My friend's Icelandic sheepdog Corvus came over for a puppy play date last night. Cinder was UPSET at first, she's only ever been attacked by strange dogs so she had to learn he wasn't going to do that. After he was deemed non threatening, she loved him. He's a great pup.
A week ago, we attended our first ever event; an AKC dog show. Green handler and green dog setting foot in a ring together for the first time. We pulled off WD/BOW/BOS for our first point!
We got to be led around by Corvus’ breeder for the day who has been a fantastic mentor. We got to visit his dam and sister and compete alongside them in the ring
More than anything I was thankful for a happy stable dog who handled everything with confidence. Can’t wait for what the future holds!
i have never been able to identify which breed of dog i am, despite always knowing i am a dog. recently though i’ve been feeling extra connected with spits-type breeds.
i fell in love with several spitz breeds about 2 years ago and they’re just my absolute favourite now. it sucks that no one’s ever heard of most of them. they are so me. i am a big fluffy northern dog !!
We were on a tenting vacation in the Harz (middle Germany national park with a lot of low mountains and forest) with @nefja .
It was a lot of fun, lots of hiking in a beautiful but slowly dying landscape.
Even though the days were really nice to hike (temperature around 20°C and often slightly cloudy) the nights (and therefore the evenings and mornings) gut pretty chilly (8°C). So we went to bed in our tents in the early evening. It was comfy in the sleeping bags and really quiet until the end of our vacation. Then some loud groups were settling around us. But we were exhausted from the days so still falling asleep pretty easily.
I'll post some more pictures from our vacation in the next days, so stay tuned 😘
