Din: *shows up to the covert with Grogu in a pet stroller and a small hover cart of things behind him* Buir, I came back!

Armorer: Did you bathe in the mines?

Din: lol nah, I’m on another side quest before I can finish that-

Armorer: *deep sigh* Okay. Why is my bu’ad in a pet stroller?

Grogu: Patu! ‘Jail! Jail for Grogu for a thousand years! My crimes have caught up to me and I am punished with tortures beyond your imagining!’

Din: lol he likes to wander off when I’m not looking. This way he can look about without getting locked in place.

Armorer: okay.

Din: Anyways, I got a contract a week ago that paid me like four times what I would have expected, and they kept giving me items, and when I asked they said it was worth it? So I brought them back for the covert.

Armorer: *instantly on edge cause it sounds like another idiot leader is trying to court her foundling* Oh? Give me a copy of the contract.

Din: *hands that over, and stops the hover cart full of good* Here you go, I don’t know if it’s really worth anything, but I know I don’t have much use for cross body bags. It’s not even the right size for a diaper bag anyways.

Armorer: Well, thank you, Din’ika. I’ll be sure to spread the resources as needed. *sends them on their way after giving Grogu a gentle cuddle and tucking him back into his stroller*

Grogu: Patu! ‘Even grandmother, lovely woman that she is, who gives me gentle ear rubs and good cookies, has abandoned me to my fate so cruel as the confinement chamber, what horrible sin have I committed to be punished as so!’

Din: *leaves with baby*

Armorer: *starts looking through the goods Din was being courted with, eyebrow raising* Paz!

Paz: *comes in, curious* Yes, Goran?

Armorer: You still have a white collar fence for high priced goods?

Paz: …yes. What did Din bring back this time?

Armorer: *hands him a single item*

Paz: …is this a Space Birkin?

Armorer: …yes.

Paz: Dear lord. Good job, idiot. Do I kill the fool to court your ad?

Armorer: …do your research on them.

Paz: Yes, Goran.

Daemon also returns after conquering most of the Stepstones and being named, "King of the Narrow Sea". Daemon swears allegiance to Viserys and hands over his crown.

Session Summary

it was our 69th session, nice. Though technically this summarizes the 67th and 68th session as well, just because that’s pretty much the entirety of the Twilight Lord’s excavation arc.

Note: post is extremely long but I at least throw pictures and the battlemaps I made/used in at places.

The party attempted to descend into the Twilight Lord’s lair, only to discover the only way to access was through traveling in a river of corpses. Having seen Goran disappear into it earlier, they took the plunge, fighting off two giant bone worms while within. Though disgusted at, y’know -- being pinned to corpses with bone shards, they successfully killed them and traveled through the grotesque pile.

Thankfully, the party had a friend on the other side! Goran helped pull them out of the pile. Though he said nothing, seemed he was thankful for the food they gave him earlier. As the party moved forward, he decided to lurk behind him and follow them the whole way. The party kept feeding him, after all!

The group fought the Collector first, the creature responsible for crafting all of the cadaver collectors the party has been running into throughout the entire campaign. After killing him, it was then that they realized he wasn’t undead or a construct -- he was a giant, a living creature, and the last of his kind. Here, Kelogul got a legendary weapon -- taking the creature’s former weapon, a giant fucking log (that deals strength mod * d8 damage).

They headed in further, saw some spooky ominous shit in the ruins, and found what had happened to all the corpses the collectors were collecting. They were reanimated and... digging. They weren’t sure to what end. An ominous mural showed a giant “worm-like creature” destroying a world. Ellerian successfully managed to intuit that the creature was none other than an astral dreadnought. They fed Goran every opportunity (Kelogul kept giving him rum. Rahadin started making fun of Kelogul, telling him the real reason for giving Goran rum was to see how much the elf would drink before puking).

They came into a room with a bunch of faceless steel mannequins, and discovered the crown of the queen that had gone missing, as well as a few, uh. Suspicious bloodstains. Players connected the dots here. Into the next room, they encountered a room full of urns, as well as an ornate one set up in the middle with a bunch of cards. When Ellerian approached to try to draw one, it sprung to life and attacked as the Prophet.

