Irondad fic ideas #154
CW: this one's pretty gruesome. read at your own risk
Peter is a young child who's been kidnapped. His parents and/or his aunt and uncle were killed and he was taken. Along with a bunch of other little kids, he's been held captive and experimented on.
When the Avengers suddenly bust the kidnapping operation, the kidnappers try at the last second to destroy their research. They gas the small room where the kids are being held.
It's Iron Man who ends up blasting through. What he finds is horrifying. All but one of the children are dead.
The one who's left is just sitting among the bodies, crying, shocked, terrified. Iron Man carries him out of there, then once they're safe from the gas Tony steps out of the suit to comfort the kid while he's given oxygen.
Little 5-year-old Peter Parker imprints on his savior hard.
He just went through an unimaginable amount of trauma, then Iron Man burst through like an avenging angel. This is the first time he's ever felt protected in his memory. Tony holds the crying kid, and the kid can tolerate no one else near him.
This becomes a slight problem when they get back to base. But Tony can't find it in him to let SHIELD take the kid away, let them strip him of this one tiny bit of comfort. He keeps seeing all those other kids when he closes his eyes.
This one needs him right now. And if "right now" eventually becomes "this is my son," well. Who could've predicted that.

I’m looking for fanfics where Peter is Tony’s biological child and he goes missing/gets kidnapped as a young child. He is raised by someone else and doesn’t know he’s Tony’s son. I’ve already read Lost Boy and Things I Almost Remember on archive of our own and I wanted to find stories with a similar plot.
Tumblr media
WHEW! It’s kind of a long list, but we did our best finding several fics that feature both BioDad!Tony and Peter being kidnapped at a very young age. ENJOY!!
PETER IS TONY’S SON BUT THEY WERE SEPARATED WHEN PETER WAS A CHILD REC LIST
Lost Boy by winterda
Isaac Stark disappeared from a crowded park a few months shy of his third birthday. There were never any signs of him, and no arrest were ever made in connection to the case. It was as if the toddler had simply vanished off the face of the earth. Twelve years later, Peter Parker has a really bad day, which only get worse when his prints are put through the system.
Things I Almost Remember by IcedAquarius @icedaquarius31
Peter's past is not as it appears. It all starts one day with a genetics project and slowly spirals into something Peter never could have imagined.
hydra's not a home by tempestaurora @tempestaurora
At 6 years old, the son of Tony and Pepper Stark, Peter, is kidnapped, never to be seen again. Or, so they thought. Ten years later, while raiding a HYDRA base, the Avengers come across a new, enhanced individual, working for the enemy: in black spandex, with a tendency to stick to walls and shoot webs from his wrists, the Black Spider is a pain in the ass in more ways than one.
If They Knew All About You by MsHermia
Tony Stark had lost his son when he was only 2 years old, stolen away in broad daylight with nobody the wiser of what exactly happened. Years later, Tony has just made it through the disaster with Ultron. He is trying to keep himself and the team together but relationships are strained and tempers are running high. Then a random turn of events leads to his path crossing with that of a particular vigilante. They are strangers to each other, or so they think.
Peter Parker is on top of the world. After a few shitty years, losing his parents and then losing his Uncle, things are finally looking up. Sure he lives in a crappy little apartment with his Aunt but he might have just found his mission in life.
------
This is an AU story obvious by some of the tags. I'm starting out a few weeks after Age of Ultron took place. Civil War will be a thing. Other than that I'm not too concerned about sticking to every canon detail and storyline.
Finding Their Way Home by ElliahRose
Peter Benjamin-Edward Stark went missing on a Tuesday. For months the entirety of the New York police department, as well as anyone else the Starks could convince to join, searched for the tot. He was only three when he was taken and for four months, two weeks, and four days, Tony Stark and Pepper Stark (nee Potts) worried and fretted over their beloved child.
Peter Benjamin-Edward Stark was murdered on a Friday. A ransom call gone wrong spelt the end of the child’s life. The world grieved as the kidnappers gleefully told the devastated parents they’d find his body in the morning.
They never did.
