The coronavirus that spread across the United States and became a pandemic in March 2020 will go down as one of the most difficult times in our nation’s history. Nearly every American experienced significant disruptions to their daily lives, with financial issues and physical isolation often leaving permanent scars. It was a terrible time, and one we will never forget. Today, however, things are looking up. President Biden recently declared that Covid is no longer a national emergency. What does that mean? Well, I’ll tell you.
We are post-pandemic. We are immortal. Those still alive cannot die.
It is time to bask in the knowledge that we have defeated the feverish viral scourge. Go forth without fear, because those malevolent RNA intruders can harm you no longer. You are the chosen Americans. The virus has been banished from every corner of our great nation, even stupid fucking Arkansas, who never listened to me, and you have emerged from the other side as survivors. Join me in celebrating mask-less in a very crowded room, my friends, for nothing—nothing—can take your life now.
Full story.

march 10th, 2020 ( chapter 4 , week 2 )
sypnosis: The new year has just started– you’re moving into a place with your closest friends after reaching the peak of your career. Now that you can afford to live in Tokyo, you can finally spend time with your closest friends and go out on the town to further grow your YouTube channel. It’s time to have a new start in your new place and meet hot, rich people to be your possible future partner. This is the life to live; it’s great being famous and living in a big city with your best friends!
Wait, never mind– COVID-19 is in Japan? Fuck.
Well, at least there’s this one hot guy you keep seeing on Tik Tok who keeps posting about cleaning.
[ 9 : 02 AM ]
You were nursing a warm cup of hojicha to your chest in your favorite mug. Your legs were crossed atop a white modern-style stool by your kitchen island. This was your morning routine– you’d wake up (at some point), drink either some tea or coffee, and check your phone before staring out the window and questioning life.
There were many windows in your apartment. They spread out across the walls, giving the room lots of sunlight. You always pulled up the blinds in the morning.
Things were only getting more worrying in the news. Today, the government of Japan officially declared the coronavirus outbreak a national emergency. As of this point, there are 514 people infected and there have been 9 deaths in total. The emotional strain it’s taken on you is already terrifying. You’re seeing articles about the state of corona in China, and it’s even worse.
You text your parents a couple times every day, making sure they haven’t caught anything. Their growing age worries you. If they caught the virus, what would happen? You don’t think you could handle it. You’re too young for that right now. You look at the clouds in the distance through the window, the entire sky blanketed in a thick cover of gray fluff, offering wishes to the sky.
It’s getting warmer and more humid outside. Around this time, you were planning on buying a bunch of spring clothes for some new videos. You couldn’t leave the house, though.
But you didn’t mind that. You were just waiting for the end of this in a couple weeks. You wanted to stop worrying about your parents and about your friends. It was exhausting, looking at the news and worriedly going to the Phone app to call your parents to check if they’d left the house or if they started developing random symptoms.
You get knocked out of your anxious trance when you hear Hinata opening the door from his/Oikawa’s room and yawning a muffled “good mornin’” to you. You uttered one back to him, smiling as you finished the last of your hojicha and hopped of your stool to walk over to the sink, washing your mug and placing it into the dish rack.
“How was your sleep?” you ask as a way to distract yourself, heading back to your favorite stool.
Hinata was in the middle of grabbing bacon, eggs, and orange juice from the fridge for an American-style breakfast. He sighed when he heard your question. “See this bump right here?” he pulled his bangs from his forehead and pointed to the growing red bump on his head. “I hit my head again.”
You laughed at him, causing him to groan and release his hair back onto his forehead, fluffy orange curls flopping back down. “We should really get those shelves removed. It’s not like we use them anyway,” you said, pausing. “Hm. I guess we should remove them after coronavirus ends.”
Hinata just turned on the stove and placed a pan onto it. “Want some?” he offered, putting oil on the pan and waiting for it to heat up. He turned on the stove fan, so you listened as the machine whirred to life and started breathing in the delicious smells of fried bacon.
“Absolutely!” you thought for a moment before speaking up again. “Hey, why don’t we get some pool noodles, cut them, and then put them onto the edges of the shelves? It’ll protect your head at night.”
He turned back to you for a moment, his eyes brightening. “That’s genius!” Then he paused and narrowed his eyes at you. “Wait. Isn’t that what they do to babyproof a house?”
