Blows my little lore kazoo <33 Here’s my star hc family tree and silly star forms of everyone! Plus the original chart from 2019 when I first had this stupid idea for them all to be related which has since just. Dominated my personal star lore. It was supposed to be a fun au idea and then it got out of control the drama was just too much fun <33 More details under the cut about everyone!

- So first I gotta talk about dark stars real quick, in my lore they are a species of star and not just one guy

- Darkstars can not have parents, they are created from the shadow of millennium stars

- essentially what happens is when a millennium star is born, a Darkstar is created in its shadow to help maintain balance between light and dark forces of the universe. They are as pure light magic and as pure dark magic as any stars can possibly get.

- The Darkstar who begins the whole family tree IS the dark star from Bowsers inside story, his real name is Aludra. The Millennium star who he was created with is Prankstar, his real name is Capella

-THEY ARE NOT RELATED. I just wanna say that hear the deal with dark and millennium stars is less like a ‘these beings are twins’ thing and more like a ‘you are cosmically tied to this being by the strings of fate’ deal

-Without getting into Aludra and Capella’s complicated lore and more into the messed up lore of the history of dark and millennium stars, TLDR: Aludra was the star’s leader and Capella was his jester. They were in a secret relationship while Aludra was married to another star (the marriage had been arranged by the council)

- Aludra and his wife have 3 biological kids: Boomer (yes, the boss from mario rpg), Eldstar, and Smithy

- side note: star children are not made through. Yknow. They are made through a magic wishing ritual it is very easy and you don’t even have to see the other parent for it to happen. Also Eldstar and Smithy, those are not their birth names, they are titles earned later on, lots of higher stars have them

-Aludra also raises the next darkstar born, her name is Umbriel and Capella raises her corresponding millennium star, his name is Vesper. They are largely unimportant rn but just. That’s who they are

-Aludra is sealed away, his children fight for the throne, the Eldstar wins

-He then gets married to Mamar and has his four sons: Skolar, Kalmar, Muskular, and Klevar (again, I promise those are titles not their birth names)

-Lady Misstar wanted in on the high life and so started pretty much dating all of his sons at once, girl wanted the benefits of dating what are essentially star princes, good for her

-Fuck around and find out though, she has Twink pretty much on accident

-Star law says that stars are not allowed to have children with one another unless they’re married (a law made by Aludra to try and stop the overpopulation problem). but Klevar does not want to marry her

- so she does what any gaslight gatekeep girlboss would do, she lies to the stupidest of the children and says it’s his and she marries Muskular instead.

- he’s just happy to have a kid, he knows that ain’t his boy but he’s happy :]

-Twink is sent down to Starborn valley for his younger years just like any other star, no special treatment for him

-BACK TO THE SMITHY SIDE OF THINGS and oh this is where it gets complicated and ridiculous truly

- after his brother takes the throne, Smithy goes to him and has the idea of making vessels for stars, big metal bodies to keep everyone safe as stars are vulnerable little things. I mean just look at them

-Eldstar approves and they make the factory

- at first the factory is filled with volunteer stars who want to help but as progress is slow, they leave, Smithy is spiraling into madness

- well the factory needs workers, Eldstar starts letting his brother use children to work there

- Smithy has hundreds of kids with hundreds of other stars, he also takes orphaned stars to work the factory. Most die.

-They also serve as the star’s army, conquering more land and defending the haven

-He also forces his brother Boomer and his son to help him. Boomer’s son, Punchinello, would eventually flee the factory and hide on earth, settling in there

- Geno is one of his kids, he’s part of the latest and last group of kids. He’s towards the middle of the group

-Geno also flees the factory after realizing his father is out of his mind. He flees in one of his father’s wooden prototypes and dumps it on earth before hiding in space

-The Eldstar eventually finally realizes this has gone too far and tells Smithy to shut down the factory program, which Smithy retaliates by destroying the star road

-SMRPG happens. Smithy and his kids go to jail, they were bad

-at this point in personal lore/lore with my buddy, they are out of jail and the kids are all living together and patching things up

-there is also another darkstar, that’s Nebula, poor Yarid has been raising the damned thing

-also Yarid’s boyfriend. Yeah, we made him up sort of on accident. We had a list of canon characters. And we were gonna give him a boyfriend from those. Then we made Misha on accident and their interactions were nice so he got the role instead. Twas an fun surprise

-I think that’s mostly everything other than talking about Estelle, Castor, and Constella

-but essentially they were told by the higher stars. Oh hey, do you want a kid? We’ll let you have one without getting married, just for you because you are so special but don’t tell anyone they’ll get jealous :)) and then took their kids and put them in the factory

- also yes, all five of the axems were born at the same time, it was a terrible surprise. Their father had a meltdown. And they really did just name them each a color

-Also Trickstar is not on the star chart bc his title is a lie he is a comet not a star

There is a subtle knock on the door, ripping you out of the trance you had previously been in. You remove your eyes from the shower wall and finally begin moving the showerhead over your body again.

"Yeah?" you call out.

"Hey babe, it’s me", Jungkook says.

"Hey love, what's up?"

"Can I come inside?"

"Why?"

"Don't know, I just thought that maybe we could talk a little."

You chuckle, "you do know that I'm currently titties out, coochie free in the shower, right?"

"Uuh yeah? Duh?"

The doorknob moves, but the door doesn’t open. Obviously, because you locked it.

"My boobie babie can I come in?" he whines behind the door.

"No?" you laugh, "not when you’re giving me that voice."

"What voice?"

"The horny voice."

Silence for a second then, "I'm not giving you the horny voice. Hey babe, what's the difference between me and the shower head?"

"I'll regret asking, but what?"

"The shower head can see your boobies."

You roll your eyes.

"Not it", you say despite chuckling to yourself.

"Babe please, can I come in?" Jungkook tries again, most definitely pouting.

"Not today, alright? Gotta really wash my crack."

A faint chuckle.

"Can I have that? I need me some good ol' alone time tonight", you tell him.

"Yeah totally, get that", Jungkook says, "I'll be upstairs then."

"Yes, it won’t be long anymore."

"Take your time, love. Hey babe?"

"Yes Koo?" you ask him, stepping out of the shower.

"I took a shit before and it smelled so bad."

