there was that time, laying in the open field behind the school, that you asked me why i always avert my gaze around you. i wasn't able to provide you with an answer. and how could i? when you were laying so close to me, nothing more than the thin separation of blades of grass between us. the same grass that i twisted in between my fingers as i fumbled for any semblance of a correct response. you weren't looking for a 'correct' answer, but an honest one, and perhaps--in the grand scheme of all things--that was worse.

it was hot that day. some week in late august, when we were skipping class. a class i shouldn't have skipped. considering the fact that i was flunking it. i had to get kun to tutor me, though i also remembering begging you too. i knew you weren't any good at the subject, but to me, at least, you could never be bad at anything.

you always loved the sound of cicadas. they were loud that day, a steady stream of their chirping that you said sounded like the melody of your favorite song. no matter how hard i tried, i couldn't figure out exactly what you meant. but perhaps that was because they were hard to hear over the beating of my heart. a rhythmic pounding that overtook all other noises beyond the tone of your voice. the up and down waver of your inflection which cut clear through everything else in its way. you sounded like my favorite song that day. though i guess your voice is always my favorite.

the answer to your question, the one you asked about me averting your gaze--if you still care for the answer, i hope you do (pray)--is one that you probably already know. or one you have figured out through my obvious yearning. or told by hendery, the most likely out of the three options. i can't look at you for long, because if i do--if i spot the reflection of myself in your irises and the utter adoration in my own--it becomes obvious what i feel for you.

if you were to look into my eyes, to return my stare with one of your own (the same one that makes my mouth run dry and my chest burn) then you'd catch every bit of longing for you that i hold in my body. the same longing that is desperate for your words, attention, touch, kiss.

if i did answer your question that day, underneath the heat of a dying summer (one which remains immortal in the grounds of my memory) and in a moment caught in time, i'm afraid that i might have kissed you. that my silly, schoolboy crush would have superseded any inkling of common sense in nothing but the sheer hope that you would kiss me back. would you have? kissed me for an honest answer?

i'm being honest now. so when you get this, and if you still care--if you would have rewarded me back then in between the blades of grass and in the lull of the cicada's song that summer--will you repay me with a kiss?

about dejun's love letters.

xiaojun's handwriting is practiced to a degree of elegancy, with swooping ends of consonants and dramatically drawn vowels. everything about him is beautiful, so it only makes sense for this to be as well, with elongated strokes of cursive that seem to be stripped from the fine pages of old prose. despite all of its intricacy and detail, it's always legible. every phrase and sentiment able to be discerned underneath all the glitz and glamor of his penmanship (something he tends to regrets each and every time ten or hendery seems to get their hands on them).

he's a nostalgic person, constantly and consistently returning to old memories to revisit them again and again and again. he loves to write about the past, to remember every detail that made his head spin and his breath catch. and he loves to relive them, though it's nearly melancholy, and to write them down with such a pretty consideration to ensure he'll never forget them. it's for this reason that he writes on white lined paper, the kind you rip out of notebooks or are handed in secondary school. it's rather pointless in the grand scheme of things, since his words transcend lines and sentences break across margins. isn't it really all for the memory, though?

like chenle, xiaojun's letters are not slipped into an envelope, stamped with an address, and signed off with your name. he finds there to be something devastatingly romantic in writing love letters that will never reach their addressee, or at least, don't have the intent too. but he hopes that one day, perhaps in the silence of a conversation or when his hand is clutching yours a bit too tight, that he'll find the courage to enunciate all of his affections. and then deliver the letters, each and every one that he has written throughout all the years he has known you, in the hopes that your love will become something that he can hold with both nostalgia for your younger years and fortune for your future ones.

Both Zoro and Luffy are the only ones in the Straw Hat Pirates who can use all three types of hakis:

Kenbunshoku Haki (aka Observation Haki)

Busoshoku Haki (aka Armament Haki)

Haoshoku Haki (aka Conqueror's Haki, Color of the Supreme King), which is a type of haki that the individual has to be born with to be able to use it, and is also known as very rare ability that only one in several million people are born with.