It was a pretty cool fight which I had to buy an actual tarot deck for (the fight mechanics involve its powers being increased depending on the draw), but it was fun, and it terrified the piss out of my players because the thing dealt 383 damage in one round. Mercifully, Ellerian was polymorphed into a dragon at the time. Kelogul missed a whole bunch, blink never worked for Ellerian (an ongoing trend in our campaign), and Yoli got the killshot with a bunch of scorching rays.

They took a rest in the tomb. Goran picked up the cards dropped by the being and taught the party a method of seeing the future -- not with magic, but with the mundane. The end result was the party learning a new skill, Prognostication (they can divine objects and try to see their future or their past as an epic skill). He also gave the deck of cards to Yoli, which wound up being yet another legendary item (5 charges, can use a bonus action to spend as many charges as you want. Each charge either deals 35 damage or heals 35 hp).

(Note: this has also resulted in me having to learn how the fuck tarot cards work, because Yoli now uses prognostication constantly with the deck lol).

They finally pressed on deeper, finding evidence of the Twilight Lord along the way. Blood trails, old ruins. They found a huge old tablet that was purposely damaged and destroyed, and managed to conclude that it was some kind of giant spell scroll. They couldn’t make sense of what it was. Pressing in deeper, they found another one... but this one was blank. Suggesting it had been used. Evidence of the corpses showed that they were former heroes and adventurers who had tried to stop something awful, and failed. The party came to the conclusion it was the Eclipse. Yoli found the corpse of the legendary lizardfolk hero, Ixtzal, and packed the body away to return to her people. The party continued to feed Goran. Kelogul gave him two bottles of rum to double-fist at one point.

(Side lore note: The Eclipse was considered a huge event in the world, where the sun went out for an entire year about 176 years ago and chaos ensued. It set the world back tremendously and is the reason a lot of the nations operate the way they do. I’m not really doing a good job encapsulating how big the Eclipse was in term of campaign events here, but the party finally got closure on it and it was exciting).

Finally, they reached the bottom, heading into a long, stretching hallway leading forward. The party tried to feed Goran... but he refused to eat, instead taking the rations and walking forward. He placed them by a painting of the Three Kings -- one in front of each of the other ones -- before disappearing into the darkness, and it was then that the party connected the dots and realized “aw, shit, this guy’s the final boss huh.”

They finally confronted him in front of one of the giant wall spell tablets, and it was then that the “final battle” started. “Goran” wound up actually being Serafim -- the Lord of Twilight Woods and the last king of the dusk elves. I started initiative and told them that they could either talk to him through RP, use a skill, attack him, or pass their turn. They spent every round trying to talk to him, lol. Nobody attacked and nobody passed. Some generalized notes:

- Yoli was the MVP of the “fight”, being the only one to talk him down successfully without provoking his self hatred every single turn.

- Rahadin existed pretty much just to piss him off throughout the “fight”. He quickly realized that the party was much better at solving... disputes than him and shut the fuck up.

- Kelogul was I think the one that inadvertently convinced him to kill himself every single turn, lmao. His last turn was even spent offering one last bottle of rum out to him so he could drink before he went.

- Ellerian pissed him off before he adapted and learned what worked and what didn’t.

It took 5 rounds, and each round I had a description of how the guy was doing so they could get a gauge on their actions. I went into it not knowing what the fuck they would do, and assuming that the default plan (guy uses the giant spell behind him, then boss battle starts) would go through. I had a final boss fight written and planned. Even had his true form token!

They actually almost ended the fight with him simply killing himself, but Yoli swooped in on literally the last round before he took action to crawl up to him, give him a hug, and offer him three of her “best rations.”

So that was how the fight ended. He dropped the staff and the party was able to speak to him further afterwards, asking him his motivations. When he revealed to them that the spell behind him was simply an extremely powerful wish, Ellerian lost his shit. He gifted Ellerian his spellbook with his notes (a legendary item that not only teaches Ellerian Wish and a number of other cool spells, but is also gonna operate basically identical to the Tome of Stilled Tongue. We use gritty realism, so the player is EXTREMELY excited about it, lol).

The group of them realized that since they pretty much had access to a free wish spell, they could make one right there... and with it, instead of empowering themselves, or reviving their dead friends...