He cracks you up, "thanks for that information. I hope you left the window open."

"I did", Jungkook sounds smug, "okay bye, Imma shower upstairs. Gotta wash that crack too. I wiped thoroughly though, just fyi."

"Never doubted you, love."

"Okay good. Byeee", he coos.

"Goodbye", you say, chuckling to yourself.

Jungkook leaves for good afterwards and you spend the rest of your nighttime routine smiling to yourself because of him. He is so childishly silly sometimes. It never gets old.

You make yourself a nice cup of chamomile tea before leaving for the bedroom. It seems that Jungkook went on a whole cleaning rampage before going upstairs. The kitchen, as well as the living room, are sparkling clean as you wander through them. He also loaded and then started the dishwasher and remembered to close the windows for the night. Thankfully, because you would have totally forgotten.

Smiling to yourself, because you have the best husband ever, you make your way upstairs to your shared bedroom.

It was the best room of the house. Located on the second floor and with east facing windows, it overlooked the ocean with its sandy beaches and distant seagulls. It was an entire front of windows, reaching from floor to ceiling and with a sliding door leading to the spacious balcony outside. You installed a series of planting pots along the railing and Jungkook set up your beloved cuddle nest. A canopied beach chair with a comfy mattress, soft pillows and fairy lights along the edge of the canopy. You and Jungkook spent many evenings snuggled up there and watching the sun set. As of recently, you also spend an unhealthy amount of time cuddled up in there and playing with your newest addition to your family. A little Doberman puppy called Bam. Jungkook chose the name, explaining to you that he wanted a word related to his roots and that Bam in Korean means both chestnut and night and that it is the perfect name for the dog. "It's because his fur is coloured like a chestnut, but he's also dark and mysterious like the night. Also chestnut sounds so cute, our little chestnut", he told you and because you had nothing to argue against the cute explanation, you decided to call your puppy Bam.

Said puppy is currently making your husband giggle happily as it wiggles his little body on his chest.

“Yeah scratchies”, Jungkook coos, scratching behind Bam’s ears, “yeah you like being scratched there? Ohoh yeah scrwatchies, yeah bwig scrawtchies.”

“Shouldn’t he already be in his crate?” you ask him, watching him with fond eyes.

Jungkook looks over at you.

“Yeah I know, but look at him”, he cups Bam’s little face, turning it to you, “he’s so cute, I just wanna squish him.”

Bam barks softly, alerting Jungkook’s attention, who ends up giggle and then pressing a big smooch on the puppy’s forehead.

“God I wuv you so much”, he babytalks, smooching him a second time, “my Bamie. My cutie bwaby Bamie.”

"You're so cute", you tell him and finally claim your comfy spot on top of the bed. You set the mug of hot tea on your lap and sigh contently.

Jungkook releases Bam’s head and sits up, letting the puppy lie down in the little nook between his thighs. He leans over until he can rest his cheek on your shoulder.

"Wat'cha drinking?" he asks, sneaking a glance into the mug.

"Chamomile tea, it’s really good. Wanna try?"

"No thanks, I’m good. I already brushed my teeth. Hey babe?" Jungkook lies down beside you in a way so that his head is facing the side of your thigh.

Bam crawls up his dad’s stomach, sniffing at Jungkook’s neck curiously while the latter runs his fingers up and down his little back.

"Yes baby?" you ask him.

"I'm thinking about getting another tattoo again. What do you think?"

"I think that if it makes you happy then go for it. The only question is where and what?"

"I'm thinking inner left arm? There", Jungkook shows you the empty spot on his upper arm, "something related to Bam."

"Get a chestnut or his puppy paw print."

Jungkook cranes his neck, gawking at you with big eyes.

"That's so cute and genius!" he exclaims, "the paw print would be adorable."

"Right? It would look really good on the spot too."

Jungkook nods his head, reaching above himself to run the back of his hand up and down your leg.

"Thank you my darling, I knew you'd have awesome ideas", he says.

“Always happy to help.”

Bam now makes it his goal to lick Jungkook’s chin, making him laugh.

“No Bam, don’t lick my face. I already put my skincare on”, he whines, lifting the tiny puppy up so he couldn’t reach him anymore.

Bam kicks his little feet in the air as if he was sprinting, barking rather loudly.

“God Kook, you’re making him all hyper again. You know he’s not gonna be able to fall asleep if you do that.”

“Yeah, yeah I know”, Jungkook whines and sits up, pecking your cheek, “don’t worry, I’m already putting him in the crate. Do you wanna give him his goodnight kissy?” he says, holding him in front of your face.

“Goodnight Bamie”, you coo, giving your little baby a big kiss on the forehead. Bam gives you a kiss back, licking your left cheek until Jungkook pulls him away and rolls out of bed to place Bam in his crate.

It was still way too big for him, but you both decided that it would be way more financially clever to already buy a big crate for when he grows up and in the meantime fill the space with lots of pillows and stuffed animals. Bam loves it, he especially loves cuddling with his pet giraffe. Tonight is no different. After Jungkook gave him his goodnight kiss and patted his head, Bam finds his sleeping spot cuddled up with the giraffe.

Jungkook hurries back to the bed after closing the crate and rolls onto his stomach, propping himself up on his elbows. He rests his chin on his hands, squishing his cheeks together in the process. Then he grins, eyes crinkling cutely.

"What?" you ask him.

"Nothing, you're just so pretty."

You reach out, caressing his chin.

“You too, my prettiest.”

“Yeah? You really think I’m the prettiest?” Jungkook asks, fluttering his lashes at you.

You run your thumb over his lips and the slope of his nose.

“The prettiest”, you whisper.

Jungkook grins, kissing your palm before sitting up and stealing a kiss from you. He hums in content, nuzzling the tip of his nose into your cheek.

“You smell good, baby”, he says, before flopping on his back with his head nestled in the pillow. His fingers are stretched on his tummy, tapping a random rhythm his mind is coming up with on the spot.

And while Jungkook enjoys the soundtrack of the night, consisting of cicadas and slow waves, you enjoy your chamomile tea, thinking of nothing in particular.

"Darling I was thinking", Jungkook breaks the silence, "maybe I won’t work out tomorrow morning, but instead go for a run with Bam instead?"

