Unlife is Strange update: "Call of the Morrigan" Three Parter

So here's an update for Unlife Is Strange. I've been sitting on for a while, but I wanted to wait until it was ready before sharing it on here; the three part chapter - "Call of the Morrigan".

This one is another chapter I had to split due to it's length, but wanted to post back in December, but writing big chapters like this takes time. And the reason for this is because these are more action oriented chapters, and I'm not good at writing battle sequences.

I just did a word counter, and all three parts together is five hours worth of reading. The focus of these chapters is two battles that occur both in and out of flashbacks.

One battle against Mordred's followers, led by his attack dog, Alexander "Sawney" Bean; and another being a battle that Rachel and Daniel get caught up in against the Americanized Guard of Priwen. It's also meant to wrap up what I'm calling the "Beaver Creek" arc, before bringing the different protagonists together.

However, because it took me months to write all three parts, I'm also taking a short break for this story and focus more on my other WIPS, Love's Sacrifices and Mission to Silas; the latter of which has like three or four chapters left before it's wrapped up.

If I post a new chapter for Unlife in the near future, it's probably going to be a "smaller" more character focused one, since we're bringing Max, Sean and their friends together.

Content Warning: Like I said, this three parter is one long battle sequence involving vampires and hunters, it's both an action oriented chapter and a horror oriented one. While the first part is light on with, being a slow burn, the battle sequences contain extensive violence throughout parts two and three.

Without spoiling deaths or anything, this chapter includes -- Vampire related violence; gun violence; shootings; children being harmed and/or threatened; allusions and descriptions of torture; disturbing injuries, and trauma induced breakdowns.

The arc villain of these chapters, Sawney Bean, is his own trigger warning. Read here for his folkloric basis.

Being another chapter meant wrap up a story arc, it's one of those things where it gets worse before it gets better. Links to all three parts down below.
