Just as Suzume was about to leave, she was greeted by the smiling Eiko Kobayashi: the previous owner of Taiyou Bakery! They talked about how she could no longer carry on the business since her husband's passing away. Suzume saw she was trying to hide her despair but she faltered when she said no one was interested in the property. Perhaps this was an opportunity for Suzume to work towards. Surely she wasn't the only one who missed the treats.

Suddenly got a new fanfic idea
In this AU, Cale is still OG!Cale. However, recently just before the canon TBOAH story begins, Cale begins to dream of events from another world (Earth). Initially, he brushes them off as childish dreams but begins to doubt his own dismissal as he learns quite a bit of knowledge from those dreams.
Sometime before Harris Village is attacked, Cale gets drunk (one of the very few times that happened) due to depression over his biological mother's coming death anniversary.
Walking through the mountain trail (being able to get past the gate due to lazy guards), the drunk Cale meets a normal human would have usually never encountered in their lifetime.
A dragon.
However, what's most unusual about the encounter was that the purple dragon, the strongest race in the world, was injured with a strangely shaped sword stabbed in its back.
[To those that don't know, this is based on Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Even a character from there is in this AU.]
The reclusive dragon, Fafnir, had not expected to be attacked in his cave by a group of humans (however, he wasn't even sure if they're truly human since they were able to injure him) with strange powers he had never seen before. At the end of the battle, he did something that the dragons would never ever do due to their pride as the strongest species.
He teleported away.
Fafnir was part of the majority of arrogant dragons that were prideful and loners. But however prideful he may be, Fafnir knows when he is fighting a losing battle and this had been one of them. As much as he desired to destroy them, he did not want to be killed, as he desired to return to nature at the end of his life.
But it may be futile in the end, as they had managed to stab him with that sword just before he teleported. Normally, he would be able to heal from such a small wound, but there was an unknown power (a power that felt similar to the priests he had encountered in the past, so it's possibly a god's power) coming from that sword, quickly draining away his mana, along with the fact that the sword cannot be pulled out.
He had teleported at a clearing on the mountains. This may be the end of him. In the end, it seemed he wouldn't be able to return to nature like he wanted.
Just as he was about to close his draconic eyes, the dragon heard footsteps coming his way. He had immediately realized that it was a human, but a normal, powerless one.
And the red-haired human was clearly drunk, judging from his red face.
What happened next was something not even Fafnir expected.
The human began complaining about dreaming about meeting the injured dragon in front of him and some other nonsense that had nothing to do with the dragon. Fafnir tried to threaten him off (but could not release his Dragon Fear most likely due to the sword) but, to his surprise, the redhead was unfazed and just continued to complain further.
When asked about the sword on his back, Fafnir explained the battle to him. To his surprise, the redhead drunkenly climbs onto his back and yells out to the gods how he didn't want to see or even deal with a corpse of a dragon during his already bad day as he pulls out the sword, presumably due to his lack of faith.
The very confused and shocked dragon soon finds himself drinking with the redhead by the latter's insistence (and Fafnir could not refuse due to the fact that he owed the redhead for saving his life). He learned that the redhead's name is Cale Henituse, the son of the owner of the territory he teleported in.
He also quickly learned that this guy is very talkative while drunk. Fafnir was pretty sure the redhead might not even remember this meeting.
The dragon listened attentively as the human began talking (mostly complaining) about his bitterness towards his stepfamily, his father's neglect and how he had to act like trash because he didn't belong to the current family his father had built.
After all that personal stuff, the human began to talk about something very interesting.
The human began to recount to the dragon about all the dreams he had recently, about a completely different world. The human talks about strange mechanical contraptions that work like a carriage, food he has never heard of before and more. From how detailed it is, Fafnir immediately considers the likely possibly that this may be memories rather than dreams.
Once it was time for Cale to go home, the human offers the dragon to stay at his place.
Fafnir's lair had been destroyed in the battle earlier, he could just make a new lair, but...
This human, a lower and insignificant species, had saved his life.
Fafnir is an arrogant and proud dragon and would refuse to work, much less even be with anyone. However...
He hated being unable to repay debts most of all. Because he didn't like the feeling of owing something to a human, especially when this debt wasn't something small.
Is there anyone else that can honestly say that they had saved a dragon?
That's why when the dragon accepted the offer, the dragon also offered to become his butler.
--------------------------------------------------
Cale's past life is an OC, a half-Korean, half-French.
[I made OC French because I like "Miraculous Ladybug".]
KRS still exists, however, in this AU, he died along with LSH and CJS.
OC is a young boy that was adopted by the Soo Team when his parents died in the Cataclysm. Since he's only a child, he doesn't take part in most of the battles (he still learned self-defense in case of emergencies).
He is intelligent for his age and mostly handles their domestic lifestyle. He becomes a great chef from his desire to give his hyungs actual meals from the food they would find.
OC is also very close to KRS due to their shared desire for a peaceful life, along with KRS's soft spot for children.
After the Soos died, OC is left in the care of Kim Min Ah. Due to his depression, he didn't communicate much with the others of the company except for Kim Min Ah.
At some point, once the monster situation had been stabilized enough to allow overseas travel again, OC went to France to live with his relatives. However, while they treated him fine, he wasn't as close to them as he was with the Soos and Kim Min Ah, whom he regularly calls.
Eventually, OC adopts a bunch of orphans who lost their parents to the monsters, few of them even close to his age.
Later on, he saves a little girl from a monster attack, sacrificing his life in the process. He was only 22-years-old.
--------------------------------------------------
OC is similar to KRS due to their shared desire for a peaceful life. However, unlike KRS, OC is less of a slacker and is quite a bit more active than KRS.
He is also more open in expressing his feelings and honesty. However, due to his upbringing as Cale, he is still an expert in hiding his emotions, a necessity in noble society.
He also has a bit of Gintama-esque humor, making references here and there and would say random things at times.
[Will now refer to OC as Cale]
Since OC is still OG!Cale, he has complicated feelings towards his family. Since getting back his past life memories, he is more accepting of his resentful side towards Deruth for neglecting him. He also still avoids his stepfamily.
While still very much a kind and caring person, he is also just as selfish as KRS, and will not hesitate to loot and scam people.
He is also quite sadistic, taking joy in the misery of his enemies when they are defeated (or looted).
Since Cale feels he doesn't belong in the Henituse Family, he decides to create a source to quickly become rich first before he finally cuts himself off from the family.
By opening up hot spring baths, restaurants, cafes with food from his world, etc.
(He won't make Korean food though, that punk would likely demand answers from him.)
[This is inspired by "Ascendance Of A Bookworm", "Maou-sama, Retry!" and "The Greatest Estate Developer".]

Godzilla Raids Again, 1955
Godzilla returns with a vengeance, and this time he’s not alone.
Tumblr media
With the success of Gorjira, Toho wanted to give new fans more, but how would they after Godzilla was killed? Executive producer Iwao Miri told Tomoyuki Tomaka to start production on another Godzilla movie. Miri wanted a reasonable explanation for a revival of the great monster, and Tomaka went to work immediately.
Ishiro Honda was pegged to direct the movie, but he was working on another film. Tomaka collected the creative team from the first movie to help and a new director, Motoyoshi Oda. After weeks, the creative team finished the screenplay and production started. Here is the magic they created:
Tumblr media
Marine Fisheries KK in Osaka is a successful fish manufacturing company makes fish products. It’s success relies on two pilots searching for pockets of fish in the Pacific Ocean. Shoichi Tsukioka (Hiroshi Koizumi), and Koji Kobayashi (Minoru Chiaki), report their findings to the control operator who is the owner’s daughter, Hidemi Yajima (Setsuko Wakayama). Hidemi and Tsukioka are a couple madly in love.
On a routine flight one day, Kobayashi’s plane has engine problems and he makes an emergency landing on a nearby remote island, Iwato Island. He calls headquarters to report his situation; Hidemi informs Tsukioka who then flies to the island to rescue his friend. Kobayashi is spotted, and Tsukioka lands nearby. Just as they were leaving, strange noises from beyond a cliff caught their attention, so they go and check it out. They’re shocked to find two monsters fighting, one is recognized as Godzilla, but the other one isn’t familiar. The men watch in horror as the battle rages on. The mobsters fight so fiercely that they fall off the cliff and into the ocean. Tsukioka and Kobayashi escape unscathed and quickly return to Osaka and report this to authorities.