Zoro's animal resemblance is shark[6], and in the cover of chapter 3 (in which he was introduced) shows a picture of Luffy riding on the back of a shark.

However, Zoro is later represented also as a tiger in chapter 651 color spread, and in Color Walk 9 Tiger cover we see only Zoro and Luffy (and Chopper) with a giant tiger. In chapter 394 color spread we see Luffy standing on a tiger (with Chopper), and Luffy also rides a tiger hoverbike in chapter 872 color spread.

Luffy's animal resemblance is monkey[6], and in chapter 174 cover page Zoro is sharing a bath and drinking sake in a hot-spring with a pack of macaques (also known as the "snow monkeys").

Summary: Dwalin is a bigger softie than he lets on.

It was finally that time of year again, Valentine’s day, a great day to show your husband just how much he meant to you. You had been planning for a while now, and everything had managed to work out for you just in time.

You were excited to give your husband his present, very excited, so excited that you were waiting outside of his meeting, impatiently waiting for it to adjourn.

He stepped out the door, with the crowd, and couldn’t hide his smile when he saw you sitting against the opposite wall.

“What’re you doing here?” He asked, holding a hand out to help you up, “Thought I wouldn’t see you ‘til tonight.”

“That’s why I had to come see you.” You said, moving to kiss him, and nearly catching him by surprise.

Of course, actually catching him by surprise was something you had only managed a few times throughout your relationship. He was a difficult man to sneak something past, but you knew he had no idea what was coming later.

When you parted, he wrapped an arm over your shoulder to start on home, but you stopped him and gestured the other way.

“Why don’t we take a walk?” You asked.

He agreed, not quite understanding where or why, until you reached a place he was very familiar with.

“The forge?” He asked, as you dragged him to the station where he usually worked, “What have you been up to?”

You grinned at him, as you produced a knife, and set it on the workbench. He rose an eyebrow at the gesture, before picking it up to look it over.

“Did you make this?” He asked, noticing the craftsmanship.

You nodded, incredibly proud that it had turned out as well as it had. You had had strenuous lessons with Thorin before he helped you with your project, but every moment had been absolutely worth it to see your husband’s expression right now.

“Do you like it?” You asked, nerves bubbling up as he stayed quiet “I know it’s not your axes, but I thought it would be nice for you to have one I made.”

“Of course, I like it.” He said, sliding it into his belt to wear it proudly, “It came out beautifully for a first piece.”

Now that truly was a compliment, but you had to admit, “I did have a little help.”

“I’d hope so, a forge can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.” He said, “Thank you, I’ll always have it on me.”

He slid a hand around your waist, and pulled you in for a kiss, when you pulled apart, he took your hand.

“Let’s go home.” He suggested, and this time you agreed.

Little did you know that he had something up his sleeve as well, and when you got home, it was wrapped on the bed.

“It’s not a beautiful knife.” He warned, handing you the package, “But, I think you’ll still like it.”

“I’m sure I will.” You said, pausing to kiss him before you sat on the edge of the bed and opened you present.

Underneath the wrapping, was a book, with a plain enough cover, save for a title carefully imprinted into the leather.

“I’ve never heard of this.” You admitted, recognizing that the word must be khuzdul, “What does it mean?”

“You know this one, I’ve called you it before.” He insisted, taking a seat beside you before telling you anyways, “Ukrad, my greatest heart.”

You rested your head on his shoulder for a moment, before you turned just enough to brush your lips to his, “That’s sweet.”

“Why don’t you open it?” He asked, waving for you to lift the cover.

When you did, you looked at the most detailed drawing you had ever seen, of you and your husband in a half embrace, while smiling at whoever held the book.

You let out an audible gasp, before running your finger over the drawing, “You had us drawn into this book?”

