Blood exploded from Dagger’s mouth and he saw stars for the second time as Dum Dum knocked him on his ass. The constellations mocked him in a dim flicker above. For a moment he couldn’t move. That chrome fist shattered a tooth–not for the first time, though depending on the outcome of the night, it could be the last. He didn’t think Dum Dum would kill him. He may have underestimated him until now.

Before his vision had time to clear, he felt himself ripped upward, heaved into another punch that left him coughing, choking on his own blood.

“I trusted you–” Dum Dum spat. His voice sounded like a car crash, and he hit just as hard. Dagger’s skin split open above the eye, and his left optic turned suddenly to static. The seven red lenses staring down at him overtook what was left of his blurry vision. He could barely make them out in detail, just the bleeding glow around him like watching the world through a rain soaked windshield. “You never gave a shit about any of it!”

His tone shifted. There was a human crack in the words that sounded foreign on the otherwise mechanical growl of his voice. Dagger felt it like a knife in his chest, wedging him open. Something else he wasn’t used to.

His lungs heaved with heavy breath. Voice wet and ragged.

“You ever hear about the scorpion and the frog–”

Blood sparkled on chrome knuckles and Dagger’s hand came up on instinct to stop the incoming blow. The impact radiated down his arm but his fingers tightened and he held true. It might be the last time he’d ever feel that touch. Part of him wanted to remember. A fingertip brushed across the scarred metal of his hand and Dum Dum went still, like for a moment the rage fell way to something softer.

They were never very good at softer.

Dagger’s grip tightened suddenly, savoring the feel of him one more time before he sent his free hand flying into Dum Dum’s face and knocking him sideways.

He forced a smile tight over dripping red teeth. Wild as a dog.

“Is that the best you got, tin man?”

Dagger scanned over the horizon, flat land dusted with the setting sun. He’d purchased the lot on a deal. Holding a man at knifepoint makes negotiations smoother–something he’d learned long ago. Twenty miles out and you’d hit Vegas, but it was quiet here and empty. Nothing but sun-bleached barren road, forgotten and neglected by anyone who wasn’t Raffen. He had no problem dealing with Raffen. They’d learn soon enough where they sat on the food chain.

His eyes dimmed automatically against the golden light as he tried to picture the sprawling carnival set so clearly inside his head. It’d take time, years maybe, but it was doable.

He heard the dirt crunch behind him and turned. Even those blaring red eyes paled in comparison to the sun.

“You ever imagine I’d go legit?” He asked as Dum Dum stood beside him, stretching out the cramps in his legs. The truck sat on a ridge a few feet away, a veil of dust filling scratches in the paint. It was a long drive out, but they were home.

He shook his head, tone flat. “I never imagined you’d live past thirty-five.”

“Well, I am a man of surprises.”

“Hard to figure, though.” Dum Dum took a step forward. “You finally choose to spend a fortune and it’s five miles of fucking sand. ”

He knew Dum Dum didn’t share the same longing for the wide open. He watched him scratch at the vents of his cyberware, brushing out the dirt trapped inside.

“You just ain’t picturing it,” Dagger said, determined. He threw an arm over his shoulder and pointed him toward the west. “That right there’s where we’ll have the stage. Good music, not that fucking laser pop electric shit.”

He heard a laugh at his ear, and turned to the right, pointing out an especially flat section of desert. “That’s where the haunted house will go. Behind it will be the coaster. Biggest one on this side of the continent.” He was grinning now. The structures were clear in his vision. It finally felt real.

“You sound like some shitty salesman.” Dum Dum quipped.

“Bite your fuckin’ tongue,” Dagger shot back with a playful grin. He walked a few steps over, leading Dum Dum with him, where he drew a line in the sand with the tip of his boot.

“And this will be our door.”

“Our door?”

“Our trailer.” There was an innocence in his voice he couldn’t quell.

Dum Dum looked at him, smile creeping over his lips.

“I figure you’d prefer solid walls to a tent.”

He examined it again quietly. The image in Dagger’s mind was so vivid, had been for a long time. Longer than he realized now that he was here, and it wasn’t the stage or the haunted house that made the bats in his gut fly wild. It was him. And it wouldn’t be the same if he was gone. Dum Dum stepped through the imaginary threshold and looked around, gazing at the promise of what might be.

“Place is a fucking mess,” he joked, as if standing in the middle of a crowded room.

The bats fluttered through him gentle.

“Some things never change.” He joined him inside, surrounded by the shared daydream. His hand inched toward him, glancing off the edge of his fingers before a pinkie linked gently around his own. The rest followed like dominoes. It was the only time Dagger’s chrome hand felt like flesh again. Dum Dum’s grip tightened around it.

