Kia ora, hello! You can call me Orion, Ori, or Thornedigger. I'm a non-binary transmasc digital artist and writer from Aotearoa, New Zealand. I specialise in stylised character art, casual comic strips, and dabble in background art now and again.

Rowan Birch, a rising detective, has been assigned to a homicide case, the first recorded brutal murder in all of the recorded history of Myrefall.

Elyn was found hanging from a tree in the middle of town.

Her best friend, acting superstar Melory, has been receiving the death threats she left New York to escape.

Her boyfriend is in town though he's supposed to be half way across the world.

Her mother's sudden death years ago is bringing to light secrets that should have been buried.

The bed and breakfast's seventy year old owner is housing criminals.

Rowan is running out of time, and it seems he has more than one case of death to uncover, and more to prevent.

A my hero academia themed DnD campaign sounds amazing!! I am very excited to hear about this :O I just started playing

So after so long, I've finally thought to finish writing this. Or re-writing this, rather. I am sorry for the delay!! ^^''

(Please note that I kind of just go by my own rules rather than the normal D&D rules. Also the MHA characters are aged up slightly due to the ages my players chose for their characters. That being said, by players get to pick at least 3 powers with a shared additional one)

Well, for one we just kind of go where our brains go with this

Okay so the game actually doesn't start at MHA

it actually starts in this area called Myrefalls, which is a dimension that links other worlds together by doors made of reflective clear glass

magic portals basically

I just imagine Myrefalls to be a small yet beautiful ancient city

People reside there to learn and defend the doors should anything get in

That being said, two of my players (and my dm pc) are from there

they were born and raised in Myrefalls with magical abilities that will one day help the city

and during a walk, three of them (Kota, Zafirah & Athena) stumble upon a random & mysterious magic circle

and the more they stare at it, the moor it draws in their curiosity

and alas, they are transported from their home to where MHA takes place; Musutafu, Japan. .

not only that but in the middle of a city street that is under attack by some monster, or by the locals, "a villain"

and with being trained, the three leap into action

honestly those around them, heroes & citizens alike are too stunned by these three dropped outta nowhere from a portal to anything

well except All Might

he comes in to congratulate them but also ask where they came from (he knows that they are definately not from there)

and eventually the three of them end up meeting All Might on a few more occasions

he learns that they've never been to this place before nor they any money or a place to stay

so he offers to fund their housing & the like but only if they apply at the school called UA

and that housing area is right next-door to the Midoriya household

and naturally the three go to meet their neighbor who is really shy around them

he also goes over to their home soon after to meet with All Might, but faints when he sees one of them turn into a cat

by this point, they know his secret because one of them rolled persuasion

they don't understand why it's such a big deal but they agree to keep it

it's also a little odd to mention that all three girls have a different opinion of All Might. One thinks he's really cool (Athena), one thinks he's nice but he's tall so he's scary (Kota, the cat girl) and one finds him highly suspicious and doesn't trust him at all (Zafirah)

with knowing Izuku's secret, All Might rushes the three of them to go to the entrance Exam for UA

based on their rolls, all three of them do pretty good

and once they see how bad a state Izuku is in after saving Uraraka, Athena, who has plant/vine powers, rolls him up in a flowerbed-like rug and drags him back home

Moving forward a bit, these are some other things that happen in my D&D session:

the girls learn that they can essentially borrow abilities but they keep them

they have no explanation for this, and the players have chosen not to learn more

Cue all three flirting with Aizawa as soon as they see him

this means that when Shigaraki touched and messed up Athena's shoulder, he allowed her access to his power

Kota has bitten Kitkat (Katsuki) and survived

Athena keeps fighting Kitkat yet she's in love with him (won't admit it)

she also asks Todo (Todoroki) to go places with her, because she's in love with him too

but Zafirah also kinda likes him

Zafirah has kissed Dabi

enter in our third player (not including my dm pc) and only male player, Hiro, who has possessed enough of the main cast in just his first day at UA after his transfer

he and Athena seem to fight a lot

he has challenge Kitkat to a duel and has won (based on rolls)

he is in love with Athena and wants to knock out the competition

The team are tasked with a secret mission with Hawks

While Hawks collects them from their shared home, Dabi is waiting inside the house

Dabi convinced Athena to agree to their team to join the League of Villains because they'd be useful and this is kind of entertaining

