Crushes [’You and I’ Side Story]
Pairing: Douglas Booth!Nikki Sixx x Female Reader
Author’s Note: Takes place before the events of “You and I.” I was driving through Hollywood and saw a cute couple that reminded me of these two. So thank you, random strangers.
Tumblr media
Nikki exhaled as he closed the door behind him. He was relieved to be home after a somewhat mediocre gig.
London was slowly but surely losing its edge. He could feel it and mentally, he was preparing himself for the eventual breakup.
He made his way into the bedroom, setting down his bass. His head turned to see Y/N curled up in bed, hugging his pillow. He smiled, throwing off his shirt.
He knew she felt bad that she couldn’t make it to the show. She worked a double at the diner for the second time that week, exhausting her. He told her there would be other shows. He wasn’t so sure now, but either way her rest was more important.
His pants hit the floor and he kicked it away. He lifted the blanket and crawled under the covers. He threw an arm around her waist, moving his body closer to hers.
Just as he was about to close his eyes, he heard whimpering.
Her whimpering.
He opened his eyes, hoping she was having a sexual dream. But then he noticed the scrunching in her face and realized he needed to step in. He leaned up and gently shook her.
“Babe, babe, babe,” he coaxed her.
Her eyes shot open as she let out a sharp gasp. Her hand was on her chest and he moved closer to her, putting his hand on hers.
“Hey, it’s ok,” he soothed her. “Babe, look at me,”
She turned her head to him as he pulled her into his arms.
“You’re ok,” he assured her, kissing her forehead. “You’re safe.”
She let out a final sigh. “Fuck.”
“Bad dream?”
“That’s putting it lightly. One of the scariest dreams I’ve had in a long time.”
She leaned back onto the pillow, the palm of her hand rubbing her eyes as if that would take away the memories of her dream.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he murmured, his fingers carding through her hair. “It’s over and you’re safe. I promise.”
She looked over at him, flashing a small but grateful smile. She moved her body to him, snuggling her face into his chest and letting the smell of sweat, cigarettes, and Jack Daniel’s soothe her.
He smirked. “I can think of one way to get your mind off it.”
He leaned his head down to see her smirking back at him. “Nice try, Sixx.”
He chuckled as he kissed the top of her head again. “Worth trying.”
She hummed in agreement. If she had woken up on her own without a nightmare, maybe.
“How was your gig?” she asked.
“Eh, it was a gig,” he replied with a shrug. “We were good. The band before us fucking sucked though. They were a bunch of KISS wannabes which made it worse.”
“You don’t like KISS?”
“I thought they were cool when I was a kid, but they didn’t stick with me like other bands did.” He glanced down at her. “What about you?”
“I had a big KISS phase.”
He paused. “That…somehow does not surprise me. Did Gene Simmons’ tongue do it for you?”
“No, but Paul Stanley did.”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “Really?”
She looked up at him. “You judging me, Sixx?”
“A little, yeah,” he snorted. “I wouldn’t have taken you to as a lead singer kind of girl.”
“I’m not,” she insisted. “I actually find other musicians who play other instruments in other bands attractive.”
A pang of jealousy hit Nikki, but he wasn’t going to show it. Instead, he smirked. “Oh yeah? Name ‘em.”
She propped up on her elbow, her eyes meeting his. “Eddie Van Halen, guitarist. You should know that considering I told you that I lost my virginity to a Van Halen song.”
Nikki made a face. “Yeah, I sorta pushed that out of my mind because I don’t like hearing there were others before me.”
“There was only one, Mr. Possessive,” she reminded him, poking his nose.
“Yeah, yeah. Ok, Van Halen is fine. Who else is there? You’re forgetting a big one.”
“I am?” she questioned. Then she snapped her fingers. “Oh yeah!”
“Yeah,” he nodded.
“Drummer!”
Nikki’s face fell. “That’s not-.”
“Roger Taylor from Queen.”
He sighed, shaking his head. “So those are your choices? Paul Stanley, Eddie Van Halen, and Roger Taylor? You sure you’re not missing any other key band members you find attractive?”
She thought for a moment. “Ok so there is a bassist.”
“But it’s not Gene Simmons.”
“It’s not Gene Simmons.”