Twelve years passed and the family was still grieving, and Tony Stark worked tirelessly to find his only child’s killer and gain justice for his son.
Meanwhile Peter Parker was having literally the worst day ever. He just wanted to help make the world a better place, but instead he got stabbed. That's just his luck, isn't it?
missing, presumed dead by hailingstars @hailing-stars
They hadn’t had a funeral for Peter.
There hadn’t been a casket or a service inside a church.
There had been, before Tony decided in his heart that Peter was gone, candlelight vigils and pleas on the media for whoever had taken him to bring him home. Neither of those did any good. Neither of those brought Peter home.

I told you to be better (and you became the best) by HaruK
Tony was blessed with a healthy baby boy, and for once in his life, was actually happy. Until everything derailed and he had to send his son away to keep him safe, because those related to the Stark family, one of the worlds biggest and most targeted families in the black market, always end up hurt. With a new name and identity that Tony himself doesn't know, the young baby was wiped off the map, his existence erased, never to be heard of again. . Years later, Anti-hero Iron Man meets a local superhero vigilante and Tony becomes surprisingly close with young Peter Parker.

When Tony sees the blurry, grey scale photograph of someone he thought he had lost years ago, he follows the trail to a newspaper company, to a hospital, to an adoption agency, to the police station and finally to May Parker's house.

Peter Stark went missing when he was four years old.
Eleven years later, he’s found.
Only now he’s Peter Parker by day, Spider-Man by night, and he doesn’t like the idea that his entire life is a lie.
Rise from the Ashes; Just to See You Again by Mintstream @iwritedumbshit
Tony Stark didn't expect Mary Fitzpatrick, or the news she delivered. He didn't expect that he would become a father, or that he would actually enjoy it. He didn't expect Penny to love him just as fiercely as he did her.
He didn't expect to lose her so soon.
In the wake of the loss of his daughter he tried--tried to do right by her. He became Iron Man, he was an Avenger, he protected his world because he couldn't protect his daughter, but through it all, he hoped to be reunited with his daughter.
He didn't expect to be alive when he was.
AKA the biological daughter kidnapping AU no one asked for. Hope you read, and hope you enjoy.
Updates on Saturdays.

AU – Peter Stark was kidnapped when he was just three years old. Tony and Pepper never stopped looking for their boy. Years later, Peter finds his way back home.
A Change In What We Knew by Imissyoutoo @imissyoutoo
Tony scoured the floor behind Steve as though his one-year-old son had somehow crawled to him, before finally, he looked up. The realisation dawned on him like an eclipse; the decaying darkness hiding the sun. Hiding his son. Because his boy wasn't there.
”Where is he? Steve? Where's my son Rogers?!” At only a year old, Tony Stark’s son is taken, leaving him shattered. Little does he know, his journey to find what is lost only begins twelve years later. In the most unlikely of places, and all because of two words.

Peter Stark was kidnapped. That was all anyone knew. He vanished into thin air, no traces left behind, when he was eight years old.
Six years later, on one of the final raids on the HYDRA bases, they find an enhanced assassin, with super strength and the ability to climb walls. No one imagined that it would be Peter. Least of all Tony.
With no memory and brainwashed by HYDRA, Peter Stark goes home and tries to recover.

Return to me, the one I love so endlessly by SuperHeroTiger @superherotiger
James Edwin Stark was born on the 10th of August 2001, and for the first time in his life, Tony Stark cried tears of joy.
All the fears, all the dread that had once consumed his soul washed away with a single look at the baby’s gentle features, so familiar and yet so distinctly unique at the same time. Tony made many promises that day. Promises to love his son, to protect him, to always be there for him.
On the 10th of August 2002, James Edwin Stark was stolen in the middle of the night, and his father’s world came crashing down. Shattered and alone, Tony whispered the same promise he’d made to his son the day that he was born.
‘…My love for you is endless…’
Fourteen years later, hidden away from the world in a forest of pine, Peter Beck would dream of a day he might get to see the towering city of New York. Just A Typo (9/?)