The JSDF, Japanese Self Defense Forces, and a team of scientists led by Dr. Yamane to discuss the mobsters on Iwato Island. Dr. Yamane confirmed the one monster is in fact Godzilla and the new one as Anguirus based on a report written by a Polish scientist. Great monsters do in fact exist. Godzilla and Anguirus had been dormant underground for centuries until they were disturbed by atomic blasts from nuclear testing performed by the American Navy in the Pacific. (Brilliant!)
Tumblr media
This time, Osaka was the unfortunate location for Godzilla’s raid because it was closest to Iwato Island. The defense team reviewed footage from the last Godzilla attack in Tokyo a year ago. The monster was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer, and a powerful weapon like that doesn’t exist. How would Osaka defend itself? Dr. Yamane suggested that Godzilla was light sensitive, observed from the Tokyo footage, and a citywide blackout would be the best defense. They could use flares to lure it to Osaka and use their military weapons to defeat Godzilla.
The JASDF, Japanese Air Self Defense Force, sends planes to search for Godzilla and he’s spotted moving towards the Kii Channel between Wakayama Prefecture and Shikoku. Mr. Yamaji, Hidemi’s father, is concerned because Godzilla could destruct his valued fishing production that he couldn’t afford to lose. Godzilla then changes his course and is now heading towards Osaka Bay. Authorities order an evacuation and Tsukiaka and Koboyashi go to the cannery with Mr. Yamaji. Meanwhile, convicts are being escape from an evacuation transport. They lead the police in a chase and crash into an oil refinery. The explosion attracts Godzilla and he goes towards it.
Mr. Yamaji and everyone evacuate the cannery and unbeknownst to them, the escaped convicts enter the business to hide. But no sooner than later, the convicts are killed when the monsters destroy the business. Destroying everything in their path the battle ends for Anguirus when Godzilla kills him with his atomic breath. Godzilla returns the sea.
Tumblr media
Later, Mr. Yamaji relocates his business to Hokkaido. Tsukioka is reunited with Tajima, a friend from college and the war; Tajima works for the JASDF. The friends join Yamaji and friends for dinner. It was there that Kobayashi tells Hidemi he’s fallen for a woman, but doesn’t say whom. She tries to persuade him to tell her, but he won’t. The dinner party falls silent when a news flash reports a ship was sunk by Godzilla.
Tsukioka volunteers and helps the JASDF search for Godzilla the morning after the sinking. He flies out to the location of the downed ship and spots Godzilla at Kamiko Island. Kobayashi joins Tsukioka who is trying to prevent Godzilla from leaving the island. Meanwhile, Hidemi finds Kobayashi’s diary and finds her picture is in it. She becomes emotional learning she’s the one he loves, but she is in love with Tsukioka. Kobayashi joins his friend circling Godzilla but is struck by an atomic blast and crashes into the mountain peak. The crash causes an avalanche that buries Godzilla and this is how the JASDF decides to use this method to stop Godzilla.
Everyone who knew Kobayashi is distraught, especially Hidemi. Tsukioka wants to aid the JASDF, but Tajima won’t allow him to because of Kobayashi. The JASDF flies to Kamiko Island and bombs the ground creating a wall of fire to prevent Godzilla from leaving while another group of planes shoots missiles into the mountaintop causing avalanches to subdue the great monster. Tsukioka flies out to the island to witness the attack and watches Godzilla fire one last blast before being completely buried by the downfall of snowy rubble. Knowing Godzilla is defeated, Tsukioka tells his best friend, Kobayashi, that they’ve won and he can rest in peace.
Wrap up
Godzilla Raids Again was released in Japan April 24, 1955 and an English-dubbed version was released by Warner Bros. in America May 21, 1959 under a different name: Gigantis, the Fire Monster.
Tumblr media
The Japanese version was released in Japanese-American theaters prior to the new adaptation and the audiences reception wasn’t received with the same excitement as was the first movie, but it did draw a moderate amount of money compared to what the first one profited. Tanaka claimed that the creating team had very little time to make this movie and he didn’t much care for it personally.
Despite the moderate profit and less enthusiastic reception, the movie is credited for paving the road for other great Godzilla movies.
I did enjoy the movie. Despite the mad rush deadline to meet, I think Tanaka created a good enough story that allows a scientific reason for Godzilla’s existence.
I enjoyed how the original movie and this one had similar romance dilemmas. The first movie, Emiko and Ogata are in love, and Dr. Serizawa is a friend who likes Emiko. Serizawa dies to save Japan. This movie, Hidemi and Tsukiyaka are in love and their friend Kobiasha likes Hidemi. Kobiasha’s death inspired a defense tactic to defeat Godzilla. Actors in both movies were outstanding. They made us believe Godzilla was real, none more so than the extras recruited for evacuation scenes.

I was thinking about Kitty Koichi and the Tamami episode. Since we know the guy is a con artist for money, maybe he tries to kidnap Koichi, wait until the family puts up posters and offers reward money, then claims to have found Koichi for money?
And if the price is too low, he can always guilt them into thinking their horrible pet owners then use the lock on them.
:0000
OOOOOO THAT'S A GREAT IDEA
maybe Koichi had been exploring a lot more and was generally getting used to the fact he now had the capability for Complex Thought. The world is so much more different now! There was so much to do and think about!!!!
unfortunately for him, his wanderings end with him getting caught by someone
and just. The whole time Koichi is making things as difficult as he can but also trying to figure out how to Think. He tries escaping but unfortunately he lacks opposable thumbs and isn't used to planning things. Luckily the Hirose's are very attentive owners and notice him missing rather quickly, so he doesn't have to spend too much time stuck in Kobayashi's home
and just. I'd imagine Kobayashi would absolutely milk Koichi's "bad behaviour" for as much as it was worth. Over exaggerating the scratch wounds and wrapping his arms in bandages, saying his favorite shirt was torn to ribbons, that he was surprised how little they were offering, didn't they care for their cat, surely he was worth more than a few measly thousand yen, and so on so forth
and of course, the whole time this is happening Koichi is absolutely SEETHING. He may still be learning about how to understand the human language, but the few words he does know plus what he knows about body language and tone are more than enough
Kobayashi now has a very angry kitty who's v e r y protective of His People on his hands

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Inosuke hated it when strangers stared at his face. In the family home of Tanjirou and Nezuko, which they now shared with Zenitsu and him, he was happy to go without his boar mask. But whenever they left for the nearby town to deliver charcoal, he would don his mask. It drew stares from the townspeople, some hostile, but most wary or scared. He didn’t care, as long as they were the ones, not him, who felt uneasy. Besides, Tanjirou was always with him, and Tanjirou could put those timid people at ease.
Life was a lot simpler and slow-moving with their demon-killing days behind them. Inosuke was sometimes bored. He missed the adrenaline rush from emerging victorious in a death-defying battle. Sometimes, he yearned for the unpredictability of living in the wilderness. But deep down, he knew he could never return to a life without his new family, especially Tanjirou. He had almost lost him once, and he never wanted to go through that ordeal again. As long as they were together, he would be content with any hand that life dealt. Provided he could continue being his masked and shirtless self.
But all this would soon have to change.
The Kobayashis were close family friends of the Kamados, and regular customers of their charcoal business. One day, Kobayashi regrettably informed Tanjirou that he would not be purchasing any more charcoal. He was retiring from his eatery business. However, he proposed that Tanjirou should inherit the eatery. Not having any children of his own, and being fond of the Kamado siblings, this was something he’d made up his mind about.
Decades ago, Kobayashi survived a demon attack, thanks to demon slayers who were passing through the town. In gratitude, Kobayashi and his wife used their establishment to house and feed demon slayers in need. Named “Wisteria Garden”, it had a small garden at the back where wisteria bloomed all year round. Tanjirou had baulked at the idea of such a hefty gift, but Kobayashi insisted that handing it down to former demon slayers could not be a more fitting arrangement.
Wisteria Garden was popular among the locals and visitors. Located in the heart of the town, it served ordinary but well-loved comfort food like udon, donburi and tempura. It was a cosy eatery that sat thirty, and diners could relax in the garden and admire the wisteria. When Inosuke first visited it, he felt right at home, and it didn’t take long for him and his friends to become regulars.
