"Do you trust me?"
Such a loaded question he dared to ask. It pulled a scoff out of her chest. A scoff; a sound of disbelief in response to his foolishness. Foolish is what he was. A damn idiot.
The audacity of him to ask such an egregious question with no hesitation made her jaw tick. Who was he? Did she trust him? She'd trust a hungry lion before she put her trust in the man she called her husband. Illia learned her lesson of giving him the benefit of the doubt. It only bit her in the behind and put her through the ringer of embarrassment each time.
"No," she replied plainly, her eyes not moving from the book she read. Her head was lowered as her eyes skimmed the pages from behind her round glasses. Illia brought a finger to her lips, tapped it against her tongue, and flipped the page.
In any other situation, she would have lied. She would have squeaked out a yes like a little mouse, shuddered when his cold eyes threatened to freeze hers over, and retreated to a corner. No; she couldn't take it any longer and she refused to. Coriolanus Snow would no longer have the ability to make her feel small and useless ever again. She'd rather be put six feet under before she permitted it.
"No?" he repeated. The shock in his voice made her lift her eyes. She blinked slowly. What had he failed to understand? For someone to be Academy and University educated, he seemed to have a difficult time grasping the concept.
"No, Mr. Snow," she said firmly. "I don't trust you. And do you know why I don't trust you, Coriolanus?" Illia closed her book and placed it on the bed. She folded her hands over her lap like her mother used to do and sighed softly. "I don't trust you because you are a selfish, egotistical individual who finds joy in putting others down because you cannot allow yourself to heal from what traumatized you.
"Life sucked for you, and for that I am truly sorry. But to think that you have the right to be a tyrannical imbecile because of it? Who even are you?"
Coriolanus' face reddened like the crimson of his suit. His nose flared. His jaw tightened. She kept going.
"And who are you to treat me any kind of way? Who was I to let you? Newsflash, Coriolanus, it wasn't my dream to marry you. But, guess what? Here we are. I may not like it, but I show up. I show up because you have goals to achieve, I show up because I have goals to achieve. I show up because I like to think that eventually we'll get along. I don't know when it'll happen but you better beg your lucky stars that they do."
Finally, Coriolanus spoke up, voice low and gruff. "And why is that, Illia?"
She stood to her feet and let them carry her to them. She sighed lightly and brought her hands to his chest. Coriolanus flinched. Her fingers danced along the color of his button-up and she pretended to straighten it. "If you don't, I'll let everyone know how their beloved president of Panem has no issue dragging his wife through filfth behind closed doors. I will become your worst nightmare, Coriolanus Snow."
She brought her lips to his ear. "If you think you'll have me, an educated and beautiful woman by your side, you will earn it. if not, I'll watch you burn. Choose wisely, Mr. Snow. I hope I made myself clear."
Illia turned on her heels and crawled back into bed with her book. Coriolanus was rigid as a statue, paralyzed with shock and a small ounce of fear. Would she really do such a thing? Coriolanus took a deep breath and began walking out of the bedroom.
"Close the door behind you!"
Checkmate.

Short story for a first heartbreak question in the wayfarer discord a while ago
Fandom: Wayfarer | Words: 304
Illia Strand | pre-prologue Rating: G. Some mean parents/siblings
Useless
Illia is only seven years old, and she's already sailed before, of course, but not on a big trip like this one. They're racing across the sea, with real cargo and real trade to do. She's excited. She can't do any magic, not like anyone else on the boat, but she's going to wash up in the galley and Father said she has to go over his ledger and explain what he's earned. She'll be helpful; she's good at her sums and balances. And the cook, Tala, likes her.
Phaedre and Monima, her older sisters are on this trip too. They're older though, 14 and 11, and they giggle together, quieting whenever Illia joins them.
