After much heartfelt discussion and thought, we have decided to close out The Legend of Genji project to make way for the new Earth Avatar and allow our team members to start the next chapter of their lives and careers. April 2024 Camp Nano Project - Thief of Hearts

He stole her heart. She wants it back.

Rory is no angel. Then again, angels wouldn’t last long in Rime, the city of eternal winter and night she calls home. But it is the only place someone with half-magic bloodlines can make a semi-honest living without getting harassed.

Or at least it was until her heart was stolen.

Now she’s got two days to get it back from the thief who took it before she dies. Unfortunately, this also means keeping him alive long enough to get it back, and that’s not going to be easy when most of the city’s magical syndicates have a bounty on his own heart.

Some kinds of magic are illegal, even in an enchanted city like Rime. Emmett’s talent for stealing people’s life forces has put him on the wrong side of the law, and on the blackmail list of one of the corrupt leaders of the city’s biggest magical syndicate.

If he wants to keep what’s left of his family, he has to keep stealing the hearts of his employer’s competition.

One job gone bad, and he’s got a heart with a very determined owner on his track, and a boss who wants him to make things right. That is, if either of them get their hands on him before the rival syndicates’ bounty hunters do.

IT WAS AN ODD SENSATION, KNOWING THAT YOU OUGHT TO BE DEAD. Despite their differences, the daughter of drakes and the scion of the sea felt it all too keenly. Going against nature is not without consequence.

𝐈𝐈. 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 DAMNNATION

IOLAITH LIND KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING WHEN SHE AGREED TO BECOME AN HEIR TO THE HOUSE OF SCALES. But children are incapable of anticipating consequences they have not seen. To a girl just shy of fifteen, she imagined the Skal to be the solution to the hungry nights, hushed whispers, and thinly-veiled conspiracies. A means to an end, she thought-- a brilliant castle, five years to explore the endless archives of the capital and skies filled with dragons. Five years to let them turn her into a monster. Five years to lose it all in an instant. Divinity, or lack of, matters naught in twisted, desperate, gaunt hands of man.

𝐈𝐈𝐈. 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐒 ARROGANCE

ODETTE GIRAULT IS PLAGUED BY THE FACT THAT SHE DIDN'T MOURN HER OWN DEATH. In the grand scheme of things, it was painless; a clean, even line of crimson along the nape of her neck. She had been told that flowers had bloomed in the blood that pooled at her feet, the wind carrying their sweet fragrance instead of the hatred, iron, and fire of her ancestors. Though Odette figured they'd describe it differently if she hadn't returned from her own crypt two years later. The only constants in life are death, and time. What do we become without them?

𝐈𝐕. 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄 INDOLENCE

IOLAITH LIND WAS ONE IN A MILLION. Just not in the way she'd like to be. She knew children were conscripted from the nobility that lived in the mountainous karsts of the serpent's spine they called home, but as they poured through the doors leading into the far too large halls of the Skal, she became acutely aware of just how small she really was. A childlike wonder and penchant for mythology filled in the gaps that reality left-- ruins of a long dead civilization turned into the setting of her storybooks, serums to erase her dwindling humanity becoming elixirs to keep the lost, forgotten princess alive another day. Sometimes, delusion is a result of necessity. One will choke if clouded by the smoke of illusion for far too long.

𝐕. 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐔𝐒 ISOLATION

ODETTE GIRAULT WAS LONELY, BUT NEVER ALONE. Dragons didn't typically bond to humans, certainly not dead ones. She was a rider in life, albeit a poor one. If the dragons were seen as tools, then all she did was use them, for that was far easier than the alternative. The thought of having one's innermost thoughts open and exposed for someone to see were horrifying enough, not to mention when it was done by the ancient beasts who had created them. But it was Leysi, a creature who spoke in different tongues and had lived countless lives before Odette's own that saved her. There they were-- two beings who had stared death in the face and laughed, even if they weren't sure how; or why. The rationality of man and primality of beasts lie in a precarious balance.

