just so enthused that we’re gonna have a whole repeat of white people losing their minds and cooing over their precious white queen “redeeming” herself from her malicious violent racism despite multiple poc speaking out on how poorly written it is and how it prioritizes white comfort over minorities.
it already took YEARS for white people in this fandom to accept the original issues with Weiss’ racism & the WF problem as a whole (many still don’t), and now IQ has just brought them out of the woodworks to deny her racism and claim it’s just the nightmare grimm and it’s all totally not her fault guys!! they essentially strip her of personal accountability so she can be the perfect victim that needs to be “saved” from her own bigotry.
yes the nightmare is is exacerbating her fears and portraying faunus accordingly but that is still because of her own personal ingrained beliefs. it is using what is there to do this to her. it is on weiss and no one else to deconstruct and reevaluate her own bigotry.
i’m sick of it. i am so sick of people prioritizing the racist’s feelings over the actual minorities being harmed. they don’t care about racism or poc and their struggles, they just want their white queen to be the ideal damsel even if it involves silencing poc when they criticize the racism within this writing.

Been thinking a lot about the 141 boys and their piercings. This is just a quick little thing
cw: poly 141, gn!reader, clit and tits specified but that's it, genital piercings, breeding mention, lots of precum (this one is a little sticky), aftercare mentioned, let me know if I missed anything!
Ghost, undeniably, with his Jacob's ladder, 7 rungs. He'll use it to measure and tease each of you about how much of him you're able to take. He loves seeing the pride and hunger that each rung inspires, making it solely about you as the receiver. It's quite an experience every time, one he'll recreate as many times as asked. But if you ask Ghost, his favorite use of it is working each of you up without penetration. He'll still your hips as he grinds against you until you're drenched and every drag of his cock fills the room with squelching. He'll rut against the boys from base to tip until they are coated with their own precum. Gaz will whimper every time Ghost presses against his frenulum and the sound alone has the rest of you moaning.
Pretty boy Gaz himself has 2 that he can hide, a lovely little tongue piercing and a guiche. The boy loves to give and to get, and really, who can blame him. He loves the fact that he can keep both mostly hidden and then flash them at all of you to tempt you into bed. And it's never not worked. The boys are never as breathless as they are every time he presses the bead on his tongue into their slits. It's lead to plenty of sounding sessions, but nothing hits as hard as when Gaz has his lips wrapped around their tips, bead nestled in them, and he lets out a deep, prolonged hum. And in return, you'll all take advantage of that guiche. You'll reach down as you ride him, past those incredibly sensitive balls of his, and press and flick lightly at the hoop. It'll have the most sinful sounds coming from his mouth and have his hips stutter.
Soap has his nipples done, a shiny silver barbell through each, of course. His nipples were already sensitive before the piercings, but now a single flick at them will have him hard in half a second. You've all been known to take on the challenge of making Soap cum by just playing with his nipples. Those nights will end with him drooling and covered in copious amounts of his own cum, because a single time is not enough for any of you. And while it leaves him sensitive for days, he lives for those sessions. Soap will also use them to subtly and secretly work the boys up during the day. He'll drop by to check in on them and come close as if he's got something important to tell them, but he'll use the moment to rub his nipple against theirs. He'll keep at it until they reach for him, sprinting away before they can grab hold. And with you, he'll pin you down and hold your tits to give you the exact same treatment, only without any clothes acting as barriers, ignoring the rest of your body, not stopping until you're begging prettily. Never you mind that he's also panting by the time you do so.
And Price, beautiful, wonderful Price. He has his nipples pierced, too, only he's got heavy silver hoops in them. He's also got a Prince Albert, which he will use on all of you without an ounce of hesitation. Nights with him will have each and every single one of you crying with pleasure. He'll gladly go at Gaz' frenulum with it, having him cumming just from frotting. He'll use it to milk Ghost and Soap's prostates, making them go for round after round after round until they run dry. And he'll use it to abuse your clit until you're begging him to fuck you, whispering in your ear that maybe this time it'll stimulate your cervix enough to help his seed catch. You always agree, nodding blindly, needing the feeling of him ramming into you so fucking deeply.
On days when he's tired and needs a break from his constant role of authority, you and the boys will bring out this little chain you had made for him. It's an almost dainty thing that clips onto his nipple hoops and his Prince Albert. It's just short enough to pull gently at all three, giving steady stimulation but not enough to help him cum. You and the boys will have him kneel in front of you, and you'll caress him and kiss him and put on a show to make his heavy cock jerk and tug on the chain. On these days, Price will never beg, he won't even speak unless asked to. Because he knows you'll all treat him right, he knows he's in safe hands. So he'll kneel in place for as long as asked, using his mouth on each of you, a steady string of precum oozing from his cock and hitting the floor. These chain sessions end with Price at the center of the cuddle pile and the most tender aftercare.
There is another one they all have as well. No one really remembers who brought it up to begin with, but for your one year anniversary with them, they all got a pubic piercing. They all went into the shop together to get it done a couple of months earlier, knowing they'd be gone on deployment and successfully be able to hide them. So on the night of, after you've all come back home from a lovely dinner, they ask you to close your eyes for just a moment. You hear lots of rustling and some giggling from Soap and some hushing from Ghost and sharp, nervous exhales from both Price and Gaz. They give you the all-clear and you open your eyes to see them holding their already heavy erections to the side to show you the pretty jewelry. "For that pretty clit of yours," they say. "Now you'll have to tell us who uses it the best"

