WILL ALBA’S IMMATURITY, RACISM AND ALLEGED INFIDELITY BE USED TO EXPLAIN THE SPLIT?

Regardless of where people find themselves on the spectrum, I am pretty sure they would agree on the fact that Chris and Abba are not endgame. Far from it. The question is not whether they will break up or not. It’s definitely not a question of if. It’s a question of when. It’s a question of how. I already wrote a post about whether or not Chris’ fans will be held responsible for the ending of the shitshow. And given what we’ve witnessed coming from certain blogs last night, it still seems like a very valid and likely option.

The very questionable medium article…

I will not discuss the credibility of this publication for the simple reason that until yesterday, I had never heard of it in the first place. And I suspect I am not the only one. So I would argue that this fact alone is telling in itself.

But one has to wonder whether a fan/troll wrote this piece. Or, whether this was written by someone from Chris’ team passing for a possessive fan to hint at a potential break-up. But even if that was true, people shouldn’t expect a divorce announcement so soon. They could be breadcrumbing for a while, like they have been doing since the beginning of this “relationship”. And why wouldn’t they drag this for as long as they can? We know Chris and Abba are both desperate attention seekers and I am pretty sure they will want to continue with the charade for as long as it can benefit them. However this article is more than questionable. And for many reasons.

Why it doesn’t pass the test of credibility from a PR standpoint…

This article is completely over the top and extreme in the picture it depicts. Chris is seen as this poor innocent victim and Abba as this super uber arch-villain. Given the optics of this relationship (he looks like her old uncle) and the power dynamics at play (he is a powerful Hollywood star and she is a no-name actress from a small country), I don’t need to say that the picture they are selling in that article is a PR nightmare in the making. The caricature is not only absolutely grotesque, but it also reeks of misogyny.

If people don’t follow other celebrities, I’d like to mention the case of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, which happened fairly recently. He and his team tried to hurt her by doing a very insidious and over-the-top smearing campaign against her but it backfired on him big time. What is interesting is that Sophie Turner did make a lot of strategic appearances with her bestie Taylor but she never lowered herself to play those ugly tactics. She chose to remain silent which hurt Joe even more because again you can’t fight against someone who doesn’t want to fight back, it makes you look like a bully. Obviously Abba is no Sophie, she doesn’t have her career, her popularity or her large fandom but you get the point.

And what also makes this article totally implausible is this: ”Despite his past struggles in the realm of romance, Chris remains optimistic about finding his true soulmate and starting a family.” First of all, no one would ever say that publicly after getting divorced even if the marriage only lasted 5 months and was non-legally binding. It’s a time to regroup, to collect yourself and to reflect. Also it makes him look like an unstable neurotic mess.

But what this article provoked was quite interesting…

An all-out war between the seemingly psychotic Team PR & Team Real blogs

Majorscammer and her band of goonish cultists completely lost it last night (interesting sidenote: the tone and rhetoric used by all these mods is now completely identical). They were always unhinged, mean, arrogant, and insulting (“bitchy” according to Majorscammer herself) but it got even more insane last night as they patted themselves on the back for having been right all along despite having lied about pretty much everything for quite a long time. They even called their counterparts from Team Real out by names and attacked them violently. Of course, Team Real blogs responded and posted an article on Medium, saying Chris and Abba were still together and proving that people could post anything on that website. They also proved they looked just as insecure and irrational as their counterparts Team PR blogs. If it wasn’t pure show (and it clearly is), we should recommend them to commit themselves to a mental institution.

But as we have witnessed since the beginning, those Team PR and Team Real blogs were always meant to fight. It was always about feeding the discourse, keeping people engaged, riling them up to distract them from the actual truth. And with yesterday’s show, those teams tried to keep the passion going as I think fans are getting tired of the obvious BS. It’s getting so repetitive, there are not so many twists and turns and let’s be honest Chris and Abba are not the most fascinating protagonists.

What main purpose did that questionable article likely serve?

The answer to that question seems pretty straightforward. All we have to do is to read the last sentence of that article, which is in bold characters in case we missed the point:

“Chris will attend the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2.”

Look at what has been fed to the fandom recently:

A sight of Chris’ doppelganger with no ring

Abba skiing with her friends without the ring

Chris posting Dodger in MA for Valentine

Chris posting pictures of himself in LA without his wife (she recently said in an interview that this is where she lives) from a month ago

All of these are hints and breadcrumbs that Chris and Abba might be splitting up. Maybe they are. Maybe they aren’t. But the point is all eyes will be riveted on Chris as he speaks at the Con in Seattle. I should mention that this conference will be a live-broadcast on YouTube. How convenient, isn't it?

Will he wear the ring? Will he not wear the ring? We have seen that movie before, haven’t we? Yes, I believe we have!

Finally deciding to post my oneshots I've written. I'm still new to writing so be patient, please.

Pairing: next door neighbor Chris x YNreader

Title: The Next Door Neighbor

It was a peaceful day. You cleaned your apartment, took out the trash and even pampered yourself. And since it was your day off, you didn't have anywhere to go so this was the perfect opportunity for you. You scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floors, vaccummed, cleaned the kitchen and the fridge. By 2pm, your whole apartment was clean and shiny.

Now all was left to do was laundry. As you started the first load, you hear the music starting. "Oh, for fuck sake," you curse, rubbing your nose bridge. "Not again."

Your next door neighbor, albeit new, he would play music everyday, to the point where it disturbed your sleep. The music was mostly pop and rock. You didn't mind it for the first few days when he moved but now, it was starting to get on your nerves. The music volume raises a bit and you've had it. This ends now.

Marching your way out your apartment, you bang on the door next to yours. After a beat, the door swings open revealing the man you saw a week ago. Shirtless. Holy....the abs were defined, the arms. Oh the arms. You snap your head at the very man himself. "Can you please turn the music down?"

He surverys you from toe to head before the corner of his lips turn up. He's smirking? What the fuck? "Well, since you asked nicely," he turns and shouts. "Alexa, turn the volume to 15."

You hear the Alexa turning down the volume. He turns back and says, "There. That should do it."

"Thank you," you replied.

But as you turn around, you see your ex walking towards me. You groan internally. "Joe, what are you doing here?"

"Y/N, I wanted to talk," he says.

You roll my eyes and step towards your apartment but Joe blocks the way. "Y/N, please."

"No," you replied firmly. "Now move."

"Why? Am I not good enough?"

"Oh save it," you snapped. "I don't need to hear this, especially from you." You take a step and he suddenly grabs your arm.

"I'm here to talk. So let's talk."

"Joe, let go!" You wriggle your arm but he doesn't budge.

And you forgot mention that this is all happeneing in front of your neighbour. "Come on, Y/N. It'll be like the old times."

"Let her go."

You and Joe freeze and turn to see your neighbor. "This doesn't concern you," Joe states.

Your neighbor grabs Joe's arm and pries it off your arm. "It does when she's my girlfriend."

Your eyes widen, blinking at your neighbor. Since when? Is what you want to ask. "Girlfriend?" Joe asks.

