alina’s discography is perfect for setting the mood in the bedroom or to simply chill and relax to when it’s a ‘slow jams’ type of day. the lyrics to more than enough speak to both you and keeho, hence why he feels that this song is so fitting for the two of you. something about the lyrics are seductive yet reassuring in a way that keeho can’t quite explain it himself. i feel like theo is such a sucker for ballads or just soft, indie tracks in general. it especially helps when jimmy brown is a perfect example of an artist who can do just that. theo probably stumbled upon this song due to spotify’s recommendations based on the music he listens to and decided to give it a shot. he immediately fell in love with the song— the melody, the lyrics, the instruments, everything about it reminded him of only one person that was always on his mind 24/7 365. you. to theo, you’re his irene.

i like you (a happier song) by post malone ft. doja cat

as a posty fan, there’s no way jiung could refuse himself from dedicating this song to you. the track has a slight pop influence and r&b style to it which makes it hard not to find it catchy. it’s a feel-good vibe that jiung enjoys when he listens to music. the lyrics tell of a possible love relationship between man and woman, and if jiung weren’t already dating you he would most definitely send you a link to this song over text with the intent of indirectly confessing his feelings for you. (i just know he’d try something like that).

sundress by a$ap rocky

a psychedelic rock and pop rap piece by asap rocky. this song screams “intak would love this.” it just seems like something he’d be in to. the track itself is sampled by tame impala but i think that with rocky’s contributed twist to impala’s earlier production in 2010 is what makes it appealing for intak to enjoy. there’s no specific lovey-dovey explanation as to why intak would choose this song if he were asked what reminds him of you. to him, his best interest is picking out things that he and you can vibe to together.

come through and chill by miguel ft. j cole and salaam remi

from what i’ve gathered, soul is another r&b admirer when it comes to his taste and preferences in music. come through and chill would undoubtedly pique soul’s interest; it’s unique and unlike most songs he’s used to listening to in his free time. soul would usually play this whenever he’s hanging out with you. there’s just something about the simplicity of soaking in each other’s presence while doing nothing without a care in the world.

inside by junny

if jongseob is a penomeco stan, then he’d absolutely get a kick out of junny. the two are relatively similar but different in terms of their style of music. while penomeco is very much khh, junny is on the softer side of r&b/soul which brings out the soft side in jongseob. inside is the perfect track for the two of you and jongseob would have it playing on loop for hours; never growing tired of a song that makes him think of you.

iKon Take Off in LA Experience

I went to see iKon and I got back like 2 hours ago. Out of all the concerts I've been to, I think iKonics were the most lit. I had a lot of fun. DK came into the crowd on my side and I got to hi-five him! His hands are so soft, it's like there isn't any fingerprints or lines LOL. Bobby was crying cause he was happy to be there. It was honestly hard to hear on my section of the venue so I didn't get everything that was being said during the talks. Even the lyrics were a bit hard to hear. Regardless, it was still fun! During the "Hi Bye" section, all the boys were so handsome. Bobby told me to "Have a great night" and I said "You too" the rest of the guys, I just said "Bye" and waved to. Chanwoo was last in line and he told me "Bye".

More personal stuff for anyone interested:

So I honestly was feeling a bit somber/melancholy today. I was happy but a part of me was still a bit sad. I feel like this is probably gonna be my last kpop concert. Personally, I'm moving on to a different portion of my life and this year it's become VERY clear. I don't really keep up with any of the newer groups. iKon was probably the last group I stanned (actually, I think it might have been WINNER if we wanna get really technical LOL). All of my other 2nd/3rd gen groups either disbanded or lost members. Most of my groups, it is very unlikely they will ever come to the US again but even if they are still around, many of them will probably be disbanding in the coming years. So I was just kinda sad knowing it's kind of an end of a chapter for me. I've grown and now I am evolving into a different version of me. That said, if this was my last kpop concert then I'm 100% at peace with that after seeing iKon. I'm very happy and proud to say that iKon was my last if that ends up being the case!

At different points in my life, I've found myself being scared and thinking "What's gonna happen when I don't like K-music anymore?" I was very reluctant to lose it because its been such a happy and exciting part of my life. Because of kpop (and KHH too) I was able to experience a new culture, learn all of these new musicians, start learning a language, go and study in a foreign country, go to great concerts, and meet SOOO many cool fans over the years. So I've been very scared of "growing out of" K-music. I felt like I'd lose something helping to connect me with the world.

However, I'm very at peace. Like I said, if this is the end with kpop/kpop concerts than so be it. iKon was the best way to end it! I'll still be going to KHH concerts and things anyway. I also, fear losing khh (especially since I have this blog and youtube and I'm just generally more integrated into the KHH scene than kpop) but that's something I'll deal with at 36, instead of at 26 like with kpop LOL

khh stans forgetting why they hate/cancelled jvcki wai is the funniest shit i've seen so far this week lmao

2 years ago everyone was proudly banging their chests because they stanned an edgy girl who highkey revolutioned khh and seemed to be irreplaceable. they labelled jvcki as an "activist" solely based off her lyrics when she admitted not seeing herself as one on multiple occasions but simply wanted to bring awareness on south korean social issues. then they threw the word "racist" at her for showing frustration when she was being pressed by the khh community to speak on blm movement but the truth is that everyone was bandwagoning, the khh community was pressing every khh rapper on hearth to speak on a matter that they were barely educated about just so they could say their fave khh rappers are "woke", this made me think about how the khh community lightly took the blm movement already at the time

i'm not surprised khh stans don't remember why they cancelled jvcki because really and truly everyone was projecting their anger at jvcki, and now that she is back suddenly everyone has selective amnesia and they are going straight back on "stan mode". if that isn't a great example of why cancel culture is bs, then idk what it is

i'm happy she is back and under a company that might allow her to have enough creative freedom, she did mention wanting to expand as a producer rather than a rapper in the past so i would love to see that. as for her new song....well it's a drop but i would say a bit generic, the sound is one of my faves tho (reggaeton-trap) because it reminded me of bad bunny lowkey and she is lyrically more ignorant than what we were used to lmao i wonder if she'll stay ignorant because she was exposed as a "fake woke" or she'll eventually go back to her deep lyrics and bring back awareness on social issues...