Dabi keeps trailing Athena to bug her

after Toga and Twice kidnap the neko girl, Kota, the team force Dabi to take them to their lair (rolled persuasion and convinced him)

at the hideout, they find out that Shigaraki had completely destroyed Kota's eyesight, leaving her eyes, or at least where they were, permanently messed up

So Todoroki for some reason works at a strip/dance club (obviously, he's Icythot on Thursdays) and even got Hiro a job there

Izuku may or may not be become Villain-Deku

Kota dates Kiri but ultimately the current Deku is working to change that

A little bit about my players :

Athena

she's also kind of a hoe if I'm honest

she likes wrapping people up in her flower beds

honestly they look like a smoke wrapped up like that

well she does have the power to control any and all plants after all

she's done with the world 98.5% of the time

honestly she's tryna rival Midnight in being the Rated-R hero with how her hero costume is

Kota (DM PC)

tiny cat girl

only loves Kirishima / Deku

can transform into a white cat with ginger spots

she is currently blind and has to navigate her way around

she has a teddy bear that can turn into a scythe

she has a bubble shield that she uses to protect people

Zafirah

A fairy

sleeps in a drawer

will fight anybody if they dare to hurt her friends

she's often sus of strangers

she's strategic in the way she fights

other than the borrowing power she shares with the others, she has fire hands. So she care burn whatever she touches (although she can choose)

she fights with knives

Hiro

He's a bit arrogant

Hiro is a typical ladies man

he actually is a pretty good guy once you get to know him

he's very protective of his friends

he actually wants to find out if there is a way to reverse what happened to Kota

Athena may be a hoe, but Hiro is her hoe equal

he possesses people to take/borrow their powers

while the others can borrow powers only, he can choose whether to permanently take them or to take them for a limited time

Magick Source(s): Many underwater plants are natural Magick sources: Billow, Twilight Sunflower, Tel, Myard, and Twisted Wintercress.

Billow: Billow is a coral-type flora that grows predominantly in the Gracedwell Reef. Billow is often added to salads and other plant-based dishes.

Twilight Sunflower: Twilight Sunflower is a small flowering plant. It is often turned into teas. Twilight Sunflower Tea is often used as a soothing agent for sore throats and can also help lessen fevers in young children.

Tel: Tel is a fast-growing moss that often washes up on pebbles on the Desterted Shores. Tel is often used as a side dish due to being high in nutrients. Due to its ability to photosynthesize quickly, Tel grows incredibly fast which makes it a reliable source of food.

Myard: Myard is a flowering bush plant that doesn't require dirt for its roots to take hold. Myard flowers are often used in teas and salads, the leaves and roots are used as seasonings.

Twisted Wintercress: Twisted Wintercress is a kelp-like plant that is often the main ingredient in most salads. Wintercress often has a slightly sweet taste and the leaves are incredibly thin.

Lucky She.

Lore had made it around the square, bumping into two girls. The two girls looked to be eighteen at the most. Lore didn’t trust them, because she didn’t know what they could do. One sister played innocent, while the other one didn’t. She was following her gut, and normally her gut is right. She decided to go along with what the sisters were doing and stumbled upon their plan. The girls kidnap all of the citizens and started shipping them to Myrefall as slaves. Lore follows along and defends the sisters. Instead of just ending them, she ended up banishing them to another realm.

Date: April 2nd Location: Myrefall Time: Afternoon Status: Open

Jax had taken on a few different forms throughout his life, but none of them had risks before, so this new form was unique in that way. He picked a bit at the right tusk he now had. It was broken off, and he hadn’t come up with a story behind how it happened yet. He should probably do that at some point soon. Until then, he could come up with bullshit ways to work around it, without giving too many details. Currently, Jax was sitting alone against the back wall of a dive bar. He wasn’t talking to anyone. Just watching. It was much more interesting, especially in a new form like this. Most of his other forms were all human, or at least human-seeming. Haven was the only persona he’d had so far that was clearly not human, with her lithe elven frame. But being an elf was one thing. People tended to like elves, or at least be friendly and polite towards them. Half-orcs, though, they were different. It would be interesting to see how people would react to him differently.

He felt a presence approach the table where he currently sat. He spoke towards the one who had walked over without looking over, and the corner of his lips curled up into a smirk. “Seat’s available,” he said. Jax hadn’t heard the origin of this face speak, so he tried to go with a voice that fit well. Low and rumbling up from deep within his chest. “Go on and take a seat, if you’d like.”