"Yes."

You could only stare at your neighbor.

"Is this true, Y/N?" Joe asked again but was now looking at you. Anger and sadness in his eyes.

Your neighbor turns and looks down at you, almost saying to play along. You intertwine your hand with your neighbor's, loving the way his warm hand fits yours. "Yes."

"I don't believe you," Joe says.

"Hey, now. We just told yo-"

You cut your neighbor's words short by cupling his face, going on your tiptoes and crashing your lips to his. You caught him by surprise but god, his lips felt like heaven. But as he opens his mouth, you forget about everything around you. Your mind was going through so many emotions.

Your heard Joe's footsteps walk away. You snap out of your thoughts and push your neighbor away. Running into your apartment, you close the door and slide down on the floor, breathing heavy. You touch your lips. That kiss......

An hour later, the music turns up again as you were trying to read a book.

This time, you knock on his door. And when it opens this time, he's wearing all black. You had to take a second to collect yourself. "The music?" He asks.

"Uh, yeah."

"No can't do, something is wrong with Alexa."

"Oh?" You say, your hands itching to fix something.

But you'd rather take that black sweats off. "Would it be too much to ask if I could fix it?"

He steps aside, an invitation to come inside. You walk inside and could feel his stare on your ass. You had a nice ass. You worked for it every day in the gym. "It's in the kitchen."

You make a beeline for the kitchen, catching a glimpse of his room on the way. You spot the alexa and immediately unplug it before plugging it back in. "Can I get you anything? Coffee? Tea? Juice? Water?"

"Water is fine, thanks," you replied.

As Alexa rebooted, he places the glass of water in front of you. "Thank you," you say and take big sip. "I think it should be fixed now."

"Alexa, play Lego House by Ed Sheeran at volume 10." Alexa plays the song at a vey low volume

"I never got to ask your name," he asks. "I'm Chris, by the way."

The accent was doing things to your brain. You were a sucker for accents and Australian was your number 1. "Oh, it's Y/N."

"Y/N," he says your name. Now THAT was music to your ears. "Say, that was some kiss back there."

"Oh," you nervously laugh. "Sorry about that. Joe, my ex, will probably leave me alone now."

"Seems like it too," he replied and walks towards you till he's an arms lenght away from you. "Because if you were my girl, I wouldn't even consider having you as my ex."

Your cheeks warm. He smirks. "But I'm not?"

"Pity," he tsked.

You gaped at him, rubbing your thighs because you were very uncomfortable. Your brain only wanted one thing now. A release. But he was your neighbor! Whom you just met!

A very hot and sexy neighbor. You clear your throat. "I'd better go." You walk out of his apartment and go back to yours, ready for bed.

But sleep doesn't come. You toss and turn, trying your best to fall asleep. But you were too aroused at this point to sleep. Watching a movie didn't help. You glance at the wall you shared with Chris and groan. Why did you have to kiss him? And why did he kiss you back?

Frustrated, you march to his door again. As you go to knock, the door swings open. "Y/N? What are you doing here?"

You look at him, wearing grey sweats, black curly hair on display and shirtless. That was all you need for the gears to turn in your head. You step inside, cup his face and bring him down on your lips. He moans at the contact as his hands snake around your waist.

You were now flushed against him as his hand curl around the underside of your hips, pusbing up making you jump on him. With his mouth still on yours, he leads you both to his room, shutting the door with his door.

People say you should be nice to your neighbors. Well, in this case, he was nice to you. Inside and out, making you scream his name which echoed throughout his apartment.

The similarities between closeted right-wingers and Chris Evans

Alternative title: "Dear Mr. future president Evans,"

Recently, I saw how Chris Evans met Joe Biden. For people who don't know. Chris Evans has a political online platform called ASP. This was not the first time he met a famous politican but meeting the president of the United States is something else. It should be clear by now why he does that... Anyway, it reminded me of the gossip I found recently:

As I mentioned in my last big blog post, about Chris' potential boyfriends, I am not really a fan of marvel and didn't know much about him during his time as Captain America. I only got interested after he started the cringeworthy PR relationship in November 2022. In 2018, I was made aware of how many closeted celebrities exist and Mr. Evans being so clumsy with his Portugal bride gave me the perfect opportunity to uncover this Hollywood facade.

As you can see, I have also been asked by a lot of people why I think Chris could be closeted (either gay, bi or a straight guy who doesn't want to commit and just sleeps around). I will answer these questions in relation to today's topics: I. The Portugal PR relationship is mostly done for his future political career (or that was the plan before the backlash) II. The behavior of closeted right-wingers resembles Chris Evans' III. Portugal Bride was not the first PR relationship rumor but why does a rich, attractive and alleged womanizer like Chris need PR relationships all the time? As I always say. Everything on my tumblr is alleged. I merely summarize what people speculate online and give my own opinion on that.

Tim Scott, a failed GOP 2024 candidate and alleged closeted gay man, announced on X that he got engaged to a woman:

As you can see from the screenshot, no one's buying it. It is rumored Tim Scott is doing this because he will be chosen as Trump's vice president. People online claim that Tim Scott being gay has been talked about way before the first "Why doesn't have Tim Scott have a girlfriend" articles:

I heard about Tim Scott being gay and being pressured to have a PR girlfriend around the same time Chris pretended to have gotten married in September and that made me think... I can't find the comment anymore but I remember someone of Chris' fans on the LSA forum suggesting that Chris' "A starting point" political platform isn't just for shits and giggles. Apparently, he wants to go into politics after his acting career. No idea how successful he will be now with that after his latest movie flops and the Portugal relationship having led to lost followers on his social media accounts because it made him appear as a "dollar store Leonardo DiCaprio" but in general..., this idea isn't too far off. Remember the Terminator aka Arnold Schwarzenegger? An action hero became the Governor of California and with Chris Evan's fake Captain America image, pretending online and in interviews to be like Steve Rogers, he could sway a lot of people too!

Remember. The alleged marriage wasn't the first PR relationship of Chris Evans. At least according to his fandom, when they explained how he and Portugal Bride met, he was involved in several other PR relationships before:

According to this person, the relationships with Christina Ricci and Minka Kelly from long ago, were planned by a PR team too and it adds up with a blog post I found years ago about how Minka is allegedly a beard for my back then favorite actor Jake Gyllenhaal. So his PR team not only allegedly had several options next to the Portugal Bride (like Monica Barbaro) but they were apparently also responsible for his faked relationship with Lily James? It is rumored that Lily wanted more from this PR arrangement from back in 2020. Possibly real love? The social media site Icons+ reports that "Lily James left Chris Evans to be a millionaire's "other woman"". She basically publicly "cheated" on Chris and many gossip sites reported on it. Did Lily do that as revenge because Chris solely wanted PR and rejected her? Kinda like "if you don't give me real love, I ain't giving you positive PR either". It makes me wonder though. Why would a heterosexual man privately reject a pretty woman like Lily James after wanting to be seen with her in paparazzi photographs after all? Odd.