"Sounds good, Bam would get his movement too. Did the trainer say that we can let him go out so young?"

"I don't know, maybe we should ask him actually before I mess up his training or something."

"Yeah totally, I think that’s clever."

"Fine then, I’ll work out tomorrow and then play with Bam in the garden later", Jungkook decides with a nod of his head, "do you think he'll poop on the terrace again?"

"I hope not. You’re cleaning it if he does", you say, nudging his chest.

"You're so lazy, I swear to god", Jungkook pouts.

"Sorry baby, I promise next time I'm in the garden with him, I’ll clean it."

"Obviously, That's a given", he says, eliciting a light laugh from you.

"Fair point", you say, finishing the tea with a content sigh, "well that was yummy", you say, getting out of bed.

"Where you going?"

"Brushing my teeth, I’m not going to bed without clean teeth", you say, disappearing inside the en suite bathroom afterwards.

You keep the door open so that Jungkook can continue chatting with you.

"I'm feeling so snacky for melon. I think I’ll pop down to Hobi's place and get a fresh one tomorrow."

"Sounds lovely."

"Nice, I like that we're on the same page with this. Hey baby?"

"Yes Kook?"

"Do you think we can feed Bam watermelon?"

"I don't know. Did you check the booklet the trainer gave us?"

"I'm currently doing it", a short pause as he reads then, "good news. We can. But only a little amount and with all the seeds removed. That’s dope, we can give watermelon to Bamie tomorrow."

"Sounds awesome."

"God sorry, I feel like all I'm talking about lately is Bam", Jungkook says, making you smile.

He is right. Jungkook has been nonstop talking about your little puppy ever since you got him. He sends you pictures of him, shows you all the videos he took, tells you all the things he thinks are cute about him, is inhumanely excited for your shared training sessions with him. One time he cried after Bam managed to do "sit" on the first try. Another time he cried because Bam fell asleep in his lap and he felt bad because he really needed to get up and pee. And another time he talked your ears off about how he will build Bam his own sidecar so he can go on your family adventures once he is older.

So to keep it short, Jungkook is so completely happy and obsessed with this dog that some people may call it insanity. You call it yet another reason why you love him so much. You are so happy about getting Bam and knowing that your husband is just as happy about it, fills you with so much joy.

You leave the bathroom, turning off the lights behind you.

"Don't stop, I love that you keep talking about him", you tell him, crawling back under the blanket. You rest your head in the pillow, rolling to your side so you are facing him.

Jungkook does the same.

"I'm really happy lately", he says, "and you?"

"I'm really happy too."

"Okay good, that’s good to hear. I just thought I'd ask because I haven’t done that in so long."

"What? Ask me if I'm happy?"

"Yeah or just asked you how you’re feeling in general", Jungkook shrugs his shoulders, "we're always so comfortable in our conversations that I sometimes forget to check up on you from time to time."

You reach out, intertwining your hand with his'.

"I love you, you know?" you say.

"I love you too", Jungkook answers you, squeezing your hand gently.

You love that even after all those years together, his eyes still seem to race between yours with such awe and adoration. He pulls your hand closer so he can nuzzle his nose into you.

"So how you doing, sweetheart? Any complaints?"

"None", you say, melting like ice cream.

"Yeah none? How’s the sex front holding up?"

"Oh that? Mhhm well, I don’t know", you shrug your shoulders.

"Scuse me? What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh well you know, I can’t really complain. I've had worse."

"___", Jungkook whines, "what the hell? I suck?"

“I’m just messing with you”, you say, cackling mischievously, “you’re amazing.”

“Yah, don’t do that”, he complains with a pout, reaching out to nudge your chest, “I almost started crying right now.”

“Aww I’m sorry baby, gosh come here”, you say, pulling him into a kiss.

One he tries to wiggle out of, “no”, he says, “don’t kiss me, you traitor.”

“Com’ere baby give me kissy”, you coo, smooching his cheek.

Jungkook lets it happen before flipping you on your back and pinning your hands above your head. He smooches your lips, darting his tongue out to lick your nostril afterwards.

“Ew Kook that’s so disgusting”, you whine, trying and failing to wiggle out of his grasp.

Jungkook cackles boyishly, “it’s what you get for telling me that my stroke game is weak.”

You roll your eyes fondly, “fine, I’ll take it.”

Jungkook grins and rests his head on your shoulder afterwards. You close your arm around him, playing with his hair.

“So comfy”, he says, closing his eyes.

“Yeh”, you say and kiss his hair, closing your own eyes afterwards.

You will fall asleep in this position and you will do so happily.

Ooo we doin' clawcode angst 👀? *Pulls out my au lore, lemme see

Here comes kind of a huge lore dump/mini fic about my Clawcode AU

While I usually write/draw Miles G. and Ganke M. being silly and getting into shenanigans, there is more in depth lore and sinister six plot lines that have some heartfelt/angsty moments because Earth-42. Here's my lore about the origins of how Miles G. Morales and Ganke M. Lee met, how Miles G. became The Prowler, and how Ganke M. revealed his own secret identity before asking Miles if he could help him as his right hand man:

In my AU, Claws and Code, the first time Miles G. and Ganke M. meet is their first year of Brooklyn Visions Academy where they become roommates. In this AU, Miles G. Morales is the vigilante known as The Prowler, and Ganke M. Lee is the fabled anonymous underground hacker and enginneer called The Gh0st_Kni9ht. At the start of their first year of being roommates, Ganke M. is already doing undercover freelance hacking shenanigans and hides it from Miles G., but Miles G. isn't the Prowler yet. Miles is suspicious of Ganke but after getting to know him he lets his guard down and they hit it off and become best friends and the dynamic duo around campus. They even spend the summer after together.

When at Ganke's house, Miles starts putting the pieces of Ganke's financial situation in his head. Ganke's dad in this universe works in the business sector of one of the factions under the Sinister Six (its unavoidable, nearly everyone in the city that's a citizen works in some capacity under them) and he regularly gambles and loses money. Ganke's mom works twice as hard in the technology sector but barely makes enough money to hold down the fort. Miles notices all the tech in Ganke's room, and notices somehow he's still able to pay for all his books and other accommodations at school, even helping out his mother with bills, but Miles has never seen Ganke go to work and he's only ever at his computer or disappearing off to who knows where if he's not in the engineering lab, so Miles is pretty sure of what's happening but he doesn't say anything. Ganke appreciates it.