She's in the gally, and she's proud. She's done all the dishes, the tin cups and plates and stacked them neatly, just like Tala asked, when Pheadre and Father comes. Illia beams, she's done good. She needs to ask Father to put them up in the locked cupboard, she's not tall enough, but she doesn't even get to do so.
"Illia! What's this!” he scolds.
"The dishes?" she frowns.
"Everything is a mess! You impossible child!"
"But…" she wobbles, tears prickling at her eyes. She even wiped the counter.
Beside him, Pheadre smirks, her eyes flashing with her magic.
"You useless girl! Go to your bunk." Father grabs her, and pulls her out of the galley. He turns to Phaedre. "Phaedre, dear, I'm sorry to ask you to help, but can you fix this mess? You can ask Monima to help too."
"Of course, Father. I will be quick."
"But it's done, I did it!" Illia cries.
"Get lost, child. I have eyes."
Pheadre sticks her tongue out at Illia.
There is no mess, of course, but the one Pheadre made Father see. Father believes her, and not Illia.

— 19th of NOVEMBER 1539, birth of HALSHKA (Elyzaveta, Elżbieta) OSTROZKA (OSTROGSKA), "the Black Princess"
Born on feast day of St. Elizabeth, she was christened Elżbieta, Elyzaveta, or Halshka (under this latter name she came down into history). Halshka’s father was Prince Illia Ostrozkyi (Ostrogski), a weathly magnate and a member of ancient Ukrainian (Ruthenian) powerful aristocratic family, that traced their origins back to the semi-legendary prince Rurik. The representatives of this family held great offices in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland. At the royal court in Krakow, Illia Ostrozkyi met Beata Kościelecka, a notable beaty, and, according to the rumours, an illegitimate daughter of King Sigismund I of Poland. The couple was married in 1538, but their happiness did not last long: Illia was wounded during the tournament, and died soon after, in August 1539. In November Beata gave birth to their only child, a daughter.
According to her father’s will, Halshka stood to inherit half of his vast estates (including the cities of Ostroh and half of Rivne, along with many more), that were to be under her mother’s control until the heiress reached adulthood. Beata was also to keep control of her husband’s younger half brother’s Vasyl’s inheritance. The latter, who was to become powerful magnate and patron of religion and education under the name of Vasyl Kostyantyn Ostrozkyi (Ostrogski), soon took measures to retain the power of his estates his estates and rule them on his own. In his testament, Illia had also entrusted the care of his daughter to the King Sigismund, his wife, Queen Bona Sforza, and their son, Sigismund II Augustus.
Since Halshka was the recipient of such a magnificent inheritance, it soon became a matter of almost national importance to find her a suitable husband. Here, the interests of Lithuanian and Polish nobility also clashed. Suitors, eager for wealth and influence were not slow to appear. Among them were Dymitr Sanguszko, starost of Kaniv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr, Jan Mielecki, voivode of Podilia, and even, according to a legend, Dmytro Vyshnevetskyi, the famous founder of the first stronghold on the Khortytsya island. Halshka’s uncle, Vasyl Kostyantyn Ostrozkyi, who was gradually growing in power, supported the candidature of Dymitr Sanguszko, while both the King of Poland and Beata Kościelecka were against him. Sanguszko married Halshka all the same, but was soon sentenced to infamy (deprivation of noble status and threat of death sentence if he did not agree to annul his marriage), and murdered.
The next match for Halshka, proposed by the King Sigismund II, was Łukasz Górka, voivode of Poznań, Kalisz, Łęczyca and Brześć Kujawski. Beata Kościelecka had at first agreed to it but later changed her mind towards this marriage. Once again, her protests availed nothing: the wedding took place in the presence of the royal family in Warsaw. Halshka was told that her mother agreed to the marriage, but when she learned that this was not the case, Princess appealed to the royal council to annul it, and fled to Lviv with Beata.