The owners were generous, often dishing out extra helpings and side dishes for free. In return for their kindness, Tanjirou and Nezuko would help out at the eatery on busy days.
Inosuke thought it would be a pity if such a nice eatery were to close down. He assured Tanjirou that he had his full support if he wanted to accept the Kobayashis’ offer. In any case, he didn’t care either way as long as he got to continue bossing his best friends around. If he could eat on the job, that was definitely a perk.
Zenitsu felt that this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. More people were switching to electricity, and charcoal burning may become obsolete. Food would never go out of date, though. Everyone has to eat.
Tanjirou had felt a little sad about giving up his family business of burning charcoal. But it did not feel right to deny his newfound family a better future. Burning charcoal was dangerous and strenuous work. After his recovery from the final battle, his left arm was never quite the same again. He had worked hard in the months after, and with the help of his best friends, regained some of his mobility. But Inosuke and Zenitsu had to do most of the heavy lifting, something he constantly apologised for, much to their chagrin. Moreover, Nezuko was of an age where she should enjoy her youth, wear pretty clothes and make friends with girls her age. Instead, she was spending her days running around the three of them and getting caked in soot. He had asked her to look for something else to do, but she didn't want to be away from him.
Cooking on the other hand was less physically demanding. It also brought him immense pleasure to see his friends enjoy his food. Nezuko was getting good at it too, so the both of them could handle the culinary responsibilities. He wasn’t sure how Zenitsu and Inosuke would fit in, but he was confident that they would manage. They have always worked well as a team.
“Let’s do it, nii-chan,” Nezuko looked at her brother with a determined expression on her face when Kobayashi brought up the matter again. And that sealed the deal.
*
Before they could become the eatery’s new owners, their suitability had to be assessed. Tanjirou and Nezuko’s culinary skills passed with flying colours. They could almost replicate the Wisteria Garden’s signature dishes. To improve, it was just a matter of practice. The real challenge came when they had a month-long on-the-job training to learn the ins and outs of managing the eatery.
The open-kitchen design gave a clear view of the kitchen over the countertop from the dining area. The four of them often watched the Kobayashis at work while they dined there. The couple made it look deceptively easy to run the eatery as a duo. They switched seamlessly between cooking, serving, cashiering, cleaning and chatting with customers.
Tanjirou and Nezuko had helped out in the kitchen before, so it didn’t take long for them to settle into their roles. They were even able to juggle extra responsibilities during the peak hours of lunch and dinner. Their pleasant demeanour and familiarity with the townspeople set customers at ease.
Zenitsu, too, adapted quickly. He was fast and accurate at taking orders and bringing orders to customers. He even found time to chat up the young female customers, though that soon stopped when he found himself on the receiving end of Nezuko’s stink eye.
But Inosuke, for the first time in seventeen years of his life, was horrified to discover that he had become the weakest link. Whenever he was in the dining area, his boar mask scared customers off, and the usually packed eatery would have lots of vacant seats. With too much free time on his hands, he would skulk around at the entrance, getting down on all fours at random to sniff around. This most definitely intimidated any potential customers. An exasperated Zenitsu told him to stop doing that, but Inosuke argued that he had to protect their new home from suspicious people.
“Nobody looks more suspicious than you!” Zenitsu cried.
Inosuke knew the mask would be a problem. Whenever he ate there, Mrs Kobayashi would nicely but firmly request that Inosuke put his boar mask away, even if he was just standing in the queue. It would scare the other customers, especially the children, she explained. Inosuke would reluctantly obey for the food. But now, he wasn’t here to eat. He was here to feed these fools, and damn them if they had a problem with his mask.
When Inosuke worked in the kitchen, business picked up. But it was not constructive. Inosuke was much more interested in eating than helping. This made Tanjirou and Nezuko busier than ever. They had to fix his misshapenly cut ingredients, sweep up cutlery that he broke while washing them, and cook faster than he could steal food. He knew he should exercise self-restraint. But how could he, when he was constantly surrounded by mouth-watering smells of freshly-cooked comfort food? Ever patient and nice, the siblings would smile and say it was quite all right, even thanking him for the confidence boost. But Inosuke felt bad, not to mention, constrained and useless in a kitchen that had no place for his talents.
Kobayashi tried to console him by offering other options. He could do other jobs, like build relationships with the suppliers, or manage the accounts. The job scopes for both made zero sense to him, so they became Tanjirou’s and Zenitsu’s responsibilities.
Zenitsu was far less charitable with his patience. He would not hesitate to chastise Inosuke whenever he was out of line.
As the week wore on with little improvement, Inosuke had on one occasion impetuously said that he would go back to his old home in the mountains. This was vehemently shot down by everyone, to his secret delight and relief.
“I know it’s hard on you,” Tanjirou put a comforting hand on his shoulder. “But you’re very important to us and we’ll give you all the time you need to adapt. If you still feel that this is not for you, you can do something else if you want, even go back to selling charcoal. But the four of us are a family and we should not be separated by something trivial like this.”
“Yea, sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel bad. I’ll be more patient,” Zenitsu promised.
*
By the second week, Zenitsu’s patience wore thin again. The entire town had gotten wind of the news that a group of youngsters was taking over the town’s favourite eatery. They all wanted to ascertain for themselves that these kids were up to the task. It was a struggle for the inexperienced team to cope. Once again, he nagged at Inosuke over breakfast.
“It’s the boar mask. All you have to do is take it off, and you can work in the front. It’s a lot more fun than being in the kitchen, I promise.”
“Zenitsu,” Nezuko said, a hint of disapproval in her voice.
“I mean, don’t you think it’s a pity? He has such a good-looking face. If I had a face like that, I’d make sure every girl in this town and the next town see it.”
“Then it’s a good thing that you look ordinary,” Nezuko deadpanned.
Ignoring Zenitsu’s protests that she’d misunderstood him, she turned to Inosuke. “It really is a shame. You are so handsome, that’s why people like looking at you. Why would you hide your face for that?”
“You could make your face useful, become our poster boy and draw the customers in,” Zenitsu chimed in. “You see, Nezuko-chan? That’s what I meant. Attracting customers, not picking up girls. Heh.”
“And give the stupid townspeople more reason to stare at my face?” Inosuke hated the idea.
“Nezuko-chan gets plenty of stares and compliments too. I think it’s fine if they aren’t creepy about it. Even I get stared at, but it turns out that people just want to know why my hair is yellow. I wish pretty girls would look at me and compliment me.”
“Well, it’s just as I thought,” Nezuko remarked dryly.
“That was a joke! Having Nezuko-chan look at me is more than I can wish for!”
Inosuke replaced his boar mask firmly over his head. He twirled his finger around his empty plate, annoyed that his friends couldn’t empathise with him.
“Nezuko’s a girl, so it’s different.” He knew it was a nonexplanation, but it was hard to make them understand.
“We’ve talked about this,” Tanjirou said as he walked into the dining room. “Let’s not make Inosuke do what he doesn’t like.”
Thank goodness, Inosuke thought. Tanjirou is finally here to put a stop to this pointless conversation.
“Everybody has a different threshold for comfort. It doesn’t matter what Nezuko and you think, Zenitsu. Just because you both can put up with being stared at, it doesn’t mean Inosuke can do the same.”
Inosuke jumped up from his chair.
“What do you mean by that?! How dare you belittle me!” Inosuke pointed a shaking finger at Tanjirou. “I’ll show you what I can do, and I’ll do it better than any of you!”
He pulled off his boar mask and slammed it down on the dining table, to everyone’s astonishment.
“I’m not challenging you!” Tanjirou tried to explain.
But Inosuke had run to the door, maskless and yelling that the last person out of the house would wash all the dishes.
*
When Inosuke wore a smile, albeit a very forced one, instead of a boar mask, the customers were at ease. It was yet another busy day at the eatery.
The lunch crowd made Inosuke nervous as always, but he was a man on a mission, and he willed himself to focus. With so much to do, he didn’t have long to dwell on his discomfort from his naked face, or his uniform. At least he was permitted to wear only the haori with hakama pants. The standard uniform top consisted of an inner shirt, a haori and an apron over it all. His three friends had been wearing this without complaint since day one. He would never tell them this, but he envied their tolerance and couldn’t imagine how they could willingly suffer in it for hours. Wasn’t it hot and stuffy, especially for Tanjirou, who spent more time than anyone else in the kitchen?