Okay, breaking my principles hiatus again for another fanfic rant despite my profound frustration w/ Tumblr currently:
I have another post and conversation on DW about this, but while pretty much my entire dash has zero patience with the overtly contemptuous Hot Fanfic Takes, I do pretty often see takes on Fanfiction's Limitations As A Form that are phrased more gently and/or academically but which rely on the same assumptions and make the same mistakes.
IMO even the gentlest, and/or most earnest, and/or most eruditely theorized takes on fanfiction as a form still suffer from one basic problem: the formal argument does not work.
I have never once seen a take on fanfiction as a form that could provide a coherent formal definition of what fanfiction is and what it is not (formal as in "related to its form" not as in "proper" or "stuffy"). Every argument I have ever seen on the strengths/weaknesses of fanfiction as a form vs original fiction relies to some extent on this lack of clarity.
Hence the inevitable "what about Shakespeare/Ovid/Wide Sargasso Sea/modern takes on ancient religious narratives/retold fairy tales/adaptation/expanded universes/etc" responses. The assumptions and assertions about fanfiction as a form in these arguments pretty much always should apply to other things based on the defining formal qualities of fanfic in these arguments ("fanfiction is fundamentally X because it re-purposes pre-existing characters and stories rather than inventing new ones" "fanfiction is fundamentally Y because it's often serialized" etc).
Yet the framing of the argument virtually always makes it clear that the generalizations about fanfic are not being applied to Real Literature. Nor can this argument account for original fics produced within a fandom context such as AO3 that are basically indistinguishable from fanfic in every way apart from lacking a canon source.
At the end of the day, I do not think fanfic is "the way it is" because of any fundamental formal qualities—after all, it shares these qualities with vast swaths of other human literature and art over thousands of years that most people would never consider fanfic. My view is that an argument about fanfic based purely on form must also apply to "non-fanfic" works that share the formal qualities brought up in the argument (these arguments never actually apply their theories to anything other than fanfic, though).
Alternately, the formal argument could provide a definition of fanfic (a formal one, not one based on judgment of merit or morality) that excludes these other kinds of works and genres. In that case, the argument would actually apply only to fanfic (as defined). But I have never seen this happen, either.
So ultimately, I think the whole formal argument about fanfic is unsalvageably flawed in practice.
Realistically, fanfiction is not the way it is because of something fundamentally derived from writing characters/settings etc you didn't originate (or serialization as some new-fangled form, lmao). Fanfiction as a category is an intrinsically modern concept resulting largely from similarly modern concepts of intellectual property and auteurship (legally and culturally) that have been so extremely normalized in many English-language media spaces (at the least) that many people do not realize these concepts are context-dependent and not universal truths.
Fanfic does not look like it does (or exist as a discrete category at all) without specifically modern legal practices (and assumptions about law that may or may not be true, like with many authorial & corporate attempts to use the possibility of legal threats to dictate terms of engagement w/ media to fandom, the Marion Zimmer Bradley myth, etc).
Fanfic does not look like it does without the broader fandom cultures and trends around it. It does not look like it does without the massive popularity of various romance genres and some very popular SF/F. It does not look like it does without any number of other social and cultural forces that are also extremely modern in the grand scheme of things.
The formal argument is just so completely ahistorical and obliviously presentist in its assumptions about art and generally incoherent that, sure, it's nicer when people present it politely, but it's still wrong.

throws up my hands in mock resignation but also a hint of frustration Okay Valentino is a cool villain I guess
He's like. Genuinely unsettling. Wish the show struck a better balance with his character sometimes (like sometimes when he's onscreen I have to skip over because I feel queasy and sometimes he's so unsubtle he feels more like a prop than a guy who's going to be a Huge Deal in s2)
#why yes I have been reading some phenomenal fanfiction lately#a lesser me would be agonising over my inability to ever come close to matching the#masterfully characterised works of these talented WORD WEAVERS#but envy is a spoilt housepest and we must spend less time unleashing it upon new targets#instead let's talk about how these fics discovered its possible??#to write Val as not only a 3dimensional character but a deeply horrifying person to WITNESS#to depict how he thinks and what he wants and what he contributes to the people around him#while acknowledging that his actions are supremely messed up#also without dumbing whatever the fuck is wrong with him down to just 'can't do math and needs a sippycup'#those jokes are funny but he's also a dealmaker#he doesn't need to be studied under a microscope! he needs to be gawked at in abject horror! Oh the Potential!#he needs to tell us more about how depraved hell can be by linking us to a portion of the culture full of the dead who cannot die!#anyways. rant over. uh I think I like valentino now? in the same way I like the old man villain from hunchback of notre dame.#just. (gestures) what is this dude. ew. oh my god#my post#personal stuff#hazbin hotel#hazbin hotel valentino#is this anything#again I am entrenching on dangerous territory of 'expectations for this media I consume'#he really doesn't need to be written all shakespearean-like#too attached mayhaps#delete later#honestly worried that if the show does reveal his backstory or whatever it'll try to paint him in a sympathetic light#and then the online arguments will be a headache for a month#villain with tragic backstory ≠ sympathetic villain