Fast forward and it's their sophomore year of high school and the two are already making plans to hang out next summer. Ganke gets a crush on Miles but doesn't tell him or rush into anything yet. The two are just happy to have each other and there's not a worry or a care other than the usual chaos in town. There's nothing to worry about...

Right?

It's the middle of Miles' sophomore year of high school when his world turns upside down and it's now a little harder to breathe. His father...has passed on in a police related incident. Aaron Davis, Rio Morales, his extended family, several police force, and Ganke are at the funeral with him.

Ganke is there by his side, supporting him from the get go. Going to the funeral, checking in on him, being there beside him, anything. Miles doesn't know if he can go back to how he was before his father died, but Ganke assures him that that's ok and he can be who he needs to be to be easy on himself.

Over the next few weeks, Miles knows he's not ok...but he's getting better, settling back into himself. Going back to working out and using his punching bag. He's still here and he still has his mami, tío, and Ganke...and he'll always have his father in his heart.

Miles settles back into a routine and finishes his sophomore year, with summer break on the horizon.

That summer, Miles visits his tíos apartment for a surprise visit only to open the apartment and find his tío in his Prowler suit, and his worldview does a 180. His uncle is The Prowler. His uncle doesn't see him yet, so Miles quietly slips back out of the door an runs for his life. He doesn't know what to do, he doesn't know what to think, he doesn't know whether to feel betrayed, scared, or angry that tío is the opposite of what his father fought against every day. So Miles goes home exhausted, and falls asleep. Little does he know Aaron saw him run from him, and it hurt his heart.

A week later, Miles tries to forget the whole thing as he walks to tíos apartment to deliver lunch made by his mami, and he knocks on the door. Aaron let's him in, and they eat together. Miles doesn't look him in the eye. They both know why, but Miles doesn't know that Aaron saw him. Aaron lightens the mood by telling Miles stories about his father to cheer him up, and for a moment things are almost normal.

Then people start banging loud on Aaron's door. Aaron tells Miles to hide in his bedroom closet at the far end of the apartment while he takes care of it. Miles does, then he hears a fight outside with his Uncle in the middle of it. Miles gets too curious and looks through the window blinds to see his uncle in the Prowler suit, soloing everyone who tried to get the jump on him. Miles didn't agree with what he was, but in that moment he couldn't lie like his tío wasn't cool.

Fast forward and one day Miles takes the alleyway that his mami said not to go through, just so he can make it home before the citywide curfew, and Miles gets cornered by 5 large men. Miles does his best to put up a fight, but when he's on the ground and thinks he's really messed up big time, a purple flash comes from above, and a villian becomes a hero for a night. It's his tío, Aaron Davis, The Prowler.

On the way back to Uncle Aaron's apartment, his tío carries him in his arms while he's still suited up, mask up, claws out. Miles for once feels the safest he's ever been. His uncle patches him up as they finally have a heart to heart, and Miles makes a decision that changes the course of his destiny. He asks his uncle to help him become strong so that he can protect others like he did, and protect his family like his father would.

This would be the start of Miles G. Morales, The Prowler.

During the summer, Ganke and Miles hang out less and less and Ganke gets suspicious but he's also wrapped up in his own secrets so he can't ask without being a hypocrite and blowing his own cover...so he can only hope that with Miles, everything is ok.

It's the Junior year for Miles and Ganke at Brooklyn Visions Academy, and things are already off to a rough start. Miles is acting off and Ganke is worried (and a little pissed) that he's being brushed off...but he cares about him and he's still gonna be there for him even if it comes with a risk. Ganke knows there's a new sidekick spotted prowling around Brooklyn with The Prowler, and that there have been rumors that The Prowler has defected from Kingpin and is now a vigilante. Pair that with Miles skipping classes, coming to their dorm and slipping in and out at odd hours with injuries that Ganke takes over in patching up again and again, and Ganke has put two and two in his head.

Finally Ganke flies a little too close to the sun and implies that he knows what Miles won't tell him. Miles gets scared that Ganke is going to put it all out on the line and say it. Blow his cover, blow both of their covers. Layout all their secrets they've been dancing around each other, but Miles just can't handle that. So he hits a low blow, saying Ganke kept secrets from him first, and then Miles runs away from his dorm and leaves.

The next day, it's Saturday and there's no class, so Ganke slips away from campus on his bike and goes to the one place he's never been to but has been tracking for months.

Uncle Aaron's apartment, home of The Prowler.

He sets his bike aside and hacks the front door keypad lock in 5 seconds without breaking a sweat, and sneaks in until he sees The Prowler's sidekick standing up and facing away from him with his mask on, fiddling with tech at a work bench, before taking off the mask and revealing his face.

He knew it...

It's Miles.

It's then that Ganke makes his own decision, the one he's resolved to make for months, as he walks forward ready to blow away all their covers, no secrets, no games, so he can say what he's been wanting this whole time.

"I knew it"

Miles freezes and whips his head around with the most deer in the headlights look that Ganke has ever seen in his life.

"What are you doing here, you shouldn't be here. You need to leave"

"I already knew, and I already know Miles"

"You don't know anything!"

"I think its pretty obvious at this point"

"Shut up and leave Ganke, you don't know what your messing with. Leave."

Ganke keeps walking at a steady pace towards Miles, resolved in his decision.

"I think I do, and I'm going to help"

"What?!

"Miles...you have a lot of eyes on you now, and I know you're in deep. I am too, I know what it's like...and you know I that I know what it's like, even if I never told you..."

"Ganke stop talking" Miles warned

"But I'm going to tell you now" Ganke said

In a desperate attempt, Miles takes Ganke's shirt collar in his hand as he stares Ganke down with a stare that can only be described as the calm before a storm.

"Get out of here, Ganke. Before I make you".

For a moment Ganke looked down at him with fear, but Ganke has never been a pushover and he sees even past Miles' threat that somewhere in his eyes Miles doesn't want him to go. So Ganke places his hand over Miles' hand that's currently grabbing his shirt collar, and leans his forehead on his when he says

"No."