But their head chef seemed perfectly happy, even humming tunelessly as he managed multiple stoves by himself. Nezuko would usually help him. Today, she was held up at the front by a group of foreign-looking people in funny clothes, who spoke a language Inosuke had never heard before. Zenitsu said they were wearing suits and were likely from abroad from the Western part of the world. Spending a couple of years as a non-speaking demon had made Nezuko very good at communicating with hand signs.
Oh well, Tanjirou would manage just fine. He could always be trusted with anything he set his mind on. Inosuke was determined not to lose. Tanjirou counted on him for many things. He mustn’t let his favourite underling think that he’s an unreliable boss.
He knew exactly what he had to do. He’s watched Zenitsu do it for the past few days, and there’s absolutely no reason he couldn’t do what Zenitsu’s capable of. Since it was officially his first day, he performed easier tasks like clearing the tables and bringing the dirty dishes to the kitchen. With a bit more patience and focus, he was able to avoid breaking anything while washing them. He gained more confidence, and soon he was weaving in and out of the kitchen with a growing spring in his step. His dexterity and strength came in handy to balance the heavy trays of dishes.
Maybe he actually had a gift for this! Or maybe he’s just awesome and talented and nothing’s beyond his abilities.
But for all his self-affirmations, it had been a long time since Inosuke was in close vicinity of many strangers. Feeling overwhelmed, he ran into the kitchen to catch his breath and steal some moments of tranquillity. A few bowls of udon sat on the kitchen counter waiting to be served. He felt his stomach rumble. He’d been working his muscles and brain hard for the past hour. But no, he swore he would do better than his friends, so he absolutely must resist eating any of the customers’ food.
Tanjirou hunched over a bowl of tempura in a corner of the kitchen, shaking out condiments over it. Inosuke figured it would be fine to seek his attention for a bit since he wasn’t doing anything dangerous like cooking or cutting. He made a beeline for him and grabbed his haori sleeve, like he always did when he was anxious or stressed. He could feel some of the tension leave his body.
Tanjirou turned to face him. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine,” Inosuke mumbled. He was feeling a whole mixed bag of emotions, so it was simply easier to say that he was fine. After all, he would be fine. There’s nothing he can’t handle.
“I was watching you earlier. You did amazing! I can’t believe it’s your first time doing this,” Tanjirou said with a smile that made him feel warm and fuzzy inside. Inosuke used to think these sensations were strange. Now they filled him with gusto for another hour at the literal battlefield out front.
“Of course!” Inosuke grinned. He straightened his back and thumped his chest with a fist, “You can always count on me!”
Tanjirou beamed at him. “I know!” Then he said, “I’ve got something for you, open your mouth!”
Inosuke obeyed, and Tanjirou fed him a piece of tempura.
“Mmm!” Inosuke responded through a mouthful of crispy, freshly-fried tempura. It was just the right temperature and airiness.
“Is it good?”
He nodded enthusiastically.
“You can have the whole bowl, I made it just for you,” Tanjirou held up the large bowl of tempura.
Inosuke looked at the tempting tempura, and then at the bowls of udon waiting to be served. Nothing could please him more right now than to indulge in his favourite food while watching his favourite person in the world being happy. But he had to prioritise.
“I must get back to work, but I’ll be back for those! Wait for me!”
He swept up the udon bowls onto a tray and dashed out to the battlefield before he could regret his decision.
With Tanjirou’s hourly encouragement and tempura (kept in a preheated oven to stay warm and crispy), Inosuke survived his first official full work day at the Wisteria Garden.
“This is more tiring than pillar training,” Inosuke sat slumped over a table as his friends bustled around him closing the shop.
“You’ll get used to it,” Tanjirou smiled. “You did a great job. We couldn’t have managed today’s crowd without you.”
Inosuke glowed with pride. For the first time in a while, he felt that he had secured his place among his friends in this strange little town. “Ha! Told you not to belittle me.”
“Let’s see if you can keep it up for the rest of the week and more,” Zenitsu quipped.
“Of course I can!”
“Get up and help then,” Zenitsu smacked him on the shoulder. “Unlike you, we don’t have hourly snack breaks.”
“Don’t boss me around! Did you hear what Tanjirou said? I saved the day. You guys couldn’t manage without me!” Inosuke said haughtily.
“Back to your cocky self huh? I wonder who it was who got all depressed days ago and said he would go back to his old home in the mountains,” Zenitsu smirked.
Inosuke ignored him, but he got up and joined Tanjirou and Nezuko in the kitchen to help with washing up.
*
On their way back to their home, they stopped by a store that sold all sorts of things from soy sauce to sweets to brooms. The shop owner was a friendly older woman who often chatted with Tanjirou, Nezuko and Zenitsu, and avoided looking at Inosuke. He preferred it that way. But today, she kept watching him as he tailed behind Tanjirou, and it was starting to get under his skin. When Tanjirou brought his shopping to the counter, she finally spoke up, “Who’s that new friend of yours, Tanjirou? I feel like I’ve met him before but I can’t place a finger on it.”
Tanjirou stared at her, momentarily confused. He looked behind him and realised who she was referring to.
“Oh, but you’ve met him many times! It’s Inosuke, you know, the one with the boar mask.”
The woman clapped her hands together in astonishment. Addressing Inosuke, she exclaimed, “You look completely different from what I was expecting! I didn’t think it was you at all. Haha. You shouldn’t wear the head. You look a lot better like this.”
Inosuke wasn’t sure what to respond. Who was she to tell him what to wear anyway?
Perhaps realising she had been rude, the woman offered him a freshly-made batch of gyoza. Inosuke accepted the peace offering and was pleased to find that it was delicious.
Tanjirou thanked her and insisted on paying for it, but she waved off his offer. “You’ve already helped me with this and that. Just give me more spring onions or something at your eatery next time.”
If not wearing a mask meant that people would offer him free food, he wouldn’t mind taking advantage of this, Inosuke thought.
“Do you all want some too? I can make more,” she asked, when she realised that Inosuke had emptied the entire plate and left nothing for his friends.
“Oh no thank you, we already had dinner. He’s a bottomless pit,” Zenitsu said.
After they left the store, Zenitsu complained, “That woman is so shallow, I bet she gave him free food because she likes his face.”
“I don’t think she was being shallow. It’s human nature to warm up to someone once they realise he isn’t as threatening as they thought,” Tanjirou said.
“Actually, the people here are really nice and generous once they get to know you!” Nezuko explained. “When nii-chan delivered charcoal, they would ply him with free food. Once, he came back with such a big bag that Mother made him go back and return it all!”
Tanjirou nodded fondly at the memory. “Mother said food didn’t come easy so we shouldn’t take advantage of other people’s kindness. ”
No wonder Tanjirou’s so insistent on repaying people, Inosuke thought. He’d always found it a bit silly since Tanjirou always did things for others without wanting anything in return. If his mother knew this, maybe she’d be less hard on him.
Zenitsu was unconvinced. “I suppose we’ll have to teach Inosuke about stranger danger. If he’s going to accept free food from random strangers, which will happen more since people these days are so shallow, he’ll get into all sorts of trouble.”
“Huh? I took it because I can sense that she’s not a bad person, even if she annoys me. I’m not stupid!” Inosuke snapped.
“I sure hope so,” Zenitsu’s voice dripped with so much scepticism that Inosuke concluded he must be itching for a beating.
“Don’t run so fast, you might get a stitch!” Tanjirou warned, but Inosuke was already hot on the heels of a screaming Zenitsu.
*
As the days went by, Inosuke realised that he enjoyed working at the Wisteria Garden. It was a nice change from the monotony of burning charcoal. On particularly hectic days, orders ticked off at lightning speed. It was fun and challenging to stay ahead of the game through speed, agility and mental acuity, all the strengths that he was proud of. He relished the exhilaration that came with the completion of each hourly shift. After which, he would enjoy Tanjirou’s special treat, made just for him as a reward.
