I've been wondering about, Lestat was he always that heartless or living as a vampire made him become so cold (with Claudia other humans) I don't mind spoiler,I could read the book,but I'm a slow reader,and I really need to understand why he is like he is?

So - I come from the books, and my opinion is informed through them. Just as a note. And then:

It's been confirmed by now that certain events of season 1 will be revisited, and that "it will change how we think about everything in s1" - since this is a tale. A tale which broke at the end of season 1. Jacob has said at the TVA panel that "Louis is trying to regain his true memories". That just in real short.

What this means though: No, Lestat was not that heartless or cold, and definitely not as shown. That does NOT mean he wasn't an asshole (at times), or even abusive. The abuse is in the books. The fighting, too. But the tale has been told for a purpose, and that purpose will yet become clear.

We will yet get to see the "real Lestat". In season 2 we will get Armand's POV of his and Lestat's origins. Which will shine an even different light. In s3, we will get Lestat's POV.

Lestat is not cold. He is ... intense. "A lot." He is jaded and he has been lonely for a long time. He was raped into this vampiric life, and heavily abused in his mortal one. He has had run ins with the old covens, and has lost both his fledglings by the time he finds Louis. He has a temper, and he cannot stand being ignored.

In the show, Lestat has been a vampire for much longer, and he has been alone much longer. That did shape him, more than being a vampire did.

But what we saw... was a deliberately painted picture of Louis trying to prove why they had to kill Lestat. He did not really want to continue the tale with Lestat in Paris. He wanted Lestat to stay dead in the tale. But Daniel interfered. And then Armand did. (And that's where we're at, at the end of season 1^^).

There are... a LOT of moving pieces to this show, its characters, and what is to come. We have only seen part of it.

Lestat is caring, and loving, and protective. Funny and a theater kid. He loves music, and art. He is also fierce, and can be a real asshole. I'm sure we will still get to see aaalllll the aspects of him in the show.^^

For now... the tale will shift in season 2 - and our view of the characters - ALL characters - will shift with it.

I can tell you more if you want to, but... Lestat, the canon Lestat and the Lestat we will get to see in upcoming seasons - is not cold^^.

A little late because I didn't manage to finish it in time and then wanted to drop it completely, BUT I picked it back up and completed it!

The colourful grassland out in Hope County holds so much beauty Aiden never really noticed before. Funny that all it took was a war — a cause he now dedicated his life to.

Though, he didn’t exactly expect to be needed for this. But he is not complaining. The silence is comforting. So far into the Henbane Region, away from all this mess. The Project, the Resistance, and everything in between.

They had more Peggies with them at first — uh, Brothers and Sisters — but Faith sent them away, leaving only her and Aiden. He’d lie if he said that he wouldn’t feel a little safer with more Chosen around. Who knows if Laurie is going to show up.

The Deputy.

The grip on his rifle tightens when she comes to mind. Aiden hopes that the Deputy will see that she is fighting the wrong fight. That she’ll see the light and put an end to the conflict.

In the background, Faith is roaming over the flower field, her dress gently swaying with her movement. One would only ever see her with Bliss flowers but today she decided to collect all different kinds of flowers. Right now, she’s picking lilies. White ones.

“Lilium candidum, more commonly known as the white lily. While lilies come in many different colours, such as yellow, orange, and red — the Madonna lily is the purest of them all. It symbolizes modesty and innocence of the soul. And yet it earned the name ‘flower of sadness’.”

Aiden listens intently. He didn’t expect to get a lesson in botany, but it sounds intriguing enough. Especially when narrated by Faith.

Her fingers carefully brush over the white petals.

If the agitation didn’t keep him on high alert, the Chosen would’ve questioned the sight. Is it real or just another Bliss dream? The Siren looks more like an angel to him.

“Do you think something so pure, can be so woeful?”, she asks.

One cold shiver runs down Aiden’s spine and takes all of his tautness with it when he realizes the question was directed at him. Jacob taught him that Faith’s words are never to be questioned. But what does the protocol say for questions she has for him?

Faith makes a beeline and now stands close to him, allowing for direct eye contact. No matter how hard he tries, he can’t take his eyes off hers. The green is hypnotizing, in a strangely gentle and comforting way.

Is this another test? Or genuine curiosity?

To not risk anything, the Chosen answers with a counter question, “Is sadness something negative to you?”

She tilts her head but shows no sign of confusion on her face. The soft smile still lingering on her lips. Her hands are neatly clasped behind her back. The answer to his question seems to be obvious to her.

He gives in, “I think sadness can be something positive, in its own way. It shows that the person is emotionally affected. That there is a deeper meaning behind it all. If there is no happiness nor sadness all that’s left is indifference.”

No words follow but Faith is still eagerly listening. Obviously, waiting for the answer to her question.

Aiden clears his throat, “I do believe purity and sadness aren’t mutually exclusive. On some occasions, one can even lead to the other.”

That is when her eyes drift away and the smile drops slightly. Not a spontaneous question, seeing as the answer gave her reason to think.

“Depending on the circumstances”, he adds.

Then, she puts the lilies away. While the Herald rummages through her pile of flowers, she starts humming. The melodic sound is as ever soothing.

“Do you think something pretty can hide an ugly truth underneath?” Another question from Faith.

She pulls a yellow flower from the basket. At first glance, it seems to be a dandelion but at closer inspection — after she hands it to him — the petals are different.

She continues her little lesson, “Tanacetum. It symbolizes protection, resistance, and health. Beneath it though, the core reveals itself to be poisonous.” Faith’s voice has just as much venom in it as the word itself.

Aiden would ask her why she picked the flower in the first place, but the Project most definitely has good use for poisonous flowers. And everyone has their role to play, including plants it seems.

“Everything that is pretty, has a secret. Something dark that it’s hiding. That’s why it is pretty. Otherwise, it can’t deceive. Which it does to survive in this endless circle of life and death. After all, life is all about survival, is it not?”, she asks, putting the flower back.

Only the strong survive.

“It shouldn’t be”, the Chosen mutters under his breath.

