I have a headcannon for magolor, his cape flows depending on which emotion he has.
When he's happy, it is VERY flowy and smooth

“I trusted him, ya know?…” David’s voice was barely above a whisper, slurred from the whiskey he found from one of the trial grounds.
Jake glanced over, sipping from the second bottle David had somehow magically brought back to the campfire, and was only being shared with Jake to keep him from telling the others about it.
“Who?”
“The bugger with the smiley face mask.” He was getting a bit angry, always got that way when he drank. “I wanted to protect him, keep him safe. I thought he was new and I didn’t… I didn’t want him to get hurt…” He sniffed and took another swig from the whiskey. “Then the cunt went and stabbed me in the back.”
Jake nodded and moved closer to David, patting his shoulder lightly. “Mhm…”
“… How do we even know who we can trust here?! I mean, I can’t even trust the people around me. How do I know one of you lot won’t turn on me?…”
“Well…” Jake didn’t usually talk when David was like this but with how tears were starting to brim in the Brit’s eyes he felt like he needed to. “I won’t…”
David made a grunting noise and went back to his whiskey. Jake stayed quiet, his hand sliding off David’s back as he sighed. It was of no use to speak to the man when he was like this, and Jake knew that.
The least he could do was just sit with David in silence and hope that his presence would be enough to help him feel comforted.

new fontaine character names and possible pronunciations
i know genshin loves to butcher names from around the world so who actually knows what they'll go with for these, especially since they're already diverting from my guess for lyney, but let's go:
Freminet — my guess is "FREH-mih-nay" but there's a chance they ditch french pronunciations entirely and go for "FREH-mih-nett"
Egeria — either "Eh-JZEHR-ee-uh" or "Eh-DJEER-ee-uh," but the first is way prettier
Lyney — it was pronounced "LINN-ee" in the overture teaser, but the french way would be more like "Lih-NAY"
Lynette — also pronounced in the overture, pretty straightforward in french or english "Lih-NETT"
Navia — "NAH-vya" but might go "Nah-VEE-uh" instead
Charlotte — already pronounced from the event she was in last, also straightforward "SHAR-lot"
Wriothesley — no fuckin clue. "RIZZ-lee" was one put forth online, or it could be "REE-ohz-ley" or "RYE-oh-thez-lee"--it's just choose your number of syllables fun!
Sigewinne — another idek, but i have guesses! probably, they'll go with a very english-sounding "SIG-uh-win," but maybe they'll do "SIG-u-veen" or "ZIG-uh-VIN-uh"
Clorinde — "Kloh-ROND" would be more french, but they might stick with "Klor-REEND" which :/ (let's be real, the fandom's gonna call her chlorine)
"The Knave" Arlecchino — Knave is straightforward (cave but with an N), but Arlecchino is "AR-luh-kee-no" for those not already in the know
Furina — "Fur-EEN-uh" or "Foo-REEN-uh" which is honestly a negligible difference if you say it fast enough, but they might switch up the emphasis with "FUR-in-uh" or smth
Neuvillette — "NOO-vill-ett" easy peasy!

I saw a tiktok where the first spoiled cat, that lives there since it was a kitten, is a menace to society vs. The ex stray cat, that appreciates literally everything, is a ray of sunshine, and I had to think about Dick Grayson as a child vs. Jason todd as a child.
In this essay, I will-