Some things never change.

“C’mon,” Dagger said, hardly more than a breath. “I’ll show you where the bed goes.”

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

So I will lead this answer with the following statement: 99% of the time, I can objectively get why people have the OTP that they do. The logic and reasoning for the ship can be written out for me and I can understand that. It's just that I would have little to no emotional investment in it. In a way, the ships I list are only ships that I don't emotionally get.

With that said...

A necessary precaution for the hornet's nest I'm about to strike.

Black Clover: Dorothy x Nozel. Mereoleona x Yami. Secre x Asta. Jack x Yami. Ichika x Ryuuya. Vanessa x Nozel.

Demon Slayer: Douma x Shinobu. Akaza x Kyoujurou.

Hero Aca: Katsuki x Shouto x Izuku (that whole triangle in any combination).

A:tLA: Zutara. Toph x Satoru (that one dude in the comics with the factory).

Again, I can see where these ships are coming from objectively (like thematically or logic of character bonds). My heart is just apparently made of stone when faced with these OTPs. I'm sorry. And that's where the discussion is ending.

(Also I have a lot more BC ships that I don't get because it's the fandom I'm actually invested in.)

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

Lolopechka x Gadjah.

Both in-universe and on a meta fandom level, this ship is very pure.

Gadjah is the loyal guard to the queen who sees Lolo for everything she is: a regal queen, an unsure woman still coming into her own, a clumsy sweetheart, and a soul dedicated to her kingdom and her friends. Lolopechka is the benevolent queen who puts more trust in Gadjah than anyone else, even the other Spirit Guardians. It's clear she thinks highly of him too since his confession got her so worked up. Maybe it's just her being awkward but I'm pretty sure the intended understand is that she's thrown off by the man she loves saying he loves her too.

And in the fandom, I've never encountered anything negative about the ship. Most people support the couple. And even when shipping them (mostly Lolo) with other characters, there's never any dissing of the other character. It's smaller ship with side characters and so that make it easier for the fandom to treat the ship respectfully.

26. Most shippable character?

Finral Roulacase.

Ship him with Yami or Finesse or Vanessa or Gauche (I've heard in passing in once) or Kirsch or just anyone.

My obvious favorite option is Finesse. But one of my mutuals (@/sailor-muno [currently inactive for reasons]) has an oc (Mallory) she ships with Finral and FinMal has a permanent corner of my mind for itself. Legit, I had to shake my hands to get all my jitters out because I got to chance to bring Mallory up! BUT ALSO! Nacht x Finral. I... this pair has something to it that I just need to have. They're both big brother and failures in the eyes of somebody and they're both tired of the BB's antics and Yami causes them stress and-! AASJHFLJKAHETHAEIUTHUIAEHKBJRHLGIU!

Finral has an energy that works well with a lot of characters because he is so often playing the straight man to the wildness of others. And even when he's the weirder one in the couple (see Finral x Finesse), he's still a grounded person whose moments of wildness can bring excitement into a "quiet" relationship.

1. What OTPs in your fandom do you just not get?

Predictable ass answer but Mattmello/Natebit. I actually think Natebit can be cute at time but it's one of those things I look at and go "That's fanon" more than anything lol. Matt was on screen for like ten minutes total IF that, and honestly I just don't get the appeal of either of them.

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

Again, Mattmello and yes. I'm also viscerally un-into Lawmane, for reasons I legit could not explain to you. Instinctive skeeve on my part. I have the tag blocked on everything so I couldn't tell you whether it's popular or not; though I assume it is, given that blocked lawmane posts come across my feed more often than others..

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?

Takada and Matt. I just didn't find either of them interesting or appealing when I watched the anime the first time and coming in to find that people liked them and obsessed over them to that extent was jarring. It launched my brain into that toxic "everyone loves a thing I'm disinterested in so instead of neutrality I now despise it with the fire of a thousand suns". I would gladly watch either of them get hit by a bus to wild clown music. Spite, I think, is my answer here. I think I've successfully kept my irrational rage on the downlow though :'3

Assorted OTP Questions, Thorinduil: Who is the big/little spoon?

LMFAO I was gonna try writing a ficlet or something for this but... ah sorry v.v

Legit tho the main reason it failed was cuz I realized I can’t actually answer this with a fic: the answer would just be messy and muddled, I think =/

So!!!