Yes, Chris' alleged personal Paparazzo with the name Jesal basically admitted that he was called to do the pictures with Lily back in 2020 (Nowadays, he seems to be busy with the Portugal PR relationship as you can see from the screenshot, where he was called for a christmas party Portugal Bride and Chris attended). This reminds me of of another failed 2024 GOP candidate who is rumored to be closeted. There is a medium article regarding Ron DeSantis called "Is the GOP gossiping that Ron DeSantis is gay?", how most if not all of the GOP party know about his alleged homosexualty:

As you can see, not just his own party but the general public thinks so too. In fact, they speak about Ron DeSantis' being closeted the same way some people speak about Chris being allegedly closeted:

The replies to this dailymail article about Chris' and Portugal Bride's relationship-reveal, demonstrate that people think that both Chris and Ron overplay the alpha male macho tough guy image, solely to cover their true sexual orientation.

But PR relationships can also have another function. As I pointed out on my blog before: There are many heterosexual men I know who just wanted to sleep around but because of societal pressure, they pretend to be monogamous. The latest political example of that seems to be Gavin Newsom who has been in the news for being an alleged serial cheater. He was already caught cheating back in 2007. On X I found this summary of his latest shenanigans: (TRIGGER WARNING: mention of SA)

Why do I mention Ron DeSantis and Gavin Newsom in relation to Chris Evans? Because they all have one thing in common. A fake stable married man image. Look at the header picture of DeSantis and Newsom on X. Newsom holding his son in his harm. A few weeks ago, DeSantis had a header picture of holding his children's hands and the latest picture, you can see right now, also shows his wife and kids again to portray the family man image while allegedly being someone completely different (a closet case = Ron, a cheater= Gavin). Sorry not sorry but when I saw those header images combined with the rumors I knew about those two guys, I immediately though that Chris is not so different. He also calls the paparazzi, so he can be portrayed for the public as a guy who has a stable relationship and doesn't randomly sleep around in all kids of places.

As someone pointed out on the Lipstick Alley thread called "Chris Evans Relationship Theories 5", he used to go to parties similar to the ones seen in the movie "Eyes Wide Shut" but these rumors were allegedly scrapped by his team when he became Captain America. Why did they worry so much about this specific gossip? Was it true after all? Apparently this goes back as far as 2006:

I have no problems with that because I am pro sexual liberation. I actually point this out so we can normalize this and let people be who they really are, so that they don't have to do these fake relationships anymore.

I mean, remember the screenshot from my "Chris Evans possible boyfriends" post? The user ShellyT20... how she described that a lot of PR relationships in Hollywood exist because the male actors either sleep with each other, have p-word scandals and/or are serial cheaters "but post fake romance stuff on IG and other public platforms. It gives a fake sense of normalcy and stability and shuts fans up for the most part as well as acting as a distraction." When I read this I got reminded of the public "beyond the blinds podcast" episode you can listen to on spotify. The one about the Hemsworth brothers. There it was alleged that Chris Hemsworth is constantly cheating. I wasn't surprised. He isn't my type but I can't deny that he is what most consider super attractive + tall + rich = in no way is this guy monogamous as a famous hollywood actor (LMAO the audactiy to even thinkt hat)... Sadly, when I confront some people with that... for instance Evans fans on LSA or X, most roll their eyes and don't believe that.... They were like: "How can a guy like C. Hemsworth, who posts social media posts about loving being a father and being married for over a decade possibly be such a bad guy"... ... ... ... ... Well and this the reason why Hollywood still fools you with PR relationships because most of you are gullible. You want to see men married with children and as long as the women are age appropriate, you eat it up. And all this goes even beyond these Hollywood celebrities and politicians the general public is aware of. Apparently, even e-celebs are in PR relationships/fake image relationships these days. The youtuber TheQuartering, who said he was partying with right-wing e-celebs said this about them last year: (TRIGGER WARNING: transphobic slur)

Just like how Chris Evan's fans are disappointed that he wasn't the internet boyfriend after all (his fake image for the 2010s) and started to date random young women like Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper, TheQuartering was disappointed too with his right-wing colleagues, who pretended to be committed husbands with children while actually being a closeted pride parade. The right-wing commentarors TheQuartering talks about are: Elijah Schaffer, Jack Posobiec and Mike Cernovich. When I found that out I was shocked. I was like "So even these e-celebs are basically "their own Hollywood club" and need PR relationships to function publicly". It really shows how deep gender roles are still ingrained in our society. That even internet-famous people have to have a family man image and portray themselves in a certain way to become "e-celeb-A-list". And if they don't, they will be denied that status.

I know it hurts that your favorite A-list stars are also wife cheaters and that their activism is most likely fake only so that they can continue participating in Hollywood orgies (Which apparently already happen on the e-celeb level). But at one point it had to come out and isn't it better to accept reality than to participate in and support these fake scenarios only to feel better about the world? Cause it is not just TheQuartering who exposed the fake image of the right-wing online community. Blaire White, a right-winger herself, pointed out the same. As people say, where there is smoke, there is fire:

In this video at 55:35 regarding Blaze Media, Blaire White spills tea about closeted e-celebs. It also includes orgies and drugs... like with our favorite super hero (allegedly).

Lastly, one of the most famous right-wing e-celebs is Steven Crowder. On his channel he had a video where he once admitted that he had a bisexual phase... a phase..

He also went so far and basically created beard twins. I remember clearly the video where he announced the pregnancy of his wife. He held up a picture into the camera from an ultrasound. It was like "See, I am hetero after all. Are you happy now?". That's at least my opinion on how the video looked like and it adds up with what peole usually say about him:

Honestly, if someone had told me that this text is about Chris Evans, I'd have believed it and so now we have come full circle. While I only know about Chris Evan's since the pandemic (As I said, I don't watch super hero movies), I am still disappointed. In some interviews, he appeared so adorable, awkward and different from other men in Hollywood (like when he was interviewed about his "Lightyear movie announcement" tweet on Jimmy Kimmel). But in the end he is no better than the closeted republicans. Portraying a conservative image of marriage while behind closed doors it is worse than a sitcom trying to convince you that canned laughter makes everything funnier.

Yes, there have always been rumors that his real personality is being "weird and awkward" and that he is not just acting in movies but also in most interviews. It goes so far that someone claimed he had been rejected on a date and that's why some people assume it is actually him who initiated the Portugal PR relationship and basically paid for it because he can't get someone himself through normal means. Are some people punished with their good looks?

IMO just like with the married right-wing e-celebs who do orgies all the time, it is also a bad idea of Chris wanting to become a father (at least according to his "sexiest man alive" PR narrative from 2022 which seems to be in the trash can now too).