He’s such a fast learner and an exemplary worker that he’s moved on to taking customers’ orders. Having eaten every dish several times, he knew the entire menu from back to front. Despite not learning to read it, he was able to match the orders seamlessly, and give recommendations to indecisive customers.
He still didn’t like interacting with the customers much. They kept asking him questions about the menu. He recognised some of them and knew they’d eaten here several times. There was no excuse for them to be unfamiliar with the menu, unless they had awful memories. Zenitsu explained that they were using the menu as an excuse to chat him up. He found this seriously annoying. It messed up his momentum and made him lose to Zenitsu in their “who completed more orders” challenges. But Nezuko said customers were usually right. So he would answer their questions as politely as he could manage if they didn’t give him too much trouble. He’s a good boss and he should set an example for his underlings.
Increasingly, he felt less bothered going out and about without his boar mask. It was carefully stored away in a cupboard that Tanjirou made just for him, together with other precious mementoes like the loin cloth with his name on it.
The training came to an end and the Kobayashis were pleased to hand over the keys to the Wisteria Garden. Kobayashi said they were welcome to ask for help anytime. Not that he thought it would be necessary. He said they were the most diligent, resourceful and sensible youngsters he had ever met. He was sure they would fare well on their own.
“We’re starting a new phase of our lives tomorrow. We should go and pray for blessings!” Nezuko suggested.
They made their way to the shrine at the outskirt of the town. Inosuke had visited a few times, but he could never quite remember the ritual to ask for blessings. It involved something like taking a deep bow, throwing a coin, and clapping hands together twice. Or was it thrice? Nezuko was happy to walk him through the whole process again. Inosuke made the same wish that he always did - that the four of them would always lead a blessed and carefree life together.
Visitors started crowding the usually peaceful shrine grounds just as they were leaving. There was to be a festival at the shrine, and tourists from out of town were expected.
Inosuke was dismayed to find the crowd growing denser as they headed further out. His stomach churned with anxiety. He hated crowds. People jostled past them and he got elbowed several times. Ahead was a literal sea of people packed shoulder to shoulder. Compulsively, he grabbed the edge of Tanjirou’s haori sleeve and squeezed it in his palm.
“Nezuko-chan, stay close to me. I’ll protect you,” Zenitsu stood close behind Nezuko. He raised his arms around her, so that his haori sleeves formed a protective barrier between her and the crowd. Together, they plodded through the throng of people.
“Inosuke,” Tanjirou whispered. Inosuke jumped. Having people speak into his ear was something he was still trying to get accustomed to without his boar hide as a barrier.
“Sorry, want to hold hands?”
“Huh?”
“So we don’t get separated.”
Inosuke felt Tanjirou’s hand press against his. Reflexively, he squeezed it back.
Tanjirou’s warm, callused hand was so much more comforting than the cool, floppy haori fabric. The dull ache in his stomach left, replaced by the warm and fuzzy feelings that Tanjirou always made him feel, but with greater intensity than before. His heart raced. It reminded him of the thrill from scoring a win, or the buzz from eating as much as he wanted of his favourite food. They were still in the crowd, making slow and steady progress. But he had stopped hearing the noisy chatter of the crowd, stopped feeling the stuffiness and claustrophobia. All he could feel was Tanjirou’s hand against his own, and their close proximity to each other.
All too soon, they emerged unscathed. Tanjirou released his hand and praised him, “That was some crowd. But you did really well to stay calm!” Tanjirou gave him a radiant smile that set his heart aflutter once more.
Calm? Inosuke thought he was anything but calm. His heart was a palpitating mess. He was sure Zenitsu would hear it, but Zenitsu was busy fussing over Nezuko.
Tanjirou continued walking, and Inosuke followed. The street was no longer crowded, but Inosuke’s hand felt empty and uncomfortable. He wanted to feel Tanjirou’s strong palm in his own. Even if it drove his heart into overdrive. What can he say? He’s a born fighter and he craved a good adrenaline rush.
He reached out and grabbed Tanjirou’s hand.
“Inosuke?” Tanjirou whispered, surprise evident in his voice.
Inosuke interlaced their fingers. He could feel his face grow warm, and that was rather nice in this cool Autumn season. Zenitsu always raved to him at length about wanting to hold Nezuko’s hand. He couldn’t understand what the fuss was from his friend’s babbling, but now he did. He should have tried this long ago.
“Inosuke, are you nervous?”
“Yes! I mean, no! I’m the king of the mountains. Nothing unsettles me!” Inosuke said. He’s glad he’s better at lying than Tanjirou was.
“Right.” Tanjirou seemed satisfied with the answer and they continued walking in silence.
Ah damnit, Tanjirou could smell emotions, couldn’t he? He had said he wouldn’t go out of the way to do it because it was intrusive. But if Inosuke could smell or hear emotions like his friends could, he would want to know how Tanjirou felt at this moment. Sure, he had excellent senses, but deciphering the signals was something he still grappled with.
Did Tanjirou like holding hands as much as he did? He must be happy because he had a placid smile on his face. Inosuke could feel Tanjirou’s pulse throbbing harder than earlier, so he must be pretty excited too. Maybe they could have a contest - to see who could make each other’s heart race faster.
Zenitsu’s voice disrupted his thoughts. “Anyone get the feeling that we’re being stared at?”
Inosuke suddenly realised he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings at all. Luckily this town was peaceful. It would be folly if there was an enemy on the prowl.
He looked around him. Zenitsu was quite right. People were staring, with unpleasant expressions on their faces. He had the feeling that these people weren’t just looking at his face.
“Why are you both holding hands?” Zenitsu yelped, his wide eyes fixed on their intertwined hands.
“Oh it was crowded just now, I didn’t want us to get separated,” Tanjirou said.
“It’s not crowded anymore,” Zenitsu pointed out.
“You’re right,” Tanjirou loosened his grip, but Inosuke didn’t let go. Zenitsu raised an eyebrow.
“I like holding hands. Got a problem with that?” Inosuke said defiantly.
Zenitsu looked taken aback, but he quickly recovered. “Personally not, but look around, do you see any grown-ups holding hands?”
Inosuke looked. No, he didn’t. He also noticed more stares now, which made him feel uncomfortable. But Tanjirou’s hand felt really nice in his.
“I don’t. So what?”
“Only couples hold hands. Even then, it’s not good manners to display affection in public, especially in small towns like this one.”
“That’s lame!” Inosuke bristled. Why does this stupid town have so many rules? First, he can’t wear his mask. Then, he can’t go shirtless. Now they want to stop him from holding Tanjirou’s hand too? Nope, not happening.
“It’s fine, it’s just holding hands. Don’t make a fuss, Zenitsu,” Tanjirou patted Inosuke’s shoulder soothingly, although his own face was going a deeper pink.
Feeling emboldened, Inosuke declared, “I like holding Tanjirou’s hand. I’m not letting go!”
Zenitsu rolled his eyes. “If you want to be lovey-dovey with each other, wait till you get home!”
“We’re not-” Tanjirou began, but Inosuke bellowed, “Stop telling me what to do!”
Zenitsu sighed. Inosuke noticed that more people were staring now after his outburst. He felt the knot in his stomach tighten, and he gripped Tanjirou’s hand harder. Tanjirou squeezed his hand back. The knot eased a little.
Nezuko had been watching the exchange in pensive silence. She piped up, “Let’s all hold hands and walk together!”
Zenitsu gave her an incredulous look, but Tanjirou’s face lit up at her suggestion.
“Oh yes, when we were small, we’d all hold hands and walk in a circle around Mother when we were in town. It was the best way to not get lost on market day.”
“What? No, I don’t want to do that. What are we? Three?” Zenitsu scoffed.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to,” Nezuko said with a huff. She moved closer to Inosuke and took his free hand in hers.
“Is this fine for you?” She beamed up at him.
Inosuke nodded. Nezuko’s hand was warm, small and soft. It’s a nice hand, and holding it gave him a pleasant feeling. But it wasn’t quite comparable to the excitement he got from squeezing Tanjirou’s hand. Nezuko’s hand was dainty, and he’s afraid he might hurt her if he squeezed it, so he tried not to. Which was just as well, because Zenitsu was glaring so hard at their loosely-gripped hands, he thought his eyes might pop right out of their sockets if he did.