“Ok,” he nodded. “Tell me more.”
She rest her chin on his chest, sighing dramatically. “I don’t know if you know him.”
He knew damn well where this going, but he was down to play her game. “I might.”
“He plays for this band London.”
He chuckled. “London…yeah, I’ve heard of ‘em.”
“So he’s super sexy.”
“Super sexy? Sexier than the men on your list?”
“Definitely.”
“Ooh. Ok, go on.”
“He plays like a god. Like his talent is incredible.” She snuggled close. “He has impeccable stage presence.”
“Impeccable?! That’s some high praise, princess. What else?”
“He’s got black hair. Gorgeous eyes.”
He hummed. “Gorgeous you say?”
She nodded. “He’s also really good at comforting a girl after a nightmare.”
His jaw dropped, slapping his hand on his chest. “It’s me?”
“Surprise!” she giggled.
He leaned his head back. “Wow! I don’t know what to say. I didn’t see it coming.”
She laughed, burying her face in his chest.
“Hey Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“Out of all those crushes, which one do you like the most?”
She snorted and lifted her head up. “Who do you think?”
He shrugged. “You tell me.”
“Do you need me to stroke your ego some more?”
“So it is me?!”
She rolled her eyes as he threw his head back laughing. “You’re lucky I think you’re cute.”
“Obviously you do since you have a crush on me,” he reminded her. “So embarrassing.”
She pulled her lips back. “We live together, dumbass.”
He kissed her nose. “For what it’s worth, I have a crush on you too.”
She hummed. “And how many other crushes do you have?”
“Just one. You. You’re it for me.”
“Until you become a big rockstar and then have groupies.”
“Nope. I’m always gonna have a crush on you.”
She snorted. “Yeah, ok then.”
His smile quickly fell flat as his dark eyes softened. “Hey, I’m serious. I don’t want anyone else. Just you.”
The sincerity in his tone lifted warmed Y/N’s heart. She always knew he was serious about her, but every now and again, she needed a reminder that he loved her even if he couldn’t outright say it.
It was an issue she knew she would have to work on.
“And Y/N? I’m never going to let anything happen to you. I promise you’re safe with me.”
She pecked his lips before snuggling back into his chest. “I know. And I know you know you’re safe with me.”
His hand rubbed her back soothingly. “I know.”

Kinktober requests and guidelines 🧡
Tumblr media
Hello everybody! So this is my first time participating in Kinktober and before it starts I’m allowing requests for it!
When you request make sure to add a orange heart 🧡 on it so I know it’s for Kinktober. That way I don’t mistake it for a regular request.
Here are all the people I write for that are included in kinktober (no under aged characters/people such as Peter Parker)
Natasha Romanoff
Wanda Maximoff
Kate Bishop
Yelena Belova
Steve Rogers
Bucky Barnes
Tony Stark
Sam Wilson
Nikki Sixx
Tommy Lee
Mick Mara
Vince Neil
Tom Keifer
Eric Brittingham
Paul Stanley
Tommy Thayer
Slash
Izzy Stradlin
Barbie from the Barbie movie
Ken from the Barbie movie
The marvel cast that play the marvel characters I listed above
Taylor Swift
Now I would like to share how this will go:
Dom!character/person x sub!reader only. I don’t write for dominate/top readers I’m sorry.
Kinks I am willing to write:
Bondage, pet play, knife play, roleplay, kidnapping, dark!fics in general, daddy kink, mommy kink (only for the female characters I’ve listed), degradation, humiliation to an extent, voyeurism, threesomes and such, crying kink
Kinks I will NOT write under any circumstances:
Piss kink, pedophilia, incest (step-cest is ok just as long as said characters aren’t blood related), scat, cuck stuff, food play, age play, g!p or make reader, and I think that’s it.
So anyways I will be accepting kinktober requests until the 21st of September so have fun!

WELCOME! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
Tumblr media
As of right now, this page is dedicated to all sorts of fanfiction! I write x readers, canon ship fics, etc! I have five main fandoms that I stick to, but odds are if you request something else I’ll give it a shot too; if i’ve seen the source material of course.