Within a heartbeat, Faith grabs one of Aiden’s hands, caging it between her own. “Our home is being poisoned by those pretending to be saviours — disguising it as healing. It is them who have turned it into a fight for survival and then put the blame on us.”

The Resistance. If only they were able to see the truth. If only his sister would have followed him.

“Don’t let yourself get fooled by its shell, by its façade. It cannot give you what it promises.” The Herald’s view is fixed on their conjoined hands, softly squeezing the Chosen’s hand. “But once we enter New Eden, all of this will finally be over, giving our lives a new purpose.”

The contact makes him feel unsure, but at the same time, there’s warmth spreading in his chest. This sensation shouldn’t come over him. When Jacob finds out —

“You know”, Faith starts, her lips curving into a smile, “When I think of you, what comes to mind is protection, of course. But, also healing. True healing. You took the step. The leap of faith. You wanted to be forgiven, to be reborn. And you succeeded. Because you had faith.”

He had faith. He still has faith. So much work, so much remorse wrapped him into a cocoon of misery, unable to find a way out. Then, faith found him. Ironically, his faith is standing right in front of him.

A selfish thought. He mentally shakes it off.

She continues, “Much like the Achillea, or Yarrow as most would call it, you healed. Something you decided to do all on your own.”

From the pile of flowers, she hands him red ones, which he assumes, are Yarrows.

“The red ones fit you best.”

Ok I'm going to expand this gamer AU because after reading the forth book I love it even more.

Big agencies like Fittes and Rotwells and such lik the BIG ones are platforms that host games and streams and videos, like YouTube and Steam and Twitch. And usually they will hire other companies for games they have and want to promote.

Lockwood and co and other independent agencies have their own platform and play what they want. Usually on smaller streaming sites or they make their own.

Lockwoods parents were like film producers that's where Lockwood gets his big personality in gaming. He's got his own streaming website started by his parents and then grew from George who he became friends with and decided to start it. They live together in Portland Row streaming. Mostly George likes to do cheats, decoding and similar stuff, very interested in Viruses.

Lucy didn't game much, when she did she played on her sisters computer little things. She was young still but found Agent Jacobs which is a smal streamer local really hiring for some younger people t help his videos. And so Lucy did, spending years with him growing the small channel. What exactly happened I'm unsure but Lucy got the script for the next episode and something didn't feel right... She tried to bring it up with Jacobs and was shoved off only for them to get scammed, hacked, violate guidelines and get shut down.

And with enjoying streaming and picking things up she tried to find somehwere she could go for this. On her crappy computer at home from the money at Jacobs she tried going around other streamers trying to find someone to be with unable to really do it herself with lack of funds. Getting rejected by everyone she found one offer on such a late slide on hiring of Lockwood and co. Having a public call (like zoom) on a day they requested everyone turn up she joined the call.

George groans over the mic and this girl is screaming and yelling at the camera smashing her desk when George just says bye and kicks her out the call fed up of being screamed at.

The tests Lucy goes through are like coding stuff, general algorithms and various things George throws at her trying to get herrialed up. And gets hired.

She finds it quite hard with hercrappy set up but they start kinda small mostly Lucy and lokwood with George organising everything in the background, going on discord calls and hanging out.

After a good few months Lockwood invites her down for a few nights at his so they can try a better set up they were doing. They call her most of the tran journey, she didn't tell her mum and feared the spanking once she got back and it was mostly lockwod reassuring her.

She stayed in the attic and has her own set up in her room, she gets more energetic with all this new stuff and isn't crashing every 5 mins.

Skipping a bit I'm sure y'all are bored but yeah as saying George is more behind the scenes or the comic relief in streams, Lockwood is quite funny but mostly driven to win while Lucy enjoys just being herself.

George prefers fast paced games, strategic first person shooters, lockwod more into single player story games like portal and such, Lucy likes a bit more relaxing games like Minecraft and stardew with a mix of some fighting and Holly enjoys the relaxing stuff Lucy likes and nicer games, they all try to get her into more adventurous stuff.

As someone who rebloged, skull is an ai on Lucy's computer csusei love that idea, a sentient virus on her computer but seems to help??? It's kind of a Half-life but the AI is self aware thing.

Viruses are a big problem nowadays on every device and especially streamers get repeatedly hacked and that's where most of their money comes from, from helping people with general computer stuff and viruses.

Twilight Re-watch Notes Pt. 1 - A Contest for the Worst Movie Quote in History

I'd like to think I'm funny so please enjoy my scene-by-scene notes from a recent Twilight Saga re-watch.

Hey Catherine Hardwicke, opening with the death of an animal was probably not the best choice but go off I guess??

There is a lot of general Bella awkwardness that I'm skipping over here but the scene in gym class is so horrifically, painfully uncomfortable that I almost passed out from the second-hand embarrassment.

Jessica trying her best to be fake nice to the human embodiment of a crumpled soda can: "Aren't people from Arizona like....really tan"

Bella with all the cadence of a child who just found out Santa isn't real: "yeah..I guess that's why they kicked me out"

I'm not gonna go into the biology class scene because god knows tumblr has beaten that particular horse to death. BUT the scene in the administration office immediately after that is a TRIP. Edward has one of his most dramatic lines here when they won't let him switch classes: “I’ll just have to endure it” ?!?!?!?!?!?! This is INSANITY, he sounds like he's going to burst into tears like Edward please chill you aren't even being a little subtle.

I will never get over Bella trying to put Ketchup on her burger and then just???? giving up???? when it doesn't come out after she limply shakes it approximately once.

“HOW YOU LIKIN DA RAIN GIRL” Is our first contender for the worst and most unnatural line in movie history, and trust me there are plenty more.

Bella accusatorily saying “you were gone” to Edward as if this dude who she met for approximately 30 minutes 2 weeks ago owes her even a PALTRTY SCRAP of an explanation about anything???????

Actually, this whole scene is a horrific nightmare of awkward intrusive conversation:

“You’re asking me about the weather” HOE WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GONNA TALK ABOUT YOU DON’T KNOW EACH OTHER

“hey did you get contacts” WHO JUST ASKS THAT?!?

and of course; “it’s the fluorescents” [RUNS AWAY]

Charlie and Bella have the only organic-sounding dialogue in the entire movie. Any awkwardness they have is BELIEVABLE father-daughter awkwardness and not like "I'm being forced to film this against my will" awkwardness like every other exchange in this film series.