Halshka’s third union was orchestrated by Beata. This time the groom was Prince Siemion Slutski, who, for the sake of conspiracy, had to meet his bride in a monastery disguised as beggar. The couple wed in 1559, but this marriage was also short-lived. Though neither Halshka nor Beata regarded Łukasz Górka as the Princess’s true husband, Górka himself was evidently of different opinion. He rushed to Lviv with arms and took Halshka captive. Prince Siemion Slutski died in 1560. Górka placed Halshka – virtually a prisoner – in the castle of Szamotuły, near Poznań, where she spent fourteen years until his death, isolated from the world. It is said that during her imprisonment Halshka was wearing the black mourning robes, which was why she got nicknamed “the Black Princess”.
After the death of Łukasz Górka in 1573, Halshka Ostozka was finally free and able to return to her homeland. During the reign of Henri Valois as the King of Poland, Halshka’s uncle, Vasyl Kostyantyn Ostrozkyi saw to it that the estates, left to her by her father, were returned to the Princess. The rumours that Halshka has got insane during her confinement in Szamotuły, do not seem to be true, as in her later years she actively participated in the works of patronage, attended court hearings, and financially supported a prominent educational institution – the Ostroh Academy, established by Prince Vasyl Kostyantyn Ostrozkyi. She died in 1582, leaving her estates to Vasyl Kostyantyn.
Halshka Ostozka was said to be a remarkable beauty, but sadly none of her life portraits survived. She is featured in famous painting Kazanie Skargi (Sermon of Piotr Skarga, painted in 1862-64) by Jan Matejko, where Halshka is depicted as a young richly dressed woman, covering her forehead with her hand in sad contemplation; she is placed a little behind Anna Jagiellonka, sister to Sigismund II, and once Queen of Poland.

Another renown portrait of Halshka Ostrozka was painted in 1996 by Ukrainian artist Yurii Nikitin, who did a research among the portraits of Ostrozky family. The portrait features a young serious woman with delicate features, dressed in strict black gown, adorned with rich jewels, and a white headwear that covers her hair and neck closely. In her hand she is holding a book – most likely a Holy Scripture.

I cant sleep so modern!linked universe hc time.
- Rusl buys Twilight a dna/ancestry thing for his 20th birthday.
- having been adopted into the Ordon family since the age of 15, the gift doesn't go over well at first.
-However after some deep conversations, Rusl explains that he promised Twilight birth parents that he'd do this if anything happened to them.
- Still Twilight procrastinates and after some cajoling from midna, finally does it a year later for his 21st birthday.
- at his party, a small family dinner at the Ordon home with Zelda, Illia and Midna in attendance, he lays the envelope on the table and says "before I open this, I want you all to know that what ever I find in here that you are all my family and I love you all."
- the first thing in the envelope is his genetic information, some basic stuff he already knows, some stuff he doesn't and somethings Zelda remarks he should see a doctor about. Apparently he's actually 65% Karariko as Renado predicted.
- the second thing is copies of his mother and father's Service Papers. Both served in the military; one as a murse and other as an officer. Both died of burns and smoke inhalation after rescuing several of their fellow tenants when the apartment above theirs caught fire.
- the third thing is a list of public records. His father was originally from Hateno and an only child save for a half brother who died a few years later. His mother, from kakariko, had two much younger siblings. Sheik and Link.
- while there are some records of a custody battle Shiek and Link were separated in the system after the death of their mother. There is an obituary written by Twilights mother with a picture of her and her three children. There's no further information about Link or Sheik.
- Until one last little page slips out, A wedding announcement from 10 years ago. Announcing the joyful union of Malon Lon and Link Kokiri. He's seen this before.
- in fact, Twilight sees this exact newspaper clipping framed in his old boss's office. He visits at least twice a month. He even jokes with him the it was the only proof the guy could actually smile.
- The Lon Lon Family owns their aptly named Lon Lon ranch but he reports to Malon's husband directly when it came to the horses. Especially Epona. He just saw the man last week, for crying out loud!
