SOKKA CENTRIC FICS

Here are some Sokka centric fics! Most of these works are not labeled as Sokka centric and so it’s very hard to find! There’s only 64 fics out of 15019 fics

Keep in mind I did not do any Zukka or Tokka fics bc I did not want to wade through that esp bc Zukka fics are 80% Zuko centric. It’s also possible that I missed some fics as, again, they are kinda hard to get a hold of. I literally had to block the Zuko tag at one point bc if Zuko was a character in the fic, it was going to be about Zuko, and it was just a lot to wade through to find that one fic where Zuko was a character but wasn’t the main character. I think my chrome shut down at some point which could have caused me to not include some fics. Basically I’m saying I didn’t get everything but I got MOST of it. Also, on tumblr you see all these great analyses on Sokka, with theories like Spirit sensitive!Sokka, or Sokka working for the white lotus, and yet there are hardly any fics on it??? The untapped potential?!?! We also have no idea what Sokka does in the future (still salty LOK) so this gives us a lot of room to imagine and create stories! Like I need a fanfic on how Sokka does wtf??? You’d have thought that with this atla renaissance and people gaining a new found respect and admiration for Sokka’s character, that there’d be more Sokka focused fics, but nope :(

I’ve noticed that those who like Sokka don’t contribute to the fandom fic wise and guys we gotta step up (like I’m one to talk lol I’m gonna try and write some fics I swear!)

Also if you still want more Sokka fics I suggest searching in the tags bender Sokka, water bender Sokka, and fire bender Sokka. I also suggest that you go to fanfiction.net. I know it’s old, but so is this fandom, which means a lot of fics are there too. It’s easier to wade through the fics on fan fiction.net than AO3 simply bc of how little tags you can put there, so if Sokka is tagged, you know he actually plays a part in the story (no shade on AO3 I love it but sometimes it’s hard to find stuff bc the tagging system relies on the people knowing how to use tags, and the avatar fandom does not, but that’s bc it’s old)

Anyway, LOVE SOKKA MORE and don’t forget to reblog and let other ppl get access to these fics bc I know I would have loved it if someone made an entire list! (And organized it lol I never thought I was capable of organizing)

I revisited this fanfic sometime ago and decided to talk abt it now in case I forgot! Ahem.

Please note that my headcanons only apply to my yandere AU and that particular AU only. You can adopt some if you’re planning to make yandere!Isaac yourself

Imagine Isaac being his usual tsundere self, being shy yet kinda standoffish at the same time. He meets Wolf, who’s also not into people despite being more sociable. There wasn’t really any chemistry between them at first

But as time goes on, Wolf came to fall in love with Isaac despite the warning signs.

Wolf finds it cute that’s Isaac tripping all over himself just to impress him. Before he even realizes it, he’s doting on Isaac. He likes to take Isaac to movies and fancy restaurants and such. Isaac’s invited him to stargaze more than once.

Isaac once made Wolf a bento but he’s a lethal chef so ofc it came out badly. Wolf consoled him by saying he can’t cook either

Wolf insists on keeping their relationship a secret, which probably helps drive Isaac into yandere mode

Isaac secretly hates the attention Wolf gets from his admirers. Instead of getting visibly jealous in a cutesy, otome male lead-ish way, he’s just silent and endures the whole thing.

His resentment only grows and extends to Wolf’s other relationships. Including his friendship with Jean.

He wants to take down Jean, but doubts himself because the dude is an athlete. He doesn’t really care that he’s hurting Napoleon’s prospective boyfriend. In this AU he doesn’t really care about anyone but Wolf

The only person Isaac doesn’t particularly mind is Leonardo, who helped Isaac when he first moved to their high school.

Isaac bought that red lip tint just for Wolf. He also keeps bottles of nail polish to use on Wolf.

After being confined, Wolf worries day and night about his exams and preparations for uni. Only time will tell if he ever gets out of that apartment alive.

Also, some stuff abt the fanfic’s plot itself (TW Character death and Isaac murdering people)

I originally intended to include a segment in which Arthur comes barging into Isaac’s apartment.

He says he’s there because he misses Isaac, his fellow Brit kouhai (underclassman) but is actually there to snoop around because he’s been investigating Mo’s disappearance.

But then Isaac finds out, whacks him with a golf club or baseball bat, and D-words him.

Just when he thinks he’s done getting rid of the body (idk maybe he chops off the remains and stuff them in a box or something inside his closet), Jean and Napoleon suddenly come in and now Isaac has to rethink his tactics because he can’t take down two athletes with a golf club or a knife

Why he thinks immediately think about offing them instead of telling them to go away from behind the door and visit him another time, idk. Isaac probably got high on the thrill of murder

I decided not to include them because action scenes take a lot of work (my schedule’s pretty tight back then) and my British-English is wack.

I included the Japanese honorifics on purpose because I wanted to capture that shoujo/j-horror aesthetics down pat. Isaac’s ramblings towards the end was also designed that way because yanderes in manga often say stuff that don’t make sense

A few pings from group chat from admin role and one private message. Huh, neat, time to eat- hold on, wait a minute. Private message? You sat up straightly and clicked on it right away. This is this unforgiven fella! After you wrote this short message you grinned weakly and went off of your room to wake up properly.