I just think it's fucking wild how novels, like published books, average between 70,000 and 120,000 words and there are fanfic authors out there posting regular 80k+ works for free, for the love of the thing (or in spite of the thing)

Hey #GreekMythology tumblr, I want ya’lls help on something :).
So, I’ve been thinking about starting this massive project. Like, would take years and years work of writing and research and sheerly finding the time and motivation for. And as I was thinking about the specifics, I thought: why not bring others into it as well? Because as much as I am interested in a lot of Greek Mythology, there are things that are simply not my interests and might cause writers block and my goal for the project would to be as fun as possible. So, here we are.
What is the project exactly? Well, hopefully, it’ll be a long Ao3 series/fic focusing on the individual perspectives of various figures/events in Greek Mythology arranged in (semi/good enough) chronological order. I personally intend to write for Poseidon in his/my version of the Titanomachy and (maybe) some events that follow, if you want a little bit of an idea on what I’m talking about.
The limits on this are almost completely free, all that I ask are that each of your submissions are one POV only (and by that I mean your main subject’s POV). Why do I say this? I say this because that is what I want this project to look like. It doesn’t matter if it’s First, Second, or Third POV along with all the other variants of those three, my main focus is on the individual experiences of these individuals. Kind of like character studies, if you know what I mean. I’m intending for it to be mostly formal but I will absolutely accept crack admissions that I will probably put into its own series to Separate the Vibes for whoever comes by :).
Ultimately, this is a completely open-ended project that has absolutely no deadline. I’m about to go to bed so I can’t go into too much detail, but if you want to DM me or send any asks, I am completely okay with that and we’ll all flesh out the specifics we go :).
What is my overall purpose? Not only is this project made for my own individual purposes of learning more about the gods and other Greek Mythology writers, but it’s also the chance to spread the word of other writers. I know how hard it is to get specific audiences, especially when you’re shy, so this is a chance for your work to be stumbled upon. Each post on the eventual Ao3 fic will include your socials, how to find you, and your other general works on either ao3, tumblr, wattpad, or other :)
Can you participate even without socials or a tumblr page? Yes you absolutely can :). My asks will always be open to anons and I will do my best to give credit when I eventually post everything :). If you want to post multiple submissions or simply just want a trackable (between works) name to your writing, just sign something at the end. It could be a name, it could be a potential username, I don’t mind at all :)).
How do I submit things? Well, the best way would be to DM me :). I have a personal writing email separate from most things that would be perfect to either share a google docs with or to just send a copy-and-pasted copy of it. Otherwise, I take asks. None of them will be posted unless asked or we’re ready to so it’ll be safe to just drop them off in! It’s also where I take questions :).
Any other things to note? I’d really appreciate some other moderators and editors :). There’d only be like two or three of each and we’d have to know each other decently well before officially starting, but some help would be appreciated! Also, I’d like to keep a working ‘spreadsheet’ of who’s working on what just for people to see what’s going on :). Maybe some people can collaborate or it’ll encourage those niche writers to write :). A third thing is that most questionable stuff is accepted. I’d personally rather not handle all those things other than posting it so it might be a while until I can officially accept (consensual and/or graphic) ✨spicy stuff✨ but, other than that, I’ll take any of it (also, it’s Greek Mythology, almost all of it already happened). If someone’s willing to take over the ✨spicy stuff✨ then please DM me so we can work out the details and see if it’s a nice fit :)
Honestly, that all should be it. The main point is that I’m trying to start up a long-term project on Tumblr and Ao3 about what is essentially Greek Mythology character studies that not only allows for mass communication across a wide audience, but also (hopefully) gets some recognition for the smaller writers :). Feel free to DM me or send me asks with questions but for now, I shall sleep
Tagging: @bluebellstudio @thirteen-deaths-later @0lympian-c0uncil @happyk44 @h0bg0blin-meat @sworeontheriverstyx @deathlessathanasia @gotstabbedbyapen. Sorry if I tagged you and you want nothing to do with it, I just wanted to get it out there /pos /gen

Dawg, I'm never looking through the Akashi tag on AO3 again. 16 pages in, and if it's not Akashi × OC/Reader with heavy amounts of smut, then it's yandere Akashi. If it's not yandere Akashi, then it's Akashi with a terminal illness. Ya girl is tired. I give up.