- He has an uncle. And he's already known the man for 5 years now. They thought it was just a funny coincidence that they had the same name.
- Illia says its fate. Zelda assures him that this can't be an accident. Midna presses his cell phone into his hands. Rusl tells him that its his decision and that they'll respect whatever that may be.
- He calls first, of course. He only works at the ranch on weekends these days anyway. It would be weird to just show up to his shift and just go "hey, do you know im your nephew?"
- he asks if Mr Kokiri would like to talk some time under the guise of needing some advice. Under all the grump and sarcasm, Kokiri really is a saint and easily says yes, asking if Twilight is okay since he sounds stressed.
- the next day, Twilight stumbles into his boss's office with all the papers in his hands.
- "if you need advice about school, you've come to the wrong place, kid."
"No...uh sir this ain't about school. Yet. But uh...do you recognize this picture?"
- he sets down the obituary with its photo of his mother, grandmother, Sheik and Link somewhere in Karariko. Kokiri studies it but otherwise seems clueless. "No, sorry, I dont."
- "Well according to these papers," Twilight sets them on the desk and spreads them out so he can see. "This is my mom. And this is you. Her brother. I think...I think you're my uncle."

The air in Coriolanus Snow's office hung heavy with the scent of authority, a blend of polished mahogany and the subtle fragrance of Capitol roses. The room itself was a testament to his ascendancy—ornate furniture, walls adorned with portraits of influential figures, including that of his father, and the sprawling view of the Capitol below from the towering windows.
Coriolanus sat behind his desk, fingertips pressed together in contemplation. The city sprawled before him, a chessboard of power, each move calculated and premeditated.
His piercing blue eyes, cold as the ice in his veins, scanned the landscape below. The serenity of the evening concealed the storm brewing within him. It was a symphony of power and regret, a melody only he could decipher.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of crimson and burnt orange across the sky, Coriolanus's gaze fixated on a figure below. A siren dressed in all black, a stark contrast to the opulence of the Capitol. Illia Furdoix, his wife.
She moved with ethereal grace, scarlet heels clicking against the pavement in a cadence that echoed in his mind. He could recognize its cadence with ease. Her dark hair, meticulously blown out, danced in the evening breeze. A new bag adorned her arm, a silent testament to his observation. When they were engaged, he caught her eyes dancing across the details as they passed through a boutique.
But it was the wedding set on her left hand that held his attention—the flawless oval diamond in a high setting, a public symbol of their union. Only he knew the intricate secret engraved within the bands—his name etched into hers, hers into his. A silent vow, a binding commitment, a show that ended without applause once the audience was no longer around.
On her lips was a smile. It was bright and gleaming as she spoke to the individual in front of her. A man. Another man. A man who was not him. A man who was not him, that made her smile so wide that her dimples made a rare appearance.
Her head flew back in laughter. A sound he was not sure he could recognize by memory. What man didn't recognize his wife's smile and sound of laughter? A man who could only recognize the sound of his wife's cries. Cries that he provoked with ease.
Coriolanus felt a pang of recognition, a revelation unfolding. The grandeur of the Capitol office faded into the background as the weight of his regrets settled upon his shoulders. The realization was a slow burn, a dawning awareness that he had been blind to the depth of his own failings.
He was a terrible husband.
Coriolanus was used to control. He was used to fixing problems immediately, hovering over every move until it was completed to his standard. But, this, his marriage; was the one thing he couldn't control. The potential of losing his marriage, of losing his wife, was great. What could he do to combat that?
No amount of gifts, money, or luxury would change her mind. He couldn't buy her forgiveness. Coriolanus was many things but he was far from a fool. None of that would work on her. He wouldn't be convinced that it would work on him if the roles were reversed.