The answer is kinda neither and both (see what I mean?):

It’s neither because elves don’t actually sleep (they sort of just meditate for a bit and Thranduil especially does this while sitting in his throne so often he literally wonders why he even keeps a bed [until he starts being with Thorin, of course]).

But it’s also both because, of course, Duil is an utter sweetheart and sentimental to boot so when Thorin sleeps, and Duil doesn’t have pressing kingdom matters to attend to, Thranduil will slip into bed with him--usually, yes, as the big spoon--and hold him close as he sleeps because Thorin is only mortal and, seriously, they’ve wasted/lost enough time together so even in sleep time’s important.

And it’s also both, of course, because Thorin doesn’t fully understand elves and their silly meditation thing--but he DOES understand their caretaking habits and how it’s their love language; so, when he finds Thranduil “sleeping” in his throne, Thorin will pick him up and take him up to bed (which, yes, many elves giggle at; tho, honestly, most find it utterly sweet and it’s one of the first things Thorin does that actually wins over/convinces Thranduil’s very protective people that, yes, Thorin’s a bit of a pompous prick but he does clearly love their deer dear king) before laying down--yes, as the big spoon; because he might be smaller but, damnit, he’s burly, a literal boulder, and totally brawny enough to be the big one; especially since his too tall and long love is clearly slimmer and more slender than him so OF COURSE he’ll be wrapping his slightness up in his big arms, thank you very much--and holding him close, breathing in his foresty scent (cypress, myrrh, sandalwood, and the wild berries they use for their wine), and falling asleep to it without ever really realizing Duil’s merely entertaining him (though, Thranduil definitely enjoys being in Thorin’s arms, pressed to his chest where he can feel his heart beating strongly [proof he’s alive] against his back, enveloped in Thorin’s own scent of mountain rocks [like limestone and lava], molten gold [like the labyrinth of precious metals still occupying his kingdom], mithril spools [like what he uses to weave the mail they now share] and mead).

O, and its also neither because they actually prefer to sleep face-to-face (err... face-to-chest? also face-to-neck lol) with their arms wrapped around each other--especially after some, uh, quality time together... legs VERY intertwined~--sometimes with them on top of each other like in my drabble called Bedding--although, for sure, if they’re in BED (which is SOFT) Duil might be under Thorin instead of on top of him which, shockingly, neither of them are really picky about--wherein Thranduil can spend the whole night watching his love sleep peacefully.

In truth, the main problem is that I don’t really see them sticking to one position: they like variety (especially Thranduil whom is OLD--so bleeding old...) and, since many positions (spooning especially) carry dom/sub connotations and they’re both KINGS, the equality of laying side-by-side and face-to-whatever is... well, it’s the most comfortable thing for them both so they use it the most.

Whatever ones the brainworms are currently wiggling in. So currently it's ffxiv and ffxvi and a little dash of sso

4. what are your top five fics by kudos?

Breakfast NSFW Stranger Things steddie. Which is actually the sequel to the second most kudosed one but I guess we're all sluts for domesticity.

Monster in the Bed more NSFW Stranger Things steddie. The lines of kudos emails I got from those two were fantastic.

Sunny-weather Snuggles and now for something COMPLETELY different, SFW mlp appledash. I used to have this little tradition, I suppose, of starting a new '30 day otp challenge' for every ship I liked. Don't think I ever finished one though.

Garden Party which is another SFW mlp fic but this time rarijack (I love their dynamic).

Odd Tattoo NSFW wtnv cecilos, god knows why I gave it the mature rating. I actually had this on ff.net initially, it's THAT old. But wtnv is just that popular I guess (for good reason! Night Vale my beloved).

5. do you respond to comments?

I do now after sitting there making flustered noises for a good ten minutes.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Funny thing about me, I never remember my fics. Ever. Legit I surprised myself one day discovering a stash of estimeric fics that I just. Don't remember writing. I feel like there was one though. It could be Frozen Wasteland SFW ffxiv which is about the bloody banquet at the end of arr which. Yeah. The saddest part is that I never went anywhere with it because then I started sb and met Lyse and um. Yeah.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Starlight Kittens sfw ffxiv Lyseka I think. There are probably happier endings but that's the one that immediately springs to mind.

8. do you get hate on fics?

Sometimes there are weird 'this is so cringe wtf' comments but hey it's not my fault if they don't embrace the cringe.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

I was called sin mother for a time for a REASON okay. All kinds, vanilla, kink, monster, you name it. Very much into a/b/o and monsterfucking but I keep overthinking it and that kills the mood so fast.

10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?

[hides the ffxiv/ffxvi one under the bed] I mean yeah. Craziest one was probablyyyyy the Gotham x SSO one. I can't remember what happened but I remember the crossover.

