The mind control thing could've been cool if it was LITERALLY mind control not just "Garroth Ro'meave gets no bitches" syndrome. It would make more sense too with his character arc.

He finally gets comfortable in phoenix drop with showing his face and having this new big family with the guards and aphmau. He can finally be himself.

But then the pendants start acting up ; there's threats of war and Dante's being secretive. His paranoia starts acting up. But he's got his friends and he knows as long as he's with them, it's going to be ok.

During the baby shower he cools off but then he sees something. He chases after the evil undertale looking bitch but then he sees something. Saw something he wasn't supposed to see. That's all he can remember at least.

But as he's making his way back he keeps hearing things, seeing things. It's almost like he can feel something at the back of his mind, digging into his skull , eating at him.

Over the next few days his mind is hazy with thoughts of okh'assis, muddled memories and regrets. He can hear his brother in his head whispering about how foolish it was to hide away from them. He had no chance escaping his own blood. By the time he snaps out of it he noticed he's moved. Right to the edge of the walls with his communication amulet.

The haziness and whispers just keep getting worse and worse and so does his grip on reality. He can feel the chilly okh'assis air in the middle of summer. He keeps seeing things in the trees watching him. Cadenza tells him he looks paler than usual.Lillian arriving just makes it worse. Eventually he locks himself in his room saying not a word to anyone.

He can't eat, can't sleep , won't even close his eyes.Refusing to let them win. All he can do is listen; sounds of reality and delusion mixing into a buzzing living nightmare. All he wants to do is to help Phoenix drop. But when he looks in the mirror all he can see is the same pale , snowy haired boy who left Okh'assis. Maybe he never left?

Okay I kinda wanna ramble about my "cosmic dragon au" as I'm dubbing it.

It's technically an au of my Mystreet rewrite however it is tied to @roxxie-spirt MCD rewrite. So, I recommend reading her lore about the divine warriors to kind of get an idea about my cracked au lol.

So, to start, all magic originally came from this primordial cosmic dragon named Mithora. She was originally from the Wyvern Dimension but her magic was so potent, it had been seeping into the overworld for centuries. She's an incredibly old dragon who is/was worshiped as a deity of magic (mostly by witches and such). When the wyverns came over, followed by Mithora who they recognized as their queen, many of the Divine Warriors became nervous. They, of course, began their wyvern hunting spree. Realizing Mithora would be a far more dangerous threat than the wyverns, they befriended her, intent on tricking her. To Mithora, she actually became very close friends with the Divine Warriors. Mithora was eventually betrayed by the DW, a special arrow of poison striking her heart. Although the poison didn't kill her (kinda difficult to insta kill a being as powerful as the source of all magic) it did permanently wound her. She was banished from the overworld via a portal spell and sealed away within her own dimension, unable to escape. The spell chaining her to the dimension would eventually wear off, but by the time it would, she'd be on death's doorstep.

Now for the actual character stuff; in this au, all of the mys characters are reincarnations of their MCD counterparts. This was done via intervention on Aphmau/Irene's behalf when she approached each of her friends (and enemies) when they died. She essentially offered them a second chance at life, although they would not remember anything of their previous life. When this happened and Aph stored the souls of the people who'd accepted her offer in the Irene dimension, Mithora was able to sneak into the Irene dimension while Aph was away. She chose Zane to be the next dragon and to take her place when her magic eventually ran out. She did this, not only because she was sympathetic towards Zane, who'd been robbed of his ties to magic as a half witch, but also as a big fat middle finger to Esmund who'd been the one to first kill a wyvern and the one who'd broken her heart by betraying her. (Mithora did have feelings for him but never mentioned them out of courtesy of his feelings towards Irene).

Well, because of Mithora's marking, Mys Zane ended up being very magically talented, even more than most children his age. By the time S3 rolls around, he's comfortable with his witch heritage and has tutored under Lucinda for some time. It's in s4 (so this would replace what happens in Emerald Secret) where Zane takes up the mantle of the new dragon.

Mithora, on her last ember of life, comes to Zane and explains what she has tutored him to do. (He's had dreams about her since he was a child and she'd teach him various things about magic). I imagine it would be this dramatic moment of Zane being called into the snowy woods, the snowstorm protecting him as he enters the woods but keeping the others away until it's over. So, he accepts, taking up the mantle and protecting magic. This is extra important because magic sustains nearly every facet of their world. Magic would also become far more powerful once Zane takes over since he'd essentially be restoring it to its original strength before the poison overtook Mithora and drained her of her magic.

“Dove, wake up,” Steven murmurs into your ear before pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.

You stir, groaning softly before you roll over and shake your head. Your eyes do not open, and you clutch the fluffy comforter closer.