Bella asks Edward ALL OF ONCE about him saving her from the truck and Edward gets so haughty and smug thinking that Bella won't figure it out

“you’re not gonna let this go are you?” “no” “then I hope you enjoy disappointment” [storms off] MY DUDE LITERALLY 2 SCENES LATER SHE FIGURES IT OUT IN 3 GOOGLE CLICKS

“I had an adrenaline rush, it’s very common you can google it” contender number two for the terrible dialogue award.

Edward saying “if you were smart you would stay away from me” AFTER HE APPROACHED HER LIKE FUCK OFF [skeleton throwing its own skull gif]

Kstew got a lot of flack for her performance in this movie but when she has a good partner to exchange lines with she SHINES. The scene with Angela and her at the beach where she tells her to ask Eric to prom is GOOD. EVERY scene with Charlie in THIS ENTIRE FRANCHISE is GOOD. It is nothing but pure misogyny that Rpatz didn’t catch any flack for his truly, horrifically awkward performance

I cannot believe Stephanie thought it would be a good idea to have Edward save Bella from potentially getting gang r*ped like I get it girl is about the drama but still this is just a TOOOUCH too far

Or was he just going to bust up in the holiday inn, metaphorical guns blazing & toss Bella out a window???

This fight scene between James & Edward is VERY poorly choreographed and you can practically see the stunt wires pulling on their clothes but no one is surprised..this is Twilight after all.

Who the fuck starts the fire in the ballet studio if Carlisle & Edward are with Bella, Jasper and Emmet are holding James's arms and Alice is ripping his head off???? Esme and Rosalie aren't there so the only explanation is that Emmett's power Stephanie never told us about is his ability to start small, controlled, indoor bonfires with his mind.

Hell yes, and I’m REALLY hoping he’ll be returning in the future:

There wasn’t many dark skinned POC in BL3 that weren’t villains or ended up dead, it was something that scratched at the back of my brain a bit as I was playing. 

The cast was diverse and fun but you really could not have gone wrong by adding more surviving/protagonist POC to it, so I’m really hoping that’s a direction that will continue in the future, you know? It would be great!

Clay came outta nowhere to really staunch some of the more boring sections of Eden-6. I don’t know about everyone, but I felt that while that planet had some of the best content, it also had some of the most drawn out and bloated parts. He was a saving grace that kept some of the slower segments interesting, and he did something I LOVE to see a well developed side character do - he actually padded out the entire universe a little. 

BL3 gave us the most expansive look at the BL world that we’ve gotten, but it was still limited to the specific areas we visited/planets etc. 

When background/side characters give you small bits of info that help you understand there’s *more* than what you are seeing, they pad out your experience. Your horizons and understanding of the world your being immersed in improve, and Clay was fantastic for that! 

Not only was he a well written, funny, charming and witty character, he had a REASON to exist.

An ex intergalactic smuggler turned lawmaker having been caught redhanded by Jacobs and given a chance to better himself, who’s loyalty to the family meant turning down the massive bribe offered by Aurelia. 

Think about that, think about how much that tells us about facets of the BL universe in such a great package:

We know that intergalactic smuggling is a real thing, and likely involves junk / valuable components from crafts and stations destroyed during the corporate wars considering Clay was found scavenging.

We know that what we heard about Montgomery Jacobs is not just hearsay, he was a good man who wasn’t blinded by his own power and authority, that chose to give this smuggler a hand up rather than gunning him down. 

We know that even in a universe where everyone is the hero of their own story, there are people who are genuinely loyal to a cause. They do exist, even in this harsh a life.

I think we could have done with having a lot more of Clay, weather that was more side story with him as the game progressed ( his mission line that slowly made you think *he* was going to end up being the enemy then red-herringed you was fantastic ), or for him to end up on Sanctuary 3 as part of the crew. 

Sanc 3 was a massive waste in general, I think a lot of people can agree on that and have raised it already. It was implied in marketing that the B team and many past characters would be joining us on it, but it remained noticeably empty in places for the majority of the game. 

Sanc had a huge amount of potential and having new characters constantly join us on it and bulk it out as we progressed through the story would have added a much, MUCH needed level of camaraderie to the raiders and given us something to really want to fight to protect. 

I’m genuinely hoping we see a lot more of Clay in the future, I thought considering the setting that he would have been a clear fave to show up in DLC3, so was surprised he didn’t. 

Definitely deserves to be as well liked a character as he is though, lets keep our fingers crossed we get to meet him again.

half assed timeline for teen wolf ithaca below the cut? absolutely -- there might not be dates for some things bcus im still figuring out the logistics.

january 21st. ithaca catalina ramirez is born. her mother is maria ramirez and her father is jacob ramirez. she lives in harmony until 14 years of age, when she meets the wrong group of people and surrounds herself with unhealthy behaviors. her relationship with her parents become strained and she becomes slightly resentful. bullying in school for her abnormal appearance starts, and she becomes shy, reclusive, withdrawn.

16 years of age, shes arrested for the first time for vandalism. a few months later, breaking in entering [she literally stole someones tv for shits n giggles and i find it so funny]. both times her parents bail her out -- for the third time of getting into a nasty fight in public, her parents are called, but they do not answer. they do not want to help her as shes spiraled down too far of a bad path. ithaca sees her mistakes but is too self loathing to do anything to fix it. 