... they chose to break the curse of hunger on the Lord of Twilight Woods.

It was definitely an ‘anime is real and friendship is magic’ ending lol, but all my players are extremely excited. They want to try to go find the goddess that trapped him in the woods (the Queen of Air and Darkness -- the three kings made a bargain with her to escape their former master) next. Unsure if this will be the lead in for the epic campaign or what. Next few sessions will probably be wrap-up and figuring out what they want to do.

Oh also because they released two of the kings (their spirits moved on when they wished to break the curse), said Queen of Air and Darkness is EXTREMELY pissed at them. It will be my in-game way of awarding them their first epic “boon” -- immortality! While technically a boon the entire last half of the campaign has been pretty much about how immortality sucks, lmao.

So we’ll see what happens. I’m gonna leave it up to my players if they want to time skip jump into the epic campaign or play their children for a bit of an intermission. :D

Headcanuary - Day 12

Prompt: religion.

A'Sharad Hett

The Tuskens' religion doesn't center around a God, but around water. The story is that at first, there was a god or a few gods, but then one day they abandoned Tatooine, but not before telling the Tusken that from that point on, all the water on the planet was sacred and was theirs.

Carnor Jax

Through the years, Carnor held onto a lot of the beliefs he learned while he was a child in the care of the Thyrsus Sun Guard. These beliefs involved the honor of battle and the worshipping of deceased Sith Lords as entities who could provide the living with power and knowledge to face different circumstances.

Goran Beviin || Medrit Vasur

While Mandalorians do not have a pantheon. They have some people who allegedly did exist who achieved sainthood/godhood. The main three who Goran and Medrit believe in are Kad Ha'rangir, the destroyer god, bringer of change and chaos, but also the personification of growth and unity; Arasuum, the sloth god, personification of stagnation who tries to tempt clans into becoming selfish and self centered. They're polar opposites and are in an eternal battle against each other. Then there's Hod Ha'ran, the trickster, agent of fickle fortune and bringer of balance.

Mellichae

While Mellichae himself didn't see his cult as a religion, the people who followed him certainly did. Mellichae was like a messiah to them, promising them power and riches beyond their imagination, healing a few broken limbs, proving himself over and over to possess supernatural strength because the Empire kept sending people to kill him, giving them answers for questions that they believed would remain unanswered forever, and lifting things with his mind with such ease, in a time where people who could do that were little more than a distant memory.

関所へと戻っていく斥候に、マッシュも続いて馬を走らせた。 Mathiu made to follow after the scout as the latter turned to go back to the checkpoint.

しかしティルは呆然とデュナンの流れの向こう、東の彼方のゴウラン地方を見つめたまま、動こうとしなかった。 But Tir just stared out past the flowing waters of the Dunan river, dumbfounded. He gazed east, in the direction of the Goran region, not moving a muscle.

馬を止めたままのティルに気づいて、マッシュが馬を返した。 Noticing that Tir hadn’t come with him, Mathiu reined his horse in and trotted back to his side.

マッシュはティルの前に立ち、厳しい目を向けて言う。 The look he gave Tir was relentless.

「ティル殿…．．、お気持ちはわかります……。しかしあなたにもわかっていたはずです。いずれはこの日が来ることを……」 “Lord Tir… I understand how you must feel. But you knew this day would come.”

確かにマッシュの言う通りだった。 Of course, Mathiu was right.

いつかは父と戦う日が来るかもしれない解放軍の全権を継いだ時、確かにティルもそう思った。 Tir had known when he became the leader of the Liberation Army that there might come a day when he would have to fight his own father.

だがその時、ティルは父との戦いを避ける術が、きっとどこかにあるはずだと思っていた。 But he had thought that, surely, he would be able to find a way to avoid it.

だからこそティルは、帝国と戦い続けることができた。 That was precisely why he had been able to continue to fight the Empire.

たとえわずかであっても、その可能性を信じることで。 Even if the chance was slight, he had still held out hope.

しかし父との戦いが迫っている今、もう逃げることは許されなかった。 Now that the day was drawing near, however, he could no longer escape the fact of reality.

ティルの胸のなかで不安は迷いに変わり、目の前の現実が彼に決断を迫っていた。 The unease in his breast turned to doubt and hesitation as he realized he would have to make his decision, and soon.

