I am running a free community event on dog behaviour and communication for my rural town - just a small session showing various ways dogs express themselves, help identify actual aggression, discomfort, etc.

I would like to run a slideshow showing some of the expressions - for example, grimaces, whale eye, tense mouths and eyes, relaxed facial expressions and anything of that nature.

If you have any photos or could take some of your dogs expressing themselves, I would be super grateful if you'd send them through - this event will not be recorded or published, the images will be used in a powerpoint presentation and not provided to any members of the public.

I intend on staking out the local vet to get some shots, and of course I have tons of my own - but as we all know, various breeds display things in ways that look very different! a hard stare on my toy poodle is going to be a bit scarier and obvious on a doberman or staffy, and a loose happy face will be easier to spot on a bordercollie versus a bulldog!

i'd like a decent variety so i can show how obvious signs of frustration and aggression can be ignored in some breeds - and why a perfectly happy relaxed dog is assumed to be aggressive based on common misconceptions.

okay so. König in love or any thoughts rlly i need to crawl into your brain and live there. ;v; you have made me love him 10x more

i can’t decide on whether or not he would be very passive or very aggressive when in the pursuit of someone (let’s be honest with ourselves: there is no inbetween)!

in situations where you’re perhaps working together, it must kick in some sort of urgency. you’re toying with your gun, missing cues, a bit too flighty… as if it isn’t life or death here. his approach is certainly more aggressive, then: you have to be kept safe and away from all of the horrible filth in the world. a battlefield is no place for a princess, and the thought of you getting hurt or worse before you’re able to have a bunch of cute kids or live out on that vast expanse of land with the cozy cabin he’s promised you is horrifying for him.

you don’t get much of an option here. he isn’t retiring his weapons any time soon, but you must. he’s losing sleep, lashing out at any other operator who comes a hair too close. he’s heard rumors of women who sleep around the barracks and those men ogling you must have those things in mind for you. he wouldn’t allow that. he’s seen men come back from torture and he won’t allow that, either. a proposal is rushed, but it’s sincere. he’ll take you on all the nice dates you didn’t get to share prior when he’s on leave. just stay home, send him letters, call him often, and you’ll get the world and then some.

König is only passive when he’s out of his element. meeting an angel on earth in some rundown shop where he’s unprepared and feeling utterly naked without a knife or a big gun on his person is harrowing. he thinks back on those times from high school: the faked confessions, his first kiss only stolen away out of pity rather than love. he has no fucking idea how to approach a woman that he will likely never see again. so, he just doesn’t.

the beast at the corner of the shop flicking through packages of subpar snacks only offers a few subtle glances your way, silently praying you don’t detect the way he openly stares when your back is turned. he follows at a distance, innocuously pretending he’s also interested in the flour down the baking aisle you’re on. he can bake, sure, would happily spend hours in his lonely kitchen preparing you strudel or something more to your liking if you asked, but what’s the point of doing any of that for himself?

if, for some reason he can’t quite comprehend, you decide to approach him… batting your eyelashes and pointing up at something on the top shelf, requesting his assistance, he might try to shove back the thought that you’re only being kind because you need something. he’ll make small talk while passing you the package of semisweet chocolate chips, huff something akin to a laugh when you make a quip about how quiet this store is when it’s your favorite. the flirtations come naturally for you, saying that you wished he could give you an inch or two (as to not heckle anyone taller for help in the future), and damn his loose tongue because he’s quick to respond then. telling you he could give you nine, actually.

silly relationship thoughts…?

he definitely falls into the realm of men that send you the most cringy “couple goals” videos. you know the ones that are like “five reasons your man is not cheating!” followed by a slideshow of a home cooked meal, a soft looking bed, a photo of a couple holding hands and all giddy smiles, a nice clean home, then… a picture of a woman in some cute lacy lingerie. has the worst grin on his face when your expression sours, but he promises to scour the internet until he finds something lovely and strappy for you to wear for him.

sleepy König is a menace!! he snores. loudly. sometimes talks absolute nonsense. it’s impossible to push him away because he’s so big and it’s all dead weight when he’s knocked out. if you’re trying to wriggle out of bed because the birds are chirping outside and the sunlight is peeking at you through the curtains, his grip around you only tightens. he likes to hold your hand while you’re sleeping, too. even when his get a bit clammy. it’s cute until you desperately long for a shower and he still won’t wake up.