He chuckles, following you to the other side of the bed and wrapping you in his arms. “It’s the first snow, c’mon.”

“Too early.”

“It’s our tradition,” He places another kiss on your cheek.

“Too dark,” You groan, scooting closer to the edge, as if you can escape him.

Steven follows, a wide grin spread across his face, “We do this every winter.”

“Too cold.”

“I’ll keep you warm,” He assures, squeezing you tighter in his arms.

“Steven,” You whine, finally opening your eyes and glaring over your shoulder at him.

“The snow, it’ll wake you up,” He insists, using one of his fingers to delicately wipe the sleep from the corners of your eyes.

“You’re not giving up.”

“No, dove, I’m not. Up and attem’, yeah? I’ll make you french toast for breakfast.”

“And do that fancy latte art?”

“Mhmm,” He hums, leaning in to press a kiss to your mouth.

“Alright, alright. I’m up.”

“Dress warmly, dear, I’ll get our coats,” He hops out of bed, and that’s when you realize that he’s not in his pjs.

You narrow your eyes at him, “You’re already dressed?”

“Been up for ages, watchin’ you snore,” He teases as he crosses the flat.

“I don’t snore,” You grumble as you hop out of bed and head into the bathroom.

Steven doesn’t reply to your denial, but you hear his sweet laugh float through the door as you stumble sleepily through your morning routine. By the time you’ve made it out and are pulling jeans and a sweater out of the closet, he’s wrapped up in his coat, his unruly curls tucked into a black beanie.

“Coming, I swear,” You start to move a bit quicker when he playfully arches a brow at you.

Once you’re dressed, Steven helps you into your coat before slipping your own beanie onto your head. He guides the both of you out of the flat and down into the building’s courtyard. The cold air bites at your cheeks, and you’re immediately grateful for Steven’s warm hand in yours. The snow is falling gently, caressing the ground like a knit blanket. Dead grass and shrubs still peek through the white, though it’s supposed to snow all day and soon everything will be covered in glittery white powder.

Because it’s early, it is just the two of you, surrounded by the gray and white haze of this snowy morning. It’s quiet for once in London, none of the honking and shouting cutting through this little slice of peace that you and Steven are sharing.

He raises his face to the sky, letting the flakes dust all over his face, “You know I could smell it coming when we fell asleep last night.”

“You always say that, you can’t smell snow, Steven.”

“People say they smell rain all the time, who’s to say I can’t smell snow?”

“Me, that’s who.”

“Somethin’ tells me I could convince you otherwise,” He grins cheekily at you, before leaning in for a kiss.

His lips are cold, a little wet from the melted snow but you kiss him back eagerly, your hands rising to cup both of his cheeks. You can taste the tea he must’ve quietly brewed while you were dead to the world but there’s something else. Something unique, that you can only contribute to the morning’s precipitation.

“You taste like snow,” You whisper quietly— as if speaking any louder will break this bubble.

He bumps his nose against yours, eyes narrowed, “Oh, alright, so you can taste it but I can’t smell it?”

“Seems we’re on the same page.”

“I’ll show you what page we’re on when there’s enough snow for a fight.”

Dusk has hit when he drags you back outside, the snow up to your ankles. You bury him in snowballs, and Steven concedes: no you can’t smell snow, but one can certainly taste it.

I put it under a cut because it’s quite long. I didn’t know who to tag because I’m so late to posting this with everything that has been going on. 

What’s your favorite sims death? I never thought of this one... Maybe death by pufferfish nigiri because the ghost has a little pufferfish floating inside them and I think that’s cute because I really like puffer fish (not to eat). I’d love to have a little puffer fish buddy with me in the afterlife.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch? I lean towards MaxisMatch most in my game but I don’t mind the aesthetic of alpha either. There’s some nice alpha stuff out there.

Do you cheat your sims weight? I have only because no matter what I do, toddlers living on the long lifespan always gain a lot of weight (the calorie system in the game is kinda weird) but outside of that I haven’t (although I never adjusted Fern’s weight when she aged up because I just decided not to for no reason whatsoever).

Do you move objects? Yep! I could not live without it in Sims 4.

Favorite Mod? I don’t have one favorite mod so naming one is difficult. I could not enjoy this game without the majority of mods I have. More Traits In CAS is one of my faves because having those extra traits through the life stages has helped create some depth to my sims’ personalities, at least in my mind. It’s helped to keep my interest in playing longer than a few months.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? I bought everything in the order it came out for Sims 1, 2, and 3. For Sims 4 (iirc): Get To Work/Outdoor Retreat/Perfect Patio

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? aLIVE.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? It’s a tie between Hector and Sophie. (Most of my faves have been born in-game)

Have you made a simself? Yep! Back when it was still just the CAS demo. I don’t have her around anymore though.

