Interviewer: so, your new album. Tell me about it

Ashton Irwin: well, as everyone knows he [Luke Hemmings] and I were high school sweethearts. No one thought we’d make it.

He chuckled, shaking his head. The interviewer has to share this humor, it’s silly to believe these men would ever drift apart.

Irwin: so I wrote this entire album based off of our journey. As the songs progress, the journey progresses. I tried to make it so that you [the listener] could hear the growth from a juvenile relationship to a mature one.

Interviewer: and you said Luke helped you write some of these songs?

Irwin: Luke listens to all the songs I write, but yes. In this album, he was sitting in the recording studio. He even wrote some of the songs fully on his own, revealing his own point of view. However, he didn’t actually thing I’d record those.

Interviewer: was he surprised that his songs were on this album?

Irwin: Shocked, surprised, ecstatic. He had given me permission to record them but I never showed him the final product of those songs… it was a gift to see his reaction

Omegaverse Hilson-Johnlock Noneshot

Some day I will write the fic set in an Omegaverse where:

Primary gender is either alpha or omega (no betas). Male and female are the juvenile genders, assigned at birth based on whether your urethra is an outie or an innie. Boys have a slightly higher chance of becoming alphas (55% alpha, 45% omega), and girls have a slightly higher chance of becoming omegas (55% omega, 45% alpha), leading some to speculate that millennia ago primary and juvenile gender might have been the same.

Your primary gender isn't known until you hit the beginning of puberty, when you go into basically a 24-hour to 36-hour coma during which your sex organs sort themselves out. You're not fertile yet, but that's when the externally visible organs form. An omega's first heat typically happens about six months to a year after this. Heats last 24 to 36 hours and usually occur regularly until menopause, but the time between heats varies from person to person, from three months or so to six months. Omegas don't "lose their mind" during heat; it's just really, really uncomfortable if they're not having sex. Heat leave is expected and planned for, for omegas and their partners.

John Watson is the butchest dyke who ever dyked, and across the pond Gregory House is a gold-star gay alpha who's the loudest queer in every room. James Wilson is a bisexual omega, very nice to meet you. Sherlock Holmes wishes everyone would just shut up about sex and gender because it's all just transport. (He's an alpha.)

James and John met when James was an exchange student for a year during sixth form at John's all-omega school in London. They loved talking about becoming doctors some day and were each other's first omfriend, in secret because it was the 80s. James broke John's heart due to a misunderstanding :( but years later they got back in touch.

House and Wilson met same as in canon, as did John and Sherlock. All the romantic relationships they had were the same as in canon, except House's were gay (yep, Stacy, Cuddy, Dominika and the prostitutes were all alphas) and John's were lesbian (except Mary, see below). For Wilson, Sam was an alpha, Bonnie and Julie were omegas, Grace was an omega, and Amber was an alpha.

Canon happens until end of S7 for House (House crashing his car into Cuddy's house) and end of S2 for Sherlock (Reichenbach Fall). Then we go off in new directions.

John does have sex with Mary while Sherlock's "dead" but it's a one-heat stand. Mary's an old mate of John's from the army, an alpha who is very confused about being propositioned because everybody knows (John makes sure everyone knows) that John is most definitely a lesbian. But John has a reason.

The split model of attraction has three splits in this universe: romantic, sexual, and pheromonal.

Pronouns in this universe for cis people are: Ā/al/als for alphas and Ō/om/oms for omegas.

Forgot to mention this is very much Johnlock (in John's mind Sherlock is an "omega who happens to have a knot") and is Hilson QPR.