17 years of age, she accepts a dare from her friend group to steal araya calavera’s silver revolver. it nearly goes well until araya wakes up and spots ithaca with the gun, and alarms raise. she runs out for dear life, only to be tranqued by severo calavera as shes running through the streets. she falls over, paralyzed and after some sinister banter, he shoots her. ithaca nearly dies before derek hale intervenes, asking if she wants to live. she accepts his terms and he bites her, transforming her into a werejaguar -- surprising to them both. 

not long after, she disappears from mexico and leaves with derek hale to move to beacon hills and resides within his loft. struggling to process her newfound amplified senses and confusion, suffering from severe hallucinations and nightmares, she leaves in the middle of the night to unknown locations. this is the discovery of her ability to shift into a true night-black jaguar. for about of month, she is unable to shift out of this form and lives within the woods to hunt for food and often raids inconvenience stores to also find some sort of sustenance. 

after regaining her strength and getting a hold on her abilities, she manages to transform back and returns to the loft with hazy recollection of the time before. she then transfers to beacon hills with a cleared [altered identity] background and her records are sealed. who she was in mexico is hidden information and she now has a clean slate to start fresh. although having a slight grip on her abilities, under the effects of the full moon, she is still very volatile and even more unhinged due to her temperamental nature. yada yada yada, she becomes a mercenary when shes an adult.

Morris Delancey- Son of Hecate. Morris feels uncomfortable with being Jack's brother, but he learns to accept it and even grows close to Jack and his friends. He's not the best at magic, but his ability to control the Mist is unbelievable. Morris is surprisingly different from Oscar. He's tough because of the lifestyle he was forced to grow up with before finding camp, but he is a bit more approachable compared to his brother. Morris tries to be more open at camp, but he always feels like he's letting Oscar down. He always craved approval from his brother, so he keeps any interaction with others that's even slightly friendly a secret. Because of this, he has a few friends. Secretly, Morris is a book nerd. He loves reading, he feels like he can just run away to a world where everything is alright. He never reads when Oscar is nearby, or anyone really. He mostly sticks to reading on his bunk at night. Because of how he acts in front of different people, Morris sometimes loses a sense of who he really is and it drives him insane. Morris is creative in the ways that he can be so many different people at once and still keep it all in control. He tries to use the Mist to hide most of himself from others, but they are all demigods so he has to put forth a lot of effort.

Spencer "Specs"- Son of Hades. He's unusual social for a child of Hades, but besides this it makes sense. He has a darker side that he reserves for times when the people he cares about are hurt or in danger. Specs is very aware of himself. He feels awkward because he's so sarcastic and he jokes around sometimes, so he struggles with self esteem. He's very optimistic and hopeful though. This distracts him from worrying about how he is around others. He's very patient and considerate of others because he knows what it's like to want to be better than what you already are. He's similar to Romeo since he likes helping others, but he works better with being a listener instead of things like camp tours or showing a new camper the ropes.

Elmer Kasprzak- Son of Demeter. Elmer is unbelievably peaceful, unlike half of his siblings and similar to the other half. He can be intense if he needs to be, but he's more of a peaceful camper. He's helpful, but he prefers his friends and being outside more than anything. Elmer tends to bottle up his emotions because he doesn't know how to truly express himself. He doesn't want to scare off any of his close friends because of his emotions, so he doesn't really open up much. Elmer likes to think what he has is enough, in a sense that he doesn't go looking for danger, so he's not very ambitious with camp competitions or quests. Elmer likes his life at camp and he wouldn't trade it for anything.

Benjamin "Buttons" Davenport- Son of Hephaestus. Buttons has OCD. If he seems something is slightly off, he has to fix it. There are noises that bother him and activities at camp that just make him twitchy. He can't really focus, like all demigods, so he plays with the buttons in his pockets that he carries around in case he needs them, hence the name. Buttons likes to be busy because he can distract himself from memories from his past. He hasn't had the easiest life, but he tries to keep a smile on his face because not a single person at camp has had a good life, not one. Buttons is always a valued player during Capture the Flag because he comes up with the most outrageous plans that somehow work out. He's creative and initiative with using what he has around him to create a plan. He works with Davey during Capture the Flag to make the ultimate plan.

Mush Meyers- Son of Apollo. He's not as bright and sunny as the others, but he's still a character. Came to camp with Davey and Les because they were like his adoptive family. His mom died when he was little and the Jacobs always took care of him. Mush didn't really take on a roll as a brother in the family, but he was always there for both Davey and Les. Mush doesn't really talk with anyone other than the Jacobs and a few others. He's generally quiet and this makes it difficult for him to communicate properly. Mush is never really bothered by much, but when he is he almost completely shuts down. He found that archery is a good outlet for dealing with his inability to properly communicate. 

Jojo de la Guerra- Son of Bellona. He's slightly different from Katherine because he came from a different background. He lived a great life with his dad and step mom, but he lost both of them to a car accident unlike Katherine who just ran away. He's like Katherine in a sense that he prefers camp Half-blood over camp Jupiter. He can often take things for granted because of the life he lived before camp. He sometimes forgets who he is, whether it be who he is at camp or who he was before camp. He likes to tell stories, which is odd to his friends. He's surprisingly good, so he'll lead campfire stories after they sing songs. He can relate to a lot of the younger kids that had good lives until camp. He helps them adjust and comforts them. He's oddly approachable for a child of Bellona, but he's just as smart and battle ready as any other child.

Finch- Son of Athena. Finch is very intelligent, but he doesn't show it often unless he needs to. Finch has been at camp longer than any of the other "Newsies", as the boys like to call themselves. Finch is quiet and he always has a slingshot at his side, which is useful for scaring off the Hermes pranksters and the rest of the jokers in the group. He occasionally joins the gags, but only when it's against someone he has a small vendetta against. He is a very careful kid, although he's very intelligent. He's focused, for a Demigod with ADHD, and he has a very powerful mind. Finch is classified as depressed because he's been at camp so long, but he works hard on trying to be happy as much as possible. His friends support him and give him as much or little space as he needs. His mood swings are unpredictable, but he works with Albert especially to be happy. He wants to be happier, to move past the memories of living at camp since he was little. Finch likes to feel like he's in control of just himself. He knows he can't control everything, so he settles for just himself. He expressed himself through writing, and hardly anyone sees his writing. Finch isn't very trusting of anyone outside his friend circle, which he keeps exclusive.