Which Sim traits do you give yourself? Social Awkward, Cat Lover, Creative, probably Gloomy too if I’m honest.😅 (But I don’t show that side of me to others, a lot of people think I’m Cheerful. lol)

Which is your favorite EA hair color? That light brown shade that was added around when Snowy Escape came out.

Favorite EA hair? I don’t think I have one.... I have some I don’t care for... I just like that there’s finally a variety of hair types/styles that aren’t just straight hair.

Favorite life stage? I don’t think I have one... I have the most fun when I have a variety of life stages to play (although it can feel overwhelming sometimes).

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Gameplay. I don’t mind building in Sims 4 but it’s rare when I’m having a good time doing it.

Are you a CC creator? Nope. I tried to recolour the kids’ bicycles and gave up. lol I might try again but I need the time and focus to do it.

Do you have any simblr friends/ a sim squad? I guess it depends on how those are defined since people define them differently. I do know a lot of really awesome people on here who I enjoy interacting with though. 🙂

What’s your favorite game? Right now it flips between Sims 4 and Genshin Impact. Used to also be Overwatch, which I still enjoy on occasion, but not as much as I used to.

Do you have any sims merch? Nope.

Do you have a YouTube for sims? Nope. I have the charisma of a wilted lettuce.

How has your « sims style » changed throughout your years of playing? I went from creating haunted houses in TS1 to playing legacy style in Sims 2 and beyond (and creating a haunted house by more ethical means). I only ever managed to finish one legacy family to 10 generations and that family will forever be lost somewhere on Live Journal as it should be. (I have a picture chart of all their faces though.)

What’s your origin id? Simbico but I don’t have anything worth looking at on there. It’s usually for my own backups.

Who’s your favorite CC creator? It’s hard because I have so many I like and not just one favorite. 😭 But RavenSim is one of my many favorites because their hair helps make my sims’ infants/toddlers/kids even cuter!

How long have you had simblr? According to my first Sims 3 post, at least since 2011 but I did abandon it for a long time. I was so happy seeing some familiar simblrs still posting when I came back. 😊

How do you edit your pictures? I used to use Photoshop but now I just use Reshade. I use a really old version of Photoshop from 2012 for cropping and stuff but I tend to not do much more than that. I don’t have the time with the amount of pictures I take. lol

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? TS1 - Makin’ Magic | TS2 - Open For Business | TS3 - Pets | TS4 - Growing Together, maybe tied with Country Living (the EP that kept bringing me back).

Sims 4 MLP Legacy Challenge!

Hello! I’m Jerry and I decided to make a legacy challenge based on My Little Pony. Why? Because I have an obsession and needed to bring it into my Sims game lol. I’ve been playing this challenge for a while now and I’ve been having fun so I thought I’d share it with the world!

Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Get Famous, Cats and Dogs, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Snowy Escape, Spa Day, Parenthood, and Realm of Magic (SO sorry it’s so many but I did originally make this challenge for myself 😅)

General Notes:

I want to note that none of your heirs have to represent the ponies in color scheme and/or gender, though if you want to do that then go ahead!

I will be using their respective pronouns when describing each generation, however, your sims do not have to identify with them!

You’re a wise and regal sim who can see the potential in anyone, especially your students. There isn’t a single sim who dislikes you and everyone seems to not only look up to you, but go to you for advice.

Aspiration: Zen Guru

Rules: Celestia must be a spellcaster and you must also get her a phenix familiar. She must be the highest ranked spellcaster but you do not have to learn every spell as you’ll be doing that later in a different gen.

Celestia must complete her aspiration, become level 10 the education career, and master the charisma, wellness, and cooking skills.

Unlike your mother, you were not seen as wise or regal. The friends you made growing up always wanted to see your mom and often talked about how amazing she is. Because of this, you became resentful of her, and wanted a way to escape the world your mom shines on.

Rules: Luna wants to escape from her mom so she must visit Sixam at least once. She must also only have close friendships with aliens.

Occupation: Education (professor branch)

Rules: Of course we can’t forget about Spike! Give Twilight a dragon familiar. But what about Owlicious? Lets make it two familiars! Give her an owl as well. She must learn every spell in the book, but potion recipes are optional.

Twilight must complete her aspiration, reach level 10 in the education career, and master the logic and writing skills.

Your mother was all about studying, research, magic, all things that are totally and completely BORING. You just wanted to have fun, party, and spread as much cheer as humanly possible! Lets not forget about the food! The cakes, ice cream, fruits, sandwiches, chocolate.. is anyone else hungry?

