I want you to look at me in the eyes right now. And tell me you didn't cause the tension that's in the class room right now." She sees Adrien immediately deflate, causing her to sigh. She can't blame him, her father was never one for teaching. "Alright drop the face. I'm here to set things right. And you know that nothing will stop me." She says, giving him a look when she saw that he was about to protest.

Sighing, he nodded, smiling a bit. "Just don't cause a lot of trouble please." Ruby scoffed, crossing her arms.

"Oh please, Agreste. You know Felix causes more trouble when its something as bad as this. Just be glad both of us aren't here." Adrien nodded in agreement, gesturung to return to class.

"Also, don't mention that we're related. Not until I figure this mess out." She watched him nod his head, before he entered first, Ruby a few seconds after. She headed for the teacher, asking for her name so that she remembers, and for a favor. Once the teacher-- Mme. Bustier as she said-- agrees, she clears her throat loudly, grabbing the attention of everyone.

Everyone fauning over the Italian girl stop, missing the look of irritation on her face as they turn to Ruby and Mme. Bustier. "Class I would like to introduce you to Ruby. She'll be with us for quite a while, so I hope you all be nice to her." Ruby watches the faces of everyone. Some of the girls smiling and waving, the boys mostly giving nods, while the Italian girl just crosses her arms.

The girl ignores her and looks towards the back, seeing Chloe's wide eyes and the bluenette stare at her curiously. After a few more seconds, everyone is back at fauning over the Italian, and Ruby sees the blue eyed girl quickly shut down her emotions. Now I get it.

Silently, she walked up the steps after Mme. Bustier leaves for something and goes to sit in her seat, shaking her head slowly at the direction of Chloe when she's about to speak. She catches Chloe deflate a bit but nods, continuing to talk quietly and do some work with Marinette. This is new.

It wasn't even 20 minutes later that footsteps are heard and a girl with glasses and a checkered shirt walks up, standing in front of her. "Hey new girl! I saw earlier Adrien drag you outside, you guys friends?" She was smiling, completely ignoring the other two in the back.

"Yeah I guess you can say that. We've known each other since we were younger."

"That's so cool! My name's Alya, nice to meet you Ruby." Alya smiled brightly and held out a hand to shake, which ruby took. When she felt the firm excited shake, she hid a frown. She's angry at someone. "Hey, maybe you can hang out with us during lunch? There's this really cool friend of mine who has these amazing adventures."

"I'll think about it. But I'll let you know." Ruby says calmly, and Ruby doesn't miss the way Alya glances at the two people next to her, surprise written on her face before scoffing and returning to the large group, sitting next to a boy with a hat on, the Italian girl on her other side.

She let her frown show and turned Chloe, who was staring her grimly. With a shake of her head, she shifted to Marinette and understanding showed in her eyes. It's way worse than Felix had said.

When it hit lunch, Ruby walked around aimlessly, vaguely listening to the chatter that was happening around.

"RUBY!!" She turned just has a blonde in a yellow jacket almost crashed into her, giving her the biggest bone crushing hug. "I didn't know you were coming here! Come on, I have someone to introduce you to!" Chloe said excitedly. She dragged Ruby outside to the park, aware that people were watching. Once they reached their destination, Chloe let go of her hand and saw Marinette eating what looked to be a croissant sandwich.

Turning to the blonde, she crossed her arms, noting how different she has been. "You know why I'm here." It wasn't a question, far from it. She needed verification from the mayor's daughter before she can start.

Chloe sighed softly, nodding as she glanced at marinette. "Its way worse than when I bullied her. I already texted daddy saying that you were here."

"Good, only thing I ask is that you don't say anything about me being related to Felix." Ruby stated, eyeing Alya in the distance, the girl staring back in confusion. She turned, walking up to the quiet noirnette and crouched so that they were in eye level. Marinette stopped eating her sandwich, eyeing the girl in front of her. Ruby just smiled softly, holding a hand out to her.

"Felix has told me a lot about you, Marinette. And from what I've gathered in the last few hours, taking the high ground has cost you dearly." She spoke gently, watching Marinette's eyes widen, before tears blurred her vision. She set her meal aside and cried, sliding onto the floor. Ruby caught her and held her gently, drawing small circles on her back to calm her down.

It worked eventually, Marinette jsut sniffled occasionally, slowly moving away from ruby. She could make out the red on her face as she looked away, causing ruby to smile. "Don't worry your little head about anything Marinette. I'll make sure everything is right before I leave."

"Rubes, they're coming." Chloe whispered as Ruby calmly helped Marinette back on the bench, before turning around, standing in front of Marinette protectively as she wiped her eyes.

