Agnes Crumplebottom VS Mayor Whiskers

Agnes Crumplebottom is one of the most iconic baddies in the Sims. She was widowed young, losing her husband Erik Darling, who drowned during their honeymoon. They were planning on having children, and had begun to decorate a nursery in their home. However Erik died, leaving Agnes with a half-finished nursery. The loss of her husband turned her bitter, and she came to resent any displays of affection. She made it her mission to berate any loved up couples nearby, by absolutely annihilating them with her handbag.

Mayor Whiskers is a refined young gentleman. He resides in Brindleton Bay, and is implied to be the mayor of said town. This is supported by the painting “Old Brindleton” which claims the town elected a cat as its mayor. He may be based off of the real life Stubbs the Cat, who was mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska.

In the quaint town of Talkeetna, Alaska, a most unusual mayor captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike. Stubbs the cat began his unexpected political career in 1997 when local residents, dissatisfied with the human candidates, encouraged each other to vote for Stubbs as a write-in candidate. To the town's amusement and surprise, Stubbs won the election, beginning his tenure as Talkeetna's honorary mayor.

Stubbs' office was the counter of Nagley's General Store, where he would hold "office hours," often seen lounging in a bed on one of the counters or sipping catnip-laced water from a wine glass, a sight that delighted visitors and became a unique tourist attraction. His gentle demeanor and approachable presence made him a beloved figure who helped promote the town and drew visitors from all over the world.

Throughout his 20 years in office, Mayor Stubbs survived an attack by a dog, a fall into a cold fryer (which was thankfully switched off), and a close encounter with the wheel of a car. Despite these adventures, Stubbs continued to serve until his peaceful passing in 2017, leaving behind a legacy that exemplifies how even the smallest and unlikeliest candidates can leave a big impact on a community.

-now listen, Alaska does have a state dog, the Alaskan Malamute, over 100 Alaskan kids worked for over 3 whole years to get it to be official, so I don’t think he’s have like, a husky, yknow?

-No, Alaskan Malamutes did not hunt bears, they just scared them away and they occasionally did get seals but they mostly located them as their owners actually got the seal

-No, Alaskan Malamutes don’t actually act like huskies, they’re pretty opposite too honestly

-The owner of Balto and musher of Togo, he was actually rather sad Balto got all the fame rather than Togo or Fox, Balto wasn’t even a lead dog and or was a co-leader with Fox

-Togo went a farther distance and did a more dangerous way, Togo by far actually is considered the bigger hero than Balto in Alaska

-Togo and Balto were Siberian Huskies, Balto was nurtured at a young age and Togo’s bloodline still is alive

-The reason why Balto got all the fake was cause the news agents that heard about the story deemed Fox was too bland of a eye catching name :/ sucks, really

-most of the dogs that helped in the Run were Alaskan Malamutes, they made up over half of the teams that participated

Personally if you asked me, I would love to tell you Alaska likes both cats and dogs equally, but leans a little more to cats for companionship, sure dogs are good and necessary but I just don’t know why dogs have to be his favorite

I'm a big fan of replacing government positions with animals, partly because it's funny, and partly because it demonstrates how useless some of these positions are.

Like Stubbs, the feline mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, the Clay Henry mayoral dynasty of Lajitas, Texas (all goats), and the town of Picoaza in Ecuador, which voted Pulvapies as its mayor.

Ok this is a bit random, but some organizations have cats in their positions such as: Tama the station Master, Stubbs an honorary Mayor, Larry Chief Mouser, and Y’know what I’ll even throw in some Vets that have Vet cats that wonder around (I think these are just pets of veterinarians but they do their part).

I can’t remember exactly where I was going with this, but I guess the point is- since the Researchers are mostly focused on the research of the cats and tourism, would they have idk a cat position for the organization. Their job would be very important as they greet any tourist, and be someone for the researchers/volunteers to hang with.

Idk this isn’t a super serious idea, but I thought it would just be a cute idea :,D a Researcher cat to hang out with Researchers

Man, that would be adorable. Unfortunately, there is no overall feline representative for the park, though if there was, I'm sure business would boom even more. The colonies are just too shy to have one of them be seen often enough to become the representative, much less actively seek out the staff.

Though I'd love that. Just imagine a representative of each colony hanging out to get pets and educate the masses. Little ShadowClan kitty being cooed over and given treats because the poor thing is just so skinny. Everyone would want to pet the RiverClan cat, I know it.

History of International Cat Day

Cats are carnivorous small furry mammals — for the most part — with four legs, a tail, and claws, that humans have domesticated as pets since ancient times, even though they have descended from the African Wildcat and they used to catch vermin.

The first historical human record about cats could be found in Ancient Egyptian Civilization’s culture. We all seem to relate cats with Egyptians, because of their adoration and consideration of cats as gods. Mafdet was the first known cat deity and was regarded as the protector against snakes, scorpions, and evil during the First Dynasty, so for them, cats were not just deities, but also protectors.

Later, after the Egyptian Dynasty collapsed, Cats became popular everywhere! Greeks and Romans used them as pest control, and in the East, cats were originally owned by rich and wealthy people. But during the Middle Ages, in Europe, Cats became associated with superstition and suspected of carrying the disease during the Black Death of 1348, that is the reason why too many cats got killed in that era, and it wasn’t until the 1600s that cats’ reputation started to recover.

In America, cats were part of the cargo on the colonization ships to minimize vermin and disease, so those cats went ashore and flourished. Nowadays, cats seem to be one of the pop icons in modern society – we have about half of a billion among us. And, since 2002, thanks to the “International Fund for Animal Welfare” cats have their own holiday!

there is a town in alaska called talkeetna and their mayor is a cat :) his name is denali, and he took over for mayor stubbs who was mayor from 1997-2017. sidebar i've been there and it is fucking gorgeous

i do not know how to swim. that is a fact. no i am not joking, no i don't know how to float, if i'm in water it is natural selection and survival of the fittest and it will not be me.