And Miles looks back into his eyes with a look of sadness, defeat, and underneath it, relief. He then drops Ganke's shirt collar and reluctantly leans away from him and sighs, looking at the ground. How is he supposed to keep Ganke out of danger now?

"See, the funny thing about the truth is sometimes it can hurt like hell, and sometimes it comes with a risk. And when you take that risk, you do so knowing that whatever outcome happens you're willing to face it head on because it's worth it. And as cheesy as it sounds, I'm here because I know you're worth it. We're worth it, and I'm not gonna let you fall without me there to catch you when you need me. So since I know your truth now, I'll tell you mine..."

Miles waited with a baited breath as he let Ganke's words settle into his heart, and prepared himself for what Ganke was about to tell him.

"Over the past few months I've hacked into Kingpin's, Dr.Ocks, Brooklyn PD's, Scorpion's, and several other government websites and organization mainframes for intel and other reasons. I've created blueprints and tech for various sectors, I do all this on closed circuit tech and get cash for it, and I have a 4.0gpa in the school system but I'm the only one who knows it's actually a 3.87"

It's then that realization comes over Miles as he realizes exactly who Ganke really is.

"I'm Ganke M. Lee, and in the digital underground I'm the hacker and enginneer known as... The Gh0st_Kni9ht"

And as Miles thinks about how many times the foes in the night he's fought say that name on repeat whenever there's a security breach or on-site hacking, all Miles can say is

"Holy shit Ganke"

"Yep that's my name, my real one anyway. I know its crazy, but you'll get used to it since you're the only one who knows now anyway"

"Ay díos mio! Ganke you have an entire bounty on your head!"

"I mean, so do you. Mine is only slightly higher than yours through. But you'll get there, Prowler" Ganke said with a laugh

"You're crazy!" Miles said with a look of disbelief and a huff that was almost a laugh "How can you be so calm about this?"

And Ganke, the clown he is actually taps his chin as if he's thinking about it. As if he's trying to solve some huge mystery before he chuckles again and reaches for Miles' ocular interface mask.

"Think about it this way..." Ganke says as he places Miles' mask into Miles' hands. Miles holds it and looks back at Ganke who's now standing right in front of him, with a look of fondness.

"When you hide behind a mask, you feel like you need to keep up appearances to be whatever people expect of you because you're not really you. You're just a character for people to project onto. Maybe you even project yourself onto it. A mask can be anything, for any reason, but it's still just a mask. It's you, just not the real you. When you take off the mask, or in my case when I log off, sometimes it still feels like you're wearing it, and you may still face the consequences of wearing it, but in the end it's still not really you. Sometimes it gets lonely and dark when you feel like a mask is all that you have to be...but look-" Ganke says as he places both of his hands on Miles' shoulders

"Your mask is off right now, and so is mine. We both know what each other's masks are, but we know who we are without them, and that's what matters more. From the start, you and me both knew the part we played for others and who we really are, and even then we both know no matter what that we've got each other's backs. Even if our masks are a part of us, and extension of us or whatever comics con hero bs you wanna call it, as long as I have one person in the world who I trust to know me behind the mask and without the mask, then I can take on anything the world throws at me." Ganke said with an easy grin.

Miles was speechless and at that moment he felt like a huge weight was lifted off of his shoulders because díos he was right.

"Miles I see you, man. You're juggling all these responsibilities with school, and your mom, and prowling around town kicking ass, but Miles, my friend...my best friend. You don't have to do this alone anymore. From now on...I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere, so let's do this together." Ganke says before letting Miles go and offering a hand to him

"Deal?" Ganke asks with a smile

Miles places his mask back on the table and looks long and hard at the hand offered to him, thinking of all that they have been through together and all that Miles feels about him, and what this means for them now. He accepts it all in his heart with a slow inhale... and an exhale.

He takes Ganke's hand in his and gives it a hearty shake.

"Deal" Miles says with a slight grin

"Good...now hand me that Maglev 200 wrench, and those shoes on the table, we've got work to do" Ganke says with a grin.

the bob and louise angst au is one I have talked about a bit on tumblr its just an au where gene, tina and linda died in a car accident when louise was 3 years old and it's like a norman's hotel type vibe where bob and louise are VERY secluded and mostly keep to themselves. very traumatized by it all and bob is overprotective. mostly trying to analyze how gene and tina's existence affected louise and how it would be different if she never had older siblings. it's sad tbh i dont think i will ever properly do anything with it but i do think about it sometimes

Louise Belcher was an only child.

Her father said that she wasn’t. He told her that she had an older sister named Tina and an older brother named Gene, but they died in the same car accident that killed her mother when they were five and seven years old. Louise was too young when the accident happened to remember them, only three years old and not yet aware of herself or her place in their family, so in her mind she was an only child. That was how she grew up, and a brother and sister in Heaven didn’t change anything for her. She didn’t need them.

Sometimes, when Louise was alone and feeling sorry for herself, she would try to remember what her siblings' voices sounded like. She would try to remember what they would say to her back when they were alive, and the games they would play together. Louise was the youngest so she’d always get her way when she felt like their games were unfair. She would try but she could never quite remember.

Her father had shown her videos he recorded of her mother and even a few videos of when her siblings were younger, before Louise was even born, but nothing recent enough that it sparked a memory. They just looked like annoying toddlers to her. Not her siblings.

She’d seen pictures of them, when she asked her father to bring them out from where they were hidden in storage, but that wasn’t the same. They just looked like stock photos he pulled from the internet. They didn’t feel like real people that she had known.

my louise/rudy my girl fic in contrast is actually not angsty AT ALL it was just a silly little concept i wrote where louise watches my girl w/ her family and sees herself and rudy in the characters and gets stressed out that something bad could happen to rudy. she sees rudy at school and he's basically like louise im FINE nothing bad is ever going to happen to me i promise <3 it was just a stupid movie

Louise found My Girl to be painfully boring in the beginning but when Thomas J. Sennett was introduced, she found herself relating to his dynamic with Vada. He reminded her of her best friend Regular-Sized Rudy.