"Hi! You're Ruby, right? I'm Lila." The Italian girl said, offering her right hand to the girl. A cold stare, she shook the girl's hand and instantly felt a lot of negativity.

"Nice to meet you, Lila. Is there--"

"Marinette are you seriosuly crying right now? Those crocodile tears of yours aren't to make us forgive you for treating Lila terrible." Alya sneered, causing Ruby to stare right at her, noting Lila's little smirk.

"How do you know that its fake?" Ruby's cold voice startled Alya, as everyone turned their glaring to the new girl. She remained unfazed, waiting for an answer. She saw Adrien stare at Marinette worriedly.

"I forgot to mention this earlier. Marinette is a bully. She's done nothing but torment poor Lila since she got back. And just spouted some random tears so she can--"

"So she can what, Alya Cheshire." Ruby's voice cut through the angry girl's voice. Her eyes widen at the reveal of her last name by the new girl. Chloe smirked as she crossed her arms, Marinette watching with wide eyes.

"She's crying because she had a panic attack. No one fakes a panic attack. Especially when there's toxic air around." She saw some of the girls cast worried looks to Marinette, the boy with the hat doing the same. "I was just helping her relieve that so I can introduce myself."

"H-how do you know my whole name?" Ruby raised an eyebrow. Was this girl really focused on how she knew her name instead of the girl behind her? This was worse than she can imagine.

"Wow, so I've said a lot and that's the only thing you're paying attention to. That says a lot. I glanced at the roster on Mme. Bustier's desk. Now if none of you have anything else to say, especially to Marinette, you can kindly all leave. As first impressions go, I did not enjoy this. Each and everyone of you get one chance to make me change my mind on all of you. And I say this once." She stared at all of them coldly, eyes settling on Lila.

Lila didn't back down, unlike the others visibly shrinking away from the stare, but Ruby could easily see the girl was getting unnerved. Slowly they all left, Adrien casting a sad look to Marinette before walking away with the others.

Once they were gone, Ruby turned around, her cold stare softening. "Don't blame Adrien for asking you to keep quiet. His father hasn't really taught him these things. But both Adrien and Felix have told me about you and all the good you've done. You're not alone in this, Marinette. What I want you to do while I set things right, is to be confident in yourself." She was crouched in front of the girl again, watching slowly as her eyes shined a bit.

"T-thank you." Marinette stuttered, pink dusting her cheeks a bit. Ruby smiled and stood, turning to the blonde next to her.

"I'll be back later. Make sure she's still smiling and that none of those classmates get near. Especially Lila Rossi and Alya Cheshire." She stared at the blonde, watching as she smirked and nod.

"They're lucky Marinette isn't Ladybug, then they would've lost the best person as their friend. Ridiculous."

"Speaking of which," Ruby spoke up, noting how Marinette gave a look to Chloe, "I don't fully know what's going on in Paris. I was in Japan for a long time studying. I want to know more about the heroes and these akumas."

"Wait studying? Studying what?" Marinette asked, genuinely curious. The girl smiled and pulled out her phone, fixing the strap of her bag over shoulder.

"I'm planning on writing a book, and I want a version of it to be in Japanese. There's already a French and English version being edited by a few friends who's helping me for fun."

"Oh my god that's amazing!" Marinette exclaimed happily, smile so huge it was almost blinding. "When you publish it, can I be the first one to read it?" The blue eyed girl stared pleadingly, causing Ruby to laugh.

"Of course. You and Chloe can get free a copy when it comes out. Now I gotta go, but I'll see you guys later." She said, waving at them as she walked off. She texted a few things to her cousin before calling someone.

"Hello, Penny? I'm here to talk about Marinette. You were right, she is too good to be taken advantage of. I have a plan and I need your help." Ruby walked across the courtyard, aware of a pairs of eyes watching her. Turning her head, she saw Lila stare at her.

They stared at each other for a minute before Ruby smirked, giving the Italian girl a thumbs down, shocking and enraging her.

Lila's going down.

TUA Unpopular opinions?

Don’t get me wrong, i love the show but there are a few things that i dont like/ dont make sense to me so i wanted to have a little rant about it but im gonna do it under a read more so you all dont have to listen to me ramble so,

Em’s TUA unpopular (?) opinions (about s1 maybe but mostly s2):

I personally felt like they dumbed down Diego and in s2, i dont understand how he went from being in love and absolutely devastated about patchs death and then just completely forget about her and suddenly become in love with lila in what? 70 days? to me it felt like a cop out way of introducing Lila to the hargreeves.

