J'en ai (un peu) plus qu'assez de traîner mon cul à travers les rues des patelins pour photographier ces foutues vieilles enseignes. Elles ont eu leur heure de gloire, comme moi après quelques verres de trop au bistrot du coin. Elles ont survécu à des décennies de crachin, de fientes de pigeons et d'affiches politiques dégueulasses. Avec leurs gueules burinées par le temps, elles sont devenues des œuvres d'art urbain que tout le monde photographie. Je n’irai pas jusqu’à dire que ça devient lassant, mais faire comme tout le monde, ça m’a toujours gonflé. Alors, qu'est-ce qu'il me reste à faire ? Immortaliser les chiottes publiques, ces petits coins lugubres, souvent négligés, ces cloaques où l’on va se soulager en espérant qu’il reste un bout de PQ. C’est peut-être tordu, mais je m’en balance. Je me glisse dans ces coins puants avec mon appareil, comme une aventurière en quête du Graal. Les murs décrépis, les dessins obscènes, les messages cryptiques laissés par des inconnus, tout cela devient mon terrain de jeu. Les toilettes publiques sont le reflet le plus cru de l'âme humaine, un endroit où les masques tombent, où les vérités les plus intimes sont dévoilées. Et dans ce dédale d'urinoirs crasseux, il y a aussi parfois encore, les dames pipi, ces anges gardiens des chiottes publiques, ces saintes femmes qui veillent sur ces lieux maudits. Elles sont là, assises sur leur tabouret, avec leur petite boîte à pièces et leur sourire fatigué. Elles ont tout vu, tout entendu, tout nettoyé. Elles ont du courage à revendre, ces braves femmes. Elles sont la touche d’humanité dans ce monde de merde. Elles sont belles ces dames pipi, elles sont belles comme une fleur qui pousse sur un tas d’ordures. Et moi j’ai envie de capter ces instants de vérité, ces fragments d’âme qui s’échappent entre deux chasses d’eau. Les enseignes peuvent bien attendre un peu, car dans les toilettes publiques, c'est là que se trouve la véritable humanité.

FARMERS MARKET AU. keith runs a small knife sharpeners business and is roped into running a market stall by shiro, who already works there. lance works at his mother’s bakery, which also has a stall.

ive read this one like three times because its so damn cute and i love how they wrote keith. if this author has a tumblr please send them my way 😁

canonverse fic where somehow somewhere keith has it in his head him and lance are lovers. lance cannot find it in himself to say otherwise. this one shoots me in the foot everytime i read it because keith is SO attentive and knows lance down to the letter. get me a man like that.

3. never judge a book by nostalgicish (3k, teen&up, klance)

modern au where lance and hunk are library assistants at their local college. they like to kin assign people books and genres to pass the time, but when a strange, gruff looking dude walks in to pick up pride and prejudice…shit happens.

eheh yes i do 😇 my favourite of all time is soft touch by seventh_time_lucky (proceeds to explode at the mere memory of this fic), likewise their other fics are so ace too. like……… 🙏 i also recommend constant vigilance + my brother, my brother, and me (shouto and natsuo reconnect; family fic)

others i’ve read and enjoyed off the top off my head: a royal gambit and sweeter than victory by lostloveletters (adore the whimsical, intricate aus so much)

lelex fics, ones im thinking of rn is wonder if you look both ways (reconnection fic… explozn) and their sweater knitting au (trust me….. yarn has never been more romantic…..)

oh another thing to add on to hyacinthus being a legacy. lacedaemon was married to sparta, who was the daughter of the previous king, eurotas (who’s also said to be a river god, but not a normal one, considering his family tree). some say eurotas was the son of myles, whose father is lelex, and others say eurotas wasn’t the grandson but actually just a son of lelex and cleochareia. thats beside the point, what is important is his relation to lelex, first king of laconia. lelex is most commonly said to be born straight out of the earth, but i also read in a few places that he was also either the son of poseidon or helios? take the last two with a grain of salt because i’m not finding credible sources for them. how eurotas ends up being a river god im not too sure, considering cleochareia, his grandma, is also apparently born from the eurotas river (or oceanus? gets confusing) considering the fact that she’s a naiad. maybe he’s named after his great grandpa, who was the god? or cleochareia was born from the marsh water originally here, and when eurotas drained away that water, forming the river, he became the god of that river. but my point is. other than zeus, spartan hyacinthus is also a legacy of the river god eurotas and possibly poseidon/helios (though that is most likely definitely not true).

I'm loving all this info about Hyacinthus' heritage my friend, thank you!! 💕 Anyway if that were the case, then Hyacinthus wouldn't be just any legacy, would he? With the amount of gods in his family tree, that would definitely make him more of a full-fledged demigod at this point rather than just a regular descendant—no matter how small the god, still a reasonably powerful demigod at that.

I know you said that the thing about Poseidon/Helios most likely isn't true, but if Hyacinthus did have them as his ancestors that would be INSANE. I mean, he'd have two pretty important deities in his family: either two Olympians or an Olympian and a Titan, of all things. That'd be a huge point of pride in the family, and increase Hyacinthus' power and status even more.

Taking a closer look at the jacket from where it dangles in his hand is Shouto’s only option.

There are pins attached to the collar and pockets sporadically, glinting softly in the light. Patches too, hand stitched on, Shouto can tell by his cursory glance. A little gay pride ribbon is pinned to the front pocket with an honest to god safety pin.

The jacket looks well-loved—clearly worn frequently and decorated with intention. Speaks of a long term attachment that only someone dedicated to a specific item achieves.
