Wallflower Arts (Instagram @wfastudio) #Oakland is Meg Schwarzman who creates public mural art across the SF Bay Area and now elsewhere in the US, usually integrating representation of native wildflowers. Meg is accepting commissions! Her maternal grandmother was a botanist, and Meg says Wallflower “germinated as a pandemic art project on my garage doors -- a burst of life and color in a public space at a moment when so many of us were confined to private spaces, and when neighborhood walks were the only escape. As a physician working through that scary time, painting was a balm, and creating public art connected me to everyone who passed by. Art transforms public spaces, and maybe for a moment it also changes the people who see it.”

Here is a gem called Big City Sue-zers! A theme band after the grand cartoon show Big City Greens @big_city_greens_official on Disney by @chrishoughton and Shane Houghton @shaneho00!!! Travis, Eric, and myself had been working on this project for most of this past year. The little beans and our friends Eva and Heffler all had a hand in it as well as Chris who has been so generous and awesome with this project! Also thank you to Marieve Herington too for awesome tilly samples! Travis was really the brainchild of this project and I reached out to see if it was alright to do something fun!

Big City Greens is a staple in our house and is a very fun, amazing, witty and hilarious show to watch. Both child and adult will fall head over heels with every character. CHECK IT OUT!

Love Memoir “It’s been five years, and I thought I had processed my grief, but I hadn’t. I was actually helping my [then] teenage daughter through hers,” - Iman, on making ‘Love Memoir’ by Iman Eau de Parfum. For founder of the revolutionary, shade-inclusive ‘Iman Cosmetics’ established in 1994 - creating her own perfume just never crossed her mind. She thought scent too personal. For years she wore ‘Robert Piguet Fracas’. With her first fragrance ‘Love Memoir’ getting personal is exactly the point. ‘Love Memoir’ was created as an olfactive tribute to her relationship with her husband, the late, great musician David Bowie. The pair lived in New York City, but also shared a home in upstate New York. During the pandemic, Iman found herself alone, revisiting some of the memories she shared with Bowie, many of them at their upstate property. Typically, she would never stay more than a weekend, because the place made her too sad. Since Bowie’s passing Iman had exclusively been wearing Bowie’s signature fragrance ‘Tom Ford Grey Vetiver’ - but there came a shift where she wanted to create something to wear, something new to honour him. The resulting juice is a blend of vetiver (one of Bowie’s favourite notes), along with bergamot, a nod to Florence, where they got married. The scent also has notes of orris and patchouli. The perfume is dramatic, yet soft.