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Hacker!Reader
Summary: It was a simple challenge between a very competitive group of friends. A challenge that ended very differently than anticipated.
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2171
A/N: Sorry to anyone who was tagged earlier and found nothing. I have no clue what happened but here is part 9 finally!
Tumblr media
Left. Another left. Left again. Ooo, a right this time. Straight on for a bit. And another left. It wasn’t long before I began to get dizzy. Every corridor looked the exact same and I started to wonder if Bucky was just guessing with every turn.
Lucky for us, we had yet to bump into anymore of my kidnappers. Bucky had informed me while we were running that it had been Hydra who took me, this building being a lesser-known base of theirs.
I glanced at Bucky, amazed at how he wasn’t even the slightest bit out of breath. He looked like a male model. I had no idea how he did it. I was panting like a dog and sweating like a pig. The sweat served only to glue my hair to my forehead. My legs were burning, each step causing a fresh wave of pain through my entire body. I was regretting every time I ignored Angie when she asked if I wanted to go to the gym. I'd definitely have to go from now on, this was embarrassing.
We took a final right-hand turn and I noticed the large double doors up ahead. We burst through them, Bucky still holding his gun up as we ran, just in case.
“Oh! Fresh air! Sunlight! How I missed you!” I exclaimed, my arms outstretched, inhaling deeply.
When I reopened my eyes (which I hadn’t realised I closed in the first place), Bucky was staring at me incredulously. I simply shrugged my shoulders at him and we carried on.
I was grateful for the lack of Hydra soldiers we had come across as we made our way towards the Quinjet which they had landed a little away from the base.
I could only imagine how red my face was when we finally reached it. The ramp was down already so I dropped to my hands and knees and began crawling the rest of the way into the Quinjet. Bucky chuckled quietly to himself.
“You doing alright?”
Instead of lifting myself into a seat, I resorted to just lying against it on the floor. Standing up was too much of an effort. “Oh yeah, I'm great. I just don’t run. It's not really my thing,“ I replied, looking around at the empty space surrounding us. “Where’s everyone else?”
He handed me a bottle of water as he sat on the chair next to the one I was leaning against. I hadn’t realised how parched I was, and the bottle was empty within seconds. Bucky had a second one beside him, passing it to me without me needing to ask.
“They're inside, drawing Hydra away from you. My job was to get you out safely, everyone else was to clear a pathway for us. They should be out soon, I already told them I've got you out, doll.”
I rested my head against his thigh subconsciously while we waited for the others. We sat there in silence, simply enjoying each other’s company. I was just glad to be out of that prison. It was comforting to know there was someone non-threatening beside me. Well, non-threatening to me at least.
I was struggling to keep my eyes open when the rest of the team finally got on board. It was impossible to fall asleep with the flurry of greetings I got. Between the gentle claps on the shoulder and the soft hugs, accompanied with an equally soft grin, I found myself nearly forgetting the situation I had been in only moments ago.
What surprised me was Natasha giving me a nod and small smile. I almost choked on my third bottle of water; Bucky’s concerned look immediately stopping the coughing. When I finally looked back at her, she had already moved on, speaking to Clint about something.
Wanda was sitting on my other side, playing with my hair. It was such a caring act that I couldn’t help but begin to drift off once again. The Quinjet was surprisingly quiet, especially considering just how many people were on board. They kept their conversations low, but as I fell asleep, I still managed to pick up on few sentences. Mainly about my well-being, but I was too tired to bother getting involved, Bucky’s thigh acting as a cosy pillow.
~~~~~
“Y/N, we’re back at the tower.”
I faintly recognised Bucky’s low tone speaking to me. Opening my eyes slowly, I scanned the Quinjet and noticed it had been emptied of both people and equipment. Anything the team had taken from the Hydra base had been removed and brought inside already. Bucky must have stayed and allowed me to sleep for as long as possible. I didn’t know how to thank him for the gesture. All I could do was nod and smile at him.
