Dear Diary,

Hung out with Charlie today.  Tried to get him to say what my b-day gift is, no success.  Little shit.  Joe Bob (orange tabby living in the alley) hasn’t shown his dopey mug in a while, I’m kinda worried.  I’ve been seeing a lot more missing pet posters lately.  Mom’s flight got delayed again, so she won’t be home for another couple days.  Thank fucking god.  I have the house all to myself for the rest of the week, yay me.  Our apartment feels too fucking small for the both of us lately.  Bitch can’t accept that she has a son instead of a daughter.  Old Lady Walters called me a “handsome young man” today so that’s a win.  Who knew that face masks work wonders for being gendered correctly?

If I had to describe their characters in the briefest way possible, it's kind of like... Icarus meets Prometheus? The human who wishes to achieve godhood VS the god who yearns to be human.

Thoughts on Grima in FEH? I personally am a big enjoyer of this horrible little guy getting picked up by the scruff and dragged kicking and screaming into therapy by the summoner.

OOF... UNFORTUNATELY... I have zero complex thoughts about Grima 😅 I do think it's interesting, from the many Grima and Robin interactions in FEH, that there's almost this self-fulfilling prophecy to it, like Grima believes no matter what they Have to be this way. That all roads lead to this, and there's no changing it. And in believing that, they make it their reality.

HOWEVER. I do get really stuck on just. How they talk. Top Ten Least Effective Insults: Worm.

They are like middle school bullies to me...... at least in FEH specifically where they will just harass Robin to no end LMFAOOO (and anyone else they have a bone to pick with)

I do think they can have a little therapy. As a treat :) (they could use it.)

y'know how before the ada has to deal with the mafia, in theory dazai gave the ada a rundown on the ability users of the mafia to watch out for, right? including chuuya

imagine like, talking about stories from the mafia or something in the ada, dazai offhand mentions something about having had to work together to 'beat up chuuya's weird older brother' or something. just, super drive-by sort of mention

but the ada is like... "nakahara has a brother???" because, holy shit, if one of the most dangerous members of the mafia has a big brother, how dangerous is said big brother?

but the only other person there that's ever met verlaine is kyoka, right? but she met him after he shunned himself off to the basement to train assassins.

and with her typical Kyoka background levels of Haunted in her voice just kind of mentions "he... isn't a very happy man." or something

and like. maybe the rest of the ada imagines 'unhappy' as in kind of quick-to-anger and grumpy like chuuya, but even he can have a laugh with the ada now and then.

but no, verlaine's unhappy in a way only people who've lost someone dear to them in front of their eyes can be unhappy.

and the people there in the ada that (as far as we know right now) can relate to that feeling? are the people that have met verlaine. dazai and kyoka. and i think the mood would shift for a little bit in there for a while before dazai cracks some joke to break the odd tension that forms.

I love the kawoAsuRei friendship in this series so much: the way kaworu shielded rei and encouraged her to express herself more, asuka standed up for rei, and asuka declared companionship to kaworu while kaworu worried about her safety. It's especially refreshing to see kaworu bonding with people other than shinji

And YEEEESS YOU GET IT!!! As much as I love Kaworu and Shinji's relationship, it made me a little sad that Kaworu hardly got to interact with characters other than him in the main canon, so I LOVEEE that CA introduces him at the beginning and as one of the main characters with the other kids. Him getting to interact and form relationships with Rei and Asuka too is so exciting and so much fun!!!

His and Rei's relationship is so sweet, they give off the impression that they're very close - they feel like siblings almost? He's pretty affectionate with her and she's the only one who knows Kaworu's an angel until he tells Shinji... Plus her asking Kaworu for help when she wanted to learn how to cook despite him implying to be just as clueless about it was really cute 😭😭

Asuka and Kaworu have such an interesting dynamic too!!! They're friends but she puts some distance between herself and the "weirdo brigade" as she puts it to try and retain a sense of normalcy, and she calls Kaworu a freak likely as a lighthearted jab while none the wiser that he's an angel, but that coupled with the fact that angels killed her parents in this universe adds some tension to it...

It was interesting to draw not just a simplified horse, but someone else's simplification of a horse. Those are different shapes than I do! Also, a note on Delores' hair: she's bald in the show because of course she is, it's pretty common for mannequins to be bald, but why would a carousel statue lady be bald? They're not gonna put a wig on those, the hair would be molded on. So I drew her as having had hair at some point, but broken off by now
