Royal mail ceo Simon Thompson has decided to go ahead with his plans to de-recognise the communication workers union by ignoring legally binding agreements and unilaterally deciding to forge ahead with changes that benefit the company, the shareholders and managers. They have recently been attempting to delay any further strike action and even trying to declare further industrial action illegal.

He has the tories on his side but we'll keep fighting until we're done. Fuck Simon Thompson. Fuck royal mail. Fuck the rich. Fuck the company. Fuck the tories backing these cunts.

Personally I think we need to more direct with methods of "communicating our intent" but we'll see about that.

If you have twitter let royal mail know they they can go fuck themselves.

Royal mail have once again brought nothing to the table with talks and think they can break us.

There are more strikes happening and I myself shall be at my mail centre from 6am onwards.

Postal workers work day and night, we worked through the lockdown and recieved fuck all from Royal Mail bar a slap in the face. Once again I'm asking people to share this and to let Royal mail know they fucked up.

There is something uniquely satisfying about delivering the coup de grace to an undead enemy with Toll the Dead. I mean, there’s something uniquely satisfying about finishing any enemy with Toll the Dead. “The bell tolls, bitch!” But on an undead it’s extra satisfying, because you climbed your way out of that grave but now it’s clawing you right back in again. You can only cheat death for so long, honey. Sooner or later that temple bell tolls you right back down.

(I’m playing a knowledge cleric, not a grave cleric, but it just feels nicely emphatic anyway. I’m playing a knowledge cleric of Deneir. The scribe god. Whose priests are supposed to be wandering freelance postmen and scribes, not exactly undead executioners over here. But she’s a shifter, and she felt literacy should be brought to the wilderness, so she multiclassed ranger, and I think she sort of took the oath of charity Deneir’s clergy take, to spread reading and knowledge and write letters for people for free, as more of a general ‘do good recklessly’ sort of injunction? So if someone asks for any sort of help, writing related or no, she’s just sort of ‘yeah sure’. She’s documenting it! Anything she does, anything she finds, the stories of the undead, she’s writing all of that down! She’s got a journal and everything. So she’s still doing her bit for the collection and spread of knowledge, absolutely.

Just, you know. Sometimes you also gotta Toll the Dead an undead knight or an abyssal spectre? She’s kinda becoming more of a Fallout: New Vegas sort of postwoman. She’s a little rat-shifter scribe with a +1 longbow and a dolorous bell to sound your belated death knell. She blows all her loot on books and a helm of comprehend languages (literally, that’s what she spent the reward money on. Well, those and a breastplate). I adore her. She’s going to get herself killed so quickly. And then she’s going to arrive in the afterlife and Deneir’s just going to be sitting there, holding up her journal in one hand and giving her the mute side-eye. But hey. She wrote it down! So that’s the job done, right?)

Anyway. Toll the Dead is just a really satisfying cantrip. The bell tolls, bitch. I know what god I’m meeting. Do you?

Now excuse me while I go get my frontier scribe messily killed. Heh.

"One Mail Daily In Some Areas Likely, So Many Posties Enlist," Toronto Star. May 20, 1942. Page 1. --- So many postmen have enlisted that mail deliveries may have to be restricted to one a day almost immediately. This was announced declared, today, by A. M. Gibson, district director of postal service. Leaside and Toronto island will probably be the first affected in Toronto district, Mr. Gibson said, but the reduced service may shortly be extended to all Canada. It has already been announced for Hamilton. "The change is necessary to conserve manpower," Mr. Gibson said. "We are making a survey in Toronto and the metropolitan area right now." "Only two men are available for mail delivery on the Island instead of three as in former years," he declared. Mr. Gibson emphasized that the reduction will not affect the business section or district areas in which businesses are concentrated.

"They will still have their two deliveries a day." he promised. The 515 letter carriers in Toronto, Leaside, Long Branch, Forest Hill have been greatly reduced by enlistments, he said. The reduced service will not be instituted all at once, but as more men leave their walks will be split up among those remaining.