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge but it's not like I go looking. Wouldn't surprise me if someone had stolen an sso one though, some of those kids man...

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

Again not to my knowledge but I also know that ffxvi is very popular in other languages so honestly I'm waiting for it.

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

I swear to god I have but I can't find it (unless Jack posted it??? It was years ago though) but I suppose the Wild West AU also counts? Green-eyed Drake's Revenge was the last one (god I miss that era so fucking much I met some of the best people but also the worst but I just really loved being a part of such a big project).

14. what's your all-time favourite ship?

The answer probably would've been easier before I played ffxvi but uhhhh yeah it's Terence/Dion from FFXVI. Which you wouldn't know from my fics for that fandom (I keep getting distracted by other ships) but like. Canon gays. Hello. How can I resist. Ship that makes me go 'eeee' and then think about for a while after I see it.

15. what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Haha what unfinished WIPs I don't have those scattered everywhere. I would like to actually finish Frozen Wasteland (linked above) someday but there's also a phoenixflareknight fic that I'm slowly pecking away at but it has no real plot or anything so I don't think I'll finish that. And the aforementioned ffxiv/ffxvi crossover.

16. what are your writing strengths?

Making anything look good, baby. Or so I've been told. Sheer determination? Dialogue maybe?

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

"And where is all of this action taking place?" Shrug emoji. Descriptions.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I think it's fine as long as there's a translation somewhere.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

Sonic. I don't think I published any of them though. It's probably better that way.

20. favourite fic you've written?

There are a few that spring to mind but I associate them with an ex-friend so ew but Lost and Found is the ffxiv/ffxvi crossover fic I do have published where I put my character and her sister and the arr-era Scions into the world of ffxvi. I love it and wish it got more attention but maybe the time's just not right yet, idk.

I'm gonna be honest, I really don't care about ships enough to have a nOTP and the ones that would be considered a nOTP should be obvious (as in, incest etc)

random headcanon

He's gonna be great with kids once he's saved. It's a fact that he's good at reading people and he obviously has gone through a lot growing up, so I think he'd be really great at mentoring kids (which he already did with Tokoyami in the war arc lmao) and being someone they can look up to because despite everything, he's made it AND he called out his abuser, which not everyone can do so it'll give some kids hope for sure.

I also think since he was most likely homeless during those 10 years, he probably learned a lot so once he's reunited with his family he'll constantly surprise them with weird skills he has acquired over time.

And because he's a dramatic funky little guy he'll definitely be telling them all kinds of wild stories, some true, some not, and some a mix of both. But no one will ever find out which it is because how are they gonna prove it?

Maybe people are just triggered by the phrase 'alternative facts' or 'facts'. Its easy to get stuck on a phrase and its negative associations within the wider world. Why they would go so far as to send hatred your way is beyond me (I hope you are ok).

That would have to be ignorance and hypocrisy then wouldn't it? They are shippers too, right? Or are these noneshippers?

A fact is something that is actual and proven to be universally true as opposed to a theory or belief.

An Alt Fact: Is a belief you treat as fact.

All and any statement that says JungKook and Jimin of BTS or any other ship in BTS is real, are gay, in a gay relationship, are boyfriends, having sex in their real life is an Alt Fact. Can't answer for shit when they are sued now can they? Lmho.

Statements like these are just delusions, beliefs and opinions that we shippers tend to treat as facts within the shipping industry. Lol.

I legit thought all these 'she treats her opinions as facts' rumblings were coming from nonshippers with genuine concerns but if it's coming from shippers- I can't take them seriously. Lmho.

If such a distinction isn't made then we not only would be opening ourselves up to possible litigations for libel and defamation but to many moral criticisms such as and not limited to assuming the sexuality and gender of these boys- a problem that comes naturally with shipping and is especially profound in shipping same sex OTPs.

I see a lot of these 'shippers' put up 'disclaimers' such as that they 'ship' Jikook but do not 'assume anything' about them to try to disassociate from and mitigate the criticisms that comes with shipping same sex idols in a romantic context- but that's a misnomer or perhaps, at best, oxymoronic. Lmho.

Chilee, how are you gonna claim you 'ship' two men and believe them to be dating eachother but then claim you are not assuming anything about their gender and sexuality? For them to be dating, they'd have to be queer, no?

If you don't want to assume anything then don't ship them at all or ship them but as 'friends' -bros, bros thangs. Lol.

In which case, you have no business meddling in the business of those who ship them romantically. Damn. But it's as simple as that.