What do you think is the occupations of your fav MDZS characters in modern AU?

hmmmm well there are just so many options. but for lan wangji and wei wuxian i am gonna go with my tax accountant/tax evader modern au, though i'm also partial to a health inspector/restaurateur au or any au where one or both of them drives a zamboni. i would also like a modern au where they're both physics professors because it allows for the possibility of some kind of time travel sequence, something i can never turn down.

jiang cheng and lan xichen are probably wedding planners, because i have a whole tag about that. they started their company when they were commiserating one day about how wangxian should just get over themselves and admit that they're bonkers for each other, and in a burst of optimism lan xichen named the company Fratrimony, Inc., hoping that their first wedding to plan would be their brothers'. but alas. and now everyone thinks they just do weddings for frat boys.

also what i really want is for everyone who meets jiang cheng to go, "omg, are you a model? you really look like you could be a model" and for him to HATE IT. he actually designs and makes his own clothes, thank you very much, but all anybody ever wants to talk about is his cheekbones 🙄

i'm running out of steam so i'll just do the low-hanging fruit. lan qiren is very obviously a boarding school headmaster (who once longed to be on the stage), wen qing is a doctor, nie mingjue owns a gym. with everybody else i think it has to follow from what wei wuxian and lan wangji do, and as you can see there is a plethora of possibilities.

i’m torn between writing bittersweet fics of marinette healing and learning how to prioritize her mental health alongside her civilian responsibilities and her superhero duty while perhaps the kwami become the saving grace and a metaphorical shoulder for her to lean on. i mean, tikki has her limits in what she knows or what she can say to mari and maybe the other kwami can fulfill what tikki is unable to?

but also diving headfirst into marichat fluff and shenanigans because even though people have made multiple points of kagami and luka being the emotional support mari and adrien need, i feel like there’s an opportunity for marichat to do that but also bring some much needed levity in each other’s lives.

Just saw a post about one shots, then none shots, ideas you have for a fic but fuck writing. I already got like 375 wips dammit (same). But then I remember a post a fan made about them just spewing an idea with some pictures they drew and a summary they wrote, some general ideas of what they think would happen. Some AUs people throw out that others go onboard with. The occasional inspired fic comes out.

So uh, maybe that's alright you got a noneshot. Maybe it's alright that all you have is an idea. Maybe you do wanna write it, and you will at some point. Or maybe you don't. I think it's fine either way. Maybe you can even help pick other fics up when the fic author doesn't feel like writing it anymore (with their permission that is, you never truly know whether they want that or not unless you ask). Heck, maybe seeing what you've done inspires them to write.

Fandom is pretty collaborative as a whole, kinda the whole point of fandom. People engaging with each other out of love for a show or something. So maybe it's alright if all you have is an idea. You can talk about it online, draw a few pics, post a few WIPs, etc. And if you want, others will help pick them up and now suddenly, it's a collaborative fic or whatevs. I think this is how major AUs are born, right?

Depending on what time period I base it on, humanity has either extended into the milky way galaxy, or into most galaxies of the local group.

After colonizing other solar systems, we choose to give our sun of origin an Actual Meaningful name- Helios. Due to linguistic changes, the human government becomes the Halaxian Empire. Halaxian becomes synonymous with 'human', but not all human-inhabited planets or star systems are aligned with the empire. It's just the largest human bureaucratic and military power.

Helios doesn't go on to become the capital of the empire. Instead, we build a dyson sphere around a star, which allows us to maneuver it using the power of its own internal fusion. It's called the Empyrean star system. It's a man-made hypervelocity star, and functions as a dock for the imperial fleet, base of government, and superweapon.

There are alien species called the Valix. You know how humans are evolved from primates? Valix are evolved from underwater insects. They think we're weird as fuck. Also they found space travel before humans did.

Most of the labor used for human colonization is slave labor. It's called the Scipian slave system. The trade is monopolized by a wealthy magnate and their family, and their symbol is the scorpion. Theoretically the only people indentured under the system are androids or Valix, but it's an open secret that humans are not protected from being trafficked, especially any who aren't aligned with the Halaxian empire. It also provides numbers for the lowest ranks of the interstellar military. Most people turn a blind eye to it.

Yeah, so that's the basic lore for my silly haha space universe.