Aspiration: Party Animal

Traits: Childish, Goofball, Glutton (You can make her a party animal if you have For Rent)

Occupation: Entertainer (comedian)

Rules: Pinkie Pie wants to be the greatest party sim around, so you have to host and get a gold medal in every social event. You must accept every invitation to go out unless you are already doing something.

Pinkie pie must complete her aspiration, and reach level 10 in the entertainer career. She must master the comedy, charisma, mischief, baking, dancing, and singing skills. What? Entertainment means skills.

“What I'm sayin' to you is the honest truth. Let go, and you'll be safe.”

While it seemed everyone in your family was enjoying the party life, you just wanted to be outside gardening. Planting trees, herbs, flowers, anything you could get you hands on. And then turning those plants into juice or even sweet treats is even better! I guess they had one thing in common.

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Traits: Outgoing, Loves Outdoors, Ambitious

Occupation: Gardener (optional)

Rules: Applejack doesn’t just want to make treats and drinks for herself, she wants to sell them. Every time the Flea Market comes into town, she must go there and sell all her goodies. She must also own at least 20 apple trees.

Applejack must complete her aspiration, and if you choose to be a gardener then she has to max it. She must master the gardening, baking, handiness, and juice fizzing skills.

If you own Home Chef Hustle, then you can use that selling table and you don’t have to go to the flea market every time.

“It needs to be about 20% cooler.”

Thanks to your parents, you spent a lot of time outdoors and from a young age and you’ve always been good at any sport you played. Basketball, soccer, you name it! But you want to be the most awesome sim around. So, why not try and become the greatest snowboarder, skier, mountain climber ever! Now that’s cool.

Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast

Traits: Loyal, Self-assured, Adventurous

Occupation: Athlete (professional athlete branch)

Rules: Rainbow Dash is cool and all but she’s got a bit of an ego. She must be disliked by at least 2 sims.

Rainbow Dash must complete her aspiration, and reach level 10 in the athletic career. She must master the fitness, snowboarding, skiing, and rock climbing skills.

“Look upon me, Equestria, for I am Rarity!”

Just because you’re the daughter of a famous sports sim, does not mean that you, too, have to be sporty. You want to be known of course, but not for being athletic. For being FABULOUS! You’ve always been into fashion, design, things that are oh so shiny. You someday dream of opening your very own boutique to sell your beautiful designs.

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

Traits: Materialistic, Proper, Perfectionist

Occupation: Style Influencer (trend setter)

Rules: Rarity must become a 5 star celebrity and date/marry someone who is also a celebrity (the level of fame does not matter). She must own a fashion boutique and it has to have a 5 star rating. She must collect every crystal/gem.

Rarity must complete her aspiration, and reach level 10 in the style influencer career. She must master the acting, charisma, and photography skills. Knitting skill is optional.

“I'm just good with animals. It's my special gift, you know.”

*If you have Cottage Living then you must raise at least one cow, chicken, or llama and Fluttershy must befriend one bunny and one fox*

Your mother made it big, real big. And you’re happy for her, but being a star isn’t quite what you had in mind for your life. You just want to take care of animals, away from the spotlight. Any animal, big or small, you want to make sure they’re all fed and well taken care of.

Aspiration: Friend of the Animals

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Good, Paranoid

Occupation: Veterinarian

Rules: Where do you go when your pet gets sick? The vet of course! Fluttershy must open her own vet clinic and get it to 5 stars. She must only adopt strays and have at least 5 pets throughout her lifetime.

Fluttershy must complete her aspiration, and run a successful vet clinic. She must master the singing, pet training, and veterinarian skills.

“Make sense? Oh, what fun is there in making sense?”

Your entire family from the start has had too clean of a record. Why don’t we change that and add a little chaos. Discord is known as the black sheep of his family. He thinks everyone, especially his mother, are way too nice for their own good. What’s life without a little fun?

Aspiration: Public Enemy

Traits: Childish, Kleptomaniac, Mean

Occupation: Criminal (boss branch)

Rules: It’s time to kick things up a notch and have a little fun! Discord has a long line of magic in his blood, so he must become a spellcaster and master untamed magic. No one really likes him given his track record, but he does have one good friend.

He must unalive at least 3 sims using his spells, complete his aspiration, and reach level 10 in the criminal career.

If you do wish to continue after Discord, he can have a romantic relationship with his one friend, have a science baby, or he can just force a sim to love him 😅. I have a part two brewing in my brain and will release that version as soon as I finish it for all you lovely people.