“Why does Inosuke get to hold Nezuko-chan’s hand?!! I haven’t even touched her hand!!! This isn’t fair!!! I want to hold Nezuko-chan’s hand too!!!” Zenitsu’s shrill screaming reverberated through the street.
Even the people who had walked past them turned back to glare at his public spectacle.
“You said it’s childish to hold hands,” Nezuko turned her nose up at Zenitsu’s trembling proffered hand.
“I’m sorry Nezuko-chan!!! I didn’t think that when you said hold hands, you’d actually want to hold my hand!!! Please forgive me!!! Don’t make me walk alone!!!”
“Here, you can hold my other hand,” Tanjirou laughed.
“I don’t want your hand!!! I want Nezuko-chan’s!!!”
After several more apologies and self-admonishments from Zenitsu, Nezuko thrust her free hand to him with a giggle.
Zenitsu cried in relief and cradled her palm against his face.
“Nezuko-chan’s hand is so soft and nice!”
Nezuko pulled her hand away and tapped him on the head.
“Hold my hand properly or you don’t get to hold it!”
“Sorry Nezuko-chan!” he interlaced their fingers and gave her hand a squeeze, a foolish grin on his face. Nezuko looked away, her face bright pink.
“Does this mean I can hold your hand again next time, Nezuko-chan?”
“I’ll think about it,” Nezuko said loftily, although her eyes sparkled in a way that Inosuke had never seen before.
Not to be outdone, he turned to Tanjirou, “Can I hold your hand again next time?”
“Eh?” Tanjirou had been grinning at Nezuko and Zenitsu’s antics, and the question caught him off guard.
“Can I hold-”
“I heard you. Um, you can, if it makes you happy.”
Tanjirou lowered his eyes, so Inosuke couldn’t see if they sparkled. He actually seemed flustered, if anything. Tanjirou’s usually calm and collected. Sometimes he got mad, sometimes he was sad, and sometimes, he was frightened or worried, but he always seemed to know what to do next. Flustered Tanjirou was new to him. If he could make Tanjirou flustered, that’s a good thing right? Zenitsu was frequently flustered around Nezuko.
“Are you nervous?” Inosuke asked.
“No!” Tanjirou said, his ears turning beetroot red.
Inosuke smirked. As always, Tanjirou’s awful at lying.
The four of them walked together, hand in hand, swinging their arms gaily.
Some passersby looked on disapprovingly, but others cracked a smile. A group of children even mimicked them.
They were definitely attracting a lot of of attention now. But Zenitsu had such a dazed and silly look on his face, Inosuke doubted that he was bothered at all. He couldn’t see his own face, but his cheeks ached from smiling, and he hoped he didn’t look as idiotic as his friend did.
“Getting stared at isn’t so bad right?” Nezuko asked him.
Inosuke agreed with her.
*
They walked up the mountain path that led to home, leaving behind the town and the stares.
Somewhere along the way, Nezuko wanted to re-tie her hair, so the little group split up. Zenitsu went ahead to pick flowers for Nezuko to put in her hair. When he came back to her, she was watching Tanjirou and Inosuke, who walked together some way behind.
“They’re still holding hands?!” he exclaimed.
She put a finger to her lips and shushed him with a knowing smile.

Author Notes: Thanks for reading my first-ever fanfiction after a several-year-long hiatus! This Author's Note is long since it's my first one after like, a decade. I’m sorry if my writing is rusty. I do write a lot for work, but it’s non-creative writing, and I think it shows. But InoTan is too fun, so I had to try. I must profess that my experience working in the Food and Beverage industry is severely limited. But I love restaurant games, and I was picturing the main four flailing around as Overcooked characters while writing this. After I read the manga ending, I desperately wanted sweet cinnamon roll Tanjirou to have the fluffiest happily ever after ending. It saddens me that such a selfless and gentle person has to go through so much, so I just wanted to write fluffy fics with him being my definition of happy. Although Tanjirou’s my favourite character, I enjoyed writing about him through Inosuke’s POV. Inosuke went through significant character growth throughout the canon storyline. I imagine that 2 years after the main story ends, he would become more mature, more aware and able to face up to his feelings and understand emotions. He would get his friends’ names correct, but at the same time, retain some of his impetuous and competitive nature. He would still see his friends as underlings, in an “I'm your boss and I'll protect you” kind of way. He would still be highly sensitive to and easily stimulated by touch, such as hand holding and pulse rates, since that’s his strongest sense. This story has nothing to do with the song “Stares in this Town” by Ramones. I was just googling for inspiration for a title along the theme of staring, and this came up. That said, I read the lyrics and if they’re taken at face value, I think it might be a rather accurate reflection of Inosuke’s mindset in this story. Feeding scenes are cute, as are scenes with Inosuke grabbing Tanjirou’s clothes for stress relief. These were my simple motivations for writing the scene of Tanjirou feeding tempura to Inosuke :D
Inosuke made the same wish that he always did - that the four of them would always lead a blessed and carefree life together. I thought this would be the sort of thing Inosuke would wish for since he’s a simple person, and of course, they would all completely deserve it. 🥹 Also, the first time they visit a shrine together, I bet they have to stop Inosuke from scaling the bell rope 😂 This excerpt was my first attempt at writing an Inotan hand-holding scene! I felt it couldn’t be atypically romantic, but it should be comfortable at least. Tanjirou would take the initiative, but Inosuke would continue with it after realising how good it feels.
He wanted to feel Tanjirou’s strong palm in his own. Even if it drove his heart into overdrive. What can he say? He’s a born fighter and he craved a good adrenaline rush.
I had to make some references to Inosuke’s competitive nature. Likening hand-holding to a fight might be as romantic as Inosuke gets :D
I loved writing the group hand-holding scene. I enjoyed having sassy Nezuko take the initiative. Despite Zenitsu proclaiming his crush on Nezuko to everyone, I think he'd be afraid of making an actual move due to past failed experiences with girls. He doesn't want to make a mistake and scare her away. As for Inosuke, he's a quick learner and I'm sure he picks up a lot from watching Zenitsu and Nezuko flirt with each other. Also, I just love the adorable image of the four of them holding hands and marching gaily through the town. It would be even cuter if they sang, but Inosuke and Tanjirou might get kicked out of the town for creating sound pollution, so that wouldn't be a good idea!
My headcanon tells me that Inosuke would take pleasure in making Tanjirou feel flustered because he sees it as a sign of weakness. In a way, he feels a sense of pride in being able to elicit such a response from Tanjirou and seeing him vulnerable.
Thank you for reading! If my fic made you smile, it’d really make my day if you could drop a like, reblog, and/or comment to let me know! This story is also published on AO3 where you can comment anonymously!

Which, aside from being a Yakuza gang member who was killed, this murder is not known who the killer besides those who are called "Runaway".
" However, who is Runaway? Runaways are those with supernatural powers, or an ability users, who are acquainted without organization. They can be passive, or wild. And their one motto: They will be free no matter what."
-> Ability User : is a special force possessed by many individuals throughout the world. An ability user may be conscious of and can control their ability, though in some cases, an ability may be uncontrollable and activated automatically. Moreover, a person may be an ability user since birth or could manifest such power in later life.
Obviously, this drew protests from Runaways who were not actually involved in this case. However, there are also those who remain silent and do not recognize themselves as Runaways; but they realized they were Runaways, and that one of them was named Lev Haiba.
Tumblr media
--> MAIN CHARACTER : Lev Haiba - 15 y.o
Ability: 「 The Lion's field 」
To summon the supernatural white lion named Lyon. Lev can control Lyon to attack other people, or whatever he commands.
Lev in the end is just an ordinary teenager who dreams of becoming Ace Nekoma. He didn't really care about this case and chose to ignore it; or, rather pretend not to know until then, this case happened near Nekoma.
Back to the big murder case, this case has a similar pattern, it happened near a school; Such as Karasuno school, Shiratorizawa, Aoba Johsai, Dateko, Itachiyama, and even up to Fukurodani. At that time, the local government made a statement that schools had to be closed; and the postponement of the Spring tournament ensued.
It didn't stop there, many things happened that harmed many people, including Lev. Where later, Lev was suddenly named a suspect exactly a week before the spring tournament by the Special Division based on the results of an investigation by Mr. Ango Sakaguchi with his abilities.