They were always riding bicycles around Rudy’s mother’s house and similarly to Thomas J. Sennett, Rudy was allergic to EVERYTHING! Louise still thought that this movie was stupid and she wasn’t interested in the romance aspect at all, but she appreciated seeing a friendship that reminded her of Rudy. Louise snuggled under Bob’s arm and continued watching My Girl with her family—occasionally laughing to herself at moments that she deemed to be cheesy or unrealistic—until there was a completely out of nowhere twist near the ending of the movie that even Louise hadn’t seen coming.

Thomas J. Sennett had an allergic reaction and DIED!

Vada was left trying to understand how her best friend had died from an allergic reaction and how to cope with the grief and heartbreak she was feeling, and Louise who had otherwise been disinterested for most of the movie suddenly found herself trying to suppress her emotions so that she wouldn’t cry in front of her family over a STUPID coming of age movie. Louise never cried when watching movies.

“This is so sad. It’s been such a long time since we watched this movie together, Bobby! I forgot that he dies at the end,” Linda said as she blew her nose into a tissue.

Linda was always the most emotionally impacted when they watched movies together as a family, especially when children dying was involved. She always said that it made her think about losing her own children and how heartbroken she would feel. Louise had her face buried in Bob’s side so that nobody would hear her sniffling or see the tears that were pouring down her face.

What jobs/professions do you think the rosebird/str family would have in a modern au?

okayyyyy get ready for my ramblings because i have a ton of AUs in a “modern” setting and i have explored so many ideas its crazy. long story short the yang & ruby and their silly little strq family torture chamber is real...

Summer: media consultant or prop stylist for a magazine (i like the second one a lot lmao). Something hands on that also maintains a leadership role. Please just imagine her in a team meeting/video-call with yang or ruby sitting in her lap. You just know the str-family house goes crazy with holiday decorating because of course summer’s work life bleeds into their home life.

* Big contrast to the other stuff but i have also considered things related to disaster response for her, that's more for AUs where i want everyone to struggle with her death & i’m assuming you asked me this question to begin with because you know i love pretending nothing bad has happened EVER.

Tai: teacher is the easy choice but it’s very fitting for him. something between 3rd-5th grade is what i like to land on. There’s also stuff like carpenter and contractor that i really really like, or even mechanic & the added bonus of these careers is that you can tack on an instructor role to them. Carpenter tai that gives woodshop classes part-time at a highschool, or mechanic tai that has a weekend class teaching auto maintenance. I’m sure he taught yang & ruby everything he knows.

Raven: this one is interesting because i personally think you can make her the one that stays at home because of trouble holding down a job. And you can explore how that juggle with employment & unemployment affects her which is fun if you like dissecting ravens character. BUTTTT my favorite career for her is owning a music shop with qrow :^) you can also make her a mechanic along with tai & they own an auto body shop together, i think it’s funny to imagine her keeping a project car in the driveway. Probably got yang her bike and said “if you can get the engine running again it’s all yours.”

Other jobs i have considered: all of them being teachers (summer & tai for younger levels & raven for older levels), the whole str-family can own a bakery because i’m sure someone will wonder why i didn’t mention that with summer, tai & summer with a flower shop, maybeeee summer & raven are the ones that own a music shop together (teehee). can you guys even imagine mechanic summer- OKAY i'm ending this post before i hurt myself

cynthia is cogita's grandkid! her parents weren't present so cogita raised her until, of course, she got disowned for the whole trying to destroy the world thing. cogita sadly passed away before they could truly reconcile.

while there is no canon ancestor to iris, i think its fun to say that cynthia met iris' ancestor and they had kids and 200 years or something later, iris exists and cynthia gets to meet her great great great great grandchild or something. we'll come back to iris in a minute :)

i also think that lusamine also decended from cynthia, which means gladion and lillie also are related to cynthia! not that its important but you know. giant family.

i do ship cynthia and diantha. i think diantha is one of the few who know that cynthia is immortal but was most definitely the most recent to find out. iris is not aware of this. but these three are found family anyway <3

speaking of found family, prof. carolina and cynthia's younger sister are purely adoptive of sorts. but they're still found family. love them. wow cynthia 2 found families thats crazy.

cyrus (cyllene) family tree

yes this looks odd without context but we do have context so it doesnt matter. cyllene x laventon is canon and you can pry it from my cold dead hands. too bad cyllene got widowed and then found out they were immortal AND trans after laventon died.

anyway, cy and lav were married and akari + rei were their adoptive kids. ingo was akari and rei's adoptive uncle too but that isnt relavent to the family tree. also laventon is a distant relative to leon and hop :) maybe he had siblings or cousins who are great (x?) grandparents to them. who knows.

anyway damn cyrus why do you got 2 found families. but yeah team galactic is naturally cyrus' found family of course. he is his commanders exhausted adoptive father since all of their families suck lmao

mars family tree

i think mars and cynthia have the biggest family trees. anyway mars' was the first one that i did incase that wasn't obvious lmfao, but anyway, lets get into it!!!

arezu is ariana's great (x?) grandmother. ariana had a spouse that she had mars (maria at the time) with, but then she left them once she was like 'oh shoot im having silver!!!', so mars is vaguely aware that silver exists somewhere out there but she has no clue who he is otherwise. and then ariana and giovanni are married and had silver, who has no idea who mars is (he'd probably go through a crisis if he looked at sinnoh news, so lets keep it that way). silv and mars have a 9 year age gap btw just throwing that out there

silver found a new dad (lance) and some really weird teenagers about his age who he got stuck with. he's dating one of them. you have to guess. (i already know which one but im leaving it up to the mind bc silver isnt the focus in this au so imagine whatever you want).

mars and her silly little astronaut friends are her found family! i think arezu would flip her shit if she found out her great (x?) granddaughter was adoptive siblings with that one criminal lady (coin). but hey its fine!!! mars has her weird spaceman father and her weird astronaut siblings and life is good (mostly)

arezu deadass just has a bunch of decendants who commit various crimes

saturn / jupiter family tree

i grouped these two together since they've got the smallest family trees.

saturn is (obviously) a decendant of coin, but he has no contact with his family and hasn't spoken to them in years by the time pokemon platinum takes place.

jupiter and fantina are siblings (fantina is older by a few solid years) but they really don't like eachother. they have little contact with eachother and dont exactly speak often. but they do wish eachother happy birthday sometimes so thats a plusside i guess.

and of course saturn and jupiter both have found family with team galactic. awww how sweet :)

She thinks the little rivlary between him and Richtofen is hilarious

Overall: Allies on the surface of being friends :)

Takeo Masaki

Elena and Takeo have a mutual respect for eachother!