Laughing, you nod your head. “It would still protect your head, though! Maybe I’ll order some the next time you hit your head again.”
The ginger scoffed. “Please just get them now. You know I’ll hit my head again!” he complained before realizing the bacon finished cooking. He placed the bacon evenly onto four plates.
You watched his back as he moved around, grabbing one of the eggs from the carton. He cracked the egg open, gingerly dropping it into the pan as it sizzled and hissed in the bacon’s grease. Meanwhile, he plugged the (really cute) white retro-style toaster into the power outlet and plopped pieces of bread into it for the eggs.
You were very proud of this toaster. You gave it to them as a housewarming present before you knew you were going to move in, knowing that you wanted the toaster for yourself. You were glad that you inevitably started owning it.
Hinata made four plates for everybody and placed yours in front of you. Grinning, you told him to move close to the plate so you could take a photo to show off how great of a roommate you had. He smiled brightly behind the plate, putting up two peace signs.
It smelled amazing. These were the kinds of moments you were grateful for when you moved in. You were really looking forward to more of these moments.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today is upload day! Starting last week, you’ve started to double the amount you normally upload onto YouTube. This, of course, means that you need to work twice as hard, but you’ve been stuck inside, so there’s not much else to do.
You’re waiting as your video uploads to your channel, sitting in the living room next to Oikawa as he edits one of his videos. He’s wearing blue-light glasses and a fluffy grey bathrobe that you gifted him for Christmas, sitting with his legs rested atop an ottoman and ankles crossed together.
He’s truly the epitome of a modern-day man. In his earbuds, his voice plays over and over again as he cuts and moves around clips of himself. You’re doing the same, editing a video for next week.
Today, you’re uploading a video for outfits in quarantine. You pray that the algorithm takes kindly to this. In your video, you clarify your update to your uploading schedule, and you tell everybody to stay inside and stay safe before giving them tips for outfits. Of course, all of the clothes are linked in your description. You aren’t a monster.
In fact, you’re wearing one of those outfits that you showcased in the video– some sweatpants and a mock neck sweater underneath your graphic-designed sweatshirt. Of course, you popped on quite a lot of jewelry. After all, “accessories are necessities,” as you always repeat in your videos.
Your hair is put in a cute and trendy hairdo– one stolen straight off of TikTok.
When the sound of your own voice and the sight of your face starts to repulse you, you put down your laptop and head to the fridge for a drink. “Hey, ‘Kawa! Want somethin’ to drink?” you call from the kitchen to the living room to ensure that Oikawa can hear you through his earbuds.
He jolts for a moment and pulls out an earbud in his panic. “Oh! Yes! Could you grab me a juice?”
You grunt out an affirmation before sitting back down next to him and handing him his mug. During this gesture, he also puts away his laptop and lets out a relieved sigh while stretching out his arms and wrists. “Have you finished uploading yet?”
You check your laptop quickly, seeing it at 58%, and then shaking your head. You pull yourself into a sitting fetal position on the couch, and you face Oikawa. “So, I talked to Kenma about doing some sort of Minecraft server thing with him and uploading it to our channels. Wanna join? I’ve already asked Tobio and Shoyo.”
Oikawa’s eyes widened. “A Minecraft server? Dang, I haven’t touched that game since 2015… but my builds were god-tier, so yes. Absolutely.” He finished the last of his juice. “Get ready to be pranked 24/7.”
This statement makes you cackle. “What makes you think that? I’ve destroyed you so many times in Mario Kart. I doubt you’ll be any better at Minecraft. Do you even know what a cave is?”
He rolls his eyes. “You only ever win because you cheat!”
“How is following the game’s rules cheating?!” You laugh as he accuses you.
“Stop placing banana peels in front of me!”
“Dude. Bro. ‘Kawa. I love you man, but you can’t blame the game’s mechanics for losing in this case. Accept that you suck.”
Oikawa ceases this subject matter because he knows he’s lost. “Anyway, when are we gonna do it?”
Craning your head up to the ceiling, you say, “Honestly? I’m not sure yet. Maybe about a week or two. Maybe when we’re out of this quarantine?”
He then crosses his arms together. “I wouldn’t bet on this ending anytime soon. I think it’s going to last longer than two weeks… Why are you so convinced it’ll end soon?”