Hmm. I'm going to choose my WIP, "Under the maple tree", a murder mystery. Imma just pick the first seven lines of the book XD

Rowan took in a deep breath. The fresh air and fragrance of pine trees was pleasant, but he already missed the salty polluted smell of the air back home. “Detective Birch!” A stout man with a stouter moustache stepped off the front steps of the tiny police station to come shake his hand. “Officer Ranch, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” he said eagerly. “Though I do wish it were under better circumstances.” “Indeed, Officer,” Birch smiled grimly. “Myrefall would have been a lovely holiday away from work, had I not been here for - well, work.” Ranch lead him into the single room that was the law enforcement abode of the tiny town. Three rickety chairs, a desk under the ceiling fan, and the far wall lined with file cabinets - the sight didn’t inspire any confidence, but Rowan gracefully took a seat and tried not to miss his cushioned office chair back in Wilmington.

Time: Around three in the afternoon Location: Thalra’s home in Myrefall Status: @eamon-keppel​

After Thalra and Nil had left Arx and the smoke rising up in the sky on the edge of the horizon as fast as possible, they’d come back home to Myrefall and hadn’t left for much since except for the occasional day-trip to Khaggon. Thalra felt less comfortable leaving Nil alone now more than ever. This would be an ideal time for the Order to strike, when he was wounded and they were both rattled by being so close to battle. Thalra had been spending most of her days suffering increasingly frequent headaches and doting on her brother to the point she thought she’d drive them both insane. The monotony was starting to get to her, the days blending together like swirls of color.

Then, one day, words that weren’t her own filtered through her mind. Eamon, sending a message, asking to come by. Probably to check up on her after their brief meeting in Arx. The thought alone made Thalra tense where she stood in her kitchen, preparing lunch. Did she even want to see anyone right now? Could she trust herself not to snap? After a moment, she put the knife she’d been chopping onions with down and replied with an affirmative, and that she’d put on some tea for him. Eamon had always been a calming, stable figure, and Thalra was quickly running out of people like that in her life.

When the knock on her door came a few hours later, Thalra had changed from the usual casual attire she wore when she was alone or with Nil at home into something more presentable to the public, her hair tied back and away from her face. Nil was upstairs resting, and Thalra hoped he would remain in his trance for long enough that he wouldn’t even know they had company.

“Eamon,” she greeted as she opened the door. “Hello, darling. It’s so good to see you’ve made it back here to me all in one piece. Come in, please.”

It had been a bit of a long day on top of a long week of travelling to get to the afflicted city. Sitting down heavily at a table, all Jakoby wanted to do was have some ale and relax for a little while. In the city’s current state, it was a bit difficult to do so. But he came here to help. He’d been at the Crossroads when the chaos had started, and after sending word back home, he set out for Myrefall right away. His drink sitting on the table, he sighed and ran his hand through Rae’s fur absently as she sat at his feet. When he’d arrived at this inn the day before, the innkeeper had looked warily at the panther, but the man allowed her to stay in the room with Jakoby with the assurance that he would cover any damages that might come about because of her. He tiredly rubbed his eyes for a moment and was about to reach for his mug of ale, but when he opened his eyes, he suddenly saw that the mug was floating in the air in front of him.

Quickly, he grabbed it and brought it back down to the table. He glanced up, but the person tending bar didn’t seem to notice. Or, if they had, they didn’t bother to say anything. It probably wasn’t the craziest thing to have happened over the past week since this started. But it was enough to bother Jakoby. It was the third time this had happened to him today, and it was making him more and more anxious. He barely used his telekinetic ability as it was, but the wild magic so prevalent in the air was making it hard to keep a good handle on it.

Time: Mid-Morning. Date: December 28th.  Location: Myrefall.  Status: CLOSED. @leobelgrave​

Zym rarely felt the need to follow people she was not being paid to follow, and it was rarer still for her to be unable to place the face with a name or a specific job, but the human had caught her gaze and for the life of her she couldn’t remember why. So, logically, she followed them through the gently bustling crowd of Myrefall. Restaurants loomed throughout the street and once the lunch rush began the walkways would become flooded and stifling. Finally, after much darting and some minor shoving, she found herself stepping in front of her quarry and blocking their path. It took a long moment of wide-eyed staring before she snapped her fingers. 

“You!” she squealed. “I knew I recognized you from somewhere!” she exclaimed, bouncing in place in her triumph. “What are you doing here. I kinda always pictured you forever stationary behind a shop counter to be totally honest with you.” She shrugged and brushed errant strands of hair from her eyes. “People always say they think their teachers live at the school, you know, but it always felt like that with shopkeepers.”