They actually connected a lot after Takeo having to kill his Ultimis counterpart

She appreciates his absolute loyalty and dedication but honestly felt horrible knowing that loyalty was for the wrong person

She actually really wants to learn how to use a katana properly. She thinks its super cool and really wants to ask Takeo to mentor her but doesn't want to add any unnecassary stress and burden so she wants to wait till they have the have the proper time IF they ever do

Takeo and her often meditate when they arent being overthrown by the undead :)

Overall: Good friends! Almost Mentor and Mentee

Nikolai Belinski

Elena and Nikolai actually have a close emotional connection despite it being hard for Elena to make such connections

They're able to relate on loosing a significant other and the trauma that comes with it

They share and comfort eachother in that aspect which brought them close together

Elena didn't really like how much he was putting Richtofen down but she cant blame him for not being able to trust him

They often have a sibling bond being able to share certain interests and be there for eachother whether it be when one just needs to let out some emotion and talk or from a zombie sneaking up on the other, they got eachothers backs

Elena and Richtofen have a great relationship, it first started as them lwk disliking eachother and ofc not trusting eachother but overtime through their adventure they actually get super close (I can go into detail abt their adventure if you guys want but this post is already getting long!)

Their relationship does start to spill into romantic territory 🤍🩵

They actually do become a thing in the canon story but in the modern au they get married and eventually have a family (WHICH IM GOING TO EVENTUALLY DRAW AHH)

But anywho! Yes! They have such a strong relationship thats heavy on trust

They've had quite similar upbringings so they're able to understand eachother and why they are the way they are, or atleast give some reason why

They're able to lean on eachother and trust eachother fully which both of them rarely had anyone like that in their lives so its really special having this type of relationship between them

Elena loves when Richtofen rambles and talks abt whatever is on his mind whether it be something silly or something hes concerned abt, she loves that hes able to feel comfortable and express himself to her she truly cherishes that

Elena also loves seeing him work and be in his own element, just seeing him be his intelligent self amazes her.

They comfort eachother through everything and anything, they both have different ways of comforting eachother but just them being able to be together is always enough

2. Did you reread anything? What?

I reread Sense and Sensibility and The Correction of Folly this year.

I love S&S as anyone who follows me knows I have a long list of AUs for the future.

The Correction of Folly is an What if Sense and Sensibility books since it's public domain.

3. What were your top five books of the year?

5. Atomic Habits by James Clear-It's nonfiction and about the psychology of habits and how to change them and it's dense to read.

4. Know Yourself Know Your Money by Rachel Cruze- A financial book about money and that depending on how your parents talked about money influences you how to think about money. It's good because I'm trying to change my money habits and money was one of the 4 topics not discussed growing up.

3. The Little Black Book of BIG RED FLAGS by Natasha Burron, Julie Fishman, and Meagan McCrary-I'm very bad at seeing red flags in people because I would rather see the good in people then the bad but im realistic enough that I know there there but growing up I was gaslighted so much i don't have a good perception when it comes to people around me. People in my irl vs my Fandom life

2. Correction of Folly by Christine Combe-Its silly, but it just makes me feel good whenever I read it.

1. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen-I love this book, it's my favorite Jane book. Because the plot isn't about romance, it's about understanding family. I too have trouble understanding my siblings but we do love each other so I find it more relatable then P&P.

13. What were your least favorite books of the year?

Most of my other books are for research purposes into Jane Austen and the Georgian History and plants discovered around this time. Other is financial help and how to relearn how to put up boundaries (childhood was not good for this)

I think How Zoologist Organize Things: The Art of Classification by David Bainbridge is dull and too dense for me, who has only a superficial care about organization and classification.

I think Love Your Life Not Theirs by Rachel Cruze is practical, but I am not looking forward to getting through the book. The advice is good, but tbh I know what she sounds like, and I read in voices, and it's rather annoying.

I got two pages into Boundaries by Dr Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend and had to put it down because while I struggle with boundaries I hate first person even in nonfiction. Its a style I dislike in either fiction or nonfiction but I will prevail.

for songs- instead of being happy and loving the world let me suggest little talks for codebreakers specifically in the code phil au after he's lost most of who he is through their continuous experiments ^-^ most of it I think fits but the bridge Especially so in the most heartbreaking way possible ow I love this song - 💿

After seeing this recommendation, I started listening to it on loop for a little while and you have me sold, I will be adding it to the playlist post in a moment because RAAH ( at least I assume it‘s the Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men, KAJAK )

Especially the beginning lyrics have me so???? ITS SO GOOD

The beginning lyrics being in connection to Phil not feeling safe in his own, almost abandoned home and Etoiles offering to be there for him, being a guiding hand whenever possible and protect him from what‘s to come. How much it hurts for Etoiles to see his friend being broken down from day to day, visit to visit.

Moving to Phil isolating himself, the „old voice“ could be in relation to the Federation breaking his mind apart with each visit. Making him doubt himself the more — or the less — he knows because he can‘t tell apart anymore what is real and what isn‘t, especially when it comes to his relation to the other Islanders and the Feds. Etoiles being there to remind him of everything good and that he is still there, Phil is still himself and that will never change no matter if he‘s a partial code, no matter how much the Federation messes with him.

„You‘re gone, gone, gone away, I watched you disappear

All that‘s left is a ghost of you

Now we‘re torn, torn, torn apart, there‘s nothing we can do

Just let me go, we‘ll meet again soon

Now wait, wait, wait for me, please hang around“

THIS???? I AGREE SO HARD, this especially gives me vibes of Etoiles watching what is practically a shell of the Philza he once knew, entirely broken by the Feds. Their once deep, trust bound connection hanging on by just a thread and threatening to be entirely torn away from each other - but Etoiles refuses to let go, he refuses to let the Federation take his friend away from him like this as if he‘s nothing more than just a mere toy for them.

ALTERNATIVELY this also gives me the idea of a particular bad ‘fixing‘, where Phil goes missing for far longer than any other time. Phil sitting within a small, almost cell like room and feeling like this is it. The others will never notice or care for his disappearance again, won‘t ever try and get him back and the only reminders of his friends — family — being the small memories of them that the Federation so gracefully allowed him to keep. He‘s ready to just.. let go.