“I don’t know. I guess it’s because I can’t imagine it lasting any longer. I don’t want it to,” you admit, bringing your gaze back down to the ground and groaning. “I’m worried about my parents.”
He pats your back to comfort you, and rubs your shoulder to ground you. “It’s alright. We’ll keep sending them groceries every two weeks, so they won’t have to leave the house. I’m sure they’ll be okay.”
Then, a notification sound knocks you out of your emotional state again. “Oh! It’s finished uploading!” You then get busy liking and responding to comments to distract yourself from your worries.
Oikawa glances at you and gives you a soft smile before getting back to his editing.

[ 10 hours later ]
You shrieked in your bedroom after checking on the video you just uploaded, a hand clasped over your mouth after the high-pitched noise. It was the dead of night, but your brain didn't even register that you made a horrifying noise.
Your brain was completely frozen, staring at the screen on your laptop.
Worried, Oikawa, Hinata, and Kageyama all rushed to your door and opened it in a panic.
"What's wrong!? Is there a pervert!? A thief!?" Oikawa screamed, holding up a lamp as a makeshift weapon.
Hinata was holding a plant. Kageyama wasn't even holding anything. He just looked sleepy, confused, and worried.
The ginger had definitely shuffled out of bed at your scream, and you could see a red bump forming on his nose from where he probably tried to get up in a rush to make sure you were okay.
"G-Guys. I reached three million views in ten hours!" You screamed, jumping off your bed and jumping for joy into their arms.
The three men were frozen for a moment, confused. This was before they started jumping with you, smiles of joy cracking open at their faces.
"Oh my god! We need to celebrate! Let's grab some champagne!"

Last week, in his State of the Union address, President Joe Biden told the American public that “we have broken COVID’s grip on us.” Highlighting the declines in the rates of COVID deaths, the millions of lives saved, and the importance of remembering the more than 1 million lost, Biden reminded the nation of what was to come: “Soon we’ll end the public-health emergency.”
When the U.S.’s state of emergency was declared nearly three years ago, as hospitals were overrun and morgues overflowed, the focus was on severe, short-term disease. Perhaps in that sense, the emergency is close to being over, Deeks told me. But long COVID, though slower to command attention, has since become its own emergency, never formally declared; for the millions of Americans who have been affected by the condition, their relationship with the virus does not yet seem to be in a better place.
Even with many more health-care providers clued into long COVID’s ills, the waiting lists for rehabilitation and treatment remain untenable, Hannah Davis told me. “I consider myself someone who gets exceptional care compared to other people,” she said. “And still, I hear from my doctor every nine or 10 months.” Calling a wrap on COVID’s “emergency” phase could worsen that already skewed supply-demand ratio. Changes to the nation’s funding tactics could strip resources—among them, access to telehealth; Medicaid coverage; and affordable antivirals, tests, and vaccines—from vulnerable populations, including people of color, that aren’t getting their needs met even as things stand, McCorkell told me. And as clinicians internalize the message that the coronavirus has largely been addressed, attention to its chronic impacts may dwindle. At least one of the country's long-COVID clinics has, in recent months, announced plans to close, and Davis worries that more could follow soon.
Scientists researching long COVID are also expecting new challenges. Reduced access to testing will complicate efforts to figure out how many people are developing the condition, and who’s most at risk. Should researchers turn their scientific focus away from studying causes and cures for long COVID when the emergency declaration lifts, Davids and others worry that there will be ripple effects on the scientific community’s interest in other, neglected chronic illnesses, such as ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis or chronic fatigue syndrome), a diagnosis that many long-haulers have also received.
The end of the U.S.’s official crisis mode on COVID could stymie research in other ways as well. At Johns Hopkins University, the infectious-disease epidemiologists Priya Duggal, Shruti Mehta, and Bryan Lau have been running a large study to better understand the conditions and circumstances that lead to long COVID, and how symptoms evolve over time. In the past two years, they have gathered online survey data from thousands of people who both have and haven’t been infected, and who have and haven’t seen their symptoms rapidly resolve. But as of late, they’ve been struggling to recruit enough people who caught the virus and didn’t feel their symptoms linger. “I think that the people who are suffering from long COVID will always do their best to participate,” Duggal told me. That may not be the case for individuals whose experiences with the virus were brief. A lot of them “are completely over it,” Duggal said. “Their life has moved on.”