Mike and Ike- Sons of Hermes. They are worse than Race. They are basically the Stolls, maybe worse. Both worry that they have to be the pranksters and they have to be funny, so they try too hard to be people they aren't truly. Yes, they are mischievous, but they are also very reasonable kids. Both are worried that they'll lose each other over anything. It's happened before and even though they don't show much in front of everyone else, they both worry for each other constantly. They mostly stick to their group of friends and they like it that way. To sum it up, they are a more mischievous duo than the Stolls. Their greatest weakness is their loyalty to each other and those they are about because they are willing to do anything for each other. This is also their greatest strength.

Hotshot- Son of Hades. Hotshot is opposite of Specs and more like how people picture a son of Hades. Hotshot is a very competitive camper, but he's also discreet. He's like a behind the scenes guy. Spot's his best friend, so they work well together. They are a more physical Davey and Buttons during Capture the Flag. He doesn't socialize much at all, but he's extremely intelligent. Basically, Hotshot keeps to himself and he gets by easily. Hotshot is very paranoid because he was with Spot on the quest that took one of their best friends. Both have PTSD, but Hotshot has more paranoia than anything. Hotshot can mostly handle his paranoia and PTSD by himself, it's how he copes, so he works better by himself. He occasionally confides in Spot, but it's rare. While Hotshots past tends to make him falter often, but he mostly has it under control because of his determination of never let the past repeat itself.

Henry- Son of Hebe. Henry tries to drink in his youth and he enjoys life as it is, although he won't just be lazy. Henry is very self reliant. His father owned a Deli and he wants to start his own Deli after his father died. He's always been self reliant and he's very knowledgeable of the Demigod world. He's very creative and also very understanding of all campers, even Oscar. He might not always like them, but since he knows so much about the world they live in, he knows that everyone acts the way they do for a reason. He helps campers like Morris become more comfortable with themselves at camp. Henry is very close to all his friends, but he isn't afraid to give them all a piece of his mind if they do something too stupid or reckless. Despite how he is with friends, Henry feels lonely without his dad. They shared an unbreakable bond and it haunts him to think his dad is gone. His biggest fear is losing those he loves. He only really cooks and bakes because of his dad, but he doesn't mind.

Memories she wishes she could forget but knows she never will/should (in no particular order)

- almost killing her mother amidst her curse rage; two big sharp shards of glass on her face and neck ought to do the trick but somehow Mervina’s mother powered through (like a true queen). Later on, her mother tried to turn it into a less unbearable memory by reminding Mervina that she did the impossible; she stopped the curse without drawing blood on her, just by pure will. It’s the first time in all its centuries of existence that the curse had been stopped without drawing blood.

- killing a man with her own hands; it was self-defense, and only Merlin knows what he intended to do to her, but it’s fact that she panicked upon seeing herself corned in an alleyway at seven years old with an older man, too tall for his own good. She didn’t know what possessed her (she has a sneaking suspicion that maybe it was the curse overtaking her but she can’t be sure of it) but she didn’t lose time in punching him in the balls and when metal glinted across her eyes she didn’t even need to think, she just grabbed the nearest trash bag and blocked his air ways. She had never sweat so much until that moment, and she has never cried as much as she did when she realized he wasn’t breathing.

- watching her cousin lose control of the curse; her little cousin had been ten at the time, not much younger than Mervina on her third year at Hogwarts, when she hadn’t been strong enough to hold the curse at bay two days after Christmas. Her parents hadn’t been fast enough, and it had took her a mere thirty minutes to get her whole house on fire and only five minutes for her family to arrive. Luckily, Mervina’s uncle and aunt had been close enough to the exit for them to be saved but before they could even think about her little cousin, they heard a sickening ‘pop’ and although the fire hadn’t extinguished, it’d stopped growing. She’d heard from her mother, in tears, that her cousin’s head had been blown out. Merv had nightmares for months (at least she had Rowan there when she got back to Hogwarts).

- watching Jacob leave; he left very early in the morning. If it hadn’t been for Mervina’s observant nature, she wouldn’t have noticed Jacob at dinner, distant and a little bit lingering. When he was leaving she didn’t even need to speak, he felt her watching him. As he was leaving, he turned around and smiled at her, promising that he’d be back before she knew it. She had her first official mental breakdown later that day and it was the debut of her short hair.

- breaking up with Merula in their fifth year; she knew that her decision was best, and in time Merula would admit that it too. Even so, she wished that Merula had at least looked angry and had insulted her with cusses as colorful as her hair. But she had only looked hurt, pained, like being punched in the chest after being kicked in the gut. Mervina had left her quickly after, politely and as kindly as she could. Both parties cried about it for some time after, Mervina with Rowan and Merula with Ismelda.

- seeing Rowan break for the first time; it had been more than a year of them dating, and Merv, always the observant, noticed how Rowan always backed down whenever things got too hot between them. Mervina didn’t mind; if Rowan didn’t want to do it, then they wouldn’t do it. But she was more scared than anything else, really. What if Rowan was okay with doing it but just not with her? They would soon talk about it. Not long after they’d try it. Rowan just wasn’t having it. Merv saw the raw panic and asked the question “Rowan, do you even like the idea of doing it?”. Took a second too long to answer, so that was answer enough. Mervina had been relieved; she just didn’t like it in general! Rowan, however, felt alien. Abnormal. Like she was broken. And she was after some minutes but it was more broken as in ‘breakdown’. Merv used her mother’s words; Rowan was different and that’s okay. It ended up being ten times more stressful than she’d liked but life works in a funny way. Still, seeing Rowan so panicked had shook her, and that night she held her tighter than before.

- the panic of going to battle after so many years of peace; the Second Wizarding War gave them a scare. They’ve been living together for a few years now, and despite all the banter and arguments and unwashed laundry, it’s been peaceful. However, at the face of war, new arguments arose. Rowan couldn’t do it, even if she was a teacher at Hogwarts already; she wasn’t a fighter, and the few times she has fought she never felt good afterwards. Not even Merula had berated her for it. Merv and Merula had initially planed on fighting but with all the panic, Rowan being alone, Merula hesitance and fear of not being strong enough and turning against them, Mervina’s still ongoing training of controlling her powers, how powerful of a weapon she could be in Voldemort’s hands. In the end, they helped in background stuff but didn’t fight; they couldn’t fight with so many things clouding their thoughts. They never slept much during it, taking turns, always huddled close together.