Shipping opposite sex couples is not the answer either. It is equally problematic as shipping same sex couples- either way you are assuming the sexuality of these Idols. If it's not normal to assume they are gay, it's not normal to assume they are straight either.

Shipping in general is very problematic regardless of whether you are a trad or altshipper.

What's worse, we spit out lengthy dissertations and engage in arguments to try to disprove that other Male to Male ship within the same group isn't 'real.' Do you see the problem here?

If Taekook or any other ship in BTS, besides Jikook, turns out to be 'real' we would have spent years tormenting and invalidating two gay men, defining their relationship for them through our own lens and dismissing their right to be whatever they want to be with their sexuality. If Jikook turn out to be straight, we would have done the same thing to them. Chilee.

And if you are an Alt shipper such as myself, you get that extra checkmark for wanting to 'out' or attempting to 'out' your OTP if they are in fact a real gay couple- we all suck my guy. Lol.

Seriously though, these are the issues we ought to be concerned with and have conversations on- as different types of shippers, if we want to be woke or fix the shipping community. Not go to war over disclaimers and tags and shit. What goes on! Chilee.

And while we are at it, we ought to talk about one of the main differences between tradshipping and altshipping: Fetishization, Objectification and appropriation of gay life.

As a disclaimer, this is not to defend my opinions or theories- Let the records show. My opinions and theories are just that. But I have read theories and opinions from other altshippers that are very different from mine but they all seem to have one thing in common- How do I articulate this...

Follow me-

Tradshippers are more willing to accept and uWu at Jeonlous and Jimlous- which are alternative facts and theories by the way, but would flinch at theories that suggest or imply Jikook may very well be dealing with microaggressions and other subtle variations of homophobia within the company- catch my drift, I'm trying not to get sued. Lmho.

Do you see what I mean?

Tradshippers who believe Jikook is real tether the line of Altshipping. Supporting Jikook is to see and most importantly treat them as real 'gay' men- which means you ought to understand and see that they can experience serious issues and pains that any and all LGBTQ plus couples experience within a conservative community such as S.K.

To not see this or assume, when others point it out, that they are being 'dramatic' 'spinning wild accusations' 'writing fiction' and all these other slurs people throw around in these streets is to expose the homophobia inherent in tradshipping.

Heteronormativity in tradshipping is homophobic, dismissing possible real life pains and experiences of the OTP you claim is gay is equally homophobic or at best objectifying, fetishizing and treating these queer people as fantasies and not people.

Picking and choosing the kumbaya aspect of their relationship and despising any statement that contradicts your fantasy of them is objectification, fetishization and frankly homophobic- especially if those issues being pointed out go to the root of issues that gay people face on a daily basis.

It's no different from Tuktukkers who define the relationship of their OTP for them and dismiss the pain of one of their OTP when that person have, over the years, expressed discomfort with being shipped with the other OTP in a romantic sense- get out of your imagination, or even expressed his loneliness and longing for a partner- Blue & Grey and the plethora of ways he's expressed that he is single and not in a romantic relationship with JK.

Conversely, they invalidate the relationship of the pair that expresses a desire to be shipped and actually wants to be shipped with eachother and have gone over and beyond to create the impression they are a couple- even if coincidentally. It's the same way they dismiss the desires and experiences of JK- who have time and time again proven that Jimin means more to him than just a brother or friend and yet they keep forcing the bro tag on them. Chileee. In my opinion. Sigh.

It's one thing to disagree with people's opinions, it's another to use dismissive tone and language especially when the other opinion is about issues that real people within the 'community' faces. That can be very insensitive. Know what I mean?

And the fact, people don't understand the difference between opinions curated to pander to followers who just want the good stuff and want to fetishize their OTP without reservations by coming up with bogus theories such as that one of their OTP is a slut and a grinch terrorizing their fantasies; and theories such as that 'a company which has sued a 12yr old child for spreading misinformation but did not sue a shop that owed it's talent a duty to protect his privacy and instead asked the shop to lay low- after issuing a public statement that they were going to sue on behalf of their talent,' that that is a double entendre.

Its occured to me tradshippers worry about their hair and how they look within the shipping community but chileee me my altshippers worry about not getting our ass sued by BigHit for all the things we think is going on within the company. Lol.

The term alternative fact, delusional, delulu, fiction, allegedly and all these other epithets and fine sobriquet that Tradshippers abhor are honestly an altshipper's friend. Chileee.

Jikook is real. That is an alternative fact untill Jikook come out as gay, on their own- if they in fact are. I can't prove it. I simply believe it. I disassociate from anyone who doesn't think that is an alternative fact.