Still drowsy from my great nap, he held my arm as we walked inside. We immediately went to the doctors in the tower, much to my chagrin. Bucky stayed with me, joking that he was my ‘designated babysitter’ now. As much as I appreciated the thought, I couldn’t help but wish I was alone when the doctor began checking my arms. It took Bucky exactly three seconds to notice the bruises.
“What the hell are those?” He demanded. He stood beside me, inspecting my arm closely. I avoided his eyes.
“Umm… apparently a bit of electrocution can cause bruises. Who’d have thought it, right?” He completely ignored the awkward response I gave and asked if it hurt at all. I shook my head, telling him I hadn’t even seen them until about ten minutes beforehand.
The doctor kicked Bucky out shortly after that, claiming that the rest of her examinations would need to be carried out in private. When he offered to wait for me outside, I declined. “Go ahead. I'm sure you’ve got some briefing to be at. I'll be okay. I know my way around the tower.”
It took longer than I expected to convince him I'd be fine. When he finally agreed to leave, the doctor turned to me with a smile.
“You know, he’s always been very reserved around everyone, but he seems to like you a lot.”
I scratched the back of my neck and laughed with embarrassment.
“Bucky? Nah, he… he doesn’t think of me like that.”
She chuckled. “If you say so.”
~~~~~
She let me go when she eventually decided she was satisfied with my condition, informing me that the bruises on my arm were the worst of the damage and they would fade after a week. She stated that I was lucky that I didn’t come back in a worse shape, considering what Hydra tended to do to their victims.
I wandered through the halls, not having anywhere I needed, or wanted, to be in that moment. It was quieter than I expected, but it was fairly late. The great thing about Tony was that he never overworked his employees, he’d much rather overwork himself. That was also one of the worst things about Tony. Pepper had thanked me on many occasions for giving him an excuse to take a break. Everyone else in the tower wasn’t much better. If they weren’t on a mission, they were either training for the next one or writing up reports on the last. I couldn’t remember the last time they had all even watched a movie together, and I made a mental note to myself to force them to the cinema soon.
As I strolled past one of the many offices, I heard a screech behind me. Whipping around instantly, I was greeted with the sight of a blur moving towards me at full speed. It was a fairly long corridor, so I had time to decide whether the blur was dangerous and I should run, or whether I was better off just giving into my curiosity and seeing what it was.
The blur was still coming towards me quickly, persistent in emitting some kind of scream. It was a few seconds later when I realised that scream was my name and that blur vaguely looked like my lunatic friend.
“Y/N!”
“Becca, wait- oof!”
I collapsed onto the ground under the weight of Becca throwing herself on top of me.
“You gotta stop doing that to me,” I grunted, hugging her while simultaneously trying to get her off me.
“Then stop getting yourself into life-threatening situations, you doof,” she exclaimed, her grip on me only tightening further. I gasped dramatically for air, completely giving up on attempting to move. My vision darkened and for the briefest moment I thought that Becca had finally cut off my air supply entirely. When that darkened view began to grin at me, I realised it was Angie standing above us, blocking out the lights overhead and smiling widely. My joy at seeing vanished immediately when I noticed the smallest glint of mischief in her eyes.
“Don’t you dare.”
She didn’t reply. All she did was spread her arms wide fling herself on top of us.
Both of my idiotic friends ignored my groans of pain and simply lay on me, refusing to move and completely silent. I huffed at the pair and looked down. Becca’s face was buried against me. She hadn’t spoken for a whole three minutes and I was beginning to get worried.
“Alright alright, I missed you both too.”
“That’s all we wanted to hear, y’know,” Becca’s muffled voice spoke out. They both decided to finally get up, each giving me a hand up. Once I was standing, they tightened their grip on my hands, both of them still smiling at me.
“Please knock it off. Neither of you have ever smiled for this long and you're freaking me out. You're going to break your face if you don’t stop.”
“Is it really so bad that we’re glad you're still alive and whipping out sarcastic comments,” Angie laughed, finally releasing her grip on my hand. Becca didn’t do the same. That woman had the grip of a python.
Seconds later, footsteps came thundering down the corridor and we turned to see Sam approach us.