If Ryoji hadn’t felt like the wrong breath would break him, he may have laughed at the morbid thought. Fill the chilly winter air with a sound that wasn’t the depressing gurgle of his breaths or the distant coughs of the only SEES member that occupied the massive dormitory building that day. Minato…

Despite being the harbinger of the fall and thus not human, in the few weeks Ryoji had attended Gekkoukan he’d grown a softness for the asocial wildcard. A soft spot that the many girls and boys who’d taken a shine to him hadn’t managed to achieve. Even with how sweetly they treated him. Which, in the moment, had stirred up twinges of guilt for them after each date. But, now that he’d realized his true identity, that guilt had not only switched targets, but taken root to bloom a bitter flower. After all, how could Ryoji grow to care for a human so fast yet so much, and still look into those smokey eyes and tell him that he’d end the world in a few short months? Yes, Ryoji was never known for compassion and good timing, but confessing to his affection for the wildcard only a few hours before confessing to his deception felt a step too far.

A wheezy cough drifted up from Minato’s dorm room to draw another shakey sigh from the brooding brunette. “What did you expect? To grow old with him?” He muttered darkly to the still chill of the season, his words punctuated by a coughing fit of his own.

But, the fit that tore through his already aching body wasn’t the result of a simple cold. Ryoji Mochizuki was Death, he could streak through Antarctica with nothing more than a shiver, so the flu wasn’t something he had to worry about. Plus, the flu didn’t leave a thin, delicately curved petal of crimson in Ryoji’s pale palm. What did famously choke its victims with the silky petals of flowers though, was a more insidious disease.

But, as he watched that petal wither and yellow in the cold air of the winter, Ryoji still didn’t fear for himself, only Minato. After all, he was a god, he didn’t need to breathe. So, whether his lungs inflated with petals didn’t matter. On the other hand, though, was his beloved wildcard. The deadpan wildcard who had coughed up his first snowy flower petal a mere three days after Ryoji had came across him in front of that train station.

Back then, Ryoji was new to the world, stupid. He’d seen Minato at the stairs of the train station and thought he’d found an angel with the way the soft light of the full moon made a halo of light on his hair, and that same silver glow set the snow alight with winter fire.

But, that was weeks ago, at that point. Back before the roots of the toxic flowers had begun to sap the color from Minato’s skin and sheen from his blue locks. Back before Ryoji had destroyed his life for the second time.

Maybe all this could’ve been avoided if I’d not made myself known… He mused while he stared down at the petal he’d coughed up. Images of all the petals he’d seen Minato stealth into his pocket or toss away on repeat in his head. If only I’d kept to myself like I was supposed to, Minato would’ve left Tatsumi port. He could’ve spent his remaining days blissfully unaware and happy instead of choking to death.

But, when his inhuman senses picked up yet another of Minato's rough coughing fits, the gentle splash of his tears in his palm were all he could do to help. Yet another fight that Minato wouldn’t have had to face if Ryoji Mochizuki hadn’t been so selfish.

I have seen so much Childe angst out there lately so I decided I needed to write him some fluff! And since it’s winter and he’s a snowy boi… well… This is very self-indulgent and actually written based on a very vivid memory from my youth that I’m very fond of, and I know in many parts of the world winters do not necessarily mean cold weather and snow and frost and that beautiful twinkling white everywhere… so I hope I can share some of that experience!! <3333

Your fingers are numb, so are your toes, and your cheeks ache from the upwards arc of your lips. Nothing about this moment could be any more perfect. The lights from the Shnezhnayan festival are still bright with their warm glow, even as the crowd dwindles. Though you stand now in a park away from the cozy tents and bonfires, you don’t feel cold. Not when your chest is full of laughter, and your body warm from playing with Childe and Teucer. Your hearty laughs continue as a hunk of snow hits your coat sleeve. You clamp down a fistful of snow, briefly shaping it before lobbing it forward. Teucer giggles as he nearly escapes it, only to be hit square in the chest from another thrown by Ajax.

With bright faces and rosy cheeks, the three of you grin at each other, pants coming out as visible puffs. Your gazes fixes on Childe, the way snowflakes hug his eyelashes and kiss his face. Teucer sniffles loudly, swiping his sleeve across his nose. Only the mumblings of wind and labored breaths can be heard as the festival’s music stopped a while ago. It’s late, most certainly past Teucer’s bedtime, and most people have already gone home. But the three of you remain a little longer. The blueish snow glitters strikingly in the night, and you look up to the moonlit sky.

“Look,” Ajax says, looking up as well. Now the three of you stand, heads facing straight up, faces in awe. Behind some thin clouds, the stars begin to make themselves visible, dancing on a backdrop of deep blue velvet. All seems to go still, but the smiles never drop from your faces.