And Etoiles has had enough at that point, leading to an eventual break out for Phil from the hands of the Federation once he has enough info. There‘s a couple of other people tagging along and just imagine Etoiles breaking open a door and just seeing Phil right there — even if still separated by either reinforced metal bars or glass, just wishing for Phil to hold on.

Silly idea that randomly popped into my head, anyways AJAKKA

General consensus :

Very big vouch, will be adding it to my playlist pile and rattle it aggressively around

Love the designs in the new comic! How would Richard's later years look like in the AU?

I actually haven't thought about how the boys would look like or what their lives would be outside of my Humorously Recreating Historical events--especially since the timeline is very compressed so everyone is basically speedrunning 30-40 years of Events in like 1-2 teenage summers lol. I wrote a lot of thoughts below (also going into overthinking of How Burger King Universe even works), TLDR the binary is he'd either be a Dead Teen who rocked out a little too hard and made the wrong random person mad or he'll grow up and become a completely normal guy with no relation or connection at all to the historical Richard the lionheart aside from that tumultuous period, but to do so one has to exit the story I make in my head hahaah

Burger King Edgyverse : In this verse it would prob sort of be one of those really edgy teen narratives that follow the Richard timeline of he goes to the crusade concert, has massive interpersonal drama stemming from the 10000 personal and familial issues that escalates and catastrophizes all the relationships, goes home, tries to fix things, continues to have massive drama, maybe comes close to fixing it but then ends up dying really randomly out of some weird karma situation IDK maybe it's like the legend where some kid who he forgot about HATES him and then idk hit him with their car or smth on Châlus street while he's busy beefing. And then everyone is finally like damn.....he was a hot mess but he did some cool stuff so now we are all going to watch his videos and think Abt his life from another angle recontextualized and we now think he was cool now (PR internet movement gets built up. ). idk I'm a bitch who loves weirdly anticlimactic tragedy so that's one universe.

Kind of is my processing and sticking to the main points of the historical Richard life which always struck me as very Dramatic and almost cyclical, which Is very fun for me. Idk there is something very "cursed" about all the family members and their ends and relationships so following up with that (in a more modern sensibility way) is fun to me.

ALTERNATIVELY:

I also thought about...what if characters in the Bk universe aren't cursed to that eternal return...idk. I had a funny thought earlier like that Geoffrey in BK universe doesn't die, he just becomes self-aware of and chooses to exit bc he's tired of the bullshit hahaa (tv equivalent of actor having to leave the show). In my mind, for the Narrative, some people do have to die, namely in my mind Junior does die in BK universe and shifts the mood from haha sillie goofy conflict to more strained and bitter. After all it IS an AU. Maybe BK Richard can leave being "Richard" timeline behind and be just a guy in an unrelated story who grows up past the predetermined historical event timeline parallels and can be a normal person with average life sort of thing. But that's beyond my scope since I'm mostly interested and focused on reinterpreting specific dynamics in that timeline, and deviating too much is when characters feel less AU and more distant and become different People to me (which would be the point...the historical figure must die for a person to live? Idk.

I know this feels like a weird distinction to make, and prob plenty of ppl probably see my delusions and think it's ALREADY so deviant but its more internal like in my mind I like having specific connections to historical stuff even if it's a weird tangled thread heheh. [May draw all this stuff but right now I kinda got a small artblock and have been busy a bit lately]

Well since they are all living with them in their home since in my au, bob survived [obviously] and he kinda just hangs around tryna not get caught by police again in the same town but more on the outskirts [man's is a little dumb]

Then Sal [self insert] moves into town

[I made the reason they moved there specifically because usually they have to move around a lot before because they always seem to attract chaos so they have to leave before the people around them find out something is not human bout them, and they heard this place has rumors of weird shit happening so they we're like "that sounds perfect" since it could help them blend in better and keep attention from themselves, they usually like hiding that they are a shapeshifter at any opportunity they can but if u asked they would probably hint towards it] btw the cult is still very much apart of the lore that's also what Sal is tryna stay away from

But after all that when bob and sal met it took awhile before bob stopped trying to kill and eat them all together and instead after that he kept breaking into their house to annoy them so he kinda just lives there now.

But both Bob and Sal try their best to stop each other from doing stupid shit all the time even more now with kids.

First with Shape

I feel like bob would find the baby out and about and he just comes home and Sal just goes

",,,What's with the fucking baby did u steal that??"

They would be so confused but once bob says he just found them, they would obviously keep the kid around

They are mostly iffy with kids in general since they never thought of being a parent and doesn't see themselves as a parental figure or a family man,

But they find the kid not so bad

When they find out that Shape is also a shapeshifter it really didn't change their opinions on them much since truly they can't really be surprised, they just had to think more bout the process of being a shapeshifter Intels and how their gonna handle the bad side of it and how they can keep Bob from freaking out about what horrors he may see

But no matter what they will protect the kids and will like causing destruction with them, their not a trickster type shapeshifter for no reason.

With Lucy

When they find out that bob as a bio kid it would not really shock them that much but it would be more like "wow we've been together for this long and u haven't told me u have a kid yet smh keep ur secrets I guess"

They would mostly be fucking annoying since bob didn't tell them this before hand before Lucy shows up so they could've be prepared

But no matter the place they live at can hold a family

Obviously they would accept her in their not just gonna abandon a kid or leave bob for this, they usually just go with the flow with most things anyway and weird shit always happens to them so their fairly alright with the happenings

They may seem unwelcoming but really they just like to joke around and just has a dead face they can't help

But with Lucy's appearance and obvious powers they would help her out they know a thing or two bout out of control powers like their literally in their adulthood of a shapeshifter and still doesn't got control of somethings like when they goop when or show facial expressions with white markings unintentionally when they get big emotions, they know its hard to hide it

They really couldn't care less who her other "parent" is they don't see family as just blood relations and if she happens to be a cursed demon from the cult or something they still wouldn't back down from their relationship with the kid

[All in all really they just go with the flow and as long as the kids will join them on their regular fuckory sometime they don't mind keeping them around.

They are all so very silly together. <3]