But let's assume his PR team has that still on their minds: Not only would it be solely for his image (which would make this situation PR either way, even if the marriage were real) but according to all his alleged wild ways, he is also unfit to parent, it would be a disaster actually. Controversial commentator Pearl Davis described it very well. How some people just shouldn't be parents:

I agree with Vale. She would just be in it for the image of being a married woman and in our case... a married, monogamous, non-cheating family man. A user on LSA said that when you switch out "fake nails" with "fake teeth" in Pearl Davis' message, you will have the pefect description of Chris Evans:

I love his clothing style but a bi-peacock who is more interested in vanity and fake status will never be a good role model for children. As the saying goes: "You can't have it both ways"

I know this is all a tough pill to swallow but c'mon people. This is the year 2024 and at one point this fakeness just needs to stop. Celebrities, politicians and even social meda e-celebs... you are being fooled. And according to Hollywood insider and daughter of famous TV personality John Walsh, a lot of times, one partner of the arrangement is suffering. Is this really what you support? I don't and that's why I uncover all these PR relationships of the entertainment world because as a true progressive, I don't think that people should be judged based on outdated gender expectations like marriage and monogamy.

The closet kills... your real personality. I mean honestly, what do you gain from being remembered after your death as someone you never were? As Joan Rivers jokes at 0:43 in a short clip from 1966. This so called bearding has been going on forever. I don't think we need a 100th anniversary of this shameful practice. So please help me to expose this so that in the future, celebrities can become famous for truly being themselves.

In this year of 2023, we had so much Fall Out Boy astonishing amazingness that it's been very easy for me to forget the one huge disappointment for me of 2023, which was the Taylor Swift song. Like, it's funny because for years I really wanted a Taylor Swift / FOB collab, so it's amazing that I got the song and it doesn't make my list of, like, top twenty FOB moments of the year, because there were so many unbelievable, incredible, stellar moments of the year, like, WHO WOULD HAVE IMAGINED, the band got put on an album released by the biggest star on the planet and I shrugged, who cares?

I listened to the song again this morning, because I was like, Maybe I was just in a bad mood when it came out. So I tried to be more objective about it. And here's the thing: It's a fine Taylor Swift song. It has absolutely nothing to do with Fall Out Boy and Patrick continues to sound absolutely unrecognizable on it and I continue to hate it for that reason hahahaha. And it's extra-sad to me because it kind of made me over Taylor Swift, which is too bad, because I loved Taylor Swift, and I should be like, "Oh, it's just one song, whatever." But, I'm sorry, it's obnoxious to me to say you're doing a song with Fall Out Boy and then make Patrick Stump sound like that. Like, that is just insulting, I've got to be honest. Just don't do the song with Fall Out Boy. That would have been fine. And the song has drums and guitars, but they are not played by Andy Hurley or Joe Trohman, so honestly, what even was the point???? I always wanted a Taylor Swift / FOB thing because she says she loves Pete Wentz's lyrics, so that's what I wanted: an actual collaboration. What I got instead was whatever that nonsense was, where Patrick had to sing lines with a straight face that were like, "I want you now," or whatever, and I was like, This from the person who admires Pete Wentz's lyrics?????

I don't blame her for it entirely, I think the production on the song is awful. The way Patrick is drowned out in the production is just atrocious. Even when he finally lets his voice loose a little tiny bit at the very end, he's so far in the background, dialed down so much underneath her, that you wouldn't even notice him if you weren't listening very hard for him (which I was). But at the same time, I feel like she does that sometimes to her collaborators, that Lana Del Rey is almost nonexistent on the original version of Snow on the Beach and Chris Stapleton is nowhere to be found on I Bet You Think About Me. But neither of those artists are my fave, so it bothered me less. But once it happened to Patrick and I was thinking about it, it made me think less about Taylor Swift, and then that annoyed me extra, because I used to really like her, and now I just feel...annoyed lol.

So I was thinking about this whole thing and I was like, There's a lesson in this, too, and the lesson is to be careful what you wish for. But then again, not so much, because I also wished for a new Fall Out Boy album and that turned out great. So I think the lesson really is:

Appreciate the things you love when they come around. Fall Out Boy released a new album and had an incredible year and I had a blast with all of it, and I am really, really appreciative of that. It could have not been the way it was for me, but it was perfect. It was literally perfect. I feel so lucky, so fortunate, and so grateful, and that's really what I'm taking out of 2023. And, in a way, having this one moment in the Fall Out Boy year that I hated highlights how extraordinary the rest of the year was. That contrast is useful and instructive. Luckily, I hated one song. But I loved every other moment, and I really noticed it. What a year.

All I want for Extraction 3 is to go back to what the first film the superior movie.

Listen, 'bigger and bolder' isn't always better, as E2 showed. They lost complete sight of what made both the first film and Tyler as compelling as they were. The action was more simplistic and believable; the smaller budget and tighter filming style made it easier to get sucked in and feel as if you were part of what was going on. The spotlight was on the main character (as if it should be, hello).

It's the Tyler Rake show. It's not Tyler Rake reduced to a mere one dimensional character while building up other characters that should be in the background. We were given a phenomenal action character with the first movie; he had layers, he had humanity, he had emotions, a past that had driven to be the troubled and broken man that he was. All Extraction 2 did was minimize all of that. There was no real character growth. Tyler wasn't given anything to do other than be grumpy and kick ass. Chris is more than capable of carrying a film. He SHOWED that in the first movie. And E2 should have been his vehicle and his vehicle alone. Instead we got this stripped down version of him that was -in all honesty- very unlikeable at many points.

Don't even get me started on that absolutely horrific scene in the cabin with his ex wife. That acting was absolute shit and the writing was even worse!

They killed off the only other truly entertaining and appealing character. Yaz should have lived. I'll die on this hill.

Please let's go back to what made the first film so damn good. The lead carrying it and showing so many layers (and so much potential as a character!) and emotions. He should stand out and shine. Not be the complete abomination Russo turned him into in the second film.

We didn't need over the top stunts. We didn't need CGI. The one was way too goddamn long and laughable at some points.

Let's return to the roots. The Tyler that was compelling. Not the one that was at times, a complete and utter dick bag. Ughhhh that cabin scene! The second he opened his mouth and he started bullshitting to his ex, I wanted to punch him in the throat. And I never thought I'd say that.

Joe Russo wasted a wonderful opportunity with a character with so much potential. From a purely action standpoint, E2 was entertaining. Ludicrous at times, but fun for the most part.

BUT...

That it makes it nothing more than your average, dime-a-dozen action movie that out are out there today.

Extraction was different. It was special.

And they really need to go back and examine WHY and return to it.

what do you think of an asian danny (comics) ? i know we have pei (whom i adore) but how do you think danny as a character would change? (personally i feel like danny would feel less isolated in kun lun, maybe only dimensional differences, but would face more racism back in america. i think white danny is a better concept, to be torn in half between your nature(america) vs nurture(kun lun) yknow)

Hihi! Thank you for asking!

A few key points, just to start off:

I am not Asian myself, therefore I feel like my opinion on this topic doesn't really matter. (I also don't work for Marvel, so my opinion really doesn't matter.)

At the end of the day, this conversation comes down to the desire for more and better Asian representation across the Marvel Universe, which is obviously something we should all want.