Every moment this evening you’ve been filled with an overflowing happiness and comfort, that you can’t help let spill out, across your face and all around you. In fact, you’ve seen nothing but happy faces at the festival, with warm drinks and lively music, kids with cookies and crafts, and a bright atmosphere for this cold winter night. Somehow, your smile grows bigger at the thought. Even during these cold and dark days, even with all the stress, you can still find happiness and gratitude, you can still make your own warmness, and share it with others. Your heart settles in your chest, like it’s settling under a mountain of blankets, perfectly cozy a content. And it pumps that feeling through your veins.

As you look back down from the stars, you find Childe at your side, hand intertwined with yours, and with Teucer’s on the other side. You nestle your head into his neck for a moment, and he gently squeezes your hand. If only you could see the pure affection pouring from his eyes. And as time seems to stop for just a moment, this memory is froze within all of you, to look back on in dark and lonely nights. Then, Child leads both you and Teucer back home. And you walk in the beauty of this magical winter night.

My Sad Online Legacy

Right guys so I just saw that in his video about ranking Sims 4 controversies, Youtuber Satch On Sims, who is delightful, actually used my Reddit Post (below) on the saga as the thumbnail to represent the Snowy Escape shrine drama, which he helpfully ranked controversial, right beside the cupcake machine, and under toddlers.

After which he also proceeded to gaslight Asians into not being upset at Japan for killing so many of us, including my grandmother's sister lol and to just let imperialism slide. So it's come to this, guys. This is my sad online legacy now, this is my contribution to Sims media!

I'm joking of course. Mostly. It's just surreal to be watching Sims videos while eating, and then suddenly see my own obscure reddit post appear on a British YouTuber's fun quirky video about historical genocide. Feels kind of full circle somehow, since the British, after lording over my people for more than a century, did surrender to the Japanese and abandoned us to our fate, so there you go, what a laugh. Anyway, I do honestly love his content, he's very funny, but come on, we all respect and understand that it's not ok to use the N word, and that the holocaust happened, so I think it's ok to say that we don't need Shintoism (or any religion) or Rising Sun motifs in a game where you can get eaten by a plant that is also a cow. Just disappointed that he had to use this one random issue to project his own opinions about sensitive Gen Z twitter drama shit stirrers, when he admittedly didn't even know the historical context that made people upset in the first place. Some drama isn't performative. Yes of course it's a pain to sort through them, but labelling all outrage as silly is not just being too lazy, or privileged to do the work, it's also very ignorant. Until Japan fully reconciles with their past, history and trauma unfortunately creeps and oozes up in the most stupid and random of places, like the Sims.

They gave us Cardcaptor though, so it's all good.

Due to the Vierapril prompts, we're jumping around the timeline a bit! Shadow's Elegy is the fic series that takes place during Heavensward, and 'Letter' takes place a short time after Kris and the others get to Ishgard, so the sting and fear from the banquet are still fresh on his mind.

It's interesting writing about what is a very dark time for him as opposed to all the earlier fics I've written so far! Day 14's prompt is 'Waste', it's probably a bit on the nose with all the wasted paper, lol.

"Tch, this won't do…"

Kris balls up the parchment and tosses it unceremoniously on the floor, adding to the pile of discarded paper strewn about the room. The Viera glares down at the new, blank sheet that lies on the desk, as if trying to materialize the words he wants to say--needs to say--out of thin air. 

When the parchment continued to remain blank, Kris lets out a frustrated sigh as he gets up from the desk to look out the window. Cold, dark, snowy… another typical Ishgardian night. As if an instinct, the Rava shivers--living much of his life in a desert has made him ill-suited for the colder climate.

Just another complication… It had been well over a year since he came to Eorzea, since he came to Ul'dah at the bidding of a strange crystal in his dreams. A strange crystal that seemed determined to have him do her bidding, or get him killed with this "power" of the Echo she so kindly bestowed upon him. More like a curse, really.

Since then, everything has been a whirlwind of events. Battles, titles, and a plethora of dangers have been thrust upon him, pushing him to his limits and beyond. The strange affliction was, in fact, a rare enough power that made him able to take down primals and achieve other impossible-seeming feats. Feats worthy of a hero. Of a Warrior of Light.

I never asked for any of this. Kris knew all too well what 'heroism' got you--usually, a knife in your back or a drop of poison in your wine. The Viera has already made his fair share of enemies in his short tenure as the Champion of Eorzea, and it's caused him and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn no small amount of grief.

It was one such enemy that forced the few of them remaining to seek refuge in Ishgard. The cold city-state had an even colder population, but thanks to the hospitality of House Fortemps (or more specifically, the persistence of Lord Hauchehant in finding them asylum), they were able to escape those that wanted to put an end to the Scions.

Of course, such asylum came at its own, unspoken cost. One cannot be a Warrior of Light and simply just exist--there was always a battle to be fought, someone to be saved, an enemy to be vanquished… Ishgard was simply another place where the mantle of 'hero' still wore heavy.