「ティル殿……」マッシュが言った。 “Lord Tir…” Mathiu murmured.

「うん、わかっている…」 “Yes, I know,” Tir replied sadly.

沈んだ声でそう答え、ティルはマッシュと共に、関所に向けて馬を走らせた。 The young leader and his tactician charged at full speed side by side on their steeds toward the Garan checkpoint.

ティルが重い気持ちで関所の広間に足を踏み入れると、そこに居城から駆けつけたサンチェスと共に、一人の女性が立っていた。 Tir stepped into the checkpoint meeting hall with a heavy heart. A young woman stood waiting there with Sanchez, who had come running from their castle headquarters.

赤い薄手の衣の下に鎖帷子を着込み、鮮やかな黒髪の合間に悲しげな瞳を光らせたその女性は、ティルを見るなり。 The woman wore a thin red garment atop chainmail. Her eyes partly hidden by her gleaming black bangs, she watched Tir with what looked like a sorrowful expression.

ぺこりと頭を下げた。 She bobbed her head in a bow.

「ティル様、私はロッカクの里の忍び、カスミと申します」 “Lord Tir. I am Kasumi, a ninja from the Rokkaku hamlet.”

カスミの瞳を見つめたまま、ティルが言う。 Tir gazed into her eyes as he responded.

「カスミさん、早速ですが、あなたの村が襲われた時の状況を詳しく教えてくださいませんか？」 “Ms. Kasumi. Forgive me for jumping straight to the point, but could you please tell us in more detail about what precisely happened when your village was attacked?”

「はい……」 “Yes, certainly.”

低い声で、カスミはテオの軍との戦いを話しはじめた。 In her low, quiet voice, Kasumi began to tell the story of how Teo’s army had attacked.

それによるとテオの軍は完全武装で、国内最強とうたわれた鉄甲騎馬隊を率いているという。 Not only had Teo’s forces been armed to the teeth, but their ranks included the Gulhorse—the armored cavalry said to be the strongest in the Empire.

鉄甲騎馬隊はガルホースという動物に鉄の鎧を着せ、それに甲胄を着込んだ兵が乗った部隊だ。 The Gulhorse are beasts outfitted in iron armor of their own, and the riders are also clad in armor and helmets.

ガルホースは太い尻尾でバランスを取り、発達した後ろ足で立ち上がり草原を駆ける。 The creatures stand upon two well-developed hind legs and use their large tails to maintain their balance.

体は褐色の体毛で覆われ、走る速度は馬と同じくらいだが、瞬発力と跳躍力はそれを遥かに上回る。 Their bodies are covered in fur such a rich color of brown it is nearly black. They can race across fields at the same speed as a horse, but their physical strength and ability to jump far exceeds a horse’s.

体も頑丈で、馬二頭くらいなら体当たりで弾き飛ばせるほどだ。 The Gulhorse’s bodies are sturdy; one ramming attack from a Gulhorse can send two regular horses flying.

持久力がないのが唯一の欠点だが、ガルホースが疲れはじめる頃には相手部隊を壊滅状態に追いやっているのが常だった。 Their only flaw is their lack of stamina, but their opponents are usually completely destroyed by the time the Gulhorses begin to tire.

しかしガルホースは扱いが難しいため、帝国五将軍のなかでは唯一テオだけが鉄甲騎馬隊を有していたのだった。 Since Gulhorses were known to be so difficult to use, Teo was the only one of the five imperial generals to incorporate them into his forces.

カスミが話を続けている間に、知らせを聞きつけた将たちが広間に集まってきた。 While Kasumi spoke, the leaders who had heard the news began to gather in the room.

Backstory: Nadezhda Kovalchuk grew up longing for a life of extravagant spending. Guardian, 9:31 Dragon

Goran never favoured the parties hosted by the royal family. It was nothing more than an elaborate way of flaunting what he coveted the most. The throne was rightfully his, and it was plucked from his grasp when his uncle Corbin assumed control of Starkhaven despite his father’s dying wish. He despised him ever since.

The cool breeze kissed Goran’s face as he stood on the balcony. He listened to the idle chatter of the elites, and his grip tightened on the silver chalice when his cerulean eyes landed on his relatives. Corbin was seated at the head of the royal table.