Thaddius (The Ballad of Jack and Rose)
Paul Sandow (The King)
Don/Light (Light and the Sufferer)
Eli Brooks (The Girl Next Door)
SHIPS:
Klitz & Eli
Riddlebat (Bruce and Edward)
I’ve seen all of Paul’s filmography so if there’s a character not listed here that you’re looking for, I’m still open to writing them! These are just the ones that I feel most comfortable writing.
STRANGER THINGS:
Eddie Munson

REQUESTS AND BOUNDARIES:
Requests will always be open, here’s a short list of things I will write and won’t write. I hope it’ll be helpful when requesting!
WILL WRITE:
Headcanons, fics, drabbles, oneshots, etc.
Fluff, platonic, nsfw/nsft, and anything else in-between.
Things involving drugs, preferably just marijuana, but I’ll consider harder substances if asked.
Any sort of kink, I have a few exceptions which will be featured in the ‘won’t write’ section. Anything else is free reign.
I’ll consider topics including self harm or other things of that matter, but if I feel the request is romanticizing or glamorizing mental illness it won’t be accepted. It’s important to me that depictions like that are accurate.
Female, male, and non-binary/gender neutral readers. I normally keep everything gender neutral just for more inclusivity, but if asked specifically I’ll accommodate. When requesting please specify afab or amab! If not specified I’ll try to keep it ambiguous, or offer both.
WON’T WRITE:
Kinks including: Any sort of non-con, pee, scat, or snuff. Really anything involving bodily fluids or intense violence.
Requests with names or anything specific, I want to be as inclusive as possible so anything that’s specific to a single person will be denied!
Things involving abuse of any kind (sexual, physical, emotional)
Any sort of fic about real people, this is non-negotiable!
Incest or any other taboo subject.
Please don’t be afraid to request something! I’m always itching to write and will be more than happy to write something for you!

Surprise! {Paul Stanley x Daughter!Reader}
Requested By Anon: Reader is Paul Stanley's 20 year old daughter and she's studying abroad and KISS is performing and Gene happens to mention the reader and Paul informs the audience your away but then the reader comes onto stage as a surprise and Gene and the guys were in on it to surprise Paul!
Words: 2,534
(Y/N)-Your Name
(Y/F/D)-Your Favorite Dish
ENJOY:
Stepping off the plane you looked around and spotted your mother standing behind the barrier looking anxiously at the entrance. She spotted you and you saw her face light up, a large smile appearing on her face. You quickly hustled over to her, your backpack slung over your shoulder. You reached her and engulfed her in a hug. “Mom! It’s so good to see you!” You said with excitement. Your mother engulfed you in a hug as well. “Welcome home sweetheart!” She said hugging you tightly.
You had just come back from studying abroad. Your mother had told you that your father really wanted you home and you didn’t think you would have been able to make it, but then you found out you could and were actually able to come earlier! You were the child of the legendary Paul Stanley of KISS. You had always been close to your father. He was what inspired you to follow your dreams and fight for what you believed in. He was your world. So what better way to surprise him than come home early?
The thing was, was that he was actually on a holiday tour with his famous band KISS. He was doing some events around the states for the troops which he supported quite proudly. Earlier in the week you had called Gene Simmons, your fathers bandmate and close friend and had told him that you were coming home early to surprise your father and he was giddier than a kid in a candy shop. He loved the idea it and had told also Eric and Tommy and you were all planning it. On social media you were posting photos of yourself that you had pre taken of you in Europe to throw your father off the scent. He was always checking up on you and watching your social media. To be honest there was probably a comment from him on all your photos on twitter or Instagram. He was a dork and you loved it.
“So what’s the plan?” You asked your mother. She smiled as she walked alongside you as you guys headed to baggage claim. “Well your father is playing in Inglewood tonight, cause it’s the last show before the holidays.” She informed you. “We’re going to go into the venue at the Forum when they are on stage. Tommy told me that he’s going to have people waiting for you to take you to the side stage when it’s time. Then Gene is going to bring you up in conversation somehow and then you’re I guess just going to do your thing.” She said with a shrug. You nodded. “What time is the show?” You asked. “Start’s at nine tonight.” She said.