Okay, now, on to the in-universe, Danny-specific stuff:

I would be perfectly happy with an Asian Danny, and I understand the arguments for making that change. I don't personally feel like it's a necessary change in this case, but I do get it, and I do think that the introduction of the Iron Fist legacy was very important; back when he was the first and only person to have defeated Shou-Lao, it was certainly much more uncomfortable that he was an outsider. (I will also point out that the feeling of being pulled in two directions--America and K'un-Lun--is something that he would still experience if he were Asian. Probably even moreso due, as you mentioned, to anti-Asian racism and anti-immigrant sentiments in the US.)

For me, the question is more about whether Danny should be of K'un-Lun descent specifically. Just making him Asian wouldn't make him not an outsider there, and that was the main cause of his alienation as a child. The thing that baffled me about Lin Lie being chosen as the next Iron Fist to presumably "fix" the "problem" of Danny's non-native status was that Lin isn't from K'un-Lun either. He's just as much of an outworlder as Danny, and at least Danny grew up in the city and had family there. (And obviously, that's not even touching on the fact that we already had Pei, who was born K'un-Lun.)

You stole something that belongs to K'un-Lun and you don't even know its worth. The last Iron Fist was an outsider. So was the one before him. Special enough that the dragon chose them...or callous enough to rip its heart out without respect." Iron Fist vol. 6 #2 by Alyssa Wong, Michael Yg, Sean Chen, Victor Olazaba, and Jay David Ramos

If Danny had been Asian but not from K'un-Lun, the bullying might have focused less on his appearance (he gets called "Snow Pea" and "Snowflake" in Living Weapon), but he still would have been an outsider, an Earther mortal freak, and his bullies would still have been angry that he became the Iron Fist instead of them. If Danny had been of K'un-Lun descent...honestly, I still think he would have struggled to fit in, since he wasn't raised in the culture. Wendell as we know him didn't teach Danny anything about K'un-Lun, and unless we considered the idea of changing Wendell's personality or past experiences, I can imagine that would still be the case if he had blood ties to the city. It would still have been something Wendell spent most of Danny's life trying to put behind him, and Danny would still have been arriving massively traumatized, and even with the knowledge that his ancestors had been from K'un-Lun, I'm not sure how much that would have fixed for him, or for his peers' perception of him. This is a dimension that is extremely difficult to access, and thus a very insular society. They don't get a lot of outworlders, regardless of their race or ancestry.

For the record, it would be easy to give Danny blood ties to K'un-Lun without changing a single thing about his backstory, due to the simple fact that we have no idea where Wendell came from. He was just some random orphan Orson stumbled upon in the Himalayas. It would be very easy for a writer to do a story arc in which Danny found out that his father (possibly even unbeknownst to Wendell) was born in K'un-Lun. Rather than retconning Danny's backstory to make him aware of this from the beginning, I feel like it would be a more interesting approach to have Danny discover a blood connection later on, in the present day. I am always a big fan of explorations of Danny's relationship to K'un-Lun, and this would certainly present new territory in that regard.

Ultimately, though, I agree with you in that I don't feel like this change is needed, or even that it would change much about Danny's character or journey (which I suppose could be an argument either for or against). He would still be that same guy caught between two worlds and not fully at home in either. My personal feeling is that I would rather see characters like Colleen Wing, Pei, Sparrow, Miranda...heck, even Steel Serpent...given more of a spotlight. As I mentioned at the top, what's most important is having strong Asian representation throughout the Marvel Universe, and there are a ton of fantastic, under-used Asian characters within the Iron Fist sphere who I hate to see buried under ongoing debates about this one guy's ethnicity, especially when those debates too often seem to contain incorrect information from people who haven't actually read many of the comics.

Again, thanks for the question! Obviously, this is a very layered and sensitive topic, and having lived through the heated conversations surrounding the Netflix show, it's something that is always on my mind.

As Trump and the GOP twisted themselves into knots to avoid admitting that Putin assassinated Alexei Navalny, President Biden met with Navalny’s widow—Yulia Navalnaya—and his daughter, Dasha Navalnaya. It is worth pausing here to acknowledge that Biden has proven himself to be a compassionate and empathetic person capable of understanding the suffering of others.

Those qualities are strikingly absent from Trump's warped personality—and from his MAGA supporters, who take their cue from Trump in all things. America deserves and needs a president capable of understanding the suffering of others.

After meeting with Yulia and Dasha Navalnaya, Biden said

Today, I met with Yulia and Dasha Navalnaya – Aleksey Navalny's loved ones – to express my condolences for their devastating loss. Aleksey's legacy of courage will live on in Yulia and Dasha, and the countless people across Russia fighting for democracy and human rights.

Biden later said,

This morning I had the honor of meeting with Alexey Navalny's wife and daughter. As to state the obvious, he was a man of incredible courage. And it's amazing how his wife and daughter are emulating that.

Meanwhile, Trump maintains his silence on the assassination of Navalny and his minions dodge questions about Putin’s responsibility by saying they “Don’t know enough to answer.” Hmm . . . these are the same people who raged endlessly against Biden based on an unverified, quadruple-hearsay document from a confidential informant who was not believed by his FBI handlers.

The embrace of Putin by the Republican Party is troubling because of the implications for the defense of Ukraine and the integrity of the 2024 election. We have already seen one attempt by Russia to interfere on behalf of Trump, and we are witnessing the real-time betrayal of Ukraine on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, Republicans are trying to pretend as though Alexander Smirnov never happened. Read on!

House Oversight Committee removes references to FBI informant under cover of night

Speaking of the now-discredited FBI informant, his GOP champions in the House initially responded to his indictment for lying by claiming that his information was only a portion of the evidence they had against Joe Biden.

But actions speak actions louder than words. On Thursday, the House Oversight Committee quietly removed all references to Alexander Smirnov’s statements from the Oversight Committee’s website. See Meidas Touch Network, House GOP Quietly Deletes Russian Disinformation from Impeachment Website.

It is not enough for the House impeachment caucus to surreptitiously remove references to a Russian plant from its list of evidence against Joe Biden. Republicans should acknowledge their error and apologize—but they will not. The US media, however, should be a different story. They amplified and promoted the Russian lies about Biden—and are having a difficult time admitting their error.

As Josh Marshall wrote in his editor’s blog in Talking Points Memo,

The story here isn’t that the “Biden Crime Family” nonsense didn’t pan out. That was always transparently bogus. The story here is how the U.S. again got bamboozled by transparent foreign manipulation and how the U.S. political press bought into it pretty much whole hog. That doesn’t mean they accepted all the claims. But they treated it as reasonable, worthy of a presumption of seriousness, a serious story to be covered as such. Even with the veritable forest of red flags.

Donald Trump and his MAGA legions have spent years shock-training reporters not to bring up anything else about Russian disinformation programs aimed at helping Donald Trump. But they’re real. They’re continuing. They’re actually working. . . . Reporters have been conditioned to ignore the clear implications of what we’re learning.

So, the House Oversight Committee can try to slink away under dark of night to conceal the obvious effort by Russia to interfere in the 2024 election . . . but the media should not allow Trump to do so. As Marshall writes, Russia’s efforts to interfere are “real, continuing, and working.”