Kate Porter, a Massachusetts-based marketing director, told me that she worries about her family’s future, should long COVID fade from the national discourse. She and her teenage daughter both caught the virus in the spring of 2020, and went on to develop chronic symptoms; their experience with the disease isn’t yet over. “Just because the emergency declaration is expiring, that doesn’t mean that suddenly people are magically going to get better and this issue is going to go away,” Porter told me. After months of relative improvement, her daughter is now fighting prolonged bouts of fatigue that are affecting her school life—and Porter isn’t sure how receptive people will be to her explanations, should their illnesses persist for years to come. “Two years from now, how am I going to explain, ‘Well, this is from COVID, five years ago’?” she said.
A condition that was once mired in skepticism, scorn, and gaslighting, long COVID now has recognition—but empathy for long-haulers could yet experience a backslide. Nisreen Alwan, a public-health researcher at the University of Southampton, in the U.K., and her colleagues have found that many long-haulers still worry about disclosing their condition, fearing that it could jeopardize their employment, social interactions, and more. Long COVID could soon be slated to become just one of many neglected chronic diseases, poorly understood and rarely discussed.
  —  Long COVID is the emergency that won’t end

The 10-Minute Rule for Jewish Life in Modern Germany and Historic Responsibility
Rumored Buzz on Types of Jews - My Jewish Learning

Jews turned down the idea of Jesus' messianic divinity, a belief antithetical to the fundamental basis of Christianity. Following the 2nd Jewish revolt versus Rome, in 135 C.E., the Jews were driven out of Jerusalem and thereafter lived throughout the Roman Empire and later the emerging middle ages states. In 600 C.E., the completion of the Talmud provided a basis for a reorganization of Jewish life according to Rabbinic precepts.
They lived in their own communities, worshipped in their own tradition, and followed particular laws. They were, however, based on laws developed and implemented by Christians. Throughout the Middle Ages the Jews became increasingly marginalized since of political and financial downsides.
They lived under the defense of the King, yet this likewise meant that they were susceptible to his impulses. Jews were also not able to own Christian slaves, or take Christian oaths, thus excluding them from the feudal and manorial systems. Therefore, the only professions available to them were those of craftsmens, traders, or money loan providers.

Covid Global Health Emergency is over, WHO
Tumblr media
The World Health Organisation declared Covid-19 to no longer be a global health emergency on Friday.
The public health emergency of international concern, or PHEIC, proclamation should stop, according to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who spoke about the pandemic during the organization’s 15th conference on Coronavirus 19 on Thursday.
Tedros stated at a news conference on Friday that “the pandemic has been on a downward trend for more than a year.”
According to Tedros, “this trend has allowed most nations to go back to life as we knew it before COVID-19.” “The emergency committee convened for the fifteenth time yesterday, and they suggested to me that I declare the public health emergency of international importance to be over. That recommendation has my consent.
About six weeks prior to declaring the coronavirus epidemic as a pandemic, the organisation designated the outbreak as a public health emergency of global concern in January 2020.
A PHEIC establishes an agreement between nations to follow the WHO’s guidelines for handling the disaster. Each nation independently declares a public health emergency, which has legal force. They are used by nations to mobilise resources and suspend regulations in order to disperse crises.