But it turns out again, it was just a trick. The perpetrators actually confused Ango's abilities with theirs; They framed Lev too so that Lev, who initially didn't care about this case, became involved as "still a suspect" and also a "victim". And it is known that the one who trapped Lev has a name as "Six".
--> MAIN VILLAIN : Six
Ability: 「 ??? 」
Temporary description : Manipulate the memory of an object
2. ARC 2
Taking another POV, Shinsuke Kita is a part of that Runaway.
Tumblr media
--> MAIN CHARACTER : Shinsuke Kita - 18 y.o
Ability: 「 Hollowness 」
To create a Doppelgangger with very much different of personality. Sometimes, the personality of those Doppelgangers can resemble characteristics of a psychopath.
Compared to Lev, Shinsuke really doesn't really care about the development of the case. He focused on himself in the moment. He had no reason to care about this case anyway.
However, what makes the principle collapse is when an incident occurs.
The 10th murder occurred in his rice field. By the way the victim was killed by being stabbed to death; Shinsuke witnessed it with his own eyes. There too, he meets someone who introduces himself as "One".
Sensing that Shinsuke will become a hindrance for them, One uses his ability on Shinsuke before Shinsuke can react.
--> MAIN VILLAIN : One
Ability: 「 ??? 」
Temporary description : Moving from one place to another without seeing a certain distance.
Back to Lev's POV, after everything he's been through, Lev decides to cool off by going to the wharf in Yokohama. On the pier he vaguely recalls having a memory of someone he calls as "Sunset Man". However, he couldn't remember exactly who the man was.
However, while passing through one of the passages, he saw a person lying between two containers. And that person is Shinsuke who just "transmigrated" from Hyogo to Yokohama.
Lev obviously rashly approached Shinsuke. However, Shinsuke, who has a weapon with him, wakes up and immediately attacks Lev; even though Lev stops him with his ability. And there was a little battle between Lev and Shinsuke with each of their abilities. Until Lev, finally able to calm the atmosphere and help Shinsuke.
( Basically here Shinsuke loses, because Shinsuke is unable to control his Doppelganger, while Lev has full control over his abilities ).
Lev helps Shinsuke by inviting Shinsuke to his home, to talk of course. The two spoke as both of them are related to this incident. Basically, both of them are victims of the abomination of the perpetrator, where Lev is framed by them and Shinsuke is an eyewitness to this incident.
The two obviously didn't know each other, but because they were going through the same thing, they could feel connected to one another. It's not easy for Shinsuke to tell a bit about his abilities part, because of the fact that Shinsuke has always hated his abilities. And it's not easy for Lev to tell about his situation because he can't risk the team knowing that he was once a suspect in a case.
At the end of the day, Shinsuke was allowed to stay before tomorrow, Lev would take Shinsuke away to a safe place; based on his search results on Google, the Armed Detective Agency can help.
At the same time, the 10th murder case became the hottest news in Japan.
3. ARC 3
Another take on a different POV, now coming from Tadashi's POV.
Tumblr media
--> MAIN CHARACTER : Tadashi Yamaguchi - 15 y.o
Ability: 「 Trapped in the Remnant 」
Related to memory; he can read, and manipulate a memory. Good memory of humans, animals, even the memory of an object.
Tadashi was not a curious teenager. But since this case happened near Karasuno, Tadashi's astonishment arose; he secretly investigates the case and follows its developments.
However, from all the clues he got, he instead found that someone close to him was the character of the perpetrator based on the memory of several objects around the crime scene. And that close person is Akiteru Tsukishima.
Obviously, Tadashi didn't accept it and investigated further, but again what he got was nothing, Akiteru was still the perpetrator based on the memory of the existing objects. Tadashi's original intention was to messing with the memories of surrounding objects before being found out further by the authorities who are ability users, but he discouraged him and chose to remain silent.
Meanwhile, Akiteru had no choice. However, he felt very guilty and Akiteru chose to kill himself. He killed himself by shooting himself in the head with the gun he got from "One".
Flashback, Akiteru witnessed the murder of Shintaro Ishihara who was then killed by "One".
Where "One" itself is Runaway which describes itself as "Underground" or a group of organizations that want revenge for the atrocities of the Yakuza Morimi Gang.
Back to the situation, "One" didn't immediately kill Akiteru, but he took advantage of Akiteru's situation to become a ally in Runaway (in fact, Akiteru is not an ability user). And even "One" is also "Six" when it threatens to kill Kei Tsukishima and others in Karasuno volleyball club' if Akiteru refuses.
Akiteru here is forced to make plans to kill every member of the Yakuza which this burdens him with. Because he could not report to the police; or the authorities because "One" and "Six" keep watching over him.
Therefore, to leave this case hanging, Akiteru choose to end his sin and leave this world.
4. ARC 4
I'm going to fast-forward here;
After Akiteru's suicide, word spreads in Karasuno and this causes the Karasuno team to initially have difficulty getting into spring high— but luckily they are able to enter after some deliberation.
Returning to Lev and Shinsuke, Lev takes Shinsuke to the Armed Detective Agency the next day. Obviously, Lev's intentions were good and all went well until halfway, the two of them met Motoya Komori.
Tumblr media
Motoya Komori
Ability: 「 Ref;Rain 」
Allowing him to revive someone who has died within three days. However, he couldn't revive himself if he died; he can only heal himself with a maximum limit of moderate injuries.
Both of them knew who Motoya was; and at that time Motoya was seriously injured with a gunshot wound to the stomach. And there Levi and Shinsuke met other Underground members, namely "Eight"..
Eight
Ability: 「 ??? 」
Temporary description : To change his form into another person by eating candy.
When they tried to attack "Eight", "Eight" chose to run away and disguised himself as someone else with his abilities. Therefore the only option left for the two is to take Motoya to the hospital.
At the hospital, they will meet Kiyoomi.
Tumblr media
Kiyoomi Sakusa
Ability: 「 Dawn After The Night 」
To control his shadow into a shape he wants.
Kiyoomi didn't say anything but just nodded his head. Obviously, this made Shinsuke and Lev feel a little irritated; but they have to understand basically Kiyoomi probably still in shock after knowing his cousin was in danger.
This is where Lev and Shinsuke will meet Armed Detective Agency members named Kunikida Doppo and Yosano Akiko, and Atsushi Nakajima. Here Lev will explain all the existing situations; From the way he met Shinsuke, to how they could meet Komori in this situation. And little bit of scolding from Kunikida.
( And Shinsuke will return to Hyogo for various reasons which will be explained by Kunikida who accompanies him )
5. Arc 5
Two weeks after the incident, finally spring high can be held even if everyone has to be in alert if something happened. And if that happens, then the match will be immediately stopped right then and there.
From Shinsuke's POV, at first he was not allowed to go, but after persuading his parents and grandmother, Shinsuke went as captain of inarizaki.
Meanwhile from Lev's POV, he will meet Shinsuke again. And, of course, meet again with Kiyoomi.
However, Kiyoomi will talk to Lev before Lev meets Shinsuke again.
Their conversation is related to how far Lev feels suspicious about this case.
Lev himself will be honest with Kiyoomi because his instincts can believe that Kiyoomi is a good person. And it's true, Kiyoomi is actually kind, but he's stuck in a pretty complicated situation;
Kiyoomi is one of the perpetrators who escaped. And he was in the same position as Akiteru. In other words, Kiyoomi joined and left before Akiteru, which he also explained that he was the reason Akiteru committed suicide— Kiyoomi is the mastermind of all existing murder plans, and Akiteru was forced to take his place.
At that moment Lev contemplates whether he really believes Kiyoomi is a good person or not, but let's say Lev is naive, then he believes that Kiyoomi can be a good partner. At least they're in position which are equally unprofitable actually.
During those two weeks, Lev and Shinsuke kept in touch. Even with a short distance, they can talk well with each other. And you could say it's pretty close.
Lev told everything to Shinsuke before Shinsuke's match with Karasuno. At that time, Shinsuke could only remain silent and said that he could not really trust Kiyoomi. Lev couldn't enforce Shinsuke's principles and because of that, they agreed to keep their distance from Kiyoomi at that time.