“I’ve had more than that done.” He said, taking the next page and flipping it to reveal the start of the story.

Your eyes locked straightaway on two names that stood out in the print of the text, and you read the start, only to discover it was the story of how you met your husband.

“Dwalin, you had a book written about us?” You asked, setting a hand to your heart. He really was the sweetest dwarf, “This is amazing.”

“I figured it would be nice,” He admitted, gently brushing a hand over the page, “This way, if we have any little ones, we could read them a proper love story before bed.”

“A proper love story indeed.” You agreed, flipping through the rest of the pages, and noticing more drawings popping out at you. You had to stop, worried you would begin to cry if you kept going. You traced the title with your finger, and set the book down on your lap, “I love you so much, thank you for this.”

He kissed your temple, wrapping an arm around you, “Want me to read it with you?”

“I think we know how it goes.” You teased, “But yes, absolutely.”

I fucking hate school

Get me out of this place

I'm supposed to do an English speaking thing and I showed the teacher what I'm doing for it and I said it's solitaire. (I didn't say it was a book)

she said to me that "I can't just stand in front of the audience and read that it's supposed to be about something I'm interested in, like a celebrity or film."

She asked me if I had something I'm interested in, and I said no. now I have to go and see her and plan something with her.

What I'm interested in is reading books. but I guess I'm not allowed to talk about that.

I felt like you might be a fun person to consult! We're watching 5Ds and my watch partner is obsessed with Exodia decks and will not stop theorizing.

In a tournament like WRGP, if you pull out Exodia on the first person do you think it counts as a clean sweep?

Hangon I gotta go consult the monks who keep the 872 page mystic tome wherein the secret tournament rulings for yugioh are held.

My gut instinct is it wouldn't give you an automatic win against all three opponents, you'd have to let the enemy team have a turn in between exodia-ing. Which, in 5Ds ruleset, means if you drew all five pieces turn one:

Turn 1: Exodia in hand. Win duel against your Opponent Driver 1.

Turn 1, end phase: Opponent Driver 2 tags in for the defeated Opponent Driver 1. Whoever takes the corner first has the next turn of this "new" duel.

Turn 2: Theoretically, you could win the Turn Turn Priority (<- a name I just made up) and repeat your success against Opponent Driver 1. However, if Opponent Driver 2 takes Turn Turn Priority, they have an opportunity to cast a spell/lay down a trap that negates, removes, or otherwise bungles your exodia gambit!

Granted, the possibility of a this being a non 3TK relies on them both winning Turn Turn Priority, and having something for removal in their opening hand, but hey! If this truly is happening in the world of the anime, don't worry about the odds! Just believe in the heart of the cards and your friends and you should be fine.

AFTER CONSULTING AN ACTUAL YUGIOH PLAYER:

I have been informed that Exodia is not a monster effect, it is a victory condition. And, as such, it does not resolve. Meaning it is still an active effect when Opponent Driver 2 takes their place on the track, even if they win Turn Turn Priority. If the player going second has all five pieces of exodia in their hand, they win the duel before the first player enters the draw phase. There is no window for retaliating play, they just. Lose as soon as they go to draw a card.

HOWEVER

I’ve pored over the rulings history, and am unsure how a continuous victory condition would interact with the fact that in the WRGP, when a drivers life points reach zero, the duel immediately advances to the end phase and the losing driver can activate card effects in they so desire.

If Opponent Driver 1 activates a card effect in their end phase that lets them draw a card during the end phase (rather than their next draw phase) and they add a card to their hand before they officially have to tag in their teammate, and in their opening hand had four pieces of exodia, and their end phase card effect put the fifth piece into their hand before they pulled into the pit and transferred their hand to Opponent Driver 2.

Opponent Driver 2 would also start their turn with all five pieces of exodia in hand. And the duel would end in a draw!

#alternatively opponent player one could be able to activate some effect that forced you to discard or redraw your hand #Like I said.
