MY GOSH this was like, the last thing i did b4 i fully succumbed to burn out as a whole LMAO

i made this becoz i got inspired by marc brunet doing yoneyama mai’s style vid that passed by my feed as i scrolled through hoards wanting even a single dose of motivation to prevent what i knew was an upcoming artblock.

and y’know me, i HEART yoneyama sm. so seeing that was my absolutely yumyum cup of tea—temporarily 😭

u see, EVERYTHING WAS GOING SO WELL⁉️ until i reached my limit at (unsurprisingly) hair shading.

needless to say, this was scrapped becaz—sure, the idea was overall wonderful—but the way i did the blue moon weed flower and the lighting was just NOT it for me at all. nuh uh (i essentially went through a major sob story era after this BUT i convinced myself it was just a phase—and guess what? IT WAS!! showed myself i own me n i do me 🗣️ WHOS THE ALPHA⁉️😈)

(..i aint ever physically, mentally, emotionally nor spiritually recovering from typing that.^)

^basically, after struggling to find myself for a while, i soon fortunately managed to get back to it in the slightest!;) andddd so, recently, i alas decided to do something just for me.

no more frieren fridays(+apothecary dairies) were honestly hella extra upsetting when it happened during an existential crisis moment. but hey, i got to finally draw some characs i rlly love!

these are some 30 min warmups to both challenge and to have fun myself considering its been quite some time since ive picked up my pencil and done smth worth my while.

personally content with this. moreover, it genuinely helped a lot for me to start drawing stuff again;)

The trip from O’kasis has been long and brutal, even with her uncharitable opinions of ocean travel.

(Two: Three of her guards are on the waiting list for the Jury of Nine. Including the first son of O’kasis.)

She’s brought with her a force of ten guards, some of O’kasis’s best men and women. In the distance she can see figures making their way from the house on the hill down to the docks. Katelyn bets one of those figures is the Lord.

(Three: For some reason, Jeffory thought Aphamu was worth betraying their oath for. (For some reason she’s worth dying over.))

She is here on orders from Zane, who is not her Lord but acts as if he is, to figure out what exactly happened in Scaleswind. She is here to figure out what Jeffory saw in this Lady Aphmau.

Katelyn takes a deep breath, letting it hiss out through her teeth. This is going to be a long trip.

You ever think about how much it REALLY had to suck to be McCoy in The Naked Time? A crewman died on his watch when everything that he did should have worked. Others are dropping left and right from insanity due to the mystery illness. He's left to try to come up with some kind of cure while the medical team is slowly falling into chaos to the point that he pretty much has to do everything himself. And if you go by production order, this is after The Man Trap so this happening after several losses of life, including his ex, and the fact that he had to kill what to him was said ex to save Jim. I know he couldn't get infected in-story cause otherwise everyone would have been royally fucked, and actually seeing him manage everything and come up with a cure in a matter of hours is something the fandom doesn't talk about enough. But just imagine if he did and add everything else from the past (his divorce, his daughter, his father's death) and... yeah... that would have given the Spock losing control scene a run for its money in terms of pain.

@arcvmonth Day 30: Curtains Down!

Wow, what a month! Even though I ended up being a little behind because life got in the way, I had so much fun! It was my first time participating (and helping to host :3) an event like this, and it was definitely a great experience.

I tried to push my art throughout the event, and I feel like I've really improved because of it! Sure, I'm always trying to improve myself, but not only have I gotten so much faster (like, cutting an hour off the time it'd take me to do a full piece) but I feel like my art quality has really gone up as well!

I haven't had much time to reblog a lot of the art to my blog, but it was excellent to see all the submissions as I moderated for the event! From the fanart, to fanfic, to breakdowns and more, we had so many amazing submissions throughout the event.

As per usual, I have to shout out everyone who supports my artwork; whether it be a like, a reblog, or the lovely tags that a lot of you leave, it really motivates me and keeps me going! Thank you so much everyone!

For the future of my blog: I have a couple of things I want to draw that I've put on hold for the event, but after that, I'm probably going to take a short break. Not only to rest and recharge, but to hopefully finish off GX so I can start watching the other series! While Arc-V will probably always be the main focus of this blog, I would like to do more fanart of the other series going forward!