You made yourself your favourite breakfast, ate and thought about this little spam that person did. Kinda cute, maybe they’re self-concious, and joining chatting group was overhelming? To summarize your morning routine, the hot drink had to be in your now favourite cup. Earlier one got shattered into pieces by your unaware of consequences cat. You weren’t mad at it, but at yourself for leaving the cup on windowsill instead of hiding it properly. That kind of sad event for you made you buy this cup from that new music group you enjoyed listening to. True Damage, wasn’t it? You never liked rap, but this boy Ekko nailed stuff. You loved everyone equally in this group, but never understood that long-haired, masked (you assumed) asian man and his influence. He was there, maybe he made the music in the background, compositor? He seemed too mysterious for you, but meh. He fit group’s aesthetic, and you were sure he had his place in there, and it’s fine. Maybe you figure it out once you see them live, since, what a shocker, they had a tour around the world and were not only in your country, but in your town too! They'll be here in like… 6 months from now? You can't wait! Bonus to that: No long trip ahead of you, just buying tickets and going, you were hyped for that.

You told him what you’re doing in life generally, while he just said he’s normal, let me quote: “big-ass adult who lives with parents but work in some fast-food, at least i’m trying.” which was cool for you, at least he didn’t lock himself in his parents’ basement. Unforgiven was a chill dude and at the beginning you thought he’d only hit you up with Star Guardian topics, but later? You started talking about yourselves, about other interests.

Your hands twitched uncontrollably after that weird message. What did he mean? You're his friend but he's not yours? It kinda worried you, but you went to do your stuff until he has time to talk. Maybe it sounds cliché but you wait impatiently until he starts a chat with you and you know each other for only two weeks.

It made you worry about your friend. Maybe he has some troubles you don't know about for sure? You only had to hope it's not gang involved. You were sure to later tell a few words to him.

You ate out with one of your friends, just to eat, chill around. You gave into every single message a lot of focus. You weren't sure what to say at first, but decided to just go for it.

You wonder how are you going to ask him about a next step in your friendship. It is, indeed, hard. Good question is why are you the first to ask? You jumped, then panicked, then jumped beside your phone and slowly answered your call before it ended sending a signal.

His voice was soft, warm, pleasant. You smiled right away. - Damn, you sound so chilled out while I am...wow. I am a blushing mess right now, I wanted this but don’t know what to say to you! Like, wow! - Maybe start with how was your day? I’d love to hear that. - that was just an excuse, but you didn’t knew that. - Oh...kay. It was fine. Boring, to be honest. Woke up, drank [tea/coffee/hot chocolate] from this True Damage cup I once told you about, went out, made my boring everyday routine, was thinking how I should ask you about talking, then went back home, bored my ass off on some documentaries and here we are, talking! - Sounds fun. - he commented shortly. Yasuo expected from incoming call anything but question what was awaiting him. He was having a flight with a band to [town’s name] in next three days, so he had to tell you he can’t really talk as you both always do. OKAY NEVERMIND IT IS AMAZING. You - thankfully - fell asleep pretty fastly.

To be fair, these three days? Were going through slow in agonizing way, but when the day of concert hit up, your heart was racing since you woke up. You had that five minute talk with Unforgiven, as he promised, assuring you that he is going to be there for sure. After you hung up, you started preparing yourself! You wore your best clothes, made sure you look stunning but not too overrated and just dived into it! You gladly told your friend you’re meeting your crush, informing her with that she’s not forced to go see True Damage with you anymore. She was more of Pentakill person, and it was alright. She wanted to go along since she knew how “un-funny” would it be without her, but you knew her real motive was you not feeling alone. So when she acknowledged that you’re not going to be alone, she said she’s glad she doesn’t have to listen to Ekko and Qiyana’s rapping. Well, good noone is forced.

At first,you wanted to find Unforgiven right away, but gave up and focused on music experience. You wanted to be there beside him, but well, maybe he lost connection again and couldn’t hit you up. And you had hell of a fun in there! But somewhere deep inside you were worried that he just tricked you and will never show up or tell you where he is exactly.

True Damage’s crew said final goodbyes and after some stumbles, it was quiet on stage. Everyone kept cheering or talking, sometimes screaming unecessarly. Still, not a single sight of Unforgiven. Well, at least you got to know what this long haired guy was doing in the crew. Epic T-pose and manipulated music with this sword looking thingy. Amazing effects. You decided to find yourself sitting place somewhere, staring at your phone screen. No message, no missed calls, not anything. It made you sad, that’s true, but maybe he’ll catch up? You waited. And waited.

And waited.