his significant other is the perfect comfort to him. even when things are bad: an argument or an entire ocean between you two. your voice whether infuriated or in love, the smell of your perfume or even your sweat, the feeling of your soft skin or the bite of your teeth, your taste whether from your mouth or skin, the view of you’re messy bedhead or dressed to utter perfection. all of you is a comfort. he isn’t just a lover, he’s a horribly obsessed devotee in every way. logs in some mental list what perfume you wear on what day, how you choose to dress depending on what you’re doing, mundane things like how you wring your hands after washing them or just how you position yourself when standing or sitting. every detail has its importance, and he wants to memorize everything about you for those long nights when he’s deployed and you can’t be there with him.

he knows what a meme is, yes, he isn’t that old, but his sense of humor more aligns with whatever is dark or perverse and historical jokes (those “me if i were in medieval Europe” videos might make him grin). if you’re sent one and it goes over your head, he’s happy to explain to you the time period, what role you and he might play in such a scenario, all in so much detail you wonder if he’s actually some sort of genius. only… he would casually tell you he wouldn’t mind going down on you even if you were some maiden from a time long past that hadn’t bathed in weeks.

probably likes to mark you up a bit when he knows he’ll be away for a while. bite marks on your inner thighs, a necklace of hickies on your neck and along your clavicle. it’s embarrassing, trying to explain why you’re wearing a scarf or a thick choker in the middle of the warmer months. he doesn’t do it out of fear that you’ll run off to another (though, maybe that is part of it), but ultimately so you won’t forget. not about the way he made you feel, about the little whines that left your mouth or the way you gripped at his hair, who you belong to just as much as he belongs to you.

Speaking of said dad, he went on a lil mini 10 day holiday across the country to Perth to sight see nature and go on a boat ride to see some Orcas (he's retired, it's his way of getting out the house and not turning into an old man potato, and comes back with hundreds of photos of landscapes, plants and flowers and points of historical interests to show my Mum and I, with cool facts and stories in a slideshow~)

Unfortunately i was still sick at the time and didn't get the chance to join my mum in dropping him off at the airport, let alone the chance to give him a big 'ol hug before he left- so I drew him this 💖

#fun fact I actually have mild OCD when it comes to hugs especially with family members #sometimes they have to deal with me hugging them many times over until its right #and if I don't hug them before they leave I get anxious as hell #it used to be to the point of panic attacks- my brain would tell me because I didn't hug them they will die before I see them again #and they would never know how much I love them #Family gatherings are a hug fest- my family and their partners know the moment I bust through the door I must run the circuit #everyone gets hugged and neither of us have a choice in the matter #at least it's hugs and not something else like turning on and off the lights a number or times or closing and opening doors or some such #sure hug OCD sounds nice but when it's been like 5 minutes and 15 hugs it's not fun for either party-it's better these days but it took wor #or running out the door to your sisters car because the hug wasn't right and they're about to drive off and if I don't catch them in time- #-I'd cry for hours feeling dread and anxiety down to my bones until i end up sick and in bed- that's not so nice #the brains a bitch

Hyungwon loves to cuddle on his lazy days. He would spend the whole day laying in bed, refusing to let me go. "We should stay like this all day," he would say, his voice muffled by your chest. He would wrap his arms tightly around you, and you could feel his breath on your neck. You didn't mind, you loved cuddling with Hyungwon too. It was so nice to just relax and not have to do anything. Sometimes, you would have to get up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat. But every time you did, Hyungwon would whine and complain.

You've been a fan of Hyungwon for years, so you're thrilled when you have the opportunity to take his photo. He's one of those models who always looks good in every photo, no matter what the pose or the lighting. You know that you have to do your best to capture his natural beauty and charisma. You want to take photos that will make him look even more amazing than he already does. You take hundreds of photos that day. But when you're finished, you know that you've captured something special. The photos are beautiful, and they really capture Hyungwon's personality.

Hyungwon can be a handful sometimes. He'll run around with a huge grin on his face, telling you dad jokes and laughing at his own punchlines. It can be hard to keep up with him, and sometimes you just need to calm him down. But don't worry, he'll usually stop once his battery gets low. He's just a high-energy person, and he needs to burn off some steam.