Why did Hydaelyn even choose me? Reyna's the one that's always been stronger, knew the right thing to do. He should be the hero… At the thought of his partner, Kris turned away from the window to look at the discarded parchment strewn about the room. I can't even write a godsdamned letter, let alone save people from whatever ails them.

His frustration no better than it was before, Kris sits back down at the desk, grabbing the quill from the ink well. I never meant to be away for so long, I need to tell him what's happened and that I'm okay…

Is he okay, though? There is little and less he'd call okay about his current situation. Kris tries to shake away the stray thought, but when he returns his attention to the parchment, his hand freezes as he's about to write.

Memories accost him. Memories of returning to the Waking Sands to find all of his comrades dead. Memories of fighting primal after primal, even if his body wanted nothing more than to break down from exhaustion. Memories of desperately fleeing Ul'dah, running from a crime they did not commit.

…It would be selfish of me. To send this. Kris sighs, putting the quill back into the inkwell. I can't drag him into all this, just because I miss him. Even after this… misunderstanding is cleared up, some world-shattering event or another will require the vaunted Warrior of Light's attention. And who would be the first person an enemy would target if they didn't think they could beat him?

He'd be safer far away from me. Kris chuckles at the absurdity of fighting in a war half a world away being safer than being in the Warrior of Light's general vicinity, but considering everything that has happened recently, that appears to be the truth.

The light-haired Rava gets up from the desk once more, this time slowly walking around the room, picking up the discarded parchment as he muttered to himself. "We promised… that if something happened to one of us, we'd move on." Kris throws the parchment into the fireplace, watching the flames for a few seconds before continuing. "This certainly is something… Even if I'm not dead, it's better if Reyna thought I was."

Best for him to move on to something less complicated. Satisfied with the parchment being burnt enough that no one could glean any information from it, Kris makes his way to the bed. Anyone sane enough would want to stay far, far away, I'm sure.

Matthew Goode in the Sims 4

Matthew may well never forgive me for this, but oh well... 😅

I have always enjoyed playing the Sims way back since the Sims 2, though it had been a while since I played recently. However with the new EP “High School Years” that just came out for the Sims 4 - I revisited the game and thought : why not add our lovely Matthew Goode as a Sim 🤔 So after quite a few hours in CAS (more like days lol) and with the help of lots of custom content, I think I am finally happy with the resemblance. The real pros would have created a mask in PS and use the 3D model tool, but yeah am not that talented to give that a try. 😂

As I loved The Offer so much, couldn’t resist recreating Matthew as our wonderful Robert Evans.☺️ In a different save file, why not help out Bob become the most famous Sim celebrity and get his name on those posters? 😉 There’s plenty of The Godfather CC already out there too , so again lots of fun to be had! And in build mode, it could be really interesting to furnish and design the interiors with those late 60s and 70s mid-century decor.

And in yet another save file, why not have fun in the 1900s-1950s playing Downton Abbbey (maybe Henry Talbot finds someone else instead of Mary? 🤔) Explore Dancing on the Edge, Brideshead Revisited , The LPPP Society, The Colour Room or turn Matthew into his upcoming new role as C.S. Lewis in Freud’s Last Session. The fact that those brilliant CC creators have already done the hard work with builds and creating period objects and clothing, makes it super easy to just dive right into new storylines for your sims.

You know, whenever I see the word "favorite," I immediately get stressed out lol. I'm one of those people who provide ten answers when asked for a top three. Anyone who has sent me an ask still sitting in my box with those words can attest to that! lol But I'm going to do my best here, but you're going to get an array (which is good, it provides choice, right? lol)

New Traditions This is a Thanksgiving fic, but I love it because it shows Carolina's family's legacy of service to those in their community, and now Trystan's a part of it. There is tenderness, family, friends, community, love and humor... and the idea of Trystan enjoying Thanksgiving dinner in yoga pants moves me! lol

A Tipsy Winter's Tale A drunken Carolina chasing an even more drunk Trystan through a snowy Central Park as he tries to find the "switch" to turn on the Bethesda Fountain. What's not to love? lol

A Moment in Time (AU) Sure, it's an AU, but it's filled with the pain, longing, and heartbreak of star-crossed-lovers. As someone who loves ripping my own heart out, what's not to love here? lol Some favorite scenes? Their tearful good-bye (brought to life by the amazing @/artbyainne here.) The scene where Carolina is in the bar trying to escape the reality that Trystan is marrying someone else this weekend - only for the news to come blaring on the TV. Trystan woefully stares out at the window at adoring crowds as Mags worriedly watches on, feeling helpless. And... the scene where a pajama-clad Carolina opens her bedroom door expecting to see Ruby, only to find her long-lost-love standing there - in the early morning hours of the day he's supposed to be wed. I am still working on the final part, but I love this little AU.