If the roles were reversed, he pondered. How would he feel? Having been fed a lie by a gold spoon. Having dreams of perfect love and marriage shattered by the hand of the one who was supposed to the heart with care and compassion. Could he imagine her brushing past him as she walked through the door when all he wanted was to feel her lips against his? What about her dismissing his attempts at conversation so she could bury her head in paperwork? Or if she only responded to his touch to get a release and not to feel their souls coming together as one? If she'd bullied him the way he had done her.
His world would crumble.
Coriolanus sat back in his white chair, the cold veneer of authority crumbling alongside the fragments of his self-assuredness. The sun had surrendered to the night, casting long shadows that mirrored the looming darkness enveloping his conscience.
Below, the Capitol glittered with its false promises, a city built on illusions that mirrored his own life. Illia continued her conversation, oblivious to the turmoil she stirred within him. The man by her side, a mere spectator in this intricate dance of revelation, remained blissfully unaware of the storm brewing in the nation's most powerful man.
Coriolanus' eyes, once icy and calculating, betrayed a vulnerability not often seen. A husband's failures, a leader's regrets—all laid bare in the privacy of his office.
Amid the turmoil, a determination ignited within him. He was a political strategist. A machine that could not be shut down or destroyed, If he, the most powerful man in the nation, he could figure out how to control the fate of his marriage. A plan unfolded, a strategy born of desperation and remorse. He would win her back, not with gifts or grand gestures, but with a genuine reformation of character.
The clinking of Illia's scarlet heels against the pavement below echoed in his ears, a haunting reminder of the distance that had grown between them. He rose from his chair, the crimson hues of the city below mirroring the resolve in his eyes. His eyes followed her as she made her way to the Capitol building.
It was not long before he heard soft chatter outside the door. "Is my husband in his office?" Her voice was soft, low.
"Yes, Mrs. Snow." Peacekeepers scrambled to open the door for her. The two doors peeled open, revealing Illia Furdoix Snow in all her wonder. Coriolanus' heart increased in rate for the first time in a long time.
Once the doors closed, the pleasant smile on Illia's lips dropped to a straight line. Her fingers brushed the flyaway hairs away from her face, then gripped her purse. "I cooked. Then I came to the city to look for new towels for the bathroom. Wanted to let you know your plate will be in the oven whenever you get back. I assume I'll see you in the morning, so be safe tonight."
Illia's tone was emotionless and it made his nerves spike. Was this how she felt all this time?
Coriolanus cleared his throat and walked around his desk. His dress shoes kissed the marble floor as he made his way to her. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his perfectly tailored pants. "I, um, I planned on coming home tonight. And eating dinner with you."
Illia's head jerked back and her eyebrows raised. The shock was written over her features like a book. Her lips parted but words did not flow from them. She wasn't convinced.
"Illia," Coriolanus said lowly. "I owe you an apology. It's long overdue and it won't make up for what I've put you through, but I..."
Her gaze remained fixed on him, a mix of skepticism and curiosity playing in her eyes. Coriolanus swallowed the lump forming in his throat, acutely aware of the gravity of his words.
"I've taken you for granted, disregarded your feelings, and failed as a husband. "The man you've seen, the man who rarely came home and when he did, brought nothing but a cold presence—I don't want to be that man anymore."
Coriolanus paused, allowing his words to hang in the air. The vulnerability he displayed was unfamiliar, a crack in the stoic facade he wore so effortlessly. Illia's teeth caught her bottom lip as her eyes welled with tears. She began to rock back and forth on the balls of her feet in anxiousness. Was this truly a reality?
"You deserve more than a distant husband. You deserve someone who cherishes you, who respects you, and who appreciates the warmth and love you bring into our home," he continued, his gaze never leaving hers. "I want to be that person for you. I know you may not believe it right now, I know actions speak louder than words, but I am going to show you that I want to be and can be the man you dreamt of having as a husband...if you'll let me."
The weight of the moment hung in the air, the room silent except for the distant hum of the Capitol outside. Coriolanus awaited her response, his heart pounding with a vulnerability he hadn't felt in years.
