how better to describe my love for the Mighty Nein than "one of my favorite episodes was the one where they needed to stealthily climb up/get down a fucking huge tree only for it to get Very Loud And Chaotic Very Fast Due To Competitive Tendencies And Poor Decisions".

Except that describes TWO completely separate episodes (and trees), one involving romantic shenanigans, a baby roc getting hit on the head with a staff, and a shitty leaf costume, and the other involving a good ole footrace and also a bullet to the ass. No, no enemies had a gun.

Thinking about Lestat seeing Louis’s eating patterns as a waste of his gift/himself while Armand gives Louis food that he literally can not enjoy or digest just so he has something on his stomach

You can be aware of issues a show/game/movie/etc has but you don't need to be aware of it *all* the time, you shouldn't have to justify yourself liking it every time you go to talk about it.

You shouldn't have to feel like you're the worst person in the world just because you like something that happens to have problematic stuff in it.

And you're setting yourself up for failure if you go into something immediately looking for all of the bad in it, you're setting yourself up to be unable to enjoy it! And if you do manage to enjoy it it'll likely just feel wrong because of that!

I'm begging y'all not to consume *everything* critically and to sometimes enjoy things uncritically.

Curious to what are your brief thoughts on Daisy being Luigi’s “canon love interest” as opposed to all the many many ships people have of Luigi (coming from an asexual person that doesn’t ship lmao)

I'm not big into shipping either, but if I had to choose... Luaisy is my favorite Luigi ship by a landslide, so I'm quite happy with Daisy being the canon love interest. On the rare occasion I do ship characters, especially ones I identify with (such as Luigi), it's on the basis of personal attraction: Bowser? Does nothing for me. Peasly? Does nothing for me. King Boo? Does nothing for me. Dimentio? Does nothing for me. Princess Daisy? HOT DOG! OOOH YES! Yes please! Put my boy directly into the big strong arms of that curvaceous firecracker! Let her smother him in love and adoration!!! Weirdly enough, my second favorite ship is Luigi x Morty.

I wouldn't call Morty "sexy," but to me he has an attractive personality. He's a confident, energetic, imaginative eccentric who is too invested in his art to care about the drama going on around him, or the huge cash reward for Luigi's defeat, and when he does meet Luigi he doesn't see him as someone to mock or fear like the other ghosts do, rather he sees him as something beautiful... something he wants to implement into his films. Like... that's really sweet? it's a rarepair, but I'm a fan. Just two softhearted, artsy weirdos who stay off to the side, and look at the world in their own special way, y'know?

watching two dozen interviews of wes ball talk about how he made the maze runner movies is genuinely such a pleasure to watch. it's so so clear that he deeply loves the content of the maze runner books while still understanding that they're fucking insane and makes next to no sense. the vision he has for the movies are unparalleled, the way he slims down the books while still upping the character moments is so impressive!! he was able to capture the heart of the series while still making it really accessible to a general audience. it has a clear trilogy feel to it, which a lot of trilogies do NOT have. and the best part is the cast LOVES him, you can tell just by the way they describe and poke fun of wes that this project would NOT work without him. also the way the cast NEVER talks about dashner is so fucking good. they're like 'omg there's wes, the genius, doing a one man show haha so silly, ily wes' and then it hard cuts to someone being like 'james is on set a lot.'