You didn't know that his lockscreen was your pictures until one day you randomly grabbed his phone to see what time it was. You were surprised to see a slideshow of your photos, all of you smiling and laughing together. You couldn't help but smile yourself. It was so sweet of him to make your pictures his lockscreen. You felt so loved and appreciated. You decided to tease him about it all day. You would randomly grab his phone and look at the lockscreen, then you would wink at him and say, "I see you've been thinking about me." He would blush and try to hide his phone from you, but you were relentless. You teased him until he finally gave in and gave you a kiss.

And he ended up showing you all your photos on his phone, you didn't even know when he took them. You were surprised to see so many photos of you. There were photos of you laughing, of you sleeping, of you just being yourself. He told you that he took the photos because he loved looking at you. He said that you were the most beautiful person he had ever seen, and he wanted to capture your beauty in every way he could. You were flattered and touched. You had never thought of yourself as beautiful, but seeing all these photos of you made you realize that you were. You spent the rest of the day looking at the photos. You laughed at the silly ones, and you smiled at the sweet ones. You were so happy that he had taken these photos of you. It was a reminder of how much he loved you, and how much he cherished your relationship.

Hyungwon loved helping you with your clothes. He always had a keen eye for fashion, and he loved seeing you look your best. He would often help you pick out outfits, and he would always give you his honest opinion. He was never afraid to tell you if something didn't look good on you, but he always did it in a way that was respectful and helpful. Thanks to Hyungwon, you always looked your best when you went out. He knew how to flatter your figure, and he always made sure that you felt confident and beautiful. One day, you were getting ready to go out, and you were feeling a little self-conscious about your outfit. You asked Hyungwon if he thought it looked okay, and he smiled and said, "Honestly, you always look beautiful, so don't worry about anything." He told you that he loved the way you looked in whatever you wore, and that he thought you were the most beautiful human in the world.

Boyfriend Hyungwon is always there to remind you that he loves you. He tells you every day how much you mean to him, and how lucky he is to have you in his life. He always makes sure that you know that you deserve to be loved and cherished. He tells you that you are the most beautiful, intelligent, and kind-hearted person he knows. He also takes care of you in every way. He makes sure that you are always happy and comfortable. He does things like cook you dinner, give you massages, and run errands for you. He is also very romantic. He loves to surprise you with flowers, gifts, and thoughtful gestures. He always knows how to make you feel special.

I would have a different opinion if they seemed happy or comfortable around each other, but to me, they don't. I can't imagine my boyfriend or somebody who is happier than ever with me acting like this, and we all can see that this is not his body language, not just around people he's been in love with but around people he just simply likes. //

But no one in the public has seen enough of his body language around her to judge. The videos that have been shared publicly are:

- The two pap walk clips; the official one where they’re outside the church that Page Six included in their article and the accidental fan video of the awkward handholding walk through the park

- The scare compilation video where each clip is a couple of seconds long and he’s literally doubled over on the floor laughing in one of them

- The chin video where he was very happy to have her lying on him in the couch and covering half her face with his hand to create the illusion of the face on her chin

- The brief interaction at the Ghosted premiere where she’s laughing with him

There’s also the Mario Bros video where you can’t really see him but you can hear him laughing and the Powerpoint Presentation slideshow, but there was no video in that.

If you’re judging through the videos listed above alone and the slideshow photos that isn’t really enough content to gain a genuine picture of his body language or what their relationship is like or how comfortable he feels around her. Is it really fair or sensible to judge their whole 1-3 years of knowing each other/dating/relationship and his feelings about it on content that amounts to less than 5 minutes in total?

You would need to actually know them or have reliable, trustworthy sources to have any real insight to that information. Many actual language experts will say it’s difficult to accurately tell someone’s body language from a still image because it’s literally a split second in time and it’s harder to get a sense of the actual context. Remember how a lot of people were saying he looked so happy and excited in the Four Seasons Portugal Hotel video that he made for the teacher? And then the context was revealed that he was 99.99% only there in the first place because he was visiting her? Yeah.