For the first time, she cracked a smile in his presence. It was small- and only showed a few of her teeth, but she smiled. She smiled because of him. Illia smiled because of him.
"Thank you for your apology," she started. "Accountability is important when trying to change. I can't make any promises to you, Coriolanus, of how long it will take for me to trust you or for us to get to the point where we would like to be, but, I do believe you're being sincere. So, we'll take it a day at a time."
Coriolanus released the breath he was unaware he held tight within his chest. Maybe he did have control over something after all.
"Let's go home, Coriolanus." Home. The word resonated with a chance at redemption. Taking her hand, Coriolanus followed Illia out of the office, leaving the weight of the past behind and stepping into the uncertain but hopeful future.

MORE lore time :DDD apologize in advance this is kind of long :/
When Link died in Oradon Spring Ordona didn't bring him back, she resurrected the Triforce of Caurage(or whatever makes all these boys act and do heroy things) so the time between it gaining life and it getting turned into a wolf the Triforce of Caurage was the goodest most righteous good boy there was. Then when it was pulled into the twilight infected area(don't remember the proper name) and turned into a wolf the Devine Beast was born and overpowered it taking over Link's body and forcing it back to its nonsentient state, creating Wolf(Later known as Wolfie) and Beast. Wolf is the half that controls their wolf body, and Beast is the half that controls Link's body. They both possess and feel Link's memories and thoughts but Beast feels them more vividly as he has the hylian body. Even with a hylian body the Devine Beast is still a wolf and views the world through the eyes of one, he does not lie or get envious or power-hungry as people do but he also doesn't have the empathy or kindness of people, if you die you die, he will not help or harm or care about people unless he has a reason to, because of Link's memories he views Oradon Village(Manly Rusl, Uli, Colan, and unborn baby) as his pack so he cares about and loves them.(Later as his quest goes on he does befriend Link's friends from the game)
Because he views Oradon Village as his pack he sets off(TP Link's journey)
As he aided Midna in getting the fused shadow, then the mirror shards, the Divine Beast started to get slowly corrupted by the dark magic.
He and Midna also fall in love through the journey, and he thinks they are mates and are gonna stay together forever cause, wolves, they mate for life.
When Midna shatters the Mirror of Twilight she was originally going to leave Beast behind because she didn't want to take him away from his family. But in the last seconds of the portal closing she changed her mind cause she loved him and couldn't live without him, but because Beast took One Single Step Back out of shock when Midna told him he wasn't going with her she couldn't reach him in time and the portal closed separating them forever.
Also when the mirror shattered a ton of tiny pieces of the mirror embedded themself into Beast's skin, the only reason he didn't turn into a monster like Yeta did was because with all the dark magic already corrupting Link's body he was already technically a monster.
So Beast goes back to living Link's life, he's upfront about how he is not Link from the get-go but even tho the villagers are sad about the loss they welcome him home anyway. As Beast is not Link, Illia and him don't get 'back' together.
Over time the Fused Shadow and Mirror Shards 'corrupted' Link's body, merging it with Wolf's.
Beast grows wolf ears and tail, wolf eyes emerged below the hylian ones, his feet warped to be more wolf-like and he grew declaws, and wolf teeth grew in front of the hylian ones(they retract like Toothless's :D), he had more muscles in the skin around his lips so he can pull his lips back like a wolf, and he can open his mouth farther than a hylian can.
The people of Oradon Village didn't care or mind his new look or eating habits(He eats monsters), they were very receptive as it made the monster population in the area drop significantly. But hyrule is a very religious country, Zelda and the Sages included.
Once they got word that the Hero of Twilight was 'corrupted' by dark magic Zelda sent soldiers to retrieve him, they would attempt to remove the dark magic, and if they couldn't it would be best to keep him close(Keep your enemies close and all that). They couldn't remove the magic, so they conveniently chose to inform Beast that the Hero of Hyrule served the Queen and that he should stay in Castle Town to better fulfill that role.