That's not to dismiss the concerns that these people express beneath all the noise- I share some of them as well, especially if I believe it's gonna get me sued. lol.

I worry for people who have been exposed to the normalization of fetishization, objectification and latent homophobia prevalent within tradshipping.

But at the time too, I worry about 'immature" 'impressionable tradshippers' who are new to altshipping or come across my posts in medias res.

I'm still dialoguing with the 'other side' to see how best to resolve this. I'm open to suggestions.

Now can we move on from this topic? I vote more shipping, less hubbub hubbub. Lol.

Oh and as a disclaimer, I'm no expert on anything other than my opinions. I do not speak for the LGBTQ plus community. Everyone has their own unique experiences.

As always, this is just my opinion.

Because I keep a diary, I somehow noted down the day I started watching AOS: it’s actually exactly one year ago today: 24 April 2020!

Thanks to a combination of (a) quarantine getting boring, (b) I finally figured out how to get a quality and legit stream of the show, and (c) no Marvel movie in 2020, I finally committed to starting AOS. Here are some of my initial impressions of the show from the diary:

Why are the Helicarrier, the Triskelion, and the [Bus] so pretty, but the HQ, wherever that is, look like a dank basement? (I think I was referring to the opening scenes ft. Hill, Coulson in the corner, and May in that sad cubicle)

...we are supposed to believe this incredibly extra organisation is also a supremely covert one. Like a giant ass black transport plane with your logo emblazoned across the back is not sketchy at all. And for that matter, armoured SUVs with your logo everywhere.

(It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that, oh yea, like the CIA and other intelligence organisations, they work in the shadows but we all know the agencies exist, and we know where some of their buildings are.)

Getting into Agents of SHIELD is very easy and comfortable. It feels like...getting into Daltonfic (A/N: that Glee S2 fanfic that became a spin-off fandom all on its own). I know the setup, the worldbuild, and some of the characters already. Partly from the MCU, partly from Tumblr. Getting into a new fandom is hard. Expanding your current fandom, however, is very pleasant.

And look at me now :) I have a new OTP, I went from an AO3 lurker to having a good few fics under my belt, and most importantly, I met all of you...fine people of the fandom and Blue Shirt Gang, all because of this show. (All because in 2012 a whole bunch of fans refused to accept the death of a side character <3)

So...this is a bit sappy, but thank you to all you amazing people I’ve encountered through this show. It’s been a wild ride of a year, and here’s to more shenanigans :)

Haha, I feel like most NoTPs I have are super popular OTPs ^^; I have several, but I think the most prominent ones are Naruto/Sasuke (I dislike the idea that two characters can't be in an extremely close friendship without romance/sex involved that this ship tends to push, plus the behavior of most NaruSasu shippers over the years is very off-putting), Ichigo/Orihime (I find the dynamic to be just bleh and all kinds of wonky), and Lotor/Allura (self explanatory! XD). I guess Sesshomaru/Rin too, except I legit forget they exist as a ship because it's just so... wild, to put it mildly.

23. Unpopular character you love?

Hmm, Orochimaru? I know he definitely has a small but dedicated fanbase, but even among those fans, I have a feeling that the extent and the nature of how I love him as a character is vastly unpopular. Light Yagami is probably another one, though I honestly don't know how popular he is within the Death Note fandom as I have not set foot in there at all. And I guess Sesshomaru now fits the bill, sadly; he's been super unpopular ever since Yashahime came out, with long-time fans either abandoning him or outright hating on him, but I still adore og Sess and, again, legit forget Yashahime exists XD.

-first born, and kaizen’s older twin sister (i imagine akakuro were in their late 20′s when kuroko finally accepted akashi’s proposal cuz he’s an independent young man who don’t need yo money)

-if abo is applicable, she’s the alpha female who’ll become the Empress of Akashi Corp. one day lmao

-very into gore and power dynamics like her father, but as emo as her dear mother (despite kuroko’s insistence that he’s a male, since he birthed her, he’s technically her mom so seika doesn’t really care)

-she has way more energy than her parents combined and probably the physical incarnation of bokushi

-she’s the only akakuro kid that became a basketball nerd too

-also, kaizen basically babysits her on a daily basis bc yOU HAVE SEEN BOKUSHI’S SCISSORS SCENES RIGHT?? IMAGINE IF THAT WERE A PERSON’S ACTUAL PERSONALITY

-i think kise rubbed of some of his sparkles on her, and kuroko is blinded by his daughter on a daily basis (also kuroko’s surname is akashi in the documents but he’s kuroko tetsuya everywhere else)

AKASHI KAIZEN

-the middle child who’s also the younger twin (i think they might be born somewhere late in october)

- if abo is applicable, he’s the only omega child and papa is in his most protective father mode with him (in contrast to his rivalry with his daughter to almost everything -they also fight for kuroko’s attention every day lol)

-pretty much kuroko with akashi features sans eyes BUT when kuroko is more monotone, neutral and as masculine as an omega can be, kai is way more expressive, easily embarrassed, and basically a tsundere??