Bob Woodward:  The Ultimate Hack
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), April 30, 2022.--Preaching to the anti-Trump choir, Yahoo News Michael Isakoff’s “Skulduggery” Podcast assembled the scoundrels used in the 2020 presidential campaign to defeat 75-year-old former President Donald Trump.  Washington’s Post-turned-Democrat-political hack Bob Woodward, anti-Trump media hound Atty. George Conway, husband to former Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway, and Post journalist Carol Leonnig, all had good fun ranting about Trump.  But Woodward’s book, “Peril,” published during the 2020 presidential campaign laid the entire blame for the Covid-19 global pandemic on Trump.  Woodward claimed that he interviewed Trump Jan. 28, 2020, claiming Trump knew everything about the emerging global pandemic but withheld vital information from the public.  When Woodward interviewed Trump, the World Health Organization [WHO] did not declare a global pandemic until March 11, 2020.    Woodward yucked it up with his anti-Trump pals on Isakoff’s podcast, now making more outrageous statements about the 25th Amendment, continuing the same specious argument that Trump was insane, needing to be removed from office.  He cites Chariman of the Joint Chiefs of State Gen. Mark Miley, another Trump-hater, to show in 2020 he was concerned about Trump ordering the Pentagon to launch a nuclear strike against China. Anyone who knows anything about Trump, he’s the last one to fire nukes or commit the U.S. military to wasteful foreign campaign. Woodward—and the Democrat Party—wants to prevent Trump from running again in 2024.  Recent reports from the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York indicate that Trump will not be indicted on the bogus charge of inflating real estate values.  New York’s prosecutors have given up on Democrats’ fantasy.    U.S. public has a right to know that Woodward, a once celebrated journalist of Wattergate fame, has turned into a Democrat political hack.  He talks about the urgency of using the 25th Amendment, a mechanism for removing a president from office due to mental-or-physical incapacity, to stop a possible nuclear war.  Woodward says nothing about President Joe Biden’s $33 billion proxy war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation that has pushed the European Continent—and the world—to the brink.  Woodward doesn’t like to admit the world was a stable place under Trump.  But now under Biden, the world is closer to WW III and possible nuclear war than at anytime after WW II..  But no, for Woodward, Conway and Leonnig, it’s all about Trump, not about Biden pushing the world the brink.  If there were ever a time to use the 25th Amendment, it’s now with Biden.    Can you imagine yucking it up on Isakoff’s podcast, totally ignoring what’s happening in Ukraine.  No discussion at all about the Biden strategy to degrade the Russian military and topple Putin’s government.  No, Isakoff must continue the Trump-bashing because it plays well to his audience looking for any anti-Trump rhetoric they can get.  Woodward knew he set Trump up in 2020 in his book “Rage,” to make the Democrat argument that Trump wasn’t fit for office because a raging pandemic started in a Wuhan, China laboratory.  None of Isakoff’s so called investigative reporting or Woodward’s, for that matter, pay any attention to the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus.  All that mattered was that enough voters blamed Trump’s mismanagement for the hundreds-of-thousands of U.S. deaths from the pandemic.  Forget about Trump getting the vaccines one week after the Nov. 8, 2020 election.    Woodward insists that it’s important to invoke the 25th Amendment on Trump, even though Biden’s brought the world closer to nuclear war.  “It’s less important that Donald Trump be prosecuted than that  . . . we should perform the operation of the 25th Amendment,” Woodward said, making no sense.  “My God, the Chinese thought were going to attack them before the 2020 election,” Woodward said.  “Gen Miley and the people in the Pentagon were—and not just disturbed, were apoplectic about it, and apoplectic about Trump and his mental state,” Woodward quoted another spurious source Gen. Mark Miley.  Miley, like Woodward, were part to the Democrat Party strategy to defeat Trump in the 2020 election.  Miley now works for Biden, bringing the world dangerously close to WW III and possibly nuclear war.  But Isakoff’s podcast chooses to repeat more nonsense about Trump.    No mention was mad in Isakoff’s podcast with Woodward, Conway and Leonnig about the dire situation in Ukraine and prospects for WW III.  All Woodward likes to talk about is that Trump’s the crazy one, needing the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.  How does the 25th Amendment apply to a Democrat president like Biden with known cognitive impairments, deciding on the most dangerous gambit in U.S. history trying to take down the Russian Federation/?  No, for Isakoff there’s no need to question a U.S. Ukraine policy that has pushed the European Continent to the brink of WW III.  Biden’s underlings, like 59-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken and 45-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, make the case for WW III.  Where’s the intellectual honesty with Democrats knowing that Biden’s Ukraine strategy could set world ablaze on the European Continent? About the Author John M. Curtis writes politically neutral commentary analyzing spin in national and global news.  He’s editor of OnlineColumnist.com and author of Dodging The Bullet and Operation Charisma.

Everything can change in a New York Minute
Looking back, it was like watching the trailer to a surreal movie in slow motion unable to find the stop button March 2020. The week leading up to lockdown was definitely showing bizarre signs of what lay ahead without us all knowing it and as we all avidly followed the news updates it became very apparent that this impending virus was steam-rolling day by day, then hour by hour. It was not going away and was all my team & students could talk about: they were, rightly very concerned.
In-between leaving work on Friday and returning Monday morning the whole world changed and I had no idea what to do. I was the Executive Director of 2 Cosmetology Schools in NYC and responsible for a team, student body & facility. I stayed glued to the TV and social media all weekend in disbelief as one-by-one whole infrastructures announced closures as per Governor Cuomo's Executive Order & non essential workers were advised to work from home as emergency state mandates were announced.