I respect that you have your opinion and I’m not trying to change your mind. I’m just offering another perspective. Mind you, I definitely feel like his energy has been off for a long time now but I objectively don’t know enough about the man or the situation, nor am I in his circle to be able to form a meaningful opinion to say that it’s because of her or their (I guess you would say “alleged” 😭) relationship.

To me, that NYC pap walk seemed incredible awkward. The way they were standing and walking next to each other (I'm talking about the staircase video and picture) seemed unnatural, like they were forced to be there. To me, the fact that he was holding her hands when he knew they were being photographed and when he didn't know they were being recorded (I'm talking about the video that the girl uploaded to Twitter), he wasn't holding her hands and didn't even pay attention to her, and when she saw that they were being recorded, she tried to grab his, but he didn't want that, shows that it was for the show. I know a lot of people say it was because of the pap walk, because they were in NYC, and because they knew what was coming next. Nobody asked them to make their relationship public by parading in Central Park, because I think we can all agree that that wasn't a natural sighting. They could've posted a few stories indicating they are at the same place; they could've posted a picture where they are together (getting one from the photo dump); or anything that would've indicated that they are in a relationship. But they wanted them to do that on the day her show premiered. For the show.

I don't think dropping on the floor was a natural reaction from him. We saw him getting scared by Scott, and he's never done that. During those videos, he either overacted (dropping, stamping) or didn't react at all (when he just walked away from her in his MA home). I don't think those were genuine reactions.

The chin video was too much for me. Trying too hard, same with the Mario Cart video; her acting was good in that one. It's not like it was any better in the scare videos; her fake phone dropping and her fake reactions weren't any better. Two actors, and they can't sell a relationship.

In the Ghosted premiere video, she was the only one laughing and smiling. Chris wasn't facing the camera, and Megan had a mask on, so nobody can tell for sure if they were smiling or not. To me, it didn't seem like they were.

Just because he was smiling on the teacher's video doesn't mean he was happy. He can fake a smile for a few seconds, especially if it's for something work-related or good cause-related. I'd also like to mention that you can see in those photos and videos, which they most probably took in the earlier stages, that it looked like he was trying a bit harder or more.

I'm also not trying to change your opinion, I just wrote down my takes on these things. Thanks for being respectful! ❤️

I think we've seen enough, or, should I say, even more than we wanted, or that we did of his previous relationships. You can see him acting way differently with those women, whom he was surely together with. I'm not saying we can tell everything for 100% sure about their relationship based on what we've seen, but to me, they seem unnatural and uncomfortable around each other; they don't seem like two people who are extremely in love with each other and happy together.

The Vignellis’ archives is full of examples of photography. They partnered with photographers again and again in their designs for the artwork in posters, catalogs, and numerous monographs on nature, culture, and even photography itself. Vignelli Associates created graphic identities for photographers and photography exhibitions. We’ll display marketing photographs alongside their actual design artifacts and see for yourself how their thoughtful use of images showcased their designs. The archives contain numerous examples of photo formats from vintage Polaroids to digital images. In some cases, photography is all that survives as record of a design. Join us in highlighting the importance of photography and the Vignellis.

We will have a vintage slide projector straight from the Vignelli Associates office up and running! Stop by and see original slideshows assembled by the Vignellis’ themselves!

As always, our galleries are open to the public and feature the greatest hits of the design work of Massimo and Lella Vignelli. But for the Open Houses, our archivist will be digging deep into the archives to show you one-of-a-kind original sketches and other artifacts of the Vignelli design process. You can see the designs that you know and love, but expect many surprises even if you are a Vignelli “superfan!” Please drop in and stay for a few minutes or stay for hours.

Akuma Park - Gingers

(On this school day, the students in Ms Bustier’s class are giving presentations on a topic of their choice. The class is nearly finished, with only one speaker remaining.)

Miss Bustier. Ok, Chloe, you’re the last speaker for today.

(Chloe marches up to the spot in front of the blackboard.)

Chloe: Thank you, Miss Bustier. My speech is about ginger kids. Children with light skin, red hair, and freckles.

(Nathaniel, Sabrina and Alix look towards each other in confusion and a little concern.)

Chloe: We’ve all seen them. In the lunchroom, at the store, walking on the streets of Paris. They creep us out, and make us feel sick to our stomachs. I’m talking of course, about ginger kids.