-he used to play basketball with his family when he was a kid, but he wasn’t interested in joining an actual team and devotes his time to the arts (animatics, webtoons and fanarts galore)

-he’s still somewhat a basketball fan tho, just not a player (papa and chichiue are still proud)

AKASHI YUKI (his hair and eyes are really light blue if you’re wondering)

-he’s the youngest by a grand 10 years from his older siblings (the pic says otherwise, i know) and probably born on april 1st or smth bc nobody believed kuroko when he said he was having third kid at his age lmao)

-he’s the wild card of the family-

-like legit, in the abo, he was the one who wore traditionally fem clothes so everybody thought he was going to be another omega but then boom growth spurt and he’s an alpha ;-;

NOTE: yeah having akakuro as parents lead to a very stiff childhood, but rest assured, that’s just the parents’ personality and they still spoil them in their own way)

also yeah, they refer to them as their current closeness would have it:

seika refers to akashi and kuroko as ‘father’ and ‘*insert compliment* mother (or mama if she’s in her vulnerable states) because of her (reasonable) logic and because father is her eternal arch nemesis muahaha

the ‘papa’ thing between akashi and kai indicates their closeness, while he calls kuroko ‘chichiue’ because well, their similar personalities don’t really convey their affection for one another so yeah

yuki just calls them both dad so it’s pretty confusing or daddy/mommy for distinction but the unholiness to the couple is very apparent . He’s pretty neutral when it comes to favoritism (he slightly prefers kuroko over akashi tho)

bar i thought i told you i was a libra 😭 oh well we can have it here officially 🥺 yesterday my manager pointed out that the barman is a libra and we were having a giggle at his expense about his new hair and how she thinks he thinks he’s impressing the girls (i don’t think he does but we move) bc we all talk to him (she was in a good mood) n i saw him today from a distance (i took a couple of my friends to try the food on my day off) n wow he’s so cute i wanna squish (i also accidentally sprayed cleaner sanitizer in his mouf yesterday 😩 he fuckin coughed and i was like OH MY GOD DID I— IM SORRY OH GOD)

no bar… bar, oh god, oh fuck… oh my god im so, so down bad it’s almost illegal.

i have to explain my next train of thoughts so here goes: my driving instructor rang me while i was out today and told me he isn’t going on holiday (awh) so i can use his car for my driving test (yay) unless he books a country on the green list that’s relatively cheap for short notice but he would still help me find an instructor who’s car i could use if he manages to get a holiday (yay for me and him). the next part of the story is now im thinking shit i gotta start saving my money and stop spending it on drinks bc then i can buy a car n insurance n stop worrying about missing the g o d d a m n bus! and then my next train of thoughts happens when me and my friends were walking back through our home town through the dodgy area that thé barman lives in after catching the train home and i was just thinking about how i can give him a lift home legit every day bc we both going to the same place and it’s like a two minute drive away from my house… my thoughts be going wild i have more than enough motivation to save my money now

i offered to stomp on a girl who argued w my supervisor (supervisor got sent to a different branch bc they have a lack of staff n one of their staff is supposedly moving n joining our branch) and i was v serious. my airforces are good for stomping people. i’m from the ghetto (compared to the other girls) and i will squish this girl like a fly if she were to come to our branch n disrespect literally anyone on site 💗 my supervisor threatened to get me on one of the other girls as a joke afterwards bc she came back for a day to get some stuff n go back… i think i made it 🤩 then i offered we get the barman to run her over w his electric scooter (this convo sounds familiar, have i already told you?) i’m so giddy right now as i went through a real-time realisation literally minutes ago.

Why I Like them: OKAY IN ORDER, first movie Beetlejuice. I enjoy he’s a big sleazy asshole that has funny one-liners every time he actually just show up in the movie. I also enjoy watching Barbara school his ass every time I rewatch the movie, stan movie Barbara y’all she’s a babe and will take you down. I also like to thank Michael Keaton for his performance it was a great one and we all have movie Beej to thank for the other Beetlejuices we got!