𝐕𝐈. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 ANARCHY

IOLIATH LIND DIDN'T WANT TO BECOME THE NEXT KAISERIN. Which would've been alright, if every single one of her siblings hadn't hungered for it since they day they had entered the Skal. The Gestalt, a year long battle of feuding political groups and ideas for how the nation of Vorsung ought to be ruled, each with a potential Kaiseri at it's helm. Seven siblings, united in their strength, persistence, calculation and strength --yet not a single bound by blood-- campaigning and championing to be the face of a brighter tomorrow. Chosen by the wisdom of the high wryms, their progenitors, each selected Lind heir would be given a year to live and die by the judgement of the dragons. Ioliath may be clouded by delusion, shackled by doubt and insecurity, but she knows one thing for sure; she will not join her countless brothers and sisters as yet another nameless body to be hurled into the pits beneath the Skal. Even if the Gods ordained it. Ioliath Lind knows she must survive. Spite is one hell of a motivator.

𝐕𝐈𝐈. 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐌𝐘 CORRUPTION

ODETTE GIRAULT KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE FORGOTTEN. She hadn't been back at Skalvengr for even a day when she was told no one, in all her years of death, had visited her grave. It was an odd feeling, knowing that the world continued to move despite your own eyes not being open to witness it. Her death hadn't been recorded, her own family left on the winter western isles not even told of her passing. It was like she had simply ceased to exist. She hated it. She knew most riders went out the way she did, without a name for mourners to weep, without a body for loved ones to say goodbye to. She feared it, the fact that her own insignificance was enough to wipe her from the very world she fought for. When the Sanktions roll around, Odette knew that despite the carnage, cruelty, and unflinching resolve to the divine, it's her only chance at leaving a scar on the kingdom she calls home, for better or for worse. The twisted, monstrous Kaiseri need dragons after all, and who best to help provide than a rider? She knows the idea is foolish, deadly even, but she's died once-- and isn't afraid to do it again. Odette Girault knows she must be remembered. Fear is one hell of a motivator.

Pokémon Warden Project Announcement

Where one door closes, another opens. And for me, it just means finding new Pokémon projects to work on. This time, one I’ll be posting for about half of June.

I know that a big thing about Legends Arceus and its Hisui region is that the relationship between people and Pokémon isn’t the same as what it is in the present. Which is why a majority of the clan wardens and other trainers don’t have full teams of Pokémon for you to battle against. 

However, for the sake of fun, I decided to plan out what I believe their full teams of Pokémon would be like if they had them as well as why I think they would be good choices. Some are admittedly more fitting than others, but this is mostly meant to be in good fun and have as few repeats as possible.

So over the course of the next several days, we’ll explore teams for Akari (As the protagonist), Rei (As Laventon’s assistant), the leaders and members of the Diamond and Pearl Clan, and a new faction of warden that specifically exists in one of my many AUs called Wandering Wardens (though they’re still affiliated with the clans).

I hope you guys look forward to seeing where this goes and let me know if any of these teams stick out to you.

At long last…I’m back

And may I just say, it feels f*cking good to be back to doing what I 💜

Hey guys, I missed this place so much,

First off I want to say a big thank you to those who followed me and are still following me, honestly didn’t expect to get more than 1 follower, thats because I do this as a hobby, writing is fun for me but not a career I want to pursue

Secondly I apologise for my absence, I feel like a lot of you took the time out of your life to follow me with expectations of more stories to which I felt I disrespectfully did not fulfill. Although It was not my fault, august has been somewhat hard, went through a break up, got into an accident, fell sick. Twice. (Medical bills are booming). And recently adopted new pets I’m nursing so it has been a lot. (Don’t feel bad for me I’m literally ok)

Anyways now I’m back and with my return comes a full basket of new projects I have and will be working on, some If not all of those stories will be based on the following characters:

This is a major task, but my goal is to create a one-stop shop to find any and all information. I will be avoiding spoilers, so much of the information will cut off right at the beginning of Legacy of the Fallen.

I will publish the site as soon as I have enough information on there to make it worth a visit but will be adding content periodically. Having everything up right away is not realistic from my development standpoint.

I have no idea when I will be finished with this, but please let me know if you'd like to be notified when it's done. I will also be posting a link in my Masterpost once it's completed so you'll be able to find it there if you don't want to be tagged in anything.