(The three kids frown as Chloe presses a button on her remote, starting a slideshow showing various pictures of ginger kids in the school. The first picture is of Nathaniel.)

Chloe: Aw, sick!

(Nathaniel resists the urge to flip her off.)

(She changes to a picture of Sabrina.)

Chloe: Gross!

Marinette: Chloe, what is the point of this?

Chloe: Marinette, be quiet, I am doing my presentation.

(Marinette just groans as Chloe continues.)

Chloe: Ginger kids are born with a disease, which causes very light skin and freckles.

(She changes to a picture of Ondine.)

Chloe: Ew! Nasty! Yuck! This disease is called gingervitus, and it occurs because ginger kids have no souls.

Nathaniel: ... What?!

Chloe: Kids who have gingervitus cannot be cured.

(She cuts to a picture of Simon.)

Chloe: Aw sick! Gross! Because ginger kids have incredibly light skin, they must avoid the sun, not unlike...

(She changes to a picture of Dracula.)

Chloe: Vampires.

(The class looks intrigued.)

Juleka: *muffled* Cool.

Alix: Hey, that’s not true! I have red hair, and I don’t have to avoid the sun!

Chloe: I was getting to that if you would let me. Some people have red hair but not light skin or freckles. These people are called “daywalkers”.

(She shows a picture of Alix, with the word “daywalker” underneath it.)

Rose: Ooh! Daywalkers!

Nathaniel: This is bullshit!

Chloe: Miss Bustier, I’m really having a difficult time with all these interruptions.

Miss Bustier: Nathaniel, let Chloe give her presentation.

Nathaniel: It’s not a presentation, it’s hate-speech! People aren’t creeped out by gingers!

Adrien: I am... a little bit.

Marinette: Adrien!

Adrien: What?! I’m a blondie! It’s only natural that redheads are our rivals!

Miss Bustier: Nathaniel, if you or any of the other ginger kids want to debate Chloe tomorrow, you can do so with a paper.

Alix: Fine, we will!

Chloe: Fine! In the meantime, shut your goddamn daywalker mouth, Alix!

Alix: GRRRGGHH!

Chloe: Now let’s see, where was I? Oh yes! Like vampires, the ginger gene is a curse, and unless we work to rid the Earth of that curse, the gingers could envelop our lives in blackness for all time. It is time that we all admit to ourselves that gingers are vile and disgusting. In conclusion, I will leave you with this. If you think that the ginger problem is not a serious one...

(She shows a picture of a yearbook photo from Miss Buster as a highschooler, causing the teacher to blush in embarassment.)

Chloe: Think again.

“Please, Poe?” You sit at your tiny kitchen table, pleading for your best friend to pretend to be your boyfriend.

“I-just… why?” He sits confused, for once not trying to tease you but instead beyond confused as to what you’re asking him to do.

“Because my grandma loves you! And she’s only here for a few days and I never get to see her and it would make her so happy if she thought we were dating!”

You and Poe had grown up together, best friends since the day you were born. You’d spent your childhood running around the neighborhood, climbing trees and drawing chalk figures along your driveway. Poe’s been by your side for you entire life, even now, years later and miles away from where it all started.

Your grandma, the sweet old woman that she is, had always wanted you and Poe to get together.

“Think of how easy the wedding slideshow would be!” She’d exclaim, flipping through photo albums from when you and Poe were in elementary school. Sure, she was mostly teasing just to see how flustered the two of you would get, but deep down, she thought the two of you would be perfect together.

With her age and the distance, you’re rarely able to spend time with your grandma, so when she does come to visit, you always try your hardest to make it the perfect trip for her.

And this year, that includes getting Poe to pose as your boyfriend for the few days she’s staying with you.

“Alright, alright, fine,” he says, holding his hands up in supplication, “but I’m doing this for your grandma, not you. You owe me big time.”

“Thank you!” You fly from your seat, rushing around the table to crush him in a hug, “You’re a lifesaver, Poe Dameron.”

The two of you get to work on constructing a believable story on how you got together, even bringing his dog Bee over to your apartment to make it more realistic. Your grandma would be staying in a hotel, due to your limited extra space, so Poe and Bee would return back to his place whenever she returned to her hotel room.