Toon Beej! Adorable, a brat, a jerk, a man that would do anything to make a quick buck and he’s gross and such a petty shithead I love him lmao. He can be pure and adorable and nice when he wants to be even if he doesn’t like to show that he has a soft side. Also holy shit all his puns??? YES?? I LOVE PUNS. His jokes, his powers, everything about this middle aged dead ghoul is A+ and ya know what when karma does slap him that’s good too cause he does deserve to get taken down a peg some times lmao. I weirdly relate to Musicaljuice like a lot (as someone who struggles with trying not to be petty or get jealous and stuff like that), plus him feeling invisible and lonely also hit home really hard when people in middle school and high school would randomly just drop/ghost me out of the blue. He’s such a chaotic sleaze and I just enjoy his energy and his jokes so much. His dirty humor? Sign me up I keep it clean here folks cause I got another blog for dirty stuff but I like dirty humor when it’s done right lmao. Also dadbod. Dadbod is CHEF KISS. The little things I also enjoy. How he does have an affectionate side (him being just affection/touch starved also coming for the throat cause me too), the fact that he jumped to protect Lydia after she rightfully killed him and he even gave her his cowboy hat as a goodbye present. Why I don’t: I honestly do not hate his character at all, but, I can criticize his actions. To a degree. I can’t exactly say (ex. Musicaljuice)“Oh no! a demon trying to kill Lydia’s friends and family?? How unexpected!!” he’s a demon he’s gonna do evil-ish things. Which is why I applaud Lydia taking matters into her own hands good kid 10/10. and like movie Juice is a bastard sleazy man of course he’s gonna have a shitty idea as to marry a teenage girl so he can freely do whatever he wants in the world of the living. He never in the final script showed any creepy shit towards her which god I am grateful for I don’t need someone perving on this teenager that’s already having a wild time in her new house. He’s a conman just trying to have a good time but goes about it by crappy means. The petty/jealousy thing can go too far some times (but I chalk that up to musicaljuice’s sad upringing along with not having an positive relationships that we know of in his life to support him) for musical and toon juice (toon juice once again I don’t think had any friends that really understood him when he was alive and when he died so he just does whatever he wants since people already think so little of him before he meets Lydia), however with the proper talking to I think both could improve from it. Like in an analysis way I know these guys are fictional just like character development thoughts. All three have said and or done some things ranging from like small shitty things to problematic obviously. Beetlejuice is a very complex character as a whole. Movie juice obviously not as developed since he’s barely in the film to kind of shroud him in more mystery but that doesn’t mean his motives aren’t intriguing. I don’t want to make this post longer than it already is so that’s just all of my thoughts summarized.

Favorite Episode (scene if Movie): Fav movie beej scene is hard.

His first time meeting the Maitlands, his charades with Lydia, then the ending scene are all so good.

Toon Beej I’m trying to think. Once again I’ve only rewatched like 20+ episodes for the cartoon so it’s hard to pick with limited options. Uhhhh I like the haunted attraction episode lmao also the creepy tree and how he went out of his way to help Lydia move her favorite tree and in the end tried saying something nice to the tree even though eh was annoyed with it the whole episode.

Musical juice that is HARD, Blum and Brightman just own every scene they’re in shit lawl. I really like the evil plan reveal during the séance. The whole being dead pt 1&2 (the guide reprise), say my name, his scenes with the maitlands.

Favorite season/movie: Skip

my ultimate favorite character™: oh god. see. star trek is legit the only franchise where i don't have a favorite character, because I have this. deep, nostalgic fondness for them all. i think that while aos is lacking plot sometimes and maybe goes a bit wild on the effects, it really did a good job of capturing the SPIRIT of all the characters, so. dude. i love them SO much. and cuz there's so many star trek series and shows and movies, it's kinda. hard bc they're all so different. but top 5 are definitely aos jim kirk, spock, data, bones and geordi.

Each rendition I love and DD60 considers Main D his true love. Mad D is the other half of the toxicity known as Corla with my boy Corvus. The ship of Main D and Connor was a surprise in the beginning. I didn’t expect it but I’m glad it happened. Cause I just love her clinical coolness against this supposed cool machine who has more emotion than he should now as a deviant. That takes some doing. But they have a ton of shit they went through including a terrorist takeover by that aforementioned Anarchy. We have such great plot ideas and I can’t get enough of them. Main Connor and Markus for my gal too. Main Markus all around. I love him damn it. Genevieve is also my Connor’s waifu. DD60 on the other hand.... just don’t let him alone with Corrupted Gen.