“Ah… I came to warn you about your friends, but damn! You two are fast!” He said between laboured breaths.
“You good there?” I asked him, taking in his flushed appearance.
“Yeah, yeah, I'm good. I’m just not great with cardio.”
“Thank God I'm not the only one,” I mumbled, Angie nodding in agreement. She, of all people, knew how unfit I was. After two flights of stairs I'd be trying to roll myself the rest of the way.
Sam laughed in reply. “That’s why I normally just fly everywhere. Gotta be smart about these kinds of things,” he said, giving me a pointed look.
~~~~~
Our party of four agreed to go for a stroll through the tower together. Well, I suggested it. Becca and Angie would not be letting me out of their sight for the foreseeable future, and Sam was just there for the laughs. It was refreshing for him to be around normal people, or as close to normal he could get in his crazy world.
Steve and Tony found our group in the kitchen. Sam was making us a gourmet meal that consisted of leftover Chinese food and some questionable brownies.
“Wanda tried to remake your brownies, but I think she forgot some important ingredients. Like flavour,” he had explained.
“Something smells… inedible,” Tony said as a greeting. Sam began arguing with him, claiming there was nothing wrong with the food. Steve stood by Tony, a small smile on his face. I noticed he was glancing at me every so often, and each time he did, his smile would falter the slightest bit.
“Alright, just spit it out Steve,” I said to him, effectively stopping everyone else’s conversation and drawing their attention to us.
Steve looked at Tony for help, who only gestured towards me, silently telling him to go ahead. He took a deep breath and I could smell the apology I was about to get for whatever inconvenience was soon to happen.
“The team has been talking,” he started, and I noticed he was using his ‘Captains’ voice’, which he only ever used when he was delivering bad news. “And we all agreed that for the next while, you would be safer living here with us. We know it's not ideal, there's a lot of people here already, but it's for your own safety.”
There was a little pause before I decided to respond. “I don’t really have a choice in this, do I.”
He shook his head, Sam giving me a playful pat on the back, promising I at least won't hate it.
“On the bright side, Nat has offered to train you so you can defend yourself next time.”
My eyes widened. Each word he spoke caused a spark of panic inside me and I couldn’t stop my voice from rising several octaves.
“Nat? But she hates- what do you mean ‘next time’?”
Y/n had just gotten off her morning shift at the diner she worked at that was just down the street from her complex. It was now mid afternoon as she walked up the steps to her floor, she wished that her complex’s owner wasn’t so cheap to fix the elevator that had been broken for close to a year now. Sweeping away the loose strands that fell from her bun to the side, she finally ascended the seventh floor. Beginning to fumble inside her purse to find her keys that would let her inside her little home, head down while she walked, in her peripheral vision she could see someone standing in front of her neighbor’s door.
Pulling the bundle of keys from their spot in her leather purse, she stood in front of her door while looking for the certain rusty golden key. Jumbling the keys together she could hear the man knock on her neighbor’s door as he let out a huff of annoyance. Looking up to look at the chipped paint on her wooden door as the key slid into the slot, twisting it and hearing the soft click that told her she could walk in without bumping face first into the door.
Before she could step through, the man’s gentle voice came to her ears, “Excuse me, ma’am?”
Y/n’s head turned to look at the tall blond man, cocking her head slightly with a soft expression on her face, “Yes?” She asked politely.
The blond man was looking up at the door before he turned to look her way, “Do you know where the man that lives here is?” He asked genially curious.
Eyebrows furrowing as she thought long and hard before she shook her head, “I’m sorry but I don’t.” Letting out a deep sigh before she spoke again,”It might be awhile before he shows up again but if you like, I can tell him that you showed up and were looking for him.”
The man nodded, “I will like that very much ma’am.” He began to turn from her to walk away.
“Wait!” Body twisting around to look at her, “I didn’t get your name.”
Head tilting down as he let out a short laugh, “Oh yeah… Just tell him Steve was here.” Sending a curt nod her way as he left the building.
Once the man was out of sight, Y/n walked into her apartment for a much needed night of relaxation.
                                     Later That Night.