For forty long years, Goran has lived his life under his shadow. He was ridiculed in the council meetings, humiliated at political gatherings, and Corbin relished in it. But he wouldn’t any longer. Not after tonight.

His eyes flitted to the mercenaries hidden among the servants. He made a point to memorise their names and their features. He wanted to thank them properly when this was over. The Flint Company may not have had the reputation of the Antivan Crows, but they were skilled enough.

“Lord Vael,” a feminine voice sounded from his left.

Goran turned his head and his expression softened when he saw Johane approaching from the shadowed corridor.

“Lady Harimann,” he greeted formally, offering a curt nod as she stood beside him. “I suspect you have news?”

Johane nodded, lowering her voice, “The doors have been sealed, and your men await your signal.”

“And what of the guards?”

“They have been diverted to patrol outside the palace.”

Goran took a slow sip of his wine, savouring the taste of the rare vintage. “You have my eternal thanks.”

“So long as your gratitude doesn’t end here. Do not forget who arranged your ascent, Goran.” Johane clasped her hands together, “I would hate to see your reign end faster than the Ferelden Blight.”

He gave her a contemptuous look in response to her thinly veiled threat. “Unlike my uncle, I do not forget who my allies are.”

Goran began to move into the hall towards the royal table, leaving Johane behind. He wore a tight-lipped smile when he passed the feasting nobles, ignoring their sneers. They would never turn their noses up at him again.

“Your highness,” he bowed.

“Nephew,” Corbin greeted in a flat tone. “I take it you’re enjoying the celebrations? I must say, I am surprised you haven’t already indulged in the feast.”

Goran willed himself not to scowl.

“Aye, and now that you mention it, Father… His belt has certainly loosened since last we met,” Carsten jeered, and Adain chortled.

He forced a chuckle and ran his fingers through his brown curls. Imbeciles, he thought. He loathed them just as much.

“Where is Meghan?” Goran asked, looking at the empty seat beside Corbin.

“My wife has been feeling ill as of late,” Corbin reached for a roll of buttered bread. “She is abed.”

“Pity. I would have liked to have seen her tonight, but no matter.” Goran waved his hand dismissively, “I pray that she recovers soon.”

“She doesn’t need your prayers.” Corbin tore the bread into pieces before stuffing one into his mouth. “And I doubt anything coming from your mouth will ascend higher than the ceiling.”

His cousins erupted in boisterous laughter again, and Goran pressed his lips together.

“Your highness,” Goran bowed and turned to move to the centre of the hall.

“If I may have your attention,” he called as he moved his eyes around the room. The hall quieted to a whisper and curious gazes followed him. He watched the assassins move into position. “Tonight, we’ve come together to celebrate Wintersend and give our gratitude to the Maker.” Goran said, “But this blessed day also marks the fortieth year of our Prince’s rule of Starkhaven.”

Goran looked at the mercenaries who were moving behind his relatives as the room was filled with applause.

He shifted his gaze to Corbin, and his expression hardened as he saw the smug grin on his face.

“Long may he reign,” Goran raised his goblet.

My rankings of Sherlock Holmes inspired media by how Sherlockian they are. As in not shows about Holmes but shows but shows with leads inspired by Holmes.

Law and Order: Criminal Intent - Criminal Intent is probably the greatest American detective show ever made and lead Bobby Goran is truly on Holmes' level of weirdness and empathy. He also has the best Irene Adler inspired nemesis out of the bunch.

Holmes of Kyoto - Holmes of Kyoto reimagines the Sherlock Holmes premise to the Japanese art world but retains a lot of what makes the original interesting.

Lord El Melloi’s Case Files - While an interesting take on a fantasy world Sherlock Holmes, Waver and his assistant are too tied to greater Fate franchise to really be too much like Holmes and Watson.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - CSI season one was apparently supposed to be modeled on Holmes lore but despite it's focus on empirical evidence Grisham is much too unique to really qualify as a Sherlock based character

Case Closed - While Case Closed really enjoys trying to call itself a Sherlock Holmes inspired story, It takes most of it's inspiration from the Agatha Christie style of detective fiction.