And the more you waited, the more you felt tears getting into your eyes. You were ready to burst into sobbing mess, but then your phone rang. This stupid communicator song. You answered up right away with little sniff” - Where the hell are you? You said that- - I know, [y/n]. I am here, let me instruct you where I am right now. Where are you? - You should be one searching for me, you know? I almost thought you weren’t coming, what’s up with that? - you unintentionally raised your voice, letting out a sob meanwhile that. Okay dude I feel you on the pjo thing. I think abt it all the time. I shipped Nico and Leo so much back in the day. Then Nico’s scene with Cupid was leaked and I lost my goddam mind I thought for sure they’d be canon. It just made sense? They both always felt like the odd one out and their personalities were different and yet seemed like they would mesh well. Then all That narrative stuff happened. I’m sure Will’s great and I get the itch to read and find out sometimes but yeah. A tragedy.

it was ... and i probably shouldn’t be so upset about it years later, but the way people reacted to nicoleo and the books crushing any potential for them was a lot to deal with. i don’t know anything about will, and i don’t want to bother with how things are going. i remember people were still confused about how old he was too.

but it’s all old news, like i said. it’s no one’s fault the moment any cute white boys are available to pair together, fans will jump on it in an instant and yeah, i’m very confident about saying that because hardly no one gave a damn about jason until jasico happened.

again, i’m just bitter. and i still really love all the characters, but there’s a reason why i only ever interacted with a few people. the fandom as a whole had huge problems on it’s own.

there wasn’t any big artists drawing for valdangelo either except for bread crumbs from them (which ugh...). artists who actually loved valdangelo rarely got noticed. and of course it’s my own fault for not being as active too. there’s reasons why valdangelo is so small. i was able to collect most of the fics in a list back then when other pairings had twice or triple the amount.

leo and nico would have been dope and thank you for listening to me ramble about it. you guys are the best.

what's a basic outline for the Ultimate sickfic, for you? what are your favorite details etc in a sickfic, how long do you like them to be, how do you like the endings to go..

i’m putting this under a cut because for some reason i still have shame about this narrative kink skfjghsdf. this post will probably be long but i love this question. oh my god

so, i generally will read Any Sickfic and i can’t stress enough how low my standards are. i’ve read for fandoms i know nothing and will never know anything about. i really really really mean this. but you’re asking me what Perfection to me will look like, so i am going to sound way pickier and high standards than i actually am. okay.

first thing’s first, i have some sickfic rules/dealbreakers:

i don’t give a single shit about a high-stakes, life threatening illness. there is a Whump Threshold and when it reaches a certain point it stops being fun for me. if anyone’s life is seriously in danger it stops being fun. the more mild but long-lasting the inconvenience, the better.

generally, with rare exceptions, i like my illnesses to be natural. it’s fine if it’s something unnatural that presents itself as more common/real world symptoms, but i’ll still like it less. a poisoning probably isn’t gonna be very Fun for me, but if u like, throw a fever on top of it i’m game.

i don’t like puke. i’ll read it if im desperate but it’s not my jam. being an emetophobe and someone who’s into sickfic, this is a very difficult conundrum xD

no hurt w/o comfort. i don’t just wanna read abt someone being alone and miserable cause it contradicts all the psychological bullshit reasons why i’m into this. someone needs to swoop in and take care of the poor bb whether they want it or not.

the perfect sickie for me is a character who is headstrong to an absolute fault. getting them to admit they might be under the weather is enough of a hassle in itself, let alone making them take it easy. it’s fine if they’re a dude, that’s usually what i have to deal with given that the whump community is all girls who are more into guys. but, like, if it were up to me, it’d always be a girl. girls r cute and i want to take care of them, let me self insert, damnit.

i like my sickies to have Tells. i like their friends to notice that they’re going to bed an hour early, or that their voice sounds off, or that they’re chilly when normally the cold doesn’t phase them. having an eagle-eyed companion or two nearby makes the headstrong sickie in denial all the much more Intent To Fight. the more they fight, the more stress they put themselves under, the harder they fall, the better the care they receive is.

i like a slow progression of symptoms. i like a fic that starts with what is probably the point where they contracted whatever fuckshit, and gradually passes time as they get worse and worse for wear. obviously, i like a LONG sickfic, because i’m kinda insatiable. no matter how long one is, i always find myself disappointed when its over. every sickfic i’ve ever bookmarked, i’ve read tons and TONS of times, because i literally cannot get enough.

i like sickies being forced, either by themselves or their circumstances, to fight through their pain, and i especially like it when they collapse midway or directly after lmao. my favourite flavour of this is them having to do anything in the pouring rain. getting sick FROM the rain is a big trope i like, but already being sick and getting worse in the rain is even fucking better.

i like headstrong sickies being angrily chided by their caretakers, who are really just worried to tears over them and having trouble coping. i like a little snark and bite to go on between the two of them, both irritated at the other but still intent to stick together.

the snifflier the sickie the better. that’s my fave symptom. it’s cute. fevers r good too cause shivering is cute. bundle the poor bb. feed them soup. real tender shit.

and i looooooove me some contagion lmao. the caretaker getting sick themselves either mid-way through or once the sickie has recovered? MUAH. CHEF KISS. i love when fics end on that, but what i love even more is when the author writes a surprise sequel and it’s ANOTHER SICKFIC WITH ROLES REVERSED. god, that’s so good. lord.

if you ever wonder why nearly every single sickfic i’ve ever written is about team rocket its because you can flawlessly slap ALL these tropes on a fic with them and it’s 100% ic. i definitely definitely deeefinitely know what i want xD
