i feel like it’s not my place to say too much about todays presale because ultimately i got lucky that a friend was able to give me an unused code and i got tickets, but as someone who had signed up for a code and never received one, i really, really wish it had been made more clear by whatever party was responsible that signing up for the presale was, essentially, a lottery and not a guarantee for a code.

i’ve seen some screenshots of folks’ conversations with customer support where the agents are saying as much, that registration was not a guarantee for a code and i think having to reach out to get that info from them after the fact feels very much like it’s being used to cover up a technical malfunction or some other generally Bad Situation, and yes my tinfoil hat is on.

If we had all gone into today knowing we might not even get a code to start with, it might have changed the optics and expectations around it all. conversely if they’re just trying to cover their ass with after the fact info or whatever… uhhh Yikes.

idk. this is a mess and by far the weirdest and most batshit process for buying concert tickets i’ve ever experienced.