This is all I have for now; I may update it but I felt like writing something!!

"The chemistry between me and Kenny, put together with the dialogue from Eric, David--all the guys, loaned itself to what was happening. Also, any director that would come up would see this on the first day of shooting and get really excited and stretch themselves a little farther. And production stretched themselves for us...a lot. They went the extra mile for us because they saw what was happening and they weren't pulling the plug after fourteen hours. They were giving us that extra half hour to shoot that extra take of that extra scene and everybody was into it."

"We could not have had a better place in time to do it because everybody on the crew, from the craft servicemen to the people in the production office, would all come to the set to watch the scenes being played. And then the screening rooms in LA were packed because they wanted to see it. It was really special. Kenny and I were just going at it. We were having a good time, we knew something was up, and we knew it wasn't going to last a long time so we just continued to do what we were doing. In fact, one interesting thing that happened is that when we were shooting the last episode, that was one of the worst weeks in Vancouver. We all knew Sonny was leaving and me for too, it was really gut-wrenching. I had made a deal to do this movie and I couldn't get any farther away from Vancouver than Greece, you know what I mean? I had already made the deal and it was really solemn. The vibes were thick." We started to shoot the last episode and every hour it would get better and better and better. Specifically what happened is that we shot the last part first. We shot all the exteriors, the chase sequences in the cars, and then we went into the theatre and we stayed in the theatre for five days. We used different parts of the theatre for different sections of the episode, so what we did was shoot all the end stuff first because it was easier to shoot it there. The wild thing is that everyone would come into the theatre, take their seats and watch this play. We were covering it from a lot of different angles because it was so well written that no matter how we played it, it got better and better. Naturally when that happens you shoot the shit out of it which was what was happening take after take. And then this funny thing happened. They had to shoot my death and naturally I had this stunt guy go and get electrocuted and I had to do the closeup. I actually watched myself die. It was really, really strange and really bizarre. Everybody in the crew started crying and it was really heavy. It was over." "The funny thing that happened is that they wanted to shoot an extra episode, so they had to shoot an extra episode the following week and the joke was that we were shooting a ghost. I was not Sonny anymore. I was Ray. Sonny was dead for all of us. We all watched him die and it was really insane." "The other thing that happened is when we shot 'Good Lovin'. We had a director named Robert Iscove and Robbie was a dancer and choreographer, and I being a dancer and a singer, it lent itself to what we did. We didn't have anything laid out on paper, but we would go to the specific sections of the song and set and say, 'Okay, let's break it up into four bars each shot,' and I'd say, 'I'm going to face that way.' We didn't know what we were going to do, but they would roll the camera, roll the song and I would destroy and do whatever in one section of the place and move on to other sections, and really wing it and we had it all together. It was really wild. Nobody had ever done it like that before. That's insane to do that and get away with it, but we were on such a roll at that point." It had come from Eric Blakeney's show, 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell' and what had happened is that the show went on as usual, but the last fifteen minutes of the show was the bachelor party and the day after the bachelor party we started shooting the second half. That night we spent the whole day shooting the bachelor party which you never hear of in television. Even Cannell came up, sat at the top of a ladder so he could see the whole thing. Everybody was there and I remember doing that speech in one take and we moved on. By the end of the night we were in a lot of trouble. Everybody was in overtime, but nobody cared. Steven Cannell gave this great speech from on top of the ladder, 'There's magic happening tonight and I want to thank you guys for what you've done for me and what we've done for each other.' He gave this great speech like, 'Go ahead, knock yourselves out,' and everybody was into it. We had a young Canadian crew and they really got spoiled. Rarely in my life do those things happen; rarely are you on the set and looking in the eyes of the crew and you're aware of what's happening. Needless to say, it took six months for me to finally separate from everybody. We were all calling each other all the time. I had not had the opportunity to see the episodes because I was away. I called Kenny and everybody and found out that the show was great." "I really didn't realize the power that it had until I got back to America because I was traveling around and everybody was like, 'Good morning, Mr. Steelgrave.' I remember arriving in the New York airport and people went nuts over me. I was turning around to see who they were goggling over. When the reruns came on it was even worse. Boxes of mail arrived at the office addressed to me. It was insane and crazy time. I thought, 'Wow, we really must have done it' and it's been wild ever since."