Terravenger Season 6 - Episode 476 (Do Not Copy) - 10.15.2023

Inside a large room filled with lit candles at every part of the room, many individuals dressed only black ceremonial robes and black boots had gathered before their leader who sat at his large chair at the other side.

Mephistopheles had bright-blue skin and long purple horns that were on the top of his head. He had long pale-blue hair with the top part tied into a low pony-tail. He also had a thick beard and mustache that were colored pale-blue. And long nails came from his fingers. He wore a gray shirt with long sleeves and a long V-neck collar. Over it was golden armor which covered both his back and chest. He had on a large purple pad over each shoulder, a thick dark strap around his waist, and a long white cloth wrapped below. He also had on black pants and purple pads protecting his ankles. And his feet were exposed along with long nails coming from his toes.

The emotionless leader announced "It was just brought to my attention that one who was once among us has fled from our safe sanctuary. This person... This mortal. He carries a secret that may overturn our main goal. We must put a stop to him at once. And it must be done by ending his life immediately."

The Light-Bringer closed his eyes and replied "The person we must search for, you all must be thorough when searching for him. Look in every building. Search through every cave. Walk through every place until you have found him. Whoever discovers him will bring him before me."

Then Mephistopheles rose from his chair and revealed "The person who has eluded us. The one who knows my only secret along with the location of our lovely paradise. His name... His name... Thomas Leo Faust."

Terravenger -- Season 6

Episode 476: Revenge; Closing In On Barbarus

During the summer of last year, many of the Light-Bringer's followers dressed in hooded black cloaks flew through the afternoon sky as they followed two warriors.

One of the warriors remaining at the right side was the charming man called Goran. He wore a collared white shirt with a fancy black tie around his neck. And placed underneath his tie was a small golden chest which had a black rectangle that had a white skull at the center. He also had on a black suit consisting of a coat and pants. And he had black dress-shoes over the black socks on his feet. He still had cold purple eyes, fair skin, a strong face, and pale-violet lips. And his short dark hair was combed back.

The other person was the vicious Barbarus who had fair skin, brown eyes, and a well-built body like Goran. He had short blond hair that blew back as a small lock of it remained on the front left side of his forehead. He had a fine beard. And his left arm seemed to be badly burned. He wore a suit of black armor covering both his chest and back. On the top center of the chest area was a thin brown symbol of a devil with the small skull crest placed at the middle. He had on a pair of baggy black pants which had a long white bolt placed on the outside of the left leg. Wrapped around his right wrist was a small black gauntlet. He also wore a pair of short black boots with white at the center. And there was a small golden coin near the right shoulder of the armored top which had a long red cloth flowing to the back.

Barbarus gave a hideous smirk as his partner Goran announced "It was stated that he was located somewhere in the Chen Islands. This will surely be a long look."

"Don't be a buzzkill!" responded Barbarus. "Leo will be good as found. Then we will bring him to our great lord. And I'm sure both of us will be rewarded."

Goran gave a soft chuckle and told him "We should arriving at the border shortly."

"What's wrong Gorie?" asked Barbarus. "Not excited enough? You're not thrilled to kill yet another traitor?"

The restricted Goran placed his right hand on his chest as he lowered his head.

"Wow!" cried the crazed Barbarus. "You really did a number on yourself, huh?"

And Goran thought to himself for a moment.

Goran's thoughts:

At the middle of a quiet rocky field covered in thin smoke, the villainous Goran threw his hands forward as the team of Duo Storms, Hope McCormack, Sage Wood, Laura Griffin, and Alexis Sanyo remained standing at the other side. The entire area around them including Alexis's team slowly melted. And both Goran and Alexis were surrounded by nothing but darkness.

After her form was manipulated by her enemy. Alexis found herself hanging on a large golden cross with each wrist locked in a golden chain on each arm of the cross. And her legs were chained to the bottom of the metallic figure.

Goran soon stood before the captured Alexis as he carried a long rod made of black metal with his right hand.

After that, a worried Goran lowered his head.

He informed his partner "As you have discovered, my ki... My inner self... It was distorted by the power of the lost god, Iah."

Goran continued to hold his chest as he replied "This forbidden technique was brought forth by me to wreak a selected amount of suffering to my former student. But both Alei and I will suffer numerous pain for some time."