You guys had just arrived at baggage claim and you located the conveyer belt where your baggage was. You then grabbed it as it was coming off and followed your mom to the parking lot. You spotted the familiar SUV that your mom drove and gladly got in. After you buckled up you quickly took out your phone. “I’m gonna post another photo.” You said. Your mother furrowed her eyebrows in a confused look. You smirked. “To throw Dad off the scent I took a bunch of photos of me in Europe before I left so that I can throw him off and make him think I’m still in Europe.” You said.
Your mother smirked and she shook her head. “You are so clever. You get that from my side of the family you know!” She said jokingly. You couldn’t help but crack a smirk at the comment. You posted a photo of you in front of a monument and posted it with the caption of “Live every day like it’s your last! EXPLORE THE WORLD!”
Soon a ton of people had liked it including your father who posted in the comment “STAY SAFE!” and you couldn’t help but chuckle and show your mom who also shook her head, a smile on her face.
It took about 35 minutes to get to your house from LAX Airport. You were greeted by your younger siblings who greeted you with happiness. You made them swear to secrecy that you were home. The oldest of them understood and promised that if your dad called they wouldn’t tell him you were there. You were glad and after that you immediately went to bed. You were exhausted. Your mother promised to wake you up for dinner and so you could get ready for the show.
You got home around 10 in the morning and slept until 4 when your mother woke you up. You felt much better afterwards. You woke up to your mother shaking you gently. “(Y/N), sweetheart wake up.”
You woke up with a groan and looked around. “What time is it?” You asked. Your mother smiled. “Four PM.” She said. You nodded. “I’m going to hop in the shower and get ready before dinner if that’s alright?” You asked. She nodded. Afterwards you quickly got dressed into a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and a shirt that said, “I’m with the band.” Graphic t-shirt. You knew your father and the guys were going to get a kick out of it.
When you were younger you used to try and avoid their merchandise at all costs. It just seemed weird wearing a picture of your dad or just the logo on your chest. Now that you were older you were more accepting and loved wearing their merchandise, and showing your loving support for them. You were wearing a KISS wristband on your wrist. On your feet was a pair of black boots.
It was about 6 when you were finished with your outfit. You walked downstairs and saw your mom had made your favorite dish, (Y/F/D). You smiled as you sat down. “Thanks Mom!” She smiled and nodded. “I’m so glad you’re home.” She said to you grabbing your hand. You nodded and took a bite of the delicious dish. “I am too.” You said. “It’s delicious!” You said. She smiled. “I’m glad!”
It was about 7 when you finished your meal with your family and had a while to spare. You helped your mother get your younger siblings ready for bed to kill the time. It was enjoyable to be able to be with your family again. Studying abroad was amazing but you always missed your family. You missed being able to hug your siblings and hear their voices every day. It felt so nice to be home.
With the help of your mom you got the youngsters into bed by 8:20. It took about 40 minutes to get to the venue, and your next door neighbor was going to stay over until you got back from the venue.
Together you and your mother hopped into the car and you began to drive to the venue which was being held in Inglewood California at the Forum. It only took about forty minuets so you got there exactly at nine o’clock. 20 to 9 you got a text from Gene saying to go to the ticket booth and ask for a John Stark.
When you got there everyone was already in their seats, a perfect time for you to slip in. You did as you were told when you got there and a big burly man with a shirt that said “CREW” on it. He greeted you and took you and your mom backstage. You guys hid out in a small alcove and watched on one of the many monitors scattered throughout the venue as your dad and the guys went on stage. After everyone was sure they weren’t going to see you, you were snuck to the side of the stage and watched from there.
You watched as your father rocked out. You couldn’t help but smile as he played for the crowd many who were military. You watched as he pointed and smiled at fan in the front rows and saw how much he loved interacting with the fans. It was known that your father had a love hate relationship with touring. He loved playing and being in the band and interacting with the fans but he also hated being away from home from your little siblings and your mom. He was a family man through and through. However you knew that KISS was also his family. His baby. His brain child so to speak. He and Gene thought up the band and he loved it dearly.
The set list was 14 songs, not including the encore. In the beginning they played some of their classics like “Detroit Rock City”, and “Shout It Out Loud” getting the audience up and out of their seats and pumped.