 Y/n had fallen asleep on the couch a couple of hours ago, she had heard her neighbor walk into his apartment around midnight but thought it would be best to him about that Steve guy in the morning. It was around three in the morning when she jolted up as she heard screaming coming from the other side of the wall. She instantly knew it was James, this had become a continuous occurrence ever since he moved in. The first time it happened, it had frightened her to death that she had believed that he was being murdered but that wasn’t the case at all.
There were nights where it didn’t happen and he actually got a good night’s rest but there were times where he didn’t get any sleep at all which worried her most. Y/n always ran towards his door, banging on it as hard as she could to wake him up from his night terrors. He always told her that she didn’t need to but nonetheless she insisted for it was in her nature to care for others especially since she was going to college to become a nurse.
Standing in front of his door, fist banging rapidly against it, the screaming and whimpering had finally stopped. Stepping away from the door as she heard loud heavy footsteps come towards her, it opened up to show a disheveled bulk of a man that was covered in a sheen of sweat. Stepping to the side and opening the door wider for Y/n, he let her in while she walked past him she sent him a small sweet smile.
Going straight for the couch to sit on the edge, looking around his bare apartment while she waited for him to join her, Y/n then tucked a piece of h/c hair behind her ear. A thump came to the left side and before she knew it, his head was resting atop of her thigh, his arms curling around her legs, scooting back to get more comfortable, her fingers began to comb through his hair to calm him.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Sweetly asking.
“No,” he huskily replied.
Continuing to comb her fingers through his slightly greasy dark locks, she remembered the encounter she had earlier yesterday, “A man named Steve came by looking for you yesterday.”
“Steve?”
“Yeah, he didn’t say much, just was looking for you,” replying nonchalantly to how he repeated back his name to her.
Nodding with his face furrowing down, going into deep thought as he tried to remember what he could want. James could only come up with that Steve wanted to persist him even more with joining the team. If he did, that meant leaving you and he had gotten quite close to you for you were the only one who could calm the terrors that faced him nightly. You were the one thing in his life that became constant and he didn’t want to lose that, after all, you made him feel normal again. His eyes began to drift close as your humming began, it was just a random tune but it was one that he learned to love.
It was around eleven when Y/n had awoken and James was already gone.  She had to be at the diner in about an hour for her shift, she hated working there but it was the only job that worked with her schedule as she went to college for nursing.
The next couple of days were the same as usual; the only difference was that James screams hadn’t woke her up. She had soon realized he went on one of his long trips again, ones that would last a couple of days to weeks. At one point, one of his trips had lasted more than month which made her worry sick until he had returned and explained he had gone a business trip that went on an unexpected turn.
She didn’t know about his alter ego which he was grateful for but a nagging feeling was always at the back of his head. He wanted to get close to you but was afraid that the trigger words would one day pop up and cause the Winter Soldier to be released. And he didn’t want that one bit. Y/n believed that he was a normal man, living a normal life. She didn’t even know that he had a metal arm since Tony gave him a piece of technology that would cloak it and make it look like a regular fleshed arm. But like always, nothing ends the way you want it.
                                     A Week Later.
 Y/n was walking down the street in her classic blue diner dress, her head down as she headed for her home. She was just about to cross the street when a black van zoomed up in front of her. Letting out a loud gasp, her bag and phone falling to floor while the door slid opened, men in dark clothing and black masks jumping out, she began to back up to run away. But it was too late they were already grabbing her but she wasn’t going down without a fight.
Jutting her elbow backwards to hit one of the men in the face, kicking her legs out in front of her, she quickly got out of their hold. She heard another loud screeching of tires with loud heavy footsteps following. Turning about to run, she got a couple of feet away before a black leathered hand reached out and yanked at her hair, shoving her down to the ground with her head clunking harshly against the concrete.
Black spots filled her vision as loud groans fell from her lips, Y/n could feel blood stream slowly down her face. Loud screams of pains and grunts filled her ears as her vision went completely black. Before she went completely unconscious, she heard yelling of her name, ones pleading with her to stay awake. But she couldn’t do what they asked of her.