Dianne Feinstein, the woman who represented California in the US Senate and was the longest-serving female senator in history, “blazed trails for women in politics and found a life’s calling in public service”, Hillary Clinton said.

The former New York Senator and Secretary of State, who in 2016 was the first woman to win the presidential nomination of a major US party, paid tribute to her fellow Democrat shortly after the announcement of her death. At the time of her death, Feinstein was 90 and still in office.

Clinton added: “I’ll miss her greatly as a friend and colleague.”

From the White House, Joe Biden saluted “a pioneering American.”

The President added: “Serving in the Senate together for more than 15 years, I had a front-row seat to what Dianne was able to accomplish. It’s why I recruited her to serve on the Judiciary Committee when I was chairman – I knew what she was made of.”

“… Often the only woman in the room, Dianne was a role model for so many Americans … she had an immense impact on younger female leaders for whom she generously opened doors. Dianne was tough, sharp, always prepared, and never pulled a punch, but she was also a kind and loyal friend.”

Gavin Newsom, the Democratic Governor of California, will select Feinstein’s replacement. Calling Feinstein “a political giant”, he said she “was many things – a powerful, trailblazing US Senator; an early voice for gun control; a leader in times of tragedy and chaos.”

“But to me, she was a dear friend, a lifelong mentor, and a role model not only for me, but to my wife and daughters for what a powerful, effective leader looks like.”

Feinstein’s “tenacity”, Newsom said, “was matched by her grace. She broke down barriers and glass ceilings, but never lost her belief in the spirit of political cooperation. And she was a fighter - for the city [San Francisco, where she was the first woman to be mayor], the state and the country she loved.”

There was some discord among the praise. David Axelrod, formerly a senior adviser to Barack Obama, pointed to recent controversy over whether, given her evidently failing health and absences which affected Democratic Senate business, Feinstein should have retired.

“How sad that the final, painful years will eclipse in the memories of some a long and distinguished career,” Axelrod said⁩. “RIP, Senator Feinstein.”

Many users cited a recent piece in New York magazine by the writer Rebecca Traister, about Feinstein’s declining years, which asked: “She fought for gun control, civil rights and abortion access for half a century. Where did it all go wrong?”

John Flannery, a former federal prosecutor turned commentator, was among those who had a rejoinder: “I hope some of those who hounded her in her dying days will remember her contributions.”

Many tributes highlighted Feinstein’s contributions to attempts to combat the problem of gun violence.

Though Feinstein “made her mark on everything from national security to the environment to protecting civil liberties”, Biden said, “there’s no better example of her skillful legislating and sheer force of will than when she turned passion into purpose, and led the fight to ban assault weapons.”

Chris Murphy, a Democratic Senator from Connecticut and a leading voice for gun control reform, said Feinstein would “go down as a heroic, historic American leader … an early and fearless champion of the gun safety movement as author of the monumental Assault Weapons Ban of 1994.”

“For a long time, between 1994 and the tragedy in Newtown in 2012 [in which 20 young children and six adults were killed], Dianne was often a lonely but unwavering voice on the issue of gun violence.”

“The modern anti-gun violence movement – now more powerful than the gun lobby – simply would not exist without Dianne’s moral leadership.”

From the US House, Maxwell Frost of Florida, one of the youngest congressional progressives, called Feinstein “a champion for gun violence prevention that broke barriers at all levels of government.”

“We wouldn’t have had an assault weapons ban if it wasn’t for Senator Feinstein and due to her tireless work, we will win it back. May her memory be a blessing.”

From outside Congress, Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, a pro-gun control group, pointed out that Feinstein was “one of the first among her colleagues to support gun safety – including Democrats”.

Inside Congress, as a government shutdown loomed, Feinstein’s desk in the Senate was draped in black cloth, a vase of white roses placed to mark her death.

From the other side of the political aisle, the Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins called Feinstein “a strong and effective leader, and a good friend.”

Newsom has pledged to pick a Black woman to replace Feinstein until the midterm elections next year.

On Friday, Barbara Lee, a Black Democratic congresswoman running for the seat, said: “This is a sad day for California and the nation. Senator Feinstein was a champion for our state, and served as the voice of a political revolution for women.”

Among commentators, the MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan highlighted what will to many prove a complicated political legacy.

“The high point and low point of … Feinstein’s long and storied career as a US senator both relate to the ‘War On Terror’,” Hasan said. “Low point: voting for the Iraq invasion. High point: going against the CIA to expose their torture programme.”

In his statement, Newsom said: “Every race [Feinstein] won, she made history, but her story wasn’t just about being the first woman in a particular political office, it was what she did for California, and for America, with that power once she earned it. That’s what she should be remembered for.”

“There is simply nobody who possessed the poise, gravitas, and fierceness of Dianne Feinstein.”

Jennifer Mercieca, a historian of political rhetoric at Texas A&M University, put the case for Feinstein perhaps most simply of all.

“Dianne Feinstein was on the right side of history,” she said.

Here’s part 3 of the mega NoCo post

So now we go to world tour where most people say NoCo lacks however I personally disagree here’s why

While some may say that because Cody develops feelings for Gwen in this season it disqualifies it I don’t think so because the writers originally intended Gwen and Trent to stay together this implies in the universe the writers wanted that Cody would have never went after Gwen in world tour even if we ignore Gwent originally being kept in world tour we must accept the fact that Cody could very well be forcing himself to go after Gwen as even in the show it feels forced

Now between Noah and Cody more subliminal queer coding because as there names are announced they are put right next to each other Chris announces noah then Cody similarly announcing Duncan then Courtney

In the first episode they stand next to each other

Parallel with them standing right next to Lashawna and Harold at some point it becomes obvious the queer coding is quiet strong here in WT

Then in the same episode

All the couples stand next to each other Lashawna and Harold, Courtney and Duncan,Owen and Izzy even Alejandro and heather

And hey what do you know Cody and Noah as well right next to each other

Then while they are running they run next to eachother it leads up to this scene

Noah and Cody standing next to each other as Owen and Izzy do similar with one standing in front and one behind like a perfect parallel to Owen and Izzy

Then in the tunnels Noah seems to be in a rush? For what? Noah never really cares?

Is it possible he is trying to hurry up to catch up with Cody so they don’t get separated?

Then in a song LITERALLY called “lovin time”

Yup but I’m sure there no coding there whatsoever….

Not to long after this scene occurs

Where Noah defends Cody against Sierra yet he’s the only one to do so he’s says the famous “ooo stalkerlichous” line but it could be pointed out that he’s really being protective of Cody and even this is one of the 2 interactions Sierra and Noah have the only other one?

Where he yet again defends her with the “considering buying myself a life on Craigslist” line these two never have a positive interaction and seemingly Noah only ever criticizes her on the Cody thing.