Barbarus gave another chuckle and implied "You really wanted to make the Purple Lady pay for betraying our lord."

Goran gave a soft laugh and claimed "Unless a proper medicine has formed, she will suffer greatly for eternity."

Flying through another part of the Chen Islands were a large army of soldiers dressed in a standard white jacket which had pockets at the front and the purple PAF badge on the left side of the chest.

The soldier who led these soldiers was the young commander named Cama Veil. He was a well-built man with fair skin and blue eyes. His dark hair was short with the sides shaved off. He also had a thin beard. He had a large tattoo of a black-lined flame rising from his left wrist. He also had small black dots printed on his right wrist. He wore a protective white suit that covered his chest along with a dark-blue pad on the top of each shoulder. Falling from the top of his right shoulder was a right hand of a human that was painted blue. And he had a picture of a pale-violet creature with large wings printed on the left side of the waist area. He also wore a pair of baggy green-blue pants with large pockets on each side. Placed on the bottom right leg was a picture of a red octopus swimming upside-down while a pale-violet flamingo remained on the upper part of the left leg. He had on a pair of black gloves. His purple PAF badge was placed on the left side of the chest area. And he had on a pair of long black boots with white at the center.

His face was covered with a white mask. On the left side of his mask had a large black dot covering his eye and a thick black shape that resembled a beard at the bottom. But on the right side was a thick brown shape that resembled a beard. And drawn around the right eye was a large lens with a light sky and the top of a pine tree.

Flying by the left side of the commander was another young man. This soldier had fair skin, brown eyes, a well-built body, and a strong face. And his short dark-brown hair was combed back.

At Cama's other side was a young man with a slender but well-built body. He had a pair of brown eyes. He also had fair skin and short brown hair.

The slender soldier reported in a soft voice "My source just informed me that Barbarus and some people in dressed in black cloaks will arrive at the border in a few minutes. We should be there at the same time."

The strong-faced soldier gave a large grin and implied "The people in Chen must not really like this guy. Just another place that Barbarus probably screwed over."

Then he told his commander "It won't be long till we get even with that scum Barbarus. We own this to both Captain Bries and Offier Onni."

The masked Cama continued to face forward as he thought to himself.

Cama's thoughts:

Walking out from a small library somewhere in Silver Jay City was Commander Cama Veil who held a black tablet with his right hand.

On the screen of his tablet was a dead body laying on a slab inside a lab. This was a young man with dark hair that was short and wavy. His sides were cut and had a scruffy beard. He also had fair skin. Both his eyes remained closed. And the rest of his body was underneath a long white cloth.

Cama lowered his head and called out in a calm manner "Andy."

And Cama thought to himself "This is it, Andy. We'll reach Barbarus. You and Wes will get your revenge. You can rest easy."

Cama's thoughts:

While he stood at the front of the library's door, the calm Cama had spoken to the person who stood before the lifeless body on the monitor of the tablet he held.

The voice of a female reported from the tablet "He was found laying at the border of the city a few hours ago. The lieutenant had begged me not to contact you about this. But this is Andy. You needed to know."

Cama soon reported "We'll finally get him Leta. Barbarus is good as caught. He'll answer for what he did to both Andy and Wes. I'll see to that."

A calm female voice informed him from his badge that was also a communicating device "I'm glad that they will finally get justice. Andy's wife is right behind you. She wants you to bring Barbarus in."

"And I will," answered Cama. "I promise to bring him back to Pluto. But I can't promise in what condition the coward will be in."

The female's voice told the commander "Just be careful, Cama. Barbarus is not someone you can take lightly. And he does have the Light-Bringer and his minions by his side. You must expect anything."

The masked Cama told his friend "I already know the Agents of Light will be at his corner. And I'm ready for them this time."

"Okay," said the female. "I'll let Hanen know you're closing in on Barbarus."

"Thank-you Leta," Cama told her. "You've always been a good friend to us. I know Wes and Andy always appreciated you."

"Are you kidding?" replied the voice. "We've been friends since we entered the Academy. I love you guys. I'll do anything for you."

Then the woman told Cama "Do what you have to do. Just give our friends and their families the justice they deserve."

Cama shook his head and answered "Right!"