After 3 years sober klaus didn’t improve his powers at all??? like yeah we saw in the opening scene him using the ghosts to his advantage then that was it, there was no evident improvement to his powers except more control with ben. Surely hed be seeing more ghosts, having control over more ghosts or just anything,, but we didnt get that at all. I personally felt like he had more to do in s1 with his powers and we saw some great progression, we saw as he got sober when he was getting tortured he started seeing more ghosts then used them to his advantage and he literally died and came back to life.

At this point its becoming very inconsistent with him seeing the ghosts that hazel and cha cha have killed but not five??? or lila??? especially since he was sober (at least for a few days) in s1 and in s2 he just didn’t see any ghosts other than ben?

The writers keep writing Five out when its convenient to them and its just becoming,,, anoying?? theyve made him too powerful but instead of actually letting him use his powers with his siblings they just send him away to do something else when if he was there it would be completely avoidable. and when hes actually in these fight scenes they dumb him down, hes the most efficient assassin ever, hes the best assassin ever yet whenever hes in one of these fight scenes they make him do some very untatical skills that he just wouldn’t do

Allison has such a huge potential as a character and its frustrating how much her character is basically nothing like her comic character. some people may be happy about the fact shes nothing like her character but it just?? doesnt sit right with me. She was a bad bitch in the comics yet the only similarities from comic to tv was her relationship with luther (which in the comic she rumours him to being in love with her, not even them just being in love), her daughter and that she got her throat slit by vanya.

and to be honest she is a bit of a bitch in the comics and i really wanted to see more of that, like i appreciate her story development in the show but i wanted to see her and five and the whole story line of her and him and the involvement in JFK, i wanted to see that development in their relationship, her getting her voice back because of Five and the commission, her having some involvement with his assasination

now i know that they would not be able to make her pretend to be jackie, physically it would not happen but there could of been all sorts they could of done but instead they just wrote it all out and it peeved me off

it would of completely changed some of the sibling dynamics and it would be super interesting for diego have to deal with the fact his own sibling killed JFK

Five not eating carmicheal, there was other ways they couldve gotten lila to find the files and they ripped a great scene from the show to give it to a character that wasnt even in the comics

the fact that Five didn’t shoot vanya in the head and say “I never liked you” because he would be trying to break her powers basically, then vanya loosing all her memories when they travelled, five could do the whole be soft and then him saying “you really dont remember anything, do you?” and then her regaining her memory, i think it would be great personally

also five just being a dick, because he is in the comics, and i know its not the comics but if he’d of had the scene before him and allison go to the commission he opens up to allison about his commission time

a topic i am affraid to talk about, lila: (this may be kinda long)

i do not like lila as a character, i dont like how she treats diego and exploits him and acts like everything is fine (she drugged and kidnapped him??!!??) and what the fuck are her powers

her entire character doesnt make sense, they just needed someone powerful to fight vanya and five

when did she even have the time to figure out her powers, Five clearly does not recognise her and neither do the other siblings so theres no chance she was able to practice during the commission because Five obviously wasnt around. And then she can just use them perfectly??? doesnt make sense to me

and i know some people love lila but she just grates me the wrong way

and now the writers have came across another problem of making her too powerful for her own good

and there was no clear build up to her powers, i wish they wouldve just introduced a new power because it would be so much less confusing

where does she fit in the timeline as well because five went on that mission with the handler but then just wasnt around for the next 25ish years when she was raising her???

the writers have bitten off more than they can chew with her i think and i will be very impressed if they somehow manage to pull it off

she just felt very random and forced into the show in my opinion

The fact that no one mentions fives actual open wounds that he probably still has, last i checked an actual shrapnel wound doesnt heal in what? 14 days? but they just ignored it i guess

in s1 Five not getting reggies monocle, just having diego throw it into the ocean im?? like why?? for what???

luther being in love with allison feels very slightly one sided when in the comic she!! rumoured!!! him!!!!

she basically didnt use her powers for anything useful and when she was about to lila used her power of imitation??? to rumour allison instead

kinda what i talked about earlier but five being the main plot driver until its inconvenient to the writers and then they make him dumb it frustrates me to no end

i just dont understand why they couldnt have lila with a brand new power, not just mimicking because it doesnt make sense and then she has the ability to use it perfectly when she wouldnt actually have any experience in using it??? if the writers are literally going to add christopher the cube they could of given her a better power

all the siblings basically just dismiss five, all the time, the only sibling through the show who have actually done something for five is Klaus in s1 when he literally smashed a snowglobe into his head for five and didnt even know why they were there. Even when luther goes with five he straight away sides with older five and like?? i understand it was a funny thing to add in but even then like its just odd

young five and old five not really having the same energy, its really minor but the five in s1 does not match the energy of old five in s2 when hes just about to go to 2019

these are all just my opinion and just something i wanted to get off my chest, if you dont agree with these its completely valid.