Three hours had passed by until you began to wake up; Steve and Bucky were outside your room looking through the glass. Steve occasionally sent glances towards him, he knew that he had gotten close to you that you were someone special in his life. Steve didn’t even really know about you until you had been attacked. Bucky was mad at himself, he shouldn’t of let himself get so attached especially with Hydra still after him because now here you were at the compound, passed out because of them and him.
He didn’t know how they knew about you or how close the two of you were but they did. It scared him to death because if they could figure out one simple thing, what was stopping them from finding out or doing more. Bucky was at war with himself, not knowing if he should let you go or keep you in his life and always have the risk factor. He loves you too much to see you walk out of his life but it might end up like that once you knew the truth.
Once the doctors left your room, Steve and Bucky soon walked in. Y/n looked at them confusingly as both of them came to stand by her.
“How are you feeling doll?” Bucky quietly asked.
“Fine but confused as why the hell I’m here and where I am,” she said with only a blank stare towards the two of them.
Steve swallowed before he answered your question, “Well you were attacked on the streets but we intervened and brought you here to the compound.” Giving you a curt nod.
“But there’s more,” Looking from the short blond hair man to James, “There has to be, they weren’t your regular kidnappers, not with how they dressed and looked.”
The two men shared a look between one another before Bucky nodded his head as he let out a deep sigh. Steve gave you a small smile and turned to Bucky, giving him a slight pat on his shoulder as he walked past him and out of the room. Bucky grabbed the chair that sat in the corner of the room and situated it right by you.
Sitting down with his hand combing through his dark locks, he looked up to you with a sad look, eyebrows furrowing, “Everything’s okay, right James?”
Shaking his head, looking out the window with his lips pressed in a firm line, slowly turning back to you, “No it’s not doll, I got a lot of explaining to do,” he whispered out with sadness and regret.
Y/n looked at his face, she could see the fear behind his eyes as they looked at one another, “Well whatever it is, I’m sure everything will end up being fine,” she kindly said, giving him her best smile.
Bucky nodded his head with his own small smile and quickly began to explain everything. He told you of his time at Hydra to the Civil War and to now. You listened intently, at first you were shocked and afraid when you learned of his true identity but that sound vanished when he explained everything else. None of it was his fault and you just wanted to scream at him, tell him that you didn’t blame him, that it really wasn’t him. He may have done the action but that didn’t mean he had control of doing it.
It had taken close to over two hours to tell you everything and his face looked defeated more than you had ever seen it. Now was the time to learn of the truth, if you were going or staying. Bucky hoped you would choose to stay but he knew that would be a long shot with his past and what he’s done. But he could only hope.
His head was done when he finished speaking; you were looking at him with tears brimming in your e/c eyes, and then you silently told him, “Look at me.”
At first he wouldn’t but after much coaxing, he finally did, his own eyes were holding back tears as he looked at you, he knew that this was going to end the way he wanted. Looking back down, not being able to meet your eyes, you let out a low sigh.
“Listen, if you don’t want to see me anymore I get it, I’ll leave you alone. I don’t want to put your life at risk,” he lowly whispered out.
Rolling her eyes while letting out an annoyed sigh, “I’m not leaving you,” she said determinedly. Bucky looked up at you with wide eyes, mouth opening to reply but you gave him a look and your hand came up to stop him, “I don’t blame you; I blame them. They’re the ones who put you through your pain and suffering, you had no choice in the matter, and you didn’t have any free will. But now you do.” Letting out a small sigh, “You shouldn’t blame the actions that you couldn’t have stopped,” whispering out to him.
Bucky looked at her, his expression now soft as he looked towards her, gently leaning up, he pressed a kiss to your forehead. Y/n then patted the spot next to her on the bed, “Now get up here, it looks like you need some rest,” she softly said.
Scooting over as Bucky slowly came up and gently laid beside her, this time Bucky held her instead of her holding him. A warmth feeling went through the both of them as they laid there, listening to one another’s breathing. It looks like he was going to get the happy ending that he always wanted with the girl that made him feel normal again.