Finally they reached halftime. To your surpise the crew brought out a giant box which was huge! You were told to get into it when you were told. You nodded and waited, watching your dad. He took off his guitar and began to take a break on stage all while chatting with the guys and the fans. A crew member slipped a mic into your hand and quickly showed you how to turn it on before giving you a thumbs up. You took a deep breath. Here we go! You thought.
“So what are you guys doing for the holidays?” Gene asked non-chalantly. Tommy and Eric, knowing the plan quickly said what they were doing. “I’m going to Hawaii!” Eric said which earned a few cheers from the fans. Tommy shrugged and just said he was going to have a relaxing time with his wife, Amber.
“What about you Paul?” Gene asked. Your dad who was politely listening to the others then spoke into the microphone. “Just spending it with my kids and wife.” He said with a smile. Gene nodded. “Is (Y/N) coming?” He asked. Your father beamed but shook his head. “No, I wish!” He said. (Y/N)’s actually in Europe right now studying abroad. She tried to get home but she wasn’t able to. I wish she could be though.” He said.
Gene nodded. “Well (Y/N) actually called me and she wanted me to give this to you!” He said. He then pointed to the giant screen above their heads. The screen went black before there you were on the screen sitting at your desk in your dorm in Europe.
“Hi Dad!” You said in the video waving. “I’m just wanted to say that I love you and miss you so much!” Your voice echoed throughout the arena as the video played. You saw your dad staring at the screen a smile on his face his eyes brimming with emotion. “I wanted to wish you all the best on the last night of your tour! I knew it was going to be great so I have a surprise for you!” You said in the video.
A crew member approached you and told you to get into the box which you did hastily. After they closed it you felt yourself being taken somewhere most likely onstage. You stopped and heard footsteps next to you. You saw the outline of your dad and smirked as he circled the giant present which you were in. “This better not be a prank.” You heard your dad say. You then heard the top of the box being taken off.
You popped up and came face to face with your dad. “SURPRISE!” You said into the microphone. The audience let out a roar of screams. Your father gasped and you saw him wide eyed and jaw dropped as he saw you. You stepped out of the box and he quickly enveloped you into a hug. “I can’t believe you’re here!” He said into the mic. You smiled and laughed. “It wouldn’t have been possible without these three and a whole team!” You said pointing to Gene, Eric and Tommy. You wrapped an arm around your fathers waist as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders. “I wanted to surprise you and come home and when I finally found out I could, I wanted to do it right!” You said. Your father shook his head in disbelief and he enveloped you into another hug. “Thank you so much you guys.” He said to his band mates. “My wish for the holidays had been delivered!” He said and the crowd gave another cheer. Your dad kissed the top of your head. “When did you get in?” He asked. You held the mic up. “Around 9 this morning. Straight from London.” You said. The crowd let out a cheer.
“This is the best thing ever. Thank you sweetheart.” Your dad said before giving you another hug and kiss. You smiled. “You’re welcome.” You said. You then separated and held up a hand. “I just want to thank Gene, Eric and Tommy for all their help. They were in on this the whole time and it was so fun planning this so thank you guys so much! Also to my mom who helped as well!” You said.
By this time the guys had come forward. Eric had stepped away from his guitars and had joined the rest of you and the guys on the front of the stage. You quickly hugged Gene, Tommy and Eric before looking to the audience. “ARE YOU GUYS HAVING A GOOD TIME TONIGHT!?” You yelled into the mic. The crowd ROARED. You couldn’t help but smile. “I’m so glad! The night isn’t over yet!” You said with a laugh. The crowd let out another roar. “I’m gonna let these guys do what they do best!” You said pointing a thumb at your dad and his band. “Thank you guys and have a great night!” You said with a wave to the audience. They gave another cheer and you turned the mic off and went to hug your dad and the guys one last time before heading backstage.
You were met by your mother who hugged you. “Great job!” She said. You smiled at her. “Thanks.” You said.