On the other hand, Tadashi immediately approached Kiyoomi before the match. Tadashi is furious because from the evidence based on his abilities, Kiyoomi is the guilty one; Kiyoomi indirectly kills Akiteru because of his decision.
Kiyoomi admits he was wrong. However, before Tadashi returned to his rage... The match has started.
After the match was over, Shinsuke realized that Tadashi was an ability user because his own abilities told him so.
However, this did not make him directly approach Tadashi. But he was careful and chose to tell it to Lev who was really close to him. After listening to all the conclusions, Lev thought of one thing; namely team work to solve this case.
Shinsuke initially denied the idea, but after thinking about it, the same situation might make them have their own resolutions. As well as Lev who is not suspected of being a culprit again, nor would he be able to protect his team and family from harm by contacting the Armed Detective Agency.
Although this idea is also absurd, what Shinsuke suggests is for Lev to stick with this idea until he waits for the right moment.
6. Arc 6
There is a last letter from Akiteru explaining that he is hiding something. The last message was coded quite complicated, and only Tadashi noticed it because he uses ability to find out what that means.
Tadashi headed for a Shrine in Shibuya. His search yielded results in the form of seeing an old hut that Akiteru meant. In the old hut, Tadashi entered and opened a box that was also there. However, inside the box, there is a corpse's finger holding a... Flashdrive. Which flashdrive contains a plan that will be carried out by the Underground.
However, there is a new member named "River" there.
River
Ability : 「 Swindlers 」
To create a Doppelganger with water.
Obviously, a fight ensued between River and Tadashi. Tadashi, who at that time was really beaten back, was finally helped by Kiyoomi.
Kiyoomi who won the fight easily invited Tadashi to his residence for a moment to stop by. Tadashi insisted on refusing, but after a moment, he contemplated a decision and decided to accept it.
At the residence, Tadashi will meet Motoya ( Motoya is healthy, unfortunately he can't join the competition ). Where Motoya himself said that Tadashi was out of the plan, but it would be good if Tadashi was also included in this plan. Tadashi asks what Motoya means, simply, Motoya explains; If his plan is to gather the Runaways who are related to this case.
It was there that Tadashi also realized that Motoya's intention was to invite the two people whose photos were all over the place; Namely Lev and Shinsuke.
7. ARC 7
Here, the real plan begins.
Where Shinsuke and Lev were invited by Kiyoomi to his residence to just talk. This was done right at 11 pm where everyone was resting. There they talk and meet Tadashi too; At first the two of them were confused until Motoya explained what he meant.
It is clear to Shinsuke that he is adamant about refusing because he remembers that Motoya is part of the Morimi Yakuza; Where he was the grandson of Tomohiko Morimi— meanwhile, Lev fell silent and thought about all this.
This is an opportunity. Lev chose to agree. Tadashi is still confused and Kiyoomi chooses to follow the plot. It was decided that they agreed to this plan.
Lev afterwards gets scolded by Shinsuke for being careless. But, in the end Shinsuke decided to go with the flow. At least until spring high ends; he can not waste time too.
From the side of the criminals, they are now confused by what Tadashi and Kiyoomi is doing, and are planning a new plan.
They will decide to destroy all existing Runaways. At least, that's the result of what was done. However, this plan is considered too dangerous until "One" then has the idea to destroy the Runaways who are involved in a different way...
About a week later passed.
The Underground started with Shinsuke.
They sent an email containing a folder that Shinsuke actually almost made by his family as a kidnapping victim Yakuza Yukikage Gang. This made Shinsuke clearly not believe it at first, but after he searched for and confirmed the document existed, then he believed it.
Because of this, Shinsuke argues with Yumie until he is kicked out of Yumie's house. This made his pride tarnish so he did as Yumie asked him to do— At first he decided to kill himself, but remembering Lev—He fled to Tokyo from Hyogo.
On the train, Shinsuke entered a wagon that only had a few people. The destination to Tokyo was deserted from Hyogo at that time due to a rainstorm.
On the train, he bumps into... "Six". Which "Six" then offered Shinsuke to join the Underground and get revenge on Yumie and his family.
However, Shinsuke balked and chose not to seek revenge. There was a bit of a debate which, in the end, Shinsuke won the debate.
8. ARC 8
Meanwhile at Lev's residence, where at that time Lev was offered to move to Russia because he felt that Japan was no longer safe. However, Lev said that he would think about it first.
At the same time, he gets a call from Shinsuke who says that he just ran away from his house. It was raining heavily in Tokyo so Lev immediately went to pick up Shinsuke at the train station after a long journey from Hyogo.
On the same hand, Tadashi gets a second attack from River. But this time, the Armed Detective Agency is also involved, to be precise Junichiro who secretly disguises himself to help Tadashi.
It's safe to say that Motoya is working closely with ADA. With the guarantee that Morimi's Yakuza Gang will work well with the ADA without making any fuss in future later— this contract is black on white.
In this fight, the real "River" is... Koganegawa Kanji.
→ Koganegawa became a member of the Underground to take revenge for what Morimi did to his sister who was kidnapped by them.
The fight was stopped halfway due to an interruption from "One" who took away Koganegawa who was on the verge of losing.
Therefore, for the time being, Tadashi will stay in Yokohama to be well looked after by ADA members.
This was immediately reported by Tadashi to the concerned group. Where with this, they linked the existing theory.

9. ARC 9
After all the perpetrators were exposed, then it was time to prepare. Motoya has emailed ADA, in the meantime they will take care of the rest. However, the reality is not as easy as imagined and this makes everyone's hassles.
There will be a big battle against the Underground of those who are Runaway.
Bokuto will face off against Lev.
Bokuto's ability is to move from one room to another.
The reason he became evil was because he just felt drawn to having vicious thoughts. In other words, he is the manipulator of everything.
Goshiki will face off against Shinsuke.
With his abilities in the form of changing and disguising.
The reason he became so was revenge for his parents.
Yahaba would come face to face with Kiyoomi.
With his abilities in the form of copying other people's abilities.
And last, Koganegawa will face Tadashi...
Arc 11 - LAST ARC
A fierce battle ensued between everyone.
Shinsuke's fight against Goshiki not really an easy fight. Goshiki won both physically and in experience. Meanwhile Shinsuke is only experienced in Kendo which makes him have to use his abilities against Goshiki. In the end, both of them were in critical condition after fighting each other.
Kiyoomi's fight with Yahaba was quite intense where Kiyoomi was crushed; however, Kiyoomi used his last weapon to attack Yahaba who then Yahaba died at Kiyoomi's hands.
And Koganegawa is mentally exhausted when Tadashi uses his ability to manipulate Koganegawa's mind.
Meanwhile with Lev and Bokuto; the two of them fought even though Lev was devastated because of this fierce battle. Bokuto didn't give up there, he took Lev to a place with his ability which was in that place, there was a puzzle that Lev had to solve. Or not, Lev will pay the price; namely, losing all of Nekoma's members by way of Nekoma's school being bombed.
Lev solved the puzzle in his last seconds. Before Lev, finally got shot by Bokuto in the head.
But Lev then wakes up again.
Lev turns out to be revived by Komori's ability. Komori explains that Bokuto was the one who died because of Komori's use of his Ability which required a soul exchange; this made Lev panic a little, because Bokuto should be in trial alive, not dead. However Komori said it was his job to do. What Lev needs now is rest.
Meanwhile, Shinsuke also woke up after Lev, followed by Kiyoomi. The two of them were immediately hugged by Lev, not forgetting Tadashi who also hugged them after their long journey.
11. Arc 11 - Bonus Arc
Now is 2024.
Lev is still a model. However, he stayed in Russia after that incident because indeed, he had to follow his parents' advice like it or not. He parted ways with his four best friends; but this time, he came back for Japan for a while.
Shinsuke lives far away in Hokkaido as a farmer. Before graduation he had lived at a relative's house, and upon graduation he decided to move away. Also a little alienated from his team members.
Tadashi works for the ADA agency. He is on the same team as Atsushi and is still on good terms with the Karasuno team. Although, he kept his work a secret from them.
And Kiyoomi and Komori continue their journey as members of the Yakuza. Even though their main occupation is an athlete; does not deny that their goal at this time is to complete the affairs that Morimi made in the past.
Thanks for reading this far.
I'm very happy because in the end I can pour all my ideas.