Lindsay and Tyler sit next to each other and hey there joe what do ya know Noah and Cody to sit next to each other as well as Izzy sitting next to them which clearly provides some parallels and some friendship between Izzy and Noah which is always a plus

And it should be noted the scene where Owen claims Noah said and I quote about dj “he says your legs are really nice”

Now while it could be said this is a joke looking at this through queer coding shows a much different lens notice how they never explicitly say that this was a lie all Noah says in response is “yeah cause that’s exactly what I told him to say” almost confirming the fact that he said that this is a perfect example of queer coding making jokes about the character and yet again not confirming or denying the actions of them in a homosexual context

As well as this scene

Really guys? Of all characters they just so happened to pick Noah to be picked up by Alejandro in this episode? And look at the looks he’s giving him this is obvious queer coding that is being put in here to argue anything else at this point is strange

Then this famous scene

Well I wonder how he knows that …

Seriously this gives off the vibes of a couple teasing each other similar to what Duncan and Courtney have and I think there is queer coding there as well

Then this scene in the same episode

There’s no excuse here my man is looking up and down this is the face of a man checking someone out mind you Cody feels comfortable about venting to Noah which only adds

Now for being on separate teams they do have quite a bit of interactions even though eventually it does stop with of course Noah getting eliminated

We however do get some queer coding for Cody

Similar to what happened with Noah a character famous with the ladies seems to also get looks from these two males characters

Suspicious…

Noah however does go on to support Cody in the end and while most say this means that Noah support the lesser of the two other evils however with all this evidence it’s safe to say he was supporting Cody as a “friend”

But even in the end of the season

Yup right next to each other mind you Geoff and Bridgette also stand next to each other as do Gwen and Trent so parallels still exist

With all being said I think there’s a clear showing that the two at the very least are very very close friends and the evidence provided for the ship is more than enough in my opinion

But with one final scene even though it’s not direct they are seen right next to each other and in fact closer to him than Owen

(Also couples are next to couples and friends next to friends in yacht so the idea the writers put Cody here of all places really does a to the theory)

BLOGTOBER 10/9/2022: THE HIDDEN (1987)

I'm gonna say something contentious about this great movie, to my own detriment, but I think it's the truth: Boys love THE HIDDEN. I mean, I also love THE HIDDEN. Everybody who loves a good movie loves THE HIDDEN! It's a huge party with great performances, cool images, and non-stop action. Bitchin' car chases, sick guitar riffs, sci-fi weapons, fucked up parasites, and gun-toting strippers are not inherently gendered fare; they are for everyone. But I think that the way I watch THE HIDDEN is fundamentally different from the way that, say, my husband watches it. He grew up in the New Jersey suburbs in the '80s and '90s, raised with a sense that his natural, god-given culture was cool cars, hot chicks, shootouts, explosions, secret agents, alien invaders, and all this macho material that blasts out of the screen when you watch THE HIDDEN. When my husband and I watch this movie, we may experience a similar level of pleasure, but not for the same reasons. He sees a great movie, but he also sees the greatest expression of what he was raised to believe is an inherent part of his being. He gets a sense of ownership, a feeling of having his own true nature acknowledged, that I can't really touch as a cis het girl who was raised as such—and I've noticed this every time I watch THE HIDDEN with the dudes in my life. They get a sense of social patriotism from it, a feeling of unity, and an affirmation of the most basic tenants of their cultural identity. And I think that's totally great.

So anyway, THE HIDDEN is the best movie by director Jack Sholder, unless you understand that WISHMASTER 2 is the greatest movie ever made, or unless you are doing contrarian hot takes on the quality of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2 just to point out that it's not as bad as its homophobic haters insist that it is. Without knowing for sure, I'd bet it's also the best movie from Bob Hunt, who also wrote THE BOOGENS. THE HIDDEN is a buddy cop movie in which hardboiled cop Michael Nouri and obvious space alien Kyle MacLachlachlan and hunt an intergalactic parasite with a taste for fast cars, rock'n'roll, and ultraviolence. It resembles ELM STREET 2 in its focus on male bonding and male fears around bodily vulnerability. It resembles WISHMASTER 2 in being an uninhibited, imaginative, balls to the wall good time. THE HIDDEN is fun, funny, and oddly moving, and it's basically only going to put you off if you hate joy.

It's easy to be distracted by the high octane spectacle of this movie, but it is also beautifully cast and performed. Kyle MacLachlan is typically wonderful and he has great chemistry with Michael Nouri, but the parasite also gives us a string of great performances from its hosts. My personal favorite is William Boyett, a lantern-jawed square who usually showed up in movies and shows about cops, cowboys, spies, and other GI Joe types, and his straight-laced appearance is a perfect foil for the extreme antisociality of the parasite, who totes around a boombox blasting shedding rock music on its relentless crime spree. Other standouts include Twin Peaks alum Chris Mulkey, Claudia Christian from MANIAC COP 2, and last but not least, Jake the dog from NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4.

I don't really have anything deep to say about THE HIDDEN besides the sociological observation that I led with. But, even though I maintain that it offers a delightful and, all things considered, not particularly toxic reflection of American masculinity, I should underline that THE HIDDEN is definitely for everyone. Watch it today to turn off your brain and boost your mood.

i have some thoughts about end of zoe story wise and character wise

"end" meaning The point in time when an action, event, or phenomenon ceases or is completed; the conclusion.

Zoe name meaning cos i find name meanings intersting... Zoe simply means "life" and that is yeah this is the fun stuff

Joe "god will increase" which is fun because he could punch me through a wall

I wish we got more time with Zoe being awake (as much as I adore the end scene and the baker incident report chat)

Joe Baker should have been mentioned in the main game like really subtly like a picture where you just see his arm or something. He stayed put happy in his shack and his first interaction with the mold was a alligator at some point Joe was killed by Jack he drowned. I don't know how else to view him being put in a coffin submerged and then the screen fades to black with him waking up at the Baker estate. I like Joe it was fun to see a different perspective on the family. and what else can i say? he looks like he gives great hugs

Lets talk about Jack shall we? I love seeing Jack in his dlc. Jack is dying he knows this and what's left of his mind knows this and wants to be with his daughter in his final moments and that is... a lot

Ethan Winters and the BSAA (anybody who knows me knew this was coming) He a "random" untrained civi got BSAA/ Blue Umbrella to go look for Zoe to make her a priority and was able to get into contact with her and make sure she's safe in person. And of course he kept his promise he sent help for her (interesting and really sad to think that she thought he was going to forget her)

Quadrants

The Mushroom Kingdom has been split into quadrants, four of them ironically. There's four leaders. Lady Rose, Mr L, Bowser, and the Estrellas.

Lady Rose - Nature Quadrant

She doesn't really need too much of an introduction. She's Lady Rose, a cult leader, worked with Mr L, and now this has all happened.

Anton is her right hand, and Marcy and Bob are her bodyguards. Currently, of the cast, she has 3&4, Melony, Meggy, Karen, Cody, basically all the Pirhana Plants, Toad, and Shroomy.

Found Dr. Avis a while back and managed to poison her. The doctor never told her where she kept Lily.

She keeps Diana in a large tank far underneath her base of operations. No one has any clue where Joe Boopkins is.