You’re amazed at how natural it all feels, pretending to be dating Poe. Really, the two of you act like you always do, but you’re just a bit more touchy, a bit more soft with each other. There’s a tiny little part of your brain that thinks ‘this is nice’ and ‘maybe it could always be like this’. You do your best to ignore that part.

The week goes by smoothly, and soon you’re helping your grandma with her luggage as her ride to the airport waits downstairs.

“The two of you just look so happy together,” she tells you, sitting at the bench by your door to put her shoes on, “I’d always known you’d end up together.”

You’re trying not to look too wistfully at Poe, who’s standing in your living room as Bee runs circles around his feet. You’re hit with a pain in your chest at the realization that your little scheme is coming to an end. You’re going to miss spending that time with him, being that close to him for most of the day.

“If only you’d tell each other how you really feel.” Your attention snaps back to your grandma, who just sends you a wink.

You help her downstairs, and spend the rest of the day thinking about what she said. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll follow her advice.

It doesn’t feel like a very spiritual world. Can’t sleep one night, since the blue light burned its way to the back of my brain while I was writing a dozen cover letters for a dozen entry-level job applications that will be thrown away by an algorithm before a human being ever sees them. Passing by the homeless man and his dog on the street, reaching for my pleather wallet, realizing I have no coins or bills to drop in his McDonald’s cup because my phone pays the subway fare. Can’t sleep the next night: took my Vyvanse too late. A new coffee shop opens up, it has a self-referentially generic name and a bevy of venture capital firms behind its real estate acquisition. The old coffee shop that used to be there had orange walls and an old leather chair that I mindlessly scratched my initials into while I was supposed to be reading some book to impress someone, or the internet, or myself. I can’t remember. Sometimes I feel more like a board-game piece (yellow was always my favorite) than a person. But there are ghosts in the machinery of this lithium-ion life. Sometimes white and wispy, sometimes red and bleeding. They are summoned by the “Suggested Memories” of the photos app, an “On this day…” from a social media app, a stray birthday reminder respirated from the dying gasp of Facebook. They feel different, somehow, from the reminders of former friends and lovers that live in shared summer songs played over drugstore speakers, or the stolen and stale-smelling t-shirt in the back of the closet. Maybe it’s the ulterior motive of memory, a company trying to find a way to squeeze one more post out of you, one more hour to obsessively check likes and engagement and passively scroll by more ads in the process. Maybe it’s the strange and plasticine way these algorithms sort life into boxes: days at the beach, Summer 2016, photos of cats. I suppose the uncanniness of this sorting would be preferable to my phone being able to detect the real and rhizomatic nature of memory, generating slideshows behind license-free jingles with titles like “nights when I missed my dead dog” or “pasta dishes I pretended I wasn’t scared of eating.” The live grenade of pain and discomfort embedded in camera roll photos and social media posts is not detonated by the surprise of its suggestion, but by the callous and transactional reason for which they are suggested.

He bought 18,355 followers on his birthday yesterday and we all thought it was meant to pad for a ab post coming. But then today's numbers came in and he bought 23,614 followers.

His normal daily buys are 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, depending on the algorithm buy method however it is has going to make look natural.

He's only ever bought big numbers like this days before the Scare dump and the Vday silent cringe slideshow. So the big buys are usually signal for something is coming, leading up to a mess his team know will happen. In January, two days leading up to the scare comps, he bought 54,801 followers and the next 19,301. After having his normal single digit thousand follower buys for weeks before. So it's a sign.

Well everyone thought ab being radio silent on his bday was weird. And then with Chelsea clearing her follows and going private and Scott posting (and deleting before the 24 hr 👀) a story from the 2022 Halloween party, I don't think it's weird ab was silent. I think she and they and everyone involved knew what is coming. Chris making that insta thank you story with his age included and him not liking a single celebrity post wishing him a happy birthday.

And then today, the same Twitter account that got Carlys WDW pictures and abs sisters story photos from Chris' LA home, posted that she had a female source drop anon info that an engagement article is coming. And then Tumblr blogs got anons about it too.

Soooooo yeah. Why can't anything be organic and not sus in this mess? 🤦‍♀️