Originally Beast was allowed to visit his home and travel the region, but the Sages managed to convince Zelda and the people that he was a 'religious matter' and would be better cared for under their supervision, they then barred him from leaving the castle. Cut off from his food supply and anyone who would listen, Beast began to starve.
After not having any monsters to eat for quite a while Beast collapsed into madness for a short time and Wolf ate someone. When Zelda and the Sages found him they were horrified, Zelda wanted to figure out why he had done this(legit no one listened when he said that he needed to eat monsters). But because he was under the care of the Sages they had the final say and locked him in the deepest part of Hyrule Castle's prison, only being taken out a few times to show proof of life and hyrules might.

Dark was created by Hylia to serve as a physical representation of the dark and evil parts of the heroes, he would fight them and then they would win and accept their dark parts and it would make them better heroes (in theory)
When Dark inevitably failed in this task(The heroes refused to acknowledge their darker sides) Hylian would cast him back into the void, leaving him in pain as his body slowly healed itself until she needed him to fight again.
He's also fully conscious between the fights, unable to do anything for hundreds to thousands of years waiting for the goddess to bring him to the realm of light so he can get his ass handed to him again.
Dark has fought almost all of the heroes and failed his mission every time. When he was pulled out of the void to fight Beast he was shocked to find someone who already living with his dark parts and didn’t need Dark’s aid at all(He was sent around the time Dark Link appeared in the manga)
This piqued Dark’s interest, this was the first hero to do this(while they were alive at least, Shade figured it out but that was like 300 years after he died) so Dark watches Beast's journey and doesn’t go back to or inform Hylian of what’s happening, at this point he toying with the idea of rebelling.
So when Beast was locked away, after a while Dark broke him out, he wanted to get to know this strange hero and he couldn’t do that if he was in prison(he 100% did not have a crush on him that would be CRAZY)
Because the Sages never check on Beast he can go back to Oradon Village without fear of them dragging him back, a least for a while, and when he learns that Dark doesn’t have a home or anywhere to go he invites him to go with him, and Dark accepts(Dark is fully rebelling against Hylia now, having no intentions of going back or serving her again)
Dark lives with Beast and helps him at the ranch, and over time(a couple of months or so) they fall in love(And I, mean really in love they're down bad)
Around this time Dark was thinking about getting some revenge and Beast was more or less on board, the people of hyrule had done nothing but harm him, and Hylia had done nothing period. But they were both happy and content with their lives and swept the thought under the rug pretty quick.
Hylia eventually catches on that Dark had been lying to her and wasn't doing his job so she snatches him up in the night and casts him into the deepest part of the void where the remnants of Demise's army is locked away.
(like the story of Prometheus)Dark was torn apart by the monsters only for his body to heal so they could do it again.
(also side note, time in the void moves differently so Dark gets tortured for at least a hundred years while only a couple of months pass for Beast)
now consumed by rage and hell-bent on getting back at Hylia Dark breaks out of his prison and takes some of the monster's essence with him to form his army of black-blooded monsters.
because Dark was wreaking havoc across time, Hylia called the chain together and they recruited Beast. Beast doesn't really care, but he's a noble creature and knows that killing tons of people isn't good so he agrees to help the chain(he knows that Dark is causing this BTW)
Random tidbits:
Beast can make himself look like a normal hylian and does so around the chain because he doesn't want the ✨drama✨.
The chain thinks that Beast is just a normal hylian and knows nothing about him being a monster, wanted by hyrule, or that he's not Link, he is not lying to them about this he just doesn't feel the need to correct them.
Four was the closest(living) hero to accepting his dark side because of the colors and Shadow.
Sky is the farthest from accepting his dark side(I don't even know if he fights dark just go with it :P
this song is very Beast and Dark core, it just so them <3 just ignore the first like half of the song lol