"Half the people who are fans caught it on the reruns. CBS put me on this promotional tour which was unprecedented. Nobody ever went on a promo tour for reruns, but the mail was so incredible that we went out and did this tour and people were giving us these Sonnyisms. I was in Brooklyn over the summer and I had this guy come up to me...I always have people come up to me and they're always big fans, they know this and they know that, but this guy knew every line of every show. I'm telling you, I was impressed. He did Sonny better than I did. He knew every line, and I mean obscure lines, he knew all of Vinnie and Sonny's dialogue." "One thing that happened is that Kenny and I worked so closely together that he knew all my lines and I knew all his. So we would do impressions of each other of what we did because we didn't get a chance to watch dailies. We would start doing each other's lines from different episodes, and we would play a game in which we would try to guess what episode the dialogue was coming from. What you really wanted to see was Ray Sharkey doing Vinnie Terranova and Ken Wahl doing Sonny Steelgrave. Then we transcended that and took it to another level. This is something that has to be in the book because it wasn't on film. We were having such a good time and our creative juices were flowing, and in between takes we created these two old guys named Archie and Sam. They were really Sonny and Vinnie, but they were like 90 years old and they farted all the time, had bad manners, loved tits and ass, you know, those kind of guys. They were stuck in an old actors home where they would discuss their days in Vancouver on WISEGUY. Those were the *real* interesting guys." "I got an award from the Viewers for Quality Television and it was unprecedented. I look back at it now and it's really very simple. That's part of the reason I've got Eric Blakeney on my new show, because I understand that these guys understand the guys they were writing about, which was about the human dilemma. They were the ones writing about themes that came out of the Bible that were very simple. That's the truth, you know. They would take things out of the Bible and Eric would say, 'Well, this is Caesar's arc, this is the Caesar week,' or this is Jacob's week or Job's week. And he really would use very simple dilemmas in terms of betrayal, honor, honesty, just real simple things that happened between men and men or men and women. And it all worked for us, because no matter what happened in the scope of things, Vinnie Terranova was a liar and he was not brought up to be a liar. Here he meets this man and they fall in love with each other because of their common denominator: morality. When people become friends, it's like an unwritten law that they know that morally, they're the same person. They know that they would not cross that line and there really isn't a price that they are willing to pay; that they're not for sale, and that makes for a bond of friendship. I think we played with that bond every week. We tried to figure out how far we could take it and the reason that the last two episodes are so powerful is that we took it to the limit. *Betrayal* That's what made it work." "I remember a San Francisco paper that had this great quote. They called us, I don't remember the exact word, but it was real sexy and it dealt with love  between two guys without homosexual overtones. It was the first time you got to see that. It was the first time that two guys got to look at each other with 'Nights in White Satin' in the background, no dialogue and them just looking at each other with no homosexual bullshit. That's a testament to David Burke, Eric Blakeney, Steven Cannell, Steve Kronish, because they wrote the material. Really, all I had to do was act it. I would love to be able to say I deserve all the credit, but that's not true. It was all on paper for me." "Every week I would come down to LA and would battle with these guys about structure, about what we should be talking about, but I would never write dialogue. I would say, 'We should be talking about love and not about bullets.' And they would get that. Kenny and I would fight for different things in Vancouver, but it was never really a fight. It was something that they always understood to be real." "A DEAL'S A DEAL was supposed to show Sonny kicking the dog and I have a knack of kicking the dog and making you feel sorry for me. That's what acting is all about. That's just a little trick that I do, although it's not really a trick. It's something you're trained to do. I was constantly getting that, but listen, there was nothing they could do to get me to perform it a different way. It's not that I was stubborn, but that's just the way it was happening existentially. Hindsight, everybody's a genius. While we were doing it, everybody was just doing the best they could. We shot an alternate ending and I think it was to placate Kenny and I as our swan song together. When we did the episode, Kenny and I were always getting all this fan mail and we were saying, 'The audience wants to see Vinnie and Sonny have a good time. That's what they want so now we have an opportunity to do it.' A DEAL'S A DEAL was a whole new episode, so we figured we could do Sonny and Vinnie on the road. They pick up a girl hitchhiking and they both fall for her and it's guy stuff. Let's get out of the gangster mode and do a friendship episode and they were like, 'No, no, no, no.' They really wanted this episode to make Sonny look bad and it didn't work. What happened, though, is they gave Kenny and I a little crumb, which was that they allowed us to shoot a tag...we shot two tags. One that was in the show you saw, and the other tag was Kenny and I in an empty ballroom at night with two girls we had been up all night with. We were partying and having a good time. The camera would start at the end of the ballroom and eventually end up real close on us. We would laugh, we'd do bumps and grinds with the girls and we'd slow dance with them. And there was one guy up there playing the saxophone and that was it. Kenny and I would look at each other and then at each other's girls and he would get a feel, like kids, and we would laugh at each other. He was with a black girl and I was with a white girl who was like a real show broad. It was really the essence of who these two guys are. We'd look at each other, give each other the high sign and start making out with the girls, and then he walked away with his girl and said, 'I'll see you, Sonny.' It was like real schoolboy stuff. I think it was a little too risque for the guys in LA and I really think it was to placate Kenny and I." "I warned them. I said, 'Don't you get it by now? Nobody is ever going to dislike me. We're eight hours into this show already and it hasn't happened yet. Do you really it's going to happen in one hour? Let's go in the other direction and make it sloppy.' They said, 'But Sonny is a murderer. He's about to kill Patrice.' I said, 'I'm doing it because he deserves it. They're going to love me killing him.' 'No, no, no, no.' Well, sure as shit...." "It did have twinges of THE IDOLMAKER. I think David Burke went and took ideas from it. I remember saying to him that there were a lot of similarities, so what they did was add a subplot about my brother and my feeling bad about him with the rifle. So, again, I wouldn't let them paint me into a corner. As long as you've got the emotional stuff going, you're all right. And I think that in doing all of this, they've really found a way of making old shows on television. If you do back and look at PLAYHOUSE 90, BEN CASEY, and the early detective shows, they're really about people. What we did in the 70's was put in a lot of action and I think if you look at the top ten shows in television today, you'll see that they're people shows. If you write good dialogue and you have good actors, say it, then all you have to do is be on a nice closeup and you can get through an hour or half hour. We've explored that area in the action crime drama genre, whereas it hadn't been explored since the late fifties and early sixties. WISEGUY is an attempt to bring that back to television. I know for me it is. My new series, that's what Eric and I would like to do and nothing less than that." "I've got to tell you, a lot of what you saw in my performance was really Ken Wahl being so in love with Sonny, and he and I being such good friends that he really would give me these little directions. Sonny had most of the dialogue so Kenny was a listener when he was with me. If he had the time to listen he also had the time to see my performance and I would let him direct me. He would and I trusted him. He'd say, 'That take was better, I think you should do it that way,' and he'd give me these little things. He'd say, 'This isn't real, Ray,' Sometimes he wasn't in a scene and he would do that. I knew when I left Vancouver that I had left a little piece of myself with him and vice versa, and it was good that that happened. We probably could have gone on for a few more episodes, but I don't think so." "Once they killed me, it was over. In other words, after the fourth or fifth episode, Kenny and I came down to Stephen Cannell's office and said, 'Listen, we think we've got something. I'd like to stay for a little while.' Stephen said, 'I have sсript commitments, sets are being built, and I've got to bring in this new arc.' He was very nice to Kenny and I, came up to Vancouver one more time, took us out to lunch and explained to us how he would *like* to, but he couldn't take the risk then. From that moment on, I was gone; I knew I was a goner and just moved accordingly." "I was getting so much mail that I had to let people see Sonny again, only as an actor I couldn't come back from the dead. Kenny Wahl had a story that worked out perfectly for him at both levels [White Noise?]