Side Note: Regardless of what lay ahead for Cuomo I firmly believe that NY would have fared much, much worse without his strength, leadership, firm directive and daily briefings which became the highlight of the day to New Yorkers.
Not sure what to do I did what I did every day and went to work, not really sure what I would find. I had recently moved from living within walking distance to work in SoHo NYC to commute from outside of Manhattan. The journey that morning was filled with tension & empty seats as I had no idea what lay ahead. One-by-one my team apologetically called out for the day filled with fear of commuting and being around others in our School & Academy, I told them I would be in touch asap with a plan when I had met with our owner. Surprisingly 10 students showed up where I promptly sent them home and told them we would be voluntarily closing today ahead of the start of the enforced shut down scheduled from tomorrow in order for all to stay safe, I would be in touch later in the day and see them in 2 weeks (famous last words!)
Tumblr media
It was determined our locations would close and we would see how the week played out. Everyone was scared of the unknown however it really was an unwanted taster of the impending shock & absolute disbelief that would consume the next few weeks before real life fear kicked in. Living in NYC for 12 years at that time I thought I had seen it all; hurricanes, floods, black-outs and so much more but this was like nothing else ever imagined in my lifetime.
Tumblr media
As time went on and it became apparent this was not going away and was increasing daily, our lives became consumed with the purpose of our collective new mantra of "flatten the curve." I continued to go to work for the remainder of the week to work on next steps & monitor the situation stopping only to watch The Governor's daily briefing showing the latest increase in numbers & spread while his Instagram posts became the only ones in my feed of any value.
Tumblr media
We had 100+ current students studying Cosmetology, Barbering & Esthetics, classes scheduled to graduate, new classes scheduled to start, kits scheduled to be delivered, schedules planned, a new program to implement & get accredited, an impending inspection visit, weekly advanced and on the road classes and so much more. Then the carpet was well and truly pulled from under our feet so by Friday our small skeleton team had tricked home & finally I went home not knowing when we would return and see each other again.
Tumblr media
Although the Training School was not my business I treated it as if it was: I had started the school, got it licensed & accredited, written all the programs, hired & trained all the staff and purchased every piece of furniture & equipment, I did not want to see it shut down never to reopen but literally at the time it was impossible to continue safely so we paused and waited. I had no idea at this time of the future worldwide extent of the pandemic and from a personal level the hoops I would have to jump through to for the School to adjust direction to fight to remain in business and to keep myself & our team employed.
Tumblr media
In hindsight we had absolutely no idea the pandemic would still be around and potential cause for concern 2 years later as we aimed to get through every day safely the best we could and make it to the next day. I write this now March 2022 to remind myself of the severity of the situation & emotions we all went through on a daily basis and how it actually felt at the time as our outlook now is very different than it was then: during the darkest times I really thought it was the end of the world and I may never see my family & friends again.
Tumblr media
To distract myself I began to walk around the empty streets just to check the world was still there and I was not the only survivor in a real life disaster movie At first it felt weird taking my camera so I just took my phone and felt guilty for every photo I took: like I should not be there without purpose but gradually felt more comfortable and my walk was the only normal in life and the thing to look forward to. As a landscape/cityscape photographer I was used to walking around empty streets early morning to gain a different perspective however this was like nothing I had ever experienced, as all the people had literally disappeared and the streets simply stopped.
Tumblr media
Living overseas for an extended time has provided me with amazing benefits that I couldn't possibly list here and having lived in 2 additional different countries than my UK home for over 20 years I highly recommend it to all however living alone, overseas during a global pandemic is not something I could have ever imagined or planned for. My work was my daily focus and after being furloughed for 2 weeks it became apparent that if I was to keep myself and our team in their jobs then I would have to develop a temporary distance learning system that had value for the students, fulfilment for the teachers and was results driven not just time-filler and distraction. It was a big job however I knew I could do it & more importantly had to do it for the benefit of all, not least, myself.
Tumblr media
Prior to March 2020 I would never have considered integrating, hosting or attending any type of Online/Distance learning as I personally could not see the significance yet it has now become so normal and part of every day life that I have personally learned to embrace & value.
Everything really can change in a New York Minute!