It's a bet! It's the earliest fic I've written for them, but I love their dynamic from the start. Carolina is so annoyed by him - but no matter how many eye rolls, she wants to know more. He's besotted from the start, but a little baffled because she's not falling for his charm. Their attempts to make each other laugh - especially Trystan with French Fries in his nose - just get me lol

tell me everything about the wyvern: 💢 💚☁️👑🌙

I will gladly tell you about the wyvern!!! Thankyou for the variety! *rubs my paws together* OKAY:

💢ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?

(they have placeholder names so I’ll just leave them as ‘Wyvern’ and ‘Princess’ atm lol)

In dragon society most consider wyverns to be ‘lesser’ only in the sense that they do not value treasure and gold like dragons do. Dragons trade favours, Wyverns are more inclined to trade favours or treasure. In addition to this the magic of the world has been fading and there’s a lot of pointing fingers of who did it which has meant [Wyvern] lives a pretty ‘keep your cards close/fight first ask questions later’ sort of outlook on life. In addition they live in a desolate snowy mountain where blizzards are a near constant threat, so they’re not the most socially inclined individual lol.

Which contrast with [Princess] who has a much more diplomatic approach although she won’t hesitate to get her hands dirty. Due to circumstance of them having to work together they butt heads a lot on how things should be done.

Not that they really understood they why at the time, [Wyvern] gets incredibly defensive and protective of [Princess] when they go to the Dragon Settlement.

In their humanoid/disguised form [Wyvern] feels a lot more vulnerable so they rely on their clawed gauntlet (made of solid ice cause they don’t actually have limbs past the elbow).

💚GREEN HEART - what things make your oc feel comforted? hugs, kisses, food?

The cold and thunderstorms. [Wyvern]’s elemental powers stem from both ice and lightening so being in their element makes them feel most at peace. Later in the story they also find comfort in [Princess]’s presence and their little dragon hatchling the duo find abandoned and promptly adopt.  

☁️CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Despite their differences in opinions of treasure, by the end of the story [Wyvern] comes to understand a dragon’s perspective on treasure (and the form’s ‘treasure’ can take) and why they wouldn’t part with it for anything in the world.

👑CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?

At the start of the story: A cold untameable force that should be feared and avoided. (Stemming from a desire to be left alone upon their mountain to just live in peace.)

At the end of the story: well, that’s still to be decided :3cc

🌙MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

I guess the main driver of the plot from their perspective at least is after [Princess] escapes their lair, their greatest wish is to be freed from the sealing magic that prevents them from returning to their Wyvern form (and home). This leads into a deal being struck with the princess and the journey to find and source of the fading magic. This desire is something that doesn’t change throughout the story. One of those eventually understanding the need to be in a disguise as they go down the rabbit hole of why magic is fading, but also just wanting to be in their own skin/form again.

I decided to rebuild the first house I ever made in sims 4. Haven't done any of the landscaping yet but it already looks WAY better

So here's the outside of the original. I have many questions for me from 6(ish) years ago. The main question being: WHY IS IT SO FLAT????? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE ROOF??? Also, not pictured cuz I'd already deleted it when I went to take before photos, there was a random ass platform just...floating over the house. I still have no idea why.

Also notice the enlarged toy cars in the driveway cuz we either didn't have the debug menu cheat yet or because I had no idea it existed (likely the latter seeing as how I only discovered that cheat within the last couple of years) so I had to improvise with the cars.

Here's the updated version so far. Back still looks flat BUT most houses are generally pretty flat in the back.

As you can see I added a detached garage as I WANTED a garage in the original version but city living wasn't a thing yet so I didn't have the fake garage doors and an attached garage didn't really fit in with the floor plan anywhere AND I didn't wanna fuck with terrain tools when this was just supposed to be a quick remodel of this piece of shit.

Also moved the back deck (its behind the pink tree in the original) cuz it really didn't make sense floor plan wise which you'll see when I post the interior pictures later. It was. Not good.

#sims 4 #sims 4 build #the floor plan for the second floor on the original was a fuckin DISASTER #made no sense #also base game windows are awful #it looks much better with the seasons ones #i use those a lot lol #i wish seasons had its own world cuz i love the build items from it and wouldve loved an entire world in that style #like if theyd waited and made a mountain world for seasons i woulda been ALL over that #i want snowy escape and i do appreciate Japanese style architecture but im not great at building in that style #and since i mainly build in sims that may pose an issue #although i dont know if ill renovate any of the lots in that world #a couple of my favorite youtubers built some of the lots in snowy escape and they did an awesome job