. For me, it was just about going up to Vancouver and having a good time before everybody broke before Christmas and it was a reunion. That's really, for me, what it was all about and for Kenny I think it was the same thing. I don't want to take a shot at it in any other direction." "You know, Ken Wahl's whole line in the entire show, the one that made me fall in love with him as an actor was when he said, 'This is about the law, man!' For one moment Sonny believed it. At that moment Sonny looked at him and knew it was over, like all the great heroes throughout history he was just waiting to die. That's the whole deal! That's all David Burke, and suddenly Sonny is talking like Abbie Hoffman and getting away with it." "Another thing that allowed me to know Sonny even better was, for the first time he talked about his old man, and they talked about their fathers. I remember when we were acting it out, I was like choking. I didn't want to cry, so I was choking, holding it in, but whew, it was real heavy. 'Last time I saw my old man he went to buy a cigar.' He's standing there telling Vinnie that even though his father had a bread truck and a route, that really there was no difference between both their fathers. It was *so* poignant. When I hear 'Good Lovin' I can't help but think of that scene; I sing it in my head. I remember we worked for weeks and weeks, David and I, trying to pick out a song. I remember the last one we found was 'Five to one, one to five, no one here gets out alive.' I wanted to sing that or a Doors song, something that to do with really deep dark stuff and David wanted 'Good Lovin'. I remember we argued about that for weeks, but then the one line made so much sense to me. Sonny was singing into the mirror, 'I asked my family doctor just what I had...I said, Doctor, Mr. MD, can you tell, what's ailin' me?' I said, 'Of course, that's the song. How stupid that I didn't see it.' That was an interesting thing that happened." "Remember THE MARRIAGE OF HEAVEN AND HELL and the speech Sonny had made when he was walking around the table? Eric Blakeney had a whole other speech written. About a week before we shot the show there was something wrong with that speech, something that wasn't right. What happened was Eric came up to Vancouver with his wife and little baby. I went up to his room to visit him and I remember being so caught up in the fact that he had this little baby. I grabbed the baby, picked it up out of the crib and smelled its head and we started talking about life, and that that was what life really was. The smell of that baby's head and how it's interesting that old people's heads and babies' heads smell alike, so the closer you get to the void, maybe that's the scent that emanates from your body. We got into this discussion about life and the meaning of it. Whatever I was telling Eric the next day he wrote into a monologue, so that monologue was really a discussion he and I were having about his baby's head. That's what it was like; that's the artistic freedom you got on the set that day." "It was a great part and read like an old 30s gangster movie and I knew it was important for me as an actor, not necessarily for my career. I didn't foresee that or think it was going to be great. I just thought it was a great opportunity for me to act. Part of the reason people fell in love with Sonny is that I played him at a time in my life when I had no choices left as Ray but to be honest in my life and my work and it was new for me then. I had just gotten out of the hospital and been through an ordeal in my life, and this was fresh, new and honest. I had to find the honesty in every line and I had to play it real and truthful, so what happened is that a lot of who I was seeped into that part. My values, morally, politically, ethically, socially, and it transcended just being Sonny Steelgrave, it became this wonderful guy. According to Les Sheldon, "We never try to outdo ourselves. We never wonder how we can top ourselves because we'll just get in our own way. We have gotten in a comfortable level of working as hard as we can with as much ability as each one can bring to the show and we'll continue to do that." But despite Sheldon's public voice of confidence there were some voices of concern. Stephen Kronish noted that, "The relationship between Ken and Ray was so comfortable and the show working so well that there were a lot of people saying, 'Well why are we getting rid of this thing? This is going so great.' But we felt that if we didn't do that, then what is Vinnie Terranova? He's not doing his job." Outspoken as usual, Eric Blakeney had his own opinion on what happened to WG after Sharkey left. "I thought after Sonny Steelgrave the series lost its edge and never got it back when we went into the Mel and Susan Profitt arc. I just felt that this was like writing for cartoons. These weren't people. These were psychological symptoms that had nothing to do with human beings whatsoever. We were putting on a freak show from that point on. I myself was never turned by helicopters landing on boats, James Bond cars and lunatic-psycho killers. They had nothing to do with people as far as I'm concerned. Everybody knows that the first arc was the best and there was no way to get it back, except to cast superstars, rock and rollers, Jerry Lewis, and so on. That's the only way they can get the P.R. and attention, by casting the flavor of the month. Someday you'll probably see Madonna and Michael Jackson as the arch villains." Now that Eric's mentioned it, Mel and his beyond extravagant lifestyle do bear a striking resemblance to the baroque villains from the Roger Moore BOND films. "The perfect analogy, you have to use sensationalism to sustain the series. Connery had the magic of the personality and the emotion. The series just doesn't have the emotion intact because Vinnie's not really forming those kinds of complex emotional relationships. His bad guys are clear cut to him. To me, the great thing about the series was the conflict between the good guys and the bad guys. You go undercover with a Mel and Susan Profitt, you know who the hell the bad guys are. Here's a guy who talks to his toes while his incestuous sister is putting needles under his toe nails. They're ordering everybody on the face of the planet killed and they make fifty million dollars a day with their drug empire. A DAY! There are many countries that don't make fifty million dollars a day. The whole thing was just completely fantastic and far-fetched." David Burke doesn't share his opinion. "There was a very strong reaction to the Steelgrave arc because this was new television. It was cutting edge and people were saying it was revolutionary and that whatever we did, we'd never be able to do it again. From our point of view, that's invalid. Why would we suddenly loose the ability to do what we were doing? I think what made the Steelgrave arc unique is that it was simply something we had never seen before. I think we've done much better shows since then, but television hadn't done what we had done before and that's what made the challenge, 'What's next for Vinnie? What is the natural growth of the character? It may not be as exciting, but if it's real, that's what important. Creatively we're the same people as we were in the Steelgrave arc. It wasn't something that we worried about." Director Robert Iscove observed, "No one quite knew where to go after Sharkey. He had become such an incredibly strong presence and everyone was saying in the reviews at the time that the show was so much Steelgrave, that they worried if you pulled him out of this, what do you have left of WISEGUY? Kenny proved them wrong."