Mr L - Tech Quadrant

Arguably the most dangerous of the Quadrants. His own inventions patrol the streets, and it's probably the most dystopiaian.

Obviously, he has Mario and Luigi. He also has Saiko, Reboot Saiko, Tari, many robot based enemies, unfortunately Lil Coding and Root, Kaizo, and the Hologram Trio.

With LC being affected by his dads being under Lady Rose's control, and Root becoming a bit volatile after everything went to shit, Mr L used the Anti-Admin tech on them, and now they work as his personal guards.

Yes, he has tormented Mario and Luigi with this knowledge.

Easily one of the toughest Quadrants to navigate.

Bowser - Dark Lands Quadrant

The actual safest Quadrant, but that does remain to be seen.

He was given the offer of having the Dark Lands becoming a Quadrant, and he reluctantly took it, knowing it was that for be forced under someone else's control.

Many of the cast fled here, with the notables being Agent Astra, Franky, Desmond, Toadsworth, Zack, Cory, Katie, the Koopalings, SMG1&2, and more.

He's putting up the act of being a Big Bad again and is trying his best to stay out from falling back into that.

He's due to step down and let Bowser Jr take over soon.

Estrellas - Quartz Quadrant

Falsely believed to be one of the safest Quadrants, but it's really not. Only those with money are really cared for.

They have Don Pinata's people, Jim Pinata, Swag, Chris, basically the entire military, Bloopersville, Boopkins.

After not being able to find Lily, they had a child named Poppy. She's not treated as well as she should be due to being the heir, as the Estrellas hold out hope they'll find Lily. Poppy only scarcely knows about the Mushroom Kingdom of the past, but she also knows that this isn't right.

Sage - Eggman Empire/Unofficial Fifth Quadrant

Has no actual standing as a Quadrant, as she rose to power too late cement the Empire's place. However, all the other leaders at least give the understanding that she has the power to be one.

Has all the basic Sonic enemies, along with some stolen tech from Mr L.

Has tons of influence due to being stationed in all the Quadrants. Also has an alliance with the Dark Lands Quadrant.

Still best friends with Bowser Jr.

Lore Points

The Adminspace isn't able to reach the universe/can't get in. Why? Simple, L's anti-Admin tech worked too well. Following the Hologram Trio's capture, he somehow managed to end up locking down the universe. No one can get in, but no one can get out either.

The lockdown is a mix of Emulator being caught and the actual emulator program reacting to this, and Domain and Forum also being caught, the Guardian Pods and program acted and with what remaining abilities were left, shut everything down.

Yes, the Adminspace has been actively trying to figure this out and get in. No one's stopped.

If memory serves right, In Regards To Eternity is before Western Spaghetti, so the Hologram Trio didn't know what they were getting into when they ended up confronting Mr L. Emulator was caught first, but the USB Duo thought she'd be fine, so they kept fighting. They were captured soon after.

I was scrolling through Tiktok and I saw a video of Chris Evans and president Joe Biden. And Chris was smiling and laughing. When I tell you I was shooketh! I know Chris was into politics, but damn! How did this even happen?

Also now my hate for USA politics will show, cuz why are the presidents almost always grandpas? I know it’s the system, but why? We’ll at least he isn’t shaking hands with Trump.

Lmao, it's all good, you're welcome to hate on US politics here 💀💀 I may unfortunately be from the USA, but I, too, hate them.

(Putting this under the cut because I get rambly, and I understand that most people aren't here for politics)

I absolutely feel you, though. I was shocked to see Chris and Biden shaking hands. Of course, Chris was at the White House, so it's not impossible, that is where the POTUS is most of the time, and I believe Chris has been to the White House before. I could be wrong there, but, if nothing else, he's certainly been in and around Washington D.C. before with A Starting Point.

(A Starting Point being, according to Wikipedia, "A Starting Point is a website, launched in 2020, devoted to presenting videos by elected officials (current or former), presenting various points of view on issues that are of interest to the United States electorate. It was started by Chris Evans, Mark Kassen, and Joe Kiani.")

So, ASP is how, even if I didn't realize that many people used ASP, lol. I am very involved in politics outside of the fandom space--generally reading and watching and educating myself, as well as attending political events on my campus and speaking to my friends about it--but my involvement doesn't come from ASP.

But, still, the president and Chris meeting, shaking hands, smiling, and laughing feels different. It's a cross-over in a way I would, honestly, rather have not happened.

Don't get me wrong, the purpose Chris was there for, with ASP, trying to get more young people engaged in voting is immensely important. Young people in the US are more likely than any other demographic to vote blue (democratic), and that is something that, with another Trump presidency (GOP/republican) on the possible horizon, is especially important. However, I wish he could've done it without shaking hands with the president. Yes, Biden is a figure head, he doesn't do much (generally and specifically at his age, sitting in the presidency). But, also, with the genocide of Palestinians going on and Biden's active, ongoing support to Israel... I don't enjoy seeing them together.

As far as age... yeah. It's the system. 🙃 If you ask me, the minimum age for being able to run for public office should be lowered (it's 35 at least for president, though, the youngest president was 42, the average age is around mid 50s at inauguration), and there should be a cap on how old you can be and still run as modern medicine continues to prolong life and technology and education provide young people with more resources.

I will admit, growing up in the US, I have absolutely been indoctrinated to see the president and feel something. When I first saw that video my reaction was just, what the fuck!? in a lighthearted, laughing manner. A cross-over, like I said previously, they don't feel like they exist in the same world, y'know? But once I thought about it for half a second longer... it felt different.

Chris can do what he likes. Obviously. I do wonder how it happened, though. Maybe it was something he was approached with by the team for ASP, like, hey, wanna meet the president? Maybe it was something that activated the same indoctrinated kid in him--they teach you young to idolize presidents, past and present--so he said yes, thoughtless. Maybe it was something he thought about and weighed the options of, thinking it would help the cause of getting young people to vote even if it would also, inevitably make people on the Internet mad (maybe rightfully so, too, shaking hands with someone with blood on their hands. As presidents do. Biden's blood is fresh enough it's dripping, though). You can't deny that it made news--Captain America and President Biden shake hands!!! That might give a spark to some younger Marvel fan, tuning in to see what's going on with politics when they otherwise wouldn't. Maybe it was something White House staff and the team for ASP worked on together and surprised Chris.

It's odd. You are correct, though--at least it wasn't Trump (1:26).

If anything, though, it reminds me of the 2016 USO tour Chris and Scarlett went on for Marvel. Like, I appreciate what they did for the individual active service members as people. I think we need to do more to support veterans alongside people who are directly impacted by war--their lives destroyed or altered. However, I am very anti-military, anti-war. So, I don't like that he agreed to do that (granted, it may have been required from Marvel, not something that he could get out of, that's unclear). And I sure as hell hate some of the things he did on that USO tour. Still. My differing opinions on Chris can coexist. I can like what I know of Chris, what he shares of himself, and dislike other parts of him or actions he does. Humans are flawed. I may run a fan blog, and may seem like a stan, but I can also disagree with things people that I am a fan of agree with.