You were surprised when a crew member approached and told you that you were welcome to come follow him to your seats. You glanced at your mom in surprise and she gave a small smile. “My surprise to you!” She said. Together you both went to the front row and watched the rest of the show from there. Your father when he was getting ready to sing again he saw you and your mom and spoke into the microphone. “This next song is for my amazing wife and my beautiful daughter (Y/N). Welcome home sweetheart!” He said. You blew a kiss to him. He then smiled and began to play the cords for  “I Will Be There.” It was perfect. You smiled and hugged your mom as your dad sang to you, gazing at you the whole time as he sang. Your mom then bent down and told you to look behind you. You did as she said and saw that the whole arena had their flashlights and lighters and were waving them back and forth. You couldn’t help but smile and turned back to watch your dad.

End of Year Wrap-Up 24/12/2018
Happy Merry to all you readers!
I’ve had a great year but all us music fans have had an even better one! Streaming services mean that now more than ever we can experience the musical output from all corners of the globe (though overwhelmingly the English-speaking parts of it) to understand different points of view, learn of the goings on in other parts of the world and most importantly indulge ourselves in a bit of a boogie. All the moods, genres and feels you could think of are out there, so over the holiday period perhaps try and listen to something new. Who knows it might break the tension with that younger/older relative round the xmas table when you find they also happen to like k-pop/jazz-funk/grindcore or at the very least you can bicker about the tragedy of the current album charts (Greatest Showman: 21 weeks!). To aid you in your quest for knowledge/excitement/small-talk I have spent almost 30 minutes curating a best-of for both albums and singles in the year of 2018.
(NB even with my album-a-day policy, there’s no way I can get through everything I want to within the 365, so if your fave appears ignored, let it be known that I probably haven’t heard it yet. The full list of everything I’ve listened to this year is at the bottom)

Black History Month
“What a world this will be when human possibilities are freed, when we discover each other, when the stranger is no longer the potential criminal and the certain inferior!” – W. E. B. Du Bois
In honor of Black History Month in February, Penguin Random House has an array of beautiful and relevant classics, nonfiction and young readers’ books in the spotlight:
JEFFERSON'S DAUGHTERS: THREE SISTERS, WHITE AND BLACK, IN A YOUNG AMERICA by Catherine Kerrison
Thomas Jefferson fathered three girls: two white and free, one black and a slave. This book about Martha, Maria, and Harriet tells the fascinating story of their very different lives at Monticello and beyond, as daughters of one of our most brilliant and complicated Founding Fathers.
AN AFRICAN AMERICAN AND LATINX HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES by Paul Ortiz
Incisive and timely, An African American and Latinx History of the United States is a bottom-up history told from the viewpoint of African American and Latinx activists and revealing the radically different ways people of the diaspora addressed issues still plaguing the United States today.
BLACK NO MORE by George S. Schuyler, Introduction by Danzy Senna
The landmark comic satire that asks, “What would happen if all black people in America turned white?” In Black No More, George S. Schuyler attacks myths of white supremacy and racial purity and caricaturizes prominent African-American leaders like W. E. B. Du Bois, C. J. Walker, and Marcus Garvey. Black No More is a hilarious—and frightening—satire of America’s obsession with race.
MARCH by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, Nate Powell
March is the groundbreaking graphic novel series and vivid first-hand account of Congressman John Lewis' lifelong struggle for civil and human rights, meditating in the modern age on the distance traveled since the days of Jim Crow and segregation. Rooted in Lewis' personal story, it also reflects on the highs and lows of the broader civil rights movement.
THE COLLECTED ESSAYS OF RALPH ELLISON by Ralph Ellison
Compiled, edited, and newly revised by Ralph Ellison’s literary executor, John F. Callahan, this Modern Library Paperback Classic includes posthumously discovered reviews, criticism, and interviews, as well as the essay collections “Shadow and Act” (1964) and “Going to the Territory” (1986). “Ralph Ellison,” wrote Stanley Crouch, “reached across race, religion, class and sex to make us all Americans.”
 PASSING by Nella Larsen
Nella Larsen’s powerful, thrilling, and tragic tale about the fluidity of racial identity that continues to resonate today. A New York Times Editors’ Choice
THE SOULS OF BLACK FOLK (with "The Talented Tenth" and "The Souls of White Folk")
By W. E. B. Du Bois, Introduction by Ibram X. Kendi
The landmark book about being black in America, now in an expanded edition commemorating the 150th anniversary of W. E. B. Du Bois’s birth and featuring a new introduction by Ibram X.